Notre Père céleste, nous Te remercions pour ce nouveau privilège que nous avons de nous rassembler ici dans ce grand et gigantesque tabernacle que notre frère bien-aimé T'a consacré il y a bien des années. Depuis lors, c'est une lumière qui brille dans le monde et qui a conduit la nation à prier de grand matin au travers de ses émissions.
Nous Te remercions pour tout ce pour quoi le Cadle Tabernacle prend position, et c'est Jésus-Christ. Et nous sommes reconnaissants pour le privilège que nous avons d'être rassemblés ici ce soir pour cette grande convention qui est en cours.
Nous prions, ô Père, pour que ceci soit un - un mémorial pour l'ensemble du monde des incroyants, un mémorial à savoir que Jésus-Christ vit et règne toujours. Accorde que Sa Présence soit avec nous ce soir et qu'elle soit si prédominante qu'elle va ôter chaque moindre doute. Et puisse le Saint-Esprit avoir la prépondérance sur l'orateur comme sur l'auditeur. Car nous le demandons au Nom de Ton Enfant Bien-Aimé, le Seigneur Jésus. Amen. Vous pouvez vous asseoir.
| E-1 Good evening, friends. Shall we bow our heads just for a word of prayer.
Our heavenly Father, we thank Thee for this another privilege that we have to assemble ourselves together in this great, mammoth tabernacle here where our beloved brother had dedicated to You long years ago: since then, has been a shining light to the world, led the nation to prayer early of a morning through their broadcast.
We thank Thee for everything that the Cadle Tabernacle stands for, and that is Jesus Christ. And we are grateful for the privilege of being assembled here tonight for this great convention that's going on.
We pray, Father, that this will be a--a memorial to all the world of the unbelievers, that Jesus Christ still lives and reigns. Grant that His Presence will be so with us tonight and so predominant, till it'll drive out every scratch of doubt, and the Holy Spirit may have the right of way in speaker and hearer. For we ask it in the Name of Thy beloved Child, the Lord Jesus. Amen. Be seated.

E-2 Que le Dieu du ciel vous bénisse tous richement ce soir, alors que nous servons en Son Nom. Et c'était... Hier soir, j'étais un peu en retard parmi vous, mais je... Satan travaille toujours aux deux bouts de la ligne, vous savez, et Dieu aussi.
Mais j'ai dû rouler vite pour arriver ici hier soir, et je ne m'étais jamais douté que vous étiez assis là à vous éventer, et - et j'ai, moi-même, oh! j'avais chaud aussi, ici. Mais, par la grâce de Dieu, nous essayons d'échapper à un endroit où il fait plus chaud. Et - et alors...
On n'aura donc même pas ce genre d'éventail, là en bas. Nous sommes donc reconnaissants de ne pas aller là. Et nous essayons d'amener avec nous tous ceux que nous pouvons dans l'autre direction. C'est par la grâce que nous disons cela, travaillant à notre salut avec crainte et tremblement dans notre coeur. Que le Seigneur vous bénisse.
| E-2 May the God of heaven bless you all richly tonight, as we minister in His Name. And it was... Last night I was just a little late with you, but I... Always Satan working on both ends of the line, you know, and so does God.
But I had to drive fast to get here last evening, and I never thought about you setting there fanning, and--and I have, myself, why, I was hot, too, up here. But we're trying to, by the grace of God, to escape a hotter place. And--and then...
So we won't even have this kind of a fan down there. So we're thankful that we're not going that way. And we're trying to take everyone we can with us the other way. We say that by grace with fear and trembling in our heart, working out our own salvation. May the Lord bless you.

E-3 Combien ici connaissent F. F. Bosworth? Faites voir vos mains. Il y a quelques instants, je viens de recevoir de lui un appel venant de loin. On pense qu'il est mourant, et il a près de cent ans, il a prêché juste du haut de cette chaire. Il y a des années, il a tenu de grandes campagnes ici depuis le Cadle Tabernacle. J'ai été son proche collaborateur durant ces huit ou dix dernières années. Il a été outre-mer avec moi. Et il a près de, il est très avancé en âge, il a près de cent ans, et dernièrement il était trop faible pour se déplacer.
Et madame Bosworth m'a téléphoné, elle a dit qu'il était très malade. Je l'ai rassurée que nous qui sommes ici ce soir au tabernacle, nous nous joindrions dans la prière pour frère Bosworth. Et à présent, faisons-le tandis que nous inclinons la tête.
| E-3 How many in here knows F. F. Bosworth? Let's see your hands. Just got a long distance call from him a few moments ago. They think he's dying, and he's nearly a hundred years old, preached right off this pulpit here. Had great campaigns here years ago from the Cadle Tabernacle. I've been closely associated with him for the past eight or ten years. He's been overseas with me. And nearing way up near a hundred years old, and he's just been too feeble to get around lately.
And Mrs. Bosworth called me, said that he was very sick. I give her the assurance that we, the people here at the tabernacle tonight, would join in prayer for Brother Bosworth. And now, shall we do that as we bow our heads.

E-4 Notre Père céleste, alors que je regardais ce vieux patriarche de l'Evangile, je l'ai vu se tenir vaillamment à la chaire, sans crainte, proclamer le glorieux Message du Seigneur Jésus, et savoir qu'il est âgé et vieux comme il l'est ce soir, qu'il est étendu là à Miami dans un état très critique, savoir que ce soir je me tiens sur ses traces ici, à la même chaire où il s'est tenu il y a bien des années prêchant les richesses insondables de Jésus-Christ...
Et apparemment, autant que nous sachions, il est presqu'à la fin de son voyage. Et nous prions, ô Père, que si c'est le cas, que Tu reçoives son âme en paix. Mais si cela est possible, nous demandons que si Tu as encore un petit travail qu'il doit faire ici sur terre, que Tu l'épargnes de ce siège. Ce sont là nos prières alors que nous sommes des milliers ce soir à venir auprès de Toi avec ferveur. Et sans doute qu'à travers le monde, si seulement les gens le savaient, ils seraient en train de prier pour lui.
Délivre-le, nous T'en supplions, ô Dieu. Et nous Te demandons de réconforter son épouse et ses enfants alors qu'ils attendent une réponse du Ciel. Nous sommes si heureux de savoir que ses péchés sont sous le Sang, il était un vaillant soldat ayant plusieurs étoiles qui brillent là-bas, non seulement là-bas, mais aussi ici sur terre, en tant qu'un ministre qui allait prêcher l'Evangile, comme il le disait. Et nous prions sincèrement pour frère Bosworth, de tout notre coeur, au Nom de Jésus-Christ. Amen. Que Dieu bénisse sa vaillante âme.
| E-4 Our heavenly Father, as I've looked upon that aged patriarch of the Gospel, seen him stand gallantly in the pulpit without a fear, proclaiming the great message of the Lord Jesus, knowing that aged and old as he is tonight, and laying there in Miami in a very serious condition. Knowing that I'm standing tonight in his tracks here, where he stood at the same pulpit many years ago preaching the unsearchable riches of Jesus Christ...
And seemingly, as far as we know that he's near his end of the journey. And we pray, Father, if that be so, that You'll receive his soul in peace. But if it be possible, we ask that if You have a little work yet for him to do here on earth, that You'll spare him out of this siege. That's our prayers as we go thousands strong to You tonight. And no doubt, around the clock, if they only knew this, they're praying for him.
Deliver him, we pray, God. And we ask that You'll comfort his wife and his children as they are waiting answer from heaven. We're so glad to know that his sins are under the Blood, was a gallant soldier with many shining stars yonder, not only there, but here on earth as a minister going out preaching the Gospel as he set forth. And we pray for Brother Bosworth, sincerely with all of our hearts in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen. May God bless his gallant soul.

E-5 Eh bien, frère Bosworth s'est tenu à mes côtés dans plusieurs grandes batailles. Nous sommes rentrés de l'Afrique, il y a quelques années. Et non seulement cela, et il vit tout ce qu'il enseigne. Vous savez, il vaut mieux me vivre un sermon plutôt que de m'en prêcher un. Je crois que c'est beaucoup mieux. Nous avons tous ce même sentiment là-dessus. Vivez-moi un sermon. Nous sommes des lettres écrites qui sont lues de tous les hommes.
| E-5 Now, Brother Bosworth has stood with me in many great battles. Few years ago, we come from Africa. And yet a man nearing eighty, he was still good at the battlefront.
And I believe, I don't say this to be prejudice, not because he's sick, but I said it on tapes and around the world: that I believe Brother Bosworth knows more of the Bible on Divine healing than any man I ever met in my life. That's right.
And not only that, but he lives everything he teaches. You know it's better to live me a sermon than preach me one. I think that's lots better. We all feel that way about it. Live me a sermon. We're written epistles, read of all men.

E-6 Bon, j'avais juste certaines choses ici que je désirais dire juste avant que nous commencions la prédication. Maintenant, demain soir... Ce soir, je vais encore prêcher sur la guérison divine, et demain soir, il se peut que je change de programme un tout petit peu, pour prier encore pour les malades.
Mais des fois, lors des réunions on se demande ce qui m'affaiblit. Je voudrais répondre à cette question aussi vite que possible. Il n'y a pas moyen de donner une réponse à cela. Des fois, on ne me laisse rester que quelques instants. Voici les jeunes gens assis ici dans le parterre. Frère Wood est quelque part, mon fils se tiendra au bout de la ligne. Ils veillent sur moi. Il s'agit d'une onction. C'est dans un autre monde.
Vous chercheurs scientifiques, il s'agit d'une autre dimension. Vous remontez le courant du temps dans la vie d'un homme ou d'une femme. C'est la prescience de Dieu qui me montre ce qui a été et ce qui sera.
| E-6 Now, I had just a few things here I wanted to say just before we start to speak. Now, tomorrow night... I'm speaking tonight again on Divine healing, and tomorrow night may change the program just a little bit, still praying for the sick.
But sometimes, it's questioned in the meeting what makes me weak. I want to answer that question right quick that I can. There's no way of answering it. Sometimes they don't let me stay but just a few moments. Here sets the boys in the pit here. Brother Wood is somewhere, which will be standing at the end of the line, my son. They watch me. It's an anointing. It's in another world.
To you scientific searchers, it's another dimension. You're going back down the stream of time through a man or woman's life. It's foreknowledge of God that tells me what was and what will be.

E-7 Il n'y a ri-... rien qui puisse guérir. Il y a... La guérison a déjà été acquise au Calvaire. Nulle autre guérison ne peut provenir d'ailleurs. C'est déjà fait. Il s'agit de votre foi individuelle dans le Seigneur Jésus.
C'est pourquoi, je puis dire ceci. Avez-vous remarqué ce que dit Saint Jean 5 que je vous ai demandé de lire hier soir. Dès que la première personne était guérie, toute la vertu de l'Ange quittait l'eau.
Daniel, le prophète, eut une vision, il dit que son esprit était rempli d'épouvante pendant plusieurs jours.
Une femme toucha le vêtement du Seigneur Jésus et Celui-ci dit: "Je sens que la force M'a quitté", Il s'est affaibli, Il devenait faible.
On pense que beaucoup de gens qui sont spirituels ou des prophètes sont des névrosés. Combien savent cela? Prenons quelques exemples dans le naturel, afin que l'homme naturel puisse comprendre cela. Prenons, je pense, Steven Foster, le plus grand compositeur des chansons populaires américaines, c'était un poète. Et il entrait dans l'inspiration, et quand il se retrouvait là-haut, il écrivait une chanson. Puis, quand il redescendait, il - il s'enivrait. Il ne savait simplement pas quoi faire de lui-même.
Finalement, une fois qu'il était sorti de l'inspiration, il a appelé un serviteur, puis il a pris un rasoir et s'est suicidé: Steven Foster.
| E-7 No--nothing can heal. There's... Healing is already purchased at Calvary. No other healing can come but there. It's already done. It's your individual faith in the Lord Jesus.
Therefore, I might say this. Did you notice in Saint John 5 as I asked you to read last night. All the virtue of the Angel went off the water, the first one was healed.
Daniel, the prophet, saw one vision, he said he was troubled at his head for many days. A woman touched the garment of the Lord Jesus, and He said, "I perceive that virtue has gone from Me," got weak, weakness.
Many people who are spiritual or prophets are considered neurotics. How many knows that? Let's just take a few of the natural where the natural man would understand it. Let's take, I think, America's greatest folk-song writer was Steven Foster, he was a poet. And he wind his way into inspiration, and when he got up there, he'd write a song. Then when he come down, he would--he would get on a drunk. He just didn't know what to do with himself.
Finally, one time coming out of inspiration, he called a servant, and took a razor, and committed suicide: Steven Foster.

E-8 Combien ont déjà entendu parler de ce William Cowper qui a composé ce célèbre cantique Il y a une fontaine remplie de Sang, tiré des veines d'Emmanuel, où, les pécheurs qui plongent dans ce flot perdent toutes les taches de leur culpabilité. Il n'y a pas longtemps, je me tenais près de sa tombe à Londres, en Angleterre. J'y étais pour prier pour le Roi Georges. J'ai incliné la tête et j'ai pleuré. On le prenait pour un névrosé, un fou.
Quand il eut composé ce cantique, Il y a une fontaine remplie de Sang (beaucoup d'entre vous en ont entendu l'histoire), il monta dans un taxi et chercha à trouver une rivière pour se suicider. L'inspiration l'avait quitté. Il ne savait pas où il en était.
Considérez Jonas, le prophète. Dieu lui donna un Message. Et il Le prêcha avec une telle ardeur dans une ville plus grande qu'Indianapolis. Et il parcourait les rues en proclamant le Message de Dieu avec une telle ardeur que les gens mirent le sac même sur leurs animaux. Mais quand l'inspiration le quitta, il s'assit sous un petit ricin et pria que Dieu lui ôte la vie (vous voyez?), quand il est sorti de l'inspiration.
| E-8 How many ever heard of this William Cowper that wrote that famous song, "There Is a Fountain filled with Blood drawn from Emmanuel's veins, where sinners plunge beneath the flood, lose all their guilty stains." I stood by his grave not long ago in London, England. Was there to pray for King George. Bowed my head and cried. He was considered a neurotic, crazy.
When he wrote that song, "There is a Fountain Filled With Blood," (many of you has heard the history of it), he got in a cab and tried to find the river to commit suicide. He dropped down out of inspiration. He didn't know where he was at.
Look at Jonah, the prophet. God gave him a message. And he preached it with such force to a city larger than Indianapolis. And he went through the streets proclaiming the message of God with such force, till even the people put sackcloth on their animals.
And when the inspiration left him, he set under a little gourd tree and prayed for God to take his life (See?), coming out of inspiration.

E-9 Il y eut Dan ou plutôt Elie, le prophète. Dieu lui donna l'inspiration; il appela tous les prophètes des Baals et prouva que Dieu était Dieu. Il fit descendre le feu du ciel et le même jour la pluie tomba. Mais quand l'inspiration le quitta, il erra dans le désert pendant quarante jours et quarante nuits, et Dieu le retrouva en retrait quelque part dans une caverne. Est-ce juste?
Que cela ne vous étonne donc pas. C'est Dieu. Il n'y a pas moyen d'expliquer cela. C'est tout simplement Dieu. On entre dans un autre monde. Et quand on en revient... Si une seule vision a rempli d'épouvante l'esprit de Daniel pendant plusieurs jours, quel effet, pensez-vous, aurait une succession de visions?
Si le fait que la femme a tiré une fois la force, celle qui tira le don de Dieu qui était dans Son Fils, Jésus-Christ, cela fit que la force sorte du Fils de Dieu et qu'Il s'affaiblisse, qu'est-ce que cela ferait à un pécheur sauvé par la grâce, quand le même Esprit est à l'oeuvre?
| E-9 There was Dan, or Elijah, the prophet. God gave him inspiration; he called all the prophets of Baalim and proved that God was God. He brought fire out of heaven and it rained the same day. And when the inspiration left him, he wandered in the wilderness for forty days and nights, and God found him pulled up in a cave somewhere. Is that right?
So don't wonder at that. It's God. There's no way to explain it. It's just God. You go off into another world. And when you return back... If one vision would make Daniel feel troubled at his head for many days, what do you think one vision after vision after vision?
If one pulling of virtue from the woman, that pulled the gift of God through His Son, Christ Jesus, would make virtue go out of the Son of God, and He'd get weak; what would it do to a sinner saved by grace, the same Spirit working?

E-10 Et parfois les gens pensent que c'est quelque chose que moi je pourrais faire pour eux. Il n'y a rien que je puisse faire. Si c'était en mon pouvoir et que je refusais de le faire, je serais une brute. La seule chose que je puisse faire pour vous, c'est de vous montrer l'Agneau de Dieu qui a tout accompli pour vous.
Bon, je ne suis pas un très bon prédicateur, mais mon don c'est autre chose. Et tout ce qui va avec la prédication doit être basé sur la Parole. Et tout cela contribue à confirmer la Présence du Dieu vivant parmi nous. Et cela vient entièrement de Dieu.
Et ainsi, des fois, quand nous distribuons des cartes de prière, c'est afin de maintenir la ligne dans l'ordre. Ce sont les gens pour lesquels on a prié qui ont amené cela. Il y a des années, vous les vieux habitués de ce tabernacle, plutôt vous qui êtes habitués à venir... Vous vous souvenez quand monsieur Bosworth tenait ses lignes de prière ici au Cadle Tabernacle, il y a peut-être vingt, trente ans ou plus? C'est de cette manière qu'il priait pour les gens, en les alignant.
| E-10 And sometimes, people are thinking that it would be something that I could do for them. There's nothing I can do. If I could and wouldn't do it, I'd be a brute. The only thing I can do to you is point you to the Lamb of God that's done all for you.
Now, I'm not much of a preacher, but my gift is something else. And all that works together with preaching has to be based on the Word. And all that works together to confirm the Presence of the living God with us. And it's altogether of God.
And sometimes that way when we give out prayer cards, that's to keep a line in order. The men that we just prayed for was the one who introduced it. Years ago, you old customers here at the tabernacle, accustomed to coming, rather... You remember when Mr. Bosworth had his prayer lines here in the Cadle Tabernacle, maybe twenty, thirty years ago or more? That's the way he prayed for them by lining them up.

E-11 Oh! il envoyait à tous - à chaque pasteur cent ou deux cents cartes de prière, mais (ceux qui coopéraient dans les réunions) ça ne marchait pas. La première fois que nous sommes allés là, le premier pasteur a fait entrer son groupe et l'affaire était réglée. Les autres ne sont pas entrés. Cela a engendré une dispute entre les ministres.
Ensuite nous avons commencé à prendre quelqu'un avec nous et à le laisser distribuer toutes les cartes de prière le premier jour. Tous ceux qui étaient là, les premiers venus étaient les premiers servis. Avec cela, l'homme qui ne pouvait pas être là le premier jour, était exclu, c'était inutile qu'il vienne. Il ne pourrait jamais entrer dans la ligne de prière; en effet, s'il venait le deuxième jour où à la seconde heure, il n'avait pas de chance.
Ainsi donc, nous avons commencé à inviter quelqu'un à venir avec nous pour distribuer les cartes de prière chaque jour. Et quand nous faisions cela, nous faisions asseoir un petit enfant sur un siège de devant et il se mettait à compter. Là où il s'arrêtait de compter, c'est par-là que nous commencions. Croyez-le si vous voulez, les gens mettaient leurs enfants là-haut, qui savaient dans quel lot se trouvait la carte de prière de leur maman. Ça ne pouvait pas marcher.
| E-11 Oh, he used to send all--each minister a hundred or two prayer cards but--that was cooperating in the meetings... That wouldn't work. The first time we got there, the first minister got his group in and that settled it. The rest of them didn't get in. It caused contention among the ministers.
Then we went to taking someone with us and let them give out all the prayer cards the first day. All was there, first come, first serve. That cut the man that couldn't get there on the first day, there was no need of coming. He'd never get in the prayer line, because if he come in the second day or the second hour, he didn't get a chance.
So then, we started to having someone to come along with us and give out prayer cards every day. And when we would do that, we would let some little child set on a front seat and start counting. Wherever he stopped counting, there we'd start. Believe it or not, people put their little children up there, know just where mommy's prayer card was at. That wouldn't work.

E-12 Nous avons donc eu bien des choses. Ainsi, nous distribuons chaque jour de nouvelles cartes de prière. Les nouveaux venus ont le - le droit, ou plutôt doivent entrer pour obtenir une carte de prière. Cependant, la carte de prière ne signifie rien, et chaque soir... On ne commence pas par le numéro un, on commence peut-être par le numéro dix, vingt, trente, cinquante, quatre-vingt-dix, cent ou quelque chose comme ça et on compte à rebours, en avançant et on les mélange et dans tous les sens.
Ainsi, personne ne le sait. Personne. Les hommes qui les distribuent ne savent pas. Même moi-même, je ne sais pas jusqu'à ce que j'arrive ici. Et où que je me sente conduit de commencer, c'est à partir de là que je commence. Nous n'en prenons pas beaucoup ici. En effet, la seule chose, c'est de faire que l'inspiration se mette en marche. C'est bien dommage que nous n'ayons que cinq jours dans ce grand tabernacle. Juste au moment où nous avons dissipé toute crainte, quand vous n'avez plus peur de moi, c'est alors le moment de partir.
Observez tout simplement comment les réunions - comment la - la - la puissance croît continuellement dans la réunion. Observez comment l'Esprit se déploie quand vous commencez à chasser ce petit doute de votre esprit, voyez comment Il va là et saisit la chose. Il y a plus de guérisons là dans l'auditoire que sur l'estrade, bien des fois plus.
| E-12 So we had many things. So each day we'd give out new prayer cards. The newcomers has a--a right, or to get in--to get a prayer card. But the prayer card doesn't mean nothing, and every night... We don't start from number one, we start from maybe ten, twenty, thirty, fifty, ninety, a hundred or somewhere and come backwards, forwards and mix them up and every way.
So no one knows. No, one. The men who are giving them out never knows. I don't even know myself till I get here. And wherever I feel led to start, that's where I start from. We don't get too many up here. Because the only thing it is to do is get the inspiration started. It's too bad we just only have five days in this big tabernacle. Just about the time we get all the spooks away, where you're not scared of me, then it's time to go.
Just watch how the meeting--how the--the--the power of the meeting grows each time. Watch how the Spirit reaches out when you begin to get that little thing of doubt away from your mind, watch how He goes out there and catches it. There's more healed out in the audience than there is on the platform, many times more.

E-13 Il ne s'agit pas de me toucher moi; il s'agit de Le toucher, Lui. Eh bien, en Amérique, c'est très difficile de faire comprendre cela aux gens. Ils sont habitués à ce qu'on leur impose les mains. C'est tout à fait en ordre. Mais ça, c'était la vieille tradition juive. La tradition des Gentils c'était: "Je ne suis pas digne que Tu viennes sous mon toit, prononce simplement la Parole et mon serviteur vivra." Il connaissait l'autorité de la Parole, en effet il dit qu'il était un homme soumis à des serviteurs.
Ainsi donc, voilà pourquoi nous distribuons des cartes de prière. Tout le monde peut en obtenir une chaque soir quand les jeunes gens les distribuent.
Et maintenant, l'essentiel c'est de se tenir là avec un coeur ouvert et de dire: "Seigneur Jésus, je crois." Et je mets votre foi au défi. Voyez ce qui arrive quand vous faites cela. Du fond de votre âme, débarrassez-vous de toute chose, dites: "Seigneur, je crois."
Maintenant, il m'est tout à fait impossible de savoir qui est qui, et ce que Lui va dire, mais Lui-même le sait. C'est fait de façon souveraine. Je ne peux pas faire opérer cela. Ce serait de la télépathie. Ce n'est pas moi qui fais agir cette Chose, c'est Elle qui me fait agir. Ce n'est pas moi qui fais agir Cela. Regardez donc tout simplement, vivez et croyez.
| E-13 The idea isn't to touch me; it's touch Him. Now, America, it's very hard to get it to them. They're used to people laying their hands on them. That's all right. But that was the old Jewish custom. The Gentile custom was, "I'm not worthy for You to come under my roof, just speak the Word and my servant will live." He knew the authority of the Word, 'cause He said He was a man under authority.
So now, that's why we give out prayer cards. Everyone can have one each night as the boys give them out.
And now, the main thing is to set with a open heart and say, "Lord Jesus, I believe." And I challenge your faith. You see what happens if you'll do that. From the depths of your soul just take everything away from you, say, "Lord, I believe."

En effet, nous avons plus de péchés et d'incrédulité que le monde ait jamais connus. C'est là que réside votre problème. Cela a été prédit ainsi.
| E-14 Now, I want to say this that maybe medical doctors are setting close. I want to say this to the medical doctors. If I have it down here, that we have nothing against the practice of medicine, or surgery, hospitals, or whatever it is. We're very grateful for those things in these days. They shouldn't be needed, but under the conditions that we live under, we must have them. God never intended a man to have operations and so forth. We'll get into that later.
But if we have to have them... And we're grateful for the doctors, but do you know what? Of all... We're living in the day when we got the best doctors we ever had. We got the best drugs we ever practiced with. The best hospitals we've ever known to have. And we got more sickness and diseases the world ever known. Because we got more sin and unbelief than the world ever know. There's where your trouble lays is there. It's predicted that way.

E-15 De tous les bons médicaments (juste pour ceci alors que nous continuons), de tous les bons médicaments que nous avons au monde, pas un seul ne peut guérir une quelconque maladie. Le savez-vous? Nous n'avons pas un seul médicament susceptible de guérir une quelconque maladie. Nous n'avons pas un seul médicament susceptible de guérir un gros rhume ordinaire. Chaque année, des centaines de gens, y compris les médecins, meurent de suite d'un gros rhume.
Nous n'avons pas une seule maladie capable de guérir une entaille de couteau. Pour un cas aussi simple qu'une entaille de couteau, nous n'avons pas un seul médicament qui puisse guérir cela. Pourquoi? Dieu a dit qu'Il guérit chaque maladie.
Ecoutez ceci, je voudrais vous poser une question. Par exemple, qu'en serait-il ce soir si j'avais à la main une entaille faite avec un couteau, juste ici sur l'estrade? Il n'existe point de médicament au monde qui puisse guérir cette entaille. Maintenant, écoutez attentivement.

We haven't got one disease that would heal a knife cut. As common a thing as a knife cut, we haven't got one medicine that'll heal it. Why? God said He healed all the sickness.
Looky here, I want to ask you something. For instance, what tonight if I got a knife cut in my hand, right here on the platform; there isn't a medicine in the world could heal that cut. Now, listen close.

E-16 Tout médicament qui guérirait une entaille de couteau dans ma main guérirait une entaille de couteau dans ma veste. Cela guérirait une entaille de couteau sur ce pupitre. Maintenant, vous dites: "Frère Branham, vous devenez un fanatique. Le médicament n'a pas été fait pour guérir votre veste. Il a été fait pour guérir votre main."

All right, let it--me cut my hand, and I'll fall dead, and they come and take me over to the morgue and con--inject some kind of a fluid into me that'll make me look natural for fifty years. Call the best doctors in the world, let them sew that place up, give me a shot of penicillin every day, put sulfa drug in it and everything you wish to. And in fifty years from the day that cut's just exactly the way it was when it was made.
If medicine was made to heal--heal a human body, why don't it heal it then? Is that right? Why? Medicine doesn't build tissue. Medicine only keeps it clean while God builds tissue, only nature can.

There was something mentally wrong. He'd say, "I can set your arm. That's... I study the anatomy. I can set a bone, but there's one Healer, that's God." God has to produce the calcium and the--and the stuff that goes into the bone to heal it.
God cannot... I mean, man cannot create cells. Why, you say, "Brother Branham, the reason that--that that don't heal is, because the life has gone out of your body." That's right.
Now, if the life's gone out of the body, then why don't the medicine heal? Because medicine's not the healer. Life is the healer. And if you tell me what life is, I'll tell you Who God is. That's... He come that you might have life abundantly. It's life that does it. If you could only understand that.

She said, "All right." I said, "Where was they 'fore I got them?" They was not, then they were, then they are not. Wherever they was before that I got them, they're there waiting for me to come to them. Amen. That's right. Amen. Thank you.

"Pfftt [Brother Branham illustrates--Ed.]." Brought up a few... What our body's made out of? A few petroleums and cosmic light and potash and so forth [Blank.spot.on.tape--Ed.]... mold it together, and spoke it into existence, and put the Angels in it, and stepped in Hisself when He was hungry.
After He blessed Abraham and told him what would happen, stepped right out of it, and into eternity again. That's our God.
So what makes any difference where we're perishing in the grave yard or what makes it. If our soul's anchored in Christ, we got assurance of the resurrection some glorious day. That's right.

E-21 Toutes ces petites choses qui sont maintenant en mouvement, ces petites roues, ces roues mortelles qui tournent, le tout relève du programme de Dieu. C'est juste. Savez-vous que nous sommes les bénéficiaires de cette police. Croyez-vous cela? Les bienfaits. Vous avez presque tous une police d'assurance, n'est-ce pas? Aujourd'hui c'est le cas pour presque tout le monde, certains d'entre vous n'ont pas d'assurance. Moi-même je n'en ai pas.
| E-21 All these little things that's moving on now, these little wheels, mortal wheels that's turning, all come by the program of God. That's right. So He knows how to take care of them if you'll just let Him have them. If you keep them, you'll lose them. If you give them to Him, you'll find them. That's right. But you be sure to give it to Him and give all your mind and your thoughts to Him tonight, now, that He can have the right of way in your heart. Dash aside, lay aside every sin, that's unbelief, and the weight does so easily beset you, now, that we might run this race with patience that's set before us, looking to the example, Jesus Christ, God's Son.
Now, for a Scripture reading and I was looking at this clock last night and it had two o 'clock, and it's still got two o'clock. So I better lay my watch out.
Now, in Psalms a 103, we read this:
Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
Do you know on this policy we have beneficial. Do you believe that? Benefits. Nearly all of you have an insurance policy, don't you? Pretty near everybody does today, some of you insurance poor. I don't have any myself.

I said, "Blessed assurance Jesus is mine, O what a foretaste of glory Divine, heir of salvation purchased of God, borned of His Spirit, washed in His Blood."
He says, "That's very good, Billy, but that won't put you in a graveyard."
I said, "But it'll get me out. I'm not worried about getting in. It's getting out." And that's...

E-23 La nature me dit que j'irai là; Dieu m'a dit qu'Il m'en fera sortir. C'est donc l'essentiel. J'ai besoin de l'assurance pour en sortir. Je voudrai dire comme Paul: "Ce bras de mer sombre est devant chacun de nous. Chaque battement du coeur nous rapproche d'un pas de ce grand lieu sombre appelé la mort."
Mais lorsque j'arriverai à la fin de mon voyage, quand mon coeur cessera de battre, je ne veux pas être un lâche; je veux m'envelopper de Sa robe de justice, entrer là-dedans, sachant ceci que je Le connais dans Sa puissance de résurrection, sachant que lorsqu'Il m'appellera d'entre les morts, je sortirai. C'est l'essentiel. Voilà l'assurance que nous avons ce soir, l'assurance bénie.
La Bible dit: "N'oublie pas tous les bienfaits de cette police d'assurance." Eh bien, quand vous avez cette assurance, vous avez aussi les bienfaits. David a crié: "Et n'oublie aucun de Ses bienfaits." Quels sont-ils, David? "C'est Lui qui pardonne toutes tes iniquités; c'est Lui qui guérit toutes tes maladies." Quel merveilleux compliment avons-nous ici à considérer! Creusons là-dedans juste un instant.
| E-23 Nature tells me I'll go there; God told me He'd bring me out. So that's the main thing. I want the assurance of coming out. I want to say as Paul said, "That big, dark channel that's set before each one of us. Every time our heart beat, we go one step closer to that big, dark place called death."
But when I come to the end of my journey, my heart stopping to beat, I don't want to be a coward; I want to wrap myself in the robes of His righteousness, enter into that, knowing this I know Him in the power of His resurrection, knowing that when He calls from among the dead, I'll come out. That's the main thing. That's the assurance that we're in tonight: the blessed assurance.
The Bible said, "Forget not all the benefits of this policy." Now, while you got this assurance, you got a benefit too. David cried, "And forget not all His benefits." What are they David? "Who forgiveth all of thine iniquity; Who healeth all of thy diseases." What a beautiful greeting we have here under consideration. Let's dig into it just for a minute.

E-24 Dieu... Quand l'homme fut créé et placé ici sur la terre, nous voyons qu'il n'était pas créé pour pécher. Il était créé un homme parfait. C'est le péché qui a causé la chute. Et maintenant, il a deux aspects. D'un côté il est - il est esprit, de l'autre, il est physique. D'un côté, il est céleste, un fils de Dieu, de l'autre, c'est une créature qui a une destination. Et il doit retourner à la poussière à cause de la chute. Et Jésus est venu pour racheter cet homme.
Bon, je voudrais que vous fassiez attention. La maladie et le péché sont si intimement liés que c'est presque comme l'âme et le corps. C'est inséparable. L'homme est voué à la mort. Son âme est chargée de péchés, et son corps est plein de maladies, et la sentence de la mort a été prononcée sur lui. Il doit s'en aller. Son âme est malade ainsi que son corps.
Et Jésus est venu pour racheter les deux (C'est juste), pas juste une seule chose. Son âme... Il est venu apporter la pleine rédemption. Et maintenant, nous n'avons que le gage de notre plein salut. Si donc il n'y a point de guérison divine, il n'y a point de résurrection du corps. C'est exact.
| E-24 God... When man was made and put here on earth, we find out that he was made not to sin. He was made a perfect man. Sin's what caused the fall. And now, he's in a twofold aspect. He is, one, he is spirit. Next, he's material. One, he's heavenly, a son of God. The next, he's a creature of destination. And he's got to be gone back to the dust on the account of the fall. And Jesus came to redeem that man.
Now, I want you to notice. Sickness and sin is so closely associated together, that it's almost like the soul and body. It's inseparable. Man's got to die. His soul is full of sin, and his body is full of sickness, and death is pronounced on him. He's got to go. His soul is sick and his body is sick.
And Jesus come to redeem both of them (That's right.), not just one. His soul... He came to bring complete redemption. And we only have the earnest of our complete salvation now. If there is no Divine healing now, there's no resurrection of the body. That's correctly.

E-25 Nous n'avons qu'un avant-goût de la gloire divine. Qu'en sera-t-il quand nous Le verrons face à face? Qu'en sera-t-il quand nous... Si le Dieu Tout-Puissant peut guérir une personne atteinte du cancer, quelqu'un qui n'est plus qu'une ombre et la rétablir, que sera cette glorieuse résurrection, quand Il reviendra? Et juste quelque temps après, vous avez commencé à dire: "Maman, voilà des rides qui apparaissent sous tes yeux. Papa, tes cheveux commencent à devenir gris." Que se passe-t-il? La mort s'installe. C'est exact.
| E-25 We just have a foretaste of glory Divine. What will it be when we see Him face to face? What will it be when we... If God Almighty can heal a cancer ridden person, nothing but a shadow and raise them up, what will that glorious resurrection be when He comes?
God put you here on earth... Many of you men and women here tonight turning gray, a few years ago, you were sweethearts, walked down at the altar and got married. You remember how mother looked, how pretty? Those beautiful eyes and how dad's hair was flowing black, it hasn't... Just a little while, you begin to say, "Mother, there's a wrinkle coming under those eyes. Dad, there's some gray coming into that hair." What's the matter? Death set in. That's correct.

No, way in the world to scientifically prove it. We don't look to science. We look to God.

Then why shouldn't we believe in supernatural things, if the entire armor of the Christian faith is supernatural? We look at the unseen. Not what we see. Everything we see is perishable, come from the earth. But we look at things we do not see, and by faith we believe it and accept it.

| E-28 What is diseases? What is this dreadful thing that comes upon people? Let's diagnose it just a moment.
Some people has went so much to say that sickness was a blessing. I heard a minister on the radio here not long ago, say that God put sickness on people to show their humility, and to suffer for Him, and to show patience. If that would be the truth, then Jesus defeated His own cause. He defeated His own purpose.
Never one place in the Bible is that Scriptural, any apostle, or any prophet, or even Jesus Himself, ever declared that to be truth. That's negative thinking.
And you're only trying to excuse your unbelief, preacher, by hiding behind such theory as that. That's not God's Word. What we need today is an old fashion God-sent revival, back to the Bible and the baptism of the Holy Spirit preached in the power of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, to bring people back to a living faith and a resurrected God, not some dead theology that's been gone years ago and hatched off of different denominations. We need a Bible living faith.

And if she hasn't been with the male bird, the mate, them eggs will never hatch. They'll rotten right in the nest. That's correct.

As I've often said, "What's the use of giving your bird good food, vitamins to strengthen his wings to make him fly and keep him in a cage all the time?" And first he has to have a way. Ask the doctor. If your body was perfect and like God made it in the beginning, it would be impossible to get sick. But the devil has to find a weakness somewhere to pervert.

Now, what does the doctor do? The doctor cuts that out. If there's one little speck left, it'll live on.
Now, Divine healing doesn't deal so much with taking away that growth. Divine healing deals with the devil that's inside of us, the germ, the life.

Comment un homme peut-il prêcher le salut et ne pas traiter... Comment peut-on traiter du péché de quelque manière que ce soit sans traiter de la maladie? C'est impossible.
Nous prêchons toujours sur le péché et l'appelons péché. C'est juste comme un gros animal qui m'aurait attrapé et serait en train de m'arracher les côtes. Il n'est pas nécessaire de couper cette patte, frappez-le tout simplement à la tête; cela tue le corps entier. Et quand Jésus a frappé le péché, Il a tué chaque attribut que le péché avait engendré. Vous ne pouvez donc pas traiter du péché sans traiter de la maladie.
| E-37 Now, you know where you come from, through holy wedlock by the will of God, which God promised. But the--this germ here that's in you that doesn't belong in you; your germs are life germs. That's a germ of death which would be contrary to life. So how could it be a blessing?
How could God take the devil to be a blessing to you? How could God show His love to you if people say He does through striking you down with a disease? Let the devil do it. And we know that sickness is a attribute of sin. Before we had any sickness or any sin, we had no sickness.
How can a man preach salvation and not deal... How can you deal with sin in any manner without dealing with sickness? You cannot do it.
We always preach on sin and call it sin. Just like a big animal, had me with his paw in my side pulling my ribs out. There's no need of cutting his paw off, just hit him in the head; it kills the whole body. And when Jesus hit sin, He killed every attribute that sin ever produced. So you can't deal with sin without dealing with sickness.

Could you imagine a farmer planting his corn and going out every day and digs it all up, see if it's going to grow or not? He will never have a crop. He commits it to the earth, under this that God promised and that settles it.

Now, notice, this cancer, it starts developing cells, growing; it's sly. You hardly know it's there: keeps moving on, moving on, sucking the blood.
Now, what if the doctor can't get it? Now, I've made myself clear that I respect doctors and hospitals and pray constantly for them. What would we do without them? But I'm only trying to tell you what the disease is.
God seen the day coming that people would walk out and believe like this. And with His love, He let us have doctors and hospitals. Sure He did. That's His love gift to you.
But the very first thing you should have is faith in God. And remember, I--if God pronounces you to go, there ain't enough medicine in the world to keep you here. It's all in God.

A l'apparition des premiers petits symptômes, vous doutez de cela. Et cela montre que ce n'était pas la foi donnée par Dieu. La foi donnée par Dieu n'accepte pas "un non" comme réponse, peu importe ce qui est arrivé. Eh bien, vous ne pouvez pas bluffer cela. Le diable, vous ne pouvez pas le bluffer. Vous devez avoir des évidences pour prouver cela.
Il reconnaît la foi. Il est obligé, car c'est la seule arme que nous avons dans nos mains. Et c'est la prière qui produit la foi. La prière de la foi sauvera le malade.

You go to God and ask God to heal you. You make Him promises what you'll do. And when--when you do it, you feel in your heart that, "the prayer of faith shall save the sick," God said. As the prayer of faith is prayed, then you feel assured. But now, watch right close now. Ninety percent, yes, and ninety-nine out of a hundred has hope instead of faith. The first little symptoms arise, you'll doubt it. And it goes to show, it wasn't God-given faith. God-given faith wouldn't take no for an answer, no matter what happened. Now, you can't bluff it. The devil, you can't bluff him. You've got to have the goods to prove it.
He recognizes faith. He has to, for it's the only weapon that we have in our hands. And what produces faith is prayer. Prayer of faith shall save the sick.

Le boucher, l'entrepreneur de pompe funèbre, qui qu'il soit, quand quelque chose meurt... Ce soir, si vous abattez un animal, dites aux jeunes gens de le prendre et mettez-le sur la balance, et disons que ce cerf pèse exactement cinq cents livres [environ 226 kg - N.D.T.]. Soyez attentifs. Le lendemain matin il sera plus léger de plusieurs livres. Il commencera à diminuer.
L'entrepreneur des pompes funèbres sait que le corps humain diminue. Dès que la vie en sort, il commence à diminuer. S'il a des fausses dents, on les ôte, ainsi que l'oeil artificiel, jusqu'à ce que le corps ait fini de diminuer. Les cellules se dessèchent et cela diminue. Le premier jour il diminue; le deuxième jour il diminue, et le troisième jour il commence à enfler, c'est parce qu'il commence à pourrir ou commence à se mortifier.
| E-41 Now, notice... Now, what happens? Say a person come with a growth. And that growth is prayed over, and the assurance comes or the Holy Spirit says, "It's finished." The patient goes out, and the first thing you know... I have this all the time.
The patient goes out from the place. Oh, they feel better. What happens when anything dies? Anybody know? Is there anybody in here ever hunt a big game? Let's see your hands go up. I ain't got many fellow citizens in here, have I? All right.
A butcher, undertaker, whatever he may be, anything that dies... If you shoot an animal tonight, tell the boys, and throw it on the scale, and say that deer weighed five hundred pounds even. Be careful. The next morning it's going be several pounds lighter. It'll start shrinking.
A undertaker knows a human body will shrink. As soon as life goes out, it starts shrinking. Got false teeth, they'll take them out, and artificial eye until the body is finished shrinking. The cells are drying and it shrinks. The first day it's shrinking; second day it's shrinking, and the third day it begins to swell, because it becomes contaminated or it begins to mortify.

Eh bien, c'est ce que le malade rencontre. Oh! j'en ai vu s'en aller avec la cataracte, lire la Bible, redescendre heureux. Le jour suivant ils disent qu'ils venaient juste pour témoigner et glorifier Dieu. "Oh! je peux voir, Frère Branham." Et le... Mais environ trois jours après, ils sont plus aveugles qu'ils ne l'étaient avant.
Le malade commence à souffrir d'un cancer ou d'une tumeur. Il dit: "Oh! eh bien, gloire à Dieu, je pense que j'ai perdu ma guérison. Je suis si malade, je n'arrive pas à me lever. Alléluia! Je pense que j'ai perdu ma guérison." Oh, vous êtes un homme minable! Ecoutez. C'est le meilleur signe au monde que vous avez obtenu votre guérison.
| E-42 That's the reason people are all stunted about Jesus being in the grave three days and nights. It was within three days and nights, 'cause David said, "I'll not leave his soul in hell, neither will I suffer my holy One to see corruption." Upon that one solemn promise, Jesus said, "You destroy this temple, and I'll raise it up in three days." He knowed that not one cell would corrupt. But sometime within that seventy-two hours that God would raise Him up, for the prophet had said so.
Notice, you take a little animal that's run over on the street. Just let him lay there, a little dog or something, for three days and watch what happens. He will be heavier at the end of three days than he was the day he died. He's swelling. What is it? The cells are breaking.
Now, that's what the patient hits. Oh, I've seen them go away with cataracts on their eyes, read the Bible, walk down happy. The next day they say come back just testifying, glorifying God. "Oh, I can see, Brother Branham." And on, but about three days they're blinder than they was in the first place.
The patient begins to get sick with a cancer or tumor. They say, "Oh, well, praise the Lord, I guess I lost my healing. I'm so sick; I can't stand up. Hallelujah, I guess I lost my healing." Oh, if you ain't a poor excuse. Listen. That's the best sign in the world you've got your healing.

| E-43 What is it? That dead growth in you, and it's breaking up and there's... As a heart beats, it pulls the blood, and it goes through the heart to purify the body. And any infection will cause fever. You know that.
And on the third day, you usually have sickness, fever; why, that dead growth is laying in you rottening away. But life is gone out of it.
Now, what did Jesus say about that? "When the unclean spirit's gone out of a man, he walks in dry places; and he returns with seven other devils worse than he was." And by force, if he can, if the good man of the house isn't standing there, your unadulterated faith, knowing that God has promised and has to keep His promise...

E-44 Qu'a dit encore Jésus? "Va et ne doute plus, sinon pire t'arrivera." Quand Dieu dit quelque chose, vous devez attacher votre âme à Sa Parole et vous en ternir à cela. Peu importe ce que disent les gens de l'extérieur, votre foi regarde à ce monde invisible.
Jésus est venu pour détruire les oeuvres du diable. C'est la raison pour laquelle Dieu est devenu à la fois Esprit et corps. Jésus avait un Esprit et un corps, et cependant Il était Dieu. Il est venu et a revêtu pleinement la forme d'un homme pour racheter dans son entièreté la forme d'un homme et la ramener à Dieu. C'est pour cela qu'Il est venu en chair et en Esprit. C'est la raison pour laquelle Jésus pouvait dire: "Ce n'est pas Moi qui fais les oeuvres, c'est Mon Père qui demeure en Moi."
Et si la maladie est une bénédiction et que Jésus est venu et a guéri des malades partout, alors Il a fait échouer le but de Sa venue. Que dites-vous être une bénédiction? Si un Dieu aimable, un Père qui vous a donné la Vie et vous a promis une longue vie sur terre si vous Lui obéissez; alors Lui viendrait là vous terrasser avec un démon et le laisserait demeurer là et vous ronger sur le lit avec le cancer, la tuberculose ou quelque chose comme ça! Et vous dites alors: "Ô Dieu, c'est Ton amour envers moi." Ou diriez-vous plutôt: "Le diable m'avait terrassé et un Dieu aimable est venu et m'a guéri et m'a redonné la vie"? Eh bien, même un enfant se garderait bien de dire que Dieu a placé la maladie sur les gens. N'attribuez jamais cela à Dieu. C'est la désobéissance qui amène la maladie.
| E-44 What did Jesus say again? "Go ye and disbelieve no more or a worse thing than this will come upon you." When God speaks anything, you must fasten your soul onto His Word and hold onto it. No, matter what the outside says, your faith looks to the unseen world.
Jesus come to destroy the works of the devil. That's why God was made both soul and body. Jesus had both soul and body and yet was God. He came to take on Himself the full form of man to redeem the full form of man back to God. That's why He come in flesh and in soul. That's the reason Jesus could say, "It's not Me that doeth the works, it's My Father that dwelleth in Me."
And if sickness is a blessing and Jesus come and healed the sick everywhere, then He defeated His purpose in coming. Which would you say would be a blessing? If a loving God, a Father Who gave you life and promised you a long life on the earth if you'd obey Him; then He would come and strike you down with a devil and let him lay there and eat you up on the bed with cancer, TB, or something. Say now, "Oh, God, this is Your love to me."
Or would you rather say, "The devil struck me down and a loving God come and healed me and give me life again." Why, a child would know better than to say that God put sickness on people. Don't never pin that on God. Disobedience brings sickness.

E-45 Jésus n'a jamais dit à Ses disciples, Il n'a jamais prêché nulle part ou demandé à Ses disciples de dire aux gens qu'ils doivent être cloués par la maladie pour Lui obéir. Il les a envoyés pour libérer les malades, pour prêcher à ceux qui étaient captifs et à ceux qui étaient dans la servitude. Il est venu apporter la délivrance. Et Il ne peut pas apporter la délivrance! Il ne peut pas faire deux choses opposées l'une à l'autre! Soit Il doit être l'Auteur de la Vie, soit l'Auteur de la mort.
Et si vous attribuez la maladie à Dieu, et vous dites que c'est Dieu qui vous rend malade pour que vous mourriez, alors vous devez faire de Lui l'auteur de la mort. Alors que la mort et la vie ne peuvent même pas s'associer.
Jamais un service funèbre n'a été prêché en Présence de Jésus-Christ. Il arrêta chaque procession funèbre qu'Il rencontrait. Pourquoi? La vie et la mort ne peuvent pas exister ensemble. Amen.
| E-45 Jesus never did tell His disciples, never preached at anywhere or asked the disciples to tell people they must stay pinned down with sickness to obey Him. He sent them to liberate the sickness, and to preach to those in captivity, and to those in bondage. He come to bring deliverance. And He can't bring deliverance. He can't do the two things opposite one from the other. He's either got to be the Author of Life or the author of death.
And if you put sickness onto God, and say if that is God making you sick to die, then you've got to make Him an author of death. When death and life cannot associate even together.
There never was a funeral preached in the Presence of Jesus Christ. He broke up every funeral procession He come in contact with. Why? Life and death can't exist together. Amen.

E-46 J'aurais aimé avoir deux fois ma taille. Ce... Je me sens si bien, peut-être que je vais... peux être deux autant. Quand je pense à Sa bonté, à Son omnipotence, à Sa puissance, et voir ce petit soi-disant chrétien d'aujourd'hui, sournois et lâche, qui a peur de s'avancer et de mettre en première position la Parole de Dieu et de Le prendre au mot...
Remarquez, Jésus est venu pour détruire les oeuvres du diable. En guérissant les malades, Il a prouvé Sa qualité de Messie. Il l'a prouvé par des visions qu'Il voyait. Le monde l'a su parce qu'Il ne s'est pas attribué la gloire. Il l'a attribuée au Père. Il a dit: "Je ne peux rien faire à moins que le Père me montre premièrement ce qu'il faut faire." Et Il a guéri les malades et Il a ressuscité les morts. Il a purifié les lépreux et Il a prouvé Sa qualité de Messie.
Et l'Eglise du Dieu vivant qui fera la même chose aujourd'hui prouve que le Messie est fidèle à Sa Parole et qu'Il vit dans l'Eglise.
Je crois que le cas du paralytique a prouvé que Jésus était venu aussi bien pour sauver que pour guérir. Il a dit au jeune homme: "Tes péchés te sont pardonnés. Prends ton lit et marche." Il vit que c'était le péché.

When I think of His goodness, and His omnipotence, and His power, how the weasely, little, so-called, spineless Christian of today is afraid to step out and put God's Word first and take Him at His Word...
Notice, Jesus come to destroy the works of the devil. And healing the sick, He proved His Messiahship. He proved by seeing visions. The world knew because He didn't take credit to Himself. He gave it to the Father. He said, "I can do nothing till the Father shows Me first what to do." And He healed the sick and He raised the dead. He cleansed the lepers and He proved His Messiahship.
And the Church of the living God that'll do the same today proves the Messiah is good to His Word and living in the church.
I think the case of the paralytic proved that Jesus both come to save and to heal. He said to the boy, "Thy sins be forgiven thee. Take up your bed and walk." He found out that it was sin.

| E-47 Sin's associated with sickness. I don't mean that you sinned, your parents before you. God promised He'd visit to three and four generations the sins of the father's upon the children. But God's a Healer.
Now, notice what taken place in the life of our Lord Jesus when He was here on earth. He proved He was the Messiah by the works that He did. He said, "If I do not the works of Him that sent Me, then believe Me not. But if I do the works, though you don't believe Me, believe the works."
I know I'm a little loud. That thing's got an awful voice. But I don't mean to be yelling at you, but I've spoke in places before where it wasn't such good acoustics. But now, quickly now, my time's about gone.

Aujourd'hui, certains disent que Dieu avait promis dans Sa Parole qu'Il serait uniquement avec les apôtres, pour guérir les malades dans l'âge primitif de l'Eglise. Je considère cela comme une bien pauvre connaissance de la Bible. Il n'existe pas une telle Ecriture dans la Bible pour prouver cela.
Dieu a promis dans Marc 16, Sa dernière commission à l'Eglise: "Allez par tout le monde et prêchez la Bonne Nouvelle à toute la création. Celui qui croira et qui sera baptisé sera sauvé. Celui qui ne croira pas sera condamné; voici les miracles qui accompagneront ceux qui auront cru. Ils imposeront les mains aux malades et les malades seront guéris."
La première commission qu'Il a donnée à Son Eglise, c'était de guérir les malades; la dernière commission qu'Il a donnée à l'Eglise, c'était de guérir les malades. C'est exact. C'était donc forcément adressé au monde entier.
| E-48 Notice, the church of the early age, they went for the first three centuries, and they preached the Gospel, and they healed the sick. Then after that, healing and miracles begin to die out.
Some people say today that God promised in His Word just to be with the apostles and to heal the sick in the early primitive age of the church. I count that very poor Bible scholaring. There's no such a Scripture in the Bible to prove that.
God promised in Mark 16, His last commission to the church, "Go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved. He that believeth not shall be damned; and these signs shall follow them that believe. They'll lay their hands on the sick and they shall recover."
The first commission He give to His Church was heal the sick; the last commission He give to the church was heal the sick. Correctly. Then He was to be to all the world.

Moi aussi. Je crois que si l'Eglise du Dieu vivant restait à sa place, priait suffisamment et vivait dans la Présence de Dieu, avec le baptême du Saint-Esprit, ces miracles et les prodiges couleraient d'Elle comme d'un puits jaillissant. C'est juste. Je pense que c'est là que se trouve le problème.
| E-49 The unbelievers says that was just to convert the heathens. The other side belief says, that the reason the church lost her--her place in Divine healing... "Oh, we have a little spirit, but it's very feeble. Just enough to move around," like somebody about half dead.
That's about the way the church of the living God moves today, just about enough to grunt a little while. And I'm not saying that for jokes. But it's the truth. Just enough courage to go down to church and say, "Well, I'm a Baptist, I'm a Pentecostal, I..." Just about as much life as they got. That's true. Some allows it to that.
I do the same. I think if the church of the living God stayed in her place, and was prayed up, and lived in the Presence of God with the baptism of the Holy Ghost, that signs and wonders would be flowing from her like a gusher. That's right. I think that's where the trouble is.

Nous avons mis plus l'accent sur des organisations et ainsi de suite que sur la résurrection et la puissance du Seigneur Jésus-Christ. Si nous avions plus de réunions de prière au lieu des soupers de bienfaisance et des parties de carte, nous serions de loin meilleurs comme chrétiens. Amen. Les gens ont transformé la chambre haute à l'ancienne mode en une salle de soupers. Vous savez que c'est vrai. Voyez ce que cela a fait. Cela a dévêtu nos femmes. Cela a perverti la moralité de notre nation. Nous nous effondrons.
| E-50 And you talking about it was used to convert heathens: "That's what God gave it to the church, the primitive church, was to convert the heathens." My dear, beloved unbeliever, did you know there's more heathens today in the world, ten times as many as there was then? Certainly there is. Two-thirds of the world is unchristianized.
And the reason we haven't got nowhere is because we've turned all the promise of God into theology, into teaching some kind of doctrines of men and organizations, and so forth, and failed to produce what Jesus said that the signs would follow the believers. We put more emphasis on organizations and so forth than we have upon the resurrection and the power of the Lord Jesus Christ. If we had more prayer meetings instead of soup suppers and card parties, we'd be a lot better off as Christians. Amen. They've turned the old fashion upper room into a supper room. You know that's true. Look what it's done. It's stripped our women. It's demoralized our nation. We're in a crumbling condition.

E-51 J'ai toujours dit: "N'ayez pas peur que la Russie ou une autre nation vienne et nous fouette." Nous nous fouettons nous-même. Ce n'est pas le rouge-gorge qui picore sur la pomme qui la gâche, c'est le ver qui se trouve dans le coeur. Aujourd'hui, le problème ici c'est Hollywood et... Savez-vous quel est le problème? L'évangélisation à l'Hollywood. Les prédicateurs montent à la chaire et n'ont pas suffisamment cette - cette vraie conviction à l'ancienne mode pour appeler noir ce qui est noir et blanc ce qui est blanc, et dire la vérité. Ils ont peur pour le bon de repas qu'ils reçoivent de l'église.
Je veux voir un homme qui a une colonne vertébrale plutôt qu'un bréchet, un homme qui prêche l'Evangile, quitte à m'étendre sur le ventre, à boire l'eau plate et à manger un pain sec. Je préférerais faire cela et prêcher la vérité et prendre position pour Jésus-Christ plutôt que manger trois fois par jour du poulet frit et vivre dans un palais. Amen.
C'est un peu dur, et rude, mais ça vous aidera. C'est bon pour votre gastronomie spirituelle. Cela vous aidera à avaler la Parole du Dieu vivant. Le paganisme...
| E-51 I've always said, "Don't be scared of Russia coming over and whipping us or any other nation." We're whipping ourselves. It isn't a robin that pecks on the apple that hurts it; it's a worm at the core. That's what's the matter here today is Hollywood and... You know what's the matter? Hollywood evangelism. Preachers come to the pulpit and not got the--the real, old fashion conviction enough to call black black and white white and tell what's the truth. They're afraid of a meal ticket at the church.

The night when I told him the Angel of the Lord appeared to me and said what to do, he said, "Billy, that's the devil. Don't you listen to that."
I said, "Doctor Davis, He told me that I was to pray for kings and monarchs."
He said, "With your seventh grade education?"
I said, "I don't know about that, but He said it, and I believe it, and I'll stay with it."
Said, "Now, Billy, go over home. You need a rest."
I said, "I don't need no rest. I'm rested enough. I'm ready to go into the work."

I thought, "Here's my time, Lord. Thank You, Father for this." I said, "Gentlemen, I'm very happy to be here. And you wanted me to talk about my African campaign." I said, "I want to tell you what I found when I went over there, coming down through the streets of--of Durban with Sidney Smith, the mayor, riding me out where tens of thousands times thousands had gathered for a three or four day's meeting. The race tracks was packed over. The biggest crowd that Africa ever had in any kind of a meeting that's gathered together."

Et j'ai dit: "Ecoutez, monsieur, je suis moi-même un yakhta ou un chasseur." J'ai dit: "Ecoutez, ce n'est pas la prière qui a effrayé le lion et qui l'a éloigné; c'est le feu qui a effrayé le lion et qui l'a éloigné." Les animaux ont peur du feu. Oh! eh bien, il portait cela de toute façon, c'était aspergé de sang.
| E-54 What was it, because I was there? No, sir. Jesus said, "If I be lifted up, I'll draw all men unto Me." The Gospel yet in its simplicity has the greatest drawing crowd--card the world has ever knowed. It was the power of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Amen. That's right.
I notice natives walking along, colored people as we call them here. They had little tags on them, packing idols in their arms. I said, "What's that tag for?"
Said, "That means they're a Christian."
I said, "A Christian, and packing an idol?"
Said, "Oh, yes."
Well, I said, "I don't get that, Mr. Smith."
He said, "I can speak Shangai. Let's ask this one here." I called one over. Said, "Just call him anything you want to."
And I spoke to him. I said, "What are you--are you a Christian?"
"Yep," he's Christian.
I said, "Well, what are you packing an idol for?" "Oh, it's god too."
"Oh," I said, "there's nothing in that idol."
He said, "Well, my father packed it." And said one day the lion got after him; he set it down, built up a little fire, and said the prayer of the witch doctor told him. The lion went away. So if Amoya or the... ('Amoya' means 'it's an unseen force like the wind.') If amoya, the unseen god fails, this one won't." Now, they call that Christianity. It's still a form of heathenism. Right.
And I said, "Look, sir, I'm a yahkta myself or a hunter." I said, "Listen, the prayer never scared the lion away; the fire scared the lion away." An animal is scared of fire. Oh, well, he'd pack it anyhow, sprinkle with blood.

E-55 Quand je suis arrivé là ce jour-là, je me suis mis à leur parler et à leur dire ce que Jésus a fait par la résurrection, ce qu'Il a fait quand Il était ici sur terre, à savoir qu'Il avait des visions, qu'Il a prouvé que c'est Dieu qui faisait tout cela. Dieu était en Lui se manifestant au monde et réconciliant le monde avec Lui-même. J'ai dit: "Si Jésus-Christ venait sur la scène et manifestait la même chose ici aujourd'hui devant vous, mahométans et autres, allez-vous Le recevoir?" Des dizaines de milliers. Et certains ont dit, j'oublie combien de milliers, plus de cent mille ou quelque chose comme ça, ils ont levé la main pour dire qu'ils accepteraient.
La première personne qui vint sur l'estrade, il n'était pas possible de tenir une ligne de prière, on a simplement demandé à des missionnaires d'aller prendre...?... nombreux.
La première personne c'était une mahométane. Elle ne parlait pas anglais. Elle avait une tache rouge, une tache indienne ici entre les yeux. C'était une mahométane. Et par le truchement de l'interprète, quinze différents interprètes ou plus devaient interpréter en Afrique, les différentes tribus...
Et j'ai dit à cette femme, j'ai dit: "Pourquoi, vous une mahométane venez-vous à moi qui suis chrétien? Pourquoi n'allez-vous pas vers votre prêtre au temple?"
Elle a dit: "Je crois que vous pouvez m'aider." Bien sûr, par le truchement de l'interprète.
"Oh! ai-je dit, avez-vous déjà lu le Nouveau Testament?"
Elle a dit: "Plusieurs fois."
J'ai dit: "Si Jésus-Christ est vivant aujourd'hui ici en Afrique et fait ici les mêmes choses qu'Il fit avec la femme au puits, allez-vous renoncer à Mahomet pour recevoir Jésus?"
Elle a dit: "Je vais le faire."
| E-55 When I got up there that day and begin to speak to them and tell them of what Jesus did in the resurrection, what He did when He was here on earth, how He saw visions, how He proved all of it was God. God was in Him manifesting Himself to the world and reconciling the world back to Him. I said, "If Jesus Christ will come on the scene and will produce the same thing here today before you Mohammedans and the rest of you, will you receive Him?" Tens of thousands, and some of them said, I forget how many thousands, up above a hundred thousand or something, raised their hands, they would.
The first person to the platform, no way of holding a prayer line just had missionaries go get so...?... many.
The first one was a Mohammedan woman. She couldn't speak English. She had a red dot, an Indian dot here in between her eyes. She was Mohammedan. And through the interpreter, fifteen different interpreters or more had to interpret through Africa, the different tribes...
And I said to this woman, I said, "Why are you a Mohammedan coming to me as a Christian? Why don't you go to your priest at the temple?"
And she said, "I believe that you can help me." Through the interpreter of course.
"Oh," I said, "have you ever read the New Testament?"
She said, "Many times."
I said, "If Jesus Christ is alive today here in Africa and will do the same things here that He did to the woman at the well, will you renounce Mohammed and receive Jesus?"
She said, "I will."

E-56 Et alors j'ai prié. Le Saint-Esprit amena une vision. Cela montra et dit à la femme qu'elle avait un kyste dans son ventre. Et elle avait été chez un médecin mahométan. Sa fa-... son mari qui l'avait amenée était un homme de petite taille, portant une moustache noire, et il avait attendu dans le hall pendant qu'elle subissait un examen. Et le médecin lui avait dit qu'elle devait être opérée. Elle leva les mains et dit: "C'est la vérité." Et elle a dit: "J'accepte maintenant Jésus-Christ comme mon Sauveur personnel."
Des centaines et des milliers de mahométans se mirent à crier. Qu'est-ce que cela demande? La commission du Seigneur Jésus. Obéir à Sa Parole; aller par tout le monde et démontrer la puissance de la résurrection. Certainement.
| E-56 And then I prayed. The Holy Spirit come with a vision. It showed the woman and told her that she had a cyst on the womb. And she had been to a Mohammedan doctor. Her fa... Her husband had taken her was a short man with a black mustache, and he waited out in the hall while she had her examination. And the doctor told her she'd have to be operated on. She raised her hands and said, "That is the truth." And she said, "I now accept Jesus Christ as my personal Saviour."
Hundreds and thousands of Mohammedans begin to scream. What does it take? The commission of the Lord Jesus. Obey His Word; go into all the world and demonstrate the power of the resurrection. Certainly.

E-57 La personne suivante était une femme, une blanche. Elle parlait anglais. Cela lui dit ce qu'était son problème, mais lui dit de se préparer à mourir. Elle avait un petit quelque chose comme une petite grosseur ou quelque chose comme ça, mais elle allait mourir dans quelques minutes.
Elle descendit, et elle s'est assise à coté de son mari, elle a commencé à s'inquiéter à ce sujet puis elle est tombée morte juste là où elle était assise.
Le suivant était un petit garçon noir. Il avait un (oh!) un petit sac. Ils tirent le sang du cou de la vache et - et ils mettent du lait dans ce sang et mélangent cela à l'aide d'un bâton, et fabriquent une - une délicieuse sucette. Et ils mangent le sang avec le lait. C'est là leur alimentation. C'est à peine s'ils portent des vêtements, ils sont très primitifs.
Une femme accoucha d'un bébé pendant qu'elle était assise juste là devant moi. Sans y prêter la moindre attention, elle l'a pris et l'a allaité, puis elle a continué.
| E-57 The next one come was a woman, a white woman. She could speak English. It told her what her trouble was, but told her to prepare for death. She had a little something like a little growth or something, but she was going to die in a few minutes.
She walked down, and set down with her husband, and begin to wonder about that and dropped dead right there where she was setting.
The next come was a little black boy. He had a, oh, a little sack. They take blood out of the cow's neck, and--and put some milk in it, and churn it up and down with a stick, and make a--a lovely lolly-pop. And they eat the blood and milk. That's their diet. Wear no clothes hardly, very primitive.
A lady gave birth to a baby setting right down in front of me. Never paid a bit of attention to it, picked it up, and did her nursing and went on.

E-58 Puis la chose suivante arriva. Ce petit garçon noir est venu; il louchait de ses petits yeux; ils étaient fixes. J'ai dit: "Maintenant, n'importe qui peut voir que ce petit garçon lou... louche. Si je pouvais faire quoi que ce soit pour cet enfant, je serais heureux de le faire, mais je ne peux pas le faire. Je ne suis qu'un serviteur du Seigneur. Il faut que Lui le fasse. Peut-être qu'Il pourrait me dire la cause."
Et j'ai de nouveau regardé et voilà une vision se déroulait au-dessus du petit garçon. J'ai dit: "Cet enfant a toujours louché, et sa mère et son père sont très étranges comme Zoulous; en effet, en moyenne le Zoulou pèse environ 250 ou 300 livres [environ 113 ou 136kg - N.D.T.]." Et j'ai dit: "Eux sont minces."
Et j'ai dit: "Cet enfant a toujours louché." Tout au fond, à deux cents yards [environ 200m - N.D.T.] de moi, le père et la mère se sont levés pour témoigner. J'ai dit: "II est né dans un foyer chrétien, car il y a une Bible et une image de Christ suspendue dans une hutte en terre. C'est juste. Ce sont des chrétiens."
J'ai dit: "Si..." J'ai de nouveau regardé le petit garçon et ses yeux étaient aussi droits que les miens. J'ai dit: "Tout le monde le voit. Il n'est pas nécessaire de prier pour lui. Sa petite foi l'a rétabli. Passe, fiston. "
| E-58 Then the next thing happened. This little black boy come; his little eyes was just as crossed; they were setting in. I said, "Now, anybody can see that little boy's eyes are--are crossed. If there's anything I could do for the child, I'd be glad to do it, but I can't do it. I'm only a servant of the Lord. It takes Him to do it. Perhaps He might tell me the reason why.
And I looked back, and there was a vision standing over the little boy. I said, "The baby was born cross-eyed, and the mother and father, are very strange to be Zulu; because the Zulus are average around two fifty or three hundred." And I said, "They're slim people."
And I said, "The baby was born cross-eyed." Way back two hundred yards from me, the father and mother raised up as a witness. I said, "It was borned in a Christian place, because there's a Bible and a picture of Christ hanging on a mud hut. That's right. They were Christians.
I said, "If..." I look back at the little boy, and his eyes was as straight as mine." I said, "Anybody sees. Don't have to pray for him. His little faith has made him whole. Pass on through, sonny."

E-59 Puis j'ai entendu tout un tapage là au fond. Et c'était un médecin. Et il disait, il cherchait à m'atteindre. Monsieur Bosworth était là, il se tenait là, disant: "Nous ne pouvons pas faire ça. L'onction est sur notre frère. Vous provoqueriez ici une véritable émeute raciale." En effet, d'une manière ou d'une autre, on avait séparé les tribus par des clôtures. Il a dit: "Ça provoquerait des émeutes raciales. Nous ne pouvons pas faire ça."
Monsieur Baxter s'est avancé et a dit: "Nous allons avoir... On ne peut pas faire cela, monsieur."
Et il a dit: "Je veux lui parler."
Je me suis retourné, j'ai dit: "Qui y a-t-il, docteur?"
Il a dit: "Comment avez-vous su que je suis un médecin?"
Eh bien, j'ai dit: "Alors, ne savez-vous pas que Dieu est ici?"
Il a dit: "Révérend Branham, je peux comprendre combien votre discours, votre psychologie et votre télépathie peuvent avoir un effet sur les gens!"
J'ai dit: "De la télépathie, docteur?"
Il a dit: "Oui, monsieur." Et il a dit: " Qu'avez-vous fait à cet enfant? l'avez-vous hypnotisé?"
J'ai dit: "Docteur, vous a-t-on délivré l'autorisation en Angleterre pour pratiquer la médecine, et vous n'en savez pas plus sur l'hypnotisme et tout ça? L'association médicale de l'Angleterre me surprend." Et j'ai dit: "Si l'hypnotisme peut redresser les yeux d'un enfant, vous médecins vous feriez mieux de pratiquer l'hypnotisme, comme cela donne des résultats scientifiques."
| E-59 And I heard a conglomeration back there of noise. And it was a doctor. And he was saying, trying to get to me. Mr. Bosworth was there was standing there saying, "We can't do that. The anointing's on our brother. You'd cause regular race riot here." 'Cause they had the tribes separated by fences anyhow." Said, "It cause a race riot. We can't do that."
Mr. Baxter went out said, "We'll have... Can't do that, sir."
And he said, "I want to speak to him."
I turned around; I said, "What's the matter, doctor?"
He said, "How did you know I was a doctor?"
Well, I said, "Then, you don't know that God is here."
He said, "Reverend Branham, I can understand how that your speech, your psychology, and your mental telepathy can put an influence on the people."
I said, "Mental telepathy, doctor?"
He said, "Yes, sir." But said, "What did you do to that child? Did you hypnotize it?"
I said, "Doctor, did they give you license in England to practice medicine, and know no more about hypnotism and that? I'm surprised at the medical association of England." I said, "If hypnotism will straighten a child's eyes, you doctors better practice hypnotism, as scientific results from it."

Et c'était dans de grands pots ou de grands vases posés quelque part. Il a dit: "Révérend Branham, je sais que Dieu est dans ce lys, car cela ne pourrait vivre sans Dieu. Je crois dans le Christianisme." Mais il a dit: "Est-Il suffisamment audible ou plutôt visible, ou plutôt ici présent pour pouvoir prendre et tendre les ligaments des yeux de ce garçon et l'amener à voir?"
| E-60 And he said, "Look, Reverend Branham, I was the one who put the boy in the line. And he was standing there, and his eyes was crossed, and here he is standing here with it uncrossed. What happened between there and here?"
I said, "God is standing there."
He said, "Reverend Branham..." Great big calla lilies, you just ladies ought to see those, eighteen inches across, wild, out in the fields, yellow and white, the prettiest things you ever seen. Great pitchers of them or vases of them setting on a place. He said, "Reverend Branham, I know that God's in that lily, 'cause it couldn't live without God. I believe in a Christian." But he said, "Is He audible, or visible enough, or here that could take, and pull the strings of that boy's eyes, and make him see?"

E-61 Monsieur Bosworth le saisit par l'épaule et dit: "Monsieur, nous allons devoir vous emporter."
J'ai dit: "Un instant." J'ai dit: "Docteur, vous avez témoigné là que les yeux de ce garçon étaient de travers?"

Environ trois semaines plus tard, quand je quittais Johannesburg, là à l'aéroport où des milliers s'étaient rassemblés pour me dire au revoir, pendant que l'avion s'éloignait, je suis allé jusqu'à la rampe, ce médecin a jeté ses bras autour de moi et m'a embrassé en guise d'au revoir, il parlait en des langues inconnues et il partait dans les champs de mission. C'est juste. Il avait donc reçu le Seigneur Jésus comme son Sauveur personnel là sur l'estrade.
| E-61 Mr. Bosworth got him by the shoulder and said, "Sir, we'll have to take you away."
I said, "Just a minute." I said, "Doctor, you witnessed the boy's eyes was crooked there?"
"Yes."
"They're straight here."
"Yes."
I said, "God did it."
And they started to pull him away, he said, "Wait a minute." Walked up to the main mike, said, "Then, I accept Jesus Christ as my personal Saviour. I'll never have no more doubt in my mind as long..."
And to you Pentecostal people, this might encourage you, you who are Pentecostal. When I was leaving over in Johannesburg about three weeks later at the airport, where thousands were gathered to say good-bye to me. As the plane rolling away, I went to the ramp, this doctor threw his arms around me, and kissed me good-bye, speaking in unknown tongues, and going into the mission fields. That's right.
Then he received the Lord Jesus there as his personal Saviour at the platform.

E-62 Pendant la réunion, un homme auquel on avait dû mettre une chaîne autour du cou vint et on le traînait comme un chien. Il - Il avait une maladie qui l'avait rendu... Oh! c'était affreux. Vous pouvez vous imaginer l'apparence qu'il avait. Et j'ai dit: "Eh bien, si quelqu'un était capable de faire quelque chose pour ce pauvre homme mais ne le faisait pas, il devrait être une brute." Maintenant, suivez attentivement tandis que nous terminons.
Cet homme, qui se tenait là sur ses mains et ses pieds, pensa que je voulais qu'il exécute une danse de guerre. S'il y a un missionnaire ici, il sait qu'ils font beaucoup le pitre pour les touristes et tout, ils exécutent leur danse tribale.
Cet homme n'était pas mentalement dans son bon sens. Et j'ai dit: "Je voudrais prier pour lui." Et il [Frère Branham frappe les mains. - N.D.E.] - il continuait à aller comme cela avec ses mains, juste à quatre pattes. Il ne pouvait pas se lever. Et j'ai dit: "Regardez dans quel état se trouve ce pauvre être humain!"
" Cet homme a une âme autant que moi ou que n'importe qui d'autre ici, ai-je dit, s'il y a un sorcier ici, je vous défie, au Nom du Seigneur Jésus, de venir faire quelque chose pour lui. " C'est juste. Tout le monde était silencieux.
Et une vision est apparue au-dessus de lui. J'ai dit: "La chose à laquelle il pense, il pense à son frère. Il est né dans un foyer chrétien. Quand il était encore bébé, il était comme cela." J'ai dit: "A présent il a 22 ans."
| E-62 In the meeting, there was a man come who they had to put a chain around his neck and lead him like a dog. He--he had a disease that made him... Oh, it was horrible. You can imagine how he looked. And I said, "Now, if anybody could do something for that poor man that wouldn't do it, he'd be a brute." Now, listen closely as we close.
This man, standing there on his hands and feet, he thought that I wanted him to do a war dance. If there happens to be a missionary here would know that's what they clown a lot for the tours and so forth, doing their tribe dance.
The man wasn't mentally right. And I said, "I want to pray with him." And he [Brother Branham claps his hands--Ed.] kept going like that with his hands just down on his all fours. Couldn't raise up. And I said, "Look what a condition that poor, human being's in." That man is a soul just like I am or anybody else here." I said, "If there's any witch doctor that's near, I challenge you in the Name of the Lord Jesus to come, do something for him." That's right. Everybody was quiet.
But there'd been a vision over him. I said, "The thing he's thinking about; he's thinking about his brother. He was born in a Christian home. When he was yet a baby, he was this a way." I said, "He's twenty-two years old now."

E-63 Et j'ai dit: "Il est né dans un foyer chrétien." Et ses parents se sont levés pour attester qu'il en était ainsi. Et il s'est fait que j'ai vu aller... j'ai eu la vision d'un garçon qui était guéri. J'ai dit: "Mais AINSI DIT LE SEIGNEUR, le garçon est guéri. " Et à environ un pâté de maisons ou plus de moi, j'ai entendu un cri et voilà ce garçon qui venait en sautant en l'air, tenant ses béquilles au-dessus de sa tête, criant simplement à tue-tête. Il fallut près de vingt minutes à la milice et à tous ceux qui étaient là autour pour ramener la foule au calme.
Alors quelques instants après, j'ai de nouveau regardé l'homme pour voir ce qui arriverait. Au-dessus de lui se déroulait une vision comme une ombre bleuâtre, comme quand on regarde une télévision. L'homme se tenait là normal. Oh! la la! personne ne sait ce que c'est. J'ai vu les morts ressusciter après que les médecins les avaient déclarés morts. J'ai vu des choses arriver. Quand Dieu le déclare ainsi comme cela, tous les démons de l'enfer ne peuvent arrêter cela. C'est le Dieu Tout-Puissant.
| E-63 But I said, "In a Christian home he was born." And his parents raised up to witness the same thing. And I said, "He had a brother that was riding either a yellow goat or a dog, and he fell off and he's hurt hisself. And he walks on two sticks under his arms like crutches." And I happened to look going, I seen a vision of a boy being healed. I said, "But THUS SAITH THE LORD, the boy is healed." And about a city block or more away from me, I heard a scream, and here come the boy jumping up in the air, holding them crutches over his head, just a screaming to the top of his voice. It taken them twenty minutes nearly to get the crowds quieten, the militia and all around.
Then in a few moments, I looked again to the man to see what would happen. Above him was a vision like a blue shadow, like looking into a television. There stood the man normally. Oh, my. Nobody never knows what it is. I've seen the dead raised after the doctor pronounced them dead. I've seen things happen. When God has said so like that, all devils out of hell can't stop it. It's God Almighty.

Et je me suis approché du garçon et j'ai dit: "Au Nom du Seigneur Jésus, lève-toi." Il pensait que j'étais comme ceci. [Frère Branham illustre. - N.D.E.] L'interprète le lui a dit de nouveau. J'ai tiré cette chaîne et, tout à coup, il s'est tenu debout pour la première fois dans sa vie mortelle. Les larmes coulèrent sur son ventre noir. Il s'est mis à pleurer. La foule fut prise de panique. Et j'ai dit: "Tous ceux qui ici, veulent recevoir maintenant Jésus-Christ comme leur Sauveur personnel, tenez-vous debout." Trente mille purs païens se tinrent debout et acceptèrent Jésus-Christ comme leur Sauveur personnel en une seule fois. Mais ils étaient dix fois plus nombreux qu'au jour de la Pentecôte, trente fois plus nombreux.

But I said, "I challenge the priest of the Mohammedan temple to come and give him his soundness. I challenge the witch doctor or anyone else to come and give him his soundness. None of you can, and neither can I. But the God of heaven has raised up His Son, Christ Jesus, and has promised the same things that He did, we would also. And I've seen a vision over the boy, that he's going to be made well. It's THUS SAITH THE LORD. If He will do this," I said, "how many will believe on Him?" And they raised their hands.
I walked up to the boy and said, "In the Name of the Lord Jesus, raise up." He thought I was like this. [Brother Branham illustrates--Ed.] The interpreter told him again. I pulled the chain, and all of a sudden, he raised to his feet for the first time in his mortal life. The tears run down on his black belly. He begin weeping. That crowd went into a panic. And I said, "Everyone here that now will receive Jesus Christ as personal Saviour, stand to your feet." Thirty thousand raw heathens stood to their feet and accepted Jesus Christ as personal Saviour at one time. But ten times bigger than the day of Pentecost, thirty times bigger.

Voilà le problème qu'a l'église chrétienne aujourd'hui. Elle a failli de faire ce que Christ a dit de faire. "Si Je suis élevé..."
Il n'est pas étonnant que David ait pu crier: "Mon âme, bénis l'Eternel, et n'oublie aucun de Ses bienfaits! C'est Lui qui pardonne toutes nos iniquités et qui guérit toutes nos maladies." Il est toujours Dieu ce soir.
| E-65 Notice, what taken place. Mr. Baxter come to me, said, "Brother Branham, I believe they missed physical healing. I believe you ought to send it through the interpreters again." I said it again. I said, "I do not mean physical healing. I mean that you accept, and will renounce all other gods, and you will receive Jesus Christ as your Saviour if you're sincere. Throw your trinkets on the ground, bust your idols." And it was like a storm of dust where the power of God struck the place and thirty thousand or more heathens come to the Lord Jesus Christ at one time. Why?
That's what's the matter with the Christian church today. It's failed to do what Christ said do. "If I be lifted up..."
No, wonder David could cry, "Bless the Lord, O my soul and forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all of our iniquities and healeth all of our diseases." He's still God tonight.

Et regardez les chrétiens, les soi-disant. Considérez les différences avec eux, l'incrédulité. C'est juste un faible pourcentage de chrétiens qui croit à la guérison divine. Très peu parmi eux croient cela. Combien plus avons-nous besoin ce soir du Seigneur Jésus dans Sa résurrection?
Il n'est pas étonnant qu'Il ait dit: "Ne crains point, petit troupeau. Etroite est la porte et resserré le chemin, mais il y en aura peu qui trouveront la vie." Je vous déclare ce soir, mon cher frère, que les oeuvres que Jésus-Christ a faites, Il ne les a jamais terminées. Il a terminé Sa Vie à la croix afin qu'Il puisse en retour La déverser en vous, l'Eglise. Et l'Eglise fera la même chose que Lui, jusqu'à ce qu'Il revienne.
| E-67 Now, what I mean today, brother, this old, dry church chewing that we've been doing, we need to throw that thing away and accept the resurrected Lord Jesus Christ and His power. He's here tonight to do the same thing tonight that He did on the banks of Galilee, He did in Durban, South Africa, and will do the same thing in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Two-thirds of the world heathens, and what one-third... What does a heathen mean? An unbeliever. Two-thirds of the world together make up that group and saying we don't need signs again.
And look at the Christians, so-called. Look at the differences with them, unbelief. They're just a small percent of the Christians believe in Divine healing. Very few of them believe it. How much more we need the Lord Jesus in His resurrection tonight?
No, wonder He said, "Fear not, little flock. And straight is the gate and narrow is the way, but few there'll be that'll find life." I declare to you tonight, my dear brother: that the works that Jesus Christ did, He never finished them. He finished His life at the cross, that He might pour It back into you, Church. And the Church would do the same thing He did till He comes again.

Nous sommes devenus très instruits. Docteur Jones... J'espère que personne ici ne porte ce nom-là. Docteur Jones dit à son groupe: "Eh bien, ne... Ça ne vaut rien. Les jours des miracles sont passés."
Le docteur Dupont dit: "C'est du spiritisme. Ça ne vaut rien." Les gens disaient la même chose à propos de Jésus, n'est-ce pas? Belzébul.
Un autre dit: "C'est de la télépathie. Nous sommes l'église scientifique. Nous ne savons pas si... Ce n'est pas vrai. Tout est devenu..." Il n'est pas étonnant que des gens à l'esprit faible soient embrouillés.
Mais Jésus vous a donné un signe. "Voici les miracles qui accompagneront ceux qui auront cru." Moi, je ne peux pas vous sauver. Je peux uniquement obéir à ce qu'Il a dit de faire. Votre salut dépend de vous. Prions.
| E-68 I find two different types of heathens: One of them is the uneducated; the other one is the educated. The hardest people I ever dealt with in my life is in the United States of America. Any other missionary will tell you the same thing.
We become so educated. Doctor Jones... I hope there's not no one here by that name. Doctor Jones tells his group, "Now, don't... There's nothing to that. Days of miracles is passed."
Doctor John Doe tells, "It's spiritualism. There's nothing to it." They said the same thing about Jesus, didn't they? Beelzebub.
Another one, "It's mental telepathy. We're the scientific church. We don't know if... It's not like that. That's all gone..." No, wonder the poor people's minds are twisted.
But Jesus has give you a sign. "These signs shall follow them that believe." I can't save you. I can only obey what He says do. It's up to you for your salvation. Shall we pray.

Maintenant, je Te prie ce soir, Père, d'accorder que l'Ange de Dieu qui m'a parlé de telle sorte vienne ce soir pour témoigner une fois de plus de ce côté-ci de l'Eternité, avant que Jésus revienne, et qu'Il manifeste le Seigneur Jésus ressuscité devant cet auditoire. | E-69 Our heavenly Father, as we stand here tonight over this sacred desk, preaching the Gospel, the unadulterated Word of God, I pray that You'll bless this people. And, O God, once more, once more, dear God. As I've told them of Africa and the many different places around the world, how that You've scooped in the millions already into the Kingdom of God by obeying what You said do. You said in the last days You'd pour out a double portion. It would come to pass in the last days that these things would come to pass. You promised it.
We're so happy tonight, Lord, to have this blessed assurance, to know that our hearts are in trim with You. And the things that You do, our spirit bears record with it, that it comes from Your Word and it's truth. Your Word cannot be denied, and You can't deny Your Word.
Now, I pray, Father, tonight, that You'll let the Angel of God Who spoke to me in the way, that He will come again tonight for one more witness this side of eternity, before Jesus comes, and will manifest the resurrected Lord Jesus before this audience. And may each one as they set trembling in their seats, look and live. Grant it, Father. For we ask this in the Name of the Lord Jesus for His glory. And grant that it'll be so for God's glory. Amen.

Si par Sa grâce Il vient ce soir et fait la même chose qu'Il a faite au temps de la Bible, quand Il était ici sur terre, rejetterez-vous tous les doutes et comprendrez-vous que c'est le diable qui essaie de vous amener à douter? Et Le recevrez-vous, ferez-vous cela? Levez vos mains vers Lui si vous allez le faire. Merci. Et que le Seigneur vous bénisse.
| E-70 Now, my dear heavenly friends, or heavenly hosts here that we're gathered together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus, I challenge your faith tonight to believe what you've heard to be the truth. I cannot heal people. There's no other man on this earth can heal people. God has already did it in Calvary yonder.
I know it's hard for you to believe it. It's been pre--you've been preached against it. But listen, Jesus Christ, the Bible, you can't say that's not inspired. It's an inspired Word of God. Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. And Christ said the things that He did, would His Church do also. He'd be with them to the end of the world.
And I want to ask you something. If by His grace He will come tonight and do the same thing that He did in the Bible times, when He was here on earth, will you cast all doubts away, and know it's the devil trying to get you to doubt, and will receive Him, will you do it? E-74 Un petit garçon près de chez nous ... J'habite au bord de la rivière Ohio. Un jour il a demandé à sa maîtresse, il a dit... D'abord il a dit: "Maman, Dieu est si grand, quelqu'un peut-il Le voir?"
Elle a dit: "Pose la question à ta maîtresse de l'école du dimanche."
C'était une petite Jézabel maquillée. Elle a donc dit, en mâchant son chewing-gum, elle a dit: "Je ne sais pas, il faudra que tu demande au pasteur."
Le pasteur a dit: "Non, fiston, nul homme ne peut voir Dieu et vivre."
Il était découragé. Il s'est rendu avec un vieux pêcheur aux environs de Six-Mile Island [îlot situé sur la rivière Ohio - N.D.T.]. Et un soir, sur son chemin du retour, un arc-en-ciel apparut après une tempête. The little boy setting in the stern of the boat raised up, and run up towards the bow, and said, "Sir, I'm going to ask you a question. My Sunday school teacher, mother, or pastor couldn't answer." Said, "Can any man see God and live?"
The old man laid down his oars and picked the little boy in his arms, he said, "Bless your heart, honey, all I've seen for the past thirty-five years has been God." When you get Him inside, you can see Him out there.

E-75 C'est pourquoi Il a dit: "Encore un peu de temps et le monde ne Me verra plus; mais vous, vous Me verrez. Et les choses que Je fais, vous les ferrez aussi. Vous en ferez davantage." "Vous en ferez davantage", exactement les mêmes choses. "Ces choses que Je fais, vous les ferez aussi et même davantage, car Je m'en vais au Père."
A présent, que le Bon Dieu vous bénisse pendant que nous essayons maintenant... Et si nous étions allés là ce soir pour trouver Jésus, serait-Il habillé différemment des autres? Il marchait juste au milieu des hommes et ceux-ci ne savaient même pas qui Il était. C'est juste.
Avait-Il un si bon accent et une voix si mélodieuse que les gens se rassemblaient juste pour entendre Sa voix mélodieuse? La Bible dit que la grande foule l'écoutait avec plaisir. Vous ne Le trouveriez donc pas dans de très grandes églises, chics et luxueuses. Il ne sera pas là. S'Il est le même hier, aujourd'hui et éternellement, Il sera avec les pauvres, ceux qui L'ont reçu.
| E-75 That's the reason He said, "A little while and the world won't see Me no more; but you'll see Me. And the things that I do shall you do also. More than this shall you do." I know you say the King James says, "greater." But the right translation is "more." You couldn't do greater. He stopped nature, raised the dead, and everything else. But not in quality, but in quantity, 'cause it'd be in the church universal. "More than this shall you do," the very same things. "These things that I do shall you also, and more than this, for I go unto My Father."
Now, may the good Lord bless you as we're trying now... And if we went down here tonight to find Jesus, would He be dressed any different from other men? Walked right around men, and men didn't even know Who He was. Right.
Did He have such a great accent and such a melodious voice till people would just flock to hear His melodious voice? The Bible said that the common people heard Him gladly. Then you wouldn't find Him in great, big, swell, swanky churches. He wouldn't be there. If He's the same yesterday, today, and forever, He'd be with the poor people, those who received Him.

Et je défie quiconque sur les dizaines de milliers de choses qu'Il a dites, s'Il a déjà dit une seule chose qui ne se soit accomplie exactement tel qu'Il a dit qu'elle s'accomplirait. Et cela ne faillira jamais. C'est impossible. C'est Dieu.

Jesus said, "You say that about Me, I'll forgive you. But when the Holy Ghost comes and does the same thing (in so many words), it'll never be forgiven you in this world or the world to come."
And He promised that these same manifestations, the signs and wonders would be done until He returned to the earth. Now, I believe that He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Now, here's the way I believe the Bible. It's either the Truth or It's not the Truth. There's many promises in there that I haven't got faith enough to make manifested. But I'll never stand in somebody's way who does have the faith to do it. See? I believe it, whether my faith can produce it or not. My faith is in my gift that God has given me. What I see that's what I speak. What He tells me that's what I say. I know nothing else but what He tells me.
And I am forty-seven years old. I seen my first vision when I was eighteen months old, and He has never at one time... And I challenge any person of the tens of thousands of things that He has said, if He ever told one thing but what come to pass just exactly the way He said it would. And it never will fail. It can't. It's God.

If we had just about three or four weeks to stay, then it would be different. But just a few seeds may be sowed. Just forget all--just take all the superstitions away from you tonight.

Now, remember, that's truth. Now, surely God wouldn't let a error blast forth a revival that's covered the earth and sent millions of people to the Kingdom of God and be an error. There's a devil standing there. I've never seen the time but what God always slayed that thing and come out victorious.

Now, the credentials of Jesus Christ is His Life made manifest. Is that right? Then He'd do the same things that He did when He was here on earth.

And when God, the Father, which He said that He couldn't do nothing till the Father showed Him... And God, the Father, had showed Him what was wrong with the woman, and He told her, said, "You got... Go get your husband."
She said, "I don't have any."
Said, "That's right, you got five."

If that was the Messiahic sign then, it'll be the Messiahic sign tonight of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Is that right? "The things that I do shall you also." Would you believe that, lady? Will the audience believe that? Now, it's up to You, Father, to do the rest. Amen.

But if Jesus has raised from the dead as I claim that He has, and this is a Divine gift that is been given, in order that the last days that people would have no excuse but what would know that Jesus Christ has raised from the dead...

But Jesus raised from the dead. And He promised, "The things that I do shall you also." And then if He will produce the same thing here between you and I tonight that He did the woman at the well, we should believe Him. I'm only contacting your spirit, sister, as I speak.
You're aware that something's going on. You know... I want you to raise your hand to the audience if that's right. If you feel kind of a real, lovely, sweet feeling. Right and you know it. That's the Angel of the Lord.

If you're sick, you'd come say, "Reverend Branham, I'm sick, I need so-and-so."
"Well, you're going to get well."
Well, you'd have to take my word for that. But if Christ is here and can tell you what has been in your life, you know whether that's right or not. See? Then you can have faith to know that it's Him. 'Cause you know that part of your life. Is that right, audience? That would give you faith to know, which you know that I don't know.
