Et ce soir, je suis heureux de ce que Sa grâce–s’étende même jusqu’à moi. Et par Sa grâce, un jour, je suis venu à Lui et Il m’a sauvé d’une vie de péché. Et Il m’a donné l’opportunité de prêcher l’Evangile au–à Son peuple partout, en appelant les gens à quitter une vie de péché pour une vie de salut. Et en plus de cela, Il m’a donné le grand privilège de prier pour Ses chers et bien-aimés enfants malades. Je suis heureux pour cette occasion d’être ici ce soir à fin de faire cela pour vous.
| E-1 Thank you, brother. Good evening, friends, very happy to be here tonight. I was just presented with some kind of a present. I believe it's a talking machine. Well, I'll--I'll use it a little later on. Can you hear me upon the platform all right, up and around the balcony? Okay? No, I guess, maybe, I'll have to get this thing around me. (Thank you, brother.) Now, is that better? Can you hear up there now, around the side? All right. That's fine. All right, sir. So we'll set this one back.
Well, we're happy to be here tonight to greet you again in the Name of the lovely Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God. And I am happy tonight that His grace to--extends even to me. And by His grace, I one day came to Him and He saved me from a life of sin. And He give me the opportunity to preach the Gospel to the--His people everywhere, calling them to a life of salvation, out of a life of sin. Along with that He gave me the great privilege of praying for His dear beloved sick children. And I'm happy for that opportunity to be here tonight to do that for you.

E-2 Et je regrette tellement... Billy... Ils sont venus me prendre il y a quelques instants, et notre manager n’est pas encore là. Je n’y suis pas habitué, et cela me fait basculer dans la ligne de prière pour les malades et ainsi de suite; en effet, c’est une–c’est une double onction; c’est quelque chose de différent.
Et frère Thoms est un très puissant orateur. Je le connais depuis longtemps, et–depuis que nous étions en Afrique. Et si je comprends bien, sa femme est ici. Je ne sais pas si j’ai déjà rencontré la soeur ou pas. J’espère que j’y arriverai. Et soeur Thoms, madame Branham cherche à ce que vous passiez, aussitôt après que le service sera terminé, et que vous veniez tous par là. Et j’aimerais voir ce petit garçon à qui on a donné mon nom, le petit William. Ainsi, nous pouvons probablement, peut-être vous voir avant notre départ pour Zurich. | E-2 And I'm very sorry... Billy... They come got me a few moments ago, and our manager isn't here yet. So I may have to hire somebody sure enough. And at this time, our Dr. brother, Brother Thoms here from South Africa will... Tomorrow night, if Brother Moore isn't here, will you give us the message before coming in? And it makes the meeting a little hard on me to try to stand up here to--to speak to you, and then go ahead with the other service too. I'm not used to it, and it throws me out on the line of praying for the sick and so forth, 'cause it's a--it's a dual anointing; it's something different.
And Brother Thoms is a very forceful speaker. I've knowed him for a long time, and--since we were in Africa. And I understand that his wife's here. I don't know whether I ever met the sister or not. I hope to get to do that. And Sister Thoms, Mrs. Branham is looking for you to come by, soon as the service is over, and you all come that way. And I want to see that little boy that was named after me, little William. And so, we'll probably, maybe be able to see you before going to Zurich. We just got one day to leave here and get to Zurich, to New York to go to Zurich.

E-3 Bon, demain, n’est-ce pas que... Vous savez, c’est... La moitié de la série de réunions est déjà passée, veuillez y penser. Je crois que jusque là celle-ci a été l’une des plus courtes des longues réunions que j’ai tenues. Il me semble avoir commencé il y a à peine deux jours. Vous êtes vraiment des gens merveilleux, vous venez la nuit, vous vous asseyez en plein air et vous écoutez. Et–et le manager n’est pas ici pour vous prêcher, supportez donc que je bave et que je n’arrête pas...
Vous savez, je mange beaucoup de nouveaux raisins de Canaan, et cela vous fait beaucoup baver, vous savez. Mais...?... J’essaie donc de prendre sa place, ainsi de suite, et ensuite, je tiens les lignes de prière, cela rend certainement la chose un peu difficile. Ainsi, priez pour nous, et ce soir j’essaierai juste de parler pendant quelques instants afin d’entrer dans l’esprit de la réunion, juste pour avoir la touche de l’Esprit et ce sur quoi tout cela est basé, et ensuite je vais–je vais... Nous formerons ensuite une ligne de prière, et nous commencerons à prier pour les malades.
| E-3 Now, tomorrow, didn't... You know, this is... Half the meeting is already gone, would you think of it? This has been one of the shortest long meetings I believe I've ever had, so far. Seem like I just started couple days ago. You're such a lovely people, come out at nighttime, set out in the open air, listen. And--and the manager not here to preach to you, and put up with my slobbering and going on...
You know, I eat a lot of new grapes out of Canaan, and it causes you to slobber a lot, you know. But...?... So I trying to take his place, and so forth, and then hold the prayer lines, and it certainly makes it kindly hard. So you pray for us, and tonight I'll try just to speak a few moments to get aligned up with the meeting, just the feel of the Spirit and where it's all seated at, and then I'll--I'll... We'll form a prayer line then, and start praying for the sick.

E-4 Et je me demande vraiment, pendant que nous parlons comme ceci, ne pensez-vous pas qu’un soir nous devrions simplement venir et–et... Généralement, lorsque–on viendra une soirée, pas pour le discernement, on alignera simplement tous ceux qui ont des cartes de prière et on priera pour eux. Je pense que cela pourrait donner à chacun la possibilité d’entrer dans la ligne de prière, ceux qui veulent avoir... les cartes, ceux qui les détiennent. Et nous sommes obligés de prendre à chaque fois quelques cartes dans ce genre de ligne. Et alors, cela donnera à chacun l’occasion de venir et–et d’entrer–d’entrer dans la ligne de prière. Et bientôt, nous nous attendons à ce que quelque chose arrive, alors je pourrai donc être en mesure d’aller directement prier pour les gens.
Si seulement vous saviez, mon cher et précieux ami, ce que ça représente que de passer par les choses qu’on a dans une vision! Je suis moi-même à la base de cela, ce n’est pas–pas... Je n’opère pas cela de moi-même, mais cela vient. Simplement je... Et les gens dépendent de cela, et j’ai continué; et maintenant je ne suis même plus en mesure de tenir une réunion sans cela. Et si seulement vous saviez ce par quoi on passe. Imaginez simplement que vous entrez dans un autre monde, vous retournez trente, quarante ans en arrière dans la vie de quelqu’un, pendant que vous regardez quelqu’un... Et vous savez que votre voix arrive ici à Macon, en Géorgie, et pourtant vous êtes loin, ailleurs, peut-être dans un autre pays.
| E-4 And I just wonder, while we're speaking this way, don't you think that one night we ought to just come in and--and... Usually when--come in of a nighttime, and not for discernment, just line up everybody that's got prayer cards and pray for them. And I think that would give everybody a good chance to get into the prayer line that wants to have... cards, a holding them. And we just have to take a few each time in these kind of lines. And then, it'll give everybody an opportunity to come and--and be--and be in the prayer line. And soon, we're looking for something to happen, that when I'll be able then to just go and pray for the people right out.
If you only knew, my dear beloved friend, what it is to go through what you do under a vision... I brought it on myself; it's not--not... I don't operate it myself, but it come on. I just... The people rallied for it, and I kept going; and now I can't even hold a meeting without it hardly. But if you only knew what you go through with. Just imagine going into another world, back down the line, thirty, forty years in somebody's life, looking at somebody... And you know your voice is coming in here at Macon, Georgia, and yet you're away, somewhere else, in maybe some other nation.

E-5 Vous savez, Daniel a eu une vision, et il eut l’esprit troublé pendant plusieurs jours; pensez-y tout simplement: une seule vision. Vous voyez? Et vous–vous ne vous rendez pas compte de ce que c’est. Et il n’y a pas moyen d’expliquer cela; il vous faut simplement le croire; c’est tout.
Quelqu’un m’a posé la question, disant: «Comment se fait-il que vous deveniez faible lorsque vous quittez l’estrade?»
Ce n’est pas pendant que je me tiens ici que je me sens faible; ce n’est pas après que je suis sorti de cela que je me sens faible; c’est dans l’intervalle de ces deux moments. Et c’est–c’est juste au moment où vous sortez de cela. Bien sûr, c’est difficile d’expliquer cela, mais si vous lisez la Bible, vous verrez que c’est vrai; c’est–c’est absolument vrai.
| E-5 You know, Daniel had one vision, and he was troubled at his head for many days; just think: one vision. See? And you--you don't realize what that is. And there's no way to explain it; you just have to believe it; that's all.
Someone asked me, said, "Why is it you get weak when you get off the platform?"
It isn't while I'm standing here that I feel weak; it isn't after I'm out from under it that I feel weak; it's between the two places. And that's--that's just when you're coming out of it. 'Course, it's hard to explain that, but if you'll read the Bible, you'll see that it's true; it's--it's absolutely true.

E-6 Ainsi, maintenant, ce soir, en venant, je me suis dit que si peut-être frère Moore... Billy a dit qu’il n’est pas là. Ainsi, j’ai un petit passage des Ecritures ici que je pourrais lire, si Dieu le veut. Et je vais vous parler seulement pendant quelques instants pour faire en sorte que la foule soit établie sur les doctrines de la Bible.
Vous voyez, après tout, quoi que je dise, je ne suis qu’un homme. Et maintenant, tout ce que Dieu dit, c’est Dieu. Ma parole va... Ma parole peut faillir parce que je ne suis qu’un homme, mais ce que Lui dit c’est la vérité, et cela ne faillira pas. Et maintenant, par exemple, les visions, qu’est-ce que c’est? Oui, oui, c’est la Parole du Seigneur, mais cela est secondaire. Si c’est contraire à ceci, là, à la Parole, alors c’est faux. Vous voyez? Il faut que ce soit...
Eh bien, voici la Parole de Dieu pour le monde entier. La fondation, le plan du Salut, tout se trouve dans la Parole. Mais, par exemple, pour quelqu’un qui a fait quelque chose, ou qui a peut-être manqué de faire quelque chose, ou qui aurait dû faire quelque chose, eh bien, une vision ou une Parole venant de Dieu est absolument la Parole de Dieu qui lui est adressée, mais cela doit concorder avec cette Bible. Si ce n’est pas le cas, cela n’est pas de Dieu.
| E-6 So now, tonight coming over, I thought maybe if Brother Moore... Billy said he wasn't here. So I just got a little text of Scripture here that I might read, if God willing. And talk to you just for a few moments to kindly get the crowd settled down and on the thoughts of the Bible.
See, after all, whatever I say, is just a man. And now, whatever God says, that's God. Mine will... Mine can fail 'cause I'm just a man, but what He says is the truth, and it won't fail. And now, like the visions, what is that? Yes, sir, that's the Word of the Lord, but it's secondary. If it's contrary to this here, the Word, then it's wrong. See? It has to be...
Now, here's the Word of God to the whole world. The foundation, the plan of salvation, everything, this is in the Word. But as an individual who's did something, or something they might not have done, and should've done, now, a vision or a Word from God is absolutely the Word of God to them, but it must line up with this Bible. If it doesn't, it's not of God.

E-7 Ainsi, j’en suis très reconnaissant. Et dans ces... Depuis que j’étais un petit garçon, je me souviens que j’avais des visions, depuis que j’étais un tout petit garçon.
La première chose dont je peux me souvenir, c’était une vision: alors que j’étais né dans l’Etat du Kentucky, et il m’a été dit que je vivrais dans l’Indiana près d’une ville appelée New Albany. J’ai habité trois ans–à trois miles [4,8 km] de là toute ma vie. Et je n’avais que dix-huit mois lorsque cette vision m’était apparue. Et au moment même où je suis né, cet Ange que vous voyez sur cette photo s’est tenu au-dessus du petit lit d’enfant, où je suis né.
| E-7 So I'm so thankful. And in these... Ever since I can remember as a little boy, visions come to me, just a little baby boy.
The first thing I can remember was the vision when I was born in the state of Kentucky, and told me I'd live in Indiana near a city called New Albany. I've lived in three year--three miles of it all my life. And I wasn't but eighteen months old when the vision came. And the very time when I was born, that Angel that you see on the picture here was hanging over the little crib bed, where I was born in.

Eh bien, si vous voulez bien regarder. Eh bien, je ne suis pas le seul garçon de campagne ici, n’est-ce pas? Nous sommes nombreux. Eh bien, oh! La la! C’est très bien. Je me sens comme si je pourrais venir sans cravate maintenant. C’est vraiment–c’est vraiment bien.
Eh bien, c’est... Ma mère a failli mourir de peur. Mon père... Ma mère avait quinze ans; mon père en avait dix-huit, c’était juste des gosses.
Et ainsi, depuis lors cela vient, ce n’est pas du tout–pas du tout quelque chose que j’avais, ce n’est pas du tout quelque chose que j’ai mérité, c’est... Eh bien, ce n’est qu’un petit don que Dieu m’a donné, qu’il m’a donné souverainement. L’unique façon dont ces dons sont donnés, c’est par la grâce souveraine de Dieu.
| E-8 And my people, of course, formerly, the beginning, are Catholic. We... They emigrated from Ireland to come here. And then, but my father and mother didn't go to any church at all. And they was raised up in the mountains; my father, a logger. And when that Light come in that morning at six o'clock on April the fifth, or April sixth, 1909, and that Light hung over that little crib bed there, a little trundle bed... I don't know what you all know what a trundle bed is or not, a straw tick, a shuck pillow. How many ever seen a shuck pillow or a straw tick? Well, would you look. Now, I'm not the only country boy around here, am I? There's just plenty of us. Well, my, that's mighty fine. I feel like I could come without a tie on now. That's just--that's just fine.
Well, that's... My mother, it liked to scared her to death. My dad... My mother was fifteen years old; my dad was eighteen, just kiddies.
And so, since then there it's been, nothing--nothing that I had, nothing that I merited, it's... Now, it's just a little gift that God gave, sovereignly give. That's the only way they are given is by the sovereign grace of God.

E-9 Et maintenant, tournons-nous vers Sa Parole et lisons-La pendant quelques instants. Soyez respectueux, et nous sommes sûrs que Dieu ajoutera Ses bénédictions à Sa Parole.
Maintenant, dans l’Ancien Testament... j’aime lire l’Ancien Testament parce que c’est le type du Nouveau, une ombre des choses à venir.
Et maintenant, si je prêche un peu longtemps, veuillez me pincer à la jambe ou faire quelque chose du genre, par ici, mon frère, et faites-moi savoir que j’ai prêché trop longtemps; parce que j’aimerais essayer de prier pour tous ceux que je pourrais avant de quitter la Géorgie. C’est la première fois que je me trouve dans votre Etat, et c’est certain, je suis tombé amoureux de vous, à la première soirée où vous vous êtes retrouvés ici.
Vous êtes vraiment... Je me sens vraiment le bienvenu. Je ne le dis pas parce que vous êtes ici. Et si je disais cela juste parce que je suis devant vous, je serais un hypocrite. Et je–et je ne–je ne suis pas obligé de le dire. Je le dis parce que c’est ce que je pense du fond de mon coeur. Vous êtes très gentils.
| E-9 And now, let us turn to His Word and read just a few moments. Be reverent, and we know that God will add His blessings to His Word.
Now, over in the Old Testament... I love to go to the Old Testament because it's a type of the New, a shadow of the things that's to come.
And now, if I speak just a little long, will you pinch me on the leg, or something, here, brother, and let me know that I've spoke too long; 'cause I want to try to pray for everybody I can before leaving Georgia. My first time in your state, and I sure fell in love with you, your first night here. You're just... such a welcome feeling. I don't say that because you're here. If I'd say that just because I was in your presence, I'd be a hypocrite. And I--and I don't--I don't have to say that. I say it because I mean it from my heart. You're very nice.

E-10 Et maintenant, dans Genèse 22.7 nous lisons une portion des Ecritures, et puis, on lira le 14e verset aussi; le 6e, le 8e et le 14e verset, ça ira.
Alors Isaac, parlant à Abraham, son père, dit: Mon père! Et il répondit: Me voici, mon fils! Isaac reprit: Voici le feu et le bois; mais où est l’agneau pour l’holocauste?
Abraham répondit: Mon fils, Dieu se pourvoira lui-même de l’agneau pour l’holocauste. Et ils marchèrent tous deux ensemble.
Maintenant au 14e verset nous lisons:
Abraham donna à ce lieu le nom de Jehova Jiré. C’est pourquoi l’on dit aujourd’hui: A la montagne de l’Eternel il sera pourvu.
Maintenant, inclinons la tête un instant pendant que nous parlons à l’Auteur de cette Parole.
Notre Père céleste, nous venons pour nous approcher de Toi au Nom tout suffisant du Seigneur Jésus, sachant premièrement ceci, qu’il a promis de nous écouter et de nous prêter l’oreille, lorsque nous demanderions quelque chose en Son Nom.
Or, Tu as dit que là où deux ou trois seront assemblés en Ton Nom (le Nom du Seigneur Jésus), Tu serais au milieu de nous. Ainsi, nous savons sans le moindre doute que Tu es ici ce soir. Et maintenant, nous Te prions de nous accorder quelques Paroles, Seigneur, et de nous encourager ce soir, Seigneur, avec Ta Parole.
| E-10 And now, in Genesis 22:7 we read a portion of Scripture, and then, they read some of the 14th verse also; 7th, 8th, and 14th, we'll make it.
And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for the burnt-offering?
And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for the burnt-offering: so they both went on together.
Now in the 14th verse we read this:
And Abraham called the name of the place Jehovah-jireh: as it is said... this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen.
Now, shall we bow our heads just a moment while we speak to the Author of this Word.
Our heavenly Father, we come to approach Thee in the all sufficient Name of the Lord Jesus, knowing this first, that He's promised to hear us, and give us a hearing, when we ask in His Name.
Now, Thou has said, that wherever two or three are gathered in Your Name (the Name of the Lord Jesus), You would be in our midst. So we know beyond a shadow of doubt that You're here tonight. And we pray, now, that You'll give us a few words, Lord. And encourage us tonight, Lord, from Thy Word.

E-11 Et nous prions, maintenant, ne sachant pas pourquoi frère Moore ne s’est pas présenté pendant toutes ces soirées, je Te prie, Père, de l’aider et de le bénir, où qu’il soit.
Et je demande que Tes bénédictions reposent sur tous ceux qui ne sont pas sauvés ce soir. Que quelque chose soit dit ou fait ici ce soir qui amènera ceux qui ne sont pas sauvés à Te croire et à Te recevoir, qui amènera les rétrogrades à revenir, ceux qui sont hors de Christ à être baptisés et à entrer dans le corps de croyants. Et que toute personne malade qui est ici ce soir, Seigneur, que toute personne rongée par le cancer, par la tuberculose, quelle que soit la maladie, soit parfaitement guérie ce soir; et qu’il ne reste aucune personne faible parmi nous. Que toute personne infirme sorte sans béquilles ni support. Que ceux qui sont sur les petits lits se lèvent et marchent.
Et que le Seigneur Jésus étende Ses bras puissants et saisisse chaque coeur de telle façon que les gens sauront qu’il est ici, et qu’il leur accorde ces bénédictions. Et lorsque nous quitterons ce soir, puissions-nous dire comme ceux qui revenaient d’Emmaüs: «Nos coeurs ne brulaient-ils pas au-dedans de nous à cause de Sa Présence?» Car nous le demandons en Son Nom. Amen.
| E-11 And we pray, now, not knowing why that Brother Moore hasn't showed up in all these nights, and I pray, Father, that You'll help him and bless him, wherever he is.
And I ask Your blessings upon all that are unsaved tonight. May something be said or done here tonight that will cause the unsaved to believe You and receive You, the backslider to come back; those outside of Christ to be baptized into the Body of believers. And may every sick person here tonight, Lord, every one that's cancer ridden, TB, whatever it might be, may they be perfectly whole tonight. And may there not be a feeble person left among us. May ever crippled person walk out without crutch or support. May those on cots rise up and walk.
And may the Lord Jesus just throw out His arms of power and grip every heart in such a way that they'll know that He's here, granting these blessings. And when we leave tonight, may we say like those who came from Emmaus, "Did not our hearts burn within us because of His Presence." For we ask it in His Name. Amen.

E-12 Maintenant, au cours de la prédication, en rapport avec ce que nous avons lu, en présentant les Ecritures ce soir, nous allons parler sur Abraham. Et dans le Livre de la Genèse, Dieu a donné ou est apparu à Abraham sous cinq, ou plutôt sept Noms composés liés à la Rédemption. L’un de ces Noms était Jéhovah-Jiré, celui sur lequel porte notre étude de ce soir. Il était donc Jéhovah-Jiré: «L’Eternel pourvoira à un sacrifice», Jéhovah-Rapha–«l’Eternel qui guérit» et le Bouclier, la Cuirasse, et ainsi de suite, tout au long, le Nom composé lié à la Rédemption.
| E-12 Now, in the speaking, of the reading, setting forth of the Scripture tonight, we're speaking on Abraham. And in the Book of Genesis, God gave or appeared to Abraham in five, or seven compound redemptive Names. One of those Names was Jehovah-jireh, the one that we have under consideration tonight. Then He was Jehovah-jireh, "the Lord will provide a sacrifice," Jehovah-rapha--"the Lord the Healer," and the shield, the Buckler, and so forth, on down, of the compound redemptive Name.

E-13 Ce soir-là, dans cette discussion à Houston, au Texas, lorsque la photo de cet Ange a été prise... Beaucoup d’entre vous ont entendu parler de cette histoire peut-être, comment cela est arrivé. Nous tenions une belle réunion à Houston, et on était parrainé là par beaucoup d’églises. Et un certain prédicateur a dit, il a écrit un article dans un journal et a dit–il a dit que j’étais un imposteur religieux, et que je m’imposais comme serviteur de Dieu, et qu’on devait me chasser de la ville. Et il voulait s’en charger. Ainsi, il m’a défié à tenir un débat sur les Ecritures. Il a dit que je ne pouvais pas soutenir la guérison divine avec les Ecritures.
Eh bien, monsieur Bosworth était le manager de cette série de réunions. Et voilà qu’il entre dans la pièce, vous savez, très excité et il a dit: «Regardez ça, Frère Branham. Regardez ça.» Il a dit...

Vous n’obtenez rien en vous disputant. Jésus n’était pas venu pour se disputer; Il ne faisait que ce que le Père Lui disait de faire. Si les gens croyaient, c’était très bien; s’ils ne croyaient pas, ça ne faisait aucun problème, de toute façon. Ainsi, après tout, si Dieu confirme la Parole... Jésus a dit: «Si vous ne pouvez pas Me croire, eh bien, croyez les oeuvres que Je fais, elles témoignent que c’est le Père qui M’a envoyé.»
| E-13 The night in the discussion at Houston, Texas, when this Angel's picture was taken... Many of you've heard the story perhaps, of how it happened about. We were having a lovely meeting in Houston, and sponsored there by many of the churches. And a certain minister said, that wrote a piece in the paper, and said that I was a religious impostor, and imposing myself as a servant of God, and I ought to be run out of town. And he'd like to be the one to do it. So He challenged me to a debate on the Scripture. Said that I could not support Divine healing by the Scriptures.
Well, Mr. Bosworth was managing that meeting. And here he come in the room, you know, real excited, said, "Looky here, Brother Branham. Looky here." Said...
Caught--caught his hand, and I said, "Now, look, Brother Bosworth, all the fussing you could do with that man, he'd walk away with the same belief he had when he come in."
You don't get nothing by fussing. Jesus didn't come to fuss; He just done what the Father told Him. If they believed it, all right; if they didn't, all right anyhow. So after all, if God confirms the Word... Jesus said, "If you can't believe Me, why, believe the works I do, that the Father sent Me."

Et l’unique chose à faire, c’est de vous en aller...» j’ai dit: «s’il est né un incrédule, Dieu a fait de lui un incrédule, et comment va-t-il devenir autre chose qu’un incrédule.»
J’ai dit: «Dieu a prédestiné un homme... Cette condamnation de certains hommes a été écrite longtemps à l’avance.» j’ai dit: «c’est ce que dit la Bible.»
Et quand les gens ne peuvent pas croire, c’est tout simplement comme déverser de l’eau sur le dos d’un canard; ils ne peuvent pas croire, ils n’ont rien pour croire.
Et j’ai dit: «Et puis, vous n’avez jamais entendu un homme qui est né de nouveau de l’Esprit de Dieu faire une telle remarque.» j’ai dit: «Parce qu’il a Dieu en lui; il croit toutes choses. Ce que Dieu a écrit, il le croit tout simplement.» Mais j’ai dit: «Or, cet homme ne croit pas, laissez-le donc tranquille.»
| E-14 And he said... But Brother Bosworth said, "But, Brother Branham," he said, "I tell you," said, "I--I--I think you ought to take that up."
And I said, "Oh, no, Brother Bosworth, just let it alone." I said, "Look. We're having about eight thousand people now, and there's about seven thousand of them want to be prayed for, and give one of the nights to fuss with that preacher, and the only thing you go away..." I said, "If he's born an unbeliever, God made him an unbeliever, and how he's going to be anything else but an unbeliever."
I said, "God predestinated a man... Men of old was foreordained to this condemnation." I said, "The Bible said so."
So if they can't believe, just like pouring water from a ducks back; they can't believe, ain't got nothing to believe with.
And I said, "Then, you never heard a man that was ever born again with the Spirit of God say such a remark as that." I said, "Because he's got God in him; he believes all things. What God wrote, he just believes it." But I said, "Now, the man don't believe so just let him alone."

Et j‘ai dit: «Frère Bosworth, cet homme sort tout juste du cimetière, ou plutôt du séminaire.» (Excusez-moi–c’est presque la même chose.) Ainsi j’ai dit: «Frère Bosworth, ai-je dit, Frère Bosworth, cela–cela... Vous avez près de quatre-vingts ans, et cet homme n’a qu’environ trente-cinq ans.»
Il a dit: «Cela n’a rien à voir avec la Parole de Dieu.» Il a dit: «Voulez-vous me laisser le faire?»
Et j’ai dit: «Non, Frère Bosworth. Non. Ne discutez pas avec lui. Laissez-le tout simplement claironner ou corner, et que sais-je encore.»
Il a dit: «Eh bien, Frère Branham, a-t-il dit, vous savez, à cause du public j’ai envie de–de lui montrer qu’il est dans l’erreur.» Il a dit: «Si vous me le permettez, je vous promets que je ne vais pas du tout me disputer.»
Alors, j’ai dit: «Eh bien, ça va. Allez-y.»
| E-15 And he said... Next day he put it in the paper, said, "It shows what they're made out of, because they're afraid to preach Divine healing in the light of God's Word." That was too much for Brother Bosworth.
He said, "Brother Branham, if you won't do it, let me do it," at eighty years old.
And I thought... My, I looked at him, and I thought of Caleb you know, saying, "Let me take this city." You see?
And I said, "Brother Bosworth, that man's just out of the cemetery, or seminary." (Excuse me--about the same way.) So I said, "Brother Bosworth," I said, "Brother Bosworth, that--that... You're eighty years old nearly, and that man's just about thirty-five years old."
He said, "That doesn't have anything to do with the Word of God." He said, "Will you let me do it?"
And I said, "No, Brother Bosworth. No. Don't fuss with him. Just let him blow or toot his own horn, and go on."
And he said, "Well, Brother Branham," he said, "you know, to the public I feel like I'd just like to--to show him that he's wrong." He said, "If you'll let me do it, I'll promise you I want fuss one bit."
So I said, "Well, all right. Go ahead."

Peu m’importe s’ils se disputent là-bas, comme ils le font partout ailleurs. L’un est trinitaire, l’autre est unitaire, l’autre est un unitaire, un binitaire, un quinquetaire et tous ces hauts et ces bas, la confusion, leurs baptêmes et ainsi de suite, toutes ces choses...
Mais ce soir-là, lorsqu’ils sont venus, vingt ou trente mille personnes étaient entassées dans cet amphithéâtre. Ils ne se souciaient pas de savoir s’ils étaient unitaires ou trinitaires, ou s’ils buvaient à une même fontaine, à deux fontaines, ou s’ils montaient un chameau à une bosse, à deux, à trois ou quatre ou cinq bosses; une seule chose était en jeu, et c’était la guérison divine. Tous y croyaient. Et les voici venir par train, par avion et tout, et ils ont rempli le grand Stade Sam Houston qui était plein à craquer. Ainsi, moi, je n’avais pas l’intention de m’y rendre, parce que je n’aime vraiment pas entendre les gens se disputer autour de la Parole de Dieu.
| E-16 And down the stairs he went to the reporter, you know, and so he told them... And then the next day, great headlines "Ecclesiastical Fur Will Fly." You can--you can imagine how the paper prints it, you know. So here they set. And that goes to show... I seen something that night that'll make me believe that someday all born again Christians will be one.
I don't care if they fuss down there, like they do everywhere else. One's a Trinitarian, one's a Unitarian, the other's a oneness, and a twoness, and a fiveness, and all these ups-and-downs, the scruples, and their baptisms, and so forth, all these things.
But that night, when they come, twenty or thirty thousand packed in the auditorium. They didn't care whether they was oneness, or threeness, or drinking from one fountain, two fountain, or riding one hump camel, two, three, or four, or five hump camel; there was one thing on stake, and that was Divine healing. They all believed it. And here they come by trains, planes, and everything, packed out the big Sam Houston coliseum. And so, I wasn't going down, 'cause I just don't like to hear people fussing around the Word of God.

E-17 Ainsi, ce soir-là, Quelque Chose ne cessait de me dire de m’y rendre. Ainsi, deux policiers sont venus me prendre, et je suis allé. Je suis monté tout en haut au balcon, à la loge trente. Ainsi, lorsqu’ils ont donc commencé, eh bien, ils se sont présentés là, ainsi après, il... Il voulait que monsieur Bosworth y aille le premier.
Ainsi, monsieur Bosworth a dit: «Eh bien, j’ai écrit ici six cents questions, six cents passages des Ecritures qui prouvent que l’attitude actuelle de Christ envers les malades demeure la même qu’aux jours où Il était ici sur terre. Et Dieu n’a jamais changé Son attitude vis-à-vis des malades. Et si monsieur Best ici présent peut prendre une seule de ces Ecritures et contredire cela avec la Bible, il n’y aura pas de débat. Je vais tout simplement m’asseoir.»
Alors monsieur Best est intervenu, disant: «Je m’en occuperai lorsque je monterai là.»
Il a dit: «Je voudrais vous poser une question. Si vous répondez par «oui» ou par «non», je vais m’asseoir et abandonner la partie.» Il a dit: «Les Noms rédempteurs de Jéhovah s’appliquaient-ils à Jésus, oui ou non?» Cela a réglé la question; c’était tout.
| E-17 So that night Something kept telling me to go down. So a couple of policeman come and got me and I went. I went way up in balcony thirty. And so then when they got started, why, they come out there, and so after he... He wanted Mr. Bosworth to take the first part.
So Mr. Bosworth said, "Well, I have written here a six hundred questions, six hundred Scriptures that proves that Christ present attitude towards the sick is just the same as it was the days that He was here on earth. And God has never changed His attitude towards the sick. And if Mr. Best here can take one of these Scriptures and disprove it by the Bible, there'll be no debate. I'll just set down."
So Mr. Best stepped in, "I'll take care of that when I get up there."
He said, "I'll ask you one question. If you'll answer me "yes" or "no," I'll set down and give you the rest of it." He said, "Was the redemptive Names of Jehovah applied to Jesus, yes or no?" That settled it; that was all.

E-18 Si ce n’était pas le cas, alors Il n’était pas un Sauveur, Il n’était pas Jéhovah-Jiré. Et s’Il l’était, Il est Jéhovah-Rapha, le même hier, aujourd’hui et éternellement. Ainsi, l’homme ne savait qu’y répondre. Ainsi, lorsqu’il s’est levé, il a prêché un très bon sermon campbellite (c’est ça.), il n’a fait que parler de la résurrection, lorsque ce corps mortel revêtira l’immortalité, disant que c’est dans le Millénium qu’il y aura la guérison divine; lorsque nous serons immortels. Je ne comprends pas cela. Ainsi il a donc dit que c’était un sermon baptiste. J’ai été bercé dans un berceau baptiste, je sais ce que les baptistes croient.
Mais cela n’avait aucun–n’avait aucun rapport avec la doctrine baptiste. Et puis, après, il a poursuivi en disant: «Amenez-moi ce guérisseur divin. Laissez-moi le voir guérir quelqu’un. Laissez-moi donc le voir... Il a réussi à emballer les gens psychologiquement, et ainsi de suite, laissez-moi voir ces gens d’ici une année et je vous dirai s’ils sont guéris ou pas. Amenez ce guérisseur divin.»
Monsieur Bosworth a dit: «n’avez-vous pas honte de dire cela?»
Il savait donc que j’étais là-haut. Il a donc dit: «Eh bien, si le débat est clos, a-t-il dit, ça va.» Il a dit: «Maintenant, je prie frère Branham de bien vouloir descendre pour congédier l’assistance, a-t-il dit, je sais qu’il est ici, mais il n’est pas obligé de le faire.»
| E-18 If it wasn't, then He wasn't a Saviour, He wasn't Jehovah-jireh. And if He was, He's Jehovah-rapha, the same yesterday, today, and forever. So he couldn't answer it. So when he got up, he preached a pretty good Campbellite sermon (That's right.), just talking about the resurrection when this mortal puts on immortality, and Divine healing would be in the millennium, when we're immortal. I don't get it. So now he said it was a Baptist sermon. I was rocked in a Baptist cradle, I know what Baptists believe.
But it was no--was no Baptist doctrine connected with it. And then, afterwards, he kept saying, "Bring on that Divine healer. Let me see him heal somebody. Then let me see him... He could work them up in their sociology, and so forth, and let me see them in a year from today and I'll tell you whether they're healed or not. Bring that Divine healer forward."
Mr. Bosworth said, "Aren't you ashamed to say that?"
So he knew I was up there. So he said, "Now, if the debate is settled," he said, "all right." Said, "Now, if Brother Branham wishes to come down and dismiss the audience," said, "I know he's here, but he don't have to."

Ainsi, j’étais assis tout en haut. Et il a donc dit: «Eh bien, s’il veut venir...» Et à ce moment-là, j’ai entendu Quelque Chose faire... [Frère Branham siffle.–N.D.E.] Ce cercle de Lumière est descendu. Peu m’importe qui dit quoi que ce soit à ce moment-là, cela règle la question.
J’ai dit... Je me suis levé.
Et Howard a dit: «Assieds-toi.»
Ma femme a dit: «Regarde là, Howard.» Alors mon frère s’est assis.
| E-19 So my brother was standing by me, and he said--said, "Now, you set still."
I said, "Well, ain't I setting still?"
And so, my wife was standing there, you know. And he said, "Now, you ain't going down there."
I said, "I never said a word about going."
And so, I was setting way up. And so he said, "Now, if he wants to come..." And about that time I heard something go... [Brother Branham makes a whistling noise--Ed.] that circle of Light come down. I don't care who says anything then; that settles it.
I said... Raised up.
And Howard said, "Set down."
My wife said, "Looky there, Howard." So my brother set down.

Il a le droit de croire ce qu’il veut.» j’ai dit: «Que personne d’entre vous ne pense du mal de lui, parce que sa mère l’aime tout comme la mienne m’aime.» j’ai dit: «Eh bien, cela m’a cependant rappelé, lorsqu’il ne cessait de dire: ‘Amenez ce guérisseur’, que c’est le même esprit qui a dit: ‘Descends de la croix, et nous croirons en Toi.’»
Christ voyait des visions, et un jour on Lui a mis un bandeau autour de la tête, et on L’a frappé à la tête, et on Lui a demandé: «Eh bien, si Tu es un prophète, dis-nous qui T’a frappé, et nous croirons en Toi.» j’ai dit: «c’est le même esprit, mais, ai-je dit, je regrette que nos frères soient oints du même esprit.» j’ai dit cependant: «Eh bien, quant à guérir quelqu’un, ai-je dit, je ne prétends pas guérir quelqu’un.»
| E-20 About five hundred ushers put their hands together and made a line, come up to the platform. I said, "I'd like to shake hands with Mr. Best."
I said, "Don't know one thing hard at him."
I said, "We got boys over in Korea, fighting, that we can have freedom of religion, free..." I said, "I don't believe what he believes. But I said, "I differ with him in theology, but after all, this is America. He's got a right to believe what he wants." I said, "Don't none of you think hard of him, because his mother loves him the same as mine loves me." I said, "Now, I was reminded though, when he kept saying, 'Bring that healer forth,' the same spirit that said, 'Come off the cross and we'll believe you.'"
Christ saw visions, and one day they put a rag around His head and hit Him on the head, and said, "Now, if You're a prophet, tell us who hit you and we'll believe you." I said, "That's the same spirit," but I said, "I'm sorry that our brothers anointed with it." But I said, "Now, as far as healing anybody," I said, "I--I don't claim to heal anybody."

Et j’ai dit: «Eh bien, en ce qui concerne les visions, c’est Dieu qui défend Ses dons.» j’ai dit: «Cela est–cela est mis en doute.» Et juste à ce moment-là, quand il a dit cela, l’Ange du Seigneur est venu et s’est tenu au-dessus, Il est allé derrière en tourbillonnant et a décrit un très grand cercle en tourbillonnant, Le voici descendre dans la salle comme ça, Il est descendu. Les gens se sont mis à crier. J’ai dit: «Il parle maintenant.» j’ai dit: «Si je dis la vérité, Dieu est obligé de me défendre. Et si je ne dis pas la vérité, Dieu n’aura rien à faire avec un mensonge; vous le savez.»
Et juste à ce moment-là, Le voilà venir. Et ils ont pris une photo de Lui là, et on a amené cela au–au studio Douglas; on a pris une photo de Lui, on l’a amenée... c’était un garçon catholique qui avait pris cette photo, et un Juif. Ainsi ils sont allés au studio pour examiner cela. Et il a dit: «Je ne crois pas que cela va paraître. Je crois que c’est simplement... Nous aussi, c’est ce que nous avons cru, parce que tout le monde montrait cela du doigt, et ainsi de suite.»
| E-21 I said, "If Christian Divine healing makes me a Divine healer, then preaching salvation makes you a Divine Saviour." So I said, "I only preach it by the Word; that's all."
And I said, "Now, as far as the visions, God speaks for His gifts." I said, "That's--that's questioned." And about that time when he said that, the Angel of the Lord come above, whirled back and made a great big whirl, and here He come down through the building like that, coming down. People been screaming." I said, "He speaks now." I said, "If I tell the truth, God's obligated to speak for me. And if I don't tell the truth, God will have nothing to do with a lie; you know that."
And just then here He come. And they took the picture of It there, and he took it down to the--the Douglas Studio; shot the picture of it, took it down... A Catholic boy took the picture, and a Jew. And so they went down to the studio to look it over. And he said, "I don't believe it'll show. I believe it's just... We just imagined that too, 'cause everybody's pointing to It, and so forth."

Et lorsque monsieur Best était en débat avec lui, il le tenait comme ceci et il avait mis son doigt sous le nez de frère Bosworth, et il a dit: «Prenez la photo de ceci.» Il a dit: «j’aimerais qu’on suspende cela dans mon... j’aimerais prendre ce vieil homme et lui arracher la peau, et prendre sa peau et la coller à la porte de mon bureau pour que ça serve de mémorial pour la guérison divine.» Pouvez-vous imaginer un frère parler d’un autre de cette manière-là?
Alors il a dit... Et ce soir-là, lorsqu’il a mis son doigt sous son nez, et qu’il a relevé son poing, et il avait demandé au studio d’installer ce grand appareil photo... Oh! Il y avait là plusieurs appareils photo et ainsi de suite pour prendre la photo. Eh bien, alors, savez-vous ce qui est arrivé? Dieu ne voulait pas que l’on tire de Ses serviteurs une photo de ce genre-là, et chacune de ces photos était vierge. Aucune d’elle n’a réussi.
Mais lorsqu’ils ont sorti cette autre photo, il y avait l’image de l’Ange du Seigneur dessus. Et ils l’ont envoyée à George J. Lacy, celui qui s’occupe des empreintes digitales et des documents au FBI, il l’a gardée à cet endroit pendant plusieurs jours, et puis ça a été mis sous copyright à Washington DC comme étant l’unique Etre surnaturel qui ait jamais été scientifiquement confirmé. Et c’est vrai, ça se trouve à Washington DC; maintenant, c’est sous copyright.
| E-22 But when he took it down, and pulled it out of the acid, and... He was up there to take Mr. Bosworth's picture. And when Mr. Best was holding debate with him, he'd hold it like this, and put his finger under Brother Bosworth's nose, and say, "Take it like this." He said, "I want them to hang up in my... I want to take that old man and skin him, and take his skin and tack it on my study door for a memorial to Divine healing." Could you imagine a brother talking about one like that?
So he said... And that night when he put his finger under his nose, and he'd draw his fist up, and had the studio set that big camera out... Oh, there was several cameras there and so to take the picture. Well, then, you know what happen? God wasn't willing that His servants should be taken with a picture like that, and every one of them was blank. Not a one of them showed up.
But when they pulled this other one out, there was the picture of the Angel of the Lord on it. And they sent it to George J. Lacy, FBI fingerprint and document, he kept it in this place for several days, and then, it was copyright in Washington, D.C. as the only supernatural Being that's ever been scientifically proven. And that's right, in Washington, D.C., now, copyrighted.

Il a dit: «Révérend Branham, approchez.» Il a dit: «Vous mourrez comme tous les hommes meurent.» Vous voyez?
J’ai dit: «j’en suis sûr, mais je m’y suis préparé.»
Il a dit: «Mais tant qu’il y aura une civilisation ici, un prédicateur ne manquera jamais à prêcher.» Il a dit: «c’est l’unique fois où un Etre surnaturel ait jamais été photographié.» Il a dit: «La lumière a frappé l’objectif. C’est la vérité», comme cela.
Et il me l’a remise, et je l’ai donnée au Studio Douglas d’Houston, au Texas; ce sont eux qui en sont les propriétaires. Il m’a dit une petite chose là, quelque chose, il a dit: «Le testament destiné au testateur...», quelque chose comme ça. Il a dit: «Eh bien, de votre vivant cette photo n’aura pas sa valeur, mais après, a-t-il dit, attendez après votre départ, elle sera dans les bazars, et d’autres lieux de ce genre.»
| E-23 And then, they come and said, "We'll give you an analysis of it." Mr. Lacy said, "Whose name's Reverend Branham?"
I said, "Mine."
He said, "Stand up."
I stood up. Kind of a red-headed fellow, kind of hard boiled eyes. I hope he's not setting present to hear this. So he... Hair hanging down in his eyes. When he seen it, first, he was very hard about it.
He said, "Reverend Branham, come here." Said, "You'll die like all men do." See?
I said, "I'm sure of that, but I prepared for it."
He said, "But as long as there's a civilization here, a preacher will never go out of his business." He said, "That's the only time a supernatural Being was ever photographed." He said, "The Light struck the lens. It's the truth," like that.
And he submitted it me, and I give it over to the Douglas Studios in Houston, Texas; they're the ones that own it. And he said some little thing there to me, something, said, "The testament unto the testator..." something. Said, "Well, as long as you're living that picture will never be in force, but afterwards," said, "wait till you're gone, It'll be on ten-cent stores, and things like that."

E-24 Ainsi, ce qu’il y a, c’est... Ce que ça représente pour moi, si je... Si ceci est ma dernière soirée sur terre, si ceci c’est la dernière soirée où je suis sur la terre, mon témoignage est la vérité. L’église le sait, des millions de personnes à travers le monde le savent; je suis entré en contact personnel avec plus de dix millions de personnes, dans le monde entier. Ça a été vu par des milliers et des milliers de gens, partout. Je compte sur Dieu pour que Cela devienne visible ici à Macon avant mon départ, devant l’assistance. Et les gens envoient les oeuvres et les signes, c’est la Vérité. Et le monde scientifique ne peut plus dire qu’il n’existe pas d’Etre surnaturel, parce que ça a été scientifiquement prouvé, c’est sans excuse, Dieu est ici en ce moment.
Nous sommes donc reconnaissants au Seigneur ce soir de savoir que notre Grand Dieu Jéhovah, qui était avec notre père Abraham, est encore ici ce soir avec Son église, en train d’agir, exactement comme autrefois. A mon avis, la même Colonne de Feu qui a conduit les enfants d’Israël, Jésus-Christ, l’Ange de l’Alliance, le même hier, aujourd’hui et éternellement a été scientifiquement confirmée.
| E-24 So what it is, is... What it is to me, if I... If this is my last night on earth, if this is my last night to be on earth, my testimony's the truth. The church knows it, millions around the world; I've come in personal contact with just more than ten million people, and around the world. It's been seen by thousands times thousands of people, everywhere. I trust to God that It will come visible here in Macon before I leave, before the audience. And they see the works and signs of It, that's the Truth. And the scientific world can't say there's no supernatural Being anymore, 'cause it's scientifically proven it, God's here without an excuse, now.
So we're thankful to the Lord tonight to know that our great Jehovah God was with Father Abraham, and He's still here tonight with His Church, moving on, just the same as He was in the days gone by. To my opinion, the same Pillar of Fire that led the children of Israel, Jesus Christ, the Angel of the Covenant, the same yesterday, today, and forever, scientifically proven.

J’aimerais que vous remarquiez ceci ce soir, vous les chrétiens, et que vous compreniez ceci très bien et profondément, que Dieu appelle Son peuple par Son élection souveraine. Dieu n’appelle que par élection.
«Cela ne dépend ni de celui qui veut ni de celui qui court, cela dépend de Dieu qui fait miséricorde.» Et tout homme et toute femme ici présents, qui ont déjà senti Dieu tirer dans leur coeur, devraient avoir honte s’ils n’ont jamais prêté attention à l’appel. Il y a dans le monde aujourd’hui beaucoup de gens qui–qui sont partis et qui sont devenus complètement insensibles et qui ne reviendront jamais–jamais à Dieu.
| E-25 Now, Abraham... to speak for--about him for about ten minutes, or so. Abraham was come down with his father from in the land of Chaldea and the Shinar valley, and dwelled in the city of Ur. They came out of Babylon, the people did, after the... Babylon was first called the Gates of Paradise, later called Confusion, because languages was broken up there.
Abraham, after coming down into this land of Chaldea, the city of Ur, Abraham was no more than anyone else. I want you to notice this tonight, Christians, and get this real good and deep, that, God calls His people by sovereign election. God only calls by election.
"It isn't he that willeth or he that runneth, it's God that showeth mercy." And every man and woman here that ever had God to tug at their heart, ought to be ashamed if they never heeded to the call. And there's many people in the world today that--that's gone and passed the line of conscience and will never--never come to God.

E-26 Mais Dieu a appelé Abraham, non pas parce qu’il était bon, mais parce que Dieu avait choisi Abraham.
Jésus a dit: «Ce n’est pas vous qui m’avez choisi, mais c’est Moi qui vous ai choisis.» Jésus a dit: «Nul ne peut venir au Père, ou ne peut venir à Moi, si le Père ne l’attire premièrement.»
Pourquoi êtes-vous ici ce soir? C’est parce que vous êtes intéressé. Pourquoi n’êtes-vous pas allé au match de baseball? C’est parce que vous aimez Dieu plus que le baseball. Voilà pourquoi vous êtes ici. Dieu vous a appelé et Il a mis un désir différent dans votre coeur.
Maintenant, l’élection de Dieu–Dieu appelle l’homme par Son élection souveraine. Est-ce que vous remarquez cela? J’aurais voulu que nous ayons du temps pour entrer dans les détails. Lorsque vous vous mettez à parler de la Parole, le Saint-Esprit commence tout simplement à redresser la chose... vraiment merveilleux.
| E-26 But God called Abraham, not because he was good, but because God chose Abraham.
Jesus said, "Ye have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you." Jesus said, "No man can come to the Father, or come to Me accept My Father draws him first."
Why are you out here tonight? Is because you're interested. Why ain't you at the ball game? Is because you love God more than you love ball games. That's the reason you're here. God called you and put a different desire in your heart.
Now, the election of God--God calls man by sovereign election. Do you notice it? I wish we had time to go into details. When you go to talking about the Word, the Holy Spirit just starts getting it right... just wonderful.

E-27 Abraham, c’était l’élection. Isaac, c’était la justification. Jacob, c’était la grâce, mais Joseph, c’était la perfection. Vous voyez? A mesure que vous les voyez avancer, Abraham étant appelé... Dieu a vu Abraham et l’a appelé par la grâce souveraine et par l’élection, et Il lui a dit: «Sépare-toi de ta famille et de ta patrie, et Je te bénirai.»
Remarquez aujourd’hui que Dieu exige toujours une séparation. Aujourd’hui les gens, lorsque vous choisissez vos pasteurs... généralement, les gens ici aujourd’hui veulent avoir des gens sociables. Je ne sais pas comment ça se passe ici chez vous, mais là dans le nord, les gens veulent avoir des gens sociables. Oh! Nous voulons quelqu’un qui est un type chic. Nous voulons quelqu’un qui peut, oh! Qui se tiendra à la chaire et qui peut... Oh! Qui ne blesserait pas les gens si ceux-ci faisaient de petites choses en coulisse, vous savez, de sorte qu’ils puissent se mêler à tout le monde. Les gens veulent des gens sociables, mais Dieu veut des séparateurs. Le Saint-Esprit a dit: «Mettez-moi à part Paul et Barnabas.»
Il y a des gens, lorsqu’ils choisissent leur pasteur aujourd’hui, ils prennent un homme qui mesure six pieds [environ 2 m], aux épaules larges, à peu près comme ça, aux cheveux noirs onduleux pour la présentation, se faisant lui-même... habillé en smoking, et tout, ayant un complet à porter après le dîner, ou l’une ou l’autre chose à l’estrade, parce que cela a un effet psychologique. Dieu ne se soucie pas le moins du monde de cela.
| E-27 Abraham was election. Isaac was justification. Jacob was grace, but Joseph was perfection. See? As you get them moving, and Abraham being called... God saw Abraham and called him by sovereign grace and election and told him, "Separate yourself from your people and among your kindred, and I'll bless you."
You notice today, that God always calls a separation. People today, when you're choosing your pastors, usually people today want mixers. I don't know how it is with you people down in here, but up in the north the people want mixers. Oh, we want a fellow that's a good sport. We want somebody that can, oh, set in a pulpit, and can... Oh, he wouldn't hurt if he did a little things on the side, you know, just so he could mix with all crowds. People want mixers, but God wants separators. The Holy Ghost said, "Separate Me Paul and Barnabas."
There's some people, in choosing their pastors today, get a six-footer with shoulders about so wide, black wavy hair to present, make hisself... dressed in a tuxedo suit, and everything, and an after dinner suit, or something another in the platform, because it's a psychological effect. God don't care a ounce for that.

E-28 Ecoutez. Ecoutez les Ecritures. Une fois Dieu dit à Samuel, Il lui a dit: «Va oindre l’un des fils d’Isaï pour qu’il devienne roi.»
Isaï a eu la même pensée que nos penseurs modernes ont comme croyance aujourd’hui. Il a envoyé son fils, costaud et grand là, mesurant six pieds vous savez, et aux cheveux noirs et brillants. Il a dit: «Oh! La la! Quel... Il aura vraiment l’allure d’un roi», un homme très grand et costaud, très beau. Et il a dit: «Regardez comment il sera lorsqu’il portera sa robe, avec une grande couronne en or posée de côté sur sa tête.»
Et Samuel prit l’huile, et l’Eternel a dit: «Mais Moi, Je l’ai rejeté.» c’est juste. Il avait beau mesurer six pieds et beau avoir un aspect frappant, Dieu a dit: «Je l’ai rejeté.»
Ainsi, il a amené là le suivant pour ce qui était de la taille et il l’a présenté. Dieu a dit: «Je l’ai aussi rejeté.» Et il a continué jusqu’à ce qu’il a présenté le sixième. Alors il a dit: «Tu... n’en as-tu pas un autre?»
Il a dit: «Si. J’ai un petit gars maigre et rougeaud là-bas dans le parc de moutons, là-bas quelque part, il prend soin des brebis, mais je suis sûr qu’il ne ferait jamais un bon roi.»
«Eh bien, va le chercher.»
Et dès que David s’est présenté, un petit rougeaud, voûté, peut-être, vêtu d’un petit manteau de peau de brebis, Samuel a couru et a versé de l’huile sur lui, et a dit: «Voici le roi.» Voilà le choix de Dieu. Amen. L’homme regarde à l’apparence extérieure, mais Dieu regarde au coeur.
Vous avez peut-être une très grande église ayant un tas de croix et de statues tout autour, et des sièges en peluche, et une orgue de dix mille dollars dedans, cela n’attire pas Dieu. Il y a peut-être plus de gens sauvés dans une petite mission là au coin que vous ne pouvez en mettre dans ce bâtiment-ci. C’est juste. L’homme regarde à l’apparence extérieure, mais Dieu regarde au coeur. Souvenez-vous toujours de cela.
| E-28 Listen. Listen to the Scriptures. God told Samuel one time, said, "Go up and anoint one of Jesse's sons to be king."
Jesse thought the same thing that our modern thinker believes today. He sent his great big son out there, a six-footer, you know, with his black, shiny hair. Said, "My, what... He will look like a real king," great big husky fellow, fine looking fellow. And said, "Look what he will look with a robe on him, a big gold crown setting on the side of his head."
And Samuel got the oil, and the Lord said, "But I've refused him." That's right. No matter how six foot he was and how striking he looked, God said, "I've refused him."
So he brought the next biggest one down and showed him. God said, "I refused him too." And he went on till he showed the sixth one. Then he said, "You... Have you got another one?"
Said, "Yeah. I got a little old scrawny, ruddy-looking fellow out yonder in the sheep pen, out yonder somewhere, taking care of the sheep, but I'm sure he'd never make a king."
"Well, go get him."
And as soon as David came forth, a little ruddy fellow, stooped shoulders, perhaps, with a little sheep coat around him, Samuel run and poured the oil on him, he said, "This is the king." That's God's choice. Amen. Man looks on the outside, but God looks on the heart.
Sometimes you get a great big church with a lot of crosses, and statues around it, and plush seats, and a ten thousand dollar organ in it, that don't attract God. Sometimes there's more salvation in a little mission down on the corner, than you can poke into the place. That's right. Man looks to the outside, but God looks at the heart. Always remember that.

E-29 Maintenant, Abraham, ayant été appelé à quitter le pays de Chaldée, Dieu l’a rencontré là. Il était probablement un petit homme, âgé de soixante-quinze ans lorsque Dieu l’a appelé. Probablement un bout d’homme portant une longue barbe, chauve, aux épaules voûtées, mais Dieu lui avait fait grâce. Abraham a trouvé grâce aux yeux de Dieu, et Dieu l’a appelé par élection. Amen.
En vertu de quoi? Quelqu’un qui Le suivrait, qui l’écouterait. Et il avait une femme de soixante-cinq ans. Il a parlé à Abraham, Il lui a dit: «Maintenant, sépare-toi de ton peuple.» c’est la meilleure chose à faire: sortir de leur milieu, s’en éloigner.
Quelqu’un a dit: «Eh bien, je continue à aller à la salle de billard. Je pense que peut-être je pourrais gagner quelques jeunes gens.» Restez loin de la salle de billard. Restez loin du terrain du diable. C’est juste.
Vous n’y arriverez jamais de cette façon-là. Séparez-vous et montrez vos couleurs. Soyez un chrétien. Agissez comme un chrétien. Vivez comme un chrétien. Parlez comme un chrétien. Les gens croiront cela.
Remarquez. Jésus a dit: «Quand j’aurai été élevé, j’attirerai tous les hommes à Moi.» Elevez-Le dans votre vie, dans votre manière de vivre, dans ce que vous faites.
| E-29 Now, Abraham, called, out of the land of Chaldea, God met him down there. Probably a little old fellow, seventy-five years old when God called him. Probably a little bitty fellow, long whiskers, bald-headed, and stooped shoulders, but God found grace. Abraham had found grace in the sight of God, and God called him by election. Amen.
Through what? Someone that would follow him, would listen to Him. And he had a wife sixty-five years old. He told Abraham said, "Now, separate yourself from among your people." That's the best thing to do: come out from among it, get away from it.
Someone said, "Well, I still go to the pool room. I think maybe I could win some of the boys." Stay out of the pool room. Stay off the devil's ground. That's right.
You'll never do it that way. Separate yourself and show your color. Be a Christian. Act like it. Live like it. Talk like it. People will believe it.
Notice. Jesus said, "If I be lifted up, I'll draw all men to Me." Lift Him up in your life, in your living, what you do.

E-30 Dieu appela donc Abraham et ce dernier se sépara de son peuple pour aller dans une terre étrangère. N’est-ce pas étrange que lorsque Dieu appelle un homme, Il l’appelle d’entre ses associés pour habiter parmi un peuple étranger, parlant des langues étrangères? C’est plutôt étrange que Dieu fasse cela, n’est-ce pas? Mais, Il le fait encore.
Sortez. N’ayez plus le même langage que la vieille populace. Vous entrez dans un groupe... Sortez de là où vous avez ce boucan, ces hurlements et ces extravagances pour le diable; vous serez là à pousser des cris et à louer Dieu dans l’autre groupe. Vous devez aller parmi un peuple étranger, séparez-vous du groupe auquel vous étiez associé autrefois.
| E-30 Then God called Abraham and he separated himself from his people to go into a strange land. Isn't it strange, when God calls a man, he calls him from among his associates to dwell among strange people, speaking strange languages? Kind of strange how God does that, isn't it? But He still does it.
Come out. You don't talk like the old crowd no more. You come over into a crowd... out there where you got whooping and a hollering and carrying on for the devil, you're shouting and praising the Lord in this other crowd. You have to go amongst a strange people, separate yourself from the crowd you once associated with.

E-31 Dieu, dans Sa grâce, l’a appelé et lui a dit: «Abraham, Je sais que tu es un vieil homme maintenant, tu as–tu as soixante-quinze ans, Sara en a soixante-cinq, mais Je vais te bénir et te donner un enfant. Et à travers cet enfant le monde entier sera béni, toutes les nations seront bénies à travers cet enfant.»
Eh bien, Abraham ne s’était jamais posé des questions à ce sujet; il a simplement pris Dieu au Mot. J’aime cela: prenez simplement Dieu au Mot. Et il–il a carrément continué à témoigner que le bébé allait naître. Je peux l’imaginer apprêtant toute chose, achetant toutes les couches, les épingles, et tout, se préparant pour l’enfant. Rien ne clochait.
«Sara, a-t-il dit, comment te sens-tu?» La première semaine.
«Aucun changement.»
Le premier mois passa. «Comment te sens-tu, Sara?»
«Aucun changement.»
«Eh bien, gloire à Dieu! Nous allons l’avoir de toute façon.»
La première année passa. «Comment te sens-tu, Sara?»
«Aucun changement.»
«Eh bien, gloire à Dieu, nous allons l’avoir de toute façon.»
| E-31 How God in His mercy called him, and He said, "Abraham, I know you're an old man now, you're--you're seventy-five years old, Sarah sixty-five, but I'm going to bless you and give you a baby. And out of this baby the whole world's going to be blessed; all nations is going to be blessed by this baby."
Now, Abraham never wondered about it; he just simply took God at His Word. I like that: Just take God at His Word. And he--he went right on testifying that the baby was going to be born. I can imagine seeing him getting everything ready, buying up all the diapers, and the pins, and everything, getting ready for the baby. Nothing wrong,
"Sarah," he said, "how do you feel?" The first week.
"No different."
First month passed, "How do you feel, Sarah?"
"No different."
"Well, Glory to God, we're going to have it anyhow."
First year passed, "How are you feeling, Sarah?"
"No different."
"Well, Praise the Lord, we're going to have it anyhow."

E-32 Il prit Dieu au Mot sans tenir compte des circonstances. Il a dit: «Dieu l’a dit. Et peu importe comment tu te sens, ou ce qu’il en est, nous allons l’avoir de toute façon. C’est Dieu qui l’a dit.» Amen.
Et si nous sommes les enfants d’Abraham, nous devons avoir ce genre de foi, peu importe ce que déclarent les symptômes. La Parole de Dieu... Nous, nous regardons à l’Invisible, à ce que Dieu dit à ce sujet.
Tant de gens se fient aux symptômes. «Oh! Si je pouvais regarder...» «Si ma main était un peu plus droite.» «Si je me sentais juste un petit peu mieux avec ma gastrite.» «Si ma tête cessait de me faire mal.» Cela n’a rien à voir avec la chose. Continuez carrément, glorifiant Dieu, témoignant de cela, des choses que vous ne sentez même pas, ni ne voyez, ni ne goûtez, ni ne sentez par l’odorat, ni n’entendez. Croyez cela de toute façon.
| E-32 He took God at His Word regardless of circumstance. He said, "God said so. And no matter how you feel, or what about it, we're going to have it anyhow. God said so." Amen.
And if we be the children of Abraham, we've got to have that kind of faith, regardless of what symptom's says. God's Word... We look at the unseen, what God says about it.
So many people rely on symptoms. "Oh, if I could look..." "If my hand was just a little straighter." "If I felt just a little better with my stomach trouble." "If my head would quit hurting." That has nothing to do with it. Go right on, glorifying God, testifying about that, things that you don't even feel, or see, or taste, smell, or hear. Believe it anyhow.

E-33 Eh bien, si vous parlez de... Il y avait un homme du nom de Jonas, qui avait les pires symptômes que j’aie jamais vus. Il était rétrograde, pour commencer. C’est juste. Il a fait quelque chose que Dieu lui avait dit de ne pas faire. Il se trouvait sur une mer houleuse, ce qui lui a causé beaucoup d’ennuis, il avait les mains et les pieds liés, on l’avait jeté par-dessus bord; et une grande baleine l’a avalé puis elle est descendue au fond de la mer.
Eh bien, vous parlez des symptômes–rétrograde dans son coeur, et il se retrouvait dans le ventre d’une baleine, avec des algues enroulées autour de son cou. Et tout le monde le sait, lorsqu’un poisson se nourrit, il mange–il mange jusqu’à se remplir le ventre, et il descend droit au fond et fait reposer ses nageoires sur le fond. Donnez à manger à votre poisson rouge, et voyez si ce n’est pas ce qu’il fait. Il descend droit au fond, et c’était probablement là-bas, à une profondeur de quarante brasses [73 mètres]. Et ce prédicateur était là, rétrograde, les mains liées dans le dos, dans le ventre d’une baleine, au fond de la mer, avec cette–cette tempête qui faisait rage au-dessus.
Vous parlez des symptômes, qu’il regarde de ce côté-ci, c’était le ventre de la baleine; qu’il regarde dans l’autre direction, c’était le ventre de la baleine, où qu’il se retourne, c’était le ventre de la baleine. Et il en avait, des symptômes. Mais savez-vous ce qu’il a dit? «Ce sont des vanités mensongères. Je ne crois à aucune d’elles.» Il a dit: «Une fois encore je regarderai vers Ton saint temple», non pas au ventre de la baleine, mais vers Ton saint temple. Vous ne pouvez dérober à un saint sa prière. C’est juste. J’aimerais... Il n’y a personne ici qui soit dans une aussi mauvaise situation ce soir. C’est vrai.
| E-33 Why, if you tell about... There was a man by the name of Jonah, had the worst symptoms I ever seen. He was backslid, first. That's right. He done something God told him not to do. And he was on a stormy sea, caused a lot of trouble, had his hands and feet tied, throwed out; and a big whale swallowed him and went down to the bottom of the sea.
Now, you talk about some symptoms--backslid in his heart, and in the belly of a whale, seaweed wrapped around his neck. And anybody knows, when a fish feeds, it eats--eats his belly full, he goes right to the bottom and rest its swimmers on the bottom. Feed your goldfish, and see if they don't do it. Goes right down to the bottom, and it was probably, forty fathoms deep there. And here this preacher was, backslid, and his hands tied behind him, in the belly of a whale, in the bottom of the sea, and this--this storm up at the top.
You talk about symptoms, he looked this way, it was whale's belly; he looked back that way, it was whale's belly; everywhere he looked it was whale's belly. But he had some symptoms. But you know what he said? "They are lying vanities. I don't believe a one of them." He said, "Once more will I look to Your holy temple," not to the whale's belly, but to Your holy temple. You can't hide a saint from his prayer. That's right. I want... There ain't nobody near that bad off tonight. That's right.

E-34 Mais il a dit: «Une fois encore je regarderai vers Ton saint temple, Seigneur.» Car il savait que lorsque Salomon avait fait la dédicace de ce temple, il avait prié et avait dit: «Seigneur, si Ton peuple est dans la détresse quelque part et qu’il regarde en direction de ce saint lieu et prie, alors exauce-le des cieux.» Et il croyait à la prière de Salomon.
Et si Jonas, dans ces conditions, a pu croire à la prière de Salomon, dans un temple qui a été consacré ici sur terre, à combien plus forte raison devrions-nous croire ce soir en un Seigneur Jésus ressuscité, assis à la droite de Dieu, quand Il nous dit qu’il fait intercession sur base de notre confession. Refusez de regarder aux symptômes, et dites: «Ce sont des vanités mensongères», et éloignez-vous-en. Amen. Ne faites aucune attention aux circonstances. Ce que Dieu dit est la vérité, et non pas ce que vous voyez, c’est ce que vous croyez qui compte.
Jésus n’a jamais dit: «Avez-vous vu cela?» Il n’a jamais dit: «Avez-vous cru cela?» (Ou plutôt, je vous demande pardon) Il n’a jamais dit: «Avez-vous senti cela?» Il a dit: «Avez-vous cru cela?» c’est cela.
Agissez donc sur base de ce que vous croyez, et non sur base de ce que vous voyez. Ce n’est pas ce que... juste ce que vous croyez. Et si vous croyez que Dieu tiendra Sa Parole, agissez alors en conséquence. Prenez-Le au Mot et allez de l’avant. Alors vous arriverez quelque part. Je sais que c’est la vérité. Je me suis confié à Cela, frère, dans les heures de la mort; et je sais que c’est la vérité. Si cela a marché pour moi, si cela a marché pour Abraham, si cela a marché pour Jonas, cela marchera pour vous. Prenez-Le simplement au Mot et croyez cela.
| E-34 But he said, "Once more will I look to Your holy temple, Lord." For he knew when Solomon dedicated that temple, he'd prayed, and he said, "Lord, if Thy people be in trouble anywhere and look toward this holy place and pray, then hear from heaven." And he believed the prayer of Solomon.
And if Jonah, under those conditions, could believe the prayer of Solomon, under a temple that was dedicated here on earth, how much more ought we to believe tonight by a resurrected Lord Jesus setting at the right hand of God when He tells us; making intercession following of our confession. Refuse to see any symptoms, and say, "They're lying vanities," and walk away from it. Amen. Don't pay no attention to circumstances. What God says is the truth, not what you see, what you believe.
Jesus never said, "Did you see it?" He never did say, "Did you believe it? (or, I beg your pardon), never said, "Did you feel it?" He said, "Did you believe it?" That's it.
So you act on what you believe, not what you see. Not what... just what you believe. And if you believe God will keep His Word, then go acting like it. Take Him at His Word and go ahead. Then you're going to get somewhere. I know It's the truth. I've trusted It, brother, in the hours of death and I know It's the truth. If It worked for me, It worked for Abraham, It worked for Jonah, It'll work for you. Just take Him at His Word and believe it.

E-35 Et Abraham a refusé de voir des symptômes de Sara qui n’avait pas ce bébé. Oh! On lui a dit qu’il avait un peu perdu la tête.
Maintenant, vous pouvez vous imaginer ce qu’un médecin dirait aujourd’hui si un vieil homme de soixante-quinze ans ou de quatre-vingts ans s’amenait disant: «Eh bien, voici ma femme. Elle a soixante-dix ans et moi j’ai quatre-vingts ans, et nous allons avoir un bébé.»
Eh bien, il dirait: «Ce vieil homme est un peu toqué.»
Certainement, c’est ce qu’ils ont dit à l’époque; c’est ce qu’ils diraient aujourd’hui. Mais Abraham n’était pas toqué; il avait pris Dieu au Mot. C’est ce qui faisait la différence, et Dieu l’a aussi honoré pour cela.
| E-35 And Abraham refused to see any symptoms of Sarah not having this baby. Oh, they told him he's a little off at the head.
Now, you'd imagine what a doctor would say today if an old man seventy-five or eighty years old going down say, "Well, here's my wife. She's seventy and I'm eighty, and we're going to have a baby."
Well, they'd say, "The old man's a little cracked in the head."
Sure, they did then; they would now. But Abraham wasn't cracked in the head; he took God at His Word. That made the difference, and God honored him for it too.

E-36 Je peux le voir continuer, disant: «Seigneur, veux-Tu me donner un... Comment vas-Tu me confirmer ceci?» Et Il l’a fait sortir là ce jour-là... j’aurais souhaité que nous ayons du temps pour aborder cela; il est temps de terminer maintenant. Mais j’aurais souhaité avoir le temps d’aborder toutes ces choses pour nous faire parvenir jusqu’à ce petit point; mais nous allons sauter, juste pour toucher quelques points importants.
Regardez là ce jour-là, lorsqu’il lui a dit qu’il confirmerait cela. Et observez comment cela s’est passé pour Abraham.
Il a tué cette petite génisse de trois ans, et la brebis de trois ans, ainsi que la chèvre de trois ans, puis il les a coupées en deux. Et il a placé une tourterelle et un jeune pigeon là, et il a chassé d’eux les oiseaux.
Et le soir, ou lorsque le soleil se couchait, observez ce qui est arrivé premièrement: un très profond sommeil tomba sur Abraham, montrant ceci: «Abraham, eh bien, j’avais fait une alliance ave Adam. ‘Adam, si toi tu fais ceci, Je te prendrai comme partenaire. Si tu fais telles choses, Moi Je ferai telles choses.’ Et Adam a brisé sa promesse.»
L’homme brise toujours sa promesse. «Mais Abraham, cette fois-ci, ce n’est pas ‘si toi tu fais, voici ce que Moi, Je vais faire’. Ceci, c’est Mon alliance avec toi (Amen.) Inconditionnellement.’»
Oh! Frère, si jamais vous voyez cela, vos yeux s’ouvriront directement. C’est vrai. Ce n’est pas ce que vous avez fait qui compte; c’est ce que Dieu a fait pour vous en Christ. C’est vrai. Il ne s’agit pas de ce que vous, vous faites, c’est ce que Lui a fait.
| E-36 I can see him as he goes on, he said, "Lord, will You give me a... How would you confirm this to me?" And He took him out there that day... I wish we had time to get into it; it's time to quit now. But I wish we had time to get into all those things to bring us up to this little point; but we'll jump, just hit a few high places.
Look out there that day when He told him He would confirm it. And watch how it was to Abraham.
He killed that little heifer of three, and the sheep at three, and the goat at three, and he cut them apart. And he put a turtledove and a young pigeon there, kept the birds off of them.
And the evening time, or when the sun went down, watch what happened first: a real deep sleep fell over Abraham, showing, "Abraham, now, I made a covenant with Adam. 'Adam, if you'll do, I'll take you in partners with Me. If you'll do certain things, I'll do certain things.' And Adam broke his promise."
Man always breaks his promise. "But Abraham, this is not what 'if you'll do,' this is what I'm going to do. This is My covenant with you (Amen.) unconditionally."
Oh, brother, if you ever see that, your eyes will come plumb open. That's right. It's not what you done; it's what God did for you in Christ. That's right. Nothing of yours, it's what He done.

E-37 Et là, Il a dit: «Abraham...» Il a plongé Abraham dans un sommeil pour montrer que celui-ci–celui-ci n’avait rien à voir là-dedans. «Maintenant, Abraham, tu n’as rien à voir là-dedans.»
Et alors, avant qu’il ne parte, il y eut une obscurité effroyable représentant la mort, montrant que tout homme doit passer par la vallée de l’ombre de la mort. Après tout cela, il y eut une fournaise fumante: tout homme mérite d’aller en enfer. Mais après tout cela, une petite Lumière blanche est passée. Et cette petite Lumière est passée juste entre chacune de ces alliances–chacune de ces bêtes, comme cela, chacune de ces bêtes qui étaient coupées et mises ensemble. Chacune d’elles était une bête de sacrifice, excepté la tourterelle et le pigeon.
Maintenant, si vous remarquez bien, la tourterelle et le pigeon, la raison pour laquelle on ne les a pas coupés, c’est parce que la tourterelle et le pigeon représentent la guérison divine. L’alliance était brisée pour passer de la grâce–de la loi à la grâce, mais l’alliance de la guérison demeure toujours. Toujours de... Cela n’a pas été coupé du tout. C’est vrai.
| E-37 And there, He said, "Abraham..." Put Abraham to sleep to show that he--he had nothing to do into it. "Now, Abraham, you haven't got one thing to do into it."
And then, before he went, a horrible darkness, showing death, every man through the valley of the shadow of death. Beyond that was a smoking furnace: every man deserves to go to hell. But beyond that went a little white Light. And that little Light went right between each one of those covenants--each one of those beasts, like that, every one that was cut together. Each one was sacrificial beast, except the turtledove and the pigeon.
Now, if you'll notice, the turtledove and pigeon, the reason it wasn't cut apart, because a turtledove and pigeon represents Divine healing. The covenant was broke from grace, from law to grace, but the covenant of healing lasts always. From always to... There's no cutting it apart at all. That's right.

E-38 Maintenant, Il a fait l’alliance. Et remarquez, Il est passé entre ces bêtes, prouvant, montrant à Abraham ce qu’il ferait au travers de sa semence, Jésus-Christ, dans les années à venir. Il établirait une alliance par Christ pour les Gentils, pour tout homme dans le monde. Tout celui qui viendrait, cette alliance serait... Elle s’applique à vous ce soir, c’est inconditionnel.
Quand vous devenez un chrétien, chaque bénédiction rédemptrice de Dieu vous appartient. C’est votre propriété personnelle. Vous avez le droit de réclamer cela. Si vous laissez Satan vous repousser dans un coin, eh bien, ça vous regarde. Mais, frère, tenez-vous là sur le qui-vive, avec cette Ecriture et dites: «Il est écrit.» c’est vrai. C’est ce que votre Seigneur a fait.
| E-38 Now, He made the covenant. And notice, He went between those, proving, showing to Abraham what through his seed He would do, Christ Jesus, in the years to come. That He'd make a covenant through Christ to the Gentiles, for every man in the world. Everybody that would come, this covenant would be... It's with you tonight, unconditionally.
If you become a Christian, every redemptive blessing of God belongs to you. It's your personal property. You got a right to claim it. If you let Satan push you over in the corner, well, that's up to you. But, brother, stand up there toe-to-toe with this Scripture, and say, "It is written." That's right. That's the way your Lord did it.

E-39 Tout homme, peu m’importe, vous pourriez être un chrétien faible; vous n’avez pas besoin que des gens ayant des dons de guérison passent; vous n’avez pas besoin de ces choses. L’unique chose qu’il vous faut faire, c’est prendre Dieu au Mot, et affronter Satan; vous le vaincrez sur ce terrain-là.
Jésus a démontré cela quand Il... Satan a dit: «Si Tu es le Fils de Dieu, fais ceci.»
Jésus a dit: «Il est écrit: ‘l’homme ne vivra pas de pain seulement.’»
Il L’a amené ailleurs, il a dit: «Si Tu es le Fils de Dieu, jette-Toi en bas. Accomplis un miracle ici devant moi.» Cet esprit-là vit encore, vous savez. «Laisse-moi Te voir le faire; alors je croirai cela. Saute du haut de ce bâtiment-ci et montre-moi que Tu peux le faire, et je croirai que Tu es le Fils de Dieu.»
Il a dit: «Satan, il est écrit.» Il s’en est tenu juste à la Parole.
Il L’a transporté sur une montagne, il Lui a montré tous les royaumes du monde en un instant, et il a dit: «Ils m’appartiennent.» Ainsi, voyez-vous à qui les royaumes de ce monde appartiennent? Il a dit: «Je... Ces royaumes m’appartiennent. J’en fais ce que je veux. Si Tu m’adores, je–je vais–je vais Te les donner tous.»
Il a répondu: «Il est écrit: ‘l’homme ne vivra pas de pain seulement.’ Il est écrit: ‘tu ne tenteras pas le Seigneur ton Dieu.’» Et Il a continué à lui montrer l’Ecriture, et Il a vaincu Satan avec la Parole du Père.
Et tout homme ou toute femme ce soir, si vous êtes ici malade et dans le besoin, affrontez Satan, et dites: «Il est écrit: ‘c’est par Ses meurtrissures que je suis guéri.’» Tenez-vous-en à cela et observez ce qui va arriver.
Il y aura un changement par ici, dans la ville de Macon, chez les malades. Prenez Dieu au Mot. Il le fera.
| E-39 Any man, I don't care, you might be a weak Christian; you don't need people coming through with gifts of healing; you don't need these things. The only thing you need do, is take God at His Word, and stand toe-to-toe with Satan; you'll defeat him on the ground.
Jesus brought it down to that picture, when He... Satan said, "If thou be the son of God, do this."
Jesus said, "It's written, Man shall not live by bread alone."
He took him somewhere else, said, "If thou be the Son of God, cast yourself down. Perform a miracle here before me." That spirit still lives you know. "Let me see you do it; I'll believe it. You jump off this building here and show me you can do it, and I'll believe you're the Son of God."
He said, "Satan, it is written." Right on the Word of God.
Took Him up on a mountain, showed Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment, said, "These belong to me." So you see where the kingdom of the world belong to? He said, "I... These belong to me. I do with them what I want to. If You'll worship me, I--I'll--I'll give them all to you."
He said, "It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone. It is written, Thou shall not tempt the Lord thy God." And He kept showing the Scripture to him, and defeated Satan with the Father's Word.
And any man or woman tonight if you're here sick and needy, stand toe-to-toe with Satan, and say, "It's written, 'By His stripes I'm healed.'" Stay with it and watch what happens.
There'll be a difference around Macon here with the sick folk. Take God at His Word. He will do it.

E-40 Maintenant, dans cette alliance... Lorsqu’Il a fait l’alliance avec Abraham là... Maintenant remarquez, dans l’Ancien Testament... Maintenant, lorsque nous faisons une alliance les uns avec les autres ici en Amérique, comment nous y prenons-nous? Nous nous avançons là et nous nous serrons la main en disant: «Tope là.» c’est ainsi que nous faisons une alliance.
Là au Japon, lorsque les gens font une alliance, ils prennent un peu de sel et se le jettent l’un sur l’autre, comme cela, pour faire une alliance.
Mais en Orient, voici comment ils font une alliance: ils tuent une bête. Et ils se tiennent au milieu de cette bête, entre les morceaux du corps mort, et ils concluent leur alliance, peu importe ce qu’ils font, et ils signent cela de leur nom. Ils déchirent cela en deux, l’un en reçoit une partie, et l’autre garde l’autre moitié. Et alors, ils font un serment sur le corps de cette bête morte. Si l’un d’eux brise cette alliance, qu’il soit comme cette bête morte.
| E-40 Now, in this covenant... When he made the covenant with Abraham there... Now notice, in the Old Testament... Now, when we make a covenant with one another here in America, how do we do it? We walk out and shake one another's hand, say, "Let's shake on that." That's the way we make a covenant.
Down in Japan, when they make a covenant, they take a little salt and pitch it on one another, like that, to make the covenant.
But in the Orient, how they make a covenant, they kill a beast. And they stand between this beast, the pieces of the dead body, and they write out their covenant, whatever they make, sign their name to it. They tear it in half, give it to one man, the other man keeps the other half. And then they take an oath over this dead beast's body. If either one of them breaks this covenant, let them be as the dead beast.

E-41 Et c’est ce que Dieu montrait qu’il allait faire dans les jours à venir. Lorsque Dieu est descendu ici sur terre sous la forme du Seigneur Jésus-Christ, Il a marché parmi les hommes, Il a été amené au Calvaire, et Il a été déchiré. Et Dieu a pris le Corps et L’a élevé à Sa droite, et Il a envoyé le Saint-Esprit sur terre sur l’Eglise. Et lorsque nous nous rassemblons encore, ces morceaux, juste comme l’ancienne alliance, ils doivent concorder parfaitement l’un avec l’autre. Et si jamais vous allez dans l’Enlèvement, il vous faudra avoir en vous le même Esprit qui était en Jésus-Christ. C’est cela l’alliance de Dieu avec Son Eglise. Amen.
N’acceptez pas une poignée de mains froide et formaliste. Acceptez une expérience venant de Dieu, qui réchauffe le coeur, l’expérience de la nouvelle naissance. Peu importe l’église dont vous êtes membre. Oui, oui. En effet, Dieu...
Souvenez-vous, lorsque ces deux parties étaient mises ensemble, si elles ne concordaient pas, elles étaient rejetées. Cela devait être la même chose. Et le même Esprit qui était sur Christ doit être sur l’Eglise.
Dieu a pris le corps de Christ et l’a fait asseoir à la droite de Sa puissance au Ciel, et Il a envoyé le Saint-Esprit sur terre. Et Il va de lieu en lieu, veillant sur l’Eglise. Et lorsqu’ils seront réunis, ça devra être le même corps, les mêmes signes, les mêmes prodiges, le même baptême, les mêmes signes et prodiges, le même Evangile. Amen. C’est juste.
| E-41 And that's what God was showing that He was going to do in the days to come. That when God came down here on earth in the form of the Lord Jesus Christ, walked among men, and He was taken to Calvary and tore apart. And God taken the body up to His right hand and sent down the Holy Ghost upon the Church. And when we come together again, them pieces, just like the old covenant, it's got the dovetail one with the other. And if you ever go in the rapture, you're going to have to have the same Spirit in you that was on Jesus Christ. That's God's covenant with His Church. Amen.
Don't you take a cold formal handshake. You take a heart-warming experience from God of being born again. Don't care where you belong. Yes, sir. 'Cause God...
Remember, when these two met together, if these didn't dovetail, it was throwed out. It had to be the same thing. And the same Spirit was upon Christ has to be on the Church.
God taken the body of Christ and set it on His right hand of power above, and He sent the Holy Ghost back. And It's going around, looking out the Church. And when they come together, it'll have to be the same body, same signs, same wonders, same baptism, same signs and wonders, same Gospel. Amen. That's right.

E-42 Remarquez, lorsqu’il a fait l’alliance et qu’il l’a confirmée là, plus tard, Abraham a continué. Gloire à Dieu! Et après cette expérience, alors il a réellement eu la victoire. Il devait avoir quatre-vingt-dix ans, presque cent. Dieu lui est apparu sous le Nom du «Dieu Tout-Puissant».
Ce mot vient du mot, du mot hébreu El Shaddaï, qui veut dire le sein, la poitrine d’une femme. El Shaddaï, le Tout-Puissant, Celui qui donne la force, Celui qui nourrit. C’est comme la mère pour le bébé. Lorsque le petit bébé pleure et qu’il est malade, la mère le ramène à son sein, et lui, en tétant il tire la force et la vie de sa mère. En outre, ça signifie qu’il est Celui qui satisfait. Pendant que le petit bébé est en train de téter, il est satisfait pendant qu’il est en train de téter. Il n’est pas encore guéri, mais il est satisfait tant qu’il tète sa mère. Et Dieu est El Shaddaï, la Poitrine, non pas un seul sein, deux seins.
Il était blessé pour nos péchés; c’est par Ses meurtrissures que nous avons été guéris. Il est le Dieu qui nous donne la force spirituelle. Il est le Dieu qui nous donne la force physique. Et peu importe celle dont vous avez besoin, élevez-vous jusqu’à ce sein et saisissez-le, la Parole de Dieu, et commencez à téter, vous allez recouvrer la santé et la force. La force du Saint-Esprit est dans la promesse de Dieu...?... Montez-y une fois et saisissez cela.
Frère, je vous assure; observez un petit bébé s’avancer à quatre pattes et se réfugier dans les bras de sa mère, il est vraiment satisfait. Peu m’importe combien son petit ventre lui fait mal; tout va bien tant qu’il tète maman.
| E-42 Notice. When He made the covenant, and He confirmed it there, later on, Abraham went on. Glory to God. And after that experience he really had the victory then. He got to be ninety and nine years old, almost a hundred. God appeared to him in the Name of the "Almighty God."
The word comes from the word, the Hebrew word, "El Shaddai," which means "the breast, the bosom of a woman." El Shaddai, the Almighty, the Strength Giver, the Nourisher. Like the mother to the baby. When the little baby is fretting and sick, the mother pulls it up to her bosom, and it nurses her strength and her life into it. And another thing it does, it means He's a Satisfier. While the little baby is nursing, it's satisfied while it's a nursing. It ain't well yet, but it's satisfied as long as it's a drawing from the mother. And God is El Shaddai, the Bosom, not one breast, two breast.
He was wounded for our transgressions; with His stripes we were healed. He is God of our strength for spiritual. He's God of our strength for our physical. And no matter which one you need of it, move up to the breast and take a hold of it, God's Word, and go to nursing from It, you'll come back to health and strength. The strength of the Holy Ghost lays in God's promise...?... Take up there one time and take a hold.
Brother, I'll tell you; you see a little baby crawl up in his mammy's arms, he's just as satisfied. I don't care how his little tummy's a hurting; it's all right as long as he's nursing from mammy.

E-43 Je vous assure, une fois qu’un croyant saisit la promesse de la Parole éternelle de Dieu, quoi qu’il arrive, il est satisfait. Il reste carrément là, tétant sans arrêt, tirant la force directement de Dieu. «c’est par Ses meurtrissures que nous avons été guéris.» Il a été blessé pour nos péchés; c’est par Ses meurtrissures que nous sommes guéris», tirant les bénédictions de Dieu, étant satisfait pendant qu’il est là.
On vient lui dire: «Tu n’as pas du tout l’air d’aller mieux.»
Il dit: «Gloire à Dieu, Il m’a guéri.» Amen. Accrochez-vous à cela.
On lui dit: «Tu n’as pas le Saint-Esprit.»
«c’est ce que vous pensez.» Amen.
Si seulement vous tiriez là où moi je tire, vous penseriez qu’il–que vous aussi vous l’avez. C’est vrai. Amen.
| E-43 And I'm telling you, a believer that once takes a hold of God's eternal Word for a promise, if anything come or goes, he's satisfied. He's laying right there, nursing away, pulling the strength right out of God. "By His stripes we were healed. "Wounded for our transgression; with His stripes we're healed," pulling down the blessings of God, satisfied as he's laying there.
Come by, and say, "You don't look any better."
Say, "Glory to God, He healed me." Amen. Stay right with it.
Say, "You ain't got the Holy Ghost."
"That's what you think." Amen.
If you was only pulling from where I am, you'd think he--you had it too. That's right. Amen.

E-44 «Je suis El Shaddaï, le Tout-Puissant.» Et Il est toujours El Shaddaï, le Dieu Tout-Puissant. Celui qui apaise les saints. Si un saint est malade, s’il peut écouter la Parole de Dieu correctement, s’il est une semence d’Abraham... Nous sommes, étant la semence d’Abraham... lorsque nous sommes morts en Christ, nous devenons la semence d’Abraham et sommes héritiers selon la promesse. Mais d’abord vous devez mourir en Christ, et naître du Saint-Esprit. Le même Saint-Esprit qui a conduit Abraham là-bas, vous conduit alors. Alors, comme Abraham, vous croyez que ce que Dieu dit est la vérité, et rien d’autre ne va marcher.
Ne vous souciez pas de ce que quelqu’un d’autre dit, de ce que l’évêque dit ou de ce que le pape dit, ou de ce que quiconque d’autre dit; si la Parole de Dieu le dit, c’est la vérité pour les croyants et les enfants d’Abraham. L’alliance est pour vous. Lorsque vous êtes circoncis... Abraham a été circoncis dans la chair en guise de confirmation. Vous êtes circoncis dans le coeur par le Saint-Esprit en guise de confirmation.
Oh! La la! Je me sens religieux juste en ce moment. J’ai presque envie de pousser des cris. Savez-vous que les baptistes crient aussi? Oui, ils crient. Lorsqu’on en vient carrément à Dieu, ils entrent réellement dans la chose.
Remarquez, frère, téter le sein du Dieu Tout-Puissant, Celui qui allaite, le–le Donateur de la Vie, notre Mère, notre Père, le Père qui allaite. Oh! La la! La la! Quelle–quelle image nous avons ici. J’aurais voulu que nous puissions nous y attarder un peu plus longtemps, mais il faut nous dépêcher.
| E-44 "I'm El Shaddai, the Almighty." And He is still El Shaddai, the Almighty God. The pacifier to the saints. If a saint is sick, if he can hear the Word of God correctly, if he's a seed of Abraham... We are, being the seed of Abraham... when we are dead in Christ, we take on Abraham's seed and are heirs according to promise. But first you got to be dead in Christ, borned of the Holy Ghost. The same Holy Ghost that led Abraham back there, leads you then. Then you believe like Abraham, what God said is truth and nothing else is going to work.
Don't care what anybody else says, what the bishop says, or what the pope says, or what anybody else says; if God's Word says it, that's truth to the believers and Abraham's children. The covenant's to you. When you're circumcised... Abraham was circumcised by flesh as a confirmation. You're circumcised, the heart, by the Holy Ghost as a confirmation.
Oh, my, I feel religious right now. I feel like I could almost shout too. You know Baptists shout also? Yes, they do. When it gets right down to God, they really get into it.
Notice, brother, nursing from the breast of Almighty God, the Nurser, the--the Life-giver, our Mother, our Father, the nurse Father. My, my, what a--what a picture we got here. Wish we could stay with it longer, but we have to hurry on.

E-45 De toute façon, après la naissance du petit bébé, le petit Isaac, comme Dieu l’avait promis, ils avaient cent ans, lorsque le bébé naquit. Pensez-y.

Maintenant, lorsqu’abraham... Lorsque Lot a fait son choix et qu’il est descendu là-bas dans les plaines de Sodome et de Gomorrhe, nous comprenons qu’il était un croyant tiède, et ce qui est arrivé à Lot. Mais Dieu n’avait jamais béni Abraham avant qu’il ne se soit totalement séparé de Lot. Lot continuait à s’accrocher. C’était un cheveu dans la soupe. Et il–il ne pouvait absolument pas progresser.
| E-45 Anyhow, after the little baby was born, little Isaac, as God promised, they was a hundred years old when the baby was born. Think of it.

You might not agree with this at first, but you look it all over. This will give you something to do tomorrow in--in your spare time. Look this over in the Bible.
Now, when Abraham... When Lot took his choice, and went down to the plains down there in Sodom and Gomorrah, we realize how he was a lukewarm believer, and what happened to Lot. But God never did bless Abraham until he fully separated himself from Lot. Lot kept hanging on. It was a hair in the soup. And he--he just absolutely couldn't go on.

Abraham L’a appelé Seigneur. C’est juste. Il l’était bien. Et aussitôt qu’il a dit à Abraham ce qui allait arriver, Il a disparu.
Sara a ri à l’idée qu’elle, qui avait presque cent ans, allait avoir un enfant. A l’âge de cent ans, et elle allait avoir un bébé, pouvez-vous imaginer cela?
Eh bien, frère, disons... Tous, nous savons que Sara a donné naissance à cet enfant. Nous admettrons tous cela. Ecoutez ce que Dieu a dit. Maintenant, voici un encouragement pour nous tous qui sommes vieux. Maintenant, j’aimerai que vous puissiez remarquer ceci. Ce que c’est... Et à vous les jeunes qui grandissez, vous qui aurez à vieillir l’un de ces jours, observez ce que Dieu a fait là-bas.
J’étais là, sur un lac, il y a environ six ans, lorsque j’ai reçu cette révélation. Et je vous assure; les gens ont pensé qu’ils avaient là-bas l’Armée du Salut. Oh! La la! J’étais le gars le plus bruyant qu’ils eussent jamais entendu de leur vie.

He knowed He's going to be made flesh sometime, so way back here, to prove to Abraham, He just jumped up a bunch calcium and a bunch of--of atoms and throwed them together and lived in that body. Come right down and had a appetite. Amen.
Abraham called him the Lord. That's right. He was. And as soon as He told Abraham what was going to happen, He vanished.
Sarah laughed when she thought, she was nearly a hundred years old was going to have a baby. Hundred years old and going to have a baby, could you imagine that?
Now, brethren, let's say... We all know that Sarah give birth to the baby. We'll all admit that. Look what God did. Now, here's some encouraging for all us old folks. Now, I want you to notice this. What it is... And to you young ones that's coming on, to get old one of these days, watch what God did there.
I was up on a lake here about six years ago, when that revelation come to me. And I'll tell you; they thought they had the Salvation Army out there. Oh, my. I was the noisiest guy they ever heard in their life.

I got a little girl tonight that I married a few years ago; she's the mother of my three children. And she can write me a letters, she'd say, "Dear Bill, I'm setting here tonight thinking of you and I'm praying with you." Now, that's what she says on the letter. But between the lines, I love her and she loves me, so I know what she's talking about. See? I read between the lines.
And if you want to really read the Bible with a spiritual understanding, get in love with the Writer. Amen. Then you can read between the lines, see where God pulls it out.

Ainsi Abraham continuait à se fortifier davantage, donnant gloire à Dieu. Alors que ses épaules s’affaissaient continuellement, lui continuait à rendre gloire à Dieu.

Now, you know it would be hard for that woman to give birth to a baby; anyone knows that. The first thing, Abraham had lived with her since he was about seventeen years old, and she was about forty-five years a past menopause. Now, the impossible... But notice, Abraham, the longer it went the stronger he got.
Now, today, if you get prayed for tonight and tomorrow you ain't perfectly well, you'd say, "Well, they ain't nothing in Divine healing. I never got it." Then you're not a child of Abraham. That's right. 'Cause Abraham, the older he got the greater miracle it was going to be.
So he was strong giving praise to God, said Romans 4. The longer it went, the more blessing it would be, the more miracle it would be, longer it took. So Abraham just kept getting stronger and stronger, giving glory to God. As his shoulders went down, down, he kept giving more praise to God.

E-50 Voici Sara. Eh bien, nous savons que Dieu a dû rendre son sein fécond, ça nous le savons. Eh bien, vous êtes un auditoire mixte. Vous écoutez le médecin; moi je suis votre frère. Ecoutez. Il a dû rendre son sein fécond, parce qu’elle avait atteint la ménopause depuis quarante-cinq ou cinquante ans. Pensez-y. Mais, voici que maintenant ça fait presque 50 ans qu’elle a dépassé la ménopause, et c’est maintenant qu’elle va avoir un bébé.
Eh bien, Il a dû rendre son sein fécond. Et à part ça, s’Il allait... Elle allait se rendre... les gens ne connaissaient pas la césarienne à cette époque-là, vous savez. Ainsi, ça aurait dû... Pour donner naissance à ce bébé, pour entrer en travail, elle devait recevoir un nouveau coeur en elle, parce qu’une vieille femme de cet âge-là ne pourrait pas supporter les douleurs de l’enfantement, vous le savez. Très bien. Alors, elle devait obligatoirement entrer en travail, elle devait donc avoir un autre coeur. Et pour ce faire... Les veines à lait étaient desséchées, ainsi, elle devait absolument recevoir de nouvelles veines à lait.
Or, Dieu ne rafistole pas quoi que ce soit comme cela. Voici ce que Dieu a fait à Sara, Il l’a ramenée à l’état de jeune femme. Maintenant, cela vous a en quelque sorte secoués un petit peu, mais tenez bon. Maintenant, ne–ne vous hâtez pas de vous lever pour partir. Vous voyez? Attendons–attendons juste un instant.
| E-50 Here's Sarah. Now, we know that God would have to make her womb fertile, we know that. Now, you're a mixed audience. You listen to a doctor; I'm your brother. Look. He'd have to make her womb fertile, because she was forty-five or fifty years a pass menopause. Think of it. When she was a young girl, and healthy and everything, then she didn't have babies. But here now, she's nearly fifty years a pass menopause, and now she's going to have a baby.
Now, He'd have to make her womb fertile. And besides that, if He was going to... She was going to go... And they didn't have caesareans in those days, you know. So it'd have... In order to give birth to that baby, to go in labor, she was going to have to have a new heart put in her, 'cause an old woman that old couldn't stand labor pain, you know that. All right. Then she's going to have to go in labor, so she has to have another heart. And in order to do that... The milk veins was dried up, so they just to have new milk veins put in.
Now, God don't patch up anything like that. What God did to Sarah, He turned her back to a young woman. Now, that kindly struck you a little bit, but just hold on. Now, don't--don't jump up and run. See? Let's--let's hold on just a minute.

E-51 Il a changé Abraham et Sara, tous les deux, et les a ramenés à l’âge d’environ vingt-cinq ans, comme il va le faire l’un de ces jours à tous ceux qui sont Ses enfants. Il a montré en eux ce qu’il allait faire pour lui et pour sa postérité après lui.
Remarquez. Sara et Abraham ont aussitôt effectué un voyage et ils se sont rendus directement à Guérar sur des chameaux. Suivez cela... Situez les deux endroits et voyez la distance qui les sépare; ça fait environ trois cents miles [482,7 km]. C’est vraiment un voyage pour un vieux couple comme le leur, n’est-ce pas? Une vieille petite grand-mère de cent ans, portant son châle, montée sur un chameau comme ça, et Abraham avec une très longue barbe pendante!
| E-51 He turned Abraham and Sarah, both, back to about twenty-five years old, like He's going to do everybody one of these days that's His children. He showed in them what He was going to do to him and his seed after him.
Notice. Sarah and Abraham immediately took a trip and went plumb to Gerar on camels. Follow it... Separate them out and see how far it is; about three hundred miles. Quite a trip for an old couple like that, don't you think? A hundred years old, little grandma in her shawl, running along like this, and Abraham, and his beard hanging way down.

Et cet homme, avec toutes ces jeunes femmes comme cela, il n’aurait pas voulu de cette vieille grand-mère tenant un petit bâton dans la main, avec un petit châle sur les épaules, et portant un petit bonnet pour se protéger de la poussière, vous savez; et il n’aurait pas voulu la prendre pour femme. Mais Dieu l’avait changée et ramenée de nouveau à l’état d’une belle jeune femme, comme Il va le faire pour toute la postérité d’Abraham un de ces jours. Mais que va représenter la vieillesse ou cela de toute façon? Alléluia! Cela ne veut rien dire pour le croyant. Alléluia. Nous nous moquerons de la mort un glorieux jour.
| E-52 My, went on down with a three hundred mile trip... And above everything, there was a young king down there named Abimelech, and he was looking for a sweetheart. And all of those pretty girls around there, and he fell in love with this old grandma, wanted to marry her. Nonsense, brethren. Abraham said, "Sarah, you're fair." She was the prettiest woman there was, in the land.
And that man, with all them young women like that, wouldn't have wanted that old great-grandma with a little stick in her hand and a little shawl over her shoulder, little dust cap on, you know; and he wouldn't wanted to take her for a wife. But God had turned her back into a beautiful young woman again, like He's going to do all the seed of Abraham someday. But what does old age or that going mean anyhow. Hallelujah. Doesn't mean a thing to the believer. Hallelujah. We'll laugh in the face of death some glorious day.

J’ai dit: «Où étaient-ils avant que je ne les aie? Si tu me dis où ils étaient avant que je les aie, ils sont là en train de m’attendre dans la résurrection.» Alléluia. Amen.

I've got the blessed old promise here in the...?... on Calvary's cross, and the Holy Ghost confirming every Word...?... some glorious day when He shall come. E-56 Il s’est assoupi et s’est endormi, et Dieu lui est apparu, Il lui a dit: «Tu es pratiquement un homme mort.» Frère.
Il a dit: «Eh bien, qu’ai-je fait? Je suis innocent au–au possible.»
Il a dit: «Tu as pris la femme d’un autre homme.»
«Oh! A-t-il dit, eh bien, Seigneur, Tu connais l’intégrité de mon coeur.» Il a dit: «Cet homme ne m’a-t-il pas dit que c’était sa soeur? Et elle, ne m’a-t-elle pas dit que c’était son frère?»
Dieu a dit: «Je connais l’intégrité de ton coeur; c’est pourquoi Je t’ai empêché de pécher contre Moi. Mais si tu ne la rends pas, tu mourras.» Maintenant écoutez, un bon garçon, un homme bien–bien, et cela vous montre la grâce souveraine de Dieu.
Il a dit: «Son mari est Mon prophète. Eh bien, Je n’écouterai pas tes prières, mais rends-la.»
| E-56 He dozed off to sleep and God appeared to him, said, "You're just as good as a dead man." Brother.
He said, "Well, what have I done? I'm just as--just as innocent as anything."
He said, "You've got another man's wife."
"Why," he said, "well, Lord, you know the integrity of my heart." He said, "Didn't that man tell me that was his sister? Didn't she just say that's my brother?"
Said, "I know the integrity of your heart; that's the reason I kept you from sinning against Me. But if you don't restore her back, you're a dead man." Now look, a good boy, a good--good fellow, but it show you the sovereign grace of God.
Said, "Her husband is My prophet. Now, I'll not hear your prayers, but you go back."

E-57 «Mon prophète...» Dieu lui avait dit de ne pas quitter la Palestine, mais il l’avait quittée; il était rétrograde. Non seulement cela, mais il se tenait là disant un mensonge. Il a dit... Un homme qui ne se souciait plus de sa femme en faisant une chose comme celle-là... Mais Dieu a dit: «c’est Mon prophète. Rends-la et restitue-la, et que lui prie pour toi.» c’est ça l’Ecriture, frère.
Je sais que c’est... Où en êtes-vous, vous les baptistes? Qu’est-ce qui se passe avec vous? C’est juste. Il était là, lui qui avait rétrogradé, fuyant loin de Dieu, se tenant là en train de mentir... Eh bien, cela ne vous donne pas le droit de mentir, ni de faire quoi que ce soit, souvenez-vous-en. Nous allons corriger cela dans quelques minutes. Très bien. Dieu lui a fait payer cela.
Mais il était dans cette condition-là, Et Dieu a dit: «c’est Mon prophète. Va, rends-lui sa femme et Je... qu’il prie pour toi et Je te guérirai.» Ainsi, il est parti le faire.

Eh bien, comment va-t-il être le père des nations, alors qu’il a environ cent quinze ans, et voici l’unique fils qu’il avait, qu’il prenne ce jeune garçon et l’amène là-bas pour le tuer? Mais remarquez, Abraham a pris le petit garçon et quelques serviteurs, il n’a pas dit la chose à sa mère. Ainsi, ils ont effectué un voyage d’environ quatre jours dans le désert.
| E-58 Abraham when he become older, first thing you know, the little fellow was born, little Isaac, age about twelve years old. Here he goes out. God had met him again and said, "Abraham, I know through this child you're to have--be the father of a nation, but I tell what I want you to do. I want you to take him out yonder to a mountain that I'll show you, and I want you to take him up there and offer him up for a sacrifice."
Well, how is he going to be the father of nations, now about a hundred and fifteen years old, and here's the only child that he had, and take the little fellow out there and kill him? But you notice, Abraham took the boy and some servants, didn't tell his mother. So they went four day's journey out into the wilderness.

Il a dit à ses serviteurs, il a dit: «Maintenant, vous, restez ici pendant que le jeune garçon et moi nous allons là-bas pour adorer. Et le jeune homme et moi nous reviendrons.» Oh! La la! Oh! La la! «Le jeune homme et moi...»
«Comment vas-tu le faire? Tu l’amènes là-haut pour le tuer. Mais comment vas-tu le faire?»
«Ce n’est pas mon affaire de le comprendre», dirait Abraham. «Dieu a fait la promesse, et moi j’ai reçu cet enfant comme quelqu’un qui vient des morts. Et Dieu est capable de le ressusciter des morts.» Amen. Voilà les enfants d’Abraham. C’est ça l’espérance qu’ils ont en Lui ce soir.
| E-59 Now, a ordinary man can walk a good... Why, I patrolled for about seven years walking thirty miles every day. And then in them days, you didn't ride in automobiles like we ride today, so they could probably easy go thirty miles, or take twenty-five miles. But they... Four day's journey would be a hundred miles back. And then he lifted up his head and saw the mountains far off. And then when he got close to the mountains... Watch, this is sovereign grace here, watch him. He said to his servants; he said, "Now, you stay here while the lad and I go yonder to worship. And the lad and I will return." Oh, my. Oh, my. "The lad and I..."
"How you going to do it? You're taking him up there to kill him. But how are you going to do it?"
"It's not my business to figure it out." would say Abraham. "God gave the promise, and I received him as one from the dead. And God's able to raise him up from the dead." Amen. That's the children of Abraham. That's the hope they have in Him tonight.

E-60 Il a donc pris le petit gars, il lui a mis le bois sur le dos, un type même de Christ (nous touchons juste les grandes lignes maintenant), et il a gravi la colline. Il a pris son propre fils, il lui a lié les mains. Ecoutez, c’est une double preuve de notre salut ce soir. Dieu lui a donné une double... Nous n’avons pas... Dieu l’a prouvé deux fois au travers d’Abraham et a juré pour cela de Ses propres mains (c’est juste.) Qu’il respecte Son alliance.
Nous n’avons pas à nous inquiéter de quoi que ce soit, si Dieu nous a appelés à bénéficier de Sa bienveillante grâce. Frère, je vous assure, si vous êtes né de nouveau de l’Esprit de Dieu, vous devriez être la personne la plus heureuse au monde, parce que vous avez la Vie Eternelle, la Vie Eternelle, et vous ne pouvez pas périr. Amen. Vous avez été ensemencé avec la semence incorruptible de Dieu.
| E-60 So they took the little fellow, put the wood on his back, very type of Christ (we're hitting just the high spots now), and he walked up the hill. And when he got up top of the hill, way up in the top mountain there, where he's going to offer the sacrifice, little Isaac, he said, "Father?" Said, "Here is the sacr... Here is the wood, and here is the altar, but where is the lamb, the sacrifice for the altar?"
And Abraham with trembling voice, the old man looked around to him and said, "My son, God will provide for Himself a sacrifice."
He took his own son, bound his hands. Look, a double proof of our salvation tonight. God gave him a double... We don't have... God proved it twice through Abraham and swore to it with His own hands (That's right.), that He keeps His covenant.
We don't have nothing to worry about, if God called us into His loving grace. Brother, I'm telling you, if you've ever been born again of the Spirit of God, you ought to be the happiest person in the world, 'cause you have Eternal Life, Everlasting Life, cannot perish. Amen. Your sowed with the incorruptible Seed of God.

E-61 Quand une semence va en terre, un grain de blé, il ne peut produire autre chose qu’un grain de blé. Et si vous vous promenez là en disant: «Eh bien, gloire à Dieu je–j’ai été sauvé. J’ai le Saint-Esprit», et que vous meniez n’importe quel genre de vie, vous feriez mieux de retourner à l’autel de Dieu, parce que la semence incorruptible de Dieu ne peut pas être une chose... Vous ne pouvez pas être du blé et un gratteron en même temps. Vous devez être soit du blé, soit un gratteron. Vous tous, vous avez des gratterons par ici? Très bien, alors des ronces, peu importe comment vous appelez cela, une autre mauvaise herbe. Vous voyez?
Vous ne pouvez pas être une mauvaise herbe et du blé en même temps. Si vous avez en vous l’esprit de la vie du blé, vous reproduirez le blé. Si vous avez en vous l’esprit de la vie du gratteron, ce sera un gratteron. Et si le Saint-Esprit est en vous, vous croirez en Dieu, vous aimerez Dieu et vous agirez comme un chrétien. C’est juste. Si ce n’est pas le cas, c’est à leurs fruits que vous les reconnaîtrez.
Oh! Ce qu’il nous faut aujourd’hui, c’est un bon réveil à l’ancienne mode, du Saint-Esprit. Ce qu’il nous faut aujourd’hui, c’est une nouvelle secousse à l’ancienne mode de la puissance de Dieu, un mouvement des mûriers pour avancer une fois de plus dans la bataille. C’est Dieu qui suscite ce mouvement, si les gens veulent tout simplement écouter cela et y croire.
| E-61 If a seed goes in the ground, a grain of wheat, it cannot produce anything else but a grain of wheat. So if you go around, say, "Well, praise the Lord, I--I've been saved. I've got the Holy Ghost." And living any kind of a life, you better get back to the altar of God again, 'cause the incorruptible Seed of God cannot be one thing. You cannot be a wheat and a cocklebur at the same time. You've got to either be a wheat or a cocklebur. You all got cockleburs down here? All right, greenbriar then, ever what you want to call it, some other weed. You see?
You can't be a weed and a wheat at the same time. If you got the spirit in you of the life of wheat, you'll produce wheat. If you've got the spirit in you of the life of a cocklebur, it'll be a cocklebur. And if the Holy Ghost is in you, you'll believe God, love God, and act like a Christian. That's right. If it isn't, you'll know them by the fruits they bear.
Oh, what we need today is a good old time Holy Ghost revival. What we need today is an old time shaking again of the power of God, a moving of the mulberry bushes to go forward to battle again. God's giving the moving, if people will just listen to it and believe it.

E-62 Maintenant, là-haut sur la montagne, il a amené son propre fils, il lui a lié les mains derrière, il l’a mis sur l’autel, il a baissé sa main et a tiré son couteau, il a repoussé la tête du petit garçon en arrière, il a levé la main pour tuer son propre fils d’un coup de poignard. Et à ce moment-là, le Saint-Esprit a saisi sa main et a dit: «Abraham! Retiens ta main.»
N’ayez pas peur de vous avancer carrément vers la fin de la vie avec Lui. Dieu entrera en scène. Il est Jéhovah-Jiré: «Le Seigneur pourvoira à un sacrifice.» Il pourvoira.
Et à ce moment-là, il a entendu quelque chose bêler, et un petit bélier était retenu par ses cornes, dans le désert. D’où est venu ce bélier? Ils étaient à cent miles [106 km] de la civilisation. Et ils étaient là au sommet de la montagne où il n’y a pas d’eau. Comment ce bélier est-il arrivé là? Dieu est toujours Jéhovah-Jiré. Peu importe les circonstances, Il peut pourvoir au sacrifice à tout moment. Amen. Peu importe les circonstances, Il est Jéhovah-Jiré.
| E-62 Now, up on the mountain there, he took his own son, tied his hands behind him, laid upon the altar, reached down and pulled out the knife, pulled the little fellow's throat back, and raised his hand to stab his own son to death. And about that time, the Holy Ghost caught his hand and said, "Abraham, stay your hand."
Don't be scared to walk right down to the last row of life with Him. God will be there on the scene. He's Jehovah-jireh, "the Lord will provide a sacrifice." He will make a provision.
And about that time, he heard something bleat, and there was a little ram hooked in the wilderness by his horns. Where did that ram come from? They was a hundred miles from civilization. And they was up on top of the mountain where there's no water. How did that ram get there? God is still Jehovah-jireh. No matter what the circumstances is, He can provide the sacrifice at anytime. Amen. No matter what the circumstance is He's Jehovah-jireh.

E-63 Eh bien, écoutez, ce n’était pas une vision. Il s’est avancé là et il a attrapé le bélier, il l’a plaqué là, et lui a assené un coup de couteau, et le sang en est sorti. Ce n’était pas une vision qu’il voyait; c’était effectivement un bélier. C’était Christ, l’Agneau de Dieu, immolé depuis la fondation du monde. Alléluia! Il était là, Christ. Ce n’était pas une vision. Cet agneau était appelé à l’existence par la Parole en une minute, et il n’a plus existé à la minute suivante, de la même façon que Dieu s’était rendu manifeste dans la chair devant Abraham, et qu’il a disparu à la minute suivante.
Il est le même Dieu, de sorte qu’un jour nos atomes, lorsqu’ils seront brisés et qu’ils s’en iront, que la vie quittera ce corps, par Sa Parole, Il ramènera cela à l’existence un jour dans la résurrection. | E-63 Now, look, it wasn't a vision. He walked over and picked up the ram, laid it upon there, and stabbed it with a knife, and blood run out of it. It wasn't a vision he saw; it was actually a ram. It was Christ, the Lamb of God, slain from the foundation of the world. Hallelujah. There He was, Christ. It wasn't a vision.
That lamb was spoke into existence in one minute, and went out of existence in another minute, the same way that God made Himself manifested in flesh before Abraham, and went out of existence in another minute.
He's the same God, that someday these atoms of ours will break and go out, life will go out of this body, and He will speak it back into existence someday in the resurrection. He's Jehovah-jireh. How will He do it? I don't know. That's His business, but He said He'd do it, and I believe Him. Jehovah-jireh, "the Lord will provide for Himself a sacrifice."

E-64 Peu importe ce que c’est, l’agneau était là. Il a pourvu à un agneau lorsqu’il avait besoin d’un agneau. Le sacrifice auquel le Seigneur a pourvu, l’Agneau auquel le Seigneur a pourvu...
| E-64 No matter what it is the lamb was there. He provided a lamb when He needed a lamb. When you're sick and you need healing, He will provide for you. If you need salvation, He provides for you. If you need a revival, He will provide for you. If the meal barrel's empty, He will provide for you. Amen.
If you're all downhearted and drooped over, God will provide for you. "For He was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquity; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; with His stripes we were healed." Amen. The Lord's provided Sacrifice, the Lord's provided Lamb...

E-65 Il n’y a pas longtemps, je lisais une petite histoire sur le vieil aveugle Bartimée. Elle disait qu’il était aveugle depuis des années et des années. Il... Dans sa vie conjugale, pendant qu’il était aveugle, une fillette lui était née dans son foyer. Et cette petite fille, il ne l’avait jamais vue de sa vie.
Ainsi, une nuit, il avait l’habitude de... Eh bien, il avait l’habitude de s’asseoir à la porte de Jéricho et à différents endroits. Il avait deux petites tourterelles qui faisaient de petites culbutes, comme cela, de part et d’autre, pour égayer les touristes qui passaient, en sorte qu’on pouvait lui donner quelques pièces de monnaie pour sa survie.
Et le pauvre vieil homme, un soir, sa femme est tombée malade; le voilà qui sort et il prie. Il a dit: «Ô Jéhovah, si seulement tu la laisses vivre, je Te promets que demain je t’offrirai ces deux tourterelles en sacrifice.» Et sa femme a été guérie, et il a tenu parole, il est allé et a offert les tourterelles.
| E-65 Here not long ago I was taking a little story on old blind Bartimaeus. It said that he was a blind man for years and years. He... During the time of his married life, while he was blind, he had a little girl born in the home. And the little girl, he'd never seen her in his life.
So one night, he used to... Well, he used to set up at the gate at Jericho and different places. He had two little turtledoves that done little tumbles, like that, back and forth, to entertain the tourists that come by, so they could give him a coin to make his living.
And the poor old fellow, one night his wife got sick; he goes out and he prays. He said, "Jehovah, if You'll only let her live, I promise You tomorrow I'll offer these two turtledoves for You for a sacrifice." And his wife got well, and kept his word and went up and offered the turtledoves.

E-66 Peu de temps après, sa fillette est tombée malade. Et elle était à l’article de la mort; le médecin l’avait abandonnée. Il est sorti là et a dit: «Ô Jéhovah, si seulement Tu guéris ma fillette, demain, l’unique chose que j’ai, je Te la donnerai, et c’est mon agneau.» Et aujourd’hui, les gens ont des chiens qui conduisent les aveugles; à l’époque ils avaient des agneaux pour conduire les aveugles.
Ainsi, il a dit: «j’ai ici un agneau qui me conduit, comme je suis un aveugle. C’est tout ce que j’ai. Mais si Tu guéris ma fillette, je Te promets que je Te donnerai cet agneau demain.»
Il est rentré chez lui, et la fièvre a quitté la fillette. Le lendemain matin, il était en route pour aller offrir l’agneau en sacrifice.
Lorsqu’il est passé chez Caïphe, le grand souverain sacrificateur, ce dernier se tenait là, et il a dit: «Bartimée l’aveugle, où vas-tu ce matin?» c’était par un beau matin du printemps. Il a dit: «Où vas-tu, Bartimée l’aveugle?»
Il a dit: «Oh! Souverain Sacrificateur, a-t-il dit, je vais à–à l’autel pour offrir cet agneau.» Il a dit: «Ma fille était malade et Dieu l’a guérie, et j’ai fait la promesse que j’offrirais–je donnerais aujourd’hui cet agneau.»
«Oh! A-t-il dit, Bartimée l’aveugle, a-t-il dit, tu ne peux pas offrir cet agneau, Bartimée l’aveugle.» Il a dit: «Je vais te donner de l’argent et tu iras acheter un agneau.»
Il a dit: «Oh! Souverain sacrificateur, j’apprécie tout ça, mais je n’ai jamais offert à Dieu un agneau, je Lui offre cet agneau-ci.» Et c’est de cet agneau-ci qu’il s’agit. Que Dieu ait pitié, l’agneau. Et il a dit: «Je lui ai offert cet agneau-ci. C’est cet agneau-ci que je Lui ai promis.»
Et il a dit: «Bartimée l’aveugle, tu ne peux offrir cet agneau; cet agneau, ce sont tes yeux.»
Il a dit: «c’est juste, oh! Souverain sacrificateur, mais je tiens ma promesse envers Dieu, Dieu pourvoira à un agneau pour les yeux de Bartimée l’aveugle.»
| E-66 Not long after that his little girl got sick. And she was ready to die; the doctor had give her up. He went up and he said, "Jehovah, if You'll only heal my little girl, tomorrow, I only have one thing to give You and that's my lamb." And today they got dogs that leads the blind around; them days they had lambs that led the blind around.
So he said, "I've got a lamb here that leads me, where I'm blind. That's all I got. But if You'll just heal my little girl, I promise You I'll give you this lamb tomorrow."
He went back in, the fever left the little girl. The next morning he was on his road up to offer the lamb for a sacrifice.
When he passed by Caiaphas, the great high priest was standing there, said, "Blind Bartimaeus, where goest thou this morning?" It was a beautiful spring morning. Said, "Where you going, blind Bartimaeus?"
He said, "Oh, high priest," he said, "I'm going up to the--the altar to offer this lamb." He said, "My girl was sick and God healed her, and I promised that I'd offer--give this lamb today."
"Oh," he said, "Blind Bartimaeus," Said, "you can't offer that lamb, blind Bartimaeus." Said, "I'll give you some money and you go buy a lamb."
He said, "Oh, high priest, all that's appreciated, but I never offered God a lamb; I offer Him this lamb." And this is the lamb. God have mercy, the lamb. And he said, "I offered Him this lamb. I promised Him this lamb."
And he said, "Blind Bartimaeus, you cannot offer that lamb; that lamb is your eyes."
He said, "That is right, oh, high priest, but if I keep my promise to God, God will provide a lamb for blind Bartimaeus' eyes."

E-67 Il a continué son chemin et a tenu sa promesse envers Dieu. Par une journée froide de novembre, alors qu’il se tenait près de la porte de Jéricho, tremblant dans ses haillons, sans tourterelles, seul, une clameur s’est fait entendre. Généralement, là où est Jésus il y a beaucoup de bruit. Les gens demandaient: «Qu’est-ce qui se passe?»
On a dit: «c’est Jésus de Nazareth qui passe.»
Bartimée s’est écrié: «Oh! Jésus, Fils de David, aie pitié de moi.» Dieu avait pourvu à un Agneau pour les yeux de l’aveugle Bartimée. En effet, Il a tenu la promesse qu’il avait faite à l’aveugle Bartimée.
Laissez-moi dire ceci ce soir, mon bien-aimé frère, ma bien-aimée soeur: ce même Agneau auquel Il avait été pourvu pour les yeux de l’aveugle Bartimée, il y a été pourvu pour les vôtres ce soir. «Car Il a été blessé pour vos péchés, brisé pour votre iniquité.»
Vous direz: «Ceci peut-il être appliqué à ce temps-ci?» Il est Jéhovah-Jiré. Il pourvoira si vous croyez. Prions.
| E-67 He went on and kept his word to God. On one cold November day, setting by the side of the gates of Jericho, shivering in his rags, with no turtledoves, alone, they heard a noise. Usually, Jesus is around there's a lot of noise. They said, "What's the matter."
Said, "Jesus of Nazareth comes by."
He screamed, "Oh, Jesus, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me." God had provided a Lamb for blind Bartimaeus' eyes, because he kept His promise to blind Bartimaeus.
Let me say this tonight, my dear brother, sister: That same Lamb that was provided for blind Bartimaeus' eyes is provided for yours tonight. "For He was wounded for your transgressions, bruised for your iniquity."
You say, "Can this be applied at this time?" He's Jehovah-jireh. He will provide if you will believe. Shall we pray.

E-68 Notre Père céleste, nous Te remercions ce soir pour l’Agneau auquel il a été pourvu. Louez le Seigneur qui a été immolé pour les pécheurs, rendez-Lui gloire vous tous les peuples, car le Sang peut ôter chaque tache.
Nous sommes si reconnaissants pour cet Agneau de Dieu auquel il a été pourvu là-bas, qui est venu depuis la fondation du monde. Tout au long des âges, les gens tiraient des rémunérations de Ses grands sacrifices suprêmes; et ce soir, Seigneur, nous Te prions de faire en sorte que chaque aveugle, tout homme qui est aveugle dans le péché et les offenses, qui marche en trébuchant dans les ténèbres, sans savoir où il va, puisse regarder ce soir vers Dieu, vers l’Agneau de Dieu, et qu’il reçoive Sa vue spirituelle en ce moment-ci.
Accorde-le, Père céleste. Car nous le demandons au Nom de l’Agneau de Dieu, Ton Enfant Bien-aimé, le Seigneur Jésus.
| E-68 Our heavenly Father, we thank Thee tonight for the provided Lamb. Praise the Lord for sinners slain, give Him glory all ye people, for the Blood can wash away each stain.
We're so thankful for that Lamb of God that was provided back there, come from the foundations of the world. All down through the ages they've drawed remunerations from His great supreme sacrifices, and tonight, Lord, we pray that You'll let every blind man, that's blind in sin and trespasses, walking around and stumbling in darkness not knowing where he goes, may he tonight look to God, to the Lamb of God, and receive his spiritual sight at this time.
Grant it, heavenly Father. For we ask it in the Name of the Lamb of God, Thy beloved Child, the Lord Jesus.

E-70 Père... le jeune homme a couru vers Lui, et il a dit: «Seigneur, aie pitié de mon enfant.» Il a dit: «Je l’ai amené chez les disciples, et il semble qu’ils n’arrivent pas à faire quelque chose pour lui.» Il a dit: «Il–il a un mauvais esprit qui le jette dans le feu, qui le fait dépérir et il écume, et il tombe dans l’eau, et le diable essaie de le tuer.» On appelle cela l’épilepsie, aujourd’hui, mais à l’époque c’était un démon. C’est toujours un démon.
Et il a dit: «Je l’ai amené chez les disciples, et ils n’ont pas pu...» Il a dit: «Seigneur, peux-Tu m’aider?»
Jésus s’est retourné et Il a dit: «Je le peux si tu crois. Car toutes choses sont possibles à celui qui croit.»
Le père de l’enfant a dit: «Seigneur, je crois. Viens au secours de mon incrédulité.»
Oh! Est-ce là notre cri ce soir? «Seigneur, je crois. Seigneur, je crois, viens au secours de mon incrédulité.»
| E-70 Father... the boy run to Him, said, "Lord, have mercy on my child." Said, "I brought him to the disciples, and seem like they can't do nothing for him." Said, "He--He's has a bad spirit that throws him the fire, and makes him pine away, and he froths at the mouth, and falls into the water, the devil trying to kill him." They call it epilepsy today, but then it was a devil. It's still a devil.
And said, "And I took him to the disciples, they couldn't..." Said, "Lord, can You help me?"
Jesus turned around and said, "I can if you believe. For all things are possible to them that believe."
The father said, "Lord, I believe. Help thou my unbelief."
Oh, is that our cry tonight? "Lord, I believe. Lord, I believe, help Thou my unbelief."

E-71 Maintenant, dans cette assistance-ci au fond, je me rends compte qu’il y a beaucoup de gens, beaucoup que je ne connais pas. Franchement, il n’y a personne que je connais, excepté mes propres associés qui sont ici avec moi ainsi que ce prédicateur. Son nom m’échappe, mais il était avec moi l’autre jour à l’hôtel. Je–je... c’est l’un des présidents, ou quelque chose du genre, du comité. C’est la seule personne que je connaisse. Il y a un autre prédicateur avec lui, mais je ne pense pas connaître cet homme.
Eh bien, si Jésus, le Fils de Dieu, est ressuscité d’entre les morts, Il fera les mêmes choses dans Sa résurrection, s’Il est le même, qu’il a faites lorsqu’il était ici sur terre. Est-ce juste?
Lorsqu’Il était ici sur terre, Il ne prétendait pas être un guérisseur. Il a dit: «Je ne fais rien de Moi-même. Je... Le Père Me montre ce qu’il faut faire, et ensuite Je vais le faire. Je fais ce que le Père me montre.» Est-ce juste? «Je ne fais rien de Moi-même. | E-71 Now, in this back audience here I realize that there's many peoples, and many I don't know. Frankly, there's none that I know expect my own associates that's here with me and this minister. I can't call his name, but he was with me the other day at the hotel. I--I... He's one of the chairman, or something, on the committee. He's the only one that I know of. There's another minister with him, but I believe that I don't know who the man was.
Now, if Jesus, the Son of God, has raised from the dead, He will do the same things in His resurrection, if He is the same, that He did when He was here on earth. Is that right?
When He was here on earth, He did not claim to be a healer. He said, "I do nothing of Myself. I... The Father shows Me what to do, and then I go do it. I do what the Father shows Me." Is that right? "I do nothing of Myself. Verily, Verily I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of Himself; but what He sees the Father doing, that doth the Son likewise. The Father worketh, and I worketh hitherto."

E-72 Maintenant, pour rendre cela clair pour certains d’entre vous, vous les nouveaux convertis, Jésus a dit: «Je ne peux pas guérir les malades; Je ne peux rien faire. Premièrement, le Père Me montre une vision, et ensuite, Je vais traduire cela en acte, et Je fais exactement ce qu’il m’a dit de faire.»
Regardez à la tombe de Lazare. Regardez tous les passages de la Bible. Il faisait exactement ce que le Père Lui montrait. Il est passé à côté des malades, des affligés, des morts, de ceux qui se mouraient de toute part, et tout, mais lorsque le Père Lui montrait ce qu’il fallait faire, Il s’en allait le faire.
Or, Il a dit: «Vous ferez aussi les choses que Je fais. Et encore un peu de temps, et le monde, l’incroyant, ne Me verra plus. Mais vous vous Me verrez, vous Me verrez.» Il a promis qu’il serait avec nous tout au long de l’âge jusqu’à la fin, à la fin du monde. Le monde n’est pas encore arrivé à sa fin. «Jésus-Christ», dit la Bible dans Hébreux 13.8, «est le même hier, aujourd’hui et éternellement.» Est-ce juste?
Eh bien, voici ce que je soutiens en Géorgie comme ça a été le cas trois fois à travers le monde maintenant: Jésus-Christ est ressuscité des morts, et ce soir, Il est vivant parmi les hommes. Et Il est ici dans le même principe, la même puissance, les mêmes signes, les mêmes prodiges, oeuvrant dans Son Eglise, continuant l’oeuvre avec Son Eglise pour laquelle Il a payé le prix quand Il était ici sur terre par Son sacrifice suprême. Je crois cela de tout mon coeur. Je le crois parce que la Bible le dit, et parce que Dieu vient et confirme qu’il en est ainsi.
| E-72 Now, to make that plain to some of you, you new converts. Jesus said, "I can't heal the sick; I can't do a thing. First the Father shows Me a vision, and then I go act it out in drama, and do just what He told Me to do."
Look at the grave of Lazarus. Look at all the places through the Bible. He did just as the Father showed Him. He passed by the sick, the afflicted, dead, died on ever hand, and everything, but when the Father showed Him what to do, He went and done it.
Now, he said, "The things that I do shall you do also. And a little while and the world, the unbeliever, won't see me no more. Yet you shall see Me, you'll see Me." He promised that He'd be with us through the end of the age, the end of the world. The world hasn't come to the end yet. "Jesus Christ," the Bible said in Hebrews 13:8, "is the same yesterday, today, and forever." Is that right?
Well, my contention is here in Georgia, as it has been three times around the world now, that Jesus raised from the dead, and is alive tonight among men. And He's here in the same principle, same power, same signs, same wonders, working in His Church, continuing the work with His Church that He paid for while He was here on earth with His supreme Sacrifice. I believe that with all my heart. I believe it because the Bible said so, and because God comes and confirms it to be so.

A fellow named Philip got saved. He went out and called his friend, Nathanael. He found him under a tree, praying. Now, listen close. So he said, "Come, see Who I found, Jesus of Nazareth, the Son of Joseph."
Why, the man was a very good church member, real aristocratical sort of a fellow. He said, "Could there come any good thing out of Nazareth?" It was a mean little old city, cutthroats and things lived there. He said, "Come and see." That's a very good answer. "Come and see."

Nathanaël a dit: «Tu es le Fils de Dieu, Tu es le Roi d’Israël.»
Jésus a dit: «Parce que Je t’ai dit cela, tu crois? Tu verras de plus grandes choses que celle-ci.» Alors à cause de cela, il est devenu un croyant. Vous voyez? Il a vu de plus grandes choses. Certainement, et son nom est immortel ce soir.
Qu’est-ce que les enseignants, les pharisiens et les religieux de l’époque disaient à Son sujet? Ils disaient: «c’est un diseur de bonne aventure. Il est Béelzébul, le prince des démons. Et Il chasse les démons par le prince des démons.»
Jésus a dit: «Eh bien, si le diable chasse les démons, alors son royaume est divisé et il ne peut subsister.» Le diable ne peut pas guérir les malades.
| E-74 Well, he came. And when he walked up, perhaps, maybe as many people as standing here, was standing around where our Lord was speaking. And when He was speaking to people, well, the first thing you know, why, up come Philip, walking along, with Nathanael with him. Nathanael looked over to see Him, Jesus standing in a prayer line. He might've been in a prayer line for... Anyhow, he was in the Presence of Jesus. And He looked over and said, "Behold, an Israelite in whom there is no guile."
Now, if I'd say it in the words today, I'd say, "You're a Christian, a honest man." Quite astonishing.
He said, "Rabbi, when did You know me?"
Why, He said, "Before Philip called you, when you was under the tree I saw you."
He said, "Thou art the Son of God. You're the King of Israel."
He said, "Because I told you that, you believe? You'll see greater things than this." Because then, he just become a believer. You see? He could see greater things. And he did, and his name's immortal tonight.
What did the educators, and Pharisees, and religious of that day say about Him? They said, "He's a fortuneteller. He's Beelzebub, the prince of the Devils. And He casts out devils by the prince of the devils."
Jesus said, "Now, if the devil cast out devils, then his kingdom's divided and can't stand." The devil cannot heal the sick.

E-75 Quelqu’un m’a apostrophé l’autre jour là-dessus, et m’a appelé au téléphone disant: «Je ne suis pas d’accord avec vous.» Il a dit: «Ecoutez, lorsque Job... Lorsque Moïse et Aaron sont sortis, a-t-il dit, ces magiciens ont fait tout ce que Moïse avait fait.»
J’ai dit: «Hourra! Attendez un instant. Les magiciens pouvaient faire venir les malédictions, mais ils ne pouvaient pas les ôter. La guérison relève de Dieu seul.» Amen. C’est juste. Ils pouvaient faire venir les malédictions. Lorsqu’il y a eu une éruption des abcès, eux aussi ont fait venir cela. C’est juste. Ils pouvaient faire venir la malédiction, mais ils ne pouvaient pas l’ôter. En effet, Dieu a dit: «Je suis l’Eternel ton Dieu qui pardonne toutes tes iniquités, qui guérit toutes tes maladies.» Cela vient par Dieu seul.

I said, "Whoop, wait a minute. The magicians could bring the curses, but they couldn't take them away. Healing lays in God alone." Amen. That's right. They could bring it. When boils broke out, they broke out too. That's right. They could bring the curse, but they couldn't take it away. 'Cause God, "I am the Lord thy God that forgiveth all thy iniquities, Who healeth all of thy diseases." Comes through God alone.

Alors si Jésus, pendant qu’il se tenait dans une foule, une femme a touché Ses vêtements, et que Lui, ayant regardé dans la foule l’a retrouvée; si l’aveugle Bartimée, et toute cette masse de gens qui étaient là-bas ont pu être dans une telle agonie... Jésus ne pouvait l’entendre, bien sûr, c’était à une distance d’ici jusqu’à l’autre bout de cette salle, là-bas; et des milliers de gens se tenaient tout autour. Mais sa foi a touché Jésus. Il a dit: «Ta foi t’a guéri.» Vous voyez? «Ta foi...»
Il regardait les gens et Il discernait leurs pensées; la femme a touché Son vêtement, et elle s’est faufilée dans l’assistance. Il a regardé autour de Lui. Il a dit: «Quelqu’un M’a touché. Je me suis affaibli; la force est sortie de Moi.»
Et Il a promené le regard là dans l’auditoire pour voir qui c’était. Directement, Il a vu cette petite femme. Il lui a dit: «Eh bien, ta foi t’a guérie et ta perte de sang s’arrête.» Vous voyez? Parce qu’elle a cru.
| E-76 Now, I want you to remain seated. Now, in--in the line there, the prayer line, I suppose I'm strange to each and every one. Is that right? If you are, raise your hand. If you are a stranger to me, raise your hand. How many out in this audience that doesn't have a prayer card, and you want God to heal you tonight raise your hand, regardless... Oh, it's just a solid mass.
I'll say this: If I have correctly represented Jesus Christ to you, and I claim that this is a Divine gift sent from Him... Then if Jesus, standing in a crowd, and a woman touched His garment, and He looked out in the crowd and found her, if blind Bartimaeus, and all that mass over there, could be in such agony... Jesus couldn't hear him, of course, that distance is from here to the other end of the place down there, and thousands of people standing around. But his faith touched Him. He said, "Thy faith has made thee whole." See? "Thy faith..."
He looked upon the people, perceived their thoughts; the woman touched His garment, went out into the audience. He looked around. He said, "Somebody touched Me. I got weak; virtue went out."
And He looked around over the audience to see who it was; directly, He seen the little woman. He said, "Now, your faith healed you and your blood issue stops." See? Because she believed.

E-77 Maintenant, Jésus est vivant ce soir, se rendant manifeste dans l’esprit de l’homme. Il avait fait cela même avant la croix. Cela semble être une chose difficile à comprendre pour les gens, de toute façon. Avant la croix, Jésus était en Moïse. Jésus était en David. Jésus était en Joseph. Considérez la vie de ce dernier, ce qu’il avait accompli, c’était très exactement un reflet de la vie–de la Vie de Christ, deux mille ans avant même qu’il soit né. Vous voyez? Et Il est ici après la croix; Il est mort afin de pouvoir revenir et être parmi les hommes. Ainsi, Il est parmi les hommes, vivant ce soir. Combien croient cela? Que Dieu vous bénisse.
Naturellement, vous savez que je parle, attendant quelque chose. Je vais vous dire exactement ce que c’est. Il s’agit de cette Personne qui est juste ici, l’Ange du Seigneur. C’est exact, la Colonne de Feu du Seigneur. Je suis juste un homme comme vous, un pauvre–né pécheur, sauvé par grâce, juste comme vous.
Et plusieurs d’entre vous les anciens ici présents ce soir, vous étiez là jadis en train de prêcher, vous les baptistes, les méthodistes, les pentecôtistes et les nazaréens d’antan, vous étiez là jadis en train de prêcher lorsque j’étais un petit garçon. Je vous respecte, mon frère. Vous avez frayé le chemin, vous avez arraché les souches et d’autres choses, de sorte que lorsque ces choses-ci sont venues, elles pouvaient marcher sans problème. Je vous respecte et Dieu aussi. S’il y a un quelconque mérite à accorder à quelqu’un en ce jour-là, j’aimerais me tenir là et vous voir le recevoir. Que Dieu vous bénisse.
| E-77 Now, Jesus is alive tonight making Himself manifested in the spirit of man. He did even before the cross. That seems to be a hard thing for people to understand, somehow. Before the cross Jesus was in Moses. Jesus was in David. Jesus was in Joseph. Look at his life, carried out, just exactly portrays the life--the life of Christ, two thousand years even before He was born. See? And He's here after the cross; He died that He could come back and be among men. So He's among men tonight alive. How many believe it? God bless you.
Of course, you know I'm talking, waiting for something. I'll tell you just what it is. It's this Person right here, the Angel of Lord. It's exactly, the Pillar of Fire of the Lord. I'm just as you, a man, a poor--borned a sinner, saved by grace, just like you.
And many of you old-timers here tonight was back yonder preaching, you old Baptists, and Methodists, and Pentecostal, and Nazarene, was back yonder preaching when I was a little boy. I respect you, my brother. You've made the way, hewed out the stumps and things, so when these things come along, they could run clear. I respect you and so does God. If there's any credit to be given at the day, I want to stand and see you get it. God bless you.

Restons simplement en prière. Et s’Il parle, croyons au Seigneur de tout notre coeur. Je crois que le Seigneur Jésus accomplira ces choses, chacune d’elles.

Now, everybody real reverent, and be in prayer. Now, you can imagine my position standing here before this, I suppose, three thousand people, right on it, maybe more. And standing here, to this woman, a stranger... Would you like to walk up and take the place before the audience? See? Neither would I, but I'm depending on Him, the Lord Jesus. He promised, said, "I'll be with you."
And He has been to this time, and I believe He will, and will help me now, 'cause I believe Him and I trust Him. And I--I believe that He will do it. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, surely will help us tonight.
And let's just keep in prayer. And if He talks, believe on the Lord with all of our heart. And I trust that the Lord Jesus will bring these things to pass each one.

Mais je ne peux pas le faire, parce que ce n’est pas à l’homme de le faire; c’est Dieu qui fait le diagnostic.
Maintenant, s’Il me fait connaître la chose, exactement comme vous et moi nous sommes en train de parler, la femme au puits de Samarie parlait au Seigneur Jésus... Il lui a parlé suffisamment pour engager une conversation afin de contacter son esprit. Et c’est ce que je suis en train de faire, la même chose. Juste pour connaître. Et s’Il me révèle ce pour quoi vous êtes ici, allez-vous accepter cela comme étant Sa Présence, que c’est Lui qui fait cela, et allez-vous croire alors? Vous allez accepter cela. Si cela est–si ça concerne les finances, croyez-vous que vous recevrez cela? Si c’est pour le salut, croyez que vous l’obtiendrez, et si c’est... Ce que vous Lui demandez, croyez que vous le recevrez. Si Dieu me révèle le motif de votre présence ici, alors cela manifeste donc Sa Présence, ce que vous désirez. Vous tous, les autres, allez-vous faire la même chose, allez-vous croire de tout votre coeur? Très bien, croyez simplement.

But I can't do it, because it isn't in man to do it; it's God, diagnosing.
Now, if He will let me know, just like you and I talking, like the woman at the well of Samaria talked to the Lord Jesus. He talked to her just long enough to get a conversation to strike her spirit. And that's what I'm doing, the same thing. Just to know. And if He will reveal to me what you're here for, will you accept it as His Presence, and Him doing it, and will believe then? You'll accept it. If it's--if it's for finances, you believe you'll get it? If it's for salvation, you believe you'll get it, and if it's... Whatever you ask Him, you believe you'll get it. If God will reveal it to me what you're here for, then it shows Him then, what you want. Will the rest of you all do the same, believe with all your heart? All right, just believe.

Et puis, vous avez aussi subi un certain examen, il s’agit d’une grosseur à la colonne vertébrale. Vous avez une grosseur à la colonne vertébrale. Et puis, je vois l’homme regarder à votre poignet. Vous avez une grosseur au–au poignet droit, vous avez un...?... Avec une petite nodosité. Vous ne pouvez pas voir cela ici, mais ça se trouve là, de toute façon. C’est la vérité.
Et puis vous n’êtes pas d’ici. Je vous vois venir du sud, de cette direction. Et vous passez une rue, en train de marcher; il y a beaucoup de très grands palmiers, et vous êtes au bord de la mer. Là... Vous habitez une ville où les vagues de la mer roulent comme ceci, et c’est un... On dirait que c’est une ville que je suis censé connaître. Il s’agit de...?... Vous êtes de Miami. C’est de là que vous venez. C’est juste. Voilà. Maintenant, rentrez chez vous et soyez guérie. Jésus-Christ vous guérira, au Nom du Seigneur Jésus. Vous voyez?

'Course, he was trying to see, perhaps the vision struck at it does for all things, showed him that the man could walk. He just picked him up, 'cause he knowed that he could walk, after he'd seen the vision that he could walk.
Now, to you, your trouble... You've got a hernia in your back. It's in your back, where your trouble is. Then also, you've had an examination of some sort, and it's a growth on your spine. And he's--he's with somebody that's got wearing straws, or something another, that's got a...?... No, it's Foursquare, a Foursquare preacher. And he's kind of a husky fellow, and he's red-headed. That's right. Go home; you have what you ask for. Your faith makes you well. Amen.

And you're from, I believe, it's Bermuda Islands, or somewhere. It's one of those places where... off of a... [The sister says, "Bahamas"--Ed.] Yes. Where you're... Vous souffrez de la nervosité, surtout... Je vous vois, et c’est plutôt tard dans l’après-midi, comme cela, que vous devenez plus nerveuse, et parfois vous vous asseyez après avoir travaillé. Et puis, vous avez quelque chose qui cloche dans votre dos, c’est une maladie des reins, c’est dans votre dos. Et puis, vous avez... Vous portez des lunettes, et c’est à cause d’une vue faible. Et cela a été causé par une certaine chose qui était arrivée, comme un–comme la variole, ou quelque chose comme ça qui a touché vos yeux, il y a longtemps. C’est vrai.
Croyez-vous que vous êtes dans Sa Présence? Croyez-vous que c’est Lui qui parle au travers de moi? Ce n’était alors pas ma voix. C’était Sa voix à Lui. Maintenant, ceci c’est ma voix. Alors croyez-vous, s’Il est...?... Présent pour vous imposer les mains, ce qu’il dit arrivera? Ils seront guéris. Est-ce juste? Approchez. Then you have something wrong in your back, kidney trouble, that's in your back. Then you got... You're wearing your glasses, and that's from weak eyes. And that was caused from some kind of a something that happened, like a--as in smallpox, or something, settled in your eyes long ago. That is true.
You believe you're in His Presence? You believe that that's Him speaking through me? That wasn't my voice then, that was His. Now, this is mine. Do you believe then, if He's...?... present to lay hands on you, what'd He say would happen? They shall recover. Is that right? Come here.
