Lord, it is good to be here into this fellowship of the Holy Spirit to minister the Word of God to these who are hungering and waiting. Our hearts are overjoyed, because of the privileges that You have given us. And we pray now, that You'll feed the flock which the Holy Ghost has give us overseer-sight for. And grant tonight, that many may be saved and healed for the glory of God, in the Name of the Lord Jesus, we ask it. Amen. May be seated.

E-2 Je suis un peu enroué pour avoir trop parlé et–et avoir abusé de ma voix, mais j’attends impatiemment, infiniment au-delà de toute mesure cette semaine, comme c’est l’ouverture de notre campagne pour... à Chicago. Et puis, cette année, nous nous attendons à ce que le Seigneur accomplisse pour nous de plus grandes choses qu’Il n’ait jamais accomplies. J’attends vivement cela. Je suis très content ce soir de voir ce groupe de braves frères assis ici à l’estrade, des prédicateurs de l’Evangile, pour prier pour moi pendant que j’essaie de vous apporter la Parole de Dieu à ma manière décousue. Vous tous qui êtes ici, vous êtes pour moi la crème. Et je suis content d’être ici pour prêcher en Son Nom. Eh bien, je ne suis pas fameux comme prédicateur, comme vous le savez déjà, mais j’aime dire ce que je peux sur la Parole de Dieu. Je ne prendrai pas beaucoup de votre temps; et puis, je vais vite commencer les services de guérison, car nous aurons beaucoup de réunions cette semaine. Nous vous attendrons chaque soir. | E-2 Just a little bit hoarse from so much speaking and--and overtaxation of voice, but I am looking forward to the exceeding abundantly this week, this being the opening of our campaign for--in Chicago. And then, we're expecting the Lord, this year, to do for us the greatest that He's ever done. I am looking forward to that.
So happy tonight to see this fine bunch of brethren setting here on the platform, Gospel ministers to pray for me while I'm trying to bring to you the Word of God in my broken way. And all of you that's out here, you're the cream of the crop to me. And I'm happy to be here to minister in His name.
Now, I'm not much of a preacher, as you already know, but I like to say what I can about the Word of God. Won't take much of your time, and then hurry right into the healing services, because we've got many services coming this week. Be looking for you each night. Now, let us put our shoulders to the wheel.

| E-3 This is the only time we're going to be mortal. This is the only time that we going to have the privilege of winning a soul. Let's do it this week. If every person in here will try with all of your heart to win some soul to Christ this week, there'll be joybells of heaven ringing. Let us remember that and do all that we can. Get the sick and afflicted here. How can they be healed, unless they're here to see it? Faith cometh by hearing, hearing the Word.
And now, this afternoon I preached on "Why We Must be Born Again." And tonight, I want to speak, the Lord willing, on "Have Faith in God."

E-4 Et puis, cette semaine, j’ai quelques messages sur le coeur: L’Ecriture sur la muraille; L’Eglise s’en ira-t-Elle avant la tribulation? Ce sont des prophéties et autres, des Ecritures, dont j’aimerais, le Seigneur voulant, parler cette semaine. Pour vous qui aimez écouter les bandes, qui prenez les bandes, mes jeunes gens, mes chers amis, mes frères, frère Léo Mercier et Gene Goad sont là. Ils ont des bandes. Ils apportent des bandes et les vendent avec une très petite marge bénéficiaire. Ce sont mes propres frères et mes associés, ainsi... Ils n’en tirent pas un très grand profit, juste assez pour fonctionner. Juste un peu... En effet, il reçoit un peu, trois dollars et quelques, je pense.
Nous avons commandé une bande ici, il n’y a pas longtemps, d’un certain évangéliste, et ça coûtait neuf dollars pour avoir la bande, la même bande. Et nous en vendons pratiquement trois à ce prix-là, mais... Les bandes ne se vendent pas le dimanche. Nous ne vendons rien le dimanche. La vente doit s’effectuer le lundi ou les autres jours de la semaine.
Vous serez donc les bienvenus pour les avoir à un... Et je pense qu’on aura un kiosque sur terrain ou... Frère Léo, où sera placé votre kiosque? [Frère Léo répond.–N.D.E.] Oui, ils ont aussi avec eux des livres, qui seront exposés devant le bâtiment, après ce soir. Que le Seigneur vous bénisse donc, et priez pour moi pendant que je lis.
| E-4 And then, this week I have some messages on my heart of "The Handwriting on the Wall," "Will the Church go Before the Tribulation Period?" It's prophecies and so forth of the Scriptures, that I wish to, if the Lord willing, speak on this week.
You tape lovers, who take the tapes, my boys, my good friends, brothers, Brother Leo Mercier and Gene Goad is here. They have the tapes. They take them and sell them, just a little small margins. They're my own brothers and partners, so... They don't make very much off of them, just enough to handle. Just a little... for he gets a little, three dollars and something, I think. Where we ordered one here not long ago from a certain evangelist and cost nine dollars to get the tape--same tape. And we almost sell three for that, but... They're not for sale on Sunday. Nothing we sell on Sunday. It must be Monday or the rest of the week.
So you'll be welcome to have them at a... And I believe they'll have a their concession stand or... Brother Leo, where will be your stand? E-5 Dans l’Evangile de saint Marc, chapitre 11, j’aimerais commencer ce soir au verset 20 et lire un passage; et puis, j’aimerais recourir de temps en temps à la version originale. Ça, c’est la version du Roi Jacques.
Le matin, en passant, les disciples virent le figuier séché jusqu’aux racines.
Pierre, se rappelant ce qui s’était passé, dit à Jésus: Rabbi, regarde, le figuier que tu as maudit a séché.
Jésus prit la Parole, et leur dit: Ayez foi en Dieu.
Je vous le dis en vérité, si quelqu’un dit à cette montagne: ôte-toi de là et jette-toi dans la mer, et s’il ne doute point en son coeur, mais croit que ce qu’il dit arrive, il le verra s’accomplir.
Maintenant, j’aimerais lire ce dernier verset dans la version originale:
«En vérité, je vous le dis, si quelqu’un dit à cette montagne: ôte-toi de là et jette-toi dans la mer; et s’il croit dans son coeur que cela arrive, il le verra s’accomplir.»
Mon sujet, c’est: Ayez foi en Dieu. Eh bien, il nous est enseigné dans la sainte Parole de Dieu que la foi vient de ce qu’on entend, et ce qu’on entend de la Parole. Eh bien, la foi, c’est aussi une expérience. Et bien souvent, la foi vient de par une expérience antérieure, cela la fait grandir. La foi est une ferme assurance des choses qu’on espère, une démonstration de celles qu’on ne voit pas. Bien des gens manquent de saisir ce que représente exactement la foi. Certains pensent que la foi est une sensation ou une émotion. Mais la Bible dit que la foi est une ferme assurance des choses qu’on espère.
| E-5 In the book of St. Mark, the 11th chapter, and I wish to begin tonight at the 20th verse and read a portion, and then I want to quote back sometimes, the original translation. This is the King James.
And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.
And Peter calling to remembrance said unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursed is withered away.
Jesus answering said unto them, Have faith in God.
For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
Now, I want to quote that from the original, that last verse.
Verily, I say unto you, That whosoever shall say into this mountain be thou lifted up and thrown into the sea; and shall believe in his heart that it is being done, shall have what he saith.
My subject is, "Have Faith in God." Now, we are taught in God's blessed Word, that faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word or of the Word. Now, faith is also an experience. And many times faith is had, by a former experience makes faith grow. Faith being the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things that's not seen, so many people fail to find the real meaning of what faith is. Some people believe that faith is some sensation or some emotion. But the Bible said that faith is the substance of things hoped for.

E-6 Eh bien, certains pensent qu’elle est une conception mentale de la Parole, mais ce n’est pas vrai. La foi, c’est une ferme assurance. La foi n’est pas un mythe. Dites... La foi est une ferme assurance des choses qu’on espère; une démonstration... Pour faire une démonstration, il faut une ferme assurance. Ce n’est donc pas juste quelque chose que vous imaginez dans votre esprit; c’est quelque chose que vous possédez absolument. C’est quelque chose que vous possédez dans votre propre être. Qu’est-ce? C’est une démonstration des choses que l’on espère. C’est une démonstration des choses que vous ne possédez pas encore, mais vous avez l’autorité de la part de Dieu pour déclarer que vous avez cela. C’est une démonstration, quelque chose que vous avez dans votre coeur.
| E-6 Now, some thinks that it's a mental conception of the Word, but that is not right. Faith is a substance. Faith is not a myth. Say... Faith is a substance of things hoped for; the evidence... To have an evidence, it must be a substance. So it is not just something that you imagine in your mind; it's something that absolutely, you have. It's something that you possess in your own being. And what is it? It's the evidence of things that you have hoped for. It's the evidence of things you do not have as yet, but you have the authority of God to say that you have it. It's an evidence, something you have in your heart.

E-7 Eh bien, ce n’est–ce n’est pas quelque chose que vous vous efforcez d’avoir. J’ai vu beaucoup de cela, dans mes réunions, des gens cherchant à s’emballer dans quelque chose pour arriver à croire. Or, vous n’y arriverez pas. Vous ne faites que battre l’air. Mais la foi, c’est quelque chose de tout aussi calme et posé que possible. C’est prendre Dieu au Mot, avec de l’assurance dans votre coeur que Dieu est capable de garder ce qu’Il a dit qu’Il ferait, et qu’Il accomplira tout ce qu’Il a dit qu’Il ferait. Eh bien, j’ai vu cela bien des fois, des gens qui pensent qu’il faut qu’on prie pour eux. C’est très bien. Il nous faut prier les uns pour les autres. Ou, que leurs mains peuvent être... ou qu’il faut l’imposition des mains d’un évangéliste. C’est très bien. Cela établira des contacts et tout, de la foi. Mais une véritable foi pure consiste à prendre Dieu au Mot. Voilà l’essentiel.
| E-7 Now, it's--it's not something that you just kindly push yourself to. I've noticed so much of that in my meetings, that people try to work themself up into something, to make them believe. Now, you can't do that. You're just beating the air. But faith is something that's just as calm and settled as it can be. It's taking God at His Word and having the assurance in your heart, that God is able to keep what He has said that He would do and will perform everything that He said He would do.
Now, I've noticed it many times, people think they must be prayed for. That's all right. We should pray for each other. Or that their hands might be... or some evangelist's hands, must be ministered. That's all right. That'll bring contacts and so forth of faith. But real, unadulterated faith is taking God at His Word. That's the main thing.

E-8 Dans des réunions, dans mes réunions, je n’en suis jamais arrivé à chercher à faire croire aux gens que–que Dieu m’a donné quelque chose d’un peu spécial pour guérir quelqu’un. C’est une erreur. Dieu n’a donné à personne le pouvoir de guérir quelqu’un. La guérison vient seulement par la foi, et la foi dans une oeuvre déjà accomplie, une oeuvre achevée, accomplie par Christ au Calvaire. C’est à beaucoup d’égards comme, par exemple, si je mourais de faim, et qu’un pain me sauverait la vie et, en passant quelque part à la campagne, vous me voyiez, mourant de faim, et que vous demandiez: «Frère Branham, avez-vous faim?»
Je dirais: «Je vais bientôt mourir si je n’ai pas de pain.» Et vous mettriez la main dans la poche et me donneriez vingt-cinq cents. Vous diriez: «Frère Branham, ça, c’est le pouvoir d’achat d’un pain.»
| E-8 In the meeting, my meeting has never been to a place to where I have tried to make the people think that--that there was something that God had given me a little special towards healing someone. That's an error. God has given no one any powers to heal someone. Healing comes alone by faith, and faith in a work that's already been done, a finished work that Christ did at Calvary.
It's so much like this, that if I was starving for food, and one loaf of bread would save my life, and you passed by in the country somewhere, and you seen me starving, and you say, "Brother Branham, are you hungry?"
I say, "I will die shortly if I do not have some bread. And you reach into your pocket and give me twenty-five cents. And you say, "Brother Branham, this is the purchase power of a loaf of bread."

| E-9 Now, I reach out and receive the twenty-five cents. Now, if you tell me that, and I just imagine I've got the twenty-five cents, I'm only deceiving myself. I've got to hold the twenty-five cents in my possession. The twenty-five cents is the faith that we have to have.
Now, twenty-five cents is not a loaf of bread, but it's the purchase power of the loaf of bread. And after I have received the twenty-five cents, I can be just as happy with that twenty-five cents, as I could be with the loaf of bread in my hand. I can rejoice just as much when you give me the twenty-five cents, as if you gave me the loaf of bread, because I have the purchase power of the loaf of bread, and I know there's plenty of bread for sale.

E-10 Dès que j’ai la foi que Dieu tiendra Sa Parole, même si je ne suis pas guéri à l’instant même, je sais que Dieu a une grande puissance de guérison et j’ai la foi de la faire agir à mon profit. Je serai tout aussi heureux avec la foi qui me dit que je vais me rétablir que vous le seriez si vous étiez en bonne santé et bien portant en ce moment. Cela ne fait aucune différence, car vous êtes déjà en possession de cela. La foi est une ferme assurance, non pas un semblant de foi. Mais vous détenez, pas dans la main, mais une possession dans votre coeur, vous avez le pouvoir d’achat de votre guérison.
| E-10 And when I have faith that God is going to keep His Word, though I'm not healed at the present time, I know God has plenty of healing power, and I've got the faith to bring it to me. I'm just as happy with the faith that says, "You're going to get well." as you would be if you were sound and well at that minute. That makes no difference, because you've already possessed it. Faith is a substance, not a make belief. But you're holding, not in your hand, but in the possession of your heart, you have the purchase power of your healing.

E-11 Eh bien, avec ces vingt-cinq cents, j’aurais peut-être à parcourir plusieurs kilomètres pour me procurer du pain. Mais tout au long de mon parcours, je m’affaiblis de plus en plus; néanmoins, je suis tout le temps content, car je sais qu’aussitôt arrivé quelque part, j’aurais du pain. J’aurais peut-être à gravir la colline, à traverser le fourré, à traverser la rivière, à passer par-dessus les souches, je serais peut-être si affamé, avant d’y arriver, que j’aurais même des crampes à l’estomac. Mais je serais tout le temps content, même si la situation s’empirait et que je devenais plus faible, plus affamé; je me réjouirais, car je possède le pouvoir d’achat de ce pain. Et lorsqu’un homme regarde vraiment à Dieu avec une foi pure, que Dieu est capable de tenir ce qu’Il a promis, il peut se réjouir, peu importe combien il est malade ou combien il souffre atrocement. Tout le mal qu’il ressent, qu’on prie pour lui ou pas, pour cet homme, c’est une chose réglée, du moment qu’il reçoit la foi. Il y a un vieux proverbe, que j’aime citer de temps en temps, qui dit: «Un lâche meurt dix mille fois, tandis qu’un héros ne meurt jamais.» Un lâche a toujours peur. Il détale à la moindre petite chose. Comme nous le dirions, dans le langage des chasseurs, il attrape tout le temps la chair de poule. Il a peur de chaque petite ombre.
| E-11 Now, with this twenty-five cents, I might have to walk several miles to get the loaf of bread. But all the time when I'm walking, I'm getting weaker and weaker, but rejoicing all the time, because I know as soon as I arrive at the place, I'm going to have the bread. I may have to go over the hill, and down through the thicket, across the river, and over the stumps, and I may get so hungry before I get there, till I've even got cramps in my stomach. But I'm rejoicing all the time, just getting worse, weaker, hungrier; I'm rejoicing, because I hold in my possession, the purchase power of that bread. And when a man really looks to God with unadulterated faith, that God is able to keep what He's promised, he can rejoice, no matter how sick he gets or how bad he suffers. All the hurting he is, or whether he's prayed for, or whether he isn't, it's a settled thing with that man, when he receives the faith.
There is an old proverb that I like to quote once in a while, and that's this: "A coward dies ten thousand deaths, when a hero never dies." A coward, he's always scared. He's running at every little thing. As we would call it, in the hunter's language, he's spooked all the time. He's afraid of every little shadow.

E-12 C’est ce qui se passe avec un homme qui s’avance et professe avoir la foi, qui attrape la chair de poule à chaque petit épouvantail que le diable peut placer devant lui. Oh! la la! Il se dit: «Oh! je–je ne me sens pas mieux. Je ne me sens pas aussi bien qu’hier.» Qu’est-ce que ça change? Si vous avez une foi véritable dans votre coeur, que Dieu va tenir Sa Parole, tous les maux, les douleurs, les peines, et les ombres n’aboutiront à rien. Vous croyez cela dans votre coeur. C’est à vous, et rien ne peut vous l’ôter. C’est à vous; c’est un don que Dieu vous a donné, c’est l’assurance bénie qu’Il est capable d’accomplir ce que vous demandez, car Il l’a promis. C’est ça la véritable foi.
| E-12 That's the way with a man who comes and professes that he has faith and is spooked at every little scarecrow the devil can put before him. Oh, my, he thinks, "Oh, I--I'm not any better. I'm just don't feel as well as I did yesterday." What difference does it make? If you've got real faith in your heart that God's going to keep His Word, all the hurts, and aches, and pains, and shadows will not amount to anything. You believe it in your heart. It's yours, and there's nothing can take it away from you. It's yours; it's a gift that God has given you, the blessed assurance that what you asked for, He's able to perform it, because He's promised it. There's real faith.

E-13 C’est ce qu’il faut pour vaincre. Et si vous remarquez bien, Jésus n’a pas dit: «Cette montagne sera rapidement jetée dans la mer», mais: «si vous dites à cette montagne: ôte-toi de là et jette-toi dans la mer, et que vous croyez dans votre coeur que cela arrive, vous le verrez s’accomplir.» Oh! la la! Lorsque vous vous avancez vers la montagne et que vous dites: «Montagne, ôte-toi de là et jette-toi dans la mer...» Ecoutez, vous direz: «Oh! ça ne s’est jamais fait. Je pense que je n’ai pas de foi.»
Lorsque vous dites: «Montagne, ôte-toi de là et jette-toi dans la mer», et si votre objectif est juste, votre motif, juste, vous pourrez ne pas constater le moindre changement dans cette montagne. Il se peut que juste un petit grain de sable soit déplacé après que vous avez dit cela, mais elle est en train de se déplacer. Peu importe combien c’est insignifiant, ça se passe.
| E-13 That's what it takes to overcome. And if you notice, Jesus didn't say, "Quickly, this mountain will be throwed into the sea." But, "If thou will ask for this mountain to be raised up and throwed into the sea, and will believe in your heart that it's being done, you shall have what you say." Oh, my. When you go to the mountain and say, "Mountain, be cast up, throwed into the sea." Look, say, "Oh, it never happened. I guess I haven't got faith."
When you say, "Mountain, be raised up and thrown into the sea," and your objective is right, and your motive is right, you may not see one bit of difference in that mountain. Maybe just one little grain of sand moved when you said that, but it's being moved. No matter how small it is, it's taking place.

E-14 Et lorsque vous levez la main vers Christ et que vous dites: «Je Te reçois comme mon Guérisseur, je crois que Tu me guériras», il se peut qu’il n’y ait aucun signe physique que vous pourriez montrer du doigt, mais là au fond de vous, quelque chose se passe, car Dieu a dit que ça arrivera. Vous ne pouvez pas vous contenter de vous imaginer cela. Il vous faut le croire, que ça se passe. Et comment croyez-vous cela? Considérez Celui qui a dit cela. C’est Christ qui l’a dit.
Eh bien, nous voyons dans la Bible beaucoup de personnages auxquels nous pouvons nous référer, si le temps le permettait. Prenons un exemple: une fois, l’armée d’Israël avait pris les armes contre les Philistins. Ils avaient beaucoup de guerres. Et ils étaient... C’était tantôt à un front et tantôt à un autre. Il arrivait que l’un gagnait et, par la suite, c’était l’autre qui gagnait; et ils payaient des tributs, des dîmes, ou–ou plutôt des tributs en argent les uns aux autres pendant des années. Et puis, une autre armée s’élevait et vainquait.
| E-14 And when you raise your hand to Christ and say, "I receive You as my Healer. I believe that You will make me well," there may not be one physical thing that you could point to, but down on the inside of you, something's taking place, because God said it would take place. You're just can't imagine it. You've got to believe it, that it's taking place. And how do you believe it? Look Who said it. Christ said it.
Now, we find in the Bible, many characters that we could refer to, if time would permit. Let's take for instance, when the armies of Israel, once, was called out to arms against the Philistines. And they had plenty of wars. And they were... It would go first one way and then another. One would win, and then other would win, and they would pay tribute, and tithings, or--or tribute money, rather, to each other for years. And then the other army would raise up and overcome.

E-15 Un jour, alors qu’ils avaient été provoqués en guerre, il y eut un énorme géant préhistorique du nom de Goliath, dont les doigts mesuraient quatorze pouces [trente-cinq centimètres et demi], il portait une lance aussi longue que l’aiguille d’un tisserand. Plusieurs pieds... Oh! il était géant par rapport à tous les Israélites ou à tous les hommes qui étaient de l’autre côté. Et il a lancé un défi et a fait une proposition au roi Saül et à l’armée d’Israël, disant: «Faites sortir un homme de votre armée et qu’il vienne me combattre. Si je le bats, alors, vous nous servirez; s’il me bat, alors nous vous servirons. Et nous n’aurons pas à répandre davantage le sang.»
Oh! comme le diable aime faire cela lorsqu’il pense avoir la mainmise! Si jamais il y avait donc un homme dans toute l’armée d’Israël qui était physiquement capable de relever ce grand défi, d’une manière ou d’une autre, c’était Saül lui-même. En effet, pour commencer, il était un guerrier bien formé. Et en plus, il dépassait d’une tête tout le monde dans l’armée, il avait de très larges épaules, un homme d’une silhouette athlétique, bien formé, un formateur d’hommes. Et s’il y avait quelqu’un qui devait lancer le défi, ou plutôt relever le défi, ça devait être Saül. Cependant, il était tout aussi jaune que la citrouille. | E-15 One day while they were called out to battle, there was a great big prehistoric giant called Goliath, fourteen inch fingers, and with a--a spear as long as a--a weaver's needle. Many feet... Oh, he was a giant up beside of any of the Israelites or any man on the other side. And he made a challenge and a proposition with king Saul and the Israelite army. He said, "Let a man be drawed from your army and come, fight me. If I whip him, then you serve us. If he whips me, then we serve you. And we won't have any further bloodshed."
How the devil likes to do that when he thinks he's got the upper hand.
So if there was any man in the whole army of Israel that was physically able to anyway match this great challenge, it was Saul, himself. For the first place, he was a well trained warrior. And another thing, he was head and shoulders above any man in the army, great big wide-shouldered, athletical-looking fellow, well-trained, a trainer of men. And if anyone should've challenged or accepted the challenge, it should be Saul. But he was just as yellow as a pumpkin. He was afraid to go and match spears with this Philistine.

E-16 Mais un jour, un petit gars au teint rosé arriva là, il ne s’était jamais revêtu d’une arme dans sa vie. Il était un petit berger en petit manteau de brebis. Il avait quelques tartes aux raisins pour son frère, que son père Isaï l’avait envoyé remettre là-bas. Mais ce grand géant lançait de temps en temps le défi. Ce petit homme au teint rosé n’était pas du tout formé à manier une lance ni à combattre une armée, cependant, il avait fait une expérience avec le Dieu vivant. Et cette expérience vivante qu’il avait précédemment eue avec le Dieu vivant lui est revenue, en voyant le conflit entre le vrai et le faux.
Pour savoir si vous êtes dans le vrai ou pas, considérez votre objectif. Voyez si c’est bon ou mauvais. Voyez si c’est vrai que nous devrions prier pour les malades ou pas. Voyez si c’est vrai que nous devons accepter Dieu sur la seule base de Sa Parole et appeler les choses qui ne sont point comme si elles étaient. Voyez si c’est Dieu qui a fait cette promesse: «Tout ce que vous demanderez en priant, croyez que vous l’avez reçu, et vous le verrez s’accomplir.»
| E-16 But one day there come a little ruddy looking fellow, who never had a armor on in his life. He was a little sheepherder with a little sheep coat on. He had some raisin pies for his brother, that his daddy, Jesse, had sent him up there.
But this big giant made his challenge once too often. This little ruddy man, who didn't know nothing about the training of a spear or how to fight an army, but he had an experience with the Living God. And that living experience that he'd previously had with the Living God, raised in him, when he seen right and wrong in conflict.
When you know whether you're right or not, look at your objective. See whether it's right or wrong. See whether it's right that we should pray for the sick or not. See whether it's right that we should accept God on the bare basis of His Word and call those things which are not as though they were. See if God has made a promise, "Whatsoever things you desire, when you pray, believe you receive them, and ye shall have them."

E-17 Or, David n’avait peut-être jamais vu une armée auparavant. Mais il savait une chose, c’est que là derrière, dans les champs, près de verts pâturages et des eaux paisibles, il était personnellement entré en contact avec le Dieu vivant. Ainsi, Saül, comme beaucoup de gens aujourd’hui, beaucoup de membres d’église, ils sont bien formés en théologie, des docteurs en théologie, cependant, ils n’ont jamais eu l’expérience d’avoir exercé la foi dans un véritable défi. Et aujourd’hui il y a beaucoup de prédicateurs bien formés à la chaire et là, dans les écoles, de grands docteurs et autres qui sont bien formés, mieux formés que beaucoup d’hommes qui lancent des défis, mais ils n’ont jamais eu l’expérience de voir le véritable et authentique Dieu agir. Ils connaissent cela seulement de par leur formation.
| E-17 David yet, maybe had never seen an army before. But he knowed one thing, that back over in the fields by the green pastures, and down by the still waters, he'd come personally in contact with the Living God. And he had faith in that God Who had talked to him, because he had had an experience of seeing God's great power.
Now, here's what I'm trying to say. When you see God's great power demonstrated, it ought to rise in you an unadulterated faith to take God at His Word and believe, that what God has said, God will do. If He's God at all, He keeps His Word.
So Saul, as many people today, many church members, well trained in theology, doctors of divinity, but has never had an experience of putting faith to a real challenge. And there's many fine trained ministers today in the pulpits and out in the schools--great doctors and so forth who are well trained, better trained than many of the men who's making challenges, but they've never had an experience to see the real true God move. They only know it from the way of training.

E-18 Et c’est ce que Saül représente bien aujourd’hui, ou plutôt l’église représente Saül. S’il y a quelqu’un qui devait être en mesure d’aller lancer un défi au diable, à ses démons, c’est bien un homme qui est un grand docteur de l’institut biblique, un homme qui connaît tous les mots grecs, qui connaît toutes les grandes doctrines bibliques. Mais ils ont peur; soyez... Ils s’opposeront à cela comme Saül, qui a dit: «Tu n’es pas de taille à affronter cela, toi, espèce de petit au teint rosé. Cet homme est un guerrier formé depuis sa jeunesse. Et toi, tu n’es qu’un gamin.» Et il a dit: «Viens ici, et je te donnerai un peu de ma théologie.» Alors, il fit porter au petit David son armure et son diplôme, mais ce dernier se rendit compte que la veste ecclésiastique de Saül ne convenait pas à un homme de Dieu. Alors, David dit: «Débarrassez-moi de cette histoire, et laissez-moi m’y prendre de la manière dont j’ai rencontré Dieu.»
C’est ainsi que nous aimerions nous y prendre. Non pas avec un grand enseignement du séminaire, mais selon l’expérience que nous avons eue lorsque Dieu avait rempli notre vie du Saint-Esprit et qu’Il nous avait transformés des pécheurs en chrétiens. Laissez-nous nous y prendre avec ce genre de foi, des gens qui ont eu une expérience. Ce n’est peut-être pas un grand groupe entraîné aujourd’hui, qui a ce genre d’expérience. Il se peut que ça soit une petite mission, au teint rosé, là au coin. Il se peut que ce ne soient pas de grands hommes, ni ceux qui sont à l’ombre de grandes cathédrales, de chapelles et des cloches qui carillonnent. Il se pourrait que ça soit une brave petite ménagère qui peut à peine signer son nom sur un papier, mais elle a fait une expérience, que Dieu tient Sa Parole.
| E-18 And Saul well represents that today, or the church represents Saul. If any man ought to be able to go out and challenge the devil, against his evils, is a man who's a great school teacher of the Bible, a man who knows all the Greek words, who knows all the great doctrines of the Bible. But they're afraid; be... They'll talk against it as Saul did, he said, "You're not able to go against this, you little ruddy fellow. This man is trained and a warrior from his youth. And you're nothing but a youth." And he said, "Come here, and I'll give you some of my theology."
So he put his armor and his degree upon the little David, but he'd come to find out, that his ecclesiastical vest didn't fit a man of God. So he said, "Take the thing off of me, and let me go just the way I met God."
That's the way we want to go. Not with some great seminary teaching, but with the experience that we've had when God filled our life with the Holy Spirit and changed us from sinners unto Christians. Let us go with that type of faith, somebody who's had an experience, that might not be a great trained group today that has that experience. It may be the little ruddy mission down on the corner. It might not be those who are great men, and under the great cathedrals, and the chapels, and the chimes a ringing. It may be a little old housewife who couldn't hardly sign her name to a paper, but she's had an experience that God keeps His Word.

E-19 Il se pourrait que ça soit un brave petit garçon qui ne peut pas lire un passage biblique, mais qui a fait une expérience, qui a rencontré Dieu et qui est né de nouveau, du Saint-Esprit, et il est capable de défier le diable en pleine obscurité, dans une confrontation, sur la Parole. Bien des fois, ils s’assiéront dans la réunion et on dira: «Voici docteur Untel. Il est malade depuis un temps.» Et par ailleurs, on voit une brave petite femme, peut-être de couleur, nullement troublée, qui, peut-être, ne connaissait même pas son ABC, être guérie du cancer pendant qu’elle est assise à côté de lui! Dieu veut que les hommes croient cela. «Si vous dites dans votre coeur et que vous croyez que cela est accompli, vous le verrez s’accomplir.»
| E-19 Might be a little old boy that couldn't read a text out of a Bible, but He's had an experience, that he's met God and been borned again by the Holy Spirit, and he's able to challenge the devil in the midst of the darkest to a showdown on His Word. Certainly.
If men like that, and women like that, that make the challenge, that get something from God. Many time they'll set in the meeting and say, "This is Dr. So-and-so. He's been ill for some time." And then see a little old unconcerned, maybe colored woman, who maybe didn't even know her ABC's, be healed of a cancer, setting by him.
God wants men to believe it. "If thou shalt say in thy heart, and believe that it's being done, you shall have what you say."

E-20 Ce fut après qu’Abraham eut rencontré Dieu, eut atteint soixante-quinze ans, révolus, là dans le pays de Chaldée, dans la ville d’Ur, ce fut après qu’il eut rencontré Dieu qu’il pouvait appeler les choses qui ne sont point comme si elles étaient; parce qu’il croyait en Dieu après l’expérience de L’avoir rencontré. Moïse, après toute l’éducation qu’il avait reçue de sa mère, et toute la sagesse des Egyptiens qu’il avait en lui, fut envoyé par Dieu là derrière le désert pour désapprendre tout cela. Et Moïse, un lâche, qui ne se sentait pas physiquement, ou plutôt spirituellement de taille à conduire cette grande armée de gens, mais après être entré en contact avec ce buisson, ce Feu qui brûlait, il endura comme voyant Celui qui est Invisible. Il était mieux qualifié pour le travail en cinq minutes, après avoir rencontré le Seigneur dans le buisson ardent, dans une expérience, qu’il ne l’avait été pendant tous ses quatre-vingts ans de formation.
| E-20 It was after Abraham, that had met God, after being seventy-five years old, down in the land of the Chaldean in the city of Ur, it was there that after Abraham met God, he could call those things which were not as though they were, because he'd believed God after he had had an experience of meeting God.
It was Moses, after all the training he'd had by his mama, and all the wisdom of the Egyptians rested in the bosom of Moses, and God sent him out on the backside of the desert to forget it all. And Moses, a coward, and not felt physically or spiritually, rather, fit to lead this great army of people, but was it was after he'd come in contact with the bush, that Fire, that burnt out that he endured, as seeing Him Who is invisible. He was better qualified for the job, five minutes after he'd met the Lord in the burning bush with an experience, than he had all of his eighty years of training.

E-21 Les hommes et les femmes qui rencontrent Dieu, qui savent de quoi ils parlent, c’est ce genre de personnes que Dieu peut utiliser. Ce n’est pas tellement qu’il nous faille avoir nos écoles pour nous raffiner. Ce n’est pas ça.
J’ai souvent fait ce commentaire rude, apparemment ridicule, mais qui est vrai: «On ne connaît pas Christ par la théologie, mais on Le connaît par la genoulogie.» Cela paraît rude, mais c’est la vérité. On connaît Christ lorsqu’on s’approche de Lui d’un coeur sincère et qu’on croit. C’est comme ça qu’on Le connaît.
| E-21 And men and woman, who meet God, who know what they're talking about, it's that type of person that God can use. Not so much as we have to have our schools and polish up. That isn't it.
I've often made this rude, seemly ridiculous remark, but it's true: "Christ is not known by theology, but He's known by kneeology." It sounds rude, but it's truth. Christ is known as you approach Him with a sincere heart and believe. That's how He's known.

E-22 Maintenant, prenons, par exemple, dans la Bible, le... Philippe, lorsqu’il est allé et qu’il a trouvé Nathanaël sous un arbre, en train de prier, et il lui a dit: «Nathanaël, viens voir Qui nous avons trouvé. C’est Jésus de Nazareth, le Fils de Joseph.» Et cet Israélite, comme il était très fervent et orthodoxe, avec son... malgré toute son érudition et toute son instruction, a dit: «Eh bien, peut-il venir de Nazareth quelque chose de bon?» Vous savez, Philippe avait eu une expérience, il avait vu Jésus dans des batailles précédentes, il a dit: «Viens, et vois.» C’est ça, à ma connaissance, ce qu’il y a de meilleur à dire à quelqu’un. «Venez, et asseyez-vous un moment. Et s’il y a la vie en vous, elle se manifestera pendant que vous serez dans la Présence de Jésus ressuscité.»
| E-22 Now, we take for instance, in the Bible, the... Philip, when he went over and found Nathanael under a tree, praying, and he said, "Nathanael, come, see Who we have found. It's Jesus of Nazareth, the Son of Joseph."
And the Israelite, being very staunched and orthodox, and his--all of his scholarship and his teaching, he said, "Now, could there be any good thing come from Nazareth?"
You know, Philip had had an experience; he'd seen Jesus in previous battles; He said, "Come, and see."
That's the best I know to tell a man. "Come and set down awhile." And if there's any life in you, it'll show up when you're in the presence of the resurrected Jesus.

| E-23 And we see him as he come, how Philip could instruct him and say, "Now, I won't be a bit surprised, that when you stand in the presence of this Prophet... I know you're a good man, and I know that if you're once convinced, well, you'll know the truth. And you know what the Bible said would happen when the Messiah come, so I'm sure you'll be convinced. Now, I want you to come with an open heart. Why, you know, I wouldn't be a bit surprised that when you stand before Him, He will tell you who you are. Why, I seen Him, just a few days ago, when an old fisherman, that was called an ignorant and an unlearned man, when he set in His presence, He said, 'Your name is Simon. And your father's name is Jonas. And from henceforth, you'll be called Peter.' Why, I won't be a bit surprised that He will tell you who you are." He would seen Jesus. He had an experience. He knew, that what Jesus could do, because he'd had an experience. He knew what was in Him.

E-24 Alors, lorsque Nathanaël s’est approché de là où se trouvait Jésus, ce Dernier a tourné la tête, l’a regardé et lui a dit: «Voici un Israélite dans lequel il n’y a point de fraude.»
Nathanaël a dû penser: «C’est exactement ce que Philippe disait.» Puis, il a dit: «Rabbi, d’où me connais-Tu?»
Il a dit: «Avant que Philippe t’appelât, quand tu étais sous l’arbre, Je t’ai vu.»
C’est alors que cet orthodoxe formaliste a pu, après avoir vu la puissance de Christ, tomber sur ses genoux et prononcer ces Paroles immortelles: «Tu es le Christ. Tu es le Roi d’Israël.» C’était après avoir vu l’oeuvre du glorieux Saint-Esprit en Lui qu’il a pu prononcer ces paroles. Il ne pouvait pas les prononcer avant, mais alors il le pouvait, car il s’était tenu là et s’en était personnellement rendu compte; c’est alors qu’il a su que le Dieu vivant demeurait dans cet Homme. Et c’était le temps où le Messie devait venir; c’est pourquoi il pouvait dire: «Tu es le Messie, Tu es le Roi d’Israël. Tu es le Fils de Dieu.» C’était après qu’il y avait eu une expérience que la foi a été suscitée en lui, lorsqu’il a vu la gloire de Dieu.
| E-24 So as Nathanael walked up close to where Jesus was, He turned His head and looked at him and said, "Behold, an Israelite in whom is no guile."
He must have thought, "That's just what Philip said."
And he said, "Rabbi, when did You know me?"
He said, "Before Philip called you, when you were under the tree, I saw you."
It was then that this starchy, orthodox, after he'd seen the power of Christ, could fall on his knees and say these words immortal, "Thou art the Christ. Thou art the King of Israel." It was after he had seen the working of the great Holy Spirit in Him, that he could say those words. He could not say them beforehand, but he could now, for he stood and he seen for himself, then he knew that the living God rested in the Man. And it was time for the Messiah to come; therefore, he could say, "You are the Messiah; You are the King of Israel. You are the Son of God." After he had had an experience, faith rose in him when he seen the glory of God.

E-25 Il n’est pas étonnant que Samson ait pu ramasser une mâchoire d’un mulet et terrasser mille Philistins, après avoir senti la puissance de Dieu se déverser sur lui une fois, et avoir saisi un lion et l’avoir tué.
C’est pourquoi David pouvait avoir une telle foi contre Goliath. S’adressant à Saül, il a dit: «Un jour, ton serviteur faisait paître les brebis de son père. Et pendant que j’étais là, un ours est venu et a attrapé un de mes petits agneaux. Alors, je l’ai pourchassé et je l’ai terrassé. Ensuite, un lion est venu et a capturé un chevreau, je l’ai terrassé avec ma fronde. Et puis, lorsqu’il s’est relevé pour m’attaquer, je l’ai saisi par la barbe et je l’ai tué, tout seul. Il a dit: «Si Dieu m’a délivré de griffes du lion et de l’ours, à combien plus forte raison me délivrera-t-Il de ce Philistin incirconcis?» Il avait une expérience, une expérience antérieure. Il avait vu la puissance de Dieu opérer la délivrance. Il savait que Dieu existait.
| E-25 No wonder that Samson could take the jawbone of a mule and beat down a thousand Philistines after he'd felt the power of God surge through him once, and grabbed a lion and killed it.
That was the reason David could have such faith against Goliath. He said, "Your servant," to Saul, "once herded his father's sheep. And while I was out there, a bear come in and got one of my little lambs. And I took out after him, and I overcome him. And a lion come and got a kid, and I knocked him down with my slingshot. And then when he rose up against me, I grabbed him by the beard and I slew him, single-handed. He said, "The God that delivered me from the paws of the lion and from the bear, how much more will He deliver me from that uncircumcised Philistine." He had an experience, a previous experience. He had seen the power of God to deliver. He knew that God was.

E-26 La petite femme atteinte de la perte de sang avait dépensé tout son argent pour les médecins, et aucun d’eux n’avait pu l’aider. Elle s’est faufilée dans la foule; dans son petit coeur, il y avait de l’espoir, rien que de l’espoir. La foi est une ferme assurance des choses qu’on espère. Son espoir, c’était que si jamais elle pouvait toucher le vêtement de ce Saint Homme, elle serait guérie de la perte de sang. Elle l’espérait. Et lorsqu’elle est arrivée là et qu’elle a touché Son vêtement, elle a été satisfaite. Alors, Jésus s’est retourné. Elle ne L’avait jamais vu en action auparavant. Elle en avait entendu parler: La foi vient de ce qu’on entend. Elle avait appris qu’Il pouvait faire cela. Alors, lorsqu’elle a touché Son vêtement et que Jésus s’est retourné et a demandé: «Qui M’a touché?»...
Pierre a dit: «Seigneur, eux tous Te touchent.»
Il a dit: «Mais Je suis devenu faible. Quelqu’un M’a touché.»
Elle est retournée dans la foule, émerveillée. Quelques instants après, ces gros yeux bleus et brillants se sont promenés jusqu’à repérer la petite femme, debout parmi des milliers, et Jésus lui a dit: «C’est Toi qui M’as touché.» C’est alors qu’elle est tombée sur sa face et qu’elle a reconnu Qui Il était.
| E-26 The little woman with the blood issue that had spent all of her money for the physicians and none of them could help her, that she creeped through the crowd; in her little heart was hope, just hope. Faith is the substance of things hoped for. Her hopes, if she could ever touch the garment of that holy Man, that she would be healed of her blood issue. She was hoping so, and when she got there and touched His garment, her satisfaction was met. And Jesus turned Himself around. She'd never seen Him before in action. She'd heard: faith cometh by hearing. She'd heard He could do that. So when she touched His garment and He turned around and said, "Who has touched Me?"...
And Peter said, "Lord, all of them is touching You.
He said, "But I have gotten weak. Someone touched Me."
She's standing back in the crowd, wondering. After a bit, those great sparkling blue eyes moved around till it found the little woman, standing in the midst of thousands and said, "You are the one that touched Me." It was then that she could fall on her face and recognize Who He was.

E-27 Il y eut la femme au puits qui était à... une mauvaise femme, comme nous l’appellerions, une femme de mauvaise réputation. Elle avait reçu une formation biblique; en effet, elle a pu converser avec Jésus de Nazareth, sans savoir Qui Il était, sur le fait d’adorer Dieu à Jérusalem ou à la montagne. Elle était bien enseignée qu’un jour, il viendrait Quelqu’Un qui serait le Messie, et sur ce qu’Il accomplirait. Ce fut elle qui Lui parlait là, une prostituée répréhensible alors, parlant au Maître. Mais lorsque Jésus l’a regardée, Il a dit: «Femme, va, appelle ton mari, et viens ici.»
Elle a dit: «Je n’ai point de mari.»
Il a dit: «C’est la vérité. Tu as eu cinq maris. Et celui que tu as maintenant n’est pas ton mari.»
Quoi? C’est alors qu’on a entendu la femme dire: «Tu dois être un Prophète. Nous savons que quand le Messie sera venu, ceci sera le signe du Messie. Mais nous ne savons pas qui Tu es.»
Il a dit: «Je Le suis, Moi qui te parle.»
C’était après cette expérience, de L’avoir vu accomplir quelque chose de cette manière-là, qu’elle a pu entrer dans la ville en courant et dire: «Venez voir un Homme qui m’a dit tout ce que j’ai fait.» C’était après avoir eu l’expérience de voir le Dieu vivant agir et opérer.
| E-27 It was the woman at the well who was in... a bad woman, as we would call her, a woman of ill fame. It was she, who had a Bible training, for she could converse with Jesus of Nazareth, not knowing Who He was, about God being worshipped at Jerusalem or in the mountain? It was she that was well-trained that some day there would be Someone come, Who would be the Messiah, and the things that He would do. When she was talking to Him, it was her, standing there, a guilty prostitute, talking to the Master. But when He looked at her and He said, "Woman, go get your husband and come here..."
And she said, "I don't have any husband."
He said, "That is truth. You've had five. And the one you have now is not your husband.
What? It was then that they heard her say, "You must be a Prophet. We know that when the Messiah cometh, this will be the sign of the Messiah. But we don't know Who You are."
He said, "I'm He that speaks to you."
It was after that experience of seeing Him do something in that manner, that she could run into the city and say, "Come, see a Man Who told me all I'd done." It was after she'd had an experience of seeing the living God move and work.

E-28 Le jour de la Pentecôte, alors que cent cinquante Juifs étaient dans une chambre haute, les portes fermées, attendant la promesse, c’étaient des lâches, ils avaient peur de témoigner, les portes étaient fermées à cause de la menace de Juifs... Et après que le Christ ressuscité fut venu sous forme du Saint-Esprit, qu’Il leur eut donné une expérience, des langues de feu se posant sur eux, c’est alors qu’ils ont pu parcourir les rues et que Pierre a pu dire: «Hommes juifs, et vous tous qui séjournez en Judée, sachez ceci et prêtez l’oreille à mes paroles!» C’est après avoir reçu cette expérience, avoir reçu le Saint-Esprit, qu’il a pu témoigner sans crainte et sceller son témoignage de son propre sang, il s’est fait crucifié la tête en bas. Après avoir eu l’expérience...
| E-28 It was on the day of Pentecost, when a hundred and fifty Jews were in an upper room with the doors closed, waiting for the promise, cowardly, afraid to testify, the doors shut because of the threat of the Jews. It was after the resurrected Christ had come in the form of the Holy Spirit, and had give them an experience, and licking tongues of fire set upon them, it was then, they could run out into the streets, and Peter could say, "Ye men of Israel, and you that dwell in Judaea, let this be known unto you and hearken to my words." It was after he had had the experience of receiving the Holy Spirit, that he could testify fearless and seal his testimony with his own blood, crucified with his head turned down. After he had had an experience...

E-29 Avant que Jésus leur parlât de déplacer la montagne, là, par leur foi, avant cela, Il leur a demandé ceci. Il a manifesté Sa puissance sur un drôle de petit arbre. Pensez à tout ce qu’Il aurait pu accomplir avec cette puissance, mais en passant à côté de cet arbre, Il n’y a pas vu à manger, alors Il dit: «Que jamais personne ne mange de ton fruit, pendant toutes les saisons.» Et le lendemain, en passant, les disciples ont vu que Sa puissance avait agi. Ils ont vécu une expérience: Il avait le pouvoir de créer par la Parole et de faire disparaître par la Parole. C’est alors que Jésus leur a dit: «Ayez foi en Dieu; en effet, si vous dites à cette montagne: ‘Ôte-toi de là et jette-toi dans la mer, et que vous ne doutez pas, mais croyez que ce que vous dites arrive, vous le verrez s’accomplir.»
| E-29 Before Jesus told them to move the mountain yonder with their faith, before He did that, He ask them this. He had showed His power on a little old tree. Think of all of the things that He could've done with that power, but passing by the tree, He saw no food on it, and He said, "No man eateth from thee from henceforth, for all seasons."
And the next day when they passed by, they saw His power had went to work. They had a experience that He had power to speak into existence or speak out of existence. It was then that Jesus told them, "Have faith in God; for if you'll say to this mountain, be ye raised up and thrown into the sea, and don't doubt, but believe that what you say shall come to pass, you can have what you say."

E-30 Je ne vous connais pas, vous qui êtes ici ce soir. C’est à peine si je connais quelqu’un dans la salle, mais une chose est certaine, c’est que Dieu vous connaît tous. Et vous serez coupables, après cette réunion, si Dieu accomplit Ses mêmes oeuvres dans cette salle ce soir, après que vous aurez reçu l’expérience que Dieu tient Sa Parole, car Il a dit avant Son départ: «Vous ferez aussi les oeuvres que Je fais.» S’Il a fait cette promesse, et qu’Il la tient, alors vous serez coupables du péché (et le péché, c’est l’incrédulité), si Dieu se manifeste vivant ce soir dans la salle, et que vous partez d’ici toujours avec le doute dans le coeur. Que Dieu manifeste Sa puissance, qu’Il tient Sa Promesse.
Mille neuf cents ans plus tard, Il est tout aussi vivant ce soir qu’Il l’était lorsqu’Il a accompli ce miracle sur la femme au puits. Puisse-t-Il se manifester vivant ce soir, de telle manière que, lorsque l’âge atomique sera bientôt là, ou que votre temps sur la terre sera fini, et que vous comparaîtrez devant Lui, vous soyez sans excuse.

| E-30 I do not know you here tonight. There's hardly anyone that I know in the building, but there's one thing sure: God knows each of you. And you'll be guilty after this meeting, if God shall perform His same works in this building tonight, after you've had an experience that He keeps His Word; for He said before His going away, "The works that I do, shall you also." And if He made that promise, and He keeps that promise, then you'll be guilty of sin (and sin is unbelief), if God will show Himself alive tonight in the building, and you'll go out of here still with doubt in your heart. May God show His power, that He keeps His promise.
After nineteen hundred years, He's just as alive tonight, as He was when He performed that miracle with the woman at the well. May He show Himself alive tonight, so that when the atomic age soon arrives, or your time is finished on earth, and you stand before Him, you will be without an excuse. Let us pray.

E-31 Tu es Dieu dans tous les âges. Avant qu’il y ait la lumière, Tu étais Dieu. Avant qu’il y ait le ciel, Tu étais Dieu. Et lorsque toute vie sera finie, qu’il n’y aura plus d’étoiles qui brillent, et que le système solaire aura disparu, Tu seras toujours Dieu.
Comment se fait-il donc que nous, de petits hommes insignifiants, nous nous mettions à chercher à concevoir dans notre esprit, ou plutôt laisser Satan nous séduire, en cherchant à nous faire douter de ce que Tu as dit être la vérité? Assurément, Tu tiens Ta Parole. Certes, Tu regardes et Tu cherches sans cesse sur toute la terre pour trouver quelqu’un par qui Tu peux manifester Ta Gloire, car Tu tiens à laisser les gens voir que le Grand Dieu qui a fait la promesse tient cette promesse. Accorde-le, ce soir, Dieu Tout-Puissant. Tu es souverain, même sur l’incrédulité. Ta grâce triomphe de notre incrédulité. Et nous croyons que Tu es Omnipotent, Omniprésent, Omniscient, le Dieu Infini. Et nous Te demandons, ce soir, de nous pardonner nos péchés, nos manquements, tous nos doutes et notre incrédulité.
| E-31 All ages, Thou art God. Before there was a light, You were God. Before there was a heaven, You were God. And when all life is finished and no stars are shining, the solar system has vanished, You'll still be God.
How comes then, that we little insignificant man will try to comprehend in our mind, or let Satan deceive us, by trying to make us doubt what You've said is Truth. Surely, You keep Your Word. Thou doeth look and seek out diligently, throughout all the earth to find someone that You can show Your glory through, for You're so anxious to let people see that the great God Who made the promise keeps the promise. And grant tonight, Almighty God, You are sovereign; even over unbelief Your grace overrides our unbelief. And we believe You to be the omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient, infinite God. And we would ask tonight to forgive us of our sins and shortcomings, all of our doubts and unbelief.

E-32 Et une fois de plus, ô Adorable Dieu Eternel, manifeste Ta grande puissance souveraine pour la gloire de Dieu et pour accomplir Ta Parole, de telle manière, qu’en ce jour-là, les hommes n’auront rien à dire contre cela, car ils peuvent maintenant faire leur choix: soit ils croient cela, soit ils le rejettent. | E-32 And once more, Eternal and blessed God, display for the glory of God and the fulfilling of Your Word, Your great sovereign power, that in that day, men will not have a Word to say against it, because now they can take their choice: they either believe it or to reject it. As You have did through the ages, be tonight at the closing of this Gentile dispensation. And O God, if we stuck-up, indifferent, high-headed, haughty-minded Gentiles would just gaze our eyes upon Thy Word, we'd realize, Lord, who we are, and how little we are. But we believe that You've give us a day of grace through Jesus our Lord.
And now, Lord, fulfill Thy Word, and come into this little church tonight, and manifest Your same power, that You did when You were on earth. And we'll bow our heads in humility and give You the glory, for we ask it in Jesus' Name. Amen.

E-33 Je ne vais pas faire l’appel à l’autel en ce moment. Je vais attendre juste quelques instants, n’ayant qu’un objectif, c’est que, par la foi qui est dans mon coeur, qui y est placée par la grâce de Dieu, Il apparaisse ici ce soir et qu’Il accomplisse la même chose qu’Il avait accomplie. Ne soyez pas têtus. Ne soyez pas paresseux, mais soyez prêts. Le problème qu’ont les gens aujourd’hui, c’est qu’ils ont tellement vu la gloire de Dieu qu’elle devient ordinaire.
Il y a quelque temps, un homme se rendait au bord de la mer, car il voulait aller se détendre; en effet, il avait lu beaucoup d’histoires au sujet de la mer, comme vous en avez lues au sujet de Dieu. Et il s’est dit: «J’ai un ardent désir de me retrouver au bord de la mer. Je n’ai jamais vu la mer, j’éprouve un vif désir de sentir l’odeur de son eau salée. Je désire vraiment entendre les cris des mouettes de la mer alors qu’elles parcourent l’air. Je désire ardemment contempler les grosses crêtes blanches s’élever, gambader d’allégresse et heurter avec furie la rive, sachant que Dieu a créé la lune pour veiller sur elle et lui a fixé des limites qu’elle ne peut pas franchir. Oh! J’aimerais contempler tout ce que la mer pourra offrir!
Comme vous devriez être disposés ce soir et désirer ardemment contempler tout ce que Dieu pourra offrir.
| E-33 At this moment I'm not going to make an altar call. I'm going to wait just a few moments with nothing but one objective, that is, that the faith that's in my heart, that by grace God placed there, He will appear here tonight and will do the same as He did. Don't be stubborn hearted. Don't be slothful, but be ready. The trouble with the people now, they've seen God's glory so much, it becomes a common thing.
Sometime ago, a man was going to the seashore, for he'd wanted to go to relax, for he'd read many stories about the sea, as you've read about God. And he said, "I long to be by the seashore. I've never seen it. I long to smell it's salt water. I long to hear the sea gulls as they go through the air, screaming. I long to see the great white caps, as it raises up and dances for glee, and how it jumps against the bank in it's anger, to know that God has made the moon to watch over it, and set it's bounds that it cannot pass. Oh, I want to see all that the sea will offer."
How you ought to be willing, tonight, and longing to see all that God will offer.

E-34 Et sur son chemin, il rencontra un vieux marin qui revenait de la mer. Ce dernier lui demanda: «Où vas-tu?»
Il lui répondit: «Je vais à la mer contempler tout ce qu’elle offre, ses vagues, son eau salée, sa grande écume blanche sécrétée par le sel, se projetant dans l’air.
Le vieux marin a dit: «Eh bien, il n’y a rien d’attrayant là-dessus. Je parcours ces vagues depuis mon enfance. J’ai senti le sel jusqu’à en être enivré.»
Il a dit: «J’ai tellement entendu les cris des mouettes que je n’y fais même plus attention. Il n’y a rien d’attrayant là.» Quel était le problème? L’homme avait tellement vu cela que c’était devenu trop ordinaire, il n’arrivait plus à en percevoir la beauté.
Et à vous, les pentecôtistes et les gens du Plein Evangile, qui assistez à de telles réunions, vous avez tellement vu la gloire de Dieu qu’elle est devenue trop ordinaire et vous n’en percevez plus la véritable puissance et la gloire. Eh bien, c’est vrai. Que Dieu vous accorde ce soir d’être conscients du privilège que vous avez d’être appelés à sortir en tant que peuple et d’être assis dans la Présence de Dieu pour voir Sa puissance être manifestée.
| E-34 And as He went, he met an old sailor coming from the sea. He said, "Where goest thou?"
He said, "I'm going to the sea to see all that it will offer, its waves, its salt water, and the great white foam as it bursts into the air from the salt."
The old sailor said, "Why, there's nothing attractive about it. I've rode those waves since I was a child. I've smelled salt, till I feel that I'm pickled." He said, "And I've heard gulls holler, till I don't even notice them no more. There's nothing attractive about it."
What was the matter? The man had seen it so much, until it was so common, he couldn't catch its beauty.
And to you Pentecostal and full gospel people, who attends such meetings, you've seen the glory of God so much, until it's so common you don't catch the real power and glory of it any more. Now, that is true. God grant tonight that you'll realize your privilege that you have of being called out as a people, and set in the presence of God to see His power manifested.

E-37 Combien croient que la Bible, le Nouveau Testament, l’Epître aux Hébreux, enseigne qu’aujourd’hui Jésus-Christ est le Souverain Sacrificateur qui peut être touché par le sentiment de nos infirmités? Certainement qu’Il l’est. Comment savoir que vous L’avez touché? C’est par le même motif, comme la Bible l’explique: «Lorsque la femme L’a touché, Il s’est retourné et a dit: «Qui M’a touché?» Il lui a expliqué ce qui s’était produit. Il est le même aujourd’hui. Puis, lorsque le... Philippe a trouvé Nathanaël et que Jésus a accompli un miracle sur Nathanaël, Nathanaël a su que c’était le Messie. Là, c’était un Juif. En Samarie, lorsque le miracle a été accompli sur la femme au puits, elle a reconnu que c’était le signe du Messie. Donc, la Bible enseigne ou... est-ce qu’Elle le fait? Hébreux 13.8: «Jésus-Christ est le même hier, aujourd’hui et éternellement.» Et la Bible enseigne dans Saint Jean 14.8 que Jésus-Christ dit: «Vous ferez aussi les oeuvres que Je fais.» Il se manifeste donc le Même. Il dit dans Saint Jean 5.19: «Je ne fais que ce que le Père Me montre premièrement.» Alors, Il est le Même. Il est ressuscité des morts. Sa Présence est ici. Et s’Il se manifeste selon Sa propre promesse, dans Sa Parole, qu’ensuite vous en doutez, c’est votre propre incrédulité.
| E-37 How many believes that the Bible, the New Testament, the book of Hebrews, teaches that Jesus Christ today, is a High Priest that can be touched by the feeling of our infirmity? Certainly He is. How would you know you touched Him? By the same motive the Bible explains: when the woman touched Him, He turned and said, "Who touched Me?" and explained to her what had taken place. He's the same today. And when the--Philip found Nathanael, and He did the miracle on Nathanael, Nathanael knew that that was the Messiah. That was a Jew.
And when the woman at the well at Samaria, when the miracle was done on her, she recognized that was the sign of the Messiah.
Then the Bible teaches, or does it? Hebrews 13:8, that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. And the Bible teaches in Saint John 14:8, that Jesus Christ said, that "the works that I do shall you also." Then He manifests Himself the same. He said in Saint John 5:19, "I do nothing except My Father shows Me first what to do." Then He is the same. He's raised from the dead. His presence are here. And if He manifests Himself according to His own promise in His Word, then if you doubt it, it's your own unbelief.

Il contactait son esprit. Et lorsqu’Il a découvert son problème, Il le lui a dit, qu’il s’agissait d’une vie immorale. Lorsqu’Il lui a parlé, vite, elle a dit: «Bon! Nous croyons que Tu es Prophète. Mais nous savons que quand le Messie sera venu, Il accomplira ces choses.»
Il a dit: «Je Le suis.» Et elle a couru et a annoncé aux autres qu’elle avait rencontré le Messie. Or, s’Il est le même hier, aujourd’hui et éternellement, Il est tenu de se manifester de la même manière.

And if... The 4th chapter, I believe it is, of the book of John, Jesus met a woman, who was a different race from Him, and He said to her, "Bring me a drink." What was he doing? Contacting her spirit. And when He found where her trouble was, and told her where her trouble was, it was immoral living. And when He told her, she quickly said, "Now we believe that You're a Prophet. But we know that when the Messiah cometh, He will do these things."
He said, "I am He." And she ran and told others that she'd met the Messiah. Now, if He's the same yesterday, today, and forever, He's obligated to declare Himself the same way.

E-39 Et alors, madame, je ne vous connais pas, je ne vous ai jamais vue de ma vie, pour autant que je sache; il se fait donc que nous nous rencontrons ici. Mais si le Seigneur Jésus, par un moyen quelconque, me permet de savoir ce que vous Lui demandez, croirez-vous que c’est la même chose, comme la femme samaritaine l’a dit: «Nous savons par ce signe que c’est le Messie»? Croirez-vous cela? Le croirez-vous? L’auditoire croira-t-il? Afin que vous sachiez que la femme et moi sommes tous deux sincères, voici la Bible. Jamais de ma vie je n’ai vu cette femme, est-ce vrai? Nous ne nous connaissons pas... Est-ce vrai? Levez la main afin que les gens voient. Nous ne nous connaissons pas. Et s’Il... Je ne dis pas qu’Il le fera; je crois qu’Il le fera. Je crois qu’Il le fera; mais s’Il le fait, alors ce seul cas pourra régler exactement la question; alors, ce sera votre tour.
Combien n’ont jamais assisté à l’une des réunions auparavant? Levez la main. Ceux qui n’ont jamais assisté à l’une des réunions. Combien... Les mêmes personnes qui ont levé la main pour montrer qu’elles n’ont jamais assisté à l’une de mes réunions, qui savent que ceci est l’Ecriture, ce que Jésus a promis, qu’elles lèvent encore la main. Très bien. Cela règlera la question. Maintenant, s’Il le fait, elle et vous devrez savoir qu’il s’agit d’une puissance surnaturelle. Eh bien, ça dépend de ce que vous en pensez. Savez-vous ce qu’avaient dit les pharisiens lorsque cela a été accompli sur Philippe? Ils ont dit: «Il est Béelzébul, le diable. C’est un spirite, un diseur de bonne aventure.»
Jésus a dit: «Je vous le pardonnerai, mais quand le Saint-Esprit sera venu accomplir la même chose, un mot contre Cela ne sera jamais pardonné dans ce siècle ni dans le siècle à venir.» Que Dieu soit miséricordieux. Nous ne faisons pas de religion; celles-ci sont les dernières heures pour cette race des Gentils. Et c’est la souveraineté de Dieu.

Will the audience believe it? That you might know the sincerity of both the woman and I, here is the Bible. And I have never seen the woman in my life, is that right? We don't know each other... That's right? Raise your hand so that they'll see. We know not each other. And if He will... I don't say that He will; I believe He will. I believe He will, but if He will and this one case would settle it exactly, then it's to you next.
How many's has never seen one of the meetings before, raise your hand? Never been in one of the meetings? How... The same one's that's raised their hands that they've never been in one of my meetings, knows that this is the Scripture, what Jesus promised, raise your hands back again. All right. That would settle it.
Now she and you, if He does, will have to know that it's some Supernatural power. Now, depends on what you think it is. You know what the Pharisees said, when that was done to Philip? They said, "He's Beelzebub, the devil. He's a spiritualist, a fortuneteller."
Jesus said, "I'll forgive you for that, but when the Holy Ghost comes and does the same thing, one word against It will never be forgiven in this world, neither in the world to come." God be merciful. You're not playing church; this is the last hours of this Gentile race. And it's the sovereignty of God.

L’Eglise catholique le réclame, mais il était pratiquement autant catholique que moi. Il a protesté contre l’église, saint François d’Assise aussi. Qu’en est-il de Jeanne d’Arc? Une femme spirituelle qui avait des visions et tout, et l’Eglise catholique l’a brûlée sur le bûcher, sans savoir qui elle était, et des centaines d’années plus tard, ils ont exhumé les cadavres des prêtres et ils se sont repentis en les jetant dans la rivière. Maintenant, elle est une sainte. Cela leur était passé par-dessus la tête avant qu’ils le reconnussent.
Ne laissez pas ceci vous passer par-dessus la tête. Ce n’est pas moi, mais c’est Lui. Ne laissez pas Sa Présence bénie et ressuscitée vous passer par-dessus, alors que vous attendez, le diable vous pointe cela dans le futur, alors que cela est ici même, maintenant.
| E-40 Let me say this: you're looking for something to come to pass that's already here; it's going a past you, and you don't know it. You're trying to place it in a future. Little did they know Elijah was Elijah, till he was dead. Little did they know Elisha was, until he was gone. Little did they know that John was; even the disciples didn't know he was that man. They even said to Jesus, "Why does the Scripture say that Elias must come first?"
He said, "He's already come, and you didn't know him." They didn't know who Saint Francis of Assisi was. They didn't know who--who Saint Patrick was.
The Catholic church claims him, but he was about as much Catholic as I am. He protested the church, and so did Saint Francis of Assisi. How about Joan of Arc, a spiritual woman who saw visions and everything, and the Catholic church burned her to a stake, not knowing who she was, and hundreds of years later, dug up the bodies of the priests, and done a repentance by throwing them in the river. Now, she's a saint. It went past them before they knew it.
Don't let this pass you. Not me, but it's Him. Don't let His blessed, resurrected presence pass by, and you're looking, the devil's pointing you in the future, when it's right here, now.

Je prêchais. Et puis... Généralement, c’est l’organisateur qui prêche. Et après, moi, je viens simplement sous l’onction; alors, je peux rester plus longtemps, plus rapidement, plus vite. Mais celle-ci est une autre onction. Il y a une onction pour prêcher la Parole; et une autre pour oeuvrer au travers d’un don, le même Esprit, deux manifestations différentes.
Mais la femme qui se tient devant moi sait qu’il se passe quelque chose. Cette femme souffre des nerfs, c’est un cas grave. C’est vrai. Je vois une hémorragie. Elle saigne. Et il y a une hémorragie interne. C’est vrai. Et vous avez été à l’hôpital pour une intervention chirurgicale. Une, deux, trois fois, et c’est sans succès. C’est AINSI DIT LE SEIGNEUR.
Soyez-en juge si c’est vrai ou pas. N’est-ce pas vrai? Si c’est vrai, levez la main, si c’est vrai. Croyez-vous être dans Sa Présence, le Même qui a pu parler à la femme? Je ne sais pas ce que je vous ai dit. Le seul moyen pour moi de le savoir, c’est par l’enregistreur. Croyez-vous en Lui maintenant? Acceptez-vous ce que vous avez demandé? L’acceptez-vous comme votre Guérisseur? Ou, pour tout ce que vous avez demandé, croyez-vous que vous avez cela maintenant? Croyez-vous cela dans votre coeur? Alors, partez, et que la paix de Dieu repose sur cette femme que je bénis au Nom de Jésus-Christ. Amen.
Eh bien, il y a une chose dont je peux me souvenir. Il y avait un esprit de ténèbres au-dessus de vous. Et il n’est plus là présentement. Votre foi vous a guérie, votre propre foi dans le Dieu vivant. Maintenant, repartez en vous réjouissant, et soyez heureuse.

I've been preaching. And then... Usually the manager does the preaching. And then I just come in under the anointing, and I can stand longer, quicker, faster. But this is a different anointing. One is preaching the Word, and the other is working through a gift, same Spirit, two different manifestations.
But the woman, who stands before me, she's aware that something's going on. And the woman is suffering from an extremely nervous condition. That is right. And I see blood dripping. She's got bleeding, and it's internal bleeding. That's right. And you've been to the hospital for an operation, one, two, three times, and it's unsuccessfully. That's THUS SAITH THE LORD.
You be the judge whether that's true or not. Is it? If it is, raise up your hand, if that's true. Do you believe you're in His presence, the same One Who could tell the woman? I don't know what I said to you. The only way I know is by the recording. Do you believe Him now? You accept what you've ask for? You accept Him as your Healer, or whatever you've ask for, you believe you have it now? In your heart you believe it? Then go, and God's peace rest upon this woman, who I bless in Jesus Christ's Name. Amen.
Now, there's one thing I can remember. There was a spirit of darkness over you. And it's not there now. Your faith has healed you, your own faith in the living God. Now, go rejoicing and be happy.

Vous êtes extrêmement nerveuse, car vous êtes épuisée. Et vous êtes... Je vous vois tenir votre poitrine, comme étant étouffée. Non, il s’agit de la douleur. Vous avez des douleurs partout, au niveau de la poitrine. Et je vous vois aussi à l’hôpital. Et voici ce qui en est la cause: une intervention chirurgicale à la suite d’une maladie de vésicule biliaire il y a de cela quelque temps. C’est AINSI DIT LE SEIGNEUR.
Croyez-vous maintenant que Christ, le Fils de Dieu, est présent, oeuvrant au travers des ceps, ou plutôt au travers des... je dirais, au travers des sarments, et que Son amour pour vous, c’est de vous accorder ce que vous demandez, croyez-vous cela? Alors, Seigneur Dieu, l’Omnipotent, nous Te prions de manifester Tes bénédictions envers cette femme, donne-lui et récompense-la selon sa foi. C’est au Nom de Christ que nous le demandons. Amen. But the Lord God, omnipotent, knows your heart, and if He will reveal the things that's in your heart... Now, for instance you needed healing, and I would say... Lay my hands on you and go to saying, "The devils go away, and the sickness go away." Then say, "Lady, you're well." You'd have a right to doubt that, because you don't know what that future will be. But if He will reveal what the past has been, then you know whether it's true or not. That's the miracle.
You're extremely nervous, because you've been weary. And you're... See you holding your chest like a smothering. No, it's pain. You have pains all in your chest. And I see you in a hospital also. And this is the cause of that, which was from an operation, from a gall bladder condition, sometime ago. That's THUS SAITH THE LORD. Do you believe now, that Christ, God's Son, is present, working through vines or through the... as I would say, through the branches, and His love is to you to give to you that what you ask for, do you believe that? Then Lord God, omnipotent, we pray that You will manifest Your blessings to this woman, and give to her, and reward her according to her faith, through Christ's Name we ask it. Amen. Et cet homme est malade à mort, si Dieu ne le guérit pas; en effet, il a une tumeur à la poitrine. Et il n’habite pas ici. Il habite outre-mer, en Norvège. C’est une région très rocailleuse et couverte de collines. C’est AINSI DIT LE SEIGNEUR. Ayez foi en Dieu, et dites à cette montagne: «Ôte-toi de là et jette-toi dans la mer.» Ne doutez pas, mais si vous croyez maintenant même, quelque chose lâchera. Il y a un rapport entre cet homme et une espèce d’eau d’outer-mer, mais il prie pour quelqu’un d’autre, c’est un homme, un frère. Et le frère a été dans un l’hôpital et les médecins ne savent que faire pour son cas. Ils ne savent pas si c’est sa respiration ou son coeur qui en est à la base. Ce n’est ni l’un ni l’autre. Ce sont ses nerfs. Si vous croyez de tout votre coeur, maintenant même, et que vous ne doutez pas, vous pourrez recevoir ce que vous demandez. Croyez-vous? Alors, recevez ce que vous avez demandé au Nom du Seigneur Jésus.

There's something connected with this man about waters or across the sea. And I see a woman, also near him, it's in vision, and it is a woman. Here she sets right here with a little red hat on. And I see waters, and she's praying about someone. It's a relative. It's a man. It's her brother. And the man is sick unto death, if God doesn't heal him, because he's got a tumor in his breast. This man's connected with some sort of overseas water, but he's praying for someone else. It's a man, a brother. And the brother has been in a hospital, and the doctor's are stumped over his condition. They don't know whether it's his breathing or whether it's his heart that's a doing it. It's neither one. It's his nerves. If you'll believe with all your heart, right now, and don't doubt, you can have what you ask for. Do you believe? Then receive what you've ask for in the Name of the Lord Jesus.

How many sinners would raise to your feet and say, "I am a sinner. And I now believe on the Lord Jesus. This is my first time of ever seeing His power move. I'm convinced, after He has manifested Himself, that He's here, and He's risen from the dead. I want to accept Him as my Saviour."? Stand to your feet.
You church member, shame on you. You may be in a form of creeds that serve Christ, but never know what it is to be born again. Will you say, "I now am willing to surrender my creeds for an experience of being borned again, to let that Spirit that's moving in this building tonight, be my Saviour, Jesus Christ." Would you stand to your feet?

And maybe you seen Him before, and it's become a--a vain to you, like the salt water. But now, a new experience is happened, and you want Him to heal you, would you stand to your feet and say, "I am now accept Jesus Christ as my Healer."? All, everywhere, up in the balconies, stand to your feet and believe on Him just now. Let all the Christians that's believing, stand to their feet also, laying your hands upon those who are standing near you for something.
What can happen just now? The great living God Who has manifested Himself as being omnipresent on the platform, in the audience, around the circle, everywhere He is present. E-51 Ô Adorable Dieu éternel, Toi qui étais au commencement, qui avais parlé à Job, disant: «Où étais-tu quand Je fondais la terre, alors que les étoiles du matin éclataient en chants d’allégresse et que les fils de Dieu poussaient des cris de joie?», remplis chaque coeur ici, en ce moment même, d’une foi suffisante. Puissent-ils ne pas rester assis là, comme le grand poète l’a dit: «Ne soyez pas comme un troupeau muet qu’on conduit», que l’on doit conduire à sa propre nourriture, lui attacher un joug au cou pour le garder assez longtemps pour paître. Mais puissent-ils s’élever dans la foi et dans la puissance de la résurrection, être guéris et être sauvés maintenant même, alors que je chasse l’esprit de doute, qui exerce son emprise sur cette salle ce soir. Au Nom de Jésus-Christ, qu’il s’en aille, pour la gloire de Dieu. Que les gens lèvent maintenant les mains, qu’ils se réjouissent dans le Seigneur, qu’ils soient sauvés, qu’ils soient remplis du Saint-Esprit et qu’ils soient guéris pour la gloire de Dieu.

But may they rise in the faith and in the power of the resurrection and be healed and saved just now, as I cast away the doubting spirit, that holds this building tonight. In the Name of Jesus Christ, may it go, for the glory of God. And let the people raise their hands now, and rejoice in the Lord, be saved, and filled with the Holy Ghost, and healed for God's glory.
