Eternel Dieu béni, nous sommes reconnaissants de ce privilège d’être ici en ce lieu ce soir, cet hippodrome et cette arène. Et nous sommes très heureux de voir que sous une forte tempête de neige, les gens ont toujours le courage de venir entendre la Parole de Dieu, et que la foi de nos pères vit encore malgré la prison, l’épée, ou la mort. Et je suis reconnaissant, Seigneur, d’être associé ce soir à ce groupe de rachetés par Ton Sang.
Nous aimerions Te demander de nous visiter ce soir d’une manière très spéciale. Bénis ce petit groupe. Et nous prions qu’à la fin de ce service, alors que nous regagnerons nos foyers respectifs, nous puissions dire comme ceux qui revenaient d’Emmaüs: «Notre coeur ne brûlait-il pas au-dedans de nous lorsqu’Il nous parlait en chemin?» Car nous le demandons au Nom de Jésus, Ton Fils. Eternal and blessed God, we are thankful for this privilege of being here in this place tonight, this hippodrome and arena. And we are so happy to see that people in a daring snowstorm still has the courage to come out to hear the Word of God, and that the faith of our fathers is living still in spite of dungeon, sword, or death. And I'm thankful, Lord, to be associated tonight along this group of the purchase of Thy Blood.
We'd ask that You would visit us tonight in a very special way. Bless this little group. And we pray that when the service is ended, as we go to our different homes, may we be able to say like those who came from Emmaus, "Did not our hearts burn within us as he talked to us along the road." For we ask it in Jesus' Name, Thy Son. Amen. May be seated.

E-2 Alors que je venais ce soir, nous étions en retard comme on ne peut que rouler très lentement, les tempêtes de neige étant si terribles. Alors, je me disais que les gens qui viennent à la réunion à une soirée comme celle-ci ne viennent certainement pas pour être vus. Ils viennent parce qu’ils aiment le Seigneur Jésus. Et Jésus a dit dans Sa Parole: «Quand J’aurai été élevé, J’attirerai les hommes à Moi.» Et il y a quelque chose au sujet de l’Evangile qui a été la plus grande attraction du monde. Peu importe qu’Il soit prêché dans Sa simplicité, cependant, Il a quelque chose à Son sujet, tel que rien d’autre n’a jamais touché le coeur de l’homme pour l’attirer comme l’Evangile du Seigneur Jésus.
Et je suis reconnaissant à Dieu pour vous, ce groupe qui est venu ce soir. Beaucoup de gens qui vivent loin diraient: «Eh bien, attendez une minute. Ils feront là dix soirées. J’aimerais aller, mais pas en une nuit comme celle-ci.» Eh bien, c’est–c’est très bien. Mais vous avez–vous avez bravé la tempête. Maintenant, nous prions que Dieu vous bénisse et qu’Il réponde à tout ce dont vous avez besoin. Je suis ici en tant que votre frère et serviteur de Christ.
| E-2 As I was coming down to--tonight, we were late because you can just drive real slow, the snowstorms are so terrific. And I was thinking that people who come to a service on a night like this, certainly did not come out to be seen. They come out because they love the Lord Jesus. And Jesus said in His Word, "If I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto Me." And there's something about the Gospel that's been the world's greatest drawing card. No matter if it's even preached in its simplicity, yet it has something about it that nothing else has ever touched the heart of man to draw them like the Gospel of the Lord Jesus.
And I am grateful to God for you group that's out tonight. Many people living at a distance would say, "Now, wait a minute, they're going to be there ten nights. I want to go, but not on a night like this." Well, that's--that's all right. But you have--have dared the storm. Now, we're pray that God will bless you and will meet everything that you have need of. I'm here to be your brother and servant of Christ.

E-3 Et maintenant, je n’aimerais pas vous garder très longtemps. Demain, c’est dimanche. Et si certains parmi vous les visiteurs, venant d’autres parties du pays, sont ici, je suis sûr que vous serez les bienvenus dans certaines de ces bonnes églises, par ici le matin. Je sais qu’il y en a beaucoup. J’ai regardé aux petites annonces des églises, et il y a beaucoup de bonnes églises ici qui représentent l’église d’où vous venez. Et si vous n’avez pas d’église, trouvez-en donc une quelque part le matin et allez-y. Il y a des prédicateurs, je pense, qui sont ici à l’estrade, et ils seront heureux de vous avoir dans leurs églises. Je suis sûr qu’ils le seront. Ils vous donneront une carte de visite, s’ils le font dans leurs églises, afin que vous puissiez amener dans votre propre église et vous êtes... si vous êtes... vous ne serez pas pointé absent dans votre école du dimanche.
Ainsi, demain après-midi, le Seigneur voulant, il m’incombe de parler, demain après-midi; ce n’est pas un service de guérison, mais un message d’évangélisation. Et si vous, votre pasteur et votre assemblée, vous trouvez bon de venir, nous serons heureux de vous avoir.
Dimanche, nous ne demandons pas aux gens de quitter leur poste de devoir, sauf en cas de pleine collaboration de votre église et si vous n’avez pas de service dans votre église. Nous sommes ici en tant que visiteur. Nous n’aimerons pas tirer quelqu’un de son poste de devoir. Nous essayons d’aider l’église à grandir. Et nous voulons que chaque membre soit dans sa propre église. Et alors, si vous êtes malade et que vous voulez qu’on prie pour vous demain soir, obtenez la permission de votre pasteur. | E-3 And now, I don't want to keep you very long. Tomorrow is Sunday. And if any of you visitors are here from other parts of the country, I'm sure that you'll be welcome to some of these fine churches around here in the morning. I know that there is many. I have looked over the little ads of churches, and there's many fine churches here that represents the church that you've come from. And if you have no church, then find one somewhere in the morning and go. There's some ministers, I guess, that sets here on the platform, and they'd be glad to have you at their churches. I'm sure they would. Give you a visitor's card, if they do so in their church, so that you can take to your own church and you're--if you're--won't be counted missing in your Sunday school.
Then tomorrow afternoon, the Lord willing, it falls my lot to speak tomorrow afternoon; that is, not on the healing service, but an evangelistic message. And if you and your pastor and your congregation can see to come, we'd be happy to have you.
Sunday, we do not ask people to leave their post of duty unless the church has fully cooperated and you have no services at your church. We're here as a visitor. We don't want to pull anyone from their post of duty. We're trying to help that church to grow. And we want every member at his own church. And then, if you have sickness and you want to be prayed for tomorrow night, get permission from your pastor. Tell him what you want to do. If it's the only night that you can get here, we'd be glad to have you. But first, is your duty at your church.
And tomorrow afternoon, everybody I ha--guess has no services tomorrow afternoon, so if you can, come out. I want to preach on, tomorrow afternoon, if the Lord willing, "A Perverted Life." And be about a hour of your time, I suppose. And they've announced what time the services would start. I suppose at two-thirty. Every creed, denomination, color, race, everybody's welcome.

E-4 Maintenant, quand je pense ce soir à ce petit groupe, je n’aimerais donc pas vous garder très longtemps, comme je suis en retard pour commencer... Et nous apprécions les gardiens qui nous ont permis d’avoir des lumières et qui restent à nous attendre. J’ai rencontré deux de ces gentleman le premier jour ici, et j’ai dit: «Quand devrions-nous terminer?»
Il a dit: «Ça dépend de vous.» Eh bien, c’est très gentil. J’apprécie cela. Nous apprécions tous cela de la part de ces hommes. Et je leur ai dit que, d’habitude, nous sortons vers vingt et une heures trente chaque soir lorsque nous avons une longue campagne comme celle-ci.
| E-4 Now, thinking tonight in this little group, so I wouldn't keep you too long, being late to start with... And we appreciate the custodians who let us have the lights, and stays and waits with us. I met two of the gentlemen the first day in here, and I said, "What time should we close?"
He said, "That's up to you." Now, that's really nice. I appreciate that. We all appreciate that from them men. And I told them that usually we were out by nine-thirty each night when we have a long campaign like this.

E-5 Et maintenant, j’aimerais vous parler un peu de la Parole. Combien aiment la Parole? Oh! Il y a quelque chose de réel au sujet de Cela. Je pense qu’on doit lire la Parole à chaque service. En effet, ma parole faillira; votre parole faillira; mais la Parole de Dieu ne peut jamais faillir, parce que c’est la Parole de Dieu.
Et je pense, ce soir, juste pour un petit texte dont je me suis servi avant ailleurs, j’aimerais attirer votre attention dans Matthieu au chapitre 12, verset 42. J’ai tiré une petite pensée de ceci lorsque j’ai vu le petit article que frère Paul Boyd a écrit dans un journal. C’est un frère mennonite. Et j’ai prêché sur ceci à un autre endroit et peut-être que c’est là que frère Boyd avait pris cela. Et j’aimerais lire un moment, je vais probablement aborder cela d’un point de vue différent.
| E-5 And now, I want to speak to you a little from the Word. How many loves the Word? Oh, there's something about It that's real. I think the Word should be read in every service, because my word will fail; your word will fail; but God's Word can never fail, because it's the Word of God.
And I think tonight, just for a little text that I've used before in other places, I would like to call your attention to Matthew the 12th chapter, 42nd verse. And I got a little thought from this when I seen where Brother Paul Boyd had wrote a little article in a paper. He's a Mennonite brother. And I'd preached on this at another place and perhaps that's where Brother Boyd had picked it up. And I want to read for a moment, and I'll probably approach it from a different standpoint.

E-7 Je ne sais pas si frère Vayle a déjà annoncé cela, le départ à la Maison de frère Bosworth. Combien connaissaient donc frère F. F. Bosworth? Il est plus heureux ce soir qu’il ne l’a jamais été. Il y a quelques années, environ trois ans, il a effectué avec moi un tour là en Afrique du Sud, à environ quatre-vingts ans. Il a été sur le champ de bataille depuis qu’il était un petit garçon. Il prêchait l’Evangile avant ma naissance. Et là dans ces champs de bataille, parmi les indigents, prêchant l’Evangile... Quand je l’ai rencontré il y a quelques semaines, en allant lui rendre visite juste avant qu’il parte d’ici, quand je suis entré dans la salle, ceci m’est venu à l’esprit: «Mon père, mon père, char d’Israël et sa cavalerie.» Alors que ces mains tremblantes s’étendaient vers moi, il a dit: «Frère Branham, c’est le moment le plus heureux de ma vie.» Il a dit: «Je m’attends à Le voir à tout instant franchir la porte, et j’irai à la Maison avec Lui.»
| E-7 I don't know whether Brother Vayle has announced it yet, of the going home of Brother Bosworth. How many ever knowed Brother F. F. Bosworth? He's happier tonight then he's ever been. He's in glory. The gallant soldier, one of the most outstanding Bible teachers on Divine healing I ever met in my life... I've read of many great men, and I've read their history. I've heard them that had little mark here, and a little black mark here, and a little mark against them over here; but never one voice did I ever hear, or anything, against F. F. Bosworth. He was a man that lived what the Bible teaches. He was the most honest and upright and unguiled person that I know of. He...
A few yearr ago, about three years ago, taking a tour, way down in South Africa with me, around eighty years old. Been on the battlefield since a little boy. He was preaching the Gospel before I was born. And down in them battlefields, among the natives a preaching the Gospel... When I met him a few weeks ago, when I went to see him just before his leaving here, when I walked into the building, this come on my heart, "My father, my father, the chariots of Israel and the horsemen thereof." As those old trembling hands reached for me, he said, "Brother Branham, this is the happiest time of my life." Said, "I'm expecting any minute for Him to walk in the door and I'll go home with Him."

E-8 Avant son départ, il a eu une vision du Ciel. Je suis sûr qu’il a eu à serrer la main à Paul Rader, qui était son associé. Combien ont déjà entendu parler de Paul Rader? C’est lui le compositeur du cantique qui me sert de thème: Crois seulement. Il ne savait guère que ce garçon assis à ses pieds amènerait ce chant à travers le monde. Cela m’a invité, je ne sais dans combien de langues, dans des centaines de langues à travers le monde, comme indicatif.
| E-8 Before he left he saw a vision of heaven. And about two hours before his passing over, he went into, in a coma, raising up in his bed, shaking hands with someone, and greeting people that he had met and preached the Gospel to, had been gone for years. I think this of him.
Lives of great men all remind us,
And we can make our lives sublime,
With partings leave behind us,
Footprints on the sands of time.
I'm sure that he got to shake hands with Paul Rader, which was an associate to him. How many ever heard of Paul Rader? He wrote my theme song, "Only Believe." How little did he know, that that boy setting at his feet would take this song around the world. It's called me in, I don't know how many languages, hundreds of languages around the world, as a theme song.

E-9 Paul, quand il se mourait en Californie, on avait tiré les rideaux et on avait–avait fait venir la petite Bible... le petit quatuor de l’Institut Biblique Moody, là, qui chantait des cantiques. Ils chantaient Mon Dieu plus près de Toi. Et tous ceux qui connaissaient Paul savent qu’il avait un sens d’humour. Alors, il a levé les yeux, il a dit: «Qui est en train de mourir, vous ou moi?» Il a dit: «Tirez ces rideaux et chantez-moi de vrais cantiques de l’Evangile, pleins d’entrain.» Et ils se sont mis à chanter: A la Croix où mourut mon Sauveur. Il a dit: «Ça, c’est mieux.»
Et puis, il a demandé: «Où est Luc?» Luc était son frère. Luc et Paul étaient collés ensemble et ils ont travaillé ensemble comme mon fils et moi. Ils étaient des frères et amis. Il a dit: «Où est Luc?» Luc était dans la pièce à côté. Il n’arrivait pas à supporter de voir son frère mourir. Alors, il a dit: «Dites à Luc de venir.» Et Luc est entré. Il a tenu Luc par la main, il a dit: «Luc, nous avons longtemps été ensemble dans beaucoup de dures batailles. Mais, penses-y, Luc, dans cinq minutes, je me tiendrai dans la Présence de Jésus-Christ, revêtu de Sa justice.»
| E-9 Paul, when he died in California, they had pulled the curtains down and had--had the little Bible--the little quartet, Moody Bible Institute, down there singing songs. They were singing, "Nearer, My God, to Thee." And of all that knowed Paul, know he had a sense of humor. And he looked up, and he said, "Who's dying, you or I?" He said, "Pull back those shades and sing me some real snappy Gospel songs." And they begin to sing "Down at the cross where my Saviour died." He said, "That sounds better."
And then he said, "Where's Luke?" Luke was his brother. Luke and Paul stuck together and worked together like my son and I. They were brothers and buddies. He said, "Where's Luke?" Luke was in the next room. He couldn't stand to see his brother die. So he said, "Tell Luke to come here." And Luke came in. He took Luke by the hand, he said, "Luke, we've been a long ways together and through a many hard battle. But think of it, Luke: in five minutes from now, I'll be standing in the Presence of Jesus Christ, clothed in His righteousness."

E-10 Laissez-moi aller comme cela. Que ma fin soit comme cela. J’en ai tenu d’autres qui criaient et se débattaient pour chasser les démons loin d’eux et tout. J’ai vu des hommes s’en aller dans toutes sortes de conditions. Laissez-moi aller comme un chrétien. Laissez-moi arriver au dernier battement de mon coeur, en sachant ceci, quand j’entrerai dans cette grande chambre noire là, appelée la mort, je n’aimerais pas y aller comme un lâche. J’aimerais, quand je saurai que c’est ma fin, j’aimerais être revêtu de la robe de Sa justice; entrer dans la mort sachant ceci que je Le connais dans la puissance de Sa résurrection, que quand Il appellera, je sortirai d’entre les morts un de ces jours.
| E-10 Let me go like that. Let my end be like that. I've held them when they screamed and fought devils off of them and so forth. I seen man go in all kinds of conditions. Let me go as a Christian. Let me come to the last beat of my heart knowing this, when I go into that big dark chamber yonder that's called death, I don't want to go in like a coward. I want, when I know it's my end, I want to wrap myself in the robes of His righteousness, entering into death knowing this, that I know Him in the power of His resurrection, that when He calls, I'll come out from among the dead, some of these days.

E-11 Que Dieu accorde du repos à l’âme de F. F. Bosworth. Je suis censé prêcher à ses funérailles le lundi. Brother Vayle is trying to get a hold of Sister Bosworth, to ask if Brother Roberts or somebody could do it, 'cause there'll be many ministers there that could do it. And he's to be buried Monday at two o'clock. In respect of this great warrior, before we read the Word of God, let's stand to our feet and offer prayer to God for this gallant life.

Nous prions pour soeur Bosworth, pour ses filles et son fils. Nous sentons que la perte que nous subissons profite au Ciel. Et accorde-nous maintenant de combattre durement, car un grand officier de cette armée a été pris. Dans Ta sage providence, Tu as permis cela. Et nous prions que cela nous pousse, maintenant que nous voyons qu’il nous manque quelqu’un, à pouvoir revêtir toutes les armes de Dieu et combattre jusqu’à ce que Jésus vienne. | E-12 O blessed God, as Christians we bow our heads to the dust from where we was taken and someday we shall return if Jesus tarries. There is one who has walked among us and preached to us, Thy humble and holy servant, Brother F. F. Bosworth. Tonight his body lays in a casket, but his soul is with Thee, O God. And across the border as he was coming down to the river the other morning, and the waves was a flying high in the air at the old Jordan, we know that there was many friends to meet him, by preaching the Gospel, that by that cause, he had brought them to a saving knowledge of Thy dear Son, and they were there to meet him. We trust that You'll bless his gallant soul. And let us remember by his life, and his examples, and his teaching and how firm he stood on Thy eternal Word until he lived to be a ripe old age, way many years over the 'lotted time.
We pray for Sister Bosworth, for his daughters, and his son. We feel that our loss will be heaven's gain. And let us now press hard in the battle, for a great officer of this army has been taken. In Thy wise providence Thou has granted this. And we pray that'll it make us, now seeing that we're one less, that we may buckle on the full armor of God, and fight until Jesus comes. For we ask it in His Name. Amen. May be seated.

E-15 Jésus venait d’avoir une discussion. Il tenait une grande campagne. Et le genre de campagne que Jésus tenait attirait des foules de toutes espèces. Quand le surnaturel est fait... a été accompli plutôt, cela attire des foules de gens de toutes espèces. Cela attire cette catégorie de gens: Des croyants, des incroyants et des soi-disant croyants. Et c’est ce qui s’est toujours passé.
Et lors de cette grande discussion, Il a présenté l’Evangile et la puissance du Saint-Esprit. Et beaucoup de gens avaient cru en Lui. Mais comme d’habitude, il y en avait qui ne croyaient pas. Et ce qui est triste, mes frères, c’est d’y penser, sous cet angle, que ces gens qui ne peuvent pas croire ont été prédestinés à cette condamnation. C’est l’Ecriture. Si vous êtes un croyant ce soir, vous devriez incliner la tête dans la révérence et l’humilité pour remercier Dieu de ce qu’Il vous a choisi en Christ avant la fondation du monde. Car: «Nul ne peut venir à Moi, a dit Jésus, si Mon Père ne l’attire.» Et Dieu, par Sa prescience, ne voulant pas qu’aucun périsse, néanmoins par la prescience, Il connaissait qui le serait, aussi pouvait-Il tout prédestiner depuis le commencement... Jésus est venu sauver ceux que le Père a vus, avant la fondation du monde, qu’ils seraient sauvés.
| E-15 Jesus had just been in a discussion. He was having a great campaign. And as such a campaign as Jesus would have, it brought out mixed multitudes. When the supernatural is done--has been done, rather, it causes mixed multitudes. It brings this class of people: believers, unbelievers, and make-believers. And it always has did that.
And in this great discussion He'd been presenting the Gospel and the power of the Holy Spirit. And many of the people had believed on Him. But as usual, there are those who would not believe. And the sad part of it is, my brethren, is to think of it in this light, that those people that cannot believe were ordained to that condemnation. That's the Scripture. If you are a believer tonight, you should bow your head in reverence and humbleness to thank God that He chose you in Christ before the foundation of the world. 'Cause, "No man can come to Me," said Jesus, "except My Father draws him." And God by foreknowledge, not willing that any should perish, but by foreknowledge knew who would, so He could predestinate from the beginning all things... Jesus come to save those who the Father saw before the foundation of the world that would be saved.

E-16 Et par conséquent, ces religieux, des pharisiens, des docteurs très religieux... Oh! Dieu voulant, nous aimerions aborder cela cette semaine dans la Parole. Et remarquez, ils étaient très hautement instruits, des érudits, des saints, et pourtant des incroyants, des religieux, des docteurs, des sacrificateurs. Leurs pères et leurs arrière-arrière-pères étaient des sacrificateurs avant eux. Ils devaient être des Lévites pour être des sacrificateurs. Ils devaient jouir d’une bonne réputation, ils devaient être sans tache et sans faute, des hommes saints, mais cependant, ils étaient considérés comme des incroyants. Et Jésus a dit: «Vous avez pour père le diable.» Les hommes religieux, les plus élevés du monde en ce temps-là, Jésus a dit que leur père était le diable.
| E-16 And therefore, these religious people, Pharisees, very religious teachers... Oh, if God willing, we want to get down in that this week in the Word. And notice, they were very highly educated, scholarly, holy, and yet unbelievers, religious men, teachers, priests. Their fathers, and their father's father's, father were priests before them. They had to be Levites to be a priest. They had to be renown, they had to be without blemish and without fault, holy men, but yet were considered, and were unbelievers. And Jesus said, "You are of your father the devil." The highest religious men in the world at that present time, Jesus said their father was the devil.

E-17 Ces hommes, tout troublés par le surnaturel, ont dit: «Ça doit être une espèce de trucage.» Mais quand ils ont vu qu’un système mécanique ne produirait pas l’évidence... donc, ils ne le disaient jamais à haute voix, ils le disaient dans leur coeur. «Il a l’esprit de Béelzébul.» Pouvez-vous vous imaginer un homme si aveugle quant aux Ecritures, qui pouvait voir la puissance du Dieu Tout-Puissant accomplir des miracles que seul Dieu peut accomplir, ce qui était prédit dans la Bible, qu’ils seraient accomplis par le Messie, et puis taxer cela d’un esprit impur? Ils ne le disaient pas à haute voix. Ils n’avaient pas à le dire à haute voix. Jésus connaît les pensées de votre coeur.
Observez cela dans des réunions. Observez dans les réunions quand les démons surgissent, observez l’Esprit détecter cela comme hier soir, avant qu’il ait donc commencé. C’est le Saint-Esprit.
| E-17 These men, all disturbed about the supernatural, they said, "It must be some sort of a setup." But when they seen that a mechanical setup wouldn't produce the evidence; therefore, they never spoke it out loud, they said it in their hearts. "He has the spirit of Beelzebub." Could you imagine a man so blind to the Scriptures, that would see the power of the Almighty God performing signs that only God could do, that were foretold in the Bible that would be done by the Messiah, and then call that Spirit an unclean spirit? They didn't speak it loud. They didn't have to speak it loud. Jesus knows the thoughts of your heart.
Notice it in the meetings. Watch in the meetings when evil arises, watch the Spirit pick it up, like last night, before it ever got started. It's the Holy Spirit.

E-18 Et quand cela s’est produit, ils raisonnaient dans leurs coeurs (verset 25), disant: «Cet Homme est Béelzébul», c’est un grand esprit du diable, un diseur de bonne aventure, ou quelque chose comme cela.
Et Jésus a dit: «S’ils taxent le Maître de la Maison de Béelzébul, de quels noms taxeront-ils ceux de Sa maison?» En effet, ils ont des yeux, mais ils ne voient pas. Ce sont des érudits, instruits, raffinés. Mais ce n’est pas cela. Dieu ne vient pas par la connaissance. Si c’était ça, quand ils ont mangé de l’arbre de la connaissance dans le jardin d’Eden, ils auraient eu plus de connaissance de Dieu qu’avant. Par la connaissance vient la mort. Nous connaissons Dieu uniquement par la foi. Cela n’a rien à faire avec votre instruction ni aucun de votre statut social. C’est uniquement par la foi que vous êtes sauvé, et cela par la grâce de Dieu. C’est uniquement par la foi et par la grâce de Dieu que vous pouvez croire en Dieu.
| E-18 And as this taken place, they reasoned in their hearts (25th verse) and said, "This man is Beelzebub," which is a great spirit of the devil, fortuneteller or something.
And Jesus said, "If they call the Master of the house Beelzebub, how much more will they call those of His household?" Because they've got eyes but can't see. They're scholars, learned, polished. But that isn't it. God doesn't come by knowledge. If that would've been so, in the garden of Eden when they eat from the tree of knowledge they'd know more about God than they ever did. By knowledge brings death. We only know God by faith. Has nothing to do with your education or any of your social status. It's only by faith are you saved, and that through the grace of God. Only by faith and by the grace of God can you believe God.

E-19 Maintenant, remarquez. Il disait qu’Il connaissait leurs pensées; dans leur coeur, ils disaient: «Cet Homme est un–un imposteur. Il est Béelzébul.» Quel esprit était sur une personne. Aussitôt que cela les a frappés, Jésus le savait. Et Il a dit: «Vous pouvez taxer le Fils de l’homme de ce genre de nom, et Je vous pardonnerai; mais quand le Saint-Esprit sera venu, si vous parlez contre Lui, cela ne vous sera jamais pardonné ni dans ce siècle ni dans le siècle à venir.» Pesez cela dans la balance pendant quelques instants et pensez à ce que cela signifie. Le blasphème contre le Saint-Esprit ne sera jamais pardonné à un homme, parce qu’ils disaient: «Cet homme a un esprit impur.» Or, beaucoup parmi vous se sont demandé ce que c’est un péché impardonnable. Le voici.
Ma mère avait l’habitude de... comme elle n’était pas plus avisée, elle disait: «C’est le fait pour une femme, avant l’accouchement, d’avorter, d’ôter la vie à un enfant innocent qui n’avait pas de chance de naître–naître au monde.»
Mon père était en désaccord avec elle; il disait: «C’est le fait pour un homme de se suicider. Si un homme se suicide, il est fou.»
Regardez donc, l’Ecriture sert de toile de fond. Jésus a dit: «Si vous prononcez un mot contre le Saint-Esprit, cela ne vous sera jamais pardonné.» Tout péché sera pardonné, sauf celui-là. Et c’est l’incrédulité. Oh! Quelle chose horrible qu’est l’incrédulité! Et la plupart des incroyants sont des religieux. La plupart des incroyants, je répète, ce sont des religieux. C’est ce qui se passe dans chaque âge. Et cet âge-ci ne fait pas exception. Ce sont des religieux qui sont des incroyants.
| E-19 Now, notice. He said that He, perceiving their thoughts, in their heart they said, "This man is a--a faker. He is a Beelzebub." What a spirit to be on a person. Just as soon as it struck them, Jesus knew it. And He said, "You can call the Son of man that kind of a name, and I'll forgive you: but when the Holy Ghost is come, and you speak that against Him, it will never be forgiven you in this world or in the world to come." Weigh that in the balance for a few moments and think what that means. It shall never be forgiven to man to blaspheme against the Holy Ghost, because they said, "This is an unclean spirit." Now, many of you have wondered what is the unpardonable sin. There it is.
My mother, used to be because that she didn't know any better, she said, "It's a woman that would, before childbirth, would have an abortion case, taking the life of an innocent baby who didn't have a chance to bring--be brought forth in the world."
My father differed with her, he said, "It's a man that would take his own life. If a man takes his own life, he's insane."
So look, the Scripture is the background. Jesus said, "If you speak a word against the Holy Spirit, it shall never be forgiven you." All sin shall be forgiven except that sin. And that's unbelief. Oh, what a horrible thing that unbelief is. And the most unbelievers are religious people. The most unbelievers, I quote again, is religious people. It's been in every age. And this age is no exception. It's religious people who are unbelievers.

E-20 Et la plupart du temps, quand les gens sont religieux, ils pensent que Dieu leur doit quelque chose. J’ai vu des gens qui menaient une vie correcte dans l’église monter à l’estrade et manquer d’être guéris, tandis qu’une prostituée de la rue pouvait venir humblement se prosterner dans la Présence de Dieu, se reconnaître une prostituée, demander pardon et être guérie du cancer sarcoma. Alors qu’un chrétien est passé par là avec un simple petit mal de tête et a manqué de recevoir cela... Dieu ne vous juge pas ou ne vous guérit pas sur base de votre affiliation à l’église; c’est par rapport à votre foi que vous êtes guéri.
| E-20 And most time when people are religious they think God owes them something. I have seen people who's been lived in church a straight life, come to the platform and fail to be healed, when a prostitute off the street would come humbly and bow in the Presence of God and reckon herself to be a prostitute and ask forgiveness and be healed of sarcomas cancer. Where a Christian walked across with merely a little headache and fail to get it... God doesn't judge you or heal you by your church affiliation; it's according to your faith you are healed.

E-21 Puis, Il est allé de l’avant et Il s’est mis à les réprimander et à les condamner pour leur incrédulité. Et Il a fait ici cette déclaration remarquable: «La reine du Midi se lèvera au Jugement.»
Maintenant, Dieu, dans tous les âges, s’est toujours manifesté au travers du surnaturel. Demandez à tout lecteur de la Bible, à tout théologien qui est honnête, et ils vous diront que quand le surnaturel est manifesté, c’est la Présence de Dieu. Dieu opère toujours le surnaturel, car Il est surnaturel. Et dans chaque âge, quand Il se manifeste, c’est par le surnaturel. Il le fait parce qu’Il aime les gens, et Il aime séparer Ses croyants des incroyants.
| E-21 Then He went on and begin to upbraid them and scorn them for their unbelief. And He brought up this here notable statement, "The queen of the south shall rise in the judgment."
Now, God in all ages has always declared Himself through the supernatural. You ask any Bible reader, any theologian that's honest, and they will tell you that when the supernatural is displayed it's in the Presence of God. God always brings supernatural because He is supernatural. And in every age when He displays Himself, it's in the supernatural. He does it because He loves people, and He loves to separate His believers from the unbelievers.

E-22 Remarquez, l’âge dont parlait Jésus, c’était l’âge de Salomon. Or, quand Dieu envoie quelque chose sur la terre... (Oh! J’aimerais que chaque membre de l’église écoute attentivement.) Quand Dieu envoie quelque chose à l’église dans chaque âge, si les gens le reçoivent, cela devient une chose glorieuse. Et l’église est in-... reçoit la puissance, et de grandes choses se produisent. Mais si l’église rejette cela, cette église entre dans les ténèbres. Maintenant, vous les historiens, examinez un tout petit peu les âges et voyez si c’est vrai ou faux. Vous les lecteurs de la Bible, examinez l’Ancien Testament et analysez cela dans chaque âge. Dieu ne change pas.
| E-22 Notice, in the age that Jesus was speaking on, was in the age of Solomon. Now, when God sends something to the earth... Oh, I would that every church member listen close. That when God sends something to the church in every age, if the people receive it, it becomes a great thing. And the church is em--is empowered and great things take place. But if the church rejects it, that church goes out into darkness. Now, you historians, skip back through the ages just a little bit and see if that's right or wrong. You Bible readers, go back to the Old Testament and bring it down through each age. God changes not.

E-23 Et il se référait à Salomon. Salomon, Dieu a donné à Salomon, juste un homme qui avait ses hauts et ses bas et ses particularités, juste comme vous et moi, mais Dieu avait donné à cet homme un don parce qu’Il allait faire de lui... le présenter à l’église. Eh bien, si l’église l’avait rejeté, Israël n’aurait jamais connu cet âge d’or. Et tout le monde sait qu’Israël avait prospéré plus sous le règne de Salomon que sous le règne de n’importe quel autre roi qu’ils avaient eu. Le temple fut construit. Le monde s’inclinait aux pieds de Salomon. Et il n’était pas un homme de guerre. Il était un homme qui avait été rendu puissant par un don du Saint-Esprit. Et tout son royaume reconnaissait cela. Il avait un don de discernement, de discerner les choses. Et quand ce puissant don fut manifesté, tous d’un commun accord rendaient gloire à Dieu et s’attendaient à ce que cela vienne.
Ne serait-ce pas une chose glorieuse ce soir si toute l’Eglise du Dieu vivant pouvait reconnaître la Présence du Seigneur Jésus-Christ, le Don tout-suffisant pour l’église, et l’oeuvre du Saint-Esprit?
| E-23 And he was referring to Solomon. Solomon, God gave Solomon, just a man that had his ups-and-downs and his differences just like you and I do. But God gave this man a gift, because He was going to make him--present him to the church. Now, if the church had turned him down, Israel would've never have had that golden age. And anyone knows that Israel prospered more under the reign of Solomon than any other king they ever had. The temple was built. The world bowed at the feet of Solomon. And he wasn't a war man. He was a man who was empowered with a gift of the Holy Spirit. And all of his kingdom recognized it. He had a gift of discernment to discern things. And when this great gift was manifested, all the people with one accord to give thanks unto God and was looking for it to come.
Would it not be a great thing tonight, if all of the church of the living God, would recognize the Presence of the Lord Jesus Christ, the all sufficient Gift to the church, and the working of the Holy Spirit?

E-24 Je lisais un article aujourd’hui dans le Coronet sur le retour de la religion à l’ancienne mode. Et cela commence à présenter et à parler de l’Eglise pentecôtiste. Or, nous les baptistes et tout le reste parmi nous, nous devons reconnaître que l’Eglise pentecôtiste est l’Eglise protestante qui grandit le plus vite dans le monde entier. Malgré toutes leurs divergences, et toute leur incompréhension, pourtant ils viennent d’une ruelle pavée en boîtes métalliques, ils sont arrivés à posséder les meilleures églises du pays. C’est vrai. Malgré toutes leurs fautes, si tous les unitaires, les trinitaires, et tous les petits ismes pouvaient sortir de cette grande église, elle se lèverait comme un puissant conquérant. Mais ils sont très fractionnés et divisés. Satan a fait qu’ils se tirent les uns sur les autres, au lieu que toutes leurs armes soient braquées sur lui. Et ils tirent sur les méthodistes; ils tirent sur les baptistes; ils se tirent les uns sur les autres. Et l’égoïsme, les motifs ne sont pas justes; les objectifs ne sont pas justes. Mais malgré tout cela, le Saint-Esprit béni habite parmi eux. C’est vrai.
Et alors, la chose étrange, c’est qu’ils n’arrivent pas à reconnaître l’oeuvre du Saint-Esprit et à s’assembler tous et unir leurs efforts pour le Royaume de Dieu. Les baptistes sont tout aussi affamés du Saint-Esprit que vous les pentecôtistes. Mais vous êtes très divisés et vous avez jeté tellement de disgrâce que les baptistes, les méthodistes et autres ont peur de se saisir de cela. Et ce sont vos actes qui sont à la base de cela. Chaque être mortel a faim de Dieu.
| E-24 I was reading an article today in the "Coronet" about old time religion coming back. And how it begin to bring and talk about the Pentecostal church. Now, we Baptists and all the rest of us has to recognize that the Pentecostal church is the fastest growing Protestant church in all the world. In all their differences, and all of their misunderstanding, yet they come from a little tin can alley, until they possess the best churches in the land. That's right. In all their faults, if all of the Oneness, and the Trinitarians, and all of the little isms would get out of that great church, she'd rise as a mighty conqueror. But they're so split and divided. Satan's got them shooting at one another, instead of all their guns turned on him. And they shoot at the Methodists; they shoot at the Baptists; they shoot at one another. And the selfishness, the motives are not right; the objectives is not right. But in the spite of all that, the blessed Holy Spirit dwells among them. That's right.
And then the strange thing to be, that they can't recognize the Holy Spirit's work, and all come together and unite their efforts for the Kingdom of God. The Baptists is just as hungry for the Holy Spirit as you Pentecostals are. But you're so broke up and have brought so much disgrace because the Baptists and Methodists and so forth, are scared to take a hold of it. And it's by your actions that's brought this thing. Every mortal being has some hunger in him for God.

E-25 Maintenant, tout le monde était d’un commun accord avec Salomon. Et regardez comment les nouvelles se répandaient à ce sujet. | E-25 Now, everybody was with Solomon, one accord. And look how the news of that swept out. All across the lands, around the world, every heathen nation knew that Israel had a gift in their midst. He wasn't a prophet; he just had a gift. And they recognized it. And the church recognized it. The nation recognized it. And all the other nations, by that, knew that it was real.
Wouldn't that be nice tonight if the great church of Jesus Christ, where there's millions times millions of heathens going to hell every year, because we don't recognize the gift among us...

Des voyageurs passaient par là: «Oh! racontait quelqu’un, j’ai vu la différence, et ce grand homme, par son esprit de discernement de leur Dieu, a réglé la chose.»
La foi vient de quoi? De ce qu’on entend, de ce qu’on entend la Parole, la Parole du Dieu vivant. Et combien ils devaient avoir vivement désiré monter là voir cela! Finalement, la petite reine a décidé d’aller voir elle-même tout ce qu’elle avait entendu.
| E-26 Notice this just a little bit. And as the news swept up, way down in the land of Sheba... If you'll mark it on the map, it was a long ways across the Sahara to the utmost parts of the known world in that day. There was a little heathen queen, and everybody come by must have told her, "You should go up into Israel. Oh, they've got a man up there who is--has a gift of God. And they say it is most outstanding."
The travelers come by. "Oh," one would say, "I seen the difference, and this great man through his spirit of discernment of their God, settled the thing."
Faith cometh by what? Hearing, hearing the Word, the Word of the living God. And how they must've longed to get up there to see it. Finally the little queen decided that she would go and find out for herself all she had heard.

E-27 Maintenant, si vous avez un brin d’esprit en vous, vous vous intéressez à connaître au sujet de Dieu. | E-27 Now, if you've got any speck of spirit about you, you're interested in knowing about God. 'Course those that are dead in sin and trespasses, they might be preachers, but that doesn't mean anything. Those Pharisees were priests too, teachers: dead.
My mother, an old southern woman, used to have an expression, "You can't get blood out of a turnip." It has no blood. So how can you teach supernatural things to people who have no conception of supernatural? That's our nation as a people. Oh, we're so suspicious.

Elle s’est dit: «Si c’est vrai, alors je vais soutenir cela.» Elle a donc chargé–elle a donc chargé ses chameaux d’or et d’encens, des aromates, et peut-être les meilleurs qu’elle avait dans son royaume. Mais nous, nous plaçons Dieu en deuxième position, troisième position, même à la dernière position. Mais elle plaçait Dieu en première position, et pourtant, une païenne, une païenne. Alors, elle a chargé les chameaux.
| E-28 Now, notice what taken place. And as the little queen heard, it roused her curiosity, and she said, "I'll go and see for myself. I'd like to visit that campaign. Now, look what that little woman had to confront. The first place, she was a woman. And she had a long journey. And the desert was full of robbers. Not only that, but she took something with her. She said, "If it is true, then I'm going to support it." So she ladened--so she ladened her camels with gold and frankincense and spices, perhaps the best she had in her kingdom. But to us, we take God at second place, third place, even last place. But she was putting God first place, and now a heathen, pagan. And she ladened the camels.

E-29 Maintenant, écoutez. Elle avait au moins trois mois de voyage devant elle: Trois mois, non pas à bord d’un train climatisé, ni à bord d’une grande Cadillac, mais elle devait voyager à dos d’un chameau. Certaines personnes ne veulent pas traverser la rue. D’autres n’ont rien du tout à faire avec cela; vous ne pouvez pas aller les prendre à bord d’une Cadillac et les conduire à un pâté de maisons. Oh! Ils ne veulent rien avoir à faire avec cela; non, non. «Mon église n’a rien à faire avec ce genre d’histoires; ôtez ça.» Sans même la–l’intelligence, sans assez d’esprit pour même venir voir de leurs propres yeux. Et s’il leur arrivait de s’asseoir une minute, ils critiqueraient tout ce qui se faisait. Mais Dieu évoluera malgré tout, car Il doit le faire dans le but de susciter et condamner la personne lors de... là... lors de la résurrection. Sondez les Ecritures et voyez si ça n’a pas toujours été le plan de Dieu.
| E-29 Now, look, she had at least three months journey before her: three months, not in a air-conditioned train, neither in a great Cadillac, but she had to ride on the back of a camel. Some people won't come across the street. Some has nothing to do with it at all; you couldn't go pick them up in a Cadillac and drive them a city block. Oh, they want nothing to do with it, no, sir. "My church has nothing to do with that kind of stuff, get it away." Not even got the--the intelligence and not enough spirit to even come and see for themself. And if they would set down a minute, they'd criticize everything was done. But God will move just the same, because He's got to do that in order to rise and condemn that person in that there--in the resurrection. Search the Scriptures and see if that ain't God's plan always.

E-30 Oh! Si cela apparaissait avec éclats, si cela vient en grande pompe, une grande gloire alors que cela... Non pas que je les méprise, mais de grands évangélistes bien connus, ou de fameux grands docteurs en divinité, oh! ils aimeraient être présents là où le maire de la ville peut venir.
C’est ce qu’on pensait quand Jésus naquit à Bethléhem. Ils n’ont point chanté Hosanna à la naissance du Roi, mais les anges ont chanté cela, pas les rois et les potentats, mais les bergers sur les flancs des collines. Il ne naquit pas dans une chambre d’hôpital décorée avec de tissus en rose qui pendent. Il naquit dans une mangeoire puant. Comment pouvaient-ils jamais aller écouter un tel Homme, peu importe ce qu’Il faisait? Voyez-vous ce que l’orgueil et l’égoïsme font? Cela vous empêche d’entrer dans le Royaume de Dieu. Je me demande parfois, alors que nous méditons, ce qui arrivera à cette génération.
| E-30 Oh, if it'd come with flowers, if it come in high pomp, great glory where it... Not no disregards, but some great well known evangelist, or some great famous doctor of divinity. Oh, they'd like to be represented, where the mayor of the city would come out.
The same thing was thought when Jesus was borned in Bethlehem. They never sang hosannas when the King was born, but the Angels sung it, not the kings and potentates, but the shepherds on the hillsides. He wasn't borned in a fine decorated hospital room with pink dressings hanging down. He was borned in a stinking manger. How could they ever go to hear a Man like that, no matter what He done. You see what pride and selfishness does? It shuts you out from the Kingdom of God. I wonder sometime, as we think, what will happen to this generation.

E-31 Ainsi, comme la reine, elle a chargé ses chameaux, elle a pris toutes ces choses. Et là dans le désert, que pouvait-elle affronter, une petite femme avec un petit groupe d’hommes qui l’accompagnaient? Eh bien, les fils d’Ismaël étaient là, des voleurs dans le désert. Et elle était chargée d’or. Elle devait y penser. Mais puisque son coeur avait faim de découvrir si ce don était réel ou pas, Dieu fraya une voie pour elle.
Et Dieu frayera une voie pour chaque homme ou chaque femme qui a faim et soif de la justice. C’est Dieu qui fraye une voie. N’ayez pas peur que quelque chose arrive; cela n’arrivera pas. Allez de toute façon. Soyez déterminé à vous hâter pour voir le Royaume de Dieu.
| E-31 Then as the queen, she ladened her camels; she took all these things. And on the desert, what would she confront? A little woman with a little bunch of men marching along with her. Why, the sons of Ishmael was out there, the robbers of the desert. And she was ladened with gold. She had to think about that. But if in her heart she was hungering to find out whether that gift was real or not, God made a way for her.
And God will make a way for every man or woman who's hungering and thirsting for righteousness sake. God makes a way. Don't be a scared that something's going to happen; it won't happen. Go anyhow. Be determined to press in to see the Kingdom of God.

She unladened the camels, and set up her tents, and was going to stay till she was convinced. We'll set about five minutes and draws our conception and, [Brother Branham claps his hands once--Ed.] gone. The devil will set on your shoulder and say, "Ah, that's not right."
You say, "That's right Mr. Devil, you're my... I--I love you, sure, let's get out of here." Then what are you going to do when you stand by that queen in the judgment?

Ainsi, après qu’elle eut fait décharger et qu’elle fut assise... C’est la bonne manière de s’y prendre: Se décharger, puis s’asseoir. Déchargez-vous de vos sus-vos suspicions, toutes vos superstitions, toute votre incrédulité, asseyez-vous et observez le Royaume... pour le Royaume de Dieu.

Then when she unloaded her camels and she took her mistresses and the little servant girls, and she gathered in the courtroom where the revival was being held, and she watched with an open heart: not just Miss little woman down in the alley, not the little wash woman on the corner, but a queen. Then we think we're somebody, too good to go to a meeting. Oh, our social standing... I want mine to be in heaven.
So when she unloaded and set down... That's a good way to do: unload and set down. Unload your sus--your suspicions, all your superstition, all your unbelief, and set down, and watch the Kingdom--for the Kingdom of God.

E-34 Et aussitôt qu’elle s’était assise, Salomon est sorti, elle a alors observé jusqu’au moment où le Saint-Esprit a commencé à agir sur Salomon. Et elle a vu ce grand discernement. Je peux bien la voir donner un coup de poing à la petite servante assise à côté d’elle et dire: «Regarde ça. As-tu déjà vu pareille chose dans notre église? Ça doit venir de leur Dieu.» Et peu après, un autre cas fut présenté, et Salomon, par l’Esprit de discernement, discerna parfaitement cela. Et dès qu’elle fut convaincue, elle alla vers Salomon et dit: «Tout ce que j’avais entendu est vrai, et c’est plus que ce que j’avais entendu.»
| E-34 And as she sit and Solomon came out, then she watched until the time that the Holy Spirit begin to move on Solomon. And she saw that great discernment. I can just see her punch the little maid setting by her, saying, "Look at that. Did ever you see such in our church? It must come from their God." And after while another case come up, and Solomon with the Spirit of discernment, it discerned it perfectly. And when she was convinced, she went to Solomon and she said, "All that I have heard is true and more than I have ever heard is true."

E-35 Qu’en est-il de nous? Qu’a dit Jésus? «Elle se lèvera au Jugement et condamnera cette génération religieuse.» Si elle a fait cela à son époque, et si c’est ce qu’ils étaient à l’époque, le monde a tâtonné dans le péché pendant deux mille ans, qu’en sera-t-il aujourd’hui? Quand Hébreux 11 dit–dit: «Nous aussi, puisque nous sommes environnés d’une si grande nuée de témoins, rejetons tout fardeau et le péché qui nous enveloppe si facilement, et courons avec persévérance dans la carrière qui nous est ouverte», Hébreux, chapitre 12; au 11, on parle de grands témoins qui ont été présentés, le surnaturel a été accompli. Et Paul dit: «Puisque nous sommes environnés d’une si grande nuée de témoins, rejetons tout fardeau et le péché qui nous enveloppe si facilement.» C’est quoi le péché? L’incrédulité. Rejetons chaque péché, chaque fardeau, tout ce qui est contraire, et courons avec persévérance dans la carrière qui nous est ouverte.
| E-35 What about us? What did Jesus say? "She'll rise in the judgment and will condemn this religious generation." If she did it in his day, and if they were that way in that day, the world's groped two thousand years in sin since then, what will it be in this day? When Hebrews 11 said--said, "Seeing that we're compassed about with such a great cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight and the sin that does so easily beset us," Hebrews the 12th chapter, speaking of the 11th where the great witnesses was done, the supernatural was performed. And Paul saying, "Seeing that we're compassed with that type of witnesses, let's lay aside every sin." What is sin? Unbelief. Let us lay aside every sin, every weight, everything that's contrary, and run with patience the race that's set before us.

E-36 Dans cette dernière génération, celle-ci peut l’être, et je crois qu’elle l’est. Et si Jésus a dit dans Sa génération, avec toute Sa puissance, et Il n’était en rien moins que Jéhovah fait chair... Car en Lui habitait corporellement la plénitude de la Divinité, et Dieu était en Christ, réconciliant le monde avec Lui-même. Et pourtant, Lui qui vivait avant que le Saint-Esprit vienne, a dit: «Cela vous sera pardonné.» (Le rejeter, le Don de Dieu envoyé pour accomplir les miracles qu’Il accomplissait, discernant leurs pensées); Il a dit: «Cela leur sera pardonné, mais quand le Saint-Esprit sera venu, juste un seul mot contre Cela ne sera jamais pardonné ni dans ce siècle ni dans le siècle à venir.»
Ô Amérique, Amérique, tu dis: «Je suis riche, j’ai les meilleures églises au monde, et les plus grands missionnaires, les mieux nourris et les mieux habillés.» Peu sais-tu que tu es nue, misérable, aveugle, pauvre, et malheureuse, et tu ne le sais pas. Rappelle-toi, c’est maintenant ton jour; demain peut être trop tard. C’est la Parole du Seigneur. Pensez-y alors que nous prions.
| E-36 In that last generation, and this may be it, and I believe that it is. And if Jesus said in His generation, with all of His power, and nothing less than Jehovah God made flesh... For in Him dwelt the Fullness of the Godhead bodily, and God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself. And yet Him living before the Holy Spirit came, said, "There is forgiveness for you" (to reject Him, the Gift of God sent to do the miracles that He did, discerning their thoughts); He said, "That will be forgiven: but when the Holy Spirit is come, just one word against It will never be forgiven in this world or in the world to come."
Oh, America, America, how you say, "I'm rich, and have the best churches in the world, and the greatest missionaries, and the best fed, and the best dressed." How little you know that you're naked, miserable, blind, poor, and wretched, and don't know it. Remember, your day is now; tomorrow may be too late. It's the Word of the Lord. Think of it while we pray.

E-37 Ô Seigneur béni, il est écrit et Tu as dit que l’Ecriture ne peut être anéantie, que si le juste se sauve avec peine, que deviendront le pécheur et l’impie? Et nous savons maintenant, avec les spoutniks dans les cieux, et une nation païenne, que Dieu a suscitée pour nous faire subir le jugement, que nous pouvons être condamnés avant le matin... Ça ne nous alarme pas, Seigneur, Tu as dit qu’il en serait ainsi. Nous sommes tout heureux de savoir que nous vivons en ce jour où nous voyons cela. Juge-nous maintenant, Seigneur, et accorde-nous la miséricorde pendant que la miséricorde coule encore librement. Et pardonne-nous notre incrédulité. Et accorde-nous une grâce qui pardonne, au Nom de Ton Fils.
| E-37 O blessed Lord, it is written and You have said that the Scriptures cannot be broken, that if the righteous be scarcely saved, where will the sinner and the ungodly appear? And knowing now, with sputniks in the skies, and a heathen nation, that God has raised up to bring judgment to us, that we could be doomed before morning... And in all the signposts pointing at the end time, and Your blessed Spirit coming into our midst and doing the very thing that You said that would take place, and America gropes in her sin of rock-and-roll and all these other things, unconcerned, eating, drinking, marrying, given in marriage, building, doing sin, "lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God, having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof."
We're not alarmed, Lord, You said it would be this way. We're just happy to know that we're living in this day to see it. Judge us now, Lord, and give us mercy while the mercy is still flowing free. And forgive us of our unbelief. And grant unto us pardoning grace, in the Name of Thy Son.

Savez-vous ce que vous avez fait en levant la main? Vous dites: «Frère Branham, qu’est-ce que–qu’est-ce que cela leur a fait?» Eh bien, cela a représenté la différence entre la vie et la mort. Savez-vous que vous avez défié les lois de la gravitation en faisant cela? La gravitation maintient votre main vers le bas. Et il n’y a aucun moyen pour votre main d’être levée. Mais il y a en vous un esprit qui a pris une décision, qui a reconnu que vous étiez en erreur et que vous avez besoin de Christ. Et vous avez défié ces lois de la gravitation et vous avez levé la main vers le Ciel d’où votre Sauveur regarde vers vous. Il a inscrit votre nom dans Son Livre, si réellement vous étiez sincère.
| E-38 And with our heads bowed and the music softly playing, I wonder tonight, that in this little audience that's went through the snow... You say, "Brother Branham, you're very rude minister." It's better to tell you the truth, brother, then to pat you on the shoulder, knowing you're wrong. Would you say this? "God, I want to be right. I want to be a real believer. Help Thou my unbelief." Would you raise your hand to Him? Every head bowed, just raise your hand. God bless you. My, just dozens of hands in this little crowd. That's honest confession.
You know what you done when you raised your hand? You say, "Brother Branham, what--what did that do to them?" Well, it meant the difference between death and life. Do you know you defied the laws of gravitation when you did that? Gravitation holds your hand down. And there's no way for your hand to be lifted up. But there's a spirit in you that made a decision, that recognized that you were wrong and you need Christ. And you defied those laws of gravitation and raised your hand towards heaven where your Saviour looks at you. He put your name on His book, if you really meant it.

Accorde que la paix repose dans leur coeur. Et toutes les montagnes qui sont devant eux, puissent-elles s’écrouler ce soir même sous cette foi qui vient de leur faire lever les mains pour recevoir. S’ils sont malades, que cette montagne s’écroule. S’ils ont une montagne d’incrédulité, qu’elle s’écroule. Que chaque obstacle qui se tient entre eux et la bonne santé s’écroule et qu’ils servent le Dieu vivant. Car nous le demandons au Nom de Jésus-Christ, alors que je Te les présente, Père; ils sont les trophées de ce Message, et ils sont les dons d’amour que Dieu a donnés à Son Fils. Et nul ne peut les arracher de Sa main. Ils ont la Vie Eternelle et ils ne viendront point en Jugement. Nous Te remercions, au Nom de Christ. Amen.
| E-39 Now, Father God, grant pardoning to each one; forgive their sins. O God, hear my prayer: all their unbeliefs, may it be under the Blood, and may they be dressed just now in the righteousness of Christ. And we would pray that You would come to us and manifest Yourself to these new babies, that they might know that their faith is not in vain. The Jesus that walked the Sea of Galilee, Who discerned the spirit of the Jew who came by the name of Nathanael, told him who he was and where he'd come from, Who said to the old fisherman, Peter, who he was and who his daddy was, Who told the woman at the well her wrong, Who perceived their thoughts, and promised "that the things that I do shall you also." And He said, "I do nothing till My Father shows Me first, then that I do." Seeing this last day, Lord, that He promised these things, the--the written Scriptures which cannot be broken...
Grant that peace will rest in their heart. And all the mountains that's before them, may they crumble this very night with that faith that they have just raised their hands to receive. If they are sick, may that mountain crumble. If they have had a mountain of unbelief, may it crumble. May every obstacle crumble that stands between them and good health and serving the living God. For we ask it in Jesus Christ's Name, as I present them to Thee, Father; they are the trophies of this message, and they are love gifts that God has given to His Son. And no man can pluck them out of His hand. They have Eternal Life and shall never come to the judgment. We thank Thee, in Christ's Name. Amen.

| E-40 Do you feel real good? Don't you just love to enjoy the Presence of the Holy Spirit? It just does something to you. Now, it is prayer time now. Now, each of you people that raised your hand, just accept Him in what He promised. Now, watch. If He has raised from the dead, He's here. He promised "Wherever two or more would gather in My Name, I'll be in their midst." He said, "The works that I do shall you also. A little while and the unbelievers will never see Me again." They'll go on, Beelzebub and so forth. It's nothing to it. "But ye shall see Me, for I will be with you, even in you, to the end of the world." Here He is at the end of the Gentile age, doing the same thing that He did.

Could He forgive you of your sins? No, sir. He has already done it. It's your faith in His finished work at Calvary; that's what does it. Now, faith cometh by hearing, hearing of the Word.

Et Salomon, étant un don de Dieu qui a manifesté le surnaturel, la petite reine a parcouru plus que les tempêtes de neige pour arriver à entendre ce que le Seigneur avait fait en Israël, elle une païenne, une idolâtre. Combien plus pouvons-nous accepter cela ce soir en tant que Ses enfants, ayant parcouru une tempête de neige pour venir Le voir. J’attends avec autant d’impatience que vous, avec autant d’impatience. Mon coeur éprouve une grande joie chaque soir quand je Le vois entrer en scène, Lui l’Omnipotent, l’Omniprésent, le très Majestueux Dieu du Ciel, descendre.
| E-42 Now, as God spoke to us tonight through His Word... And Solomon, being a gift of God that manifested the supernatural, the little queen pressed through more than snowstorms to get to hear what the Lord had done in Israel, being a heathen, pagan. How much more can we accept it tonight as His children, pressed through a snowstorm to come and see Him. I'm just as anxiously waiting as you are, just as anxiously. It's a great thrill to my heart each night when I see Him come on the scene, the omnipotent, the omnipresent, the great majestic God of heaven, move down.

E-43 Et si ceci était mon dernier sermon, ma parole a été la vérité, car c’était la Parole de Dieu. J’ai eu un contact direct, indirect, avec plus de dix millions de gens, je pense. Et, à travers le monde, ça a été mis à l’épreuve: par des sorciers et tout le reste. Et nul ne s’est jamais levé contre cela sans que Dieu ne l’ait rabattu. C’est vrai. Car il n’y a pas de quoi s’inquiéter. Si Dieu a promis, Dieu doit tenir Sa Parole.
Le monde scientifique le sait. Ils ont là derrière une photo qui était prise de Cela. En Allemagne et en Suisse, en Amérique, à deux ou trois reprises; C’est accroché à Washington, D.C., avec une annotation en bas comme suit: «L’unique Etre surnaturel qui ait jamais été scientifiquement photographié.» La photo de Cela est là derrière. Cela est protégé par le droit d’auteur à Washington, Celle qui est accrochée au musée religieux, des objets d’art religieux.
| E-43 And if this shall be my last sermon, my word has been truth because it's been God's Word. I've been in contact directly, indirect, with over ten million people, I suppose. And around the world it's been put to the test: witch doctors and everything else. And not one has ever rose against it but what God took down. True. For there's no worry. If God promised it, God has to keep His Word.
The scientific world knows it. They got a picture back there that was taken of it. At Germany and Switzerland, in America, two or three times, hanging in Washington D. C. with a word under it like this, "The only supernatural Being that was ever scientifically photographed." The picture of It's back there. The copyright's in Washington, one hanging in the religious hall, of religious art.

E-44 Maintenant, Il est ici. Tout se manifeste, chaque esprit se manifeste. Si je vous disais que l’esprit de John Dillinger était en moi, ce hors-la-loi, je serais dangereux pour me tenir à l’estrade devant vous, car j’aurais des pistolets et je serais–je serais un voleur si son esprit était en moi. Et si j’avais l’esprit d’un artiste, je pourrais vous peindre un tableau comme un artiste. Si je dis: «L’Esprit de Christ est en moi», alors je dois accomplir les oeuvres de Christ.
Jésus a dit: «C’est le Père qui M’a envoyé, et si Je n’accomplis pas les oeuvres de Dieu, alors ne Me croyez pas. Mais si Je fais les oeuvres, et que vous ne Me croyez pas, croyez aux oeuvres afin que vous soyez sauvés.» Combien c’est simple. Si votre objectif est juste, votre motif est juste, sincèrement, videz-vous, abandonnez-vous au Saint-Esprit et observez ce qu’Il fera pour vous.
| E-44 Now, He's here. Everything manifests itself, every spirit manifests. If I told you the spirit of John Dillinger was in me, that outlaw, I'd be dangerous to stand on the platform before you, because I'd have guns and I'd be a robber if his spirit's in me. If I had the spirit of an artist, I could paint the picture for you like the artist. If I say, "The Spirit of Christ is in me," then I must do the works of Christ.
Jesus said, "The Father has sent Me, and if I do not the works of God, then believe Me not. But if I do the works, and you can't believe Me, believe the works that you might be saved." How plain. Your objective right, your motive right, sincerely, dumped out of self, and yield yourself to the Holy Spirit and watch what He will do for you.

Permettez-moi de vous poser une question. Daniel le prophète a eu une seule vision et il eut la tête troublée pendant plusieurs jours. Combien le savent? Certainement. Tout lecteur de la Bible le sait; une seule vision.
Et les gens qui ont–ont une nature spirituelle sont toujours considérés comme des névrosés. Considérez les poètes, les prophètes, et que sais-je encore. Considérez Stephen Foster, qui a donné à l’Amérique les meilleures chansons populaires. Qui était-il? Un névrosé. Chaque fois que l’inspiration le frappait, quand il redescendait, il ne savait pas où il avait été; il s’enivrait; il a fini par faire venir un serviteur, il a pris une lame de rasoir et il s’est suicidé. Considérez William Cowper, le compositeur de ce fameux cantique:
Il y a une Fontaine remplie de Sang,
Tiré des veines d’Emmanuel,
Une fois les pécheurs plongés dans ce flot,
Ils perdent toutes les taches de leur culpabilité...
Lorsque je suis allé prier pour le roi George, je me suis tenu là au cimetière à côté de la tombe de William Cowper, j’ai pleuré, car je sais ce que l’homme... Après être sorti de cette inspiration (Vous connaissez l’histoire), il a cherché à se suicider en se jetant dans la rivière. L’inspiration l’avait quitté.
Considérez Jonas le prophète, il était couché dans le ventre d’un grand poisson pendant trois jours et trois nuits et il fut vomi, et il apporta son Message de façon considérable; et quand l’Esprit le quitta, il s’assit sur une colline et pria Dieu de le tuer.
Considérez Elie, après qu’il ait eu la vision, faire descendre le feu du ciel et faire tomber la pluie du ciel le même jour. Quand l’Esprit le quitta, il erra dans le désert pendant quarante jours et quarante nuits, et Dieu le trouva en retrait dans une caverne.

Let me ask you something. Daniel the prophet had one vision and was troubled at his head for many days. How many knows that? Sure. Any Bible reader knows it, one vision.
And people who are--are spiritually inclined are considered neurotics always. Look at poets, prophets, and whatmore. Look at Stephen Foster, who gave America's best folk songs. What was he? A neurotic. Every time he'd hit inspiration, when he'd drop down, he didn't know where he was at; he'd get on a drunk, finally called a servant and took a razor and committed suicide. Look at William Cowper, who wrote that famous song, "There is a fountain filled with blood, drawn from Immanuel's veins, when sinners plunged beneath the flood, lose all their guilty stains... When I was over to pray for the late King George, standing there in the graveyard by the side of his grave, William Cowper, I wept because I know what the man... After he come out from under that inspiration (You know the story), he tried to commit suicide by drowning in the river. The inspiration left him.
Look at Jonah the prophet, laid in the belly of a whale for three days and nights and was delivered out, and brought his message in such a way, and when the Spirit left him, he set on a hill and prayed for God to kill him.
Look at Elijah, after seeing the vision how to call fire out of heaven, and rain out of heaven at the same day, when the Spirit left him, he wandered in the wilderness forty days and nights, and God found him plumb back in a cave.

Ils ont reconnu cela, parce qu’Il a fait cela de la même manière qu’Il l’avait fait avant qu’Il fût crucifié.
Maintenant, je prie qu’Il vienne ce soir et qu’Il fasse la même chose qu’Il avait faite avant qu’Il fût crucifié, afin que vous sachiez qu’Il est ressuscité des morts.

They are so taught in dry doctrine and church theology till they know nothing about the Spirit. That's right. They don't understand it. Oh, that God would open eyes.
When Jesus walked with the disciples all day long, they didn't know Who He was. And maybe He's walked with you and kept you out of many things, and you haven't recognized it. But when He got them in the room that night, He done something the way He used to do it before His crucifixion. And they recognized it was Him, because no other man on earth did it like that. Is that true? They recognized it, because He did it the same way He did before He was crucified. Now, I pray that He will come tonight and do the same thing that He did before He was crucified, that you might know that He has risen from the dead.

Et cela passe par-dessus la tête des gens et ils ne reconnaissent pas cela. C’est le côté triste.

She might be a critic. If she is, watch what happens. Watch what takes place. How many's been in the meetings and seen critics come to the platform? They're laying in the insane institution paralyzed and everything else. We're not playing church. It's church. Them days of that old cut and dried theologies and so forth is passed away. Christ is here giving His last message to the Gentiles as He promised. And it's going by the heads of the people, and they do not recognize it. That's the sad part.

Il a dit: «Je Le suis, Moi qui te parle.»
Elle est entrée dans la ville en courant. Et écoutez son message: «Venez voir un Homme qui m’a dit ce que j’ai fait; ne serait-ce point le Messie?»

And when He done it to the Samaritan, what did the woman say? She's... When He told her, her--what was wrong with her, she said, "Sir, I perceive that You're a prophet. We know when the Messiah cometh, He will tell us these things.
He said, "I am He that speaks."
She run into the city, and listen at her message, "Come, see a Man, that told me the things that I've done: isn't this the Messiah?"

Ainsi, Il a réservé cela pour le dernier jour, à la fin de cette dispensation. Et Le voici. Il a interdit à Ses disciples d’aller chez les Gentils pendant qu’Il était sur terre. Mais maintenant, Il apparaît aux Gentils.
Ne soyez donc pas découragé. Accrochez-vous un peu pendant une semaine et écoutez la Parole. Voyez ce que dit la Parole, alors comparez cela. Si ce n’est pas la Bible, ce n’est pas la vérité. Si c’est la Bible, c’est la Vérité.
| E-52 Now, He never went to the Gentiles. Listen, He never healed anybody in Samaria, how many knows that? He didn't. Why? He knowed that Philip was coming down to preach that big revival. And He never went to the Gentiles, because the Gentiles has more or less been a wild tree anyhow in the sight of God. So He's left that to the last day at the closing of this dispensation. And here He is. He forbid His disciples to go to the Gentiles while He was on earth. But now He's appearing to the Gentiles.
Just don't be discouraged. Stick around just a little bit for the week and listen at the Word. See what the Word says, then compare it. If it's not Bible, it's not truth. If it is the Bible, it is the truth.

La femme... Le soldat... La femme qui a touché le bord du vêtement de Jésus, elle a reçu la guérison. Le soldat qui a placé un chiffon autour de Sa tête et a dit: «Eprouvons ce don et voyons s’il est vrai», et il a pris un bâton et il a frappé Jésus à la tête et a dit: «Si Tu es Prophète, dis-nous qui T’a frappé et nous Te croirons.» Dieu ne fait pas le clown pour qui que ce soit. Il n’avait point ouvert la bouche et Il n’a point prononcé une parole. Il l’a simplement laissé tranquille. Et il est dans le tourment ce soir, sans doute, et il ne sera jamais délivré. La femme est dans la Gloire ce soir, en train de se réjouir des bénédictions de Dieu pour toujours. Cela dépend donc de l’attitude que vous affichez. Vous ne réalisez pas le jour dans lequel nous vivons.
| E-53 Now, if the--this woman and I, who never have seen each other in our lives... If the Holy Spirit will reveal what the woman's there for, you know it'll have to be supernatural then. If you believe it's a devil, you will receive a devil's reward. If you believe it's God, you'll receive God's reward. It's the way you approach a gift.
The woman... The soldier... The woman that touched the hem of Jesus' garment, she received healing. The soldier that put a rag around His head and said, "Let's try out this gift and see if it's right," and he got a stick and hit Jesus on the head, said, "If you're a prophet, tell us who hit you and we'll believe you." God don't clown for nobody. He never opened His mouth and said a word. He just let him alone. And he's in torment tonight, no doubt, and will never be delivered. The woman's in glory tonight enjoying the blessings of God forever. Just depends on what attitude you take. You don't realize the day we're living.

Quand Il est allé ressusciter la fille de Jaïrus, Il a mis tout le monde hors de la maison. Voyez, chaque personne est un esprit, et si l’esprit ne croit pas, il constitue un obstacle. Il est allé dans sa propre ville, et Il n’a pas pu accomplir beaucoup de miracles à cause de leur incrédulité. Voyez? Mais là où il y avait la foi, Dieu agissait. Là où il n’y avait pas de foi, Dieu se retirait.
| E-55 Now, just be real reverent. Don't move for just a few minutes. Set still. Don't get nervous; just relax. Just--just relax and submit yourself to the Holy Spirit; watch what He will do.
All right, lady, you may stand right there. This is a picture like was in the Bible: a man and a woman again. As I said last night, it was a woman the first one. I have no idea who's coming up here. The boy takes these cards and mixes them up and gives them out to you. Now, anybody that wants them can have them. And here you come; that's all.
Those out there don't have any cards. But what do I have these for? So that I can single you out. See, Jesus when He went to heal a man one time, He took him away from the crowd. When He went to raise Jairus' daughter, He put all the people out of the house. See, each person is a spirit, and if the spirit is unbelief, it hinders. He went to His own city, and many mighty miracles He could not do because of their unbelief. See? But where there was faith, God moved. Where there was no faith, God moved out.

Il a parlé à la femme pendant un temps, engager suffisamment une conversation pour saisir son esprit. Il a découvert où était son problème et Il lui a dit son problème. Et aussitôt qu’Il lui a dit son problème, elle a reconnu que c’était le Messie. Elle a dit: «Nous savons que c’est ce que fera le Messie. Mais Tu dois être un Prophète.»
Il a dit: «Je suis le Messie.»
Et elle a dit: «C’est le signe qui devait L’accompagner.»

The Bible said, that He had need go by there. His was on His road to Jericho, down the mountain. But He went around Samaria. When He got there, He set down, sent the disciples away to see what the Father would have Him do, 'cause He said, "I do nothing till He shows Me." A woman come out. He talked with the woman awhile, enough to get a conversation to catch her spirit. He found where her trouble was and told her, her trouble. And as soon as He told her, her trouble, she recognized that that was the Messiah. She said, "We know the Messiah will do that. But You must be a prophet.
He said, "I'm the Messiah."
And she said, "That's the sign was to follow Him."

Maintenant, je vois Cela entrer, et c’est dans une–une chambre, quelque chose comme une chambre d’hôpital. Et alors, elle est souffrante, elle a subi une intervention chirurgicale. Et cette intervention a été effectuée à cause d’un–d’un esprit noir hideux appelé le cancer. Et le cancer... Elle s’est fait amputer un sein. Merciful God, of this poor dear woman standing here, I'm thinking my own little mother tonight, maybe on her knees praying for me. And this may be somebody's mother. I pray that You'll help her, Lord, as I lay hands upon her. Thou hast said this, "If they lay hands on the sick, they shall recover." I've been in that city; it's Washington, Bellingham, Washington near the Puget Sound; THUS SAITH THE LORD. You believe? Then go and receive; as you have believed, so will it be to you. Et frère Bosworth, dont le corps git dans l’Etat ce soir, se tenait là, un homme honnête; on a enregistré là vingt-cinq mille cas de guérisons après une seule prière. Le jour suivant, on a eu sept gros camions chargés de béquilles, de brancards, de morceaux de bois et autres, dont se servaient les gens pour marcher. Cela avait été ramassé sur le champ de foire, où cent cinquante mille personnes étaient assises: sept gros camions, de gros camions à bétail, juste pour avoir vu la Présence de Dieu, et ils ont cru cela de tout leur coeur, ils se sont levés et ils sont partis, guéris.
Mais nous sommes si remplis de superstitions. Docteur Jones a dit: «C’est l’hypnotisme.» Le docteur Sobody dit: «Eh bien, ce n’est pas fiable.» Et vous avez été tellement endoctrinés de toutes sortes de théologies qu’il est difficile pour le Saint-Esprit d’agir. Débarrassons-nous de cette histoire ce soir. Croyons en Dieu. Et levez-vous juste une minute.

How I've often wondered, the biggest mystery that I've ever seen... In Durban, South Africa, when something like that taken place, thirty thousand raw heathens came to Christ at one time. I made one prayer. And Brother Bosworth, who's body is laying in state tonight, stood there, a honest man, where they took twenty-five thousand records of healings in one prayer. The next day they had seven truck loads of crutches, stretchers, clubs, and things that the people walked on, that they picked up on the fairground, where a hundred and fifty thousand people were setting: seven truck loads, big cattle trucks, just because they seen the Presence of God, and they believed it with all their heart and got right up and went away healed.
But we're so full of superstitions. Doctor Jones said, "It's hypnotism." Doctor Sobody, says, "Well, it can't be trusted." And you been so indocumated by all kinds of theologies until it's hard for the Holy Spirit to move in. Let's throw that thing away tonight. Let's believe God. And stand up on your feet just a minute.
I want to ask you a sincere question, "What more could the Holy Spirit do?" Christ come and died. Christ paid the price. Christ returned back into His branches to prove His work of His resurrection. He's here with His promise through the Bible, with His Spirit desi--saying that's He's here. He... Only thing is left is for you to believe it, and accept it, and act on it. Is that right? Then let us pray.

E-71 Seigneur Dieu, Créateur des cieux et de la terre, Auteur de la Vie Eternelle, et Donateur de tout don excellent et parfait, envoie Ton Esprit de puissance sur cette assistance et infiltre-Toi par ici jusqu’à ce que Tu trouves un coeur honnête, plein de foi; alors, guéris cette personne. Eternel Dieu, que l’Esprit entre dans leur corps et les vivifie pour une nouvelle foi qu’ils n’avaient jamais connue auparavant, sachant que Jésus-Christ, le Fils de Dieu, est ici, et l’Esprit qui les jugera au trône du Jugement de Christ, va... se tient ici maintenant dans notre présence. Eternal God, may the Spirit come into their body and quicken them to a new faith that they've never knowed before, knowing that Jesus Christ, God's Son, is here, and the Spirit that will judge them at the judgment seat of Christ, will--is standing here now in our Presence.
