Ça touche vraiment le coeur d’un voyageur de ressentir cet esprit accueillant. Vous savez, vraiment ça vous frappe, et c’est quelque chose, et il n’y a rien qui puisse remplacer cela. Et d’être de retour au Tabernacle de nouveau, et de–au service de notre Cher Seigneur.
| E-2 Good morning, friends. It’s a privilege to be here this morning, in the service of the Lord, and to feel this wonderful welcome and fellowship. Just means something to a traveler’s heart, to feel that welcoming spirit. You know, it just comes to you, and there’s just something, that don’t take its place. And to be back at the tabernacle again, and, too, in the service of our blessed Lord. |

E-3 Et maintenant nous avons un service de consécration des bébés, mais je pense qu’on va peut-être le faire dans quelques instants.
| E-3 And now we have some dedication service for the babies, but I think maybe we’ll just get that in a few moments. |
E-4 Pâques approche. Je pense que ça tombe autour du vingt et un. Et je voulais arriver ici un peu tôt pour voir les anciens et frère Neville, au sujet de... je... Peut-être qu’il serait bon qu’on ait une petite série de réunions ici, juste avant le–le service de Pâques. On pourrait peut-être commencer, disons, le mercredi, et continuer jusqu’à dimanche, et finir par un service de baptêmes le dimanche de Pâques, et avoir une petite réunion, une rencontre.
(2) Ce petit tabernacle-ci a été mon berceau. C’est ma première et ma seule église. Et j’aimerais tout simplement y revenir pour la semaine sainte, et–et adorer le Seigneur avec vous tous. Est-ce que tous seraient d’accord qu’on fasse ça et pensent que ce serait vraiment la volonté du Seigneur? Eh bien, le Seigneur voulant, nous commencerons le mercredi qui précède le dimanche de Pâques.
| E-4 We are nearing Easter. I think it comes on about the twenty-first. And I was wanting to get here just a little early, to see the elders and Brother Neville. And about…I…Maybe it would be a good thing if we had a little meeting here, just before the—the Easter service. Maybe start, say, on a Wednesday and run through Sunday, and end up with the baptismal service on Easter Sunday. And have a little…a meeting, a gettogether. This is the little tabernacle that I was cradled in. It’s my first and only church. And I would just like to come back for these holy days, and—and worship the Lord with you all. All would be in favor of that, think it would just be the Lord’s will? [Congregation says, “Amen.”—Ed.] Yeah. Well, the Lord willing, we will begin Wednesday, before Easter on Sunday. |

E-5 Et j’aimerais dire qu’on pourrait peut-être demander au trésorier, ou à l’administrateur et aux autres, de bien vouloir faire paraître une petite annonce dans le journal ici quelque part pour dire aux enfants que nous sommes ici pour adorer, et que nous aimerions avoir une petite communion fraternelle avec eux tous. Un peu comme un retour à la maison et une préparation pour...
| E-5 And I would like to say that we would maybe ask the treasurer, or the trustee and them, if they would put a little ad in the paper here somewhere. E-6 Peut-être que le Seigneur nous accordera une résurrection, avec une–avec une–une plus grande portion de Son Esprit, pour ces prochaines Pâques. C’est un–c’est le... comme l’automne et le printemps. Je trouve que le printemps, c’est vraiment une très belle période, où tout se met à revêtir une forme nouvelle et une vie nouvelle, et ça nous rappelle la résurrection. Pâques arrive vraiment au moment qu’il faut, au printemps. Nous remarquons que la Parole de Dieu est toujours en harmonie parfaite avec Sa nature, et–et tout. Alors, nous sommes...
| E-6 Maybe the Lord will give us a resurrection of a—of a—a greater portion of His Spirit, on for this coming Easter. It’s—it’s the…like the fall and spring. I think spring is such a beautiful time, when everything begins to take on new form and new life, and reminds us of the resurrection. Easter comes such an appropriate time, in the springtime. If we notice, God’s Word always runs just exactly right with His nature, and so forth. So we are… |

E-7 (3) Si le Seigneur le veut, donc, nous commencerons ceci. Et–et si on veut bien faire paraître une petite annonce, comme je disais, dans le journal; et que ça ne soit pas du tape-à-l’oeil, que ça soit simplement pour dire aux gens que nous voulons adorer le Seigneur ensemble, et que nous aimerions vraiment que tous ceux qui veulent viennent fraterniser avec nous un petit moment. Nous serons contents de les avoir parmi nous, qu’ils se joignent à nous, toutes les églises.
| E-7 If the Lord willing, now, we will start this. And—and if they’ll put a little ad, I said, in the paper. And don’t make it glamour. Just tell the folks that we want to worship the Lord together. And we would just love, as many as would like to come along, fellowship with us, a little while. We’ll be glad to have them come along, all churches. |

E-8 Téléphonez à vos voisins pour leur en parler. Dites-leur que nous allons simplement parler du Seigneur, et simplement L’adorer tous ensemble.
| E-8 And you get on the phone and tell your neighbors about it. And tell them that we’re just going to talk about the Lord, and—and just all worship Him together. |

E-9 Je vais plutôt faire quelque chose: si ça fait plaisir aux gens et que c’est agréable à Dieu, et que le trio est d’accord, j’aimerais que le trio Neville nous aide: pendant cette période-là. N’êtes-vous pas tous du même avis? C’est exact. Alors, on veillera à ce qu’on s’occupe d’eux pour ça, si le Seigneur juge bon qu’on le fasse. Alors, nous invitons d’autres chanteurs de différentes églises à venir, et–et à nous aider pendant ce temps. Les chanteurs de votre église, ça nous fera plaisir de les avoir avec nous. Voyez frère Neville, le–peut-être la veille, pour qu’on puisse les insérer au programme, pour qu’ils chantent pour nous.
| E-9 I’d kind of make a move, if it would be pleasing with the people, and good in the sight of God, and alright with the trio, I’d like for the Neville Trio to help us out during that time. Wouldn’t you all? [Congregation says, “Amen.”—Ed.] That’s right. And so we’ll see that they’re taken care of, in this manner, if the Lord so sees fit for us to do it. And so we invite other singers from different churches, to come in and—and help us as we go along. The singers from your church, we’d be glad to have them. See Brother Neville, maybe the night before, and be able to get them on the program, to have them to sing for us. |

E-10 (4) Nous aimons entendre de bons chants. J’aimerais vraiment avoir un bon moment de retour à la maison à l’ancienne mode; c’est là qu’on est simplement tous ensemble. Et faire venir Angie, où... Soeur Angie est-elle ici ce matin? La faire venir, pour qu’elle et soeur Gertie nous chantent Le moment du retour à la maison, une fois, et Tiens bon. Et avec ça, on aura encore l’impression d’être au début d’un réveil, Soeur Gertie. Il a coulé beaucoup d’eau sous les ponts depuis l’époque où nous chantions ça ici.
| E-10 We love good singing. I would just like to have a good, old-fashion homecoming time, just where we just get together. And get Angie. Where…Is Sister Angie here this morning? Get her out, so her and Sister Gertie can sing Homecoming Time for us once, and Keep Holding On. And that would seem something like beginning of a revival again, Sister Gertie. A lot of water has went down the river since we used to sing that here. |

E-11 C’était mon anniversaire hier, et je–je sais que je ne suis plus un jeune homme. J’ai dit: «J’ai plus de vingt-quatre ans maintenant, alors...» Et puis, ce sont seulement mes années... Je ne compte pas mes années depuis ma naissance littérale, naturelle et physique; je compte seulement mes années spirituelles. Vous voyez? Il y a environ vingt-quatre ans que je suis né de nouveau. Et ça–ça, c’est éternel et ça va... Celui-là, c’est un anniversaire glorieux et béni. Et je... Il n’y aura jamais de fin à cela. Ça, c’est sûr.
| E-11 I had a birthday yesterday, and I—I know I’m no boy no more. I said, “I’m past twenty-four now. So…” And, then, that’s just my years…I don’t count the ones I was literally, naturally born, and physical, I’m just count my spiritual years, you see. About twenty-four years ago, I was born again. And, that, that’s Eternal. And it’ll…It’s one great, blessed birthday. And it’ll never run out, that’s one thing sure. |

E-13 Dans la Bible, nous voyons que le seul endroit, à ma connaissance, dans l’Ecriture, où nous avons une directive concernant les bébés... Bon, bien des gens les aspergent, vous savez, et ils appellent ça le baptême, et tout. Et il–il n’y a pas de mal à ça. Mais moi, j’essaie toujours, j’aime m’en tenir à la façon dont la Bible le dit, vous savez. Et, dans la Bible, ils ne baptisaient jamais les petits enfants, ils ne les aspergeaient pas non plus. Ils les amenaient seulement à notre Seigneur, et Lui les prenait dans Ses bras et les bénissait, Il disait: «Laissez venir à Moi les petits enfants, et ne les en empêchez pas, car le Royaume des Cieux est pour ceux qui leur ressemblent.»
| E-13 In the Bible, we find out, the only place that I know of, in the Scripture, of where the order, of babies. Now, a lot of people sprinkle them, you know, and call it baptism, and so forth. Which, that’s—that’s okay. But I always just try to, like to stay just the way the Bible says it, you know. And in the Bible, they never baptize little children. Neither did they sprinkle them. They just brought them to our Lord, and He took them in His arms, and blessed them, and said, “Suffer little children to come unto Me, and forbid them not, for of such is the Kingdom of Heaven.” |

E-15 Donc, le Seigneur amenait les petits enfants... On Lui amenait les petits enfants, et Il les bénissait, simplement, et Il a dit: «Laissez venir à Moi les petits enfants, et ne les en empêchez pas, car le Royaume est pour ceux qui leur ressemblent.»
| E-15 And so, the Lord, brought the little children…They brought the little children to Him, and He just blessed them, and said, “Suffer the little ones to come to Me, and don’t forbid them, for such is the Kingdom.” |

E-16 (6) Maintenant, nous savons que notre Seigneur s’en est allé dans la Gloire, et que Son Esprit est revenu dans l’Eglise pour continuer à apporter le Message jusqu’à Son retour. C’est ce que nous attendons.
| E-16 Now, we know that our Lord has gone to Glory, and His Spirit returned back in the Church, to carry on the Message until He comes again. We’re looking for that. |

E-17 Et ce que nous, nous pratiquons ici, nous faisons simplement venir les petits, et nous faisons venir les anciens de l’église, et je prends les petits et je les consacre au Seigneur. Eh bien, je pense que c’est vraiment un petit service très doux, de voir ces tout petits. En effet, c’est... Peu importe combien nous sommes jeunes ou vieux, un de ces petits a une place dans notre coeur. Pas vrai?
| E-17 And the way we do it here, is just bring the little ones up, and we bring the elders of the church up, and I take the little ones and dedicate them to the Lord. I think it’s such a sweet little service, to see those little bitty fellows. Cause, it’s, no matter how young we are, how old we are, one of those little ones has just got a place in our heart. Isn’t that right? [Congregation says, “Amen.”—Ed.] |

E-18 Or, quand nous venons à Dieu, c’est exactement comme ça que nous sommes au coeur de Dieu. Nous ne quittons jamais ce stade-là. Nous sommes toujours de petits enfants.
| E-18 Now, when we come to God, that’s just the way we are in God’s heart. We never leave that stage. We’re always little children. |

E-19 Quand Abraham avait quatre-vingt-dix-neuf ans, pour Dieu, il n’était encore qu’un petit bébé. Dieu lui a parlé, Il a dit: «Je suis le Sein qui te nourrit, Abraham. Tu vois, appuie-toi simplement–simplement sur Moi et tète, et tout ira bien.» Et Il a changé Abraham, Il l’a fait redevenir un jeune homme, par le simple fait qu’il s’accrochait à Sa Parole.
| E-19 When Abraham was ninety and nine, he was still just a little baby, to God. God told him, said, “I am the breast that you nurse from, Abraham. See, just—just lean against Me, and nurse, and everything will be all right.” And He changed Abraham back to a young man again, just by holding onto His Word. |

E-21 Oh! comme j’aime voir ces petits! Maintenant, comment vous–vous appelez-vous? Elle...?... La petite Sharon Louise Riddle. Et je suis sûr que nous aimons tous frère et soeur Riddle. Nous connaissons frère Riddle, ici. Il tient le magasin de chaussures et de bottes, ici, en ville. Et ils ont ici le petit bébé le plus mignon, la petite Sharon, Sharon Louise, Sharon Louise Riddle. Quel âge a-t-elle, Frère et Soeur Riddle? Quatre mois. Oh! la la! C’est le petit trésor du coeur, n’est-ce pas?

And they got the cutest little baby here, little Sharon, Sharon Louise, Sharon Louise Riddle. How old is she, Brother and Sister Riddle? [Brother Riddle says, “Four months.”] Four months. My, my! That’s a little idol to the heart, isn’t it? |

E-22 Et maintenant, le Seigneur vous a donné ce charmant petit être, et maintenant vous la Lui consacrez, vous la placez dans les bras de ce Dieu qui vous l’a donnée, vous la Lui retournez. Vous la Lui donnez, pour qu’Il bénisse sa petite vie et qu’Il en fasse une vie de service, et qu’Il en fasse... priez Dieu de faire d’elle une enfant qui bénira votre coeur quand vous serez vieux; et si Jésus tarde, qu’elle soit une grande travailleuse pour Dieu. Et vous serez fiers de cette petite fille. Que Dieu l’accorde. S’il vous plaît, puis-je la prendre dans mes bras?
| E-22 And, now, the Lord has given to you this lovely little one, and now you are dedicating it to Him, putting it into His arms, that God, Who has give, you are returning back to Him. Giving it to Him, that He might bless its little life and make it a life of service. And make it a…Pray that God will make it a child that would bless your heart when you’re old, and if Jesus tarry, and be a great worker for God. And you’ll be proud of this little girl. May God grant it now as we take her, to bless her. |

Nous Te prions, Précieux Père céleste, de bénir cette enfant, alors qu’ils viennent ce matin pour la consécration, pour redonner le bébé à Celui qui l’a donné. Et je Te demande, ô Dieu, de les bénir; bénis leurs vies. And now, this couple, this morning, this holy wedlock, You have given into their trust, this lovely child, little Sharon Riddle. And we pray, dear Heavenly Father, that You will bless this child, as they are coming this morning to give dedication, to bring the baby back to the One Who gave it. And I ask Thee, God, to bless them, bless their lives. And may this little child, live, grow and have perfect health, and be Your servant. And may it be a woman that’ll be after the heart of God, and the—the heart of the parent. Grant it, Lord. |

E-28 Et, ô Dieu, aujourd’hui, nous Te demandons de souffler sur Ta Parole, alors que nous essayons de L’apporter aux gens. Qu’Elle prenne Sa position, ce matin, Sa place, qu’Elle s’enracine et se fonde dans chaque coeur, pour que chaque personne qui est ici puisse recevoir Tes bénédictions.
| E-28 And, O God, today, we ask that You’ll breathe on Your Word, as we are trying to bring It to the people. May It take Its position, this morning, Its place, and be rooted and grounded in every heart, that every person here might receive Your blessings. |

E-29 Aide, Seigneur, ceux qui sont sortis du chemin, qui sont infirmes et boiteux en esprit. Ils ne Te connaissent pas comme un Sauveur plein d’amour, comme nous en avons eu le privilège. Nous Te prions de les bénir abondamment aujourd’hui. Et en quittant ce bâtiment, qu’ils soient heureux et se réjouissent de cette découverte du Christ dont ils auront fait la connaissance au cours de cette réunion.
| E-29 Help those, Lord, who are out of the way, crippled and lame in their spirits. And they don’t know You as a loving Saviour, as we have been privileged to. We pray that You will bless them abundantly, today. And may they, when they leave this building, be happy and rejoicing, over the newfound Christ that they have become acquainted with during this meeting. |

E-30 S’il y en a qui s’éloignent en se plongeant dans les soucis de ce monde, ô Dieu, ramène-les. Encourage those who are weary. And bless those who are holding faithfully. Grant it, Lord. May Your Spirit be upon all. |

E-32 (10) Bon, je n’ai pas encore tout à fait récupéré depuis cette longue série de réunions, qui dure maintenant depuis environ quatre mois, et les réunions de ces cinq dernières semaines ont été très épuisantes. En effet, nous avons donc eu des réunions merveilleuses d’un bout à l’autre du pays, de New York à San Francisco; nous avons parcouru le pays tout entier en faisant des zigzags. Et le Seigneur a sauvé plusieurs, plusieurs centaines de gens.
| E-32 Now, I haven’t got just exactly rested up from the long meeting, which has been now some four months, and this last five-weeks meeting has been very tearing down. For, we’ve had a wonderful meeting all the way across the nation, now, from New York to San Francisco; the whole nation, zig-zagging, back and forth, as we have crossed. And the Lord has saved many, many hundreds of people. |

E-33 Rien que dimanche dernier, il y a une semaine de ça, notre Précieux Père céleste... J’ai vu entre mille et mille cinq cents pécheurs se repentir au même moment, à l’autel, à Oakland, en Californie, dans le grand stade. Il était vraiment plein à craquer. On a été obligé–obligé d’occuper le milieu du stade, le milieu, au lieu d’occuper les–les pourtours, et le Seigneur a vraiment béni.
| E-33 Last Sunday, a week ago, alone, our blessed Heavenly Father, I seen between a thousand, to fifteen hundred, sinners repenting at one time, at the altar, at Oakland, California, in the big arena. It was just packed out. And we had—had to seat the middle of the place down in the middle, instead of the—the arena sides. And the Lord just blessed. |

E-34 (11) Et nous y avons vécu le grand tremblement de terre, comme vous en avez entendu parler. Et c’était la première fois que mon épouse vivait cela. Elle était un peu flageolante après. La secousse était très forte, le bâtiment a été ébranlé, et la poussière volait, et les bouteilles sur... Nous étions dans un drugstore, où nous achetions des cartes postales pour les envoyer chez nous, et les bouteilles ont été secouées, et la cheminée est tombée; et les grands bâtiments se balançaient ensemble; des routes se sont fendues, et quelques-unes se sont enfoncées et... Cela nous rappelle simplement que l’Ecriture est sur la muraille. «Il y aura des tremblements de terre en divers endroits.»
| E-34 And we had, in there, the great earthquake, as you have heard. And that was my wife’s first one to be into. She was just a little shaky, afterwards. It was very strong, as the building shook, and the dust flew, and the bottles on the…We was standing in the drugstore, getting some post cards to mail home, and the bottles shook, and the chimney fell off. And the big buildings rocked together; roads split open, and part of it sunk underneath. | E-41 And then, this coming week, I want to rest up a little, if I can, and then get ready for the little revival. Then I go to Canada, and from Canada back to Indianapolis. From Indianapolis then to Chicago. And from Chicago…That’s the Christian Business Men International Convention. And they got me booked. Now, you pray for me, and especially during this revival, that God will direct me. A complete world-wide tour to be start in June, and come back in November, or July, rather. And that’s to go into Europe, Asia, all down through the islands, the seas, and come back through, by the West Coast. Leave the east, and go plumb around the world, come back to the West Coast. Such a needy time! |

| E-51 It was long before I was ever married. I was single, and home. We were just building this church. And we was laying the cornerstone that morning, when the Lord gave me the vision. I had woke up and looked out the window. And it was along in June, and the honeysuckles, or the buds a blooming. And there looked like I went walking out, or something. And I—I saw the Lord Jesus, and saw my tabernacle. And He pronounced to me that this was not my tabernacle; and got me under the sky. Many of you know the vision, because it’s wrote and published, and I believe the fourth or fifth edition, of nearly a hundred thousand books has went in seventeen different languages. And just watch how that has come to pass, word by word, just did never fail! How that we come together in a lovely little group of people, and how the Lord did bless us, and then from place to place, but finally into the evangelistic fields, and over the world now, how it’s gone. |

(18) Nous sommes au temps de la fin. Quelque chose est en train... Il n’y a pas moyen d’empêcher ça. Il n’y a aucun moyen. Il n’y a qu’un moyen pour y échapper, c’est de monter. Il est inutile de chercher à se cacher. Il n’y a qu’une seule Retraite.
| E-53 We’re living in the closing hours of this world’s dispensation. I don’t see how that anyone could look, just take a look at the newspapers, or turn on the radio, and not repent. I—I can’t see it. How that we’re just at the—the eve of some great something that’s fixing to happen. Even nature shows it. The world is becoming nervous. It’s bursting forth its volcanics, and it’s—it’s having a nervous prostration. The great earthquakes are shaking and splitting the roads, and fearful sights of a flying saucers, and missiles that they can hurl through the earth, and destroy, annihilate a nation in five minutes. We’re at the end time. Something is taking…There is no way to stop it. There is not a way. There’s is only one way out of it, and that’s up. There’s no way of trying to hide. There’s no hiding place but one. |

(19) Je crois que la génération actuelle, qui est sur terre en ce moment, c’est celle qui verra la Venue du Seigneur Jésus. J’ai quarante-huit ans. Il se peut que je ne la voie pas. Je ne sais pas. C’est peut-être pour demain. Mais je crois qu’il y a des gens ici qui verront la Venue du Juste, la fin du temps. Et je crois que la plupart d’entre nous, surtout ceux qui sont dans cette église ce matin, ne mourront jamais de vieillesse, avant d’avoir vu une des choses les plus horribles qui soient jamais arrivées à un peuple, ce qui va arriver ici même dans ce pays. C’est la vérité.
| E-56 And as we look around and see these great signs a moving, and this coming revival, if God willing, I want to go all the way into Genesis, and bring out those great striking points, that, “We’re at the end. We’re here.” I believe that this existing generation, is on the earth right now, that will see the Coming of the Lord Jesus. I’m forty-eight. I may not see it. I don’t know. It may come tomorrow. But, I believe that there is some here that will see the Coming of the Just One, the ending of the time. And I believe that most all of us, especially that’s in this church this morning, will never die with old age, until we see one of the most horriblest things happen, that’s ever happened to a people, that’s going to happen right here in this nation. It is truth. |

| E-62 So, sin must be dealt with, and God always deals with sin by judgment. That’s why our Lord died the death that He did, on Calvary, is because that sin was such a horrible thing, that judgment of sin was placed on Him. That those who desire, might go free, through believing on Him and accepting Him as their sin-barrier. Not how good we could be, but how we believe and accept Him. And when we accept Him, He comes into our heart, and that’s where the good part is. It’s not on what we could do; it’s on what He has done, and what He has done for us. There is where, “He was wounded for our transgressions, and bruised for our iniquity, and the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we were healed.” |

One time, out yonder on the West Coast, when just before he died, you know his testimony. His song that he has written, Only Believe, that’s called me to the pulpit. I wonder if Paul, in Glory, hears that old song being sung by the thousands and thousands, and by the different languages. How did he know that that poor little old boy sitting before him there, with ragged shoes on, and not even a neck tie, needing a hair cut, that God would let me take that song around the world! God keeps His Word. |

Dans le marais, il a attrapé la fièvre bilieuse hémoglobinurique, ce qui signifie une mort soudaine. Il s’est mis à faire noir. Il commence à faire tellement noir dans la chambre, mais», il a dit: «Je mets ma foi en Dieu.» Il a dit: «Peu m’importe ce qui peut arriver. Je crois Dieu. | E-155 Paul said, one time, he was having a—a struggle. He was out in the islands and he had a fever. He was nearly a hundred miles from a doctor. Out in the swamps, and the swamp, black-water fever had took him; and that’s sudden death. And it got dark. And he told his little, faithful wife, said, “You stand right by me, honey, and pray. It’s getting so dark in the room, but,” said, “I am believing God. And I don’t care what happens. I believe God. I’ll stay right with it.” Said, “You stay here and pray, honey.” And she prayed. Oh! a-t-il dit, alors je me suis dit: ‘Qu’est-ce que je peux faire?’» Il a dit: «Je me suis assis, adossé à un arbre.» Il a dit: «Oh! je suis si triste. Mon patron veut ce petit arbre, là-bas, et je ne suis même pas assez homme pour l’emmener en bas.»
| E-157 Went up there, and downed his little old tree, and stuck the ax in it, reached down to get a hold of it, and he just couldn’t lift it up. He just…He said, “I’ve lost my strength. I just can’t go any further. I have lost my strength. Why,” he said, “here I am, a big man. I weigh better than two hundred pounds. I got a great muscle, back. Why,” he said, “I used to just kick my knees together, get a hold of most any size log, and could raise it up for them to put chains under it.” He said, “And here, that I…little limb, no bigger than that, and I couldn’t lift it.” Said, “I tussled and I tried, till all my strength was gone. Oh,” he said. “Then I thought, ‘What can I do?’” Said, “I sit down and leaned up against a tree.” He said, “Oh, I’m so sad. My boss wants this little tree down there, and I’m not even man enough to take it down.” |

| E-161 And I just wonder if that ain’t the attitude of a many good true-hearted preacher today, that’s longed to see a Church built without spot or wrinkle, to see the promises of God made manifest. We’ve tussled and tried, and screamed and cried, and preached till we was hoarse, and laid on our pillows and wept. “O God, why is it, just when we get straightened up, that in comes the devil, and busts up and tears up, just knocks down everything we got? What can we do when we see our lovely people, and how they be scattered and gone about like that?” |

I’ve just laid the whole thing in the lap of the Lord Jesus, and I’m riding on it. I’m riding on God’s promise, “I the Lord hath planted It. I water It, day and night, lest some should pluck It from My hand.” God’s Church will endure forever. |

| E-172 But, the Church has moved right on, for Your Word said, “Upon this Rock, I’ll build My Church, and the gates of hell shall never prevail against It.” And we’re riding on it, today, the Rock, God’s Eternal, revealed Truth of the Lord Jesus Christ. Upon that solid Rock, the Church stands today. The atheist, the communistic, the elements of this earth, has rose, and they beat and they’ve stormed. But, she is built upon that solid Rock. |

E-173 Le diable a envoyé–envoyé des critiqueurs. On se moque d’elle. On la persécute. On la traite de tous les noms imaginables. Et on nous a molestés, nous avons été testés et éprouvés, et, oh! tout le reste. | E-173 The devil has sent—sent in fault-finders. It’s made fun. It’s persecuted. It’s called everything, in the world. And we’ve been knocked about, and tested and tried, and, oh, everything. But, O God, as Caleb and Joshua of old, we still say we’re standing Eternally on the Word of God. He keeps His promise. He said He would do it, and we believe it. |

| E-175 And while we have our heads bowed, our eyes closed, in this tabernacle this morning. I wonder if, in Christ’s Name, if someone would have the courage to say, “Brother Branham, this day, right now, in this church, I now raise up my hands to Christ, and saying, ‘From this day, henceforth, I’ll ride on Your Word, Lord.’ I’ll stand there, accept Christ as my Saviour; never try to do things to try to merit my own salvation. I’ll just believe on the Lord Jesus and accept Him. And let Him put that deep Divine love in my heart, and the peace that passes all understanding. I’ll wait on the Holy Ghost to give me…I raised up, one time, and thought I could go do it, but I found out that I couldn’t.” Sure, you never will. But, if you’ll just stay there long enough, till He does it, then it’ll stay there, then it’s anchored. |
