E-1 Bonsoir, mes amis. C’est certes un privilège de revenir dans cet auditorium ce soir, une fois de plus. Je fais confiance à la conduite du Saint-Esprit pour vous apporter le Message du Seigneur, tel qu’Il me Le donne, pour l’édification de Son Royaume et pour la gloire de Son Eglise. Voilà nos intentions pour la réunion de ce soir.
Nous sommes heureux de voir l’auditorium bondé le premier soir. Nous espérons donc que le Seigneur Jésus continuera à nous bénir alors que nous continuons soirée après soirée au service du Seigneur.
Eh bien, chaque après-midi, on–on aura un service, je pense, ici. On m’a dit... Est-ce vrai, frère...?... Sera-ce à 14 h? 14 h 30. Et ce sera un service d’instruction. Et je pense, au mieux de ce que j’ai compris il y a juste quelque temps, je sollicite un jour au cours de cette série de réunions pour aller à la réserve des Indiens Apaches (Je vois certains d’entre eux ici dans la réunion ce soir), pour tenir encore une réunion à la réserve des Apaches.
| E-1 Good evening, friends. It's indeed a privilege to be back in this auditorium tonight, again. Trusting under the leadership of the Holy Spirit to bring to you the message of the Lord as He gives it to me for the upbuilding of His Kingdom, for the glory of His Church is our intentions of this meeting tonight.
And we're happy to see the auditorium packed out the first night. So we just trust that the Lord Jesus will continue to bless us as we go on from night to night in the services of the Lord.
Now, each afternoon they--they have a service, I believe, here. He said to me... Is that right Brother...?... That's to be two o'clock? Two-thirty. And it's an instruction meeting. And I believe the best that I understood just a little bit ago, I'm asking the one day during the meeting to go up to the Apache Indian reservation (I see some of them are in the meeting tonight.) to have another service up at the Apache reservation.

E-2 Je n’oublierai jamais la réunion tenue chez les Apaches. Et alors, nous cherchons à fixer un rendez-vous pour cela. Et on verra les missionnaires et autres au... de la réserve des Indiens, afin de prendre des dispositions pour cette réunion. Chaque après-midi et chaque soir, nous tiendrons des réunions ici, le Seigneur voulant, jusqu’à ce que nous annoncerons le jour où nous irons là-bas.
Et maintenant, nous espérons que vous tous, vous êtes en prière et que vous aimez le Seigneur de tout votre coeur. C’est ce qu’il faut faire. Et maintenant, à beaucoup qui sont ici, peut-être des étrangers, peut-être des nouveaux venus, combien n’ont jamais été dans l’une de nos réunions? Faites voir la main, ceux qui n’ont jamais été dans l’une de nos réunions. Regardez donc les mains. N’est-ce pas...?... Eh bien, à ceux qui ont été dans des réunions, nous, moi-même y compris, nous vous souhaitons certainement la bienvenue à la première réunion. Et maintenant, puisse le Seigneur vous bénir, faire quelque chose pour vous et vous donner abondamment au-delà de toute mesure, de Son amour et de Sa grâce.
| E-2 I'll never forget the meeting with the Apaches. And now we're trying to make a date for that. And they'll see the missionary and so forth at the in--from the Indian reservation to make arrangements for this meeting. Each afternoon and each evening we'll have services here, the Lord willing, until we announce what day it'll be that we'll be going up there.
And now, we trust that all of you are on praying grounds and love the Lord with all your heart. That's the way to be. And now, to the many here, perhaps, are strangers, maybe your first time. How many has never been in one of our meetings? Let's see your hands, never been in one of our meetings? Just look at the hands. Isn't that...? Well, to them who has been in the meetings, we, and with myself, we certainly welcome you to the first service.

E-3 Et maintenant, j’allais commencer cette série de réunions, je viens simplement et je tiens juste à venir tenir un service d’évangélisation. J’ai vu beaucoup de choses se produire dans mes réunions. La manière surnaturelle–surnaturelle dont le Saint-Esprit agit dans des réunions a été très étrange pour le peuple américain, à cause de la grande confusion qui règne parmi le peuple américain: il y a diverses dénominations avec divers courants de croyances. Et ils sont tellement endoctrinés de leurs croyances qu’ils savent à peine où aller.
Si jamais il y a un pays qui soit vraiment devenu une mar-... une Babylone mar-... moderne, c’est l’Amérique. J’espère que cela n’atteindra jamais les rivages de l’Afrique ou de n’importe lequel de ces pays païens. Je souhaite que les docteurs de cet Evangile très solide y aillent pour le bien de ces–ces gens-là.
| E-3 And now, I was going to begin the meeting to just merely come and have an evangelistic service. I have noticed so much in my meetings going around, that the phenomenal--phenomena of this way of the Holy Spirit moves in the meetings has been very strange to the American people, because that there's such a mix up among the American people: So many different denominations with so many different phases of which a way they believe. And they become so indocumated with their belief and--till they hardly know which a way to go.
If there ever was a place that's really has become a mar--modern Babylon, it's America. I hope that it never touches the shores of Africa or any of those heathen countries. I hope that real hard Gospel teachers get in there for tho--those people.

E-4 Eh bien, qu’est-ce qui est à la base de ces choses? Des enfants de Dieu affamés, les gens ont faim et soif de Dieu. Ils voient quelque chose, ils s’en vont et en tirent une conclusion. Ça y est: Cela sépare la fraternité, cela déchire l’église. Mais c’est l’Amérique.
Et depuis mon retour, j’ai déclaré que je voudrais, dans mes réunions en Amérique, pour des dizaines de milliers de mes précieux amis que j’apprécie de tout mon coeur, certains des gens les plus aimables que Dieu a dans Son Royaume, que je considère comme mes amis, sont en Amérique... Des milliers et des milliers d’entre eux, le Seigneur me les a donnés. Et j’apprécie vraiment chacun d’eux de tout mon coeur.
Et alors, je me disais, après avoir parcouru ce pays, j’ai constaté que l’une des choses les plus glorieuses... des difficultés que j’ai rencontrées dans mes réunions... Quand je prie pour les malades par le... Le don que le Seigneur m’a donné, ce n’est pas de guérir les malades. Je n’ai pas la puissance de guérir les malades. Je ne crois pas qu’il y ait quelqu’un d’autre qui en ait. Cela relève de Dieu seul. Tout ce que je peux faire, c’est vous pointer l’oeuvre achevée par Jésus-Christ qui a payé le prix de votre rédemption et de votre guérison au Calvaire. Je ne crois pas qu’il y ait ici quelqu’un qui puisse sauver un autre.
| E-4 Well, what causes these things to start up? Hungry hearted children of God, people hungering and thirsting for God. They see something, and away they go and make an issue out of it. There it is: separates brotherhood, tears up the church. But that's America.
And I have said since coming back, that I would in the American meetings, to my many tens of thousands of precious friends that I value with all my heart, and some of the loveliest people God has in His Kingdom, I consider as my friends in America... Thousands and thousands of them the Lord has given me. And I do appreciate everyone of them with all my heart.
And then I thought, after crossing back and forth across the country, I had noticed that one of the greatest things--difficults that I have in my meeting... When I'm praying for the sick by the... The gift that the Lord has given me is not to heal the sick. I have no power to heal the sick. And I don't believe there's anyone else does. That lays in God alone. The only thing I can do is point you to the finished work of Jesus Christ Who paid for your redemption and your healing at Calvary. I don't believe there's anyone here to ever save a person.

E-5 Il n’y a pas longtemps, quelqu’un disait: «Pour la gloire de Dieu, Frère Branham, j’ai ici une fillette estropiée, j’aimerais que vous la guérissiez pour la gloire de Dieu; alors, je croirai en vous.» Et il s’est fait qu’il y avait un incroyant là à côté.
J’ai dit: «Quelle grande gloire y aurait-il à voir la fillette être guérie plutôt qu’à voir ce pécheur venir au Seigneur?» J’ai dit: «Voici un homme qui est tout à fait un pécheur, un incroyant tout fait. Sauvez-le, alors moi, je guérirai l’enfant.» J’ai dit: «Pour la gloire de Dieu... Cette fillette ira au Ciel si elle meurt dans cet état-là. Mais cet homme ne peut pas aller au Ciel dans cet état-là. Maintenant, pour la gloire de Dieu, sauvez-le, et moi, je guérirai la fillette.»
Vous y êtes. Voyez? Tout cela repose sur l’oeuvre accomplie du Seigneur Jésus-Christ. Si vous étiez un pécheur et que vous veniez ce soir, vous ne pourriez pas être sauvé ce soir. Il vous faudrait accepter votre salut qui a été acquis il y a mille neuf cents ans. Voyez? Jésus vous a sauvé quand Il mourut. C’est alors qu’Il vous a sauvé. Mais vous devez accepter cela lorsqu’Il frappe à votre coeur. Alors, vous acceptez votre salut; vous acceptez Jésus comme votre Sauveur personnel. Il a été blessé pour vos péchés, c’est par Ses meurtrissures que vous avez été guéri. Vous devez L’accepter comme votre Guérisseur sur la même base où vous L’acceptez comme votre Sauveur.
| E-5 Someone not long ago said, "For the glory of God, Brother Branham, I got a little girl here that's crippled, and I want you to heal her for the glory of God, then I'll believe you." And just so happened that there's was an infidel standing near.
I said, "What more glory would it be for the little girl to be healed than it would be for a sinner to come to the Lord?" I said, "Here stands a man that's a absolutely an unbeliever, a perfect infidel. You save him, and I'll heal the child." I said, "For the glory of God... This little girl will go to heaven if she dies in that case. But that man can't go to heaven in his case. Now, for the glory of God you save him, and I'll heal the girl."
There you are. See? It's all based on the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ. If you was a sinner, you'd come tonight you couldn't be saved tonight. You would have to accept your salvation that was paid for you nineteen hundred years ago. See? Jesus saved you when He died. That's when He saved you. But you have to accept it when He knocks at your heart. Then you accept your salvation; you accept Jesus as your personal Saviour. He was wounded for your transgressions; with His stripes you was healed. You have to accept Him as your Healer on the same basis you accept Him as your Saviour.

E-6 Si ce n’est pas ça l’Evangile, c’est que je–je ne Le connais alors pas; car c’est ça l’Evangile, aussi clair que je Le connais durant toutes ces années. Il n’y a personne qui puisse vous sauver, il ne peut que vous présenter la Parole de Dieu. C’est tout ce qu’il peut faire. C’est la Parole écrite de Dieu qu’il peut présenter. Vous agissez sur base de ce que vous croyez, que ce soit vrai ou pas.
Et aussi, c’est tout à fait pareil pour la guérison divine. Il n’y a personne qui puisse vous guérir. Même les médecins ne prétendent pas vous guérir. Ils peuvent enlever la cause, quelque chose que les sens peuvent voir ou toucher. Mais ils ne peuvent pas guérir, parce que Dieu est l’unique qui peut guérir. Nous n’avons pas de médecin qui puisse former les tissus. S’il le pouvait, il rétablirait comme ceci un bras fracturé. Voyez? Il peut... vous pouvez vous fracturer à un endroit, vous entrez au cabinet d’un médecin, et il forme un tissu et vous en sortez parfait, pimpant neuf.
Si vous entrez dans le cabinet d’un médecin avec un bras fracturé, il le remet en place, le rétablit, et le guérit complètement, vous en sortirez quelques minutes plus tard avec un bras parfaitement rétabli. Vous ne pouvez pas faire cela. Le médecin peut... Si vous avez une blessure à un endroit, il peut suturer cela. Mais si vous avez une fracture, il peut rétablir cela. Mais c’est Dieu qui guérit...?... C’est vrai.
| E-6 If that isn't the Gospel, I--I don't know it then, 'cause all these years; that's the Gospel as clear as I know. There's no man could save you; he can only present the Word of God to you. That's the only thing he could do. It's God's written Word he could present it. You act upon what you believe, whether it's true or not.
And then in Divine healing is the very same thing. There's no man could heal you. Even doctors don't claim to heal you. They can remove a cause, something that the senses can see or feel. But they can't heal, 'cause God's the only one can heal.
We haven't got a doctor that can build a tissue. If he could, he could build an arm out like this that'd been cut off. See? He could--you could cut a place up and go in the doctor's office and he'd build up a tissue and you'd come back out perfectly brand new.
You go in a doctor's office with a broken arm, he'd set it together, and mend it together, and heal it over, come back out in a few minutes, your arm be perfectly whole. You can't do that. The doctor can... If you got a place cut, he can sew it up. If you got a place broke, he could set it. But God does the healing...?... That's right.

E-7 Donc, c’est Dieu qui est le Guérisseur. Et Dieu est le Sauveur. Psaume 103.3 dit: «Je suis l’Eternel qui pardonne toutes tes iniquités et qui guérit toutes tes maladies.» Cela doit donc venir de Dieu.
Et maintenant, nous aimerions aborder cela, mon ami, en tout bon sens, avec respect et suivant les Ecritures. Cela doit provenir des Ecritures. Et si ce n’est pas scripturaire, et que la réunion n’est pas tenue sur des bases strictement bibliques et scripturaires, alors c’est faux. C’est juste un montage mythique, mais ce n’est pas réel.
Cela doit donc être scripturaire. Nous devons aborder cela avec bon sens, avec respect et avec foi, croyant cela.
| E-7 So God is the Healer. And God is the Saviour. Psalms 103:3 said, "I'm the Lord Who forgiveth all thy iniquities and healeth all of thy diseases." So it has to come through God.
And now we want to approach this my friend sanely, reverently, and Scripturally. It must come from the Scriptures. And if it's not in the Scriptures and the meeting is not carried on absolutely Biblical and Scripturally, then it's wrong. It's just some make-up, mythical, but not real.
So it must come Scripturally. We must approach it sanely, and reverently, and faithfully to believe it.

E-8 Eh bien, dans les réunions telles qu’elles se déroulent, eh bien, j’ai constaté que les gens se posent souvent des questions pourquoi je ne peux pas prendre beaucoup plus que ce que je prends. C’est à cause de la faiblesse, pas la faiblesse physique. Je suis... Je rends grâces au Seigneur de ce que je suis très fort physiquement. Mais quand on en arrive à la prédication ou ce que je... Je pense que je peux prêcher trois ou quatre services par jour, sans faire cas de cela, sans devenir faible.
Mais une fois en vision, cela me tue. Assurément, les chrétiens peuvent comprendre cela. Voyez? Ce n’est pas moi qui accomplis l’oeuvre. C’est vous même. C’est vous qui faites cela, votre foi en Dieu. Moi, je me tiens simplement comme Son serviteur. Et alors, quand votre foi est édifiée au point de tirer Dieu... Et Dieu ne fait que se servir de mes lèvres pour vous dire ce qu’Il veut dire. Comprenez-vous?
| E-8 Now, in the meetings as they go on, now I have noticed that many times people in wondering why that I can't get to no more than what I do. It's because of weakness, not weak physically. I'm, thank the Lord, very strong physically. And when it comes to a place of--of preaching or to what I... I guess I could preach three of four services a day and not pay any attention to it, as far as being weak.
But one time of a vision will pull the life from me. Surely Christians can understand that. See? It's not me that does the work. It's you yourself. You're the one who does it, your faith in God. I just stand as His servant. And then, when your faith is built to a place till it pulls from--pulls God... And God only uses my lips to say to you what He would say. Do you understand?

E-9 Quand une femme toucha le bord du vêtement du Maître... Eh bien, elle s’est dit dans son coeur: «Si je peux toucher cela, je serai guérie.» Elle s’est faufilée dans la cour.
Et Jésus s’est retourné et a dit: «Qui M’a touché?»
Et les apôtres étaient très, très étonnés. En effet, l’un Lui a dit: «Tout le monde cherche à Te toucher, Te touche»
Il a dit: «Mais Je me suis senti faible. La vertu est sortie de Moi, Je me suis senti faible.» Comprenez-vous? Une seule personne, ça L’a affaibli.
Et alors, Il s’est mis à suivre l’origine de ce flot en promenant Son regard, Il a repéré la femme. Il a dit: «Ta foi t’a sauvée»; pas «Ma puissance t’a sauvée», mais «ta foi» dans ce qu’Il était. Car elle disait qu’elle croyait ce qu’Il était.
| E-9 When the woman touched the hem of the master's garment... Well, she thought in her heart, "If I could do that, I'll be made whole." And she slipped off out of in the yard.
And Jesus turned around and said, "Who touched Me?"
And the apostles was very much astonished, 'cause he said, "Everybody's trying to touch Him--touching You."
He said, "But I perceive that I have gotten weak. Virtue's went out from Me, gotten weak." You understand? One person, gotten weak.
And so he begin to following where that flow was coming from, and as He looked around, He found the woman. He said, "Thy faith has saved thee"; not, "My power has saved thee"; but, "Thy faith in believing what He was." For she said she believed what He was.

E-10 Eh bien, celui–celui qui L’avait giflé au visage, alors qu’on avait mis un lambeau autour de Son visage, il L’a giflé sur la tête et a dit: «Eh bien, si Tu es un Prophète, dis-nous qui T’a frappé. Nous croirons en Toi.» Ils n’ont pas senti de vertu sortir là. Il n’avait pas senti de vertu. C’était l’incrédulité. Vous devez croire. «Celui qui s’approche de Dieu doit croire que Dieu existe.»
Eh bien, vous pouvez vous approcher de Dieu. Comment? Il n’y a qu’un seul Médiateur. C’est Jésus-Christ. Mais le prédicateur est envoyé pour prêcher la Parole. Vous pouvez entendre le prédicateur et venir à Dieu par le message du prédicateur. Pendant que le prédicateur est en train de prêcher la–la Parole de Dieu, le Saint-Esprit qui est dans votre coeur se nourrit de la Parole de Dieu. Comprenez-vous ce que je veux dire?
| E-10 Now, the one--the one that smacked Him in the face when He had a rag around His face, and he hit Him on the head, said, "Now, you're a prophesier; tell us who hit you. We'll believe you." They felt no virtues going--he felt no virtue going there. It was unbelief. You must believe. "He that cometh to God must believe that He is."
Now, you can come to God. How? There's only one Mediator. That's Jesus Christ. But the minister's sent to preach the Word. And you can hear the minister and come to God through the minister's message. While the minister's preaching the--the Word of God, the Holy Spirit that's in your heart will feed on the Word of God. You get what I mean?

E-11 Eh bien, c’est pourquoi, ce n’est pas... qui cause la faiblesse. Et c’est pour tout un chacun.
Tenez, chaque soir... chaque jour, nous distribuons des cartes de prière; chaque jour, on recommence, de la sorte, chaque personne peut recevoir une carte de prière pour venir. Soit que vous entriez dans la réunion, soit que vous ayez... Mais vous devez venir au service de l’après-midi pour les instructions. La carte de prière doit être détenue par celui qui la reçoit. En effet, la personne doit premièrement venir à la réunion, ensuite recevoir les instructions avant de pouvoir recevoir une carte de prière, laquelle n’est pas interchangeable. Donc, la personne elle-même, pas quelqu’un qui n’a jamais suivi la réunion, qui n’en sait rien, qui arrive à la réunion, celui-là ne pourra jamais être guéri, parce qu’il ne sait pas comment s’y prendre. Vous devez savoir comment vous approcher de Dieu pour la guérison, de même que vous le faites pour le salut.
| E-11 Now, so therefore it's not... That what brings the weakness on. And it's for each and every one.
Here each night... Every day we give out prayer cards, every day afresh, so everybody can get a prayer card to come. Whether you've come in, in the meeting or whether you've... But you must come for the afternoon service for instructions. The prayer card must be carried by the person who receives it. Because the person must first come to the meeting then have instructions before they can receive a prayer card, inexchangeable. So the person themself, not somebody that never heard of meeting, knows nothing about it come into the meetings, they'd never be able to receive healing, because they don't know how to do it. You must know how to approach God for healing, like you do with salvation.

E-12 Donc, une fois de plus, cela... ce n’est pas un contact personnel. Le prédicateur, ce n’est pas pour un contact personnel. C’est l’unique chose qui a dérangé le peuple américain, et mon propre ministère aussi. Ils croient qu’on doit leur imposer les mains ou quelque chose de ce genre, parce que c’est ce qui leur a été enseigné, surtout dans le milieu des gens du Plein Evangile. Les nazaréens, les pèlerins de la sainteté, les méthodistes, les baptistes et les autres croient dans l’onction d’huile. C’est ce qui leur a été enseigné. Quand donc eux voient quelque chose, alors vous, vous n’avez qu’à regarder directement pour vivre, cela leur paraît un peu étrange.
Dans les pays étrangers, il suffit d’une seule chose surnaturelle, tout le groupe croit d’un–d’un commun accord (voyez?), parce qu’ils n’ont pas été endoctrinés de diverses histoires. Ils voient simplement cela et reconnaissent que ça doit être surnaturel. Ils acceptent cela tel que vous le dites. Ils ne taxent pas cela d’autre chose.
| E-12 Then again, that... It isn't a personal contact: The minister here needs to personally contact. That's one thing that's hurt the American people, and for my own ministry. They believe that they must have hands laid on them or something on that manner, because they've been taught that, especially among the Full Gospel people. The Nazarene, Pilgrim Holiness, Methodists, Baptists, so forth believes in the anointing of the oil. That's the way they've been taught. So they see something where you have to just look right and live, that's a little odd to them.
In the foreign countries, one thing in the supernatural, the whole group believes with one--one accord (See?), because they're not indocumated with different things. They just see it and know it's got to be supernatural. They accept it to be what you say it is. They don't class it nothing else.

E-13 Les Américains ont la télépathie mentale, les diseurs de bonne aventure, les liseurs de pensée. Les Juifs avaient leur théologie en ce jour-là, ils disaient: «Il est Béelzébul, le diable, leur prince, le meilleur diseur de bonne aventure du pays», tout un tas de choses semblables. Et c’est ainsi qu’ils ont manqué de Le recevoir. C’est ainsi que les Américains manquent de recevoir cela. Mais pour ceux qui croient réellement et qui s’en approchent... Peu importe où vous êtes dans la salle, si vous vous en approchez avec révérence, Cela vous parlera. C’est vrai. C’est vrai. Essayez cela et voyez si ce n’est pas vrai, avec un coeur complètement abandonné pour faire la volonté de Dieu, et promettez-Lui que vous le ferez; voyez ce qui arrive.
| E-13 The Americans have mental telepathy, fortunetellers, mind readers. The Jews with their theology in that day, they said, "He's Beelzebub, the Devil, the prince of them, the best fortuneteller in the country," all such as that. And that's the way they failed to receive Him. That's the way the American people are failing to receive it.
But to them who really believe and approach it... No matter where you're at in the building, if you'll approach it reverently it'll speak to you. That's right. That's true. Try it and see if that isn't right, with a full surrendered heart to do the will of God, and promise Him that you will, and see what happens.

E-14 Maintenant, j’ai dit que j’ai parcouru ce pays. Je n’ai point eu l’occasion de rencontrer mes amis. En effet, aussitôt que vous rencontrez quelqu’un, lorsque l’onction est là, eh bien, ce n’est plus cette personne. Eh bien, alors, le soir, je terminais avant la tombée de la nuit. Mais je me disais que je commencerais...?... Les prédicateurs ne cessent de me dire: «Oh! Frère Branham, non.» Mais en Californie, chez les Hommes d’Affaires Chrétiens, après l’Angelus Temple... (Il me faudra passer quelques soirées là, puis chez les Hommes d’Affaires Chrétiens. Que Dieu me vienne en aide.) Je me propose de prêcher juste l’Evangile sur base du Sang versé, relever la foi des gens, prier simplement pour eux, pendant qu’ils passent.
J’ai essayé cela dans mon tabernacle il y a quelques semaines. Sur environ une centaine et quelques qui sont passés dans la ligne de prière, pour qui on a prié, il y eut seize miracles extraordinaires qui ont été accomplis devant les gens qui étaient restés dans la salle (voyez?), rien que par l’imposition des mains et la prière. Seize, il y avait des cas de polio, des bras estropiés, tordus. Tout est arrivé.
| E-14 Now, I said I would go across the country. I never get a chance to meet my friends. 'Cause just as soon you meet someone when the anointing is there, well, there it is again not the person. Now, then at nighttime I finished before night comes.
But I thought I would begin to...?... Ministers keep telling me, "Oh, Brother Branham don't." But in California in the Christian Businessman, after the Angelus Temple (I've got to be there a few nights.) Then at the Christian Businessmen God helping me. I aim to just preach the Gospel on basis of the shed Blood, and bring the people up, and just pray for them as they pass by.
I tried that in my tabernacle a few weeks ago. Out of about a hundred and something people that come through the prayer line being prayed for, sixteen outstanding miracles was performed before the people left the building (See?), just by laying on the hands and praying. Sixteen, that's polio, and crippled arms, and twisted. Everything was performed.

Sur cette base-là, c’est en vue de la guérison... La foi vient de ce que l’on entend et ce que l’on entend vient de la Parole de Dieu. D’abord, ça. Puis, après cela, Dieu a placé dans l’Eglise les apôtres, les prophètes, les dons de guérison, des miracles, le parler en langues, l’interprétation des langues, tous ces dons, Il les a placés dans l’Eglise pour le, en d’autres termes, pour le rassemblement en vue de l’édification du Corps du Seigneur Jésus-Christ. Dieu a placé les uns comme docteurs, évangélistes, prophètes, ceux qui opèrent des miracles, les dons de guérison... Toutes ces choses sont pour le perfectionnement de l’Eglise. C’est juste comme les membres qui sont tous actifs dans votre corps, pas juste à la Pentecôte, trente-trois ans après la Pentecôte, quand l’Eglise chrétienne avait été mise en ordre. Voyez? Ces choses doivent donc continuer.

Upon the basis of that, it's the purpose for the healing... Faith cometh by hearing and hearing of the Word of God. That's first. Then after that, God has set in the Church apostles, prophets, gifts of healing, miracles, speaking with tongues, interpretation of tongues, and all those gifts He has placed in the Church for the, in other words, for the calling together for the edification of the body of the Lord Jesus Christ.
God has set some teachers, evangelists, prophets, working of miracles, gifts of healing... All those things are for the perfecting of the Church. Just like the members all active in your body, not just at Pentecost, thirty-three years after Pentecost when the Christian Church was put in order. See? Those things which to continue then.

Voilà l’objectif. Puisse Dieu vous guérir, pas juste pour vous manifester Sa puissance de guérison. Il n’a pas à le faire. Si vous observez le coucher du soleil, vous pouvez voir Sa gloire. Si vous observez les arbres croître, vous pouvez voir Sa gloire. Ecoutez les oiseaux chanter. Ils ne–ils ne sèment pas, ils ne–ils ne plantent pas non plus, mais ils... Dieu les nourrit. Vous pouvez voir la gloire partout.
Mais c’est afin que le témoignage de votre guérison soit pour la gloire, afin que vous puissiez le raconter à quelqu’un d’autre, pour qu’eux aussi puissent croire au Seigneur Jésus-Christ comme leur Sauveur. C’est dans ce but-là.
| E-16 Now, come and pray with us. I love you. And I'm here with all my heart to try to help you, try to help you to make your home a better place to live, to make the community you live in a horrible place to do evil and an easier place to do right. That's the idea. That God would heal you, not just to show His power for healing. He doesn't have to do that. Look at the sunset; you can see His glory. Look at the trees growing. You can see His glory. Listen at His birds sing. They don't--they don't sow, neither do they--do they plant, but they... God feeds them. You can see the glory anywhere.
But that your testimony of healing might be to the glory, that you might tell someone about it, that they too might believe on the Lord Jesus Christ as their Saviour. That's what it's for.

E-17 Maintenant, dans cette Sainte Parole, je parlais avec frère Ballard, l’un des–des présidents, je suppose, du comité qui nous a fait venir ici... Nous causions un peu tout à l’heure, juste avant de venir à la réunion. Et je vais essayer de réarranger quelque chose pour quelques soirées. Et j’aimerais que vous priiez pour moi.
Maintenant, Ceci est la Parole de Dieu. Je crois que chaque Parole de Ceci est la Vérité. Et maintenant, avant... Nous–nous pouvons ouvrir les pages comme ceci, mais il faut le Saint-Esprit pour nous ouvrir la Parole. En effet, nous sommes–nous sommes–nous sommes aveugles dans un monde de ténèbres, il n’y a que Christ qui puisse accomplir ces choses pour nous.
Ainsi donc, avant de nous approcher de Dieu, faisons... avant d’aborder Sa Parole plutôt, approchons-nous de l’Auteur de cette Parole et demandons-Lui de bien vouloir nous L’ouvrir, afin que nous, Ses enfants, nous puissions L’examiner tranquillement, avec bon sens, et à fond. Voudriez-vous le faire pendant que nous inclinons la tête juste un instant pour la prière?
| E-17 Now, in this blessed Word, talking with Brother Ballard, one of the--the chairman, I suppose, of the committee that has us here... We were talking a little while ago, just before coming to the meeting. And I'm going to try to rearrange something for a few nights. And I want you to pray for me.
Now, this is the Word of God. I believe every word of It to be the truth. And now, before... We--we could open the pages like this, but it takes the Holy Spirit to open the Word to us. Because we're--we're--we're blind in a dark world, and only Christ can do these things for us.
And so before we approach Him, let's... Before we approach His Word, rather, let us approach the Author of this Word and ask Him if He'd just open it up to us, that we as children can look into It quietly, sanely, and fundamentally. Will you do it while we bow our heads just a moment in prayer?

E-18 Notre Bien-aimé Sauveur, nous sommes très contents ce soir de ce que nous pouvons dire du fond de nos coeurs, avec le témoignage de la Parole et du Saint-Esprit, que Tu es notre Sauveur. Car notre esprit rend témoignage à Ton Esprit que nous sommes fils et filles de Dieu. Ce que nous serons sera manifesté tout à la fin, lorsque le monde n’existera plus. Mais nous savons que nous aurons un corps semblable au Sien, car nous Le verrons tel qu’Il est. Quelle glorieuse espérance et avec joie dans notre coeur! Comment pouvons-nous nous sentir mal tout en croyant cela? Un jour, nous Le rencontrerons, nous Le verrons, nous Le toucherons. Qu’est-ce que ce sera? Alors, nous serons assis au Souper des noces. Il passera et, de Ses mains percées par des clous, Il essuiera les larmes de nos yeux, Il ôtera toutes les souffrances et tout le chagrin, et nous entrerons dans les joies du Seigneur qui ont été préparées depuis la fondation du monde.
Ô Dieu, que chaque homme et chaque femme ici présents ce soir s’emparent de cette promesse et la croient de tout leur coeur. Et en croyant ainsi, qu’ils reçoivent la Vie Eternelle. Car nous le demandons en Son Nom. Amen.
| E-18 Our beloved Saviour, we are so happy tonight, because that we can say from our hearts, by the witness of the Word and the Holy Spirit, that You are our Saviour. For our spirit bears witness with Yours, that we're sons and daughters of God. It does not yet appear just what we'll be at the final wind-up, when this world is no more. But we know that we'll have a body like His, for we're going to see as He is. What glorious hope and with joy in our heart, how could we feel bad and believe that? That someday we're going to meet Him and see Him, touch Him. What would it be? And setting at the wedding supper, come, take His nail pierced hands, wipe the tears from our eyes, take away all suffering and sorrow, entering into the joys of the Lord that's been prepared since the foundation of the world.
God, let every man and woman in here tonight lay hold on that promise, and believe with all their heart. And by believing so they receive Everlasting Life. For we ask it in His Name. Amen.

Now, that would... We'd want to think that that was our church. Us Methodists would want to think that's our church. We Baptists want to think that that's our church. We Presbyterians wants to think that that's our church. We Catholics wants to think it's our church. And we Pentecost wants to think it's our church. And every one of us wants to think that that's what our church is doing.
Now, friend, there's always one logical, sensible, fundamental way to seek what they had: let's go back and find out what kind of faith they had. Then if we've got that kind of faith in our church, let's contend for it. That's the truth. That's the way to do it. That's really the Scriptural and the only basic way that I would know to approach this--the subject.

Et si la sanctification vient par le Sang versé du Seigneur Jésus-Christ, Hébreux 13, versets 12 et 13, dit: «C’est pour cela que Jésus aussi, afin de sanctifier le peuple par Son propre Sang, a souffert hors de la porte.» Voyez-vous cela? C’est donc dans le Nouveau Testament qu’on trouve les saints. Combattre pour cette foi-là; en effet, c’était sous la dispensation de la grâce et non sous la dispensation de la loi.
| E-22 Now, notice it did not say, "Let us contend for the faith that was delivered to Israel in the wilderness"; "Let us contend for the faith that was once delivered unto the saints." And in order to be a saint, it had to be applied to the Christian dispensation.
Because the word "saint" comes from the word "sanctified, the sanctified one." And if sanctification comes through the shedding of the Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. Hebrews 13:12 and 13 said, "Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people, suffered without the gate." You see it? Saints then would have to be in the New Testament. Contend for that faith, because it was in the dispensation of grace and not under the dispensation of law.

| E-23 Now, then the first One to introduce the message of--or the faith would be our Lord Jesus Christ. John just introduced the Lord Jesus, and Jesus was the product of what God intended for us to contend for. He was. The--the whole of the Christian faith laid in Jesus Christ, in our faith in Him.
Now, if we can only understand what kind of a faith He taught, what kind of a faith He practiced, then we could see by that if the early church practiced the same thing. Then we should earnestly contend for that type of faith. For it's to commission to us to continue. Hold until He comes.

| E-24 Now, the first thing we find that when Jesus was born, and we know the story until it comes to the place of His--His great miraculous works setting in, or when He begin to teach after His baptism. And if we'll notice, quickly closely that God was in Christ reconciling Himself or the world to Himself.
The Bible said that God Himself dwelt in Christ Jesus." Jesus said, "The Father dwelleth in Me. So if you can find out what God thinks about mankind, you'd find out what Jesus said about mankind, and you'll know what the Father thinks about Me."
Even the Father Himself on Mount Transfiguration said, "This is My beloved Son, hear ye Him." Don't hear nothing else but Him.
Now, that... Then we'll have to find out what--what God's attitude towards... If we can find out through the life of Jesus Christ, what God's attitude was to the sinner, to the sick, to the prostitute, to the gambler, to the beggar, we can find out what God's permanent attitude is towards the same matters today.

E-25 Puisqu’Il était la manifestation de Dieu (croyez-vous cela?), Dieu exprimait Son attitude envers la création déchue à travers le Seigneur Jésus-Christ. C’est ainsi qu’Il s’est exprimé.
Et maintenant, je pense que Pierre, au chapitre 2, donne un très bon exemple de ce qu’il faut penser, quand il a dit là: «Hommes Israélites, Jésus de Nazareth, cet Homme à qui Dieu a rendu témoignage devant vous par les miracles et les prodiges qu’Il a opérés par Lui au milieu de vous, comme vous le savez vous-mêmes...» Voyez? Pierre a dit: «Vous hommes, vous devriez savoir que Ceci est le Message de Dieu pour le peuple.» Car Dieu était avec Lui, apportant Son Message au peuple et prouvant Son attitude envers la race déchue d’Adam.
| E-25 For if He was God's expression, you believe that? God was expressing His attitude towards His fallen creation through the Lord Jesus Christ. He expressed Hisself that way.
And now, I think Peter on the 2nd chapter, very well gives an example of what to think when he said there, "Ye men of Israel, Jesus of Nazareth, a Man approved of God among you by signs and wonders, which He did in your midst, which you yourself are witnesses... "See? Peter said, "Ye men ought to have known that this was God's message to the people." For God was with Him, giving out His message to the people and proving what His attitude was towards Adam's fallen race.

Beaucoup de gens se moquent de Nicodème parce qu’il était venu de nuit. Au moins, il avait fini par y arriver. C’est l’essentiel. Vous qui vous êtes moqué de lui, avez-vous fait autant que lui? Lui avait fini par y arriver. Il vint de nuit, et il dit au Seigneur: «Rabbi, nous (Qui? Nous, c’est qui? Les Juifs, le sanhédrin), nous savons que Tu es un Docteur venu de Dieu, car personne ne peut faire les miracles que Tu fais si Dieu n’est avec lui. Nous le savons.» Mais à cause du préjugé, à cause de l’affiliation à l’église, à cause de la superstition, à cause du manque de connaissance spirituelle, ils ne pouvaient pas L’accepter. «Nous savons que Tu es un Docteur (Nous le savons.) venu de Dieu, car personne ne peut faire les oeuvres que Tu fais si Dieu n’est avec lui.» Cela décrit bien l’attitude du sanhédrin vis-à-vis du public.
| E-26 I think Peter explained it good to the church. I think Nicodemus gave a very good description of what the Sanhedrin thought of the Lord Jesus. Nicodemus, the man, the ruler who came to Him by night...
Many people laugh because he came by night. But he finally arrived. That's the main thing. You who laughed at him, have you done as good as he did? He finally arrived there. He came by night, and he said to the Lord, "Master, we (Who? Who's we? The Jews, the Sanhedrin.) we know that Thou art a Teacher come from God, For no man could do the miracles that You do, except God be with him. We know it." But because of prejudice, because of church affiliation, because of superstition, because of lack of spiritual knowledge, they could not accept Him. "We know that Thou art a Teacher (We know it.) come from God for no man can do the things that You do, except God be with him." That well describes the attitude of the Sanhedrin to the public.

Il était habillé comme un homme ordinaire. Est-ce vrai? Il marchait parmi les hommes. Nous ne pourrions pas chercher un quelconque grand théologien et un érudit, quelqu’un qui a un gros tas de diplômes honorifiques et autres, parce qu’Il n’en avait aucun; jamais.
| E-27 Now, notice we'll find out what Jesus presented. In the beginning of His ministry He wasn't a Man of great dress. He wasn't a Man to make Himself conspicuous, any different from any other man. He dressed so much like other people, He could walk among men and they didn't know Who He was.
So if we was going to look for the right Jesus in Phoenix tonight, we could not look to a person that's dressed some different in a clerical way. He'd be dressed like an ordinary man. Is that right? He'd just walked among men. We couldn't looked for some great theologian and scholar, with some great amount of honorary degrees and so forth behind His Name, because He never had one.

E-28 Considérez Nicodème, il est venu auprès de Lui. Nicodème était un érudit, il est venu auprès d’un Homme sans diplôme. Nicodème était un aristocrate, il est allé auprès d’un pauvre. Il était un vieux docteur, il est allé auprès d’un Jeune Homme. Voyez-vous la différence? Mais en allant, il avait le coeur ouvert, cherchant la vérité. Venez comme cela. Venez de même, avec un coeur ouvert, cherchant la Vérité. «Cherchez, et vous trouverez; frappez et l’on vous ouvrira; demandez, et vous recevrez.» C’est ça. C’est sur cette base que Jésus a dit de venir.
Maintenant, Jésus, quand Il était ici, Il–Il était un Homme ordinaire et humble. Il n’était pas un bri... un fougueux prédicateur. Il est dit que Sa voix ne se faisait même pas entendre dans les rues. Il était juste un homme ordinaire. Mais Il avait quelque chose qui faisait que les gens se rendaient compte que ces atouts, les vertus qui étaient en Lui, dépassaient ce qu’il y avait dans un homme ordinaire. Ils reconnaissaient cela.
| E-28 Look at Nicodemus coming to Him. Nicodemus was a scholar coming to a Man that had no diploma. He was aristocrat coming to a pauper. He was an old teacher coming to the youth. See the difference? But when he come, he come with a open heart seeking the truth. You come that way. Just come the same way with a open heart seeking truth. "Seek and ye shall find; knock, it'll be opened; ask and ye shall receive." That's it. That's the basis that Jesus said to come on.
Now, Jesus when He was here He--He was a humble ordinary Man, not so much as a brea--great fiery preacher. He said His voice was not even heard in the streets. He was just an ordinary man. But there was something about Him, that people realized that those things, qualities that was in Him was beyond the ordinary man. They knew it was.

Eh bien, alors, Nathanaël était un aristocrate, un homme juste, un fervent croyant; il a aussitôt réagi et a demandé: «Peut-il venir de Nazareth quelque chose de bon?»
| E-29 Why, as they... And I've just said that He was God's example for all Christians. And He was God's desire. He was God's Gift. And frankly, in Himself He was God Himself, presenting the faith to the people.
Now, we see Him... Oh, I just love this part here, to watch what He done. What did He do that was different?
We notice in the first beginning of His ministry when He first started out, there was a man by the name of Philip got converted. So he goes out and finds Nathanael right quick, and said for Nathanael to, "Come, see Who I have found, Jesus of Nazareth, the Son of Joseph."
Well now, Nathanael was aristocratic upright man, very much of a believer, and he turned around quickly, said, "Could there be any good thing come out of Nazareth?"

Si vous mangez un steak ce soir, une vache a dû mourir afin que vous, vous puissiez vivre. Si vous mangez des pommes de terre, le ta... des pommes ont dû mourir. Si vous mangez des choux frisés, cela doit mourir. Quelque chose a dû mourir pour produire la vie. C’est pourquoi, avec votre foi froide, formaliste et intellectuelle, vous ne pouvez pas recevoir Jésus-Christ. Vous devez mourir pour naître de nouveau et vivre à nouveau et aller au-delà (voyez?), pas de la corruption.
| E-30 Oh, friends, you don't understand... Now, to some of you people that just want to go to a big church because it's a big beautiful building and wouldn't come to a place, regardless of how much you thought God was there, just because it's amongst a poor bunch of illiterate people, let me show you how wrong you are.
Did you realize that only through death can life come? Do you know that out of corruption comes life? Did you know even your natural life comes out of corruption? Everything you eat is dead substance to bring blood cells? If you eat a steak tonight, a cow died so you could live. If you eat a potato, the ta--potato died. If you eat kale greens, it died. Something has to die to produce life. That's the reason you cold formal intellectual faith, you can never receive Jesus Christ. You've got die in order to be borned again and live again, going beyond (See?), not of corruption.

E-31 Philippe a dit, ou plutôt Nathanaël a dit: «Peut-il venir de Nazareth quelque chose de bon?»...?...
Eh bien, je pense que Nathanaël, en posant cette question, a reçu de Philippe la meilleure réponse qui puisse être donnée, quand il lui a été dit: «Viens, et vois.» Ne reste donc pas là à critiquer, viens simplement et vois. Viens toi-même. C’est la meilleure façon de s’y prendre. Cela règle la question, n’est-ce pas? Viens, et vois de toi-même. C’est une très bonne réponse.
Qu’arriva-t-il donc? Nathanaël, étant sincère, a suivi Philippe. Et quand il est arrivé... Oh! On pourrait dire beaucoup ici, mais–mais faute de temps...

Now, I think Nathanael asking that question, Philip gave him the best thing that could be given, said, "Come and see." Don't stand off out here and criticizing now, just come over and find out. You come over yourself. That's the best way it is. That settles it, doesn't it? Come, see for yourself, very good answer.
So what happened? Nathanael being honest hearted, he followed Philip. And when he come... Oh, so much could be said here, but--but for the cause of time.

Je peux voir Nathanaël dans tout son bon sens. Il est entré dans l’auditoire et, la première chose, vous savez, Jésus se tenait là en train de parler, de prier pour les malades, ou je ne sais quoi Il faisait généralement. Et environ quatre-vingt pour cent de Son ministère, c’était la prière pour les malades. Je suppose donc qu’Il pouvait être en train de prier pour les malades, comme beaucoup de gens venaient pour qu’on prie pour eux.
| E-32 Look. When he came, and he came up into the line, or into the audience. Might been in the prayer line, it might have been out in the audience, out there somewhere. But when Philip walked up, "I want to find out now if I can introduce Nathanael to--to Jesus."
And I can see Nathanael as mentally thinking. He walked up in the audience, and the first thing you know, Jesus standing there talking, praying for the sick, or whatever He usually His procedure was. About eighty percent of His ministry was praying for the sick. So I suppose He might've been praying for the sick, having a lot of people coming by praying for them.

E-33 Et, tout d’un coup, je m’imagine que Nathanaël a dit: «Eh bien, cet Homme est un peu différent des scribes ordinaires. Il ne cherche pas à s’habiller avec fantaisies. C’est juste un Homme ordinaire.» Peut-être... j’aime sa façon de parler.
Et alors qu’il pensait à ces choses, Jésus s’est retourné, l’a regardé et a dit: «Voici un Israélite dans lequel il n’y a point de fraude.» En d’autres termes, selon la version chrétienne anglaise, il dirait: «Voici un croyant sincère.» Eh bien, Nathanaël s’est dit: «Eh bien, un instant; moi, je viens de l’autre côté de la montagne.» Peut-être que ça a commencé la veille. «Eh bien, mon ami Philippe, qui s’était converti, est venu me parler. Maintenant, me voici ici, et cet Homme me dit que je suis un croyant, et que je suis un homme honnête, ce qui est vrai.» Il a dit: «Rabbi, vraiment? Comment as-Tu su cela? Comment as-Tu su quelque chose à mon sujet? Je Te suis inconnu.»
Eh bien, que faisait Jésus? Il présentait au monde ce que Dieu voulait que le monde ait, la foi pour laquelle Jude a dit qu’il faut combattre.
| E-33 And all at once I imagine that Nathanael said, "Well, that Fellow is just a little different from the ordinary scribe. He doesn't try to dress so fancy. And He's just an ordinary looking man." Maybe... "I like His talk."
And when he got to thinking those things, Jesus turned around, looked at him, and said, "Behold, an Israelite in whom there is no guile." In other words in the Christian, English version of it today, He would say, "Behold there is a believer who's honest."
Well, Nathanael thought, "Now, wait a minute; I just come from over here on the other side of the mountain." Maybe started day before. "Now, Philip my friend who got converted, come over and told me. Now, here I am standing here, and the man tells me I'm a believer. And I'm a truthful man, which that's right." He said, "Rabbi, You mean me? How did You know that? How do You know anything about me? I'm a stranger to You."
Now, what was Jesus doing? Introducing to the world what God wants the world to have, the faith that Jude said to contend for.

Et Jésus a dit: «Avant que Philippe t’appelât, quand tu étais là sous l’arbre, je t’ai vu.» C’était réglé.
Il a dit: «Tu es le Fils de Dieu, Tu es le Roi d’Israël.» C’était réglé.
| E-34 Well, I can imagine some of them standing around, say, "Uh-huh. He read his mind. That's what he did." See?
He said, "How did You know me?" Now, look how impossible this would be nearly. Jesus said... Now, he was wondering in his mind. "It couldn't have been telepathy." So he was wondering then, "How did that Man know that?"
And Jesus said, "Before Philip called you when you was under the tree over there, I saw you." That's settled it.
He said, "Thou art the Son of God; Thou art the King of Israel." That settled it.

E-35 Je peux me représenter les pharisiens dire: «Eh bien, ça là, Il l’a su. Eh bien, il y a une supercherie quelque part là. Il doit y avoir quelque chose là.» Cet homme... C’est par la foi que vous êtes sauvé, au moyen de la grâce, pas par les oeuvres, afin que personne ne se glorifie. Mais, rapidement, aussitôt qu’il a vu le surnaturel, il a dit: «Tu es le Fils de Dieu (c’est ce que dit le croyant), le Roi d’Israël.
Jésus a dit: «Puisse que Je t’ai dit cela, tu crois?»
Il a dit: «Oui.»
Il a dit: «Alors, tu verras de plus grandes choses que celle-ci.» En effet, c’est un croyant.
| E-35 I can imagine the Pharisees saying, "Now, there He knew that. Now, there's a trick in it somewhere. There's got to be something there." The man... And finally they drew that... They couldn't figure it out, because you cannot figure out God.
God is to be received by faith, not by knowledge. You might read the Word through, and know every Word of it, and still be lost. You cannot figure it out. It's by faith are you saved and that through grace, not of works lest any man should boast.
But quickly as soon as he seen the phenomena, he said, "Thou art the Son of God (The believer did.) the King of Israel."
He said, "Because I told you that, you believe?"
Said, "Yes."
Said, "Then you'll see greater than this." 'Cause he's a believer.

E-36 Eh bien, considérons-Le une fois de plus. C’était là la foi que Jésus présentait au monde. Eh bien, à aucun moment (Je n’ai jamais lu ça) Il a dit aux gens: «Faites-Moi venir Untel ici, et Je vous montrerai que Je peux guérir.» Il n’a jamais prétendu être un Guérisseur. Vous ne pouvez pas faire se contredire la Parole de Dieu. Jésus disait: «Ce n’est pas Moi qui fais les oeuvres, c’est le Père qui demeure en Moi. C’est Lui qui accomplit les oeuvres.»
Un jour, Il devait aller à Samarie, ou à... ou plutôt à Jéricho. Au lieu d’aller tout droit à Jéricho, il fallait qu’Il passât par la Samarie. Et quand Il est arrivé là, Il a renvoyé les disciples, c’était vers 11 heures, chercher à manger dans la ville. Et pendant que ceux-ci étaient partis, une femme (comme nous l’appelons ici) de mauvaise réputation est venue là puiser une cruche d’eau. Il vous faudra pratiquement aller une fois en Orient pour découvrir la réalité de ces choses.
| E-36 Now, let's look at Him again. That was the faith that Jesus was introducing to the world. Now, He did not at one time, did I ever read, say to the people, "Bring Me this one here, and I'll show you I can heal." He never claimed to be a Healer. You can't make the Word of God contradict Itself. Jesus said, "It's not Me that doeth the works; It's My father that dwelleth in Me. He doeth the works."
One day He had to go up to Samaria, or to--down to Jericho. Instead of going right straight down to Jericho, He had need of going by the way of Samaria. And when He got up there, He sent the disciples away, being about eleven o'clock, into the city to get some vittles. And while they was gone, a woman (as we call over here "ill famed,") came up to the place to get a jug of water. You'd almost have to go in the orients once to find out what those things really are.

E-37 Alors, Il... Elle s’est approchée pour puiser de l’eau vers 11 heures, l’avant-midi. Jésus était assis, le dos contre le mur, probablement qu’Il était assis là, regardant par terre, attendant l’arrivée de la femme. Alors, quand la femme est arrivée, c’était peut-être accompli, ce pour quoi le Père Lui avait dit de passer par là. Alors, Il a regardé la femme.
Il a dit: «Donne-Moi à boire.»
Et en ce temps-là, ils avaient la ségrégation, c’était une coutume, comme ce que nous connaissons aujourd’hui. Et elle a dit...
Elle a dit: «Eh bien, il n’est pas de coutume que vous les Juifs, vous demandiez pareille chose aux Samaritains.»
Il a dit: «Mais si tu connaissais Celui à qui tu parles, c’est toi qui M’aurais demandé à boire. Et Je t’aurais donné de l’eau que tu ne viendrais pas puiser ici.»
Eh bien, et si cette femme-là n’avait donc pas cru en Lui? Mais la conversation a continué. A mon sincère avis, Jésus cherchait à contacter l’esprit de la femme.
| E-37 So He... She come up to get the water at about eleven o'clock in the day. Jesus was setting over against the wall, probably setting there looking down, waiting for her to come. So when the woman come, that was perhaps fulfilled what the Father told Him to go by. So He looked over at the woman.
He said, "Bring Me a drink."
And they had a segregation in that day, a ritual, about like we have today. And said... She said, "Well, it's not customary for Jews to ask Samaritans such."
He said, "But if you knew Who you were talking to, you'd ask Me for a drink. And I'd give you water that you don't come here to draw."
Why, what if the woman wouldn't have believed Him then? But the conversation went on. To my honest opinion, Jesus was trying to contact the woman's spirit.

E-38 Eh bien, les Ecritures déclarent clairement qu’Il connaissait les pensées des gens. Est-ce vrai? Non pas comme un liseur des pensées. Ça, c’est du diable. Et tout ce que le diable a, c’est une imitation de ce que Dieu a. En effet, c’est Dieu qui est le Créateur, et l’unique Créateur. La danse que vous avez, elle tire ses origines en Dieu. Le diable a copié cela. Tout ce que vous voulez voir, que le diable a, c’est une imitation de ce que Dieu a. Mais Jésus a parlé à la femme jusqu’à ce qu’Il a trouvé avec exactitude sa maladie, alors Il est allé tout droit au but, et Il a dit: «Va chercher ton mari.»
Elle a dit: «Je n’ai point de mari.»
Il a dit: «C’est vrai. Tu en as eu cinq.»
Eh bien, écoutez la réponse de cette femme, comme Nicodème. Jésus, donc, Celui qui a introduit la foi chrétienne, a dit: «Tu en as eu cinq, et celui avec qui tu vis maintenant n’est pas ton mari.» Le surnaturel. Et la femme a dit: «Seigneur, je vois que Tu es Prophète. Or, je sais que quand le Messie sera venu, c’est ce qu’Il fera.» Le signe même du Messie, ce que vous taxez du diable aujourd’hui. Elle a dit: «Je sais que quand le Messie sera venu, c’est ce qu’Il fera, Il nous dira toutes choses. Mais Toi, qui es-Tu?»
Il a dit: «Je Le suis, Moi qui te parle.»
| E-38 Now, the Scriptures plainly said that He perceived their thoughts. Is that right? Not like a psychic reader. That's the devil. And everything the devil's got, he patterned off of God. 'Cause God is the Creator and the only Creator.
Dancing you have, that first started with God. The devil took it. All things you want to see that the devil's got, he counterfeited it off of God.
But Jesus speaking to the woman, till He found exactly where her trouble was, then He went right straight to the cause, and said, "Go, get your husband."
She said, "I don't have any."
Said, "That's right. You got five."
Now, listen at the woman's reply like Nicodemus. Jesus now, the Introducer of the faith of the Christian, said, "You had five, and the one you have now is not your husband." Supernatural... And she said, "Sir, I perceive that You're a prophet. Now, I know Messiah when He comes, He will do these things." The very sign of the Messiah, what you call "the devil" today. Said, "I know that when Messiah cometh, He will do these things, tell us all things. But Who are You?"
He said, "I'm He that speaks to you."

E-39 Le signe même du Messie. La femme samaritaine a reconnu cela. Elle a dit: «Je sais que quand le Messie sera venu, ce sera là le signe du Messie, c’est ce qu’Il fera.» Eh bien, ami, si Jésus est le Messie... Croyez-vous cela? S’Il est ressuscité d’entre les morts, Il est le même hier, aujourd’hui et éternellement. Alors, ne fera-t-Il pas la même chose? Voyez?
Elle a dit: «Quand le Messie sera venu, c’est ce qu’Il fera.»
Il a dit: «Je Le suis, Moi qui te parle.»
Elle est entrée dans la ville en courant, disant: «Venez voir un Homme qui m’a dit tout ce que j’ai fait; ne serait-ce point le Messie même?» Il ne lui avait pas tout dit. Il lui avait seulement dit cela. Mais si Dieu avait pu lui montrer cela, Dieu pouvait tout lui montrer. C’était le Messie.
| E-39 The very sign of the Messiah. This Samaritan woman knew that. Said, "I know when the Messiah cometh, that'll be the Messiahic sign, that He will do these things."
Well, friend, if Jesus being the Messiah... You believe that? And if He raised from the dead, is He the same yesterday, today, and forever? Then won't He do the same thing? See?
Said, "When the Messiah cometh, He will do these things."
He said, "I'm He that speaks with you."
And she ran into the city, said, "Come, see a Man Who told me everything I ever done. Isn't this the very Messiah?" He never told her all things. He just told her that. But if God could show Him that, He could show Him all things. That was the Messiah.

E-40 La petite femme qui toucha le bord de Son vêtement fila vite dans l’assistance. Sa foi tira ce don de Dieu. Car c’était Dieu au travers de Ses lèvres. C’est la raison pour laquelle... Voyez? Quand le Père Lui a montré une vision, cela ne L’avait pas affaibli. Mais quand la foi des gens tirait cela par Lui, c’est ce qui L’affaiblissait. Il a dit: «Je Me suis senti faible.» Il a promené Son regard, Il a vu la femme, Il lui a fait savoir que sa perte de sang était terminée, qu’elle était guérie. Il a dit: «Ta foi t’a sauvée.»
Si c’était cela Jésus à l’époque, et c’est cela la foi qu’il a enseignée, ça devrait être le même Jésus ce soir, s’Il est ressuscité d’entre les morts, parce qu’Il est le même hier, aujourd’hui et éternellement.
| E-40 The little woman that touched the hem of His garment and run out into the audience. Her faith pulled that gift of God. For He was God, through His lips. That's the reason... See? When the Father showed Him a vision, it didn't make Him weak. But when the people's faith poured it through Him, that's what made Him weak. He said, "I perceive that I've gotten weak." And He looked around, seen her, let her know that her blood issue had stopped, that she was healed. Said, "Thy faith has healed thee."
If that was Jesus then, and that's the faith that He taught, that should the same Jesus tonight, if He's raised from the dead, 'cause He's the same yesterday, today, and forever.

E-41 Puis, il y avait une fois, aux murs de Jéricho, un aveugle du nom de Bartimée; il était assis là, pleurant et mendiant. Il s’est écrié à Jésus. Peut-être qu’il y avait des milliers de gens qui suivaient Jésus; comment a-t-Il pu entendre? Certains criaient: «Ôtez-Le, Tu es un diseur de bonne aventure. Va-t-en, diseur de bonne aventure. Ôtez-Le. Il est Béelzébul. Toi!». Les sacrificateurs L’injuriaient.
Et Jésus, chargé de–de péchés du monde sur Ses épaules, allant au Calvaire, sachant qu’Il allait droit à Jérusalem mourir pour les péchés du monde... se faufilant dans cette foule-là.
D’autres criaient: «Salut! Hosanna au Roi de Jérusalem. Hosanna! Hosanna!», criant de tous côtés. Les sacrificateurs disaient: «Tu es fou. Ce gars est un sorcier. Il est Béelzébul, le diable. Il est un diseur de bonne aventure. Tenez-vous loin d’un tel Homme.» Tout avait...?
| E-41 Now, a blind man one time, at the walls of Jericho, name of Bartimaeus. He was setting there crying, begging. He cried out to Jesus. Perhaps thousands of people following Him, how could He hear? Some of them hollered, "Away with you, you fortuneteller. Away with Him. He's Beelzebub." The priests reviling Him.
And Jesus with the--with the sins of the world laying upon His shoulders and His face set to Calvary, knowing He was going straight to Jerusalem to die for the sins of the world... Pushing through that crowd.
Some of them hollered, "Hail, hosanna to the King of Jerusalem. Hosanna! Hosanna!" screaming on every side.
The priests say, "You are crazy. That guy's a witch. He's Beelzebub, the devil. He's a fortuneteller. Keep away from such a man." All that had...?...

E-42 Le vieil aveugle Bartimée a dit: «Qui–qui passe?» Alors, il s’est mis à crier: «Toi, Fils de David, aie pitié de moi.»
Pensez-vous que Jésus, probablement là loin sur la route, pouvait entendre le cri de cet homme? Pas avec toute cette foule qui poussait des cris. Mais qu’est-ce que cela a fait? Sa foi a fait que Jésus s’arrêta net sur Son chemin. Jésus s’arrêta, c’est la même chose, à mon avis, que cette femme avait faite. Il s’est retourné et a dit: «Ta foi t’a sauvée.»
Avec tout ce fardeau et toute cette préoccupation, la destinée de chaque âme qui ait jamais vécu reposait sur Ses épaules, Il le savait, Il allait offrir le sacrifice suprême, et cependant, avec toute cette pression sur Lui, la foi d’un pauvre mendiant aveugle, illettré, en lambeaux, l’a arrêté net sur Son chemin et ce dernier a reçu ce qu’il demandait. Pas un sacrificateur; ils ne croyaient pas cela. Mais un mendiant aveugle, illettré, en lambeaux; c’est ce que cela a fait. Oh! Gloire à Dieu, dans les lieux très hauts pour un tel Sauveur!
Dieu s’est humilié, Il est descendu sous forme de la chair du pécheur, Il s’est intéressé au pauvre homme qui peut habiter dans le pays. Il était devenu pauvre, afin que par Sa pauvreté nous puissions devenir riches. Oh! homme et femme ce soir, croyez en Lui. Acceptez-Le.
| E-42 Old blind Bartimaeus said, "Who--who passes?" And he started crying, "Thou Son of David, have mercy."
You think Jesus probably way out on the road there could've ever heard that man's cry? Not through all that howling mob. But what did it? His faith stopped Jesus dead still in His tracks. Jesus stopped with the same thing, to my opinion, that the woman did, and turned around, said, "Thy faith has saved thee."
With all that burden and concern, and the destination of every soul that ever lived hung on His shoulders, and He knew it, and He was going to pay the supreme sacrifice; and yet with all that pressure upon Him, the faith of a poor, illiterate, blind, ragged beggar stopped Him dead still in His tracks and received what He asked for. Not a priest, they didn't believe it. But an illiterate, blind, ragged beggar, that's what did it. Oh, praise God in the highest for such a Saviour!
God would humiliate Himself, and come down into a form of sinful flesh, and be concerned about the poor man that can live in the country. He was made poor, that through His poverty we may be rich. Oh, man and woman tonight, believe Him. Do you accept Him?

E-43 Alors, un jour, Il passait près de la piscine de Béthesda. Saint Jean 5. Et les gens disaient que... ou plutôt les Ecritures déclarent qu’une grande foule... Ecoutez attentivement. Suivez-moi donc. Une grande foule de gens infirmes étaient couchés là. Eh bien, à quoi ils ressemblaient, comment ces gens impotents... Que–qu’est-ce qui clochait en eux? Il y avait des estropiés, des aveugles, des boiteux, des gens aux membres atrophiés. Quelle foule souffrante!
Juste après que la femme avait touché Son vêtement, Il était plein de vertu; et Le voici venir, le Fils de Dieu, passant au milieu d’une foule de gens comme cela, peut-être dix fois plus que ce que nous avons dans cette salle ce soir. Ils attendaient que l’eau soit agitée. Une mère avec un enfant à tête hydrocéphale, un pauvre vieux père aveugle, quelqu’un estropié à la suite de l’arthrite était assis là, les aveugles, des lépreux et tout le reste, des gens aux membres tordus, des boiteux, des infirmes, des gens aux membres atrophiés attendaient que l’eau soit agitée...
| E-43 Now, one day He passed through the pool of Bethesda. Saint John 5. And the people said that... Or, the Scripture said, rather, that great multitudes... Listen close. Follow me now. Great multitudes of impotent folk laid there. Now, let's see what they looked like how this impotent folk... What--what's wrong with them? They were lame, blind, halt, and withered. What a mass of suffering humanity.
Just a little while after the woman had touched His garment, full of virtue, and here comes the Son of God right through a mess of people like that, perhaps ten times what's setting in this building tonight, waiting for the moving of the water. A mother with a water head baby, a poor old blind daddy, one crippled up with arthritis setting, and of blind, lepers, and everything else, twisted, lame, halt, withered waiting for moving of the water...

E-44 Et Jésus, Dieu, Emmanuel, plein de vertu, plein d’amour, plein de compassion, passait par cette assistance-là sans toucher un seul. Voyez, mes amis, vous manquez de faire la distinction entre le spirituel et le naturel.

'Cause they'd seen the phenomenal, and they failed to recognize it; because they were just lettered altogether: fundamental in doctrine, but nothing in a vindication. Amen. I hope you see it.

E-45 Remarquez, alors, ces gens passaient là comme on le fait aujourd’hui avec amour, ils parlent de l’amour. Il y a deux sortes d’amour: l’amour agapao, et l’amour phileo. L’amour agapao et l’amour phileo, l’un est divin et l’autre, terrestre. L’amour divin, il pourrait faire... Si vous voyez un homme faire passer ses bras autour de votre femme, là, l’amour agapao vous ferait tirer sur cet homme et le tuer. En effet, c’est l’amour humain que vous avez pour votre femme.
Mais l’amour phileo, l’amour de Dieu, vous ferait passer vos bras autour de cet homme et prier pour son âme perdue, si la loi le disait. Cela vous change complètement.
| E-45 Notice, now those people come by like people today with a love, they talk about love. There's two different kinds of love: Agapao love, Phileo love. Phileo love, Agapao love and Phileo love, one is Divine and the other one's earthly.
Agapao love, it would make... If you seen a man going over putting his arms around your wife, now, Agapao love would make you shoot that man to the ground and kill him. 'Cause it's human love that you love your wife that way.
But a Phileo love, the love of God, would make you put your arms around him and pray for his lost soul, if the law said it. Turns you altogether around.

E-46 Et ainsi, Jésus, plein d’amour et de compassion, passait au milieu de ces gens, avec amour et compassion... Mais, quand nous pensons: «Ce pauvre vieil homme couché là. Mais l’amour phileo, c’est de faire la volonté de Celui qui vous envoie, l’amour divin. Il a traversé la foule de tous ces gens aux membres tordus, des estropiés, des infirmes, Il est allé droit auprès d’un homme couché sur un petit grabat. Observez donc. Jésus savait... Je reviens sur celui-là donc. Jésus savait que cet homme était là; Il l’a cherché jusqu’à le repérer. Vous vous demandez pourquoi? Il a cherché du regard dans l’assistance jusqu’à ce qu’Il a trouvé cet homme, comme Il avait fait pour la femme; Il a regardé pour savoir qui avait touché Son vêtement. Quand Il a trouvé cet–cet homme, Il lui a demandé: «Veux-tu être guéri?»
Il a dit: «Seigneur, je n’ai personne pour me jeter dans l’eau. Je peux marcher. Je ne suis pas estropié. Je–je suis en forme. Mais je–j’ai une maladie chronique depuis 38 ans.» Cet homme n’a pas dit cela à Jésus, mais Jésus le savait. Alors, il a dit: «J’ai une maladie...» Cela n’allait pas le tuer. Mais il a dit: «Quand je m’avance vers l’eau, quelqu’un d’autre court peut-être plus vite que moi, ou il me dépasse simplement.»
Jésus a dit: «Lève-toi, prends ton lit et rentre chez toi.» Il a pris son lit et s’est mis en route.

But Phileo love is to do the will of Him that's send you, Divine love. He passed through that crowd of all them twisted, and lame, halt people, went right over there to a man laying on a little pallet. Now, watch; Jesus knew... I'm coming back to this one now. Jesus knew the man had been there. And He hunted around till He found that man. Wonder why? Looked all through that audience, till He found the man, like He did to the woman, looked through to find who it was touched His garment. When He found the--the man, he said, "Will thou be made whole?"
He said, "Sir, I have no one to put me in the water. I can walk. I'm not crippled. I--I'm all right. But I--I've got a disease that's been retarded for thirty-eight years." The man never said that, but Jesus knew that. So he said, "I've had a disease..." It wasn't going to kill him. But said, "When I'm coming to the water, someone can outrun me, or just steps down before me."
Jesus said, "Rise, take up your bed and go into the house." He picked up his bed and started off.

Je suis allé là à la réserve des Apaches et quelqu’un a été guéri. Il ne connaît même pas son ABC. Dieu ne regarde pas au prestige humain. Dieu considère la simplicité de la foi. C’était ça.

What would say tonight in a Divine healing service if the mayor of the city was deformed and laying here to be healed, and here stood the--the president of the United States, the governor, congressman, and all them, maybe, with cancer, or tuberculosis laying twisted and bound, laying on a cot, and God would come around and heal some poor illiterate colored woman or--or boy? See? That's the way God does it. You get what I mean?
Go up here on the Apache reservation and heal him. He don't even know his A, B's from C's. God doesn't look at human prestige. He looks at the simplicity of faith. It was there.

Read it when you go home, the 5th chapter of Saint John. Jesus said, "I can't do nothing in Myself." Did He tell the truth? He had to tell the truth. In order to be God, He had to tell the truth. His words were infallible. He said, "I can do nothing in Myself."
Therefore He didn't heal one person in Himself. He said, "I... The Father shows Me first by a vision what to do, then I go do it. Verily verily I say unto you (John 5:19), the Son can do nothing in Himself; but what He sees the Father doing; that doeth the Son likewise. The Father worketh, and I worketh hitherto."

Parce que le Père Lui avait montré quoi faire.
| E-50 Now, when Lazarus died, when he was sick Jesus left the place. He went another day's journey. And they sent for him. He went another day's journey. He just kept going. Very strange wasn't it? But then He turned when He seen the time that the Father had told Him all about the vision and what was going to happen, He turned around and said, "Our friend Lazarus is dead. And for your sake, I'm glad I wasn't there. But I go wake him."
And when He come to the grave, look, showing that the Father had showed Him, said, "Father, I thank Thee Thou hast already... But for these, I say this, because of these that's standing by." Then He said, "Lazarus, come forth." And a man that been dead four days stood upon his feet and walked again and lived. Because the Father had showed Him what to do.

Jésus est mort, Il est ressuscité et nous croyons qu’Il est ressuscité d’entre les morts. Il n’est pas mort présentement. Il est vivant. Nous cherchons à Le considérer comme mort. Mais Il est en tout cas vivant. Il est vivant.

Jesus said, "A little while and the world will see Me no more." The word there is "Kosmos," meaning the "world order." "The world will see Me no more, no more. Yet ye shall see Me."
Now, he said, "Sure, that was the disciples." See what He said.
"Ye shall see Me for I (personal pronoun), for I will be with you, even in you to the end of the world." Is that right? Who's... Now, there's got to be some world's today that won't see it. And there's got to be some "ye's" that will see it.
The Bible said in Hebrews 13:8, "Jesus Christ is the same..." Same in principle, same in power, same in love, same in compassion, "The same yesterday, today, and forever..." Is that right?
Jesus died and rose again and we believe that He rose from the dead. He isn't dead now. He's a living. We try to make Him dead. But He's alive anyhow. He's alive

Et Il a dit: «Encore un peu de temps, et le monde ne Me verra plus, mais vous, vous Me verrez, car Je serai avec vous, même en vous jusqu’à la fin du monde.» «Jésus-Christ est le même hier, aujourd’hui et éternellement.»

And you say the works is greater. Look at--look at it and see what it is. It's more. How could you do greater? It's more of it, because He could be all, in every church everywhere.
"More than this shall you do for I go to My Father." Is that right? He was to ascend up to God, before He descended again in the form of the Holy Ghost. He was going to make the atonement, then return in the form of the Holy Spirit.
And He said, "In a little while the world won't see Me no more, yet you will see Me; for I'll be with you, even in you to the end of the world: Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today, and forever."

Peter one of the key men, when he was in prison one time, all hopes was gone, bound in shackles, a Pillar of Fire, an Angel of Light came in the building and loosed the shackles off of Peter's feet and hands, opened up the door before him, and delivered him from the prison. See?
Peter was on the housetop, and a Jew not wanting to mix with the Gentiles, and God showed him a vision about noontime one day, and told him how to go up to Cornelius, because he was praying and waiting for him. Is that the same thing that Jesus did?

E-54 Paul en route vers Damas fut frappé et devint aveugle. Et là à Damas, on prêchait l’Evangile. Il y avait un homme du nom d’Ananias, qui avait reçu le Saint-Esprit, et c’était un petit pasteur du plein Evangile, du nom d’Ananias. Il avait reçu le Saint-Esprit. Il a dit: «Me voici, Seigneur.»
Il lui a dit: «Va sur la route appelée la Droite.» Il lui a donné une vision, il a dit: «Va imposer les mains à Saul, afin qu’il recouvre la vue et qu’il soit rempli du Saint-Esprit.»
Il a dit: «Seigneur, j’ai appris des choses graves à son sujet. Qu’il–qu’il menace l’Eglise, arrête les gens et tout.»
Il a dit: «Voici, il prie.» Cela avait changé les choses.
| E-54 Paul on his road down to Damascus was stricken and was blinded in his eyes. And down in Damascus, the Gospel had been preached down there. And there was a man by the name of Ananias, who had received the Holy Ghost, some little Full Gospel pastor down there by the name of Ananias. And he'd received the Holy Ghost. And he was in his room one day praying, knowing nothing about anything else. And he was a prophet. And the Lord spoke to him and said, "Ananias."
He said, "Here I am Lord."
He said, "Go up to the street called Straight. Give him a vision, and said, "Go, lay your hands upon Saul, that he might receive his sight and be filled with the Holy Ghost."
He said, "Lord, I've heard great things about him. That he--that he threatens the church, and arrest them, and so forth."
And he said, "Behold, he prayeth." That changed it.

E-55 Ananias est parti, il a parcouru les rues, peut-être d’autres avenues, jusqu’à arriver à la rue appelée la Droite. Il a longé la fontaine de la ville, il a regardé tout autour et s’est dit: «Voyons donc, selon la vision, c’était dans telle et telle maison. Il me faudra voir ça. C’est exactement là.»
Il est directement entré. Et là à l’intérieur, il y avait un homme en train de se rouler par terre, devenu aveugle pour avoir été frappé par la Colonne de Feu qui était suspendue devant lui, Elle avait brillé comme le soleil dans son éclat.
Il a dit: «Frère Saul (Amen!), le Seigneur Jésus qui t’est apparu sur la route...?... dit que Saul, ou celui qui avait eu une vision... Le Seigneur est venu m’en parler.» Vous y êtes. «Il m’a dit de venir t’imposer les mains, afin que tu recouvres la vue.»
| E-55 Here went out Ananias, up through the streets of maybe some other avenues, till he gets a street called Straight. Come down along the city fountain looking around saying, "Now, let's see. According to the vision it was a such and such a house. I'll have to look at it. There it is right there."
Walked right in. There laid a man rolling in there, blind from being stricken down from the Pillar of Fire that hung before him, Shining like the sun in its brightness. And he said, "Brother Saul (Amen.), the Lord Jesus appeared to you in the road...?... say that Saul, or the one had a vision... The Lord came, told on me." There you are. "Said for me come, lay hands upon you, that you might receive your sight."

| E-56 Now, what if his priest said, "Say, I got and old fellow across the street here for you to lay his hands on him and give him sight." He couldn't do it. He only could do what God showed him to do. Amen.
Said, "Lay your hands upon you that you might receive your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit." Hallelujah. He laid his hands upon him in obedience to the commission, what God bid him to do, the power of Jesus Christ in the resurrection. And everything God told him happened on the minute. That the way God does it yet. That's the faith that was once delivered to the saints.

E-57 Plus tard, Paul, combien de personnages nous pouvons mentionner ainsi que des choses semblables qui étaient arrivées aux saints. Paul était à bord d’une petite vieille barque. Il tanguait là sur l’eau, les gens criaient. Ils ne mangeaient pas. Ils savaient qu’ils ne reverraient plus leurs femmes et leurs familles.
Paul, tout aussi effrayé que les autres, s’est avancé dans ses chaînes. Ce vieux navire pouvait chavirer à tout moment et couler. Ça aurait été sa fin. Il n’y avait pas de lune, pas d’étoiles pendant quatorze jours et quatorze nuits, et il tanguait dans l’orage, il n’y avait pas moyen de maintenir cela, ni rien...
Le pauvre petit Paul s’est dit qu’il prierait peut-être, car il... Il n’y avait plus d’espoir. Il était un homme. Peu importe combien il connaissait Dieu, il n’y avait plus d’espoir.
| E-57 Paul later on, how many we could call of the character and such things happening with the saints. Paul was out on a little old ship. He told them not to loose from Crete. But they went out there. And fourteen days and nights, every hope that they'd ever be saved was gone. The ship was water-logged. And there it was bouncing through the waters, the people screaming. They wouldn't eat. Knowing that they'd never see their wives and families again.
Paul, just as scared as the rest of them, walking about with chains on him. Any minute the old ship would capsize and go over. That'd be the end of it. No moon and stars, fourteen days and nights, her pitching back and forth in the storm, no way to hold it nor nothing...
Little old Paul thought perhaps he'd pray through, for he... All hopes was gone. He was a man. No matter how much he was acquainted with God, all hopes is gone.

C’est pourquoi, frères, a-t-il dit, ayez bon courage, car je crois en Dieu, il en sera comme il m’a été dit.»
C’est ça la foi qui a été transmise aux saints une fois pour toutes. Paul...?... prêchant, a regardé un homme et il a vu sa foi, il a dit: «Lève-toi. Le Seigneur Jésus te guérit.»
Avez-vous cette foi-là dans votre église? Si c’est ce qui agit, alors combattez pour cela, combattez ardemment pour cela, car c’est cela la foi qui a été transmise aux saints une fois pour toutes.
| E-58 Paul went down in the bulkhead somewhere to pray and stayed all night. The next morning, this little Jew run out and said, "Be of a good cheer." What's happened? "For there stood by me this night, the Angel of God, Whose servant I am, saying unto me, 'Don't fear, Paul, you've got to be brought before Caesar; and lo, God has give all these that sail with you.' That's the faith that was once delivered to the saints. Paul...?... preaching, looked upon a man and perceived his faith and said, "Stand up. The Lord Jesus makes you whole."
Do you got that faith in your church? If that what's operating, then contend for it, earnestly contend for it, for the faith that was once delivered to the saints.

Dieu l’a manifestée par Jésus; Dieu accomplissait cela à travers Lui, par Lui, il n’y a que ce que Dieu Lui montrait. Les apôtres ont fait la même chose. Ils rencontraient des obstacles qu’ils ne pouvaient pas surmonter. Mais lorsque Dieu leur montrait quelque chose, ils allaient le faire. C’est vrai. C’est cela la foi qui a été transmise aux saints une fois pour toutes.

My faith lets me believe that He will do, somehow do tonight the same things He did when He walked the shores of Galilee.
That's the faith as far as I know it in the Bible. Jesus promised it. Jesus introduced it. Jesus lived it. God produced it through Him, out of Him, nothing but what the Father showed. The apostles did the same thing. They come against obstacles and could not do it. But when God showed them something, they went and done it. That's right. And that is the faith that was once delivered unto the saints.

Hébreux 10 dit: «Si nous refusons de croire (ou si nous péchons, c’est la même chose; le péché, c’est l’incrédulité: Celui qui ne croit pas est déjà condamné.’), si nous refusons volontairement de croire, après avoir reçu la connaissance de la Vérité, il ne reste plus de sacrifice pour le péché, sinon une attente terrible du Jugement et l’ardeur d’un feu qui dévorera les rebelles.» Est-ce vrai?

If our precious beloved Lord Jesus, the Son of God, in His resurrection power, will come into this audience tonight as a living Being in a form of--as the Holy Spirit, and will do again through you and I the things that He did here on earth, will you accept Him as your personal Saviour, and have no more doubt in your mind? If you will raise your hands and say, by raising your hands...?
You mean to tell me only one third of you will believe? What's left for you to do, but to be condemned then? You mean if the Lord Jesus Himself... How could you ever be forgiven? Let me say one word. What is the unpardonable sin? To reject truth when it's presented to you. Is that right?
Hebrews 10 said, "If we disbelieve (or sin, same thing, sin is unbelief: 'He that believeth not is condemned already.')--if we disbelieve willfully, after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sin, but a fearful looking for the judgments and fiery indignations; which shall devour the adversaries." Is that right?

E-61 Quand est-ce que cela a été pour la première fois dit à Jésus? L’incrédulité ne vous sera jamais pardonnée, après que la Vérité a été présentée. Prions.

Maybe tonight, maybe tomorrow, I don't know, but asking you if He will... And the people come up and misjudged Him, and said, "He does this by Beelzebub."
He said, "Now, whosoever speaks against the Son of man, that'll be forgiven you. But when I'm dead and raised again and you speak that, and reject that same truth through Holy Ghost, you'll never be forgiven in this world or the world to come." Is that the Gospel? That's it. That's what was presented to the saints.
Never forgiven for unbelief when the truth is presented. Shall we pray?

E-62 Notre Père céleste, sur base du Sang versé de Ton Bien-aimé Fils, le Seigneur Jésus, sur base du témoignage de Sa résurrection ici, je viens maintenant auprès de Toi pour demander le pardon et la miséricorde, pour moi-même et pour cette assistance, afin que, par Ta grâce divine, Tu regardes par-dessus tous nos péchés et–et nos mauvais comportements. Et un jour, à Phoenix, d’ici peu, et sur cette terre, il ne restera pas pierre sur pierre. Cela volera en éclats sous l’effet de la bombe atomique, pour accomplir la Parole de Dieu qui dit: «Les cieux et la terre seront totalement embrasés en ce jour-là.» Les atomes de la terre éclateront, exploseront, les hommes crieront et étendront les mains, réclamant Dieu.
Il a dit: «Je ne ferai que Me moquer et rire de vous dans votre détresse.» Quel temps! Père divin, je Te prie au Nom de Jésus de sauver les pécheurs ce soir.

Father, knowing that sin is unbelief... And I pray God that You'll wipe all unbelief out of our heart. For we realize that we're mortal beings. We're now bowing our face to the dust where we was taken from and shall return. And maybe before the sun rises in the morning, that we will have to stand in Your Presence to give an account for every idle word and everything that we've done on this earth. Knowing that in a short time... Yea, even science now it's sight, that the end shall come.
And one day through Phoenix before long, and through this earth, there won't be one stone left on another. She'll be blowed into pieces by the atomic bomb, to fulfill the Word of God that says, "The whole heavens and earth will be on fire in that day." The atoms of the earth blowing and exploding, screaming and people reaching for the--for God.
He said, "I'll only mock and laugh at you in your calamity." What a time. Father God, I pray in Jesus' Name that You'll save sinners tonight.

Mais dans votre coeur, dans votre âme, le Saint-Esprit vous a-t-Il jamais appelé à cela? Peu importe ce que dit votre esprit, quelque chose dans votre coeur croit. Sinon, vous êtes alors en dehors de Dieu, en dehors de Christ, mort, étranger à Dieu, mort dans vos offenses et vos péchés, un pécheur en route vers l’enfer.
| E-64 See, the truth shall make you free. Jesus said, "He that heareth My Word and believeth on Him that sent Me has Everlasting Life, and shall not come into condemnation, but's pass from death to Life." Because he's believed on the Son of God.
Someone else raise your... Now, you may have intellectual faith. You may believe it from the standpoint of the Word. But in your heart, in your soul, has the Holy Spirit ever called you to there? No matter what your mind says, something in your soul believes. If not, then you're outside of God, outside of Christ, dead, alienated from God, dead trespasses and sin, a sinner bound towards hell.

Vous vous rappelez quand on avait joué de la musique, quand Elie... et que l’Esprit de Dieu est venu sur lui. Il était un homme avant ce moment-là; puis il était le serviteur de Dieu après cela. Il a eu une vision. Certainement. Il vous faut d’abord avoir Dieu au milieu de cela. Voyez? C’est vrai. Le prophète était tout découragé. Il réprimandait ces mauvaises personnes qui se tenaient à ses côtés. Il a dit: «Faites venir le joueur de harpe.» Et ce dernier s’est mis à jouer, le joueur de harpe, la musique a commencé; alors, Elie est entré en esprit et il a commencé à avoir des visions. Voyez? C’est le même Dieu aujourd’hui. S’Il a aimé la musique en ce temps-là, Il aime la musique aujourd’hui. Le même Seigneur Jésus... Que le Seigneur vous bénisse maintenant.

The prophet was all discouraged. He'd been rebuking the false people who were standing by him. He said, "Bring a minstrel." And they'd begin to play, the minstrel, the music started; then Elijah got into the Spirit and begin to see a vision. See?
