E-1 Dieu Tout-Puissant, Auteur de la Vie Eternelle, Donateur de tout don excellent et parfait, nous venons à Toi au Nom de Ton Fils bien-aimé, le Seigneur Jésus. Et humblement, nous Te rendons grâces, Seigneur, pour les bénédictions que Tu nous as accordées. Et je Te prie de toucher la soeur qui est maintenant malade quelque part dans cet auditoire. Nous, en tant qu’Eglise du Dieu vivant, nous demandons maintenant que le mauvais esprit qui voulait faire du mal à notre soeur la quitte, afin qu’elle puisse se réjouir des services ce soir dans la Présence de l’Agneau de Dieu.
Nous Te demandons, Père, de bénir frère Joseph Boze alors qu’il part pour l’Afrique prêcher dans ces régions du monde. Que Ta main de miséricorde le guide, Seigneur. Protège-le. Accorde-lui la santé et la force. Puisse-t-il nous revenir encore, se réjouissant, apportant de précieuses gerbes. Accorde-le.

| E-1 Almighty God. The Author of Everlasting Life. The Giver of every good and perfect gift. We are coming to Thee in the Name of Thy beloved Son, the Lord Jesus. And we humbly thank Thee, Lord, for the blessings that Thou has given us. And I pray that You will touch the sister who is now sick somewhere in this audience. We, as the Church of the living God, we now ask that the evil spirit that would do the harm to our sister, will depart from her, that she might enjoy the services tonight in the Presence of the Lamb of God.
We ask You, Father, to bless Brother Joseph Boze as he leaves for Africa and to minister in the parts of the world. Let Thy hand of mercy guide him, Lord. Give him safety. Give him health and strength, and may he return to us again, rejoicing, bringing precious sheaves. Grant it.
Forgive us of our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us. And we pray now, that the Holy Spirit will altogether take the meeting under His control and get glory to God our Father. For we ask it in His Name. Amen. Be seated.

E-2 Les–les mots me manquent pour dire combien j’apprécie ce grand Chicago et sa collaboration pendant ces huit soirées passées à la réunion. A toutes les églises et à tout le monde, c’est si hautement apprécié. Et j’apprécie cet auditorium de l’école secondaire Lane Tech. Le concierge et tous ceux qui sont attachés à cette école ont été si gentils envers nous en nous permettant de l’avoir. Et j’aimerais particulièrement remercier pour la bonne musique et les chanteurs. Le petit quatuor qui a chanté il y a quelques instants, The Youth For Christ, [Jeunesse pour Christ] de Wisconsin, nous les remercions. | E-2 I do not have the--the vocabulary to say how I appreciate this great Chicago and their cooperation in these past eight nights of meeting. To all the churches and to the peoples, it is so highly appreciated. And I appreciate this Lane Tech High School auditorium. And to the custodian and to all those who are affiliated in this school, they have been so kind to us to let us have it. And I want to especially thank the fine music and the singers. The little quartet just sing a few moments ago, of the Youth For Christ, from Wisconsin, we thank them. And for our precious colored friends, I just walked into the room there and they were singing that song that ought to shake ever sinner to his knees. "Oh, love of God, how rich and pure."

E-3 Je pensais, après ce film émouvant d’hier soir, que notre frère Osborn a projeté ici sur leurs gens là-bas en Afrique, couchés malades et... Oh! Nous avons honte de nous-mêmes de ne leur avoir pas apporté l’Evangile plus tôt que ça. Mais par la grâce de Dieu, nous ferons... Je ferai tout mon possible pour eux comme j’y retourne.
Et à frère Johnson, le–le chanteur, oh! comme il a très bien chanté pour nous! Et nous l’apprécions. Et au pianiste et à tous, les ministres, leur collaboration... Et à notre précieux jeune frère Joseph. Il est maintenant parti, je pense.
Mais Joseph a été un vrai ami pour moi. J’aime ce petit homme. Et nous nous sommes tenus l’un à côté de l’autre. Je dis le petit homme. Je sais qu’il est plus grand que moi, mais il y a juste quelque chose en lui que... Oh! Donc il... Je l’aime vraiment, un si merveilleux petit homme. Je l’aime parce qu’il aime notre Seigneur. Et j’ai vu Joseph dans plusieurs situations difficiles, mais jamais je ne l’ai vu afficher un comportement inférieur à celui d’un chrétien dans tout ce qu’il faisait. Contre vents et marées, nous nous sommes tenus l’un à côté de l’autre. Et puisse Dieu bénir notre amour mutuel alors que nous continuons.
| E-3 I was thinking, after that stirring film last night, that our Brother Osborn showed here, of their people way over there in Africa laying sick and... Oh, we feel ashamed of ourselves, for not taking the Gospel to them sooner than this. But by the grace of God we will do... I will do all that I can for them as a I go back again.
And for the Brother Johnson the--the singer, how beautifully he sang for us. And we appreciate him. And for the pianist and all though, and for the ministers, their cooperation... And for our precious little brother, Joseph. He's gone out now, I believe.
But Joseph has been a real buddy to me. I love the little fellow. And we stood by each other. I say little fellow. I know that he's larger than I am, but there's just something about him that... Oh, he just... I just love him, such a wonderful little fellow. I love him because that he loves our Lord. And I've seen Joseph in many tight places, but I never seen him behave himself any less than a Christian in everything that he did. And through thick and thin we have stood by each other. And may God bless our love for each other as we continue on.

Et je ne peux pas prêcher. Nous le savons. Comme frère Osborn l’a dit à l’estrade hier soir, au sujet... Il a dit que personne ne connaît mieux que lui sa raison d’être ici.
Ainsi... Mais, supportez-nous juste un petit instant. Mais j’aime dire ce que je connais à Son sujet, car je L’aime.
| E-4 And to you other ministering brothers, that's been in the meetings, someday when it's all over... And just think, when all these great choirs gather together, won't it be wonderful.
You might say, "Brother Branham, do you believe that they'll still have their talent?" Certainly. Sure. They were given that forever.
If you notice, when the witch of Endor called up the spirit of Samuel, he was still a prophet. So death only moves us from a different place of abiding. This is just for a little while, and that one's eternal. So we're looking to that day.
I heard Brother Joseph announce the meetings. We would be glad to have you. And that choirs and things, come on over to these meetings. I'd sure love that. And I'm sure the people would too. Nothing like good singing, is there? Oh, it's wonderful.
Now, tonight being the closing night... And of course I'm always just a little tired and get hoarse. I--I haven't got an official campaign manager at these times, since our dear precious brother Ern Baxter, had to return to his church. It was calling for him. His church is almost the size of this auditorium. So to be gadding around across the country with me, his church wouldn't stand for it any longer. He had to return back to them or he'd probably lose his church. A wonderful soul, a wonderful man of God, and I love him. But he had to go back, and since then, I haven't had a campaign manager. So I have to try to speak myself. So I'm insufficient for that, because I'm not a educated person. And I can't preach; we know that. As Brother Osborn said on the platform last night, about... He said, no one knows it any better than he did, about his will of being here.
So... But you suffer with us just a little while. But I love to tell what I know about Him. For I love Him.

E-5 Ce soir, j’aimerais lire une portion de l’Ecriture. Et nous ne vous garderons pas très longtemps. Puis, nous allons prier pour les malades. Et, oh! comme mon coeur brûlait hier soir quand j’ai vu cette grande masse de gens affluer dans les allées pour accepter leur guérison sur base de la Parole Eternelle de Dieu! Cela a ravi mon coeur. Cela a augmenté ma foi en vous, en vous voyant disposés à croire juste sur base de la Parole.
Frère Osborn a un grand ministère de la prédication de la Parole. Et la Parole vaincra le diable n’importe où, n’importe quand, dans toutes les circonstances. Jésus l’a prouvé, quand Il a vaincu Satan sans utiliser Sa puissance, mais uniquement sur base de la Parole du Père. «Il est écrit. Il est écrit.» Et Il l’a vaincu.
| E-5 I wish to read tonight a portion of the Scripture. And we will not keep you to long. Then we're going to pray for the sick. And oh, how my heart burned last night when I seen that great massive group of people come into the aisles to accept their healing on the basis of God's eternal Word. That thrilled my heart. It brought my faith up in you to see that you would believe right on the Word.
Brother Osborn has a great ministry of preaching the Word. And the Word will defeat the devil anywhere, any time, under any conditions. Jesus proved it when he defeated Satan, not using His power, but just on the Word of the Father. "It is written. It is written." And He defeated him.

E-6 Dans le Livre de Révélations de Jésus-Christ. Et le–le chapitre 3, verset 20, j’aimerais lire cette portion:
Voici, je me tiens à la porte, et je frappe. Si quelqu’un entend ma voix et ouvre la porte, j’entrerai chez lui, je souperai avec lui, et lui avec moi.
C’est le passage le plus frappant des Ecritures. Il y a là quelque chose qui fait que chaque fois que je le lis, cela ne fait que ravir mon coeur. C’est un tableau du Seigneur frappant à la porte.
Je n’arrive pas à me rappeler pour le moment le tableau ou l’artiste qui a peint ce tableau relatif à cet évènement. Mais tous les tableaux célèbres, avant de pouvoir être donc placés au musée, doivent d’abord passer par les critiques. Et après être passés par les critiques, alors ils peuvent être placés au musée.
| E-6 In the book of the Revelations of Jesus Christ. And the--the 3rd chapter and the 20th verse, I wish to read this portion.
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
This is a most striking text of Scripture. There's something about it that each time when I read it, it just thrills my heart. It's a picture of the Lord knocking at the door.
I cannot call in my memory at this time, the picture or the artist that the picture was painted by him of this event. But all famous pictures, before they can ever be put into the hall of fame, they first have to go through the critics. And then when they have passed through the critics, then they can go into the hall of fame.

E-7 C’est pareil avec l’Eglise. Dieu peint un tableau de la belle et sainte Eglise. Et avant qu’Elle soit donc enlevée de la terre pour le musée, au Palais de Dieu, Elle doit d’abord franchir l’étape des critiques.
«Tous ceux qui vivent pieusement en Jésus-Christ seront persécutés. Heureux serez-vous lorsqu’on dira faussement de vous toute sorte de mal à cause de Mon Nom.»
Et cet artiste a peint ce tableau de Jésus frappant à la porte. Quand ce tableau est passé par les critiques, l’un d’eux s’est levé et a dit: «Monsieur, une seule chose que je peux trouver contre le tableau, c’est que vous n’avez pas prévu de loquet à la porte.»
Et l’artiste a dit: «Oh! Non, c’est comme ça que je l’ai peint.» Il a dit: «Cette porte est la porte du coeur. Et le loquet se trouve à l’intérieur. C’est à vous d’ouvrir la porte.»
| E-7 That's the way it is with the Church. God is painting a picture of a beautiful, holy Church. And before it can ever be taken from the earth to the hall of fame in the palace of God, it first must pass down the line of the critics.
"All that live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecutions. Blessed are you when men shall say all manner of evil about you, falsely, for My Name sake."
And this artist painted the picture of Jesus knocking at the door. When it went through the critics, one rose said, "Sir, there's just one thing that I can find wrong with the picture; that is, you do not have any latch on the door."
And the artist said, "Oh, no, I painted it that way." He said "That door is the door to the heart. And the latch is on the inside. You have to open the door."

E-8 Et nous nous posons des questions quand on frappe à la porte. Pourquoi un homme frappe-t-il à la porte? Il cherche à entrer. Il veut entrer. C’est pourquoi il frappe.
Beaucoup de grands hommes, dans ce très vaste monde et au cours des siècles de son existence, ont frappé aux portes. Et je pense maintenant: Que serait-il arrivé si le grand César se présentait à la porte d’un paysan et y frappait? Et en ouvrant la porte, le paysan, voyant qui c’était, qui frappait, se prosternerait probablement par terre et dirait: «Bienvenu, grand César. Entrez simplement dans ma maison, et c’est pour moi un honneur que vous entriez dans ma modeste demeure. Et tout ce que vous trouvez par ici, que votre coeur désire, prenez-le, car c’est à vous.»
Que serait-il arrivé si feu Adolphe Hitler se présentait à la porte de l’un de ses soldats, et qu’il y frappait, et que ce soldat, regardant dehors, voyait que c’était le grand führer de l’Allemagne? Le soldat ouvrirait largement la porte, il se tiendrait au garde-à-vous et saluerait le grand führer allemand et lui prierait d’entrer. «Et tout ce que vous voudrez dans ma maison, prenez-le. C’est à vous.» Si Hitler disait: «Je prendrai cette horloge en or qui est suspendue là au mur comme souvenir.» Peu importe sa valeur, ce serait pour le soldat un honneur que de donner une telle chose au führer allemand.
| E-8 And we would wonder as we see knocking at the door. What does a man knock on the door for? He's trying to gain entrance. He wants to come in. That's his reason for knocking.
Many great men in this great wide world and in its years that it's existed, has knocked on doors. And I'm thinking now. What would take place if the great Caesar would've come down to the door of a peasant and knocked at the door. When the peasant opened the door and could've seen who it was, knocking, he would've probably prostrated himself on the floor and said, "Welcome, great Caesar. Just come into my house and honor me by coming into my humble abode. And whatever you find in here, that your heart desires, take it, for it's yours."
What would've took place if the late Adolf Hitler would've come down to the door of one of his soldiers, and would've knocked at the door? And the soldier, looking out and would've seen that it was the great Fuehrer of Germany? The soldier would've swung open the door, and stood at attention, and the saluted the great German Fuehrer and ask him to come in. "And anything you want in my house, take it. It's yours."
If Hitler would've said, "I'll take that golden clock setting on the wall for a souvenir." Though no matter how valuable it would've been, the soldier would've been honored to have given such as that to the German Fuehrer.

E-9 Vous savez, la raison, c’est l’importance de la personne à votre porte. Quand une personne importante vient vous visiter... Il n’y a pas de bon démocrate dans tout Chicago ce soir qui ne se sentirait pas hautement honoré si le président Dwight Eisenhower frappait à sa porte. Quand bien même il serait en désaccord avec lui sur la politique, néanmoins il est le président des Etats-Unis d’Amérique. C’est un homme important. Et tout bon démocrate apprécierait cela, l’honneur pour lui de voir le président des Etats-Unis, le président Dwight Eisenhower, frapper à sa porte. Il dirait: «Entrez, monsieur. Et tout ce que je peux faire pour vous mettre à l’aise pendant que vous êtes ici... Entrez.» Son coeur se réjouirait de savoir que le président des Etats-Unis a frappé à sa porte. En effet, il reconnaîtrait que le président a une mission pour lui, ou à... quelque chose à lui dire, sinon il ne frapperait pas à la porte.
| E-9 You know, the reason, it's the importance of the person at your door. When an important person comes to visit you... There's not a good democrat in all of Chicago tonight but what would feel highly honored, if President Dwight Eisenhower knocked on his door. Though he different with him in politics, yet he is the President of the United States of America. He's an important man. And just any good democrat would appreciate that, the honor of having the President of the United States, President Dwight Eisenhower to knock at his door. He would say, "Come in, sir. And anything that I can do to make you comfortable while you're here. Enter in." His heart would've been thrilled to know that the President of the United States was knocking at his door. For he would know that the President had a mission for him, or to--something to tell him, or he wouldn't be knocking at the door.

E-10 Tout récemment, la reine d’Angleterre a visité notre beau pays; c’est la fille du feu roi George, pour qui j’ai eu le privilège, par la grâce de Dieu, de prier, quand il fut guéri de la sclérose en plaques. Et pendant son séjour ici aux Etats-Unis, si elle se présentait à l’une de nos portes et y frappait, nous serions hautement honorés de voir la reine d’Angleterre frapper à notre porte, même si nous ne sommes pas ses sujets. Cependant, elle est très importante. C’est pourquoi nous nous sentirions honorés, qu’elle ait frappé à notre porte. Elle est une femme importante. Elle est la plus grande reine de la terre, sur le plan national. Et nous serions honorés du fait qu’elle est venue.
Mais, oh! qui est plus important que Jésus? Et qui est plus rejeté que Jésus? Qui est plus grand que Lui? Et pourtant, Il se tient chaque jour et frappe, et nous Le rejetons. Il veut entrer dans notre coeur afin de pouvoir nous bénir et faire pour nous ce qu’aucun roi, aucun potentat, ou aucune autre personne importante ne pourrait faire. Et pourtant, nous Le rejetons. Chaque jour, des milliers de fois, des milliers Le chassent de la porte du coeur des gens. Le plus grand honneur qu’un homme ou une femme ou un enfant puisse jamais avoir, c’est de voir le Seigneur Jésus frapper à la porte de son coeur. Le Roi des rois et le Seigneur des seigneurs, et pourtant, Il est rejeté plus que le journaliste, ou le vendeur des livres, ou la société des balais, ou le... une autre personne qui vient vous dépouiller plutôt que vous donner. Et il n’y a personne d’autre qui puisse frapper à votre porte avec un don comparable à celui qu’Il a pour vous, car Il a pour vous la Vie Eternelle. Il vous apporte la guérison de votre corps. Il vous apporte la joie quand vous êtes triste. Il vous apporte la paix quand votre esprit est troublé. Il vous apporte l’espérance quand vous êtes assailli par les doutes, la foi quand vous êtes en proie aux frayeurs, l’incorruptibilité face à votre corruption, la vie face à votre mort, et pourtant, nous Le rejetons toujours.
| E-10 Just recently the Queen of England visit our lovely nation; the daughter of the late King George, whom it was my privilege, by God's grace, to pray for, when he was healed with multiple sclerosis. And she being here in the United States, if she would've come to any of our doors and knocked at the door, we'd have been highly honored to have the Queen of England knock at our door. Though we are not her subjects. But she's so important. That's why we'd feel honored at her knocking at our door. She's an important woman. She's the greatest queen on the earth, nationally speaking. And we'd have had honor for her to come.
But, oh, who's more important than Jesus? And who's more turned away than Jesus? Who's greater than He is? And yet He stands and knocks daily, and we turn Him away. He wants to gain entrance to our heart, so that He can bless us, and do for us that what no king, or potentate, or any other important person could do. And yet we turn Him away. Daily, thousands times thousands turn Him from their heart's door. It's the greatest honor then any man, or woman, or child could ever have is to have the Lord Jesus to knock at your heart's door. The King of kings and the Lord of lords and yet He's turned away more than the newspaper man, or the book salesman, or the brush company, or the--some other person that comes to take from you instead of give to you. And there's no one else could knock at your door with such a gift that He has for you, for He has for you Eternal Life. He has for you healing for your body. He has joy for your sorrow. He has peace for your troubled mind. He has hope for your doubts, faith for your fears, incorruption for your corruption, Life for your death; and still we turn Him away.

E-11 Mais vous pourrez me dire: «Frère Branham, j’ai déjà fait cela. Quand Jésus a frappé à ma porte, je L’ai laissé entrer.» Bon, c’est bien. Mais quand Il est entré dans votre coeur, L’avez-vous accueilli dans tout votre être?
Il y a beaucoup de gens qui veulent accueillir Jésus en tant que Sauveur; mais peut-Il devenir votre Seigneur? Seigneur veut dire le propriétaire. Le Seigneur a un contrôle total. Vous L’accueilleriez à bras ouverts pour qu’Il vous préserve de l’enfer et des tourments. Vous L’accueilleriez comme votre Sauveur; mais êtes-vous disposés à L’accueillir comme votre Seigneur pour qu’Il exerce un plein contrôle?
Dans le coeur, il y a de petites portes, comme dans votre maison. Si je viens chez vous vous rendre visite, et que vous m’accueillez en disant: «Frère Branham, je vous donne cette maison et tout ce qu’il y a à l’intérieur,» mais qu’après vous me prenez par la main et vous dites: «Voyez-vous cette prote-ci? Je ne voudrais pas que vous entriez par là. Et voyez-vous cet endroit-ci? Eh bien, n’y entrez pas. Et cet endroit-ci, n’y entrez pas», je serai alors partiellement accueilli. Et c’est comme ça que les gens accueillent généralement le Seigneur Jésus, un accueil partiel. Mais Il veut entrer et être le Bienvenu.
| E-11 But you might say to me, "Brother Branham, I've already did that. When Jesus knocked at my heart, I let Him in." Well that's good. But when He come into your heart, did you welcome Him to your entire being?
There's many people that will welcome Jesus in as Saviour; but can He be your Lord? "Lord" is "ownership." The Lord has complete control. You would plentily welcome Him to keep you out of hell and torment. You would welcome Him as your Saviour, but are you willing to welcome Him as your Lord to take over full control?
In the heart there is little doors, like in your house. If I come to your house to visit you, and you welcome me in, and said, "Brother Branham, I give to you this house and all that's within it," but then you take me by the hand, and you say, "You see this door? I don't want you going in there. And you see this place? Now, don't go in there. And this place, don't go in there," then I'm just partially welcome. And that's the way people usually receive the Lord Jesus, as partially welcome. But He wants to come in and be welcome.

E-12 Maintenant, examinons quelques-unes de ces portes. L’une d’elles, c’est la petite porte du moi. Vous savez, c’est une petite porte importante. Vous direz: «Oh! oui, Jésus, je Te recevrai comme mon Sauveur; mais alors, ne Te mêle pas de mes affaires.» C’est là l’attitude de beaucoup de chrétiens, des soi-disant. «Eh bien, j’aimerais vivre ma propre vie. Mais je ne veux pas que Tu... Je veux que Tu me préserves de l’enfer. Mais ne Te mêle pas de mes affaires.» Eh bien alors, Jésus ne peut pas avoir la prééminence. Jésus ne peut pas être votre Seigneur, parce que vous voulez être votre propre chef. Mais Lui veut diriger à votre place. Mais tant que vous gardez la porte fermée, quand bien même vous L’avez accepté comme votre Sauveur personnel, cependant vous ne Lui avez pas pleinement donné la prééminence dans votre–votre vie. Et, oh! églises, n’est-ce pas là une vérité partout dans le monde? Ils ne veulent pas Lui reconnaître la souveraineté.
| E-12 Now, let's examine some of these doors. One of them is a little door of self. You know, that's an important little door. You say, "Oh, yes, Jesus, I will receive You as my Saviour; but now, don't meddle in my business." That's the attitude of lots of Christians, so-called. "Now, I want to live my own life. But I don't want You... I want You to keep me from hell. But don't meddle in my affairs." Well then, Jesus can't have the preeminences. Jesus can't be your Lord, because you want to be your own ruler. And He wants to rule in your place. But as long as you keep the door shut, though you have accepted Him as your personal Saviour, yet you haven't fully give Him preeminence in you--your life. And oh, churches, isn't that a truth in all the world. They won't let Him have Lordship.

E-13 Et puis, il y a une autre petite porte. Elle est appelée la porte de l’égoïsme. Oh! Combien nous aimons garder cette petite porte fermée au cadenas! «J’y irai s’il y a là quelque chose pour moi ou si c’est pour moi, et pour mon église, ou pour moi et pour ma dénomination. Je serai disposé à aller si j’en tire quelque chose.» C’est de l’égoïsme. Vous devez ouvrir cette porte et laisser Jésus entrer. Oh! C’est une porte importante.
Eh bien, je n’ai pas l’intention d’être discourtois, mais je veux seulement être sincère. Et puis, il y a une petite porte qui se trouve dans le coeur tant des hommes que des femmes; c’est la petite porte de l’orgueil. Et avec ça, vous direz: «Entrez, Seigneur. Je vais adhérer à votre église, et je vais–je vais payer mes dîmes. Je vais aider la veuve à avoir du charbon, je vais acheter de la nourriture ou des habits pour les orphelins, mais je ne veux simplement pas abandonner mon orgueil. Je pense que je suis un peu mieux qu’Untel.» Jésus ne peut donc pas être votre Chef.
| E-13 And then there's another little door. It's called the door to selfishness. Oh, how we like to guard that little door with a padlock. "I'll go down if there's anything in it for me, or if it's for me and my church, or for me and my denomination. I'll be willing to go if I get anything out of it." That's selfish. You ought to open that door and let Jesus come in. Oh, it's an important door.
Now, I don't mean to be rude, but I only mean to be honest. And then there's a little door that's found in the heart of both men and women; it's a little door of pride. And in that you'll say, "Come in, Lord. I'll join your church, and I'll--I'll pay my tithings. I'll help by the widow some coal, buy the orphan some food or some clothes. But I just don't won't to surrender my pride. I think I'm just a little bit better than so-and-so." Jesus can't be Ruler then of your being.

E-14 «Je fréquenterais telle église. C’est une petite mission. J’entends dire qu’ils ont un réveil. Mais je ne pourrais pas laisser mes compagnons savoir que je me mêle à ce groupe de gens. Des fois, des démons même ont dit qu’ils étaient des saints qui se roulaient par terre sous l’effet de l’Esprit.» Oh! comme cela blesse, votre orgueil! «Je ne pourrais simplement pas ouvrir cette porte-là, Seigneur.» Alors, Il ne peut pas être Chef et Seigneur si vous gardez votre porte fermée.
Et parfois, j’ai été coupable d’avoir dit aux dames qu’en été, elles ne s’habillent pas bien, en portant leurs petits habits immoraux. Je sais que vous dites que c’est ce qu’on–on vend. Oui, et on vend aussi de l’arsenic.
Oh! Vous voulez ressembler aux voisins. Vous voulez agir comme votre voisin. Mais Dieu veut que vous agissiez comme Son enfant et que vous vous débarrassiez de cet orgueil. La porte de l’orgueil, quelle chose horrible est-ce, de savoir que vous professez être chrétien et puis, vous gardez la porte fermée devant Lui!
| E-14 "I would go down to that certain church. It's a little mission. I hear they're having a revival. But I couldn't let my society know that I mixed up with that group of people. Sometimes the devils even said they were holy-rollers." Oh, how that hurts your pride. "I just couldn't open that door, Lord." Then He can't be Ruler and Lord if you keep your door closed.
And sometime I've been guilty of having said to the ladies, that in the summertime they don't dress nice, with their little, immoral-looking clothes on. I know you say they--they sell them. Yes, and they sell arsenic too.
Oh, you want to look like the Joneses. You want to act like your neighbor. But God wants you to act like His child and get away from that pride. The pride door, what a horrible thing it is, to know that you profess to be a Christian and then keeping the door closed on Him.

E-15 Une petite histoire, peut-être que je vous l’ai déjà racontée. Mais au début de l’esclavagisme dans le Sud, il y avait... On allait acheter ces gens et on en faisait des esclaves. Et ces derniers étaient tristes, parce qu’ils étaient loin de chez eux, et ils ne pourraient plus bien se sentir. Ils ne rentreraient plus jamais chez eux. Et on les fouettait et frappait au point qu’ils étaient tout abattus. Un jour, un négociant d’esclaves est venu, et il achetait des esclaves dans une plantation.
| E-15 A little story, I perhaps have told you. But in the early days of the slaves in the South there was... They'd go by and buy those people and make slaves out of them. And they were sad, because they're away from their home, and they just simply couldn't feel good no more. They'd never go back home. And they were whipped around and beat around, till the people were all down in spirit. And one day a slave buyer came by, and he was buying some slaves at a plantation.

Il a dit: «Je me suis moi-même posé cette question pendant longtemps. Mais un jour, j’ai découvert que là, dans son pays d’origine, son père est le roi d’une tribu. Et bien qu’étranger, loin de chez lui, il reconnaît toujours qu’il est le fils d’un roi, et il se conduit comme tel.
| E-16 Oh, he noticed one of those men, a young fellow standing straight, his chin up, and they never had to whip him. He was right on the job. So the slave buyer said, "Let me have the--that slave. I'll give you your price for him."
And the owner said, "But he's not for sale."
He said, "What makes him so much different from the other slaves? Is he a boss?"
Said, "No, he's just a slave."
Said, "Do you feed him different from the other slaves?"
Said, "No, he eats in the galley with the rest of the slaves."
Said, "Then maybe perhaps that he's treated a little better."
"No, he's just treated like the rest of the slaves."
Said, "What makes him so much different than then from the other slaves?"
He said, "I wondered for a long time myself. But I found out one day, that over in the homelands his father is a king of the tribe. And yet, him being an alien away from home, he still knows that he's a king's son, and he conducts himself like one."

E-17 Oh! Nous les chrétiens, bien qu’étrangers dans ce monde, nous sommes les sujets du Seigneur Jésus, en route vers le Ciel; nous devrions nous conduire comme des fils et des filles de Dieu. L’orgueil nous empêche de faire cela. Nous redoutons que quelqu’un dise quelque chose contre nous. Quand l’Esprit bénit, beaucoup ont honte de dire amen. Il y en a beaucoup qui, à leur bureau, le Seigneur Jésus ayant pu les guérir des maladies, ont peur de témoigner pour la gloire de Dieu par orgueil. Beaucoup ont peur de se lever pour dire: «J’ai reçu Christ comme mon Sauveur personnel et j’ai été rempli du Saint-Esprit.» Ils ont honte. Oh! J’aime cet ancien petit cantique que nous chantions il y a des années, là dans cette région montagneuse: «Je prendrai le chemin avec les quelques méprisés qui suivent le Seigneur. J’ai commencé avec Jésus et j’irai jusqu’au bout, sans avoir honte de l’Evangile.» Paul a dit: «C’est la puissance de Dieu.» L’orgueil. Oh! quelle grande chose est-ce!
| E-17 Oh, we Christians, though alienated from the world, and we are heaven-bound subjects of the Lord Jesus, we should conduct ourselves as sons and daughters of God.
Pride keeps us from doing it. We're afraid somebody will say something against us. When the spirit blesses, many are ashamed to say "Amen." There is many who in their office work, the Lord Jesus could have healed them of diseases, and they're afraid to testify to the glory of God because of pride. Many are afraid to stand and say, "I have received Christ as my personal Saviour and been filled with the Holy Spirit.": ashamed.
Oh, I love that little old song we used to sing years ago, down in the ridge country. "I'll take the way with the Lord's despised few. I've started in with Jesus and I'm going through, not ashamed of the Gospel. Paul said, "It's the power of God."
Pride, oh, what a great thing that is.

E-18 Puis, il y a une autre petite porte dans votre coeur. Oh! Il y en a beaucoup. Mais je voudrais simplement aborder les quelques principales portes. Une autre petite porte dans le coeur, quand Jésus entre, c’est la porte de la foi. Oh! Beaucoup diront: «Je vais L’accepter comme mon Sauveur personnel, mais je ne crois pas que toute la Parole est inspirée.» Alors, vous gardez votre porte fermée. Il ne peut pas du tout vous bénir.
Et vous direz: «Oh! Je crois qu’Il me sauve du péché. Mais je ne peux simplement pas croire que les jours des miracles sont là aujourd’hui comme autrefois.» Alors, vous gardez votre porte fermée. Il ne peut rien faire pour vous.
Oh! Ce soir, dans ce service de guérison, si seulement nous pouvons ouvrir cette porte et dire: «Seigneur Dieu, Jéhovah, je crois que chaque Parole que Tu as prononcée est la Vérité. Et Elle est écrite, scellée du Sang du Seigneur Jésus, une déclaration et une promesse pour moi. Et c’est ma propriété, et je possède cela.» Oh! quelle réunion il y aurait ici ce soir! «C’est pour moi. Jésus est mort afin que j’aie cette foi.»
«Celui qui s’approche de Dieu doit croire que Dieu existe, et qu’Il est le rémunérateur de ceux qui Le cherchent de tout leur coeur.»
| E-18 Then there's another little door in your heart. Oh, there's many of them. But I just want to hit some of the main ones. Another little door in the heart when Jesus comes in, is the door of faith. Oh, many will say, "I'll accept Him as my personal Saviour, but I don't believe all the Word's inspired." Then you're keeping your door closed. He can't bless you at all.
And you say, "Oh, I believe that He saves me from sin. But I just can't believe that the days of miracles are the same today as they were then." Then you're keeping your door closed. He can't do a thing for you.
Oh, tonight in this healing service, if we could only open that door and say, "Lord God, Jehovah, I believe every Word that You said is the truth. And it is a written, sealed by the Blood of the Lord Jesus, a declaration and a promise to me. And it's my property, and I possess it." Oh, what a meeting there would be here tonight. "It is mine. Jesus died that I might have this faith."
"He that cometh unto God must believe that He is, and a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him."

E-19 Oh! Ouvrez cette porte de la foi et laissez le Roi de gloire y entrer, alors vous serez en mesure de voir de grandes choses et de croire de tout votre coeur que Jésus-Christ est le même hier, aujourd’hui et éternellement. Et mon grand-père était chasseur. Il chassait les ratons laveurs. Et il prenait ces ratons laveurs et en extrayait de la graisse. Et quand certains enfants avaient mal aux yeux... En général, c’est pendant qu’on dort qu’on attrape le mal des yeux.
| E-19 Oh, to open that door of faith and let the King of glory come into it, then you will be able to see the great things and believe with all your heart that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. His manifestation of His love and Spirit will be poured out upon you.
I wish to hit another door just for a moment, and that is the door of your eyes. The Bible said that we ought to buy eye salve from the Lord."
You know, I'm a southerner, and I... Down in the country where we live, way back in the mountain country of Kentucky, the children used to get sore eyes. And my grandpa used to hunt. And he used to hunt coons. And he would take that raccoon and render out the grease. And when some of the children got sore eyes... You usually get sore eyes when you're sleeping.

E-20 C’est alors que les chrétiens aussi attrapent le mal des yeux, quand ils s’endorment dans les choses du monde, ils ont mal aux yeux. Vous regardez trop la télévision, peut-être. De toute façon, cela fera mal aux yeux.
Et nous prenions cette graisse de raton laveur, et nous frottions, massions les yeux avec cela jusqu’à ce qu’ils s’ouvrent.
Oh! Mais, dans le spirituel, Dieu a l’Huile sainte, le Saint-Esprit, et Il masse le coeur avec la puissance de Sa résurrection jusqu’à ce que les yeux spirituels s’ouvrent et voient la gloire du Seigneur. Oh! combien nous avons besoin d’un massage des yeux, afin que les yeux de notre entendement puissent s’ouvrir!
| E-20 That's when Christians get sore eyes too. When they're asleep in the things of the world, their eyes get sore. You look at too much television, maybe. Anyhow, it'll make sore eyes.
And we used to take this coon grease, and rub it, massage it into their eyes until their eyes come open.
Oh, but in the spiritual realm, God has some holy Oil, the Holy Spirit, and It massages the heart with the power of His resurrection, until the spiritual eyes can fly open and see the glory of the Lord. Oh, how we need a eye massaging, that our eyes of our understanding might be open.

E-21 Puis, autre chose, quand vos yeux s’ouvrent, vous voyez. Vous pouvez entendre. Mais que vos yeux s’ouvrent, vous voyez. Et alors, quand nos yeux sont ouverts, nous pouvons voir la bonté du Seigneur. Bien souvent, Dieu a marché avec vous. Il vous a préservé d’un accident. Il vous a fait sortir de l’hôpital, et vous continuez comme si vous étiez un cochon sous un pommier. C’est une expression du Sud.
Vous savez, un vieux cochon peut être sous un pommier. Et les pommes vont lui tomber sur la tête toute la journée. Et il va simplement s’en emparer et les manger sans jamais lever les yeux là d’où elles viennent.
C’est pareil avec beaucoup de chrétiens. Les bénédictions du Seigneur tombent tout autour d’eux, et ils ne s’agenouillent jamais pour reconnaître que cela vient de Dieu. Que c’est pitié!
| E-21 Then another thing, when your eyes come open you can see. You might hear. But your eyes come open, you can see. And then when our eyes is opened up, we can see the goodness of the Lord. There's many times that God has walked with you. He kept you from the wreck. He brought you from the hospital, and you go on as if you was like a hog under a apple tree. That's a southern expression.
You know, an old hog can get under the apple tree. And the apples will beat him on the head all day long. And he will just grab them and eat and never look up to where their coming from.
That's the way many Christians do. The blessings of the Lord falling all around them, and they never get on their knees to recognize that it comes from God. What a pity it is.

E-22 Nos yeux ont besoin de s’ouvrir. Et une autre raison pour laquelle nos yeux doivent être ouverts, c’est que quand nous entrons dans la maison du Seigneur et que nous voyons Son Esprit commencer à se mouvoir et à accomplir des choses juste comme Il a dit que ça se ferait, nous restons assis, les yeux fermés. Et c’est peut-être un diseur de bonne aventure.» Mais si vos yeux étaient ouverts, Jésus entrerait et dirait: «C’est Moi, dans Ma Parole.» Mais il vous faut avoir les yeux ouverts et, alors, vous verrez Sa bonté et vous pourrez apprécier tout ce qu’Il fait pour vous.
Il y a quelque temps, là loin, dans les contrées du Sud, il y avait un ministre de l’Evangile. Et il avait un homme qui travaillait pour lui, un homme de couleur. Et son nom... on l’appelait Gabe. Son vrai nom était Gabriel. Mais on l’appelait Gabe, comme diminutif. Et Gabe était un bon vieil homme, mais il n’arrivait simplement pas à se mettre en ordre avec le Seigneur. Peu importe ce qu’on faisait, il restait bien hors de la ligne. Il aimait jouer aux dés et aux cartes, prendre un peu de whisky, et il n’arrivait simplement pas à rester sur la ligne. Et Gabe aimait vraiment chasser, mais il n’arrivait à rien toucher.
| E-22 Our eyes need to be open. And another reason our eyes should be open; that is, when we come in to the house of the Lord and we see His Spirit beginning to move and to perform things just the way He said it would be done, and we set with our eyes closed. Now, I know that is true. They set with their eyes closed and say, "Well, I don't know. It could be mental telepathy. And it could be a fortuneteller."
But if your eyes were open, Jesus would come in and say, "It's Me in My Word." But you must have your eyes open and then you would see His goodness and could appreciate all that He does for you.
Sometime ago, way down in the southlands, there was a minister of the Gospel. And he had a man that worked for him, a colored man. And his name... They called him Gabe. His right name was Gabriel. But they called him Gabe, for short. And Gabe was a good old fellow, but he just couldn't get lined up with the Lord. No matter what we would do, he would just out of line. He liked to play dice and cards, and drink a little whiskey, and he just couldn't stay lined up. And Gabe liked to hunt real well, but he couldn't hit nothing.

E-23 Et le pasteur de cette église-là aimait aussi chasser. Alors, un jour, ils étaient à la chasse, ils ont tiré tellement de gibiers qu’ils avaient des lapins, des oiseaux suspendus tout autour d’eux, et c’était tard le soir. Et ils remontaient un petit sentier familier. Personne n’avait rien dit pendant quelques minutes. Et le vieux Gabe, surchargé de gibier, marchait à petits pas chancelants le long du sentier. Et un instant après, il a tapoté le ministre sur l’épaule. Ce dernier s’est retourné et, à sa surprise, les larmes coulaient sur les joues du vieux Gabe. Et il a dit: «Pasteur, savez-vous ce que je vais faire?»
Il a dit: «Non, Gabe, qu’allez-vous faire?»
Il a dit: «Je viendrai droit dans votre église le dimanche matin. Je vais me trouver une position, une place, juste là, au banc des pénitents. Et je vais entrer et communier dans l’église. Je vais rester fidèle à Dieu jusqu’à ma mort.»
| E-23 And the pastor of this certain church, he liked to hunt also. So one day when they had been out hunting and they had shot so much game till the rabbits and the birds were hanging all over them, and it was late in the evening. And they were coming up along a little familiar path. No one had said nothing for a few minutes. And old Gabe just loaded down with game, toddling along the path, after while he tapped the minister on the shoulder. And he turned around, and to his surprise, tears were running down old Gabe's cheeks. And he said, "Parson, you know what I's going to do?"
He said, "No, Gabe, what are you going to do?"
He said, "I's coming right down to your church Sunday morning. I's going to find my position, place, right down at the mourner's bench. And I's going to come in and fellowship in the church. And I'm going to live true to God till I die."

E-24 Et le pasteur, plutôt bouleversé par cette décision rapide de Gabe, après des années passées à essayer de persuader le vieil homme à devenir chrétien, il a dit: «Gabe, tu ne sais pas combien j’apprécie cela. Combien je suis heureux de t’entendre prononcer ces paroles au sujet de notre Seigneur, et pour votre décision. Mais il y a une chose qui me préoccupe, Gabe. Après toutes mes prédications, je vous ai ramassé dans la rue et je vous ai amené chez vous, auprès de votre femme, alors que vous étiez ivre, pour éviter que vous soyez arrêté, et tout ce que j’ai fait; et pourtant, je n’ai pas pu vous amener à adhérer à l’église et à être sauvé. Qu’est-ce qui est à la base de ce changement brusque, Gabe?»
Il a dit: «Patron, vous savez que je suis un piètre tireur. Je n’arrive pas à atteindre un lapin.» Et il a dit: «Regardez ça, les lapins et les gibiers qu’Il m’a donnés. Certainement qu’Il doit m’aimer, sinon Il ne me les aurait pas donnés.»
Oh! C’est simple. Mais si seulement vous saviez que les bénédictions que vous possédez proviennent de la main de Dieu: les habits que vous portez, la nourriture que vous mangez!
Si vous faites une fois l’oeuvre missionnaire dans ces champs de travail et que vous voyiez ces petits bébés avec leurs petits ventres tout bedonnants, couchés dans la rue, mourant de faim (Vous jetez dans la poubelle assez de nourriture qui pouvait les nourrir), vous vous agenouilleriez et diriez: «Ô Dieu, j’ai été si cruel», vous rendant compte de la bonté de Dieu.
Combien de gens sont en enfer ce soir, ceux qui étaient assis sur ces sièges où vous êtes assis, donneraient n’importe quoi s’ils pouvaient reprendre leurs sièges ce soir et avoir l’opportunité de venir?
| E-24 And the pastor, rather upset that the quick decision of Gabe, after for years trying to persuade the old fellow to become a Christian, he said, "Gabe, you don't know how I appreciate that. How happy I am to have you to say those words about our Lord, and for your decision. But there's one thing that's a bothering me, Gabe. After all my preaching, and I picked you up on the street and took you to your wife at home when you were drunk to keep you from being arrested, and all the things that I have done, and still I couldn't get you to come and join the church and be saved. What made the sudden change, Gabe?"
He said, "Boss, you know I's a poor shot. I couldn't hit one rabbit." And he said, "Looky here at the rabbits and game that He's give me. Surely He must love me or He wouldn't give them to me."
Oh, it's simple. But if you only knowed the blessings that you possess comes from the hand of God: the clothes that you wear, the food that you eat.
If you'd once mission those fields and see those little babies with their little bellies all swelled up, laying on the street, dying with hunger, and you rake off enough in the garbage can to feed them, you'd get on your knees and say, "Oh, God, I've been so cruel." Realize the goodness of God.
How many people, that would be in hell tonight, that's set in these seats where you're setting, that would give anything if they could take their seat back again tonight and have the opportunity to come.

E-25 La bonté de Dieu, nous la considérons simplement comme acquise. Il est si bon en venant vers nous en ces derniers jours où les dénominations et les grands mouvements sont contre Dieu, et toutes sortes de dispositifs mécaniques, et tout pour le loisir, pour que ça prenne la place de l’église. Toutes sortes de divertissements, et pourtant, ils tournent le dos à Christ. Et cependant, Il vient vers nous dans Sa bonté pour se révéler à nous comme étant Le même hier, aujourd’hui et éternellement. C’est au-delà de tout. Comme ces bien-aimés ont chanté il y a quelques instants, ça va au-delà de la plus haute étoile et ça atteint le plus bas enfer, connaître Sa bonté. Il frappe, cherchant à entrer. Pensez-y juste un instant alors que nous inclinons la tête pour la prière.
| E-25 The goodness of God, we just take it for granted. He's so good to come to us in this last days when denominations, and great moves against God, and all kinds of mechanical devicities, and everything of entertainment to take the place of the church. All kinds of entertainment, and yet they turn their back on Christ. And yet He comes to us in His goodness to reveal Himself to us as the same yesterday, today, and forever.
It's beyond anything. As those dear people sung awhile ago, it goes beyond the highest star and reaches to the lowest hell to know His goodness, standing knocking, trying to get in. Think of it just a moment as we bow our heads for prayer.

E-26 Etes-vous coupables d’avoir mangé une bonne nourriture, d’avoir joui d’une bonne vue, d’avoir porté de bons vêtements, d’avoir conduit une belle voiture, de vivre dans un grand pays, de fréquenter une–une bonne école, et toutes ces bénédictions dont nous nous réjouissons, sans jamais lever les yeux pour voir d’où elles viennent? En êtes-vous coupables?
Ne voulez-vous pas, ce soir, pendant qu’Il frappe à votre porte, lever juste la main droite pour dire: «Seigneur, j’ouvre maintenant la porte? Entre, ô Roi de gloire, sauve-moi et ouvre les portes de mon coeur. J’ouvre la porte de ma foi, la porte de mon orgueil, la porte de mon indifférence, la porte de mon égoïsme. Toutes les portes de mon coeur, je Te les ouvre largement, ô Seigneur Jésus, Toi qui es présent maintenant.» Voulez-vous le faire juste en levant la main pendant que tout le monde prie? Que Dieu vous bénisse, partout dans l’église. Il y a beaucoup de mains. Je ne peux pas les compter toutes. Mais Dieu voit chacune.
| E-26 Are you guilty of eating good food, enjoying good sight, wearing good clothes, driving a good car, living in a great nation, going to a--a good school, and all the blessings that we are enjoying, and yet you've never looked up to see where they come from? Are you guilty?
Won't you tonight, while He's knocking at your door, do just enough to reach up with your right hand, and say, "Lord, I now un--open the door. Come in, O King of glory, and save me and open up the doors of my heart. I do my door of faith, my door of pride, my door of indifference, my door of selfishness. All the doors of my heart I swing open to You, oh, Lord Jesus, Who is standing present now." Will you do it by just raising up your hand while everybody's praying? God bless you, all over the church. There's many hands. I can't count them all. But God sees every one.

Ô Seigneur, je me suis assis dans les réunions. J’ai entendu frère Branham et beaucoup de prédicateurs dire que Tu es le même hier, aujourd’hui et éternellement. Et je me suis efforcé de croire cela. Et j’ai vraiment vu Ta puissance venir et dévoiler les secrets du coeur. Je T’ai vu parler par Ton serviteur à des gens totalement inconnus, et il savait qui ils étaient, les péchés qu’ils avaient commis, la maladie qui était dans leur corps. Et je T’ai vu les guérir de toute cécité, de la maladie, de la folie, et les libérer. Et d’une façon ou d’une autre, j’ai gardé la petite porte de ma propre foi fermée. Ô Dieu, sois miséricordieux envers moi ce soir.» Et dites: «Et ouvre la porte de ma foi.»Y aurait-il des gens qui aimeraient lever la main vers Dieu? «Ouvre ma porte, Seigneur.» Que Dieu vous bénisse. C’est bien. Que Dieu vous bénisse. «Ouvre la porte de ma foi, Seigneur. Je Te l’ouvre. Entre. Sois le Seigneur. Sois le Conducteur. Prends-moi tel que je suis. Je ne suis pas bon.»
Vous feriez tout aussi mieux de confesser cela. «Qu’est-ce que l’homme, pour que Tu Te souviennes de lui?» Je n’ai pas l’intention d’être discourtois. Je vous aime. Et Dieu vous aime. Mais sans Dieu, vous n’êtes pas de toute façon bon. Vous êtes juste six pieds [1,82 m] de poussière, là où vous allez, et c’est ça, avec une âme vers l’enfer. Mais si vous êtes né de nouveau, vous êtes un enfant de Dieu. Ouvrez votre porte et laissez-Le être le Seigneur de votre être.
| E-27 What about the balcony up there? You know what, geographically speaking, you're just a little closer to heaven than they are down here. That's right. Put up your hands up, and say, "God, I want to recognize tonight that Jesus, God's Son, gives me everything that I eat, all of my clothes and my... Whatever He gives me, Lord, I thank You. And I want to open my heart, my door of faith; I want You to come in and take possession. And I want you to open my eyes. Oh, Lord, I have set in the meetings. I've heard Brother Branham and many of the ministers talk about You being the same yesterday, today, and forever. And I've tried hard to believe that. And I've really seen Your power come and unfold the secrets of the heart. I've seen You speak through Your servant to absolutely strange people and would know who they were, the sins that they were doing, the sickness that was in their bodies. And I've seen You heal them from all the way blindness, sickness, insanity, and have set them free. And somehow I've kept my own little door of faith closed. God, be merciful to me tonight," say, "and open my door of faith." Would them people raise their hands to God? "Open up my door, Lord." God bless you. That's right. God bless you. "Open my door of faith, Lord. I open it to You. Come in. Be Lord. Be Ruler. Take me as I am. I'm no good."
You might as well confess it. "What is man that Thou art mindful of him?" I don't mean this rude. I love you. And God loves you. But without God you're no good anyhow. You're just six foot of dust where you're going, and that's it, in a soul to hell. But if you're borned again, you're a child of God. Open your door and let Him have lordship over your being.

And your father's name is Jonas." He told Philip where Nathanael found him, or Nathanael where Philip found him. And He also knowed the secret of the Samaritan woman's heart. That one who touched His garment, He turned and looked. He perceived the thoughts of the people that said He was Beelzebub. He's still the same tonight. He said, "These things that I do shall you also."

Pierre a dit: «Repentez-vous, et que chacun de vous soit baptisé au Nom de Jésus-Christ, pour le pardon de vos péchés; et vous recevrez le don du Saint-Esprit. No matter how much you cried, how much you begged, until your faith looked there and accepted Him as your personal Saviour, wouldn't do you no good to pray or cry.
Peter said, "Repent, every one of you, and be baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you and to your children (and them that's at Chicago), and as many as far off, just as many as the Lord our God shall call." And if you raised your hand, He's still calling. Believe Him now.

Cela sera affecté, au mieux de ma connaissance, au Royaume du Seigneur. C’est l’unique moyen de subsistance pour moi et ma famille, c’est par ce que vous me donnez, dans ce but. Tout le surplus est directement affecté aux missions. | E-30 I wonder, before we start the meeting that I could say this: Go to some good church now, and be baptized, and call on the Name of the Lord, and He will give you the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Now, do that for me, won't you. No matter what church you affiliate with, as long as you receive the Holy Spirit, that settles it. You're a son and daughter of God.
And I forgot something that the Lord reminded me of. They told me that they'd taken a love offering for me awhile ago. Wasn't necessary... I've never took an offering in my life. The brothers usually come around and give me something to live on. Thank you for it.
I didn't mean to be rude. I'm sorry. You forgive me for forgetting to say that vital thing that you did. I appreciate it. The Lord bless you. It'll go, to the best of my knowledge, to the Kingdom of the Lord. It's the only way I have of living and feeding my family, is by what you give to me for that purpose. Anything over that goes straight into the missions. So when I answer that day, I want Him so say, "It was well done, My good and faithful servant." That's the words I'm longing to hear, "Well done."

Il était Béelzébul pour les gens de ce jour-là, qui ne croyaient pas en Lui. «Et s’ils ont taxé le Maître de la maison de Béelzébul, de quels noms taxeront-ils ceux de la maison?»
Mais malgré tout, l’Evangile va directement de l’avant. Et il n’y a aucun moyen d’arrêter Cela. C’est juste comme une maison en feu lors d’un vent fort. Cela ira de l’avant. Personne ne va arrêter l’Evangile. Il s’enracinera dans les coeurs, peu importe combien ils persécutent amèrement. Quelqu’un... de ces pierres Dieu est capable de susciter des enfants à Abraham.
| E-31 Now, is their any people here that has never been in one of our meetings before? Would you just raise your hands, this is your first time? Oh, that's very fine. The Lord bless you richly. About two hundred or three hundred people, I guess, that's never been in the meetings.
Now, I want to take just this moment of time, which is early yet, to explain to you what I think about Divine healing. Now, you know, on these kind of a ministry, you have all kinds of names. And some of them are not very pleasant. But, however, it doesn't change the bit with God.
He was Beelzebub to the people that day, that didn't believe Him. "And if they called the Master of the house Beelzebub, how much more will they call them of the household?"
But just the same, the Gospel moves right on. And there's no way of stopping it. It's just like a house on fire in a high wind. It's going to move on. No one's going to stop the Gospel. It'll take its roots in the hearts, no matter how bad they persecute. Someone... God is able of these stones to rise children to Abraham.

E-32 Et maintenant, en ce jour, je sais que c’est une–une très bonne chose de faire attention à ce que vous entendez. En effet, quant à moi, je crois que Dieu peut faire beaucoup de choses qu’Il n’a pas écrites dans Sa Parole. Je sais qu’Il est Dieu. Il fait tout ce qu’Il veut. Mais, quant à moi, j’aimerais que cela vienne de la Parole, alors je suis convaincu.
Dans l’Ancien Testament, ils avaient un moyen de vérifier si un prophète était véridique ou pas. C’était l’Urim et le Thummim. Et vous les lecteurs de la Bible, vous savez ce que c’était. C’était une Lumière surnaturelle qui se formait sur le pectoral d’Aaron, reflétant diverses couleurs. Et si celui qui avait fait un songe ou un prophète parlait, peu importe combien cela semblait vrai, si l’Urim et le Thummim ne reflétaient pas cette Lumière surnaturelle, ce n’était pas vrai.
Et avec ce sacerdoce-là, l’Urim et le Thummim ont été ôtés. Mais avec ce sacerdoce-ci du Seigneur, nous avons un autre Urim et Thummim. C’est Sa Parole. Si cela n’a pas de reflet sur la Parole, je serai un peu sceptique là-dessus.
| E-32 And now, in this day I know that it's a--a very fine thing that you would be careful what you hear. Because, to me, I believe that God can do many things that He hasn't written in His word. I know that He's God. He does anything He wishes to. But, to me, I like for it to come out of the Word, then I'm sure.
In the Old Testament they had a way of testing whether a prophet was true or not. It was on the Urim-Thummim. And you Bible readers know what that was. It was a supernatural Light that went over the breastplate of Aaron, that reflected different colors. And if the dreamer or the prophet spoke, and no matter how real it sound, if the Urim and the Thummim did not reflect that supernatural, it wasn't so.
And in that priesthood the Urim-Thummim was taken away. But in this priesthood of the Lord we got another Urim-Thummim. That's His Word. If it doesn't reflect on the Word, I'm just a little bit skeptic of it.

E-33 «Car celui qui retranchera, ou ajoutera à Ce qui est écrit dans ce Livre...» Vous connaissez la menace de l’Ange dans Apocalypse. Je ne veux pas plus que ce qui est là Dedans, et je ne veux rien de moins que ce qu’il y a là Dedans. Je veux juste ce qu’Il a promis.
Et je ne suis pas venu vers vous pour vous séduire. Je suis venu comme votre frère. Et, assurément, après toutes ces années que j’ai passées ici, Dieu vous a permis de voir d’une façon ou d’une autre que je–je vous aime et que je suis votre frère.
Et moi-même, je crois ce soir que si l’Enlèvement avait lieu et que les gens y allaient suivant leur mérite, je serais peut-être le dernier à y aller. Je ne dis pas cela pour faire l’humble. Je dis cela parce que je suis né hors saison pour vous gens de ce glorieux Message.
Il y a des hommes et des femmes assis ici qui sont grisonnants et qui prêchaient l’Evangile avant ma naissance. Certainement, ils sont dignes. Ils étaient là-bas. Vous avez simplement préparé le terrain pour ceci. Et vous l’avez impatiemment attendu. Et la chose est là, croyons donc cela.
| E-33 "For whosoever shall take away, or add to anything that's written in this book..." you know the threat of the Angel in Revelation. I don't want any more than what's in It, and I don't won't anything less than what's in it. I want just what He promised.
And I would not come to you to deceive you. I would come as your brother. And surely, all these years that I've been here, God has let you see some way that I--I love you and I'm your brother.
And as myself, I believe tonight if the rapture would come, and they went according to your worthiness, I would perhaps be the last one to go. I don't say that to be humble. I say that because I was borned out of season to you people of this great message.
There's men and women setting here, who're gray-headed, that was preaching the Gospel before I was borned. Certainly, they're worthy. They was back there. You only paved the way for this. And you've looked forward to it. And it's here, so let's believe it.

Alors, tout ce qu’Il peut faire, c’est se manifester d’une certaine façon par la prédication de la Parole. Eh bien, avez-vous constaté que frère Osborn est un prédicateur? Il a pu présenter la Parole là de telle façon que les gens L’ont acceptée. Je ne suis pas capable de le faire. Mais le Seigneur m’a donné un autre moyen de L’apporter.
C’est juste comme l’oeil ou la bouche. Vous ne vous serviriez pas tellement de votre oeil si vous n’aviez pas la bouche. Que vous prêchiez ou que vous voyiez, tous deux sont des dons importants pour le corps, si le corps se maintient.
| E-34 Now, when the Lord Jesus was here... I'm going to take my campaign theme for the newcomers, and if you all that's been in the meeting before just bear with me a minute.
Divine healing is nothing that any man can do for you. It's something that someone has already done for you. Jesus Christ died for you at Calvary. "And He was wounded for your transgressions, and with His stripes you were healed." That's the Word. Then the only thing He could do would be manifest Himself in some way by preaching the Word.
Now, did you notice, Brother Osborn is a preacher? He could place the Word out there in such a way till the people accepted It. I'm not able to do that. But the Lord has given me another way to bring it.
Just like the eye or the mouth. You wouldn't have much use for your eye if you didn't have any mouth. Whether you preach or whether you see, they're both important gifts of the body, if the body continues.

E-35 Eh bien, quand Jésus s’est manifesté aux Juifs... Eh bien, je vous demande à quel moment dans la Bible... Jésus se manifeste aux Juifs. Si ce n’est pas là la façon dont Il s’y était pris!
Nathanaël, ou plutôt Philippe a été converti par le Seigneur Jésus. Il L’avait vu accomplir de grands signes et des miracles. Il est allé trouver un ami à plusieurs kilomètres, c’est ce qui nous est rapporté, de l’autre côté de la montagne. Son nom était Nathanaël. C’était un membre d’église vraiment bon et un homme honnête. Et Nathanaël était sous un arbre, en train de prier, quand Philippe est venu. Et il a dit: «Viens, et vois Qui nous avons trouvé: Jésus de Nazareth, le Fils de Joseph.»
Il a dit: «Eh bien, peut-il venir de Nazareth quelque chose de bon, de cette bande là-bas?» C’est pire que les saints qui se roulent par terre sous l’effet de l’Esprit, je suppose. «Peut-il venir de là quelque chose de bon?»
| E-35 Now, when Jesus manifested Himself to the Jews... Now, I ask you anytime in the Bible... Jesus manifest Himself to the Jews. If this isn't the way He did it?
Nathanael, or, Philip was converted by the Lord Jesus. He'd seen Him doing great signs and wonders. He went to find a friend many miles, were told, around a mountain. His name was Nathanael. He was a real good church member and an honest man. And Nathanael was under a tree, praying, when Philip come up. An He said, "Come, see Who we found; Jesus of Nazareth, the Son of Joseph."
He said, "Now, could there be any good thing come from Nazareth, out of that bunch down there?" Worse than holy-rollers, I suppose. "Could there be any good thing come from there?"

E-36 Et je pense qu’il lui a donné la meilleure réponse qu’un homme puisse donner. Il a dit: «Viens, et vois toi-même.» Et en route, il s’est mis à lui raconter les oeuvres que Jésus accomplissait, comme je vous le raconte maintenant. Les gens pensaient en mal de Lui, ils disaient qu’Il était un–un mauvais esprit, quand Il accomplissait les oeuvres. Et en revanche, Il a dit: ‘Vous dites cela contre le Fils de l’homme, cela vous sera pardonné. Mais quand le Saint-Esprit sera venu faire ceci, un seul mot contre Lui ne vous sera jamais pardonné.’» C’est aujourd’hui. Jésus l’a dit.
| E-36 And I think he gave him the best answer that any man could. He said, "Come, see for yourself." And along the road he began to tell him the works that Jesus did, like I'm telling you now. He prepared him for what could happen. Why, I can hear Philip say, "Nathanael, do you know what? When Peter came up to Him, He'd never seen Him. And He told him what his name was, and who his daddy was, where he lived at. Why, He even perceives their thoughts. The people are thinking evil of Him, said He was a--a evil spirit doing the works. And He turned around and said, 'You speak that against the Son of man, it'll be forgiven you. But when the Holy Ghost is come and does it, you speak one word against It, it'll never be forgiven you.'" That's today. Jesus said so.

E-37 Eh bien, quand Nathanaël et son ami, Philippe, sont entrés dans l’auditoire, volontiers, là où il y avait de grandes foules, Jésus prêchait ou tenait un service pour eux, Jésus a fixé le regard sur... Voici venir un de Ses disciples avec un inconnu. Jésus l’a regardé, et Il était revêtu de la puissance de l’Esprit. Et il y avait un Juif honnête. Et Il a dit: «Voici un Israélite dans lequel il n’y a point de fraude.» Eh bien, Il ne l’aurait jamais reconnu par son habillement, car tous les hommes s’habillaient de la même manière.
Cela a frappé ce petit Juif. Et il a dit: «Rabbi, quand m’as-Tu connu?» En d’autres termes: «Tu ne m’as jamais vu, et je ne T’ai jamais vu.» Mais Jésus se manifestait. Il a dit: «Tu ne m’as jamais vu. Je ne T’ai jamais vu, comment as-Tu su que j’étais un homme juste et honnête?»
Eh bien, Il a dit: «Avant que Philippe t’appelât, quand tu étais sous l’arbre, Je t’ai vu.»
| E-37 Now, when Nathanael and his friend, Philip, walked up into the audience, slowly, where great crowds was standing, and Jesus a preaching or ministering to them, Jesus fastened His eyes on... Here come one of His disciples with a strange man. Jesus looked at him and was empowered with Spirit. And there was an honest Jew. And He said, "Behold, an Israelite, in whom there is no guile." Now, He would never know him by his dressings, 'cause all men dressed alike.
And that struck the little Jew. And he said, "Rabbi, when did You know me? Otherwise, You've never seen me, and I've never seen You." But Jesus was manifesting Himself. He said, "You've never seen me. I never seen You, and how would You know I was a just and honest man?"
Why, He said, "Before Philip called you, when you were under the tree, I saw you."

Ils ont découvert cela, comme le Seigneur le fait toujours. Et maintenant, ils sont avec moi depuis un temps. C’est depuis combien de temps vous êtes là, Frère Mercier? Quatre ans.
