Si je prêchais ici, alors ils ne me permettraient pas de prêcher là-bas.
Je–j’aimerais donc au moins tenir parole. Et j’avais donc promis de venir ici, c’est pourquoi je–je suis venu. Et je–je suis heureux d’être ici, et–et je prie Dieu de nous aider maintenant et de nous accorder deux excellentes soirées de réunions pendant que nous sommes ici.

I was here, but there was a little something that come up that they... something about their churches, that if I spoke over there, everybody... If I was going to speak here, then they wouldn't let me speak there.
So I--I want to be at least my word good. And so I promised to come here, so I--I come. And I--I'm happy to be here and--and pray that God will help us now and give us two nice nights of service while we're here.

E-2 Et je suis juste un peu fatigué. Nous revenons d’une série de réunions en Floride, et c’est... Je pense que c’est notre sixième semaine. Nous avons tenu des réunions sans interruption, c’est pourquoi je suis très fatigué. Nous avons parcouru, Billy et moi, je pense, onze cents miles [1770 km] en une nuit, à bord d’une vieille petite camionnette de marque Chevrolet. Alors nous... Nous avons effectué ce trajet dans environ vingt-trois heures. J’étais de deux côtés, juste...?... Et je... De toute façon, nous avons passé un–un bon moment à le faire. Nous sommes rentrés directement à la maison, et ensuite nous sommes venus directement ici.
Et hier soir, j’étais très fatigué. Nous sommes rentrés un peu tard. J’étais ici vers sept heures et quelques, et nous sommes venus à la réunion. Et j’ai alors appris que quelque chose avait mal tourné dans certaines dénominations et tout. Moi, je suis interdénominationnel [L’assemblée applaudit.–N.D.E.] Merci beaucoup. Je... Je le dis du fond de mon coeur. Je–je... Si nous sommes de l’église interdénominationnelle, nous devons le rester. C’est pour toutes les dénominations, peu importe ce qu’elles sont. On ne peut pas être interdénominationnel et n’être que pour telle ou telle église... C’est pour tout le monde.
| E-2 And I just a little tired. We just come out of a meeting down in Florida and that's... I think that's our sixth week. We just constantly been in services, so I'm really good and tired. [Blank.spot.on.tape--Ed.] I think, eleven hundred miles one night in a little old Chevrolet truck, Billy and I. So we... about twenty-three hours a doing it. I was on both sides, just...?... And I... We had a--a good time doing it though. We'd come right straight home and then right on up here.
And last night I was very tired. We got in a little late. I was here about seven something, and we come over to the meeting. And then I'd heard that there was something gone wrong about some denominations and so forth. I am interdenominational. [Congregation applauds--Ed.] Thank you, much. I... That's from my heart. I--I... If we're of interdenomination, we've got to be that. That's for all denominations, no matter what they are. We can't be interdenomination, just be to this certain church or this certain... It's for every one.

E-3 Et je crois dans la Paternité de Dieu et dans la fraternité des hommes. Et je–je crois que nous sommes tous des frères, et c’est ce que nous devrions être. Et Dieu a Ses enfants. Ils sont tous dans... Peut-être que certains d’entre eux sont un peu étranges selon notre croyance ou votre croyance, ou la mienne. Mais Dieu accepte Ses enfants, c’est pourquoi nous devons les accepter comme nos frères et soeurs, n’est-ce pas? C’est juste.
Et je... Pour cette petite... Cette église-ci, l’Eglise de Philadelphie... (Merci, Frère Boze.) Quand j’étais en Suède, de toute ma vie je ne pouvais connaître un meilleur traitement que celui qui m’a été réservé en Suède par les Suédois. Ils ont été très aimables et très gentils envers moi.
| E-3 And I believe in the Fatherhood of God and the brotherhood of man. And I--I think that we're brothers together, and that's the way we should be. And God has His children. They're all out... Maybe some of them little odd to our belief or your belief, or mine. But God's accepting His children, so we have to accept them as our brothers and sisters, don't we? That's right.
And I... To this little... This church here, the Philadelphian church... (Thank you, Brother Boze.) When I was in Sweden, I could not have been treated any nicer in my life than I was treated with the Swedish people in Sweden. They were very lovely and kind to me.

E-4 Et partout où j’ai été, j’ai toujours été très bien traité; chez tous les différents peuples. Ainsi, moi, je–je n’ai donc point de dénomination. Je–je dis que je suis dans la famille Branham voici maintenant plus de quarante ans, et ils ne m’ont jamais demandé d’adhérer à leur famille. Simplement, je–je suis tout simplement né un Branham. Et je pense qu’il en est de même des chrétiens, ne le pensez-vous pas? Juste... Nous sommes simplement–simplement nés des chrétiens. Eh bien, nous... Certains...
Bon, je n’ai rien contre les églises dénominationnelles. C’est... Elles sont ce qu’elles–ce qu’elles veulent croire, mais je ne pense pas que nous devrions briser la communion fraternelle. Amen. Je crois que nous devrions tous aimer le Seigneur et Le servir.
| E-4 And everywhere I've been, I've always been treated real nice; it's all of different people. So therefore, I--I don't have any denomination. I--I said I've been with the Branham family now over forty years, and they never asked me to join their family. I just--I was just borned a Branham. And I think that's the way with the Christians, don't you think so? Just... We're just--just borned Christians. Now, we... Some of them...
Now, I have nothing against the denominational churches. That's... They're up to what they, whatever they want to believe, but I don't think we should separate brotherhood. Amen. I think we should all love the Lord and serve Him.

E-5 Et je... Dans ma vie, c’est ce que j’ai essayé de créer autour de moi. Si je ne peux pas éprouver un sentiment d’amour de l’Esprit de Dieu autour de moi, alors il y a là quelque chose qui cloche. Je–je dois... Je ne veux pas être mêlé à quoi que ce soit, qui éloignera de moi ce tendre et doux sentiment. Voyez-vous? Je–j’aimerais que ce sentiment soit toujours là, car c’est par cela que j’aide le peuple de Dieu. Voyez-vous, c’est...
Et puis, je pense que vous avez déjà été avec des personnes dont vous pouviez à peine supporter la présence. Et–et peut-être qu’elles maudissent et font des histoires, eh bien, c’est–c’est juste–juste... Ça peut être des gens bien. Mais ils sont tout simplement oints de ce genre d’esprit. Voyez-vous? Et moi, je–j’aime le genre qui est amical, gentil, poli, des gens qui se comportent en frères, et qui sont aimables. Et j’aime plutôt cela. Je... C’est ce que je crois.
| E-5 And I... In my life, I've tried to be this around me. If I can't feel a loving feeling of the Spirit of God around me, then there's something wrong here. I--I've got to... I don't want to get mixed up in anything, so that lovely sweet feeling is gone from me. See? I--I want that to be there all the time because that's what I help God's people with. You see, it's...
And then you've been in the presence of people that you couldn't hardly stand to be in their presence, I guess. And--and maybe cursing and going on, well, that's--that's just--just... The people, may be all right. But they're just anointed with that type of spirit. You see? And I--I like the kind that's friendly, and nice, and quiet, and brotherly, and be loving. And I just kind of like that. I... That's my way of believing it.

E-6 J’étais simplement en train de réfléchir. C’est nous qui portons les fruits de Dieu. Et je crois que dans Jean, chapitre 17, Jésus a dit: «Vous êtes les sarments.» Et Lui, Il était le Cep. Or, le cep produit les fruits, mais ce sont les sarments qui portent les fruits. Ainsi, le... Si le sarment tire sa vie du cep, eh bien, c’est le même genre de vie qui est dans le cep. Ne le pensez-vous pas? Forcément.
Eh bien, nos mains, nos lèvres et nos yeux sont les mains, les lèvres et les yeux de Dieu, que nous avons ici, qu’Il a sur la terre. Eh bien, Il est retourné à Dieu et Il a envoyé l’énergie de Son Esprit pour nous oindre du Saint-Esprit. Et si donc nous Lui sommes soumis, alors nos mains représentent Ses mains. C’est pour cette raison qu’Il a dit: «Ils imposeront les mains aux malades, et les malades seront guéris.» Voyez-vous?
Et quand les apôtres avaient reçu le Saint-Esprit, ils imposaient les mains aux gens. Il se passait quelque chose. Simon le magicien a compris qu’il se passait quelque chose quand Pierre imposait les mains aux gens et que ces derniers recevaient le Saint-Esprit. Eh bien, il s’agit du don de Dieu. Eh bien, c’est glorieux.
| E-6 And I was just thinking. We are God's fruit bearers. And I believe in Saint John the 17th chapter, Jesus said, "Ye are the branches." And He was the Vine. Now, the Vine puts forth the fruit, but the branches has to bear the fruit. So, the... If the branch is getting its life out of the vine, well, it's the same kind of life that's in the vine. Don't you think so? It has to be.
Now, our hands, and our lips, and our eyes, them's God's hands, lips, and eyes, that we have here, He has on earth. Now, He's gone back to God and sends forth His energy of His Spirit to anoint us with the Holy Spirit. And then if we are submissive to Him, and then our hands represents His hands. That's the reason He said, "They shall lay hands on the sick. They shall recover." See?
And on receiving the Holy Spirit, the apostles laid their hands on. There was something happened. Simon the sorcerer realized that there was something taking place when Peter laid his hands on the people and they received the Holy Spirit. Now, it's God's gift. Now, it's something.

E-7 Maintenant, quiconque... Combien parmi vous, les mères... Quelle mère ici ne sait pas ce que c’est que l’imposition des mains? Quand un petit bébé s’agite, pleure et tout, que la main de cette mère touche tout simplement ce bébé, ça règle la question. Le petit commence–arrête de pleurer, il se blottit contre sa maman. Voyez-vous? C’est cela l’imposition de vos mains. C’est cela la mère; il s’agit d’un contact.
Combien parmi vous ici ont déjà eu affaire à un–un cheval qui était très nerveux et très turbulent? Qu’un homme qui aime les chevaux lui tapote simplement la patte [Frère Branham tapote le pupitre.–N.D.E.] et lui parle juste un instant, et le tapote, qu’il pose sa main sur lui, bien vite, le cheval se calme. Voyez-vous? C’est...
Et c’est pareil avec l’imposition des mains aux malades. Si Dieu nous oint pour que nous le fassions, nos mains représentent Ses mains. Les seules mains qu’Il possède, ce sont les nôtres. Et nous prions pour les malades.
| E-7 Now, anyone who ever... How many of you mothers... What mother here doesn't know what laying on of hands mean? When a little baby's fretting and crying and everything, let that mother's hand just touch that baby; that settles it. The little fellow starts--stops crying, huddles up to its mother. See? It's laying your hand. It's mother; it's a contact.
How many of you here ever had a--a horse that was real nervous and upset? Just let a man who likes horses just pat his leg, [Brother Branham pats the pulpit--Ed.] talk to him just a minute, pat him, lay his hand on him, first thing you know, the horse has quietened down. See? It's...
And so is it with laying hands on the sick. If we're anointed to do so from God, our hands represent God's hands. That's only hands He has, is ours. And we pray for the sick.

E-8 Eh bien, tout d’abord pour le médecin, il–il est... Bien des fois les médecins sont oints du Saint-Esprit, et ils prient pour leurs patients. Et des fois le médecin, dans le cadre de sa formation, il a étudié la science et les grandes oeuvres qui nous ont aidés de différentes manières, nos hôpitaux et tout. Et le médecin entre, et il a une–une lentille, un rayon X à l’aide duquel ils peuvent regarder et voir une–une grosseur et différentes choses qui clochent, des os fracturés.
Eh bien, maintenant, combien c’est contraire à ce qu’était la science autrefois! Les gens disaient qu’il n’existait point de lumière en dehors de la lumière du soleil. La Bible déclare que notre corps est plein de lumière. Eh bien, la radiographie prouve cela (Voyez-vous?), ce n’est pas... C’est de la lumière de notre corps qu’il s’agit, et cela produit une ombre, et ils voient cela avec les rayons X.
| E-8 Now, the first thing for the doctor, he--he is... Many times doctors are anointed with the Holy Spirit, and they pray for their patients. And sometimes the doctor in his line of education, and he studied science and great moves which has helped us in many ways, our hospitals and things. And the doctor, he goes in, and they have a--a glass, a X-ray they can look through and see a--a lumps and different things that's wrong, broken bones.
Well now, how contrary that is to what science used to be. They said there was no light except sunlight. The Bible said our whole body's full of light. Well, a X-ray proves that (See?), that is not... It's our body's light, and it throws a shadow, and how they see it with the X-ray.

E-9 Eh bien, si le médecin peut palper quelque chose qu’il peut inciser, quelque chose que l’un de ces cinq sens peut percevoir, eh bien, alors il peut... Je pense qu’aujourd’hui nous avons des médecins très brillants, de bons hôpitaux et de bons médicaments. Et nous sommes très reconnaissants au Dieu Tout-Puissant que nous les ayons. J’en suis reconnaissant. Et ils font tout ce qu’ils peuvent, mais parfois cela les dépasse. Parfois ils ne s’en sortent pas, alors nous avons un droit parfait. Si tous les facteurs humains ont échoué, nous avons toutefois le droit de nous approcher de Dieu et de Lui demander qu’Il nous aide. C’est juste. Et Il agit. Il a promis de le faire.
Or, le médecin ne prétend pas être un guérisseur. Il ne prétend guérir personne. Il déclare seulement assister la nature. C’est Dieu qui guérit. Eh bien, si vous vous facturiez le bras, le médecin pourrait uniquement remettre le bras en place, et le médecin ne peut pas guérir le bras. Voyez-vous? Le médecin ne fait que remettre l’os en place. Dieu... C’est la nature, comme on l’appelle, et c’est en fait Dieu, qui guérit l’os, si nous voulons examiner cela pour voir.
| E-9 Now, if the doctor can feel something that he can cut out, something that some of these five senses will contact, well, then he can... I think we got some pretty smart doctors today and some fine hospitals and fine drugs. And we're very thankful to Almighty God that we have them. I'm grateful. And they do all that they can, but sometimes it gets beyond them. Sometimes they can't do it, and then we're have a perfect right. If every human element has failed, we still have a right to come to God and ask God to help us. That's right. And He does it. He promised He would.
Now, the doctor does not claim to be a healer. He doesn't claim to heal anyone. He only claims that he assists nature. God is the Healer. Now, if you broke your arm, the doctor could set the arm, but the doctor can't heal the arm. See? The doctor only sets the bone. God what... Nature, which they call it, which is God, if we wanted to break it down, and see, heals the bone.

E-10 Le médecin pourrait arracher une dent cariée. Eh bien, maintenant, il ne guérit pas l’alvéole. Il ne fait que déplacer–arracher la dent. Il ôte l’appendice malade, mais c’est Dieu qui guérit. Et c’est Lui qui crée les cellules et tout, qui édifie la foi.
Eh bien, maintenant, ne serait-ce pas une chose merveilleuse, si notre... si le monde entier, bien entendu, mais si le monde entier pouvait travailler dans l’unité, la fraternité et l’harmonie avec Dieu. La médecine et–et toutes les différentes églises dénominationnelles, et–et toutes les races et les couleurs des gens, si seulement nous pouvions renverser cette chose et l’ôter de notre esprit et comprendre que nous sommes tous issus d’une seule personne... Oui. C’est juste. Alors, nous...
Et souvenez-vous, c’est possible qu’un certain frère soit tombé, mais n’empirez pas pour autant sa situation. Et, oh! et aidez-le à se relever, essayez de le ramener dans la fraternité, dans la fraternité de Dieu. C’est cela, mes amis chrétiens, ma vision de ce dont le monde a besoin aujourd’hui, c’est–c’est de retourner à Dieu. Eh bien, je fais de mon mieux, je–je... Et j’ai résolu de continuer à faire tout mon possible pour ramener l’homme à Dieu, et pour ramener la fraternité et les sentiments de Christ parmi les gens.
| E-10 The doctor might move a tooth that's bad. Well now, he doesn't heal the socket. He only moves--removes the tooth. He removes the bad appendix, but God does the healing. See, see? Medicine keeps clean while God builds tissue. God is the only Creator there is, isn't that right? And He creates the cells and so forth that builds the faith.
Well now, wouldn't it be nice if our, just if the whole world, of course, but if all of the world could work together as a brotherhood in harmony with God. Medical science and--and all different denomination of churches and--and all races and colors of people that if we can just break that thing down out of our mind and know that we all come from one person... Yes. That's right. Then we...
And remember, some brother maybe fallen, but don't make him any worse. And why, help him up, and try to get him back to the brotherhood again, the brotherhood of God. That, my Christian friends, has been my vision of what the world needs today, is--is back to God. Now, doing my very best, I--I... And I intended to keep on to do all that I know how to bring man back to God and bring a brotherhood and a feeling of Christ among the people.

Ou peut-être que parce que nous avons la puissance, peut-être, pour parler en langues, que c’est... C’est juste ça.
Mais si cette église de Philadelphie m’accepte tout simplement comme un serviteur de Dieu, et m’accorde...
| E-11 Now, being that I'm speaking to Pentecostal people, the greater group of you... My last meeting where I just left was sponsored by Baptist people in Florida. And so, we had services for all different denominations, all different people.
And so, there's many times that we have put emphasis too much on, I think, of one certain thing. We have put too much emphasis... If you'll excuse me 'cause just a group of us is here tonight and I feel very much at home in this pulpit. And I am very welcome and I know and I love you and that's why I say those things.
We have took too much... put too much emphasis on our emotions. We... Perhaps, maybe we feel that as long as we are shouting and praising the Lord, that's very fine. I--I think that's good. Or maybe because that we have power maybe to speak with other languages, that that's... That's just it.
But if this Philadelphian church will just receive me as God's servant, let me...

E-12 Aimeriez-vous savoir ce que je pense être le plus grand besoin de l’Eglise aujourd’hui? Aimeriez-vous... ce que je pense... Là où je pense qu’il y a une déficience? Il n’y a pas de travail de l’âme. Les gens ne sont pas assez brisés. Ils sont... A ce qu’il semble, il–il n’y a plus de fardeau. Et donnez-moi quelqu’un qui est tellement brisé à cause des âmes perdues qu’il pleure tout simplement et désire ardemment qu’il y ait un réveil, au point qu’il ne sait plus manger, qu’il ne sait tout simplement plus...
Si vous lisez l’histoire du monde et l’histoire de la religion, vous découvrirez qu’il a toujours fallu ce genre d’esprit pour apporter un réveil. C’est juste. Voyez-vous? Quand Sion a éprouvé des douleurs, ou est entrée en travail (Je pense que c’est le meilleur mot), eh bien, le–alors elle a donné naissance à des enfants. Voyez-vous? Vous–vous devez être brisé. Il est question de l’atmosphère de la chose.
| E-12 You, would you like to know what I think the greatest need of the church today? Would you like... What I think... Where I think the lacking is? Is a no soul travail. The people are not broke up enough. They're... There--there's no burden seemingly. And you give me someone that's just so tore up about lost souls that they just cry and are--are wanting a revival so bad till they can hardly eat, just simply can't...
If you'll read the history of the world and the religious history, you'll find out it always taken that kind of a spirit to bring a revival. That's right. See? When Zion travailed or traveled (I think's a better word), why the--then she brought forth children. See? You--you have to be tore up. It's the atmosphere of anything.

E-13 Quand vous allez quelque part où il y a des discussions; vous entrez dans ce type d’atmosphère. S’il y a quelque chose dans l’église, quelqu’un qui est désobéissant et qui se comporte très mal dans l’église et qui cause des ennuis, vous ne serez jamais en mesure d’avoir un réveil aussi longtemps qu’il y aura ce genre d’atmosphère autour de vous. Et ainsi, il faut que tout le monde...
Si vous observez, quand le Saint-Esprit est venu à la Pentecôte, ils étaient tous au même endroit, d’un même accord (Est-ce juste?), attendant une promesse. Et quand on a une telle attitude, Frère Boze, alors le réveil viendra. Cela–c’est juste.
| E-13 You get around where there's arguments; you get into that type of atmosphere. If there's something in the church, someone who's disobedient, and very ugly acting in the church and causing trouble, you'll never be able to have a revival as long as that kind of an atmosphere is around. And so, you have to have everybody...
If you'll notice when the Holy Spirit came on Pentecost, they were all in one place and in one accord (Is that right?) and waiting for a promise. And when we get like that, Brother Boze, the revival will be here then. That--that's right.

E-14 Et aujourd’hui nous tenons de nombreuses grandes réunions attrayantes, qui durent comme nous les appelons dans le Sud, vous savez. Et ainsi, c’est juste un–un terme qu’on utilise pour... à la place de réveil. Mais je pense que c’est devenu simplement des réunions qui durent (c’est juste) au lieu des réveils. Car, dans la–dans la nation, nous n’avons pas encore de réveil, d’après ce que je vois. Je ne vois pas de...
Quand nous aurons un réveil comme celui que l’on a eu lors du réveil du pays de Galle ou en Ecosse, ou lors de l’un de ces réveils de l’époque de Wesley, quand il y a eu ce grand bouleversement, et qu’un–un réveil mondial est venu par John Wesley, je pense que c’est à ce moment-là que nous aurons un vrai réveil.
Eh bien, récemment j’ai remarqué dans mon ministère qu’il y a... Les gens (ceux qui sont remplis de l’Esprit)... mais ils regardent pourtant ce que Dieu fait, les signes ou quelque chose qu’Il accomplit, les gens restent assis là et disent: «Eh bien, c’est très bien.» Voyez-vous? Et vous verrez donc Dieu faire quelque chose d’autre, et les gens disent: «C’est très bien. Nous apprécions ça. Dieu... un homme de bien.» Voyez-vous? C’est comme pour dire: «Eh bien, c’était Ton devoir, ô Dieu. Tu as simplement fait ce qui est de Ton devoir.»
| E-14 And today we're having many great attractive meetings, protractive we call it down in the South, you know. And so it's just a--a word they use for... instead of revival. But I think it has become just a protractive meeting (That's right.) instead of revival. 'Cause we do not have a revival in the--in the nation as yet, as I see. I don't see any...
If we have a revival like they did at the Welsh Revival or in Scotland or some of those revivals in the days of Wesley when they had the great breaking up, and a--a world revival come by John Wesley. And that's when I think we have a real revival.
Now, I've noticed in my ministry, recently, that there is... The people will (Spirit-filled people), but yet they'll watch what God will do and signs or something that He will perform, and the people set and say, "Well, that's very fine." See? And you'll notice God will do something else now, and they'll say, "That's very nice. We appreciate that. God... good man." See? Just kinda, "Well, it was Your duty, God. You did it just as a duty."

E-15 Mais alors, s’il y avait réellement un réveil dans l’air, quand l’une de ces choses se produit, chaque âme la saisirait rapidement et cela serait... Oh! la la! cela n’aurait pas de fin. Cela irait simplement d’une personne à l’autre, d’une personne à l’autre, et cela continuerait à avancer.
Or, bien entendu, vous savez, je suis un–un Américain comme vous, mais là en Afrique dans le... où c’est censé être un pays des païens, cela devrait nous rendre plutôt honteux de voir comment ils reçoivent l’Evangile. Et un homme en robe blanche et portant une écritoire à la ceinture s’était avancé. Et il reçut de Dieu la commission de parcourir la ville (maintenant, écoutez ceci), et de faire une marque sur le front (le scellement du Saint-Esprit), une marque sur le front de chaque homme ou chaque femme qui soupirait et gémissait à cause des abominations qui se commettaient dans la ville.

When the Holy Spirit when forth from... First it was man went forth from behind the gates with slaughtering weapons to destroy. That was of course in the--the--Scripturally rightly applied, was just before the destruction of Jerusalem.
And there was a man came forth with a white robe and a inkhorn at his side. And the commission was given to him by God to go through the city (Now, just listen to this.), and set a mark upon the forehead (the sealing of the Holy Spirit), a mark upon the forehead of every man or woman that sighed and cried for the abominations did in the city.

You don't know how good it feels when you're standing and you know that you're challenged face-to-face with oppositions, and back through my mind I think, "Well, now there was so many people attended Chicago meetings, many of them said... There's some of them praying now. There's bound to be some there in Chicago praying. There's some praying out of Miami. There's some praying out of Palm Beach. There's some praying out of here or there." And put all them together, I know then I'm just covered around by prayer. And that just makes you feel real--real strong, I tell you. You kindly say, "Now, Satan, looky here. There's just prayer all around me. See?" And--and I--I know our--our standing.

Now, this inside man, if it--if it is of God, it's the Spirit of God (Is that right?) that's inside our being. Now, my finger could not move without something making it move. It works from an intelligent here that the mind subconsciously... Just maybe if I'd happen to think to reach over here; I don't have to think about it. It just look like... Now, there's where faith lays.

Et tout au-dedans de nous, ici dans notre coeur, il y a le subconscient, et il reçoit des ordres venant d’ici en haut. Eh bien, maintenant, vous m’avez souvent entendu à l’estrade, sans doute. J’étais simplement en train d’écouter une bande d’une réunion à Owensboro l’autre jour, au sujet d’une personne qui était–était estropiée, et qui a été guérie. Et je... Et cela jouait, le Saint-Esprit parlait.

The man goes down in the ship to run the ship down here, well, he don't see where he's going, but he just takes orders from up above. But way down in the midst of us, here in our heart, is the subconscious, and it takes orders from up here. Well now, you've heard me on the platform many times, no doubt. I was just hearing a tape from--from the Owensboro meeting the other day about a person who was--was crippled, was healed. And I... And how it was speaking, how the Holy Spirit speaking.

Oh! je crois certainement.» Eh bien, si cela–si–si c’est vrai, cela va... celui-ci et celui-ci s’accordent avec cela, alors nous obtenons la chose. Voyez-vous? Et alors cela–cela devra marcher.
| E-21 Now, up here, this conscious comes up to the platform, "Brother Branham, praise the Lord, I have faith." But right down there in that other little conscious said, "Now, you know you haven't." See? Well now, if you can get this one and that one in harmony with that one, that--that, you see, it... This one's saying, "Yes." all the time. This one's saying, "Yes." But way down in there there's something that little fellow just. See? It just... You want to make it. You want to say, yes, but it just down there that little shadow that makes you... And to help... Don't deal with this little fellow down here very much. Well, you'll find out he just kindly does the ruling. You see?
So, if this fellow... After all, he's the one who drives the ship. See? He's the one who does the steering. This one might say a lot, but this is the guy that does the work down here. See, see? So this one right here say, "Oh, yes. I believe that. Oh, sure I do." Well, if that--if--if that's right, this is the going to... this and this agrees with that then we've got it. See? And then it'll--it'll have to work.

Vous pourriez retourner à l’hôpital le matin, et qu’on dise: «Eh bien, votre bras est toujours raide. Votre cancer est toujours là. C’est...» Cela n’aura pas la moindre... Cela ne vous déconcertera pas du tout. Voyez-vous? Si cela, ceci et ceci s’accordent. Voyez-vous? C’est juste. La foi fait tout.
| E-22 But until that does it, well, it just won't work. That's all, because you got orders going this way, and this one going this way, and they're just pulling your ship one way and you don't get out of harbor. You see? You're still out here.
And so, we just got to get those fellows to agreeing and saying, "God is right." This says, "God is right." This says, "God is right." Then we move forward. You see? We got orders, everything. There's nothing in your way. There's nothing to make you doubt it, all the symptoms you could have.
You might go back to the hospital in the morning. They'd say, "Well, your arm is still stiff. Your cancer's still there. It's..." That wouldn't have one speck of... That wouldn't phase you a bit. See? If that, this, and this is agreed. See? That's right. Faith does anything.

E-23 Or, Dieu est en vous. Vous qui avez le Saint-Esprit, Dieu est en vous. Croyez-vous cela? Et maintenant, Jésus a dit: «Je vous donne le pouvoir.» Je vais vous montrer la faiblesse de l’église, par la grâce de Dieu. «Je vous donne le pouvoir sur les esprits impurs. Vous allez les chasser.» Non pas Moi, [mais] vous. «Vous chasserez... En Mon Nom, ils chasseront les démons; ils parleront de nouvelles langues; ils saisiront des serpents; ils boiront des breuvages mortels, et cela ne leur fera pas de mal.»
Pensons au grand saint Paul, une fois, ils ont accosté sur une certaine île. Le bateau avait fait naufrage. Dieu lui avait promis qu’il allait arriver à une certaine destination. Il retournait à Rome pour comparaître devant César, et il croyait en Dieu. Il aidait donc les hommes, on l’avait lié avec des chaînes, il était prisonnier. Et il aidait les hommes à jeter du bois dans le feu.
| E-23 Now, in you is God. You who have the Holy Ghost, God is in you. Do you believe that? And now, Jesus said, "I give you power." Let me show you the weakness of the church by God's grace. "I give you power over unclean spirits. You'll cast them out." Not I will, you will. "You'll cast... In My Name they shall cast out devils. They shall speak with new tongues. They take up serpents, they drink deadly things, it will not harm them."
We think of the great Saint Paul, one time landed on a certain island. The ship was wrecked. God had promised him that he was going to make a certain destination. He was going back to Rome and to stand before Caesar, and he believed God. So he was helping the man; he had chains around him, a prisoner. And he was helping the man throw some wood in the fire.

E-24 Et quand il y jetait du bois, une grosse bête au venin mortel, un serpent, l’a mordu juste à la main. Maintenant, écoutez. Un moment après, Paul a regardé et il a vu cela. Ceci, ceci et cela s’étaient accordés. Il n’y avait pas la moindre crainte. Il a dit: «Ils–ils saisiront des serpents et ils ne leur feront pas de mal.» Il a considéré cette morsure mortelle sans crainte. Quand vous avez peur, alors–alors Satan s’en mêle. Satan, c’est la crainte. Mais l’amour parfait chasse toute crainte. Voilà. «Je suis l’homme de Dieu. Voilà ce serpent suspendu à ma main, mais il n’y a aucune crainte ici, ici, ou là.» Voyez-vous? Tout était en harmonie.
| E-24 And when he throwed some wood down, a great deadly beast, serpent, bit him right through the hand. And that beast was so deadly, till if it bit a person, they usually dropped dead within a minute or two. And so the natives said, "That man..." Said, "Look, his chains on him. He's a prisoner. He must be a murderer, because he's certainly... He might escape the storm, but he's just not going to escape that--this serpent and he's going to die."
Now, look. A moment, Paul looked and seen it. This, this, and that all agreed. There was not a speck of fear. He said, "They--they'd take up serpents and it'll not harm them." He looked at that deathly bite, no fear. If you fear, then--then Satan steps in. Satan's fear. But perfect love casts out all fear. There you are. "I'm God's man. There hangs the serpent, but there's not one speck of fear here, here, or there." See? It's all in harmony.

E-25 Il a regardé l’animal. Il s’est dit: «Bien, bien», il l’a secoué dans le feu, et il est retourné chercher encore du bois qu’il devait mettre au feu.
«Oh! diriez-vous, Paul, n’as-tu pas peur de tomber raide mort?»

Eh bien, le Saint-Esprit même qui a créé les cieux et la terre avait tellement rempli cet homme de Sa puissance que la mort qui était dans les–les crochets de ce serpent ne pouvait même pas pénétrer dans son corps, parce que tout son corps était rempli de l’Esprit autant qu’il était rempli de sang. Voyez-vous? Et... Est-ce juste?
| E-25 He looked at the thing. He thought, "Well, well," shook it off in the fire, went over and got some more sticks and he had to put them on.
"Why," you say, "Paul, aren't you afraid you'll fall dead?"
"Why, certainly not, can't fall dead. The Holy Spirit's in me."
Now, the very Holy Spirit that made the heavens and earth had that man so charged with His power till that death in that--that fang of that serpent wouldn't even go into his body, because His whole body was full of Spirit as same as it's full blood. See? And... Is that right?

Now, you... We can't argue and quarrel and fuss with denominations and ever get to it. Denominations won't bring us to it. It's a perfect love and confidence in God, just what brings it. See? There you... See? And you... And we may--we may shout; we may speak with tongues. We may--we may do--be great teachers of theology, we may have D.D.'s hanging on to us, but it'll never work until that, this, and this comes in harmony. See, that makes the...

E-27 C’est comme cette lumière. Si vous détachez un–un fil, qu’il s’agisse du négatif ou du positif, cela ne marchera certainement pas. C’est tout. Cela–cela doit avoir le fil de terre. Cela doit être bien mis à la masse, et–et cela doit avoir le type correct de fil et tout, et cela conduira le courant; c’est tout ce qu’il faut.
Eh bien, si nous sommes réellement établis en Christ (Voyez-vous?), que le Saint-Esprit est en nous, et que nous sommes enracinés et établis dans la foi de Dieu, cela va certainement apporter la lumière de l’Evangile au monde. C’est juste. Cela va guérir les malades; cela va accomplir de grandes oeuvres.
Que le Seigneur vous bénisse, chrétiens, et puissiez-vous recevoir Ses bénédictions. Bon, dans Nombres, je–j’ai–j’ai dépassé l’heure pour commencer la ligne de prière. Et je... Mais j’aimerais lire cette Ecriture de Nombres, chapitre 21. C’est tout simplement tombé sur mon coeur tout à l’heure en sorte que je–je me suis simplement dit que je devrais lire cela. C’est un passage bien connu. C’est au sujet de–de Moïse et des enfants d’Israël. Et je crois que Dieu va bénir Sa Parole maintenant pendant que nous allons lire.
| E-27 Like that light. You take the--the one wire off, negative or positive. It certainly won't work. That's all. It's--it's got to have the ground. It's got to be grounded good, and--and it's got to have the right type of wire and everything and it'll pack the current; that's all it needs.
Well, if we're really grounded in Christ (See?), with the Holy Ghost in us, and rooted and grounded in the faith of God, it'll certainly pack the Light of the Gospel to the world. That's right. It'll heal the sick; it'll do great works.
The Lord bless you, Christians, and may you just receive His blessings. Now, in Numbers, I--I'm--I'm past time to start the prayer line. And I... But I want to read this Scripture in Numbers the 21st chapter. Just come on my heart so much awhile ago till I--I just thought I would read it. It's very familiar. It's of the--Moses and the children of Israel. And I trust that God will bless His Word now as we go in to read.

Et pendant qu’ils passaient, je pense que c’était vers onze heures de la journée, Pierre a regardé cet arbre. Il a dit: «Dis donc, regarde, a-t-il dit, Tu as simplement dit cela hier, et cet arbre est mort depuis la racine.» Voyez-vous? Il a séché.
| E-28 And as I read it, now keep these things on mind what I've told you. See? Keep them on mind (See?), that if you... Jesus passed by a tree. He looked on it. There was no fruit on it, and He said, "No man eat off of you from henceforth." Went on up to Jerusalem, of course they was fussing at Him up there, and He couldn't stand that. That was the wrong kind of atmosphere for Him, so He moved out, went on back down, come off the mountain the next morning.
And as they passed by, about eleven o'clock in the day I suppose, Peter looked at that tree. He said, "Say, notice," said, "You just said that yesterday, and that tree is dead from the roots." See? It dried up.

E-29 Eh bien, Jésus a dit: «Ayez foi en Dieu.» Est-ce juste? «Car en vérité, en vérité, Je vous le dis, si vous (pas si Moi Je)–si vous dites à cette montagne: ‘Ôte-toi de là’, et si vous ne doutez pas, il vous obéira.» Obligatoirement. Il doit faire exactement ce que vous dites, pourvu que vous ne doutiez pas. Eh bien, croyez-le ici. Maintenant, amenons ce subconscient aussi à croire cela. Et quand le subconscient et cette conscience sont en harmonie avec Dieu, alors la chose va arriver.
Maintenant, dans Nombres chapitre 21, verset 5.
Et le peuple parla contre Dieu et contre Moïse: Pourquoi nous avez-vous fait monter hors d’Egypte, pour que nous mourions dans ce désert? Car–car il n’y a point de pain, et il n’y a point d’eau, et notre âme est dégoûtée de cette misérable nourriture.

L’Eternel dit à Moïse: Fais-toi un serpent brûlant, et place-le sur une perche; quiconque aura été mordu, et le regardera, conservera la vie.
Moïse fit un serpent d’airain, et le plaça sur une perche; et quiconque avait été mordu par un serpent, et regardait le serpent d’airain, conservait la vie.
Les enfants d’Israël partirent, et ils campèrent à Oboth.
| E-29 Why, Jesus said, "Have faith in God." Is that right? "For verily, verily I say unto you, if you (not if I), if you shall say unto this mountain, 'Be moved' and don't doubt it, it'll obey you." It'd have to. It'd have to do just what you say, if you didn't doubt it. Now, you believe it up here. Now, let's get this subconscious believing it too. And when the subconscious and this conscious in harmony with God, then it'll happen.
Now, in Numbers the 21st chapter, the 5th verse.
And the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in this wilderness? for--for there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our souls loatheth this light bread.
And the Lord sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Therefore the--the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against thee, and against the Lord;... (Just a moment.)... against thee, and the Lord, and against thee; pray unto the Lord, that he may take away the serpents from among us. And Moses prayed for the people.
And the Lord said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live.
And Moses made a serpent out of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he had beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.
And the children of Israel set forward, and pitched in Oboth.

When there was a trouble, God has always been the God to meet the need when there is a need for His people. And you know that. And God promised that He would supply their need. Now, when they had... Yet they had did wrong, and they had sinned and done things that was wrong, yet when they had need of healing, God made an atonement for healing when there was no atonement yet. See? God made it. In the face of every difficult God will make a way of escape. He will do it, if you'll just have faith and believe Him.

E-31 Maintenant, bien entendu ils étaient loin là-bas. Peut-être que Moïse était un médecin. Et le péché est la cause directe ou indirecte de la maladie. Avant qu’il y ait le péché, nous n’avions pas de maladie. Donc, pour commencer, la maladie est un attribut du péché, peut-être qu’il ne s’agit pas de ce que vous avez fait, mais de ce que vous–vous avez hérité, car Dieu a promis que cela irait même jusqu’à la troisième et à la quatrième génération, qu’Il punirait la désobéissance des parents par la maladie.
Eh bien, parfois, il y a un bon médecin. Si vous allez chez un médecin et que ce soit un bon médecin, vous direz: «Docteur, j’ai mal à la tête.» Eh bien, s’il se soucie de son patient, il ne dira pas: «Oh! bien. Il y a quelque chose qui provoque ce mal de tête. Peut-être qu’une aspirine va l’arrêter, je–je ne sais pas. Mais si c’est un bon médecin, il ne va pas se débarrasser de vous comme cela. Il fera le mieux qu’il peut pour vous.
| E-31 Now, 'course they were way out there. Moses, perhaps, was a physician. He was taught in all the--the wisdom of the Egyptians and perhaps knowed many remedies for snakebites, but this time the remedies that he had, the wisdom of the Egyptians, would not work, because the reason there was a... The people had been disputing with Moses and disputing... Said, "Why did you bring us up out of the wilderness?" Just complaining all the time and it brought sin.
And sickness is a direct, or indirect caused by sin. Before we had any sin, we had no sickness. So first, sickness is an attribute of sin, maybe not what you've done, but what you--you inherited because God promised that it would go even to the third and fourth generations, that He would visit sickness because of the parent's disobedience to Him.
Now, there is sometimes a good doctor. If you go to a doctor, and if he's a good doctor, you say, "Doctor, I got a headache." Now, if he's interested in his patient, he won't say, "Oh, well. Take an aspirin and go home." He won't do that. He's going to find... First he's going to diagnose that case till he finds just exactly where the cause is. See? There's something causing that headache. Maybe an aspirin would take care of it, I--I wouldn't know. But if he's a good doctor, he just wouldn't brush you off like that. He'd do the best that he could for you.

E-32 Et maintenant, s’il disait: «Eh bien, peut-être que vous avez l’appendicite. | E-32 And now, if he'd say, "Well, perhaps you got appendicitis. We'll just operate on you." Well now, without diagnosing the case, that would still be unethical. See, he's--he's got to first find the cause. Well now, that's the way it is in God in these meetings.
And the reason that I go slow with the patients is the first thing, there's something caused that sickness. And before you can get rid of the sickness, if the doctor can do nothing for you, then you got to find the cause, the reason for that. So there's many times... And you who attend the meetings, understand how the Holy Spirit will reveal to the people hidden sin and so forth that they--they've done a long years ago, or maybe something that they ought not have done or something they ought to have done and did not do. And you watch it on the platform.

E-33 Maintenant, c’est Dieu qui envoie Son Esprit pour révéler les secrets des coeurs des gens. Eh bien, sans tarder elle a voulu de cette eau. Il a dit: «Va chercher ton mari.» Eh bien, voyez-vous ce qu’Il a fait? D’abord Il–Il est allé droit à la raison pour laquelle elle ne pouvait pas boire de cette eau. Voyez-vous? Avant qu’elle puisse avoir cette eau, il y avait une raison ici.

| E-33 Now, that is God sending His Spirit down to reveal the secrets of the hearts of people. When Jesus Christ was here, that was His ministry, when He found the woman who was really thirsting for the water of life. Do you believe that? Saint John the 4th chapter. And Jesus carried a conversation with her. He said... She was a Samaritan, not a Jew. And He said, "Bring Me a drink of water." And He quickly, He just wanted a conversation with her.
She said, "Why, it's not customary for You to ask such as that. You're a Jew and I'm a Samaritan."
He said, "Well, if you knew Who you were talking to, you'd ask Me for a drink." Well, quickly, she wanted the water. He said, "Go get your husband." Now, see what He did? The first thing He--He went right straight to the reason that she couldn't drink this water. You see? Before she could have this water, there was a reason here.
She said, "I don't have any."
Said, "That's right. You got five, and the one you're living with now is not your husband." In other words, was a common law wife.

E-34 «Eh bien, a-t-elle dit, je vois que Tu es prophète.» Et alors, elle a dit: «Le Messie doit venir, nous savons que lorsqu’Il viendra, Il nous annoncera toutes choses.»

| E-34 "Why," she said, "I perceive that You're a prophet." And now, she said, "Messiah cometh, and we know that when He comes, He will tell us all things."
And He said, "I am Him. I'm the One that you're speaking to. I'm the Messiah," in other words. And so, she went into the city, and not only was she forgiven of her own sin, but she caused a great multitude of people to believe on Jesus when He spoke to them.
And then when Philip went down to preach to them after the Holy Ghost came... Jesus never performed one miracle according to the Scriptures, as we have, while He was in Samaria--Samaria. He just went down there and told them about the Kingdom of God. And they said to the woman, "Now we believe ourself, because we've heard Him talk. He's different from other people. And we know that this is the very Messiah."

E-35 Et ainsi donc, après, Philippe est allé là-bas et leur a prêché, Jésus avait déjà apporté le Message. Et puis, probablement qu’il y avait déjà eu un–un moment chez eux où ils avaient dit: «Nous savons que le Messie est sur terre et que tout ira bien maintenant.» Et puis, Philippe est allé leur prêcher, et c’est à ce moment-là que les guérisons se sont produites, que de grands miracles et de grands prodiges se sont produits.
Et ensuite, Jacques ou Jean et–et Pierre sont venus et les ont baptisés dans le–le corps des croyants. Et le Saint-Esprit est descendu sur eux, et de là, l’Eglise s’est mise en marche. | E-35 And so then after Philip went down and preached to them, Jesus had done placed the message out. Then they'd probably had a--a time among themselves and saying, "We know the Messiah's on earth and everything's going to be all right now." And then Philip goes down to preach to them, and then is when the healings taken place, great signs and wonders taken place.
Then down comes James or John and--and Peter and baptized them into the--the body of believers. And the Holy Ghost came upon them, and there went the Church from there on. See how God worked the thing? He diagnoses the case, gets rid of everything, and then comes right down and lives into man Himself.

Now, wait just a moment. Sin is unbelief. Now, that's what sin is. There's no other sin but unbelief. It's not a sin to do things like drinking and--and smoking and gambling and--and prostitution. That's not sin. That's--that's the result of sin, that the reason you do that is because you are a unbeliever. See? That's the attributes of sin.

E-37 Maintenant, si vous croyez, vous n’allez pas... Et puis, si vous... Bien entendu, si vous portez d’autres fruits, Jésus a dit: «C’est à leurs fruits que vous les reconnaîtrez.» Est-ce juste? Ce n’est pas par leurs actes, ni par ceci ou cela, mais par leurs fruits...
| E-37 Now, if you believe, you won't... Jesus said, "He that heareth My words and believeth on Him that sent me has Everlasting Life because he's believed." Now, if you believe, you don't do those things. You can't make a--a grain... You can't make a wheat stalk become a--a cocklebur, could you? No, sir. There's no way of doing it. It's just... The life in it is wheat so it produces wheat. And if you're borned of the Spirit of God, you'll... You're a Christian, and you can't do nothing but bear Christian fruits. That's all. That's just the whole thing.
And then if you... Of course if you bear other fruits, Jesus said, "By their fruits you shall know them." Is that right? Not by their acts, not by what this or that, but by their fruit...

Eh bien, maintenant vous direz: «Frère Branham, j’ai cessé de boire, j’ai cessé de faire ces choses et j’ai abandonné mes mauvaises voies.» Eh bien, vous avez fait cela pour une raison. Voyez-vous? La–la seule chose qui vous a fait faire cela, c’est parce que vous êtes devenu un croyant. Voyez-vous?
| E-38 Now, the--the wheat, if you say, "I put wheat in that field." And I go out there and don't see any fruit of wheat, well I--I kind of doubt you a little bit. See? But if you say, "Well, I put wheat in that field," and it's producing wheat. Well, that's right. You're right. The--the fruits of it proves that that's what you got in the field, is wheat.
And then unbelief--unbelief is the--the only thing that can keep you from the Kingdom of God. The only thing that is sin, is unbelief. Well now, you say, "Brother Branham, I quit drinking and I quit doing these things and my evil ways." Well, you did that for one purpose. See? The--the only thing that caused you to do that, is because you become a believer. See?

E-39 Maintenant, vous pouvez dire: «Eh bien, je ne suis pas un croyant, mais j’ai simplement cessé de faire cela.» Alors vous n’êtes pas un chrétien. Voyez-vous? Vous n’êtes pas un chrétien. Peu importe combien vous avez une haute moralité. Vous direz: «Eh bien, je... Ce sera bientôt la fête de Nouvel An.» Les gens diront: «Je tourne une nouvelle page.» Eh bien, ça ne sert à rien. Pourquoi n’en tournez-vous pas une là? C’est–c’est... Il ne s’agit pas de prendre une page, mais de prendre un livre. C’est juste. Changer de livre. Et–et alors Dieu va–va s’occuper de vous à partir de ce moment-là. Alors Son Saint-Esprit entrera en nous, et alors nous devenons Ses représentants. Alors nous ne pouvons porter que des fruits du chrétien, si l’Esprit chrétien domine sur nous. Est-ce juste? L’Esprit chrétien, c’est l’Esprit de Christ.
| E-39 Now, you can say, "Well, I'm not a believer, but I just quit that." Then you're not a Christian. See? You're not a Christian. It don't matter how moral you are. You just might keep all the ten commandments and--and do all the morals and everything and be an unbeliever, you're still not a Christian. You're still dead. You're just as bad off in the--as in the sight of God if it comes to coming into the Kingdom. Now, I believe that every man whether he's a sinner or not, he should be a moral. I'm not trying to take away the morals, but I'm saying that a man that really is try...
Say, "Well, I... It'll soon be New Year's." People will be saying, "I'm turning a new page." Well, that don't do no good. Why don't you turn one up there? That's--that's... Not get a page, but get a book. That's right. Change books. And--and then God will--will take care of you from then on. Then His Holy Spirit will come into us, and we then are His representatives. Then we cannot bear nothing but the Christian fruit if we're dominated by the Christian Spirit. Is that right? The Christian Spirit is the Christ Spirit.

E-40 Et puis, Jésus a dit: «Vous ferez aussi les choses que Je fais.» Est-ce juste? «Vous ferez au-... les mêmes choses que Je fais et même de plus grandes, car Je M’en vais au Père.» Eh bien, Il a dit: «Encore un peu de temps, et le monde ne Me verra plus (C’est-à-dire les incroyants. Voyez-vous? Le cosmos, l’ordre du monde)–ne Me verra plus; mais vous, vous Me verrez (les croyants), car Je serai avec vous, même en vous jusqu’à la fin du monde.» Eh bien, les attributs de cette vie chrétienne parfaite seraient dans un groupe de gens et se manifesteraient dans leur vie jusqu’à la seconde venue de Jésus-Christ.
Je pense que je vous ai parlé de ma conception de Dieu, de ce que Dieu est. Ecoutez ceci: Pour moi, je crois que Dieu a toujours été un Dieu trin. Christ, le Saint-Esprit de Dieu, est tout simplement comme une règle de trois pieds [environ 1 mètre–N.D.T.]. Eh bien, les douze premiers pouces, c’est Dieu le Père; les douze pouces qui suivent, c’est Dieu le Fils; et les douze derniers pouces de la règle de trois pieds, de la règle entière, c’est Dieu le Saint-Esprit.

Personne d’entre nous ne croit dans–dans trois différents... ou ne dit qu’il y a un Dieu le Père et un autre Dieu plus jeune, le Fils, et un autre homme, Dieu le Saint-Esprit. C’est–cela serait–ce serait du paganisme. Ce n’est pas... Il s’agit seulement d’un seul Dieu dans trois dispensations différentes.
| E-40 Then Jesus said, "The things that I do shall you do also." Is that right? "The same things that I do you'll do al... even greater, for I'll go to My Father." Now, He said, "A little while, and the world won't see Me no more (That's the unbeliever. See? The cosmos, the world order.)--will see Me no more, yet you'll see Me (the believer), for I'll be with you even in you to the end of the world." Now, the attributes of that one perfect Christian life would be in a group of people and would live till the second coming of Jesus Christ.
I believe I told you my conception of God, what God is. Listen to this. I believe that God has always been to me the triune God. Christ, Holy Person of God, is just like a three foot rule. Now, the first twelve inches is God the father, second twelve inches God the Son, and the third twelve inches the three foot, the rule complete, God the Holy Spirit.
Now, it's not we... None of us believe in--in three different... or say there's one God the Father and another younger Fellow God the Son and another Man God the Holy Ghost. That's--that would be--that would be heathen. It's not... It's only one God in three different dispensations.

| E-41 Now, God, when He settled over Mount Sinai that morning and Moses wrote... Was up there to get the commandments, He was--He was in the Pillar of Fire. E-42 Et le peuple a dit: «Que Dieu ne parle pas, de peur que nous mourrions. Now, watch the love of God, and that ought to make you start praying for a revival. God condescending, coming down, unfolding Himself, then God appeared there in the Pillar of Fire. Then the next time He appeared in a visible form was when He appeared in His Son, Christ Jesus. He overshadowed a virgin, created a blood cell in her womb that brought forth the Son of God. And God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself. Is that right?

Now, that was God on earth. The Bible said that He shall be called "Emmanuel" which is interpreted "God with us." Is that right. Now--now, there is God, as a--a condescending God, coming down now. He's in the form of man. Now, watch. He's just a little closer to man.

And then beyond that's still more worlds and moons and stars.

E-45 Et ce Jéhovah Dieu qui a créé toutes ces choses est descendu Lui-même pour vivre dans votre coeur et dans mon coeur. Avant de le faire, Il a dû nettoyer Son chemin. Et nous avons fait deux mille ans, et deux tiers des habitants de la terre n’ont jamais entendu parler de Jésus-Christ. Deux tiers des habitants de la terre ne savent rien du tout de Jésus-Christ. Now, we are His hands on earth. We are His eyes on earth. We are His Gospel on earth. And the Gospel is not altogether by the Word. The Word made manifest is the Gospel. The Gospel come not in Word only, but through power and demonstration of the Holy Spirit. "Go ye into all the world and demonstrate the power of the Holy Spirit to all the nations." Now, instead of that, we begin to teach theology.
And we've had two thousands years and two-thirds of the earth has never heard of Jesus Christ. Two-thirds of the earth don't know one thing about Jesus Christ. Think of it. Well, you say, "That's over in heathen land." That's almost in the United States of America.

He said, "But what I'm trying to think of: all of this that I've seen and--and all the degrees I've got," he said, "My heart's hungering for God." Et après que cet homme fut mort et parti, Finney a rendu visite à sa veuve et il a pris ces villes, et ces réveils se sont produits très exactement comme l’homme l’avait dit. Pourquoi? Parce qu’une âme qui agonisait, une âme dans la Présence de Dieu en toute sincérité, avait fait bien plus pour apporter un réveil que toutes les écoles qu’il y avait au monde. C’est juste. Une seule âme qui avait prié avec instance.
| E-56 I was reading where, I believe it was Charles G. Finney, one of the greatest evangelists of the day, and a converted lawyer. And when he... There was an old man dying with TB, and before he died, he laid on his face crying and praying. And he'd raised up and he'd say, "Well, I was able to pray the prayer of faith for a certain city. God's going to give a revival in that city." And he narrowed down about thirty different cities.
And after the man was dead and gone, Finney come by to his widow and picked up those cities, and those revivals come just exactly the way that man said. Why? Because one agonizing soul, one soul before God in sincerity, done more to bring a revival than all the schools there was in the world. That's right. One soul prayed through.

Et ils ont eu un réveil là-bas. Oh! la la! Quel réveil! Mais qu’est-ce qui les a ruinés? Ensuite, les enseignants sont venus d’Angleterre avec différentes tendances et ils ont commencé à s’établir là, et ils se sont mis à enseigner la théologie et à s’éloigner de la puissance de Dieu et tout comme cela. Et alors la chose toute entière a sombré dans le chaos. Et c’est très exactement ce qui est arrivé aux Etats-Unis d’Amérique.
Et, frère, retournons à Dieu, au Dieu vivant, au Ressuscité, à Celui qui est amour, à Celui qui ne fait acception d’aucune dénomination, qui ne fait acception de personne d’une quelconque autre manière, Celui qui aime chacune de Ses créatures sur terre, et qui désire descendre. Il a fait tout Son possible pour se frayer un chemin et descendre jusque dans les coeurs des hommes.
| E-57 Any of you, I'll tell you, the great eastern revival of many years ago when in Africa, when those Hottentots and so forth over there, when they had a revival, the very--the very reason of it never come from their teaching and their big schools, was one poor illiterate, unlearned colored man back in a little old haunt back there, laid on his face day and night in the dust and prayed till God sent a revival that swept all eastern or northern Africa in the Kingdom of God.
And they had a revival there. My, what a revival. But what ruined them? Then the teachers came down from England and different ways and begin to set up in there and begin to teach theology and get away from the power of God and things like that. And then the whole thing went into chaos. And that's just exactly what's happened in the United States of America.
And, brother, let's get back to God, to the living God, the resurrected One, the One Who's love, the One Who respects no denominations, and respects them all in another way, the One Who loves every creature of His on the earth, and is wanting to come down. He's done everything He can to work His way down into the hearts of men.

Notre Bienveillant Père céleste, je prie d’abord ce soir pour cette grande ville, alors que je le contemple comme dans une grande vue panoramique, et c’est toute la région métropolitaine, et je vois ce soir comment le péché... Je pense à Sodome, quand des anges sont descendus pour s’assurer de la véracité de ce qu’ils avaient entendu. Et nous savons que nous sommes proches de quelque chose. Je prie pour Chicago, ô Dieu. Our kind heavenly Father, I pray for this great city tonight first, looking upon it as the overall panoramic view of it, and it's the whole metropolitan area, and seeing tonight how sin... I'm thinking of Sodom when Angels came down to find out if that was true. And we know that we're near something. I pray for Chicago, God. And believing that little meetings such as gathered around over the city of true believers is the only thing that's keeping the wrath of God and judgment from being poured out right now.

Oh, Father, I pray that You'll endue them with great power tonight, great power of faith. May every thought be moved from their mind, or in--from their subconscious that would be contrary to Your Divine plan tonight. Take it away, Father. Be with us now.

Voyez-vous? Ces choses sont tout à fait comme mes yeux, mon nez. Paul n’a-t-il pas dit cela dans 1 Corinthiens? Voyez-vous, ils font tous partie du corps.

God put some in the Church to be gifts of healing (that's prayer of faith, of course.), some of them in there to be teachers and evangelists. Now, what we've done, we've took all the rest of the body away and just said, "No, teachers and evangelists, that's all there is (See?), teachers and evangelists." We fail to see there's prophets, to fail to see there's apostles, to fail to see there's gifts of healing, speaking with tongues, interpretation of tongues, working of miracles. See? Those things go just the same as my eyes, nose. Didn't Paul say that, I Corinthians? See, they all go in the body.

Elles n’y peuvent rien. Elles ne rentrent jamais en arrière jusque dans leur subconscient. Mais votre subconscient... Quand vous rêvez, vous êtes quelque part, et vous vous en souvenez. Vous souvenez-vous des songes que vous avez eus il y a des années? Eh bien, quelle partie de vous était là où vous étiez dans votre songe, et qui fait que vous vous en souveniez encore? Voyez-vous? Il y a une partie de vous quelque part.
| E-65 Now, these gifts are... You're born in the world with them. They come by sovereignty of God. Now, it was my part in this world to see vision. And I've heard people try to say it was a prophetic or so forth, and I've heard people say, "Under the inspiration..." It'd speak it that way. But it's a subconscious thing. It's just as I've explained it to you before.
You couldn't dream a dream 'less somebody made you dream the dream. God had to do it. In your subconscious, someone don't dream dreams. He can't help it. He never gets back to his subconscious. But your subconscious... When you dream you're somewhere, and you remember. You remember dreams you dream years ago? Well, what part of you was where when you dreamed, that it makes it, you still remember it? See? There's some part of you somewhere.

And I'm a Christian, believe God, have received the Holy Spirit, and you will accept your healing then if God will reveal that.

Eh bien, dans quelques jours si elle ne garde pas la foi en Dieu, ce même esprit reviendra carrément. Voyez-vous? Mais il est dans Sa Présence.

Now, standing here in His Presence, every disease and everything will--will leave. But now, if you haven't got faith in God and in your heart here to believe God, it'll come back to you. But you watch that woman that was deaf. Why, in a few days if she don't keep believing God, that same spirit will come right back again. See? But it's in His Presence.

Et maintenant, Satan, je te maudis. Toi esprit de maladie et d’infirmités, sois maudit. Tu ne peux plus retenir ces gens. Le Saint-Esprit de Dieu a créé une foi ici ce soir de sorte que tu ne peux pas te tenir dans Sa Présence. Tu dois partir. Sors d’eux. Knowing that every spirit in here, every evil spirit right now is under the power of Almighty God, has to come out.
Now, while you have your heads bowed, no matter who you are, where you're from or what's wrong with you, all your evil sicknesses that's bothering your body is now subject to my prayer. And my prayer is to God that He heals every one of you. And now, I have told the truth. And our heavenly Father has testified that I have told you the truth. No matter how sick you are, how bad off you are, how weak, no matter what it is wrong, right now, not in the morning, just now Jesus Christ makes you well.
And now, Satan, I curse thee. Thou spirits of sickness and infirmities, cursed be you. You can't hold these people. God's Holy Spirit has created a faith in here tonight that you cannot stand in Its Presence. You have to remove. Come out of them.
