Et plus grand que ça, c’est le privilège d’être assemblé avec ces gens ce soir, les rachetés par Ton Sang. Et nous aimerions Te demander de nous visiter avec une grande visitation de Ta Présence. Et rends-nous tous conscients de Dieu ce soir, que Tu es toujours proche.
Bénis le pasteur de cette église, ainsi que ceux qui travaillent, les collaborateurs, les visiteurs, et tous ceux qui sont assemblés ce soir. Que les malades soient guéris, que les–les rétrogrades retrouvent le chemin de retour à la Maison une fois de plus ce soir. Que ceux qui ne sont pas sauvés le soient. Tires-en gloire Toi-même. And a greater privilege than that is to be assembled with these people tonight, the purchase of Thy Blood. And we would ask You to visit us with a great visitation of Thy Presence. And make us all God-conscious tonight, that You are ever near.
Bless the pastor of this church, and the workers, the co-workers, the visitors, and all that's assembled tonight. May the sick be healed, and may the--the backslider find his way back home again tonight. May the unsaved become saved. Get glory to Thyself. For we ask it in Jesus' Name. Amen. May be seated.

E-2 Il y a de cela environ vingt-trois ans, j’avais effectué une visite dans une ville voisine à la vôtre–à la vôtre, la ville de Mishawaka. C’était ma première fois d’entrer en contact avec les pentecôtistes. C’était à un certain tabernacle, je revenais de–de Dowagiac, dans le Michigan, je pense, c’est ici près, avec un ami à moi de longue date chez qui j’avais été pêcher. Et en passant, j’ai vu ce grand rassemblement, alors je me suis arrêté.
Et beaucoup parmi vous ont lu L’Histoire de ma vie, comment j’étais juste un jeune prédicateur baptiste à l’époque. Et c’était la première fois que j’assistais à une réunion des pentecôtistes, et que je les entendais frapper les mains et les voyais courir partout dans la salle. Et je me suis dit: «Oh! la la! Quelles manières d’église!» J’ai fini par découvrir que j’étais l’un d’entre eux et que je ne le savais pas. Alors, cela me–m’allait juste comme un gant.
| E-2 About twenty-three years ago I was visiting in your--your neighboring city of Mishawaka for my first time to ever have any contact with Pentecostal people. And it was over at certain tabernacle, I was coming down from--from up at Dowagiac, Michigan, I think, which is near, with an old friend of mine where I'd been fishing. And I passed by and saw this great rally, and I stopped in.
And many of you's read my life stories, how that I was just a young Baptist minister at that time. And first time I'd ever been in a Pentecostal meeting to hear them clapping their hands and running all over the floor. And I thought, "Oh, my, what church manners." Come to find out, I was one of them and didn't know it. So I--I just fit there just like a glove to a hand.

E-3 Et c’était là qu’un jeune homme de couleur, alors qu’on me cherchait (J’étais pratiquement le plus jeune prédicateur de toute la conférence, je m’étais juste réuni avec eux un soir), alors le jeune homme de couleur a dit... On continuait à demander où j’étais.
Je portais un petit T-shirt et un pantalon en coton gaufré. C’était pendant la crise, vous savez, et personne ne savait que j’étais un prédicateur. Alors, j’étais bien tranquille. Et le jeune homme de couleur a dit: «Savez-vous qui est-ce?»
Et j’ai dit: «Oui, monsieur.»
Et il a dit: «Eh bien, allez le chercher.»
J’ai dit: «Regardez, ai-je dit, c’est moi, mais ne–ne le dites pas. Vous voyez?»
Il a dit: «Il est ici, ici même.»
Je n’oublierai jamais mon passage des Ecritures. J’ai prêché sur le sujet: Dans le séjour des morts, il leva les yeux, l’homme riche. Et j’ai dit: «La raison pour laquelle il pleura, c’est parce qu’il y avait... eh bien, il n’y avait pas de Dieu là, alors il pleura. Et j’ai dit: «Il n’y avait pas d’enfants là, alors il pleura. Il n’y avait pas de prédicateur là, alors il pleura.» Puis, je pleurai. J’étais tellement emporté en Esprit, c’est alors que j’ai découvert que j’étais l’un d’entre eux.
| E-3 And it was in that place there where the colored boy, when they was asking about me. I was the next to the youngest minister in the whole conference, just gathered with them a night, and the colored boy said... They kept asking where I was.
And I had a little T-shirt on, a little seersucker pair of trousers on. That was during the time of the depression you know, and no one knew me to be a minister, so I was just setting real quiet. And the colored boy said, "Do you know who he is?"
And I said, "Yes, sir."
And he said, "Well, go get him."
I said, "Look," I said, "I'm him, but don't--don't say that. See?."
He said, "Here he is, right here."
I never will forget my text. I preached on the subject, "And He Lifted Up His Eyes In Hell," the rich man. And I said, "The reason he cried, because there was, well there's no God there, so he cried." And I said, "There was no children there, so he cried. There was no preacher there, so he cried." Then I cried. So I just got all wound up in the Spirit, and that's when I found out that I was one of them.

E-4 Ce soir, je suis heureux d’être ici. Eh bien, il y a quelques semaines, j’étais assis dans un beau restaurant, ou pas un restaurant, c’était à Marine Gardens à Chicago, je prenais un petit-déjeuner. Et j’ai eu le privilège de m’asseoir à côté de votre honorable pasteur. On me l’a présenté (En fait, je l’avais vu auparavant), et nous nous sommes mis à causer. Alors, il m’a invité à venir avec... Il a dit que frère Moore, mon secrétaire particulier, lui avait dit qu’un jour, s’il allait chez lui, nous, nous viendrions ici. Donc, frère Moore n’avait jamais tenu parole envers frère Summerall.
J’ai dit: «Eh bien, je vous dois donc une visite.» Et j’ai dit: «Il y a donc–donc beaucoup d’endroits; on en a enregistré trop pour... Est-ce juste trois soirées, ça va?»Et il a dit: «Tout ira.» Nous y voici donc. Et je–j’aimerais dire une chose que... Pas parce qu’il est assis ici, mais je suis certainement content d’être ici, et je peux comprendre pourquoi un esprit comme celui-ci règne en ce lieu. J’ai parlé de lui là où j’allais avec beaucoup de gens. Mais j’aimerais dire ceci à votre pasteur. Il est préférable de lui donner un petit bouton de rose maintenant plutôt qu’une couronne après son départ. J’ai eu ma première personne que j’ai entendu dire quelque chose contre frère Summerall. Un homme honnête et si merveilleux, je sais qu’il est un...?... En effet, j’ai appris ce matin-là. Les gens s’assembleront tous demain après-midi, mes fidèles par ici, pour l’entendre parler dans ces réunions de l’après-midi. Je suis sûr que vous apprécierez être ici et l’écouter.
| E-4 I'm happy tonight to be here. Now, a few weeks ago I was setting in a beautiful restaurant, or not a restaurant, it was the Marine Gardens in Chicago, having breakfast. And I had the privilege of setting by your honorable pastor. And they introduced me to him, and which I'd seen him before, and we got to talking.
And he gave me an invitation to come over with... Saying that Brother Moore, my private secretary, had told him that someday if he would come down to his place, we'd come up here. So Brother Moore never fulfilled his agreement with Brother Summerall.
I said, "Well, I owe you a visit then." And I said, "It's been so--so many places; it's booked so heavy to... Would just about three nights be all right?"
And he said, "Anything would be all right." So here we are.
And I--I want to say one thing that... Not because he's setting here, but I'm certainly happy to be here, and can understand why a spirit like this would exist in a place. I have spoke about him to where I was going with many people.
But I want to say this to your pastor. Rather give him a little rosebud now, than a wreath when he's gone. I have got my first person to hear say one thing against Brother Summerall. That the honesty and such a wonderful man, I know he's a...?... 'cause I heard that morning. The people all gathering tomorrow afternoon, my folks around here to hear him speak in these afternoon meetings. I'm sure you'll enjoy being here and hearing him.

E-5 Et maintenant, nous sommes ici pour essayer d’associer notre petit ministère au vôtre pour glorifier Dieu. Et maintenant, je... Le Seigneur m’a appelé il y a des années afin de prier pour Ses enfants malades. Et c’est ce que j’essaie de faire avec révérence.
Et je ne prétends donc pas être un guérisseur. Si quelqu’un peut entendre cela, je ne suis pas un guérisseur. Je ne prétends pas guérir les gens. Franchement, je–je ne crois pas qu’il y ait quelqu’un qui puisse guérir les gens, car c’est le travail de Dieu, et Il l’a déjà fait. Voyez? C’est par Ses meurtrissures que nous avons été guéris quand Son Fils, au Calvaire, a été blessé pour nos péchés; et c’est par Ses meurtrissures que nous avons été guéris, au temps passé.
Et bien souvent, les gens parlent de la guérison divine. Il n’existe pas d’autre guérison en dehors de la guérison divine. C’est la seule guérison qui existe, il n’y en a pas d’autre, en dehors de la guérison divine. Jamais un médicament n’a donc guéri un malade. Jamais une intervention chirurgicale n’a donc guéri. Voyez?Une intervention chirurgicale est une aide, un médicament également; en fait, nous pensons qu’ils sont utiles. Nous sommes reconnaissants à Dieu pour chaque assistance que nous avons, mais c’est Dieu qui est le Guérisseur. Voyez? Psaume 103.3 dit: «Je suis l’Eternel qui guérit toutes tes maladies.»
| E-5 And now, we are here to try to put in our little ministry with your ministry together to bring glory to God. And now, I... The Lord has called me years ago to pray for His sick children. And that I reverently try to do.
And I do not claim to be a healer now. If anyone can hear that, I'm not a healer. I don't claim to heal people. I, frankly, I don't believe there's anyone can heal people, because that's God's job, and He's already did that. See? By His stripes we were healed when His Son, at Calvary, was wounded for our transgressions; and with His stripes we were healed, a past tense.
And so many times people speak of Divine healing. There is no healing but Divine healing. That's the only healing there is, no other healing, but Divine healing. Never did medicine ever cure any case. Never did an operation ever cure. See?
Operation is an aid, and medicine is an aid, which we think they're fine. We thank God for every aid that we have, but God's the Healer. See? Psalms 103:3 said, "I'm the Lord Who heals all thy diseases."

E-6 Donc, nous savons, nous devons nous accorder avec la Parole. Si la Parole tape à côté à un endroit, c’est qu’Elle est donc à côté partout. C’est en parfaite harmonie sur toute la ligne. Je crois simplement la Parole. Ce–c’est... Dieu... C’est le plan de Dieu. Je ne veux rien de plus que ce que la Bible enseigne, mais je veux tout ce qu’Elle enseigne. Je veux–je veux tout cela. C’est donc la Parole de Dieu. Elle doit venir... Maintenant, je sais que Dieu peut faire des choses qui ne sont pas écrites dans Sa Parole. Il est Dieu. Il peut faire tout ce qu’Il désire. Mais tant que je sais que cela vient de la Parole, cela me rassure bien que tout est en ordre. Je–j’aime vraiment cela. Maintenant, nous demandons au Seigneur ce soir de nous bénir. Et maintenant, juste encore un mot sur la guérison divine. Eh bien, je ne suis point venu prendre la place de votre médecin. Voyez? Non. Voici ce que je suis venu faire: Je suis venu prier pour l’enfant de Dieu, le patient du médecin, mon frère et ma soeur. C’est–c’est ce pour quoi je suis venu. Voyez? Et maintenant, à propos, on voit tellement de choses quand on parle de la guérison du corps, qu’il y a... Souvent, les motifs et les objectifs que poursuivent les gens semblent être tellement imprécis et faux.
| E-6 So we know, we have to agree with the Word. If the Word's out in one place, then it's out everywhere. It's perfectly in harmony all the way through. I just believe the Word. That--that's... God... That's God's program. I do not want anything more than the Bible teaches, but I want all that it does teach. I want--I want it all. So it's God's Word. It must come...
Now, I know that God can do things that's not written in His Word. He's God. He can do anything He desires to do. But as long as I know it's coming out of the Word, it just gives me a good assurance that everything's all right. I--I like that real well.
Now, we're asking the Lord tonight to bless us. And now, just one more word on Divine healing. Now, I never come to take the place of your doctor. See? No. I come to do this: I come to pray for God's child, the doctor's patient, my brother and sister. That's--that's what I come for. See?
And now, in this you see so much when you speak of bodily healing, that there's... The motives and the objectives of people seem to be so confused and wrong many times.

E-7 Eh bien, quand vous allez chez un médecin, il vous dira: «N’allez pas chez ce chirurgien-là. Il n’est qu’un–qu’un boucher. Il va simplement vous dépecer. C’est un chirurgien.»
Et puis, le–le chirurgien répliquera au médecin au sujet du médecin: «Vous n’avez pas besoin de ces pilules sucrées. Il vous faut une intervention chirurgicale.» Eh bien, tous deux diront après: «Vous n’avez rien à faire avec ce chiropraticien.» Voyez? «Ce n’est qu’un remède, votre pensée.»
Et le chiropraticien dira de l’ostéopathe: «Ce sont vos os qui ont besoin d’être ajustés, et non vos muscles d’être frictionnés.» Et–et eux tous sont contre le prédicateur. Ainsi donc, vous y êtes alors. Mais ce que je pense, c’est que les motifs et les objectifs ne sont pas corrects. Voyez?
| E-7 Now, you go to the medical doctor and he will say, "Don't you go over to that surgeon. He's nothing but a--a butcher. He will just cut you to pieces. He's a saw-bone."
And then the--the surgeon will say back to the medical, about the medical doctor, "You don't need sugar pills. You need an operation." Well, then both of them will say, "Don't have nothing to do with that chiropractor." See? It isn't nothing but just physic, your mind.
And the chiropractor will say to the osteopathic, "Your bones need adjusting, not your muscles rubbed." And--and they're all against the preacher. So now--so, there you are. But what I think that the motives and the objectives is not right. See?

E-8 Si tout est correct... C’est–c’est une affaire d’argent. Si tout est correct et qu’un homme a des motifs et des objectifs corrects à ce sujet, voici ce que je pense, c’est que chacun de nous... Et nous savons tous que les interventions chirurgicales sont bonnes, les médicaments sont efficaces, la Bible le dit. Et–et vous savez qu’un chiropraticien et un ostéopathe aident souvent les gens. Nous le savons. Vous donc... C’est une bonne assistance, une aide.
Ce que nous devrions donc faire, c’est unir, nous tous, nos mains et nos coeurs ensemble, aller de l’avant pour faire tout notre possible pour nos prochains afin de rendre la vie un peu plus agréable dans ce pèlerinage dans lequel nous sommes ici de toute façon, nous entraider, faire tout notre possible pour tirer profit et rendre la vie plus agréable pour chaque personne qui est dans ce pèlerinage. C’est à cette fin que je suis ici, pour essayer de faire cela, joindre mes mains à celles de votre médecin, votre chiropraticien, votre chirurgien, votre pasteur, votre voisin, et–et tous, essayer de rendre la vie un peu meilleure.
| E-8 If everything's right... It's--it's a money making thing. If everything is right and a man has got his right motive and his right objective to it, I think this, that each of us, and all know that operations does good, medicine does good. Bible said so. And--and you know a chiropractic and osteopathic, many times helps people. We know that. You just... That's a good aid, a help.
So what we should do, would each one of us join hands and hearts together and march forward to do everything we can for our people to make life a little more pleasant, this journey that we're here in anyhow, to help one another, to do all that we can to benefit and to make life more pleasant for each person that's traveling this journey.
It's to this end that I'm here, to try to--to do that, to join hands with your doctor, with your chiropractor, with your surgeon, with your pastor, with your neighbor, and--and all to try to make life just a little better.

E-9 Et je suis sûr, parce que je sens déjà que j’ai été béni en entrant dans cette église ici, je sens ce merveilleux esprit accueillant, et pour avoir serré la main à ces frères prédicateurs à notre arrivée. Juste trois soirées, juste nous rassembler, nous familiariser un peu. J’ai toujours eu un vif désir de venir ici. Et puis, peut-être que plus tard, le Seigneur voulant, nous pourrons faire quelque chose, peut-être par un temps chaud, dresser une grande tente quelque part ici et avoir un bon réveil, car cela prendrait un long moment.
Eh bien, à propos, c’est–c’est bien difficile d’aborder un... avec un genre de ministère nouveau, et puis, essayer d’introduire cela rien qu’en trois soirées, alors qu’à vrai dire, il faudrait trois soirées d’introduction avant que vous... d’amener les gens à voir que c’est la Parole.
| E-9 And I'm sure by already I feel that I have been blessed to walk in this church here, and feel this wonderful welcome spirit, and to get to shake hands with these minister brethren as we come in. Just a three night, just a little get to--together, a little get acquainted. I've always longed to come here.
And then maybe later on, the Lord willing, we could do something maybe in warm weather, to put up a big tent here somewhere and have a good revival for it would take a long time.
Now, in this it's--it's pretty hard to come in on a... with a new type of ministry, and then try to introduce it in just three nights, when really it should take three nights of introducing before you... to get the people to see that it's the Word.

E-10 Nous croyons que la Parole de Dieu est vraie. Jésus a dit: «Les Ecritures ne peuvent pas être anéanties.» Ainsi donc, la Parole est vraie. Il y a très peu de gens, en fait, que je rencontre et avec qui j’entre en contact par l’imposition des mains. Ce n’est pas cela mon ministère. Nous savons que c’est un grand ministère, l’imposition des mains. Mais le ministère de l’imposition des mains était un signe juif. Vous savez, Jaïrus a dit: «Viens imposer les mains à ma fille, et elle vivra.»
Mais le centenier romain a dit: «Dis seulement un mot.» C’est tout, un homme des nations. Voyez? «Dis seulement un mot.» Jésus s’est retourné et a dit: «Je n’ai point trouvé une pareille foi en Israël.» Voyez?
«Dis seulement un mot.» En effet, qu’était-il arrivé? Eh bien, gardez cela à l’esprit. Ce Romain savait que chaque maladie et chaque affliction étaient soumises à Sa Parole. Eh bien, si vous pouvez savoir la même chose, tout est fini. Voyez? Lorsque vous arrivez à connaître la même chose, que chaque démon, chaque maladie, chaque indisposition, chaque affliction, est soumis à la Parole de Dieu: «Dis seulement un mot, et mon serviteur sera guéri. Je ne suis pas digne que Tu entres sous mon toit.»
| E-10 We believe the Word of God is right. Jesus said, "The Scriptures cannot be broken," so then the Word is right. And to come and try to start praying for the people right on the first night, it makes it hard. So I--I just ask this, for your--your confidence. And I...
There's very few people that I really come up and contact by laying on of hands. My ministry is not that. We realize that that's a great ministry, laying on of hands. But ministry of laying on of hands was a Jewish sign. You know Jairus said, "Come, lay Your hands on my daughter, and she'll live."
But the Roman centurion said, "Just speak the word." That's all, the Gentile. See? "Just say the word."
Jesus turned and said, "I haven't found faith like that in Israel." See?
"Just speak the word," because what happened? Now, bear this in mind. That Roman knew that every sickness and disease was subject to His Word. Now, if you can realize the same, it's all over. See? When you can realize the same that every demon, every sickness, every disease, every affliction is subject to the Word of God. "Just speak the word, and my servant will get well. I'm not worthy that You come under my roof."

E-11 Et puis, dans le ministère, comme je le dis, que–qu’Il m’a confié, je ne suis pas instruit, et pas un... Je ne me dis même pas prédicateur, je suis juste une espèce de pneu de réserve, vous savez. Cela... Et... Mais c’est pour essayer d’apporter le ministère aux gens afin qu’ils aiment le Seigneur Jésus. Que Dieu vous vienne en aide, et qu’Il nous aide tous maintenant à Le magnifier, Lui que nous sommes venus magnifier ici.
Je souhaiterais lire dans la Parole de Dieu ce soir juste pour quelques instants. Et c’est une nouvelle série de réunions, et je suis arrivé un peu nerveux, pour commencer, vous savez, mais je ne sais pas. J’ai tenu beaucoup de réunions à travers le monde, plu–plusieurs fois, mais il y a quelque chose, quand vous affrontez quelque chose, qui fait que vous vous rendez compte de son caractère sacré. C’est Dieu qui a envoyé cela. Satan cherche donc une faille partout où il le peut. Eh bien, si les gens ne sont pas attachés à la Parole, ils ne peuvent cependant pas dire ouvertement, mais on n’a pas à le dire ouvertement, Dieu sait cela lorsque ça se trouve dans votre coeur. Donc vous sentez cela. Voyez-vous? Mais maintenant, si seulement vous allez... Si vous me voyez faire quoi que ce soit, ou le Saint-Esprit faire quoi que ce soit, qui n’est pas dans les Ecritures, alors faites-le-nous savoir. Voyez? Cela doit...
| E-11 And then, in the ministry, as I say that--that He has given me, I'm uneducated, and not a... I don't even call myself a preacher, just kind of a spare tire like, you know. That... And... But in that to try to bring a ministry to the people that they might love the Lord Jesus. God be with you. And may God help you, and help us all now to magnify He Who we come here to magnify.
I wish to read out of the Word of God tonight just for a few moments. And a new meeting, and coming in, and a little nervous to start with you know, but I don't know. I had lots of meetings around the world ma--many times, but there's something about when you're facing something, that you realize that the sacredness of it. God sent it. Satan's just looking for a flaw anywhere he can.
Now, if the people are not sewed down on the Word, yet they might not speak it out, but you don't have to speak it out, God knows it when it's in your heart. Then you feel that. You see? But now, if you'll just... If you see me do anything, or the Holy Spirit do anything that's not in the Scriptures, then let us know about it. See? It must...

E-12 Il y a quelques soirées là à Waterloo, et je pensais... Un soir, là, nous–nous avons eu un petit-déjeuner de prédicateurs, et il y avait plutôt un esprit résistant. On semblait ne pas être en mesure de–de saisir la chose. Non pas... C’était parmi les presbytériens, les luthériens et autres. C’était un esprit très résistant.
Et cela a bien failli me briser. En effet, le Seigneur accomplissait de grandes oeuvres, mais cependant, les gens restaient simplement assis. On pouvait saisir cela dans leur esprit, vous savez, ce que c’était, ce qu’ils pensaient. Et cela rend la chose très difficile, s’ils ne sont pas tous avec vous d’un commun accord, vous savez.
| E-12 A few nights ago over in Waterloo, and I was thinking... One night there we--we had a ministerial breakfast, and there was a rather hard spirit. There seemed to not be able to--to just grasp it. Not... It was amongst the Presbyterian, Lutheran, and so forth. And it was a very hard spirit.
And I was just broke down with it, because the Lord was doing great things, but yet the people would just set. You could pick it up in their mind, you know, what it was, what they were thinking. And that makes it awfully hard, if they're not all with you, one place in one accord, you know.

E-13 Et pendant que j’étais là à l’estrade, juste en train de prier, j’ai pensé qu’un avion traversait. J’ai regardé le docteur Vayle, ici, et lui avait pensé qu’une femme avait–avait changé de mélodie à l’orgue ou quelque chose comme cela. Cela avait retenti comme un tonnerre grondant quelque part, comme un tonnerre grondant, à distance.
Billy avait sursauté. Et j’ai regardé frère Mercier ici (le jeune homme chargé des bandes, lui et frère Goad, ainsi que mon fils, ce sont eux qui distribuent les cartes de prière), lui avait pensé qu’il avait fait quelque chose. Il m’a vu le regarder. Il a dit que son coeur était sur le point de s’évanouir. Il ne savait pas ce que c’était.
Puis, tout d’un coup, cela a parcouru la salle, comme un–un vent, seulement ce n’était pas un vent, c’était un bruit comme un vent, et cela a simplement secoué et a parcouru l’assistance, et on voyait les gens pâlir comme cela passait au-dessus de l’assistance, juste une répétition de la Pentecôte, comme un vent impétueux. Donc...
Mais ce n’était pas un vent, c’était juste comme une influence qui parcourait comme cela. Et j’ai remarqué que la Bible dit: «Il vint du ciel un bruit comme celui d’un vent impétueux.» Voyez? Et je me suis mis à examiner, car je sais que le Saint-Esprit ne se méconduit jamais. Il a toujours raison.

And it sound like a thundering coming somewhere, like a thunder roaring, coming at a distance.
Billy jumped up. And I looked over to Brother Mercier here (which is the tape boy, and he and Brother Goad, and my son, and them give out the prayer cards.), he thought he'd done something. And he'd seen me look at him. He said his heart was about to fail. He didn't know what it was.
Then all of a sudden coming right through the building, come like a--a wind, only it wasn't a wind, it was a rumble like a wind, and just shook down, and went out over the audience, and you see them turning white as it just waved over the audience, just a repeat like Pentecost, like a rushing mighty wind. So...
But it wasn't a wind, it was just like an influence that went out like that. And I noticed the Bible said, "There came from heaven a sound as a rushing mighty wind." See? And I begin to check, because I know the Holy Spirit never misbehaves Itself. It's always right.
So then I begin to check it with the Word. And then I turned over to Saint John the 12th chapter where our Lord was praying one time. And while He was praying, around some of His critics, well, the God of heaven spoke back to His Son. And the people who stood by said it thundered. Some of them said an Angel spoke. And Jesus said, "It didn't come because of Me, but because of you." See? So He's always Scripturally every time.

S’adressèrent à Philippe, de Bethsaïda en Galilée, et lui dirent avec instance: Seigneur, nous voudrions voir Jésus.
Et puis, comme sujet, le thème habituel des campagnes, c’est Hébreux 13.8:
Jésus-Christ est le même hier, aujourd’hui et éternellement.
Et maintenant, sur base de cette Parole, j’aimerais vous parler quelques instants. C’est une chose très inhabituelle de penser que quelqu’un, ou le monde, mettrait en doute les Paroles du Créateur, mais c’est–c’est parce qu’il est dominé par l’incrédulité et les esprits ennemis qui amènent les gens à ne pas croire.
| E-14 Now, to read His blessed holy Word, just to talk to you a few moments, and pray for the sick, and try to make this a night of getting together and getting acquainted. And if you'll just put all that you have in it in prayer and backing up, well, then we'll... I believe the Lord will heal all the sick and the afflicted and we'll just have a wonderful meeting.
In the word of Saint John the 12th chapter and the 20th verse, a little familiar text.
And there were certain Greeks among them that came up to worship at the feast:
The same came therefore to Philip, which was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and desired him, saying, Sirs, we would see Jesus.
And then for a text, the regular campaign theme is Hebrews 13:8: "Jesus Christ The Same Yesterday, Today, and Forever." And now, upon this Word I would like to talk to you just a few moments.
It's a most unusual thing to think that someone or the world would question the words of the Creator, but it's--it's because it's dominated by unbelief and spirits of enemy which make them to disbelieve.

E-15 Je ne pense pas que quelqu’un ait déjà entendu parler de ce précieux Nom de Jésus sans désirer ardemment Le voir. J’ai eu le privilège de prêcher dans beaucoup de pays étrangers, et de grandes foules venaient entendre l’Evangile. Mais jamais de ma vie je n’ai vu quelqu’un qui ait déjà entendu parler de Jésus sans désirer ardemment Le voir. Il y a bien quelque chose chez les êtres humains, qui ressemble au vieux slogan de Missouri: «Voir, c’est croire.» Et nous nous confions trop au sens de la vue. Comme les cinq sens contrôlent le corps, le sens de la vue, c’est la porte de l’âme.
C’est vraiment dommage que les protestants ne sachent pas cela. Les catholiques ont saisi cela il y a longtemps, avec des statuettes, des monuments et autres des saints. Mais l’oeil, la porte de l’âme...
| E-15 I don't believe that anyone ever heard that precious Name of Jesus but what longed to see Him. I have had the privilege of preaching in many foreign nations, and great crowds of people come out to hear the Gospel. But I've never seen anyone in my life, that ever heard of Jesus but what longed to see Him.
There's just something about human beings that, seem like the old Missouri slogan, "Seeing is believing." And we rely so much upon the sense of sight. As five sense control the body, and a sense of sight is the gate to the soul.
It's too bad the Protestant people don't know that. The Catholic caught it long ago, of little statues and monuments and so forth, of saints. But the eye, the gate to the soul...

E-16 Alors, ces Grecs avaient entendu quelque chose à Son sujet, et ils étaient venus voir qui Il était et ce qu’Il était. Or, si la Bible dit cela: «Il est le même hier, aujourd’hui et éternellement», c’est qu’Il doit donc être le même en essence, le même quant à la puissance, le même en acte, avec le même motif et le même objectif. Il doit être le même à tous égards, sauf dans le corps physique.
| E-16 And these Greeks had heard something about Him, and they came to find out Who He was and what He was. And they said, "Sir, we would see Jesus." Now, they didn't desire to see His works. They only desired to see Jesus.
And then, if Hebrews 13:8 (not if), but it is true: the same yesterday, today, and forever, it's seemingly then, that we would be able to see Him today just like they did then, if He's the same.
Now, if the Bible says that, "He is the same yesterday, today, and forever," then He's got to be the same in principle, the same in power, the same in action, the same in motive and objective. He's got to be the same in every way, only a corporal body.

E-17 Eh bien, le corps physique était une demeure de Dieu. Dieu était en Christ réconciliant le monde avec Lui-même. Et ce corps a été tué au Calvaire pour faire l’expiation. C’est là qu’Il a été blessé pour nos péchés; c’est par Ses meurtrissures que nous avons été guéris.
Et Dieu a ressuscité ce corps le troisième jour, il vit de nouveau, et il est assis à Sa droite ce soir, dans la Gloire, intercédant sur base de notre, ou sur base de notre confession. Il est notre Souverain Sacrificateur. Il doit faire... intercéder pour nous lorsque nous confessons.
Et tout ce qu’Il a fait par Son sacrifice tout suffisant au Calvaire, tout ce qu’Il a fait là dans l’expiation, Il a payé le prix pour nous afin que nous acceptions cela par la foi et que nous demandions; et Il est devant le Père, intercédant sur–sur base de ce que nous confessons qu’Il a fait.
| E-17 Now, the corporal body was a dwelling place of God. God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself. And this body was put to death at Calvary for an atonement. There's where He was wounded for our transgressions; with His stripes we were healed.
And God lifted that body up on the third day, alive again, and it sets at His right hand tonight in glory to make intercessions upon our, or upon our confession. He is our High Priest. He is to make, to intercede for us where we make a confession.
And anything that He did in His all-sufficient sacrifice at Calvary, anything that He did there in the atonement, He bought the price for us to accept it by faith and to ask; and He's before the Father to make intercessions up--upon what we confess that He has done.

E-18 Eh bien, confesser signifie dire la même chose. Or, dans ce corps physique-là, après qu’Il se fut assis à la droite... Le Saint-Esprit a été renvoyé sur la terre pour–l’Esprit de Christ–pour demeurer dans l’Eglise. Croyez-vous cela? Nous sommes–nous sommes l’Eglise de Christ. Comment entrons-nous dans l’Eglise? Ce n’est pas par une dénomination, ce n’est pas par une voie autre que le baptême spirituel: 1 Corinthiens 12. Nous avons tous été baptisés dans un même Esprit pour former un seul corps. Ce n’est pas par le baptême d’eau, mais par le baptême de l’Esprit que nous avons été introduits dans le Corps de Christ, par le baptême de l’Esprit, et nous sommes devenus membres de Son Corps.
| E-18 Now, confess means, "Say the same thing." If the Bible said, "By his stripes we were healed," to confess it, is to confess the same thing. "By His stripes I was healed. By His stripes I am healed. He was wounded for our transgressions; with his stripes we were healed."
Now, in that corporal body, after He sets right... The Holy Spirit was sent back to the earth to--the Spirit of Christ, to dwell in the Church. Do you believe that? We are--we are Christ's Church. How do we get into the church? Not by denomination, not by any other way, but by spiritual baptism: I Corinthians 12. By one Spirit we're all baptized into one body. Not by water baptism, but by spiritual baptism we're inducted into the body of Christ by spiritual baptism, and become members of His body.

E-19 Saint Jean 15, Il a dit: «Je suis le Cep, vous êtes les sarments.» Or, ce n’est pas le cep qui porte des fruits. Le cep donne seulement la vie au sarment, et c’est le sarment qui porte des fruits. L’Eglise est le sarment rattaché au Cep pour porter des fruits. Comprenez-vous cela? Et le–le sarment ne peut pas porter des fruits avant de recevoir du cep la vie. Et quelle que soit la vie qui est dans le cep, c’est ce que le sarment portera, le même genre de fruits que ce–que ce... qui vient de la source de la vie, c’est là qu’il tire la vie. Si c’est un potiron, il produira des potirons. Si c’est une pastèque, elle produira des pastèques. Si c’est une–si c’est une vigne, elle produira des raisins. Et si l’Eglise est en Christ, elle produira donc l’Esprit comme Celui de Christ, les oeuvres comme celles de Christ, la foi comme celle de Christ. Si elle est correctement attachée à un cep robuste, qui n’a pas été découpé, qui ne pend pas, qui ne se flétrit pas, mais un véritable et bon sarment robuste rattaché au Cep portera les fruits de l’Esprit. Nous savons que c’est vrai.
| E-19 Saint John 15, He said, "I am the Vine; ye are the branches." Now, the vine does not bear fruit. The vine only energizes the branch, and the branch bears fruit. And the Church is the branch connected into the Vine to bear fruit. You get it? And the--the branch cannot bear fruit until it's energized by the Vine.
And whatever life is in the vine, the branch will bear the kind of fruit that it--it's--from the life giving resource it's getting its life from. If it's a pumpkin it'll bear pumpkins. If it's a watermelon, it'll bear watermelon. If it's a--if it's a grape vine, it'll bear grapes.
And if the Church is in Christ, then it'll bear Christ-like Spirit, Christ-like works, Christ-like faith. If it's properly connected, a good healthy vine, not cut off, hanging down, or withering away. But real, good, healthy branch connected into the Vine will bring forth the fruits of the Spirit. We know that to be true.

Il est dans Son Eglise ce soir pour faire la même chose.
C’est vraiment dommage que nous ayons tracé des lignes de démarcation, placé des barrières, que nous ayons différentes petites sensations et des ismes, plutôt que de prendre juste ce que Dieu a dit être la vérité. C’est vrai.
| E-20 Now, Jesus said before He left the earth, "These works that I do shall you do also." And He said, "A little while and the world will see Me no more." Now, the world there meant world order. "The world will see Me no more, yet ye shall see Me." "Ye" is a believer. The world is the unbeliever. "For I ('I' is a personal pronoun.), I'll be with you (how long?) to the end of the world." I, Christ, in His church, energizing, bringing the same things that--that He did when He was here on earth. As He did in all the ages gone by. He's in His church tonight to do the same thing.
It's too bad that we've drawed lines, and barriers, and got different little sensations and isms, instead of just taking what God said was the truth. That's right.

E-21 Eh bien, s’Il nous apparaissait dans ces derniers jours... Eh bien, ne l’oubliez pas, quand Il est apparu aux Juifs, Il–Il a dit à Ses disciples: «N’allez pas vers les païens. Allez plutôt vers les brebis perdues de la maison d’Israël.» Et nous voyons que Jésus Lui-même ne s’est jamais manifesté dans la présence... ou ne s’est jamais manifesté aux–aux Gentils, ni n’a jamais envoyé Son Eglise vers les Gentils.
Mais cela viendrait plus tard. L’Evangile serait prêché aux Gentils plus tard. Paul a dit, après qu’il eut été plusieurs fois rejeté par les Juifs: «Voici, nous nous tournons vers les païens.»
Eh bien, pour découvrir ce qu’Il était hier, Sa manifestation, Le voir, ce qu’Il est aujourd’hui... s’Il est donc le même aujourd’hui qu’hier, Sa manifestation doit être la même.
Eh bien, cela peut sembler un peu inhabituel par rapport au courant de l’école habituelle, mais après tout, Jésus a prononcé ces Paroles: «Il fera aussi les oeuvres que Je fais.» Saint Jean, je pense que c’est 14.7. «Il fera aussi les oeuvres que Je fais; de plus grandes...» La bonne traduction, c’est davantage. Vous ne pouvez pas faire de plus grandes. S’Il... de plus grandes en quantité, mais pas en qualité... Il a ressuscité les morts, Il a arrêté le cours de la nature. Il a simplement fait tout. Cela pourrait donc être plus que ça, parce qu’alors le Saint-Esprit travaillera dans l’Eglise, dans l’univers. «Vous ferez davantage de mêmes oeuvres, car Je m’en vais au Père. Et Je reviendrai, Je serai avec vous, en vous.»
| E-21 Now, if He has appeared to us in these last days... Now, remember, when He appeared to the Jew, He--He told His disciples, "Don't go to any Gentile. Go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel." And we find out that Jesus Himself never manifested Himself in the presence, or to show Hisself to--to the Gentiles, or sent His Church to the Gentiles.
But that was to come later. The Gospel was to be preached to the Gentiles later. Paul said after he'd been turned down so many times by the Jews, "Lo, we turn to the Gentiles."
Now, in order to find out what He was yesterday, His manifestation to see Him, what He is today... Then if He's the same today as He was yesterday, His manifestation has to be the same.
Now, that may seem just a little unusual from the regular trend of school, but after all, Jesus said these words, "The works that I do shall he do also." Saint John, I believe it's 14:7. "The works that I do shall he do also; greater..." The right translation is more. You couldn't do any greater. If He... A greater in quantity, but not in quality... He raised the dead, stopped nature. He just did everything. So it would more than this, because then the Holy Spirit would be working through the church throughout the universe. "More of the same works will you do; because I go to the Father. And I'll come again, and be with you, in you."

L’unique véritable et réel tableau que nous puissions en avoir pour les pentecôtistes, pour les gens du Plein Evangile, les nazaréens, les pèlerins de la sainteté, les méthodistes, les baptistes et les autres, si Jésus est le même hier, aujourd’hui et éternellement, retournons voir ce qu’Il était hier. Alors, nous verrons ce qu’Il sera éternellement, et ce qu’Il est aujourd’hui. Voyons ce qu’Il était dans le passé.
| E-22 Now, there's only one just way. If I'd say to you Presbyterians tonight, "Do you believe that?"
"Yes, I believe that." Methodists, Pentecostal, and so forth, each one would believe it. You'd think your church was a doing it. Well, that's right, I believe that also. I wouldn't discredit anyone's faith in God by any denomination, because Christ is no respect of person or denomination. He seeks what will worship Him.
But now, let's... The only real true picture we can get out of this for the Pentecostal, for the Full Gospel, Nazarene, Pilgrim Holiness, Methodist, Baptist, and so forth, if Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever, let's go back and find out what He was yesterday. Then we'll find out what He will be forever, and what He is today. Find out what He was in the days gone by.

Eh bien, est-ce la vérité? Le Fils de Dieu peut-Il mentir? Absolument pas. C’est vrai. Donc, Jésus n’a jamais accompli un miracle sans que Dieu Lui ait premièrement montré quoi faire, sinon Il a dit quelque chose de faux dans Saint Jean 5.19.
Eh bien, les gens ont toujours eu cela à l’esprit, que les prophètes de Dieu, Christ et les autres guérissaient simplement tout ce qu’ils savaient guérir. Non, non. Cela n’a jamais été accordé à la chair humaine.
Considérez les prophètes. Prenez Elie sur le mont Carmel. Après avoir placé toutes ces choses, il a dit: «Seigneur, j’ai fait cela sur Ton ordre.» C’est toujours Dieu qui agit, montrant Sa volonté sur ce qu’il y a à faire.

And Jesus never claimed to be a Healer. How many knows that? He certainly did not. Jesus said, "The Son can do nothing in Himself. It's not Me that doeth the works: it's My Father that dwelleth in Me; He doeth the works." And He said, "The Son can do nothing in Himself," Saint John 5:19, "But what the Father... what He sees the Father doing, that doeth the Son likewise."
Now, is that the truth? Could the Son of God lie? No, sir. That's true. Then Jesus never performed one miracle without God showing Him first what to do, or He told something wrong in Saint John 5:19.
Now, people has always had it in their mind that God's prophets, and Christ and them, just healed whatever they taken notion to heal. No, sir. Never was that granted to human flesh.
Test the prophets. Get Elijah on Mount Carmel. When he laid all these things out, he said, "Lord, I've did this at Your command." Always God moving, showing His will on what do to.

We have it by measure. The gift that we have in the church tonight is just so little up the side of what His great Spirit was. It's just like a spoonful of water out of a great mighty sea.
But if you should take a spoonful of water from the sea, and take it into the laboratory, and examine it, all of the chemicals that was in the sea would be represented in that spoonful of water. It'd be the same kind of water, yet not as much.

E-25 C’est ainsi qu’est l’Esprit dans l’église. C’est le même Esprit, mais ce n’est pas la plénitude que Lui avait reçue. Ses disciples avaient été complètement vaincus devant un cas d’épilepsie. Et le père a dit: «Je l’ai amené à Tes–à Tes disciples, a-t-il dit, je... ils n’ont pas pu le guérir.» Et il a dit: «Seigneur, si Tu le peux, aie pitié de nous.» Jésus a dit: «Amène-le ici. Je le peux, si tu crois.» Et lorsque cet esprit a vu cette grande puissance de Dieu, il a reconnu que c’était plus qu’une cuillérée qu’il avait trouvée dans les disciples. Et l’esprit a été vaincu, à coup sûr. Cela a projeté le jeune garçon dans la crise la plus aiguë qu’il n’avait peut-être jamais piquée, et il s’est roulé par terre. Mais cependant, quand Jésus a dit: «Relevez-le. Donnez-lui à manger, il va bien»...Maintenant, au chapitre 1, nous voyons qu’il y eut un homme qui s’est converti et qui est allé trouver son ami, son frère Pierre; c’était André. Et quand Pierre est venu vers le Seigneur Jésus... Suivez attentivement, Saint Jean 1. Quand Pierre est venu vers Jésus, non seulement Jésus l’a connu, mais il a su qui était son père. Jésus a dit: «Tu es Simon, mais tu seras appelé Pierre.» C’est une petite pierre. Il a dit: «Ton père s’appelle Jonas.» C’est ce que déclarent les Ecritures. Il avait connu Pierre, Il avait su son nom et Il avait su le nom de son père.
| E-25 That's the way the Spirit is in the Church. It's the same Spirit, but not in the Fullness like He received It. His disciples had been completely defeated on a epileptic case. And just before that He'd gave them power to cast out devils, to heal the sick, to raise the dead. And they were totally defeated on a epileptic case.
And the father said, "I brought him to Your--to Your disciples," and he said, "I... They could not cure him." And he said, "Lord, if thou can, have mercy on us."
Jesus said, "Bring him here. If you believe, I can."
And when the spirit saw that great power of God, they knowed that was more than a spoonful that they had found in the disciples. And the spirit was defeated, of course. It threw the boy in the hardest fit he ever had perhaps, and wallowed on the ground. But yet, when Jesus said, "Take him up. Give him some food; he's all right."...
Now, in the 1st chapter we find that there was a man who got converted and went and got his friend, his brother Peter, Andrew. And when Peter came up to the Lord Jesus... Follow close, Saint John 1. When Peter came to Jesus, Jesus not only knew him, but knew who his father was. Jesus said, "You are Simon, but you shall be called Peter." That's little stone." And said, "Your father's name is Jonas." That's what the Scripture says. He knew Peter, knew his name, and knew his father's name.

E-26 Qu’arriverait-il ce soir? Comment le monde considérerait-il cela? Tirez donc votre conclusion. Que penserait le monde ce soir si quelque chose du genre se produisait? Juste la même chose qu’eux pensaient alors: la télépathie, ou quelque chose comme cela. Puis, il y eut un homme du nom de Philippe, quelques lignes plus bas. Il fut converti, il partit aussi (Il venait de la même ville que l’autre, que Pierre et son frère André), il contourna la montagne et trouva un bon ami du nom de–de Philippe, ou plutôt de Nathanaël. Il trouva Nathanaël. Et Nathanaël, il le trouva sous un arbre, peut-être en train de prier, à son arrivée. Et remarquez, quand il s’est relevé de ses genoux, je peux entendre Nathanaël lui dire, ou plutôt Philippe dire à Nathanaël: «Viens voir Qui nous avons trouvé.»
Il y a bien quelque chose à ce sujet. Si quelqu’un de vraiment converti a trouvé quelque chose de réel et qu’il a été converti à cela, il ne peut pas garder ça pour lui-même. Il doit en parler à quelqu’un d’autre.
| E-26 What would that take place tonight? What would the world consider it to be? Just draw an opinion. What would the world think tonight if something like that took place? Just the same as they did then: a telepathy or something.
Then there was one by the name of Philip, the next few lines down. He got converted, so he goes over, and he was from the same city that the other, that Peter and his brother Andrew was from, and he goes around the mountain and finds a good friend by the name of--of Philip, or Nathanael. He found Nathanael.
And Nathanael, he found him under a tree, perhaps praying, when he came up. And notice, when he got up off of his knees, I can hear Nathanael say to him, or Philip rather, to Nathanael, "Come, see Who we have found."
There's just something about it. If a true conversion has found something real and has been converted to it, he can't keep it to himself. He's got to tell somebody else about it.

| E-27 And he knew this man was very orthodox in his belief, but he yet, he knew he was an honest man; and he wanted to get the message to him. He said, "Come, see Who we've found, Jesus of Nazareth, the Son of Joseph." In other words, the one the prophets spoke of. "We've found Him."
Now, could you imagine the shock to this orthodox believer. I can see him as he raises up and brushes the dust from his knees, and said, "Now, can there be any good thing come out of Nazareth?"
As they would say today, "Could there be any good thing amongst them holy-rollers? Could there be any good thing come out of such a group as that?"
And I think Philip give him the best answer that any man could give. He said, "Come and see." That's the most convincing thing. "Come and see."

E-28 Et en route vers l’autre côté, je peux les entendre alors qu’ils causaient. Et je peux l’entendre dire: «Tu sais quoi? Quand Pierre est allé vers Lui et qu’il Lui a parlé, Il lui a dit qui il était, Il lui a dit quel était le nom de son père. «Et, Nathanaël, viens seulement, vois toi-même.»
C’était donc quand notre Seigneur se tenait dans la ligne, peut-être, priant pour les malades, que Philippe s’est avancé avec Nathanaël. Et aussitôt que les yeux de notre Seigneur se sont posés sur lui, Il a dit: «Voici un Israélite dans lequel il n’y a point de fraude.»
| E-28 And on the road around I can hear them as they would be talking. And I can hear him say, "You know what? When Peter came up to Him and was talking to Him, He told him who he was, told him what his father's name was. Now, don't be surprised, because He might do the same thing to you."
I could imagine Nathanael saying, "Now, wait a minute. What kind of a deep end have you gone off on? What's happened to you? Do you expect me to believe such a thing as that?"
"And Nathanael, come on, just come, see for yourself."
So when our Lord was standing in the line, perhaps praying for the sick, and here comes Philip up with Nathanael. And as soon as the eyes of our Lord fell upon him, He said, "Behold, an Israelite in whom there is no guile."

Jésus a dit: «Avant que Philippe t’appelât, quand tu étais sous l’arbre, Je t’ai vu.» Combien savent que c’est scripturaire? Certainement. C’était Jésus hier. S’Il est le même aujourd’hui, Il doit agir de même.
Et, évidemment, il y avait là des incroyants en ce moment. Et Marc le rapporte. Et ces incroyants Juifs... Eh bien, qu’a dit Philippe, ou plutôt Nathanaël? Il a dit: «Rabbi, Tu es le Fils de Dieu.» Ils devaient être dans l’attente de quelque chose de semblable. «Tu es le Roi d’Israël.» Et Jésus a dit: «Parce que Je t’ai dit cela, tu crois? Tu verras alors de plus grandes choses que celle-ci.»
| E-29 Now, that was strange, because the Greeks and the Jews, they all dressed alike with robes and beard and sandals. How did He know he was a--a Jew? How did He know he was honest? And it astonished him. And his attitude represented the whole Jewish nation that ever believed.
He said, "Rabbi, when did You know me? This is our first time ever meeting. Why You never saw me. You know nothing about me. And how could You know that I was an honest and just man?"
Jesus said, "Before Philip called you, when you were under the tree, I saw you."
How many knows that's Scriptural? Certainly it is. That was Jesus yesterday. If He's the same today, He's got to do the same.
And, of course there was unbelievers standing at the time. And we have the record of Mark. And those unbelieving Jews... Now, what did Philip say, or Nathanael, rather? He said, "Rabbi, Thou art the Son of God." They must've been looking for something like that. "Thou art the King of Israel."
And Jesus said, "Because I told you that, you believe? Then you can see greater things than this."

E-30 Mais qu’ont dit les incroyants après que ces oeuvres eurent été accomplies? Mais Jésus a connu leurs pensées. C’est ce que déclarent les Ecritures. Qu’a-t-Il dit à ce groupe de Juifs qui ont eu de telles pensées? Il a dit: «Vous dites cela contre le Fils de l’homme, cela vous sera pardonné.» Mais écoutez attentivement: «Quand le Saint-Esprit sera venu (en d’autres termes, faire la même chose), un seul mot contre cela ne sera jamais pardonné, ni dans ce siècle, ni dans le siècle à venir.» Combien savent que c’est ce que déclarent les Ecritures? C’est vrai.
Il y a eu un croyant qui a accepté cela. Son nom est immortel ce soir. Il y a eu des incroyants qui ont douté de cela, et vous savez ce qui leur est arrivé. Eh bien, si c’était là l’attitude de Jésus hier, ça devra être la même attitude aujourd’hui, et ça devra être la même attitude éternellement. Eh bien, Il n’a pas... Ils ont cru à partir de cela. Maintenant, suivez. C’est exactement ainsi qu’Il s’était présenté aux Juifs.
| E-30 But what did the unbeliever say when these things were done? They were ashamed to speak it right out by their--with their own mouth, but in their heart they said, "He's Beelzebub. He..." And a Beelzebub was the prince of the devils, like a fortuneteller. And anyone knows that fortunetelling's of the devil.
So he said, "He is a Beelzebub." And they didn't say it out loud.
But Jesus perceived their thoughts. It's what the Scripture said. What did He say to that group of Jews that thought that? Said, "Speak that against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven you." But listen close, "When the Holy Ghost is come," in other wise to do the same thing, "one word against it will never be forgiven in this world or the world to come." How many knows the Scripture says that? It's true.
There was a believer accepted it. His name's immortal tonight. There was the unbeliever who disbelieved it, and you know what happened to them. Now, if that was Jesus attitude yesterday, today it'd have to be the same, and forever it'll have to be the same. Now, He didn't... By that they believed. Now, watch. That's exactly how He introduced Himself to the Jewish people.

E-31 Dans Saint Jean, chapitre 4; maintenant, ça, c’est 1. Allons à 4 juste pour un instant. Il fallait qu’Il passât par la Samarie, alors qu’Il était en route vers Jéricho. Si jamais vous avez été en Orient et que vous voyez comment elles viennent au puits... Et Il a dit: «Femme, apporte-Moi à boire.»
Eh bien, à l’époque il y avait une ségrégation entre les Juifs et les Samaritains. Et elle a dit: «Eh bien, il n’est pas de coutume que vous les Juifs, vous demandiez pareille chose aux Samaritains.» Elle a dit: «Nous n’avons pas de relations entre nous.»
Il a dit: «Mais si tu connaissais Celui à qui tu parlais, c’est toi qui M’aurais demandé à boire. Et Je t’aurais donné de l’eau que tu ne viendrais pas puiser ici.»
| E-31 In Saint John the 4th chapter now, that's one. Let's go to 4 just for a moment. He had need to go by Samaria when He was on His road down to Jericho. Jerusalem's on a mountain. Jericho's in a valley. But He went up around Samaria. Why? He had need. He sent His disciples away to buy vittles.
And while they were gone, no doubt a beautiful looking young Samaritan woman came out to get some water. Well, it might've been because she had been out all night or something, but she just come out at that time.
And the little panoramic, something like this here maybe, the vines growing around it. Jesus looked at her as He was setting over against the wall. If you ever been in the orients and see how they come to the well... And He said, "Woman, bring Me a drink."
Why, there was segregation in them days between the Jews and Samaritans. And she said, "Why, that's not customary for a Jew to ask Samaritans such a thing." Said, "We have no dealings with one another."
And He said, "But if you knew Who you were talking to, you'd ask Me for a drink. And I'd bring you water that you don't come here to draw."

E-32 La conversation s’est poursuivie. Eh bien, vous aurez à me croire sur parole là-dessus, si vous le voulez. Il contactait son esprit. Le Père L’avait envoyé là-bas. Il y avait là une femme, mais Il ne connaissait pas son problème. La conversation s’est donc longtemps poursuivie sur l’adoration sur la montagne et autres à Jérusalem. Peu après, Il a découvert son problème. Et Il a dit: «Va, appelle ton mari, et viens ici.» C’était là son problème.
Elle a dit: «Seigneur, je n’ai point de mari.»
Il a dit: «C’est exact. Tu en as eu cinq, et celui avec qui tu vis maintenant n’est pas ton mari. Tu as dit vrai.»
Observez cette femme. Ce n’est donc pas là une Juive; c’est une Samaritaine. Elle L’a regardé, et elle a dit: «Seigneur, je vois que Tu es Prophète. Nous savons que quand le Messie sera venu, Il nous annoncera toutes choses.»
Il a dit: «Je Le suis Moi, qui te parle.» Observez ce qu’ils attendaient. Ils attendaient ce signe-là qui était le signe du Messie. Jésus l’a fait devant les Juifs. Le vrai Juif a dit: «Tu es le Fils de Dieu.»
Et maintenant, observez la femme samaritaine. Elle a dit: «Eh bien, nous attendons que le Messie vienne faire cela, mais Toi, qui es-Tu?»
Il a dit: «Je Le suis, Moi qui te parle.» Elle a abandonné sa cruche d’eau, elle est entrée dans la ville en courant et a dit: «Venez voir un Homme qui m’a dit ce que j’ai fait. Ne serait-ce point le Messie?»
| E-32 The conversation went on. Now, you'll have to take my word for this, if you will. He was contacting her spirit. The Father had sent Him up there. There was a woman, but He didn't know what her trouble was. Then the conversation at length went on about worship within the mountain and some at Jerusalem.
After while He found where her trouble was. And He said, "Go, get your husband and come here." There was her trouble.
She said, "Sir, I don't have any husband."
He said, "That's right. You've got five, and the one that you have now is not your husband. You said well."
Watch the woman. This is not a Jew now; this is a Samaritan. She looked at Him. And she said, "Sir, I perceive that You are a prophet. We know when the Messiah cometh, He will tell us all things."
He said, "I'm He that speaks with you."
Watch what they were looking for. They were looking for that sign that was the sign of the Messiah. Jesus did it before the Jew. The true Jew said, "You're the Son of God."
And now, watch the Samaritan woman. She said, "Well, we're looking for the Messiah to come to do this, but Who are You?"
He said, "I'm He that speaks with you." She left her water pot and ran into the city, and said, "Come, see a Man that told me the things that I've done. Isn't this the Messiah?"

E-33 Si c’était là le Messie, ou le signe du Messie hier, ça doit être le signe du Messie aujourd’hui. Remarquez, à aucun moment cela n’a été accompli devant les Gentils. Non. C’est aujourd’hui le jour des Gentils. C’est aujourd’hui la fin de la dispensation des Gentils. Je ne suis pas tellement un dispensationaliste, mais la Bible en parle, que les Gentils sont arrivés à leur fin. On n’a pas à prendre la Bible pour cela, prenez simplement un journal, allumez votre radio, vous pouvez voir que nous sommes à la fin. Il n’y a pas d’espoir pour nous.
L’Eglise rentre bientôt à la Maison, et le monde va être réduit en poussière, exactement ce que Dieu avait dit devoir arriver. Il va le faire basculer directement hors de son orbite, là autour du soleil. Il brûlera cette fois-ci comme il était sorti de son orbite l’autrefois et fut détruit par l’eau. Nous sommes à la fin. Et nous les Gentils, nous allons çà et là avec tous nos diplômes et tout, pensant être quelqu’un, et nous ne savons pas que nos jours sont comptés.
| E-33 If that was Messiah, or the sign of Messiah yesterday, it'd have to be the sign of Messiah today. Notice, not one time was that did before the Gentile. No. This is the Gentile's day. This is the ending of the Gentile dispensation.
I'm not much of a dispensationalist, but the Bible speaks of it, that the Gentiles have come to their end. And anyone that don't have to pick up the Bible, just get a newspaper, turn on your radio. You can see where we're at the end. There's no hopes for us.
The Church is going home soon, and the world's going to dust again, just exactly what God said would take place. She'll rock her right in there, out of its orbit down there around the sun. She'll burn this time like she went out away from the orbit the other time and was destroyed with water. We're at the end. And we Gentile people's walking around with all of our degrees and everything, and thinking we're somebody, and don't know that our days are numbered.

E-34 Et le Messie, le Fils du Dieu vivant, est apparu à l’Eglise des Gentils pendant les quelques dernières années, trente ou quarante ans, avec un grand remplissage, une fois de plus, du Saint-Esprit; et un réveil a balayé le monde, Il s’est manifesté dans la même mesure, avec la même puissance et le même Esprit qu’Il avait quand Il était sur terre; et nous secouons continuellement la tête et nous nous en éloignons. Que reste-t-il sinon le jugement? La miséricorde précède toujours le jugement. Il faut que la miséricorde nous soit premièrement accordée, et si nous la rejetons, il ne reste que le jugement. C’est nous-mêmes qui nous l’attirons sur nous. C’était là le Messie hier.
| E-34 And the Messiah, the Son of the living God has appeared to the Gentile church in the last few years thirty or forty years in the great filling up again of the Holy Spirit; and a revival has swept the world around, and declaring Himself in the same measure and power and Spirit that He did when He was here on earth; and continually we shake our heads and walk away from it. What's left but judgment?
Mercy always calls before judgment. We must have mercy give to us first, and if we spurn mercy, there's nothing left but judgment. We bring it on ourselves. That was Messiah yesterday.

E-35 Nous voyons qu’il y eut une femme à un lieu qui...?... ce grand groupe de gens après qu’Il eut traversé la–la mer cette nuit, qu’Il eut arrêté l’orage. Il y eut une femme qui avait souffert d’une perte de sang depuis plusieurs années. Elle descendait directement le long du rivage de l’océan, car elle se disait: «Si seulement je touche le bord de Son vêtement, je serai guérie.»
Excusez-moi, je n’ai pas l’intention de vous casser les oreilles. Ceci... donc, je... je ne sais pas qui contrôle cela. Elle a touché le bord de Son vêtement. Elle croyait réellement. Et elle a traversé la foule là, elle a touché Son vêtement. Elle est entrée dans la foule, peut-être de la dimension de celle-ci. Et après qu’elle fut rentrée dans la foule, Jésus s’est arrêté et a dit: «Qui M’a touché?» Et Pierre, le reprenant, a dit: «Seigneur, eh bien, tout le monde Te touche.»
Il a dit: «Mais J’ai connu que Je suis devenu faible.» Ou, la version King James dit: «Je... la vertu...» La vertu est sortie de Lui, ce qui veut dire la force, cela L’a affaibli. «J’ai connu que Je suis devenu faible. La vertu est sortie de Moi.» Il a promené le regard. Qu’était-ce? La femme avait touché Dieu. Il a regardé tout autour jusqu’à la repérer là, debout, ou assise là dans l’assistance. Il l’a désignée, que sa foi l’avait guérie.
| E-35 We see one place there is a woman that...?... great bunch of people after He'd crossed the--the sea through the night, stopped the storms. There was a woman who had a blood issue for several years. And she'd slipped down by the ocean side for she said within herself, "If I'll just touch the border of His garment, I'll be made well."
Excuse me, I don't mean to yell at you. This--I just, ever who's controlling it...
They touched the border of His garment. She really believed. And here she come through the crowd, and she touched His garment. And she went back out into the crowd of people, perhaps of this size. And when she went back out into the crowd, Jesus stopped and said, "Who touched Me?"
And Peter, rebuking Him, said, "Lord, well everybody's touching You."
He said, "But I perceive that I've got weak." Or the King James said, "I... Virtue..." Virtue went out of Him, which means strength that made Him weak.
"I perceive that I have gotten weak. Virtue has gone from Me." He looked around. What was it? The woman had touched God. And He looked until He found her standing or sitting back in the audience, and described to her, that her faith had made her well.

E-36 Ce Jésus-là est toujours vivant ce soir, s’Il est le même hier, aujourd’hui et éternellement, sinon Il était en erreur dans Ses déclarations, quand Il a dit: «Vous ferez aussi les oeuvres que Je fais.»
Vous direz: «Frère Branham, est-ce que le Nouveau Testament dit cela?» Absolument. Le Nouveau Testament dit: «Il est le Souverain Sacrificateur qui peut être touché par les sentiments de nos infirmités.» Comment saurez-vous que vous L’avez touché s’Il ne réagissait pas? Comment opère-t-Il? Par les sarments. De même qu’Il avait opéré par le Cep principal à l’époque, Il opère par les sarments, Son Eglise, aujourd’hui. Il a dans l’Eglise beaucoup de grands dons, qu’Il a établis pour prendre soin de Celle-ci. Certainement. Il nous révèle les secrets, Il nous donne Sa–Sa sagesse, nous disant quoi faire et comment le faire.
Dieu n’est pas une déclaration d’une espèce de credo, comme les religions musulmane et bouddhiste. Dieu est un Dieu vivant qui n’est pas mort, mais Il est vivant ce soir, tout aussi vivant qu’autrefois lorsqu’Il marchait en Galilée. C’est comme ça qu’Il vit dans Son Eglise. Et s’Il n’agit pas de même, alors vous avez la mauvaise chose. Car la Bible déclare: «Il est le même. Et vous ferez aussi les oeuvres que Je fais.»
| E-36 That Jesus still lives tonight, if He's the same yesterday, today, and forever, or He's wrong in His words, in His speaking. "The works that I do shall you also."
You say, "Brother Branham, does the New Testament say that?" Absolutely. The New Testament said, "He is a High Priest that can be touched by the feeling of our infirmities." How would you know you've touched Him if He didn't turn?
How does He work? Through the branches. As He did through the main Vine then, He works through the branches, His Church today. He's got many great gifts in the church that He sets in order to take care of this. Certainly. Reveals the secrets to us, and drops down His--His wisdom to us, telling us what to do and how to do it.
God is not a declaration of some sort of a creed, like a Mohammedan or a Buddha religion. God is a living God Who isn't dead, but is alive tonight, just as alive as He was when He walked Galilee. Like He lives in His Church. And if He doesn't act the same, then you've the wrong thing. For the Bible said, "He is the same. And the works that I do shall you also."

Voyez-vous, Dieu a toujours eu une source de guérison divine, dans tous les âges. Et Il envoyait dans cette piscine un ange qui agitait l’eau. Beaucoup de gens étaient considérés comme des fanatiques. Des historiens nous rapportent qu’ils se donnaient des coups, en cherchant à se jeter dans cette eau aussitôt qu’elle était agitée. Pendant que des critiqueurs disaient...?... entrer dans l’eau, mais c’était un effet retour du vent qui soufflait sur l’eau après avoir cogné contre le mur. Si jamais vous y entrez, dans une piscine...?... Ce vieil endroit est toujours là. Eux, ils disaient: «C’est juste un tourbillon.»
Mais pour ceux qui croyaient, c’était un ange. Et la Bible dit que c’était un ange. Donc, ils n’étaient pas en erreur après tout. Mais ils y entraient, et le premier à y entrer avec foi était guéri.
| E-37 Now, notice Him one more time. He passes down through a great... In Saint John 5, the next chapter. Saint John 5, He passes through a great multitude of people, right after this miracle had been performed, His garments full of virtue. He walked among many times more people perhaps that's setting here tonight. People that were called, I guess, fanatics, because they believed that God sent an Angel.
Do you see, God has always had some resource for Divine healing, all the ages through. And He sent a Angel to this pool, and troubled the water. Many people were considered fanatics. Historians tell us that they stabbed one another trying to get in that water when it was troubled.
While people who were critical said...?... step in the water, but the wind hits the wall and blows the water back. You ever walk down into it, a pool...?... The old place is still there. And said, "It's just a changing of the wind."
But to those who believed, it was an Angel. And the Bible declares it to be an Angel. So they wasn't wrong after all. But they'd step in, and the first one with faith, stepping in would get healed.

Eh bien, je ne sais pas si vous les gens du nord vous connaissez ce que c’est un grabat ou pas. J’ai grandi sur un. Combien savent ce que c’est un grabat? Eh bien, de quelle partie du Kentucky venez-vous tous? Un grabat. Oh! Etaler à la porte un vieil oreiller en paille. Je ne sais pas si vous savez ce que c’est ou pas, une vieille couverture matelassée remplie de pailles, et étaler sur un grabat.
| E-38 And there look what the Bible said. They were lame, blind, halt, withered. Such a condition of mass humanity, suffering. Old mother standing there, blind. "Oh, won't somebody help me into the water." I've got little children at home." And another one standing with a big water head baby, an old dad standing, screaming for help... And Jesus walked right by. And He never said a word to any of them. But He went till He found the man that He was looking for. Did you notice the Bible? It said, "For he knew he had been this way a long time. "I do nothing till the Father shows Me." He found this man laying on a pallet.
Now, I don't know whether you northerners know what a pallet is or not. I was raised on one. How many know what a pallet is? Well, what part of Kentucky you all from? A pallet. Oh, to lay at the door on a straw pillow. I don't know if you know what that is or not. An old tick stuffed full of straw, and lay on a pallet.

Il pouvait marcher. Il pouvait voir. Il pouvait parler. Il pouvait manger. Mais c’est étrange que le Fils de Dieu ait dépassé tous les autres et soit allé vers lui. Oh! Il était tellement soumis au Père! «Je ne fais rien de Moi-même.» Remarquez. Et quand Il a dit à cet homme: «Veux-tu être guéri?»
Il a dit: «Je n’ai personne pour m’aider à entrer dans l’eau.»
Il a dit: «Prends ton lit, et va dans ta maison.»
| E-39 And this man had been laying on a pallet. He had might've had a prostate trouble. He might have had TB. It was retarded. He'd had it thirty-eight years. It wasn't going to kill him. And he wasn't blind. And he wasn't helpless. He said, "When I'm coming to the water, somebody beats me there. Somebody can run faster than me. And I've been there all these years."
He could walk. He could see. He could talk. He could eat. But it's strange that the Son of God walked around every one of those people and went to him. Oh, He was so submissive to the Father. "That I do nothing in Myself."
Notice. And as He said to this man, "Wilt thou be made whole?"
He said, "I have no one to help me to the water."
He said, "Take up your bed and go into your house."

E-40 Au verset 19, Jésus fut interrogé. Et voici la réponse du Fils de Dieu à ces Juifs: «En vérité, en vérité, Je vous le dis, le Fils ne peut rien faire de Lui-même, mais ce qu’Il voit faire au Père, le Fils aussi le fait pareillement.» Est-ce vrai? «Je ne peux rien faire de Moi-même tant que le Père ne Me le montre pas. Le Père agit jusqu’à présent, Moi aussi, J’agis.» Voyez? Jésus n’a jamais accompli un miracle sans que Dieu le Lui ait montré premièrement, sinon Il a dit quelque chose de faux. Et Il ne pouvait rien dire de faux, car Il était Dieu.
Et par conséquent, Jésus a dit ceci: «Vous ferez aussi les oeuvres que Je fais. Encore un peu de temps, et le monde ne Me verra plus, mais vous, vous Me verrez, car Je serai avec vous.» Et Je, une fois de plus, c’est un pronom, ou un pronom personnel. «...?... serai avec vous.» Et dans un passage, Il a dit: «... même en vous jusqu’à la fin du monde.»
Donc si Christ est venu... Si le temps... Vous direz: «Frère Branham, au cours de l’âge.» C’est vrai. Vous ne trouverez cela nulle part dans l’histoire depuis l’époque des apôtres. Pourquoi? C’était le dernier round du Message aux gens des nations.
| E-40 The 19th verse He was questioned. And here's the answer of the Son of God to those Jews. "Verily, verily, I say unto you, the Son can do nothing in Himself, but what He sees the Father doing; that doeth the Son likewise." Is that right? "I can do nothing in Myself until the Father shows Me. The Father worketh and I worketh hitherto." See? Jesus never performed one miracle without God first showing Him, or He told something wrong. And He couldn't tell nothing wrong, because He was God.
And therefore, Jesus said these things: "The works that I do shall you also. A little while and the world sees Me no more, yet ye shall see Me, for I will be with you." And "I" again is a pronoun, or a personal pronoun...?... be with you. In one place He said, "Even in you to the end of the world..."
Then if Christ has come... If time... You say, "Brother Branham, through the age." That's right. Nowhere you find it in history since the days of the apostles. Why? This is the last winding up of the message to the Gentiles.

E-41 Nous avons eu la réforme avec Luther, et jusque dans l’âge méthodiste, l’âge baptiste, et jusque dans l’âge pentecôtiste, et c’est pratiquement fini aussi présentement. C’est donc la fin de l’âge. Et Christ a promis de faire cela. Et s’Il ne faisait pas cela, c’est qu’Il avait donc fait quelque chose pour les autres qu’Il ne peut pas faire pour nous.
Comme je l’ai souvent dit, si cette génération, si cette Amérique hautaine, dont nous sommes tous citoyens, si l’Amérique échappe au jugement de Dieu, Dieu aura à ressusciter Sodome et Gomorrhe et leur présenter des excuses (C’est vrai) pour les avoir consumées. Il est un Dieu juste. Il est un Dieu honnête. Et Il traite tous Ses enfants de la même façon, car ils sont tous des créatures de Sa création.
Et voici la fin de l’âge des Gentils. Nous sommes à la fin: Christ se manifestant exactement comme Il l’avait fait autrefois, prouvant qu’Il est vivant, prouvant qu’Il n’est pas mort, mais qu’Il est vivant aux siècles des siècles, pour se manifester dans des vases au travers desquels Il peut opérer.
| E-41 We've had the reformation through Luther, and down through the Methodist age, and through the Baptist age, and into the Pentecostal age, and it's about gone now too. So it is the end of the age. And Christ promised to do it. And if He would not do it, then He done something for them that He wouldn't do for us.
As I've often said, if this generation of people, if this haughty America, as we all are citizens, if America escapes the judgment of God, He will have to raise Sodom and Gomorrah and apologize to them (That's right) for burning them up. He's a just God. He's an honest God. And He deals with His children all alike, for they're all creatures of His creation.
And here it is at the end of the Gentile age. We're at the end: Christ manifesting Himself just as He did then, proving to be alive, proving that He hasn't died, but He's alive forevermore to manifest Hisself in vessels that He can work through.

E-42 Peu importe ce qu’Il peut faire ici à l’estrade, si vos yeux sont aveuglés à cela... S’Il ressuscite les morts ici à cette estrade et que vous n’avez pas un coeur ouvert à cela, vous ne croirez pas cela. Vous trouverez une échappatoire. Vous diriez: «Oh! Eh bien...» C’est comme les Juifs de l’époque: «Oh! C’est une espèce de supercherie, ou c’est une télépathie, ou peut-être que ce–c’est du spiritisme, ou quelque chose comme cela.» C’est ce qu’ils avaient dit.
Ne voyez-vous pas, Dieu retire Son homme, mais jamais Son Esprit. L’Esprit qui était sur Elie est venu sur Elisée, et ensuite sur Jean-Baptiste. Et souvent, ces Esprits du Seigneur ne sont pas reconnus jusqu’à ce que celui qui L’a soit parti. Avez-vous déjà pensé à cela? Dieu est juste.
Prenons juste une minute, considérons les prophètes d’autrefois. On n’avait pas reconnu cela. Et à vous qui êtes ici ce soir, reconnaissez. Ô Dieu, ouvre les yeux de leur entendement! Nous sommes au temps de la fin.
Les gens n’avaient pas reconnu qui Jean-Baptiste était jusqu’après sa mort et son ensevelissement. Même les disciples disaient: «Pourquoi les prophètes disent-ils qu’Elie doit premièrement venir?» Jésus a dit: «Il est déjà venu et vous ne l’avez pas reconnu.» Ils ont alors su qu’Il parlait de Jean.
| E-42 No matter what He'd do here at the platform, if your eyes are blinded to it... If He would raise the dead on this platform, and you didn't have an open heart to it, you wouldn't believe it. You'd find a way to escape. You'd say, "Oh, well," it's like the Jews back there, "Oh, it's some sort of a trick, or it's a telepathy, or maybe it--it's a spiritualist, or something like that." That's what they said.
Don't you see, God takes His man, but never His Spirit. The Spirit was upon Elijah, come upon Elisha, on on John the Baptist. And many times those Spirits of the Lord is not known until the one who has it is gone. Did you ever think of that? God's just.
Let's take just a minute, take the prophets in the days gone by. They didn't recognize it. And to you people here tonight, recognize. Oh, God, open their eyes of understanding. We're at the end time.
They didn't know who John the Baptist was until he was dead and buried. Even the disciples said, "Why does the prophets say that first Elijah must come?"
Jesus said, "He's already come and you didn't know him." Then they knowed that He spoke of John.

E-43 Ils n’ont reconnu qui Jésus était qu’après Sa mort, Son ensevelissement et Sa résurrection; avant qu’ils reconnaissent qui Il était. Ils n’ont reconnu qui saint Patrick était qu’après sa mort, son ensevelissement, pratiquement deux cents ans après; saint François d’Assise, pareil.
A vous les catholiques, vous n’avez pas reconnu qui Jeanne d’Arc était, cette petite femme qui avait des visions et qui était une femme spirituelle. L’Eglise catholique l’a brûlée au bûcher comme une sorcière. Et deux cents ans plus tard, ou des années plus tard, vous avez déterré son co-... vous avez déterré les corps des prêtres et vous les avez jetés dans la rivière pour faire pénitence, après qu’ils ont reconnu qu’elle était une sainte.
L’Esprit du Dieu vivant se meut sur toute la terre aujourd’hui, et les gens ne reconnaissent pas ce que C’est. Mais Dieu est juste. Il envoie Son Esprit annoncer quelque chose. Nous restons empesés, des coeurs endurcis, indifférents. Puis, que nous reste-t-il sinon le jugement? Christ est tenu vis-à-vis de Sa Parole, pas au-delà de Sa Parole. Il est tenu vis-à-vis de Sa Parole.
| E-43 They didn't know Who Jesus was till He was dead, buried, and rose again, fore they knew Who He was. They didn't know who Saint Patrick was until he was dead and buried two hundred years nearly, neither Saint Francis of Assisi.
And to you Catholic people, you didn't know who Joan of Arc was, that little woman that saw visions and was a spiritual woman. The Catholic church burned her to a stake like as a witch. And two hundred years later, or years later, dug her bo--dug up them priests body and throwed them in the river to do a penance, after they realized that she was a saint.
And the Spirit of the living God is moving over the whole earth today, and people don't know what It is. But God is just. He sends forth His Spirit to declare something. We set starchy and harden up our hearts, be indifferent. Then what's left for us but judgment? Christ is under obligation to His Word, but no more than His Word. He's obligated to His Word.

Sur base de la Parole de Dieu, nous savons que Christ s’est fait connaître aux Juifs en disant à Nathanaël où il avait été avant de venir à la réunion. Est-ce vrai? Il s’est fait connaître aux Juifs, de diverses autres manières, par Son vêtement qu’on touchait et tout. Chaque fois, c’était par le surnaturel. Mais le surnaturel, c’est toujours conforme à la Parole. Je sais que je suis ici à l’estrade ce soir avec deux véritables érudits derrière moi, que je connais, trois d’entre eux. Et je pense qu’il y a plus que cela là dans l’assistance. Mais j’aimerais vous poser une question.
Dans l’Ancien Testament, on avait un moyen de savoir si ce qu’un prophète, ou celui qui avait des songes, racontait était vrai ou pas. C’était l’Urim et le Thummim. Et nous croyons que c’était le pectoral d’Aaron. Et quand un prophète prophétisait, si ce conglomérat de lumières s’unissait pour former une grande lumière, le prophète disait la vérité. Si cela ne marchait pas, le prophète ne disait donc pas la vérité.
| E-44 Now, I see the time's getting away. Not too long each night... I'd like to ask you something. Upon the basis of God's Word, we realize that Christ made Hisself known to the Jews by telling Nathanael where he was before he came to the meeting? Is that right? Made Hisself known to the Jews many other ways, by them touching His garment and so forth. Always in a supernatural. But the supernatural is always with the Word.
I realize that I'm standing on the platform here tonight and two real scholars behind me that I know of, three of them. And I'd guess there's more than that out there. But I want to ask you something.
In the Old Testament they had a way of knowing whether a prophet told the truth or not, or a dreamer. That was on the Urim Thummim. And we believe that that was the breastplate of Aaron.
And when the prophet was prophesying, if those conglomerations of those lights work together and made that big glorious light, the prophet was telling the truth. If it didn't work, then the prophet wasn't telling the truth.

E-45 Or, ce sacerdoce a pris fin, le sacerdoce d’Aaron est terminé. Nous avons un nouveau sacerdoce. Nous avons un nouvel Urim et Thummim, et c’est la Parole de Dieu. Si un homme dit la vérité, les lumières refléteront cela, par la puissance de la Parole de Dieu, que c’est la vérité.
Et comment était-ce? C’était un reflet surnaturel. Comment un homme, en parlant, faisait que ces... toutes ces diverses pierres émettaient les couleurs de l’arc-en-ciel? Comment cela se faisait-il uniquement lorsqu’un prophète prophétisait? S’il était en erreur, cela restait au repos. Ses paroles n’avaient pas une réaction. Mais s’il était dans le vrai, le... cela reconnaissait, cela manifestait un signe surnaturel par lequel les gens reconnaissaient que ce prophète disait la vérité. Si la Parole de Dieu prophétise quelque chose, et que Dieu accomplit le surnaturel et prouve que c’est la vérité, c’est l’Urim et le Thummim, amis. C’est le temps de recevoir cela et de croire en Dieu.
| E-45 Now, that priesthood ceased, and the Aaronic priesthood is gone. We have a new priesthood. We have a new Urim Thummim and that's God's Word. If a man tells the truth, the lights in the power of God's Word will reflect it that it's the truth.
And how was it? It was a supernatural reflection. How would a man talking make those, all those different stones send forth that rainbow color? How would it do it only when a prophet was prophesying? If he was false, it'd stay dormant. His words didn't come back. But if he was true, the--it recognized and sent forth a supernatural sign that the people would know that that prophet was telling the truth.
If God's Word prophesies something, and God takes the supernatural and proves that it's the truth, it's a Urim Thummim, people. Time to receive it and believe God.

Mais nous les Américains, nous disons: «Eh bien, là, ça peut être quelque chose de faux. Je me demande bien si docteur Philippe Jones, ou je ne sais qui, vous savez... Vous savez qu’il dit que ceci, c’est une grande télépathie.» Oh! Ami, ouvrez votre coeur. Priez et dites: «Dieu», vous là dans la réunion, dites: «Dieu...?... fais-moi savoir, Seigneur. Laisse-moi jouir de Tes miséricordes en ce dernier jour.»

When I did it one time in Africa, I saw thirty thousand raw heathens break their idols on the ground and receive Christ as Saviour. Thirty thousand one call--one--one altar call, thirty thousand tagged raw heathens with idols in their hands...
But we Americans, we say, "Well, there, that could be something wrong. I just wonder if Dr. Philip Jones or whatever, you know... You know he tells that this is a lot of telepathy." Oh, friend open your heart. Pray and say, "God," you out there in the meeting, say, "God...?... Let me know, Lord. Let me enjoy Your mercies in this last day."
For we're at the end time. The handwriting's on the wall, notice in the sky with a sputnik. See? We--we know that the world's really shook up now. And anything can happen. And what did Jesus say? "There'll be signs in the heavens and on earth." Jesus said, "When the Son of man reveals Himself." He is now in mercy to the church, and in judgment to the world for rejecting. Now, let us pray.

E-48 Seigneur Jésus, d’une manière ou d’une autre, je–j’attends impatiemment, Seigneur, quelque chose de réel ce soir. Oh! Ce serait vraiment une chose merveilleuse ici ce soir, si seulement Tu Te révélais, Seigneur, à ces gens et à chaque coeur qui s’ouvrirait.
Qu’ils sachent, Seigneur, que Ton serviteur, un très pauvre, et je suis très peu qualifié pour le travail, mais, Seigneur, qui est qualifié? Quel être mortel serait-ce? Quelle créature du temps? Mais, Seigneur, ce n’est pas nous, c’est le Saint-Esprit qui fait ces oeuvres, pour se manifester.
Maintenant, Seigneur, il y en a beaucoup qui sont assis ici ce soir dans cette église, assis, pendant que je me tiens ici à cette chaire, où un grand homme a prêché, où des voix fortes ont été portées au travers de ces microphones, beaucoup avaient prédit ces heures de Sa Venue. Et je Te prie, Seigneur, d’envoyer Jésus ce soir avec une si grande effusion qu’il n’y aura aucune personne qui reste faible parmi nous, que des pécheurs pourront venir à Christ, et des estropiés pourront marcher, et des aveugles voir, des malades être guéris, que demain, toute cette ville se transformera en un grand lieu de témoignages, que le Fils de Dieu a pu leur être révélé en ce jour-ci. Accorde-le, Seigneur.
Bénis-nous ensemble. Ôte toute incrédulité maintenant. Chasse tout ce qui est contraire. Brise l’esprit de l’ennemi. Et tire gloire pour Toi-même. Car nous le demandons au Nom du Seigneur Jésus. Amen.
| E-48 Lord Jesus, somehow I--I'm looking forward, Lord, to something real tonight. Oh, it'll be such a wonderful thing here tonight if You would just unfold Yourself, Lord, to these people and every heart would be open.
And let them know, Lord, that Your servant, a very poor, and I'm very unqualified for the job, but, Lord, who is qualified. What mortal being would there be, what creature of time? But, Lord, and it would not be us, it would be the Holy Spirit to do those things, to manifest.
Now, Lord, there are many setting here tonight in this church, setting, standing here in this pulpit where great man has preached, and great voices has been carried through these microphones, many have predicted this hours of His coming.
And I pray, Lord, that You would send Jesus tonight with such a great outpouring, that there will be not one feeble person left in our midst, and sinners may come to Christ, and that cripples may walk, and blind see, and sick be healed, that tomorrow this whole city will become a great place of testimony, that the Son of God might be revealed to them in this day. Grant it, Lord.
Bless us together. Shut off all unbelief now. Drive out everything that's contrary. Break the spirit of the enemy. And get glory to Thyself. For we ask it in the Name of the Lord Jesus. Amen.

E-49 Chaque jour, on–on vient pour avoir quelqu’un ici devant moi, pour commencer. Il ne m’a jamais donc fait défaut. Il peut ne pas faire cela ce soir. Je ne sais pas. En effet, c’est juste un don. Combien croient que les dons et les appels sont sans repentir? Croyez-vous cela?La Bible dit-Elle qu’il y a dans l’Eglise premièrement des apôtres, des prophètes, des évangélistes, des docteurs et des pasteurs? Combien savent qu’il y a cinq dons de ministère? Certainement. Un apôtre, un prophète, un évangéliste, un docteur et un pasteur. C’est Dieu qui les établit. Puis, il y a–il y a neuf dons spirituels qui opèrent dans le corps, tels que le parler en langues, l’interprétation des langues, la sagesse, et–et neuf différents dons spirituels. 1 Corinthiens 12, là, présente neuf dons. Il peut être sur telle personne ce soir, sur telle autre demain soir, et sur l’autre le soir suivant, dans toute la salle. C’est juste pour le corps local.
| E-49 Each day they--they come down just in order to get somebody here before me, to get started. Now, He's never failed me. He might not do it tonight. I don't know. Because it's just a gift. And how many believes that gifts and callings are without repentance? Do you believe that?
Does the Bible say, that in the church there's first apostles, prophets, evangelists, teachers, pastors? How many knows there's five ministering gifts? Certainly there is. An apostle, a prophet, an evangelist, a teacher, and a pastor. God set these.
Then there's--there's nine spiritual gifts that goes into the body, such as speaking with tongues, interpretation of tongue, and wisdom, and--and different of nine spiritual gifts. I Corinthians 12 there that sets the nine gifts. They might be on this person tonight, and on that one tomorrow night, and that one the next night, and all over the building. That's just for the local body.

E-50 Mais Dieu par prescience... Nous n’aimerions pas utiliser le mot prédestination. C’est un mot qui n’est pas bon à être utilisé devant les gens. Mais Dieu, par prescience, peut prédestiner. Dieu est infini. Le croyez-vous? Et Il savait tout ce qui serait sur terre avant qu’Il ait créé cela. Croyez-vous cela? S’Il ne le savait pas, Il ne pouvait pas annoncer la fin depuis le commencement.
Il connaît toutes choses. C’est pourquoi Il pouvait aimer Jacob et haïr Esaü avant que tous les deux naissent. Il ne veut pas qu’aucun périsse. Absolument pas. Mais Sa prescience Lui fait savoir qui périrait de toute façon. Ainsi a-t-Il pu tout prédestiner pour que ça concoure pour Sa gloire.
Maintenant, quant à amener les gens ici devant moi, ici ce soir pour voir si la ligne de prière commence... Chaque soir donc, nous avons eu... nous distribuons des cartes de prière. Les cartes de prière, c’est une petite carte qui porte un numéro. C’est pour mettre les gens en ligne.
| E-50 But God by foreordination... We don't want to call the word predestination. It's a bad word to use before the people. But God, by foreknowledge can predestinate: God is infinite. Do you believe that? And He knowed everything that would be on the earth 'fore He created it. You believe that? If He didn't, He couldn't tell the end from the beginning.
He knows all things. Therefore He could love Jacob and hate Esau before either one were born. He's not willing that any should perish. No, sir. But His foreknowledge let Him know that they would perish anyhow, so He could predestinate everything to work to His glory.
Now, to get the people here to me, up here tonight to see if the prayer line gets started... Each night now, we've had... we've give out prayer cards. The prayer cards, it's a little card with a number on it. That's to get the people lined up.

E-51 Au début, tout au début de mon ministère... Combien se rappellent, il y a des années, tout au début, lorsque j’ai commencé il y a environ dix ans? Y aurait-il quelqu’un ici? Combien savent que je disais qu’Il m’avait dit que je connaîtrais même les secrets de leur coeur si j’étais sincère? Les mêmes personnes lèvent la main si cela avait été dit. Eh bien, il se peut que vous n’ayez jamais vu cela.
Mais écoutez. Il y a un autre mouvement en cours maintenant, il dépassera celui-ci. Or, je crois que cela aura lieu bientôt. Eh bien, l’Eglise de Dieu continue à monter. Quand l’ennemi vient comme un fleuve, l’Esprit de Dieu s’élève comme un étendard contre cela. C’est vrai.
| E-51 First when I first started in the ministry... How many remembers years ago when I first started about ten years ago? Would there be anybody here? Well, look at the hands. All right. The way I do the people then would take them by the hand, just hold it till something spoke to me to tell... How many knows that?
How many knows that I said He told me that I would even know the secrets of their heart if I'd be sincere? You same people raise your hand if that was told? Now, you might not have never seen it.
But listen. There's another move coming now, which will be exceed this. Now, I believe it will take place soon. Now, God's church keeps moving up. When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of God raises a standard against it. That's right.

E-52 Maintenant, ne cherchez pas des signes pour croire. Eh bien, autrefois, nous ne ... pas... Rappelez-vous, lorsque je–je n’avais pas de carte de prière, je disais simplement: «D’accord. Et frère Bosworth, qui venait de rentrer à la Maison dans la Gloire... Combien ont connu F. F. Bosworth? C’est le plus grand saint de l’époque que je connaisse. Il est rentré à la Maison, à la rencontre de Jésus l’autre jour, vers la quatre-vingtaine. Il est à la Maison ce soir. Avant sa mort, environ une heure, il est entré dans le coma, puis il s’est levé et s’est mis à serrer la main aux gens auxquels il avait prêché des années auparavant, se réjouissant simplement, louant Dieu, disant: «Ça fait des années que je ne vous avais pas vu.»
La vie de grands hommes nous rappelle à tous que nous pouvons rendre notre vie sublime et, en partant, laisser derrière nous des empreintes de pas sur le sable du temps. C’est exact. Oui. Que ma fin soit comme cela.
| E-52 Now, don't look for signs for you to believe. Now, we used to, we didn't... You remember when I--I didn't have any prayer cards. I'd just say, "All right. All you want to be prayed for get up." And, oh, my, have fist fights and everything else, and knock one another down, and push one another away. You couldn't do that.
And Brother Bosworth who just went home to glory... How many knowed F. F. Bosworth? Greatest saint of the day as I know. He went home to meet Jesus the other day, way in his eighties. He's at home tonight. Before he died, about an hour, he went into a coma, and raised up, begin shaking hands with the people he preached to years ago that's been gone. Just rejoicing and praising God, saying, "I haven't seen you for years."
Lives of great men all remind us we can make our lives sublime, with partings leave behind us, footprints on the sands of time. That's right. Yes. Let my end be like that.

E-53 Maintenant, remarquez. Ainsi donc, j’ai dit: «Eh bien, je vais juste les envoyer aux pasteurs, chacun d’eux, un certain nombre de cartes de prière, ceux qui collaborent.» Eh bien, le premier pasteur faisait entrer son groupe, et cela suscitait des ressentiments entre les pasteurs. Ça ne pouvait pas se faire.
Alors, j’ai dit: «Eh bien, je vais vous dire quoi, nous allons simplement arriver et–et distribuer des cartes de prière. Et alors, je prendrai quelqu’un...» J’ai demandé à mon frère de m’accompagner, car je savais qu’il ne ferait pas cela. J’ai donc envoyé mon frère là. Il distribuait les cartes de prière et on en est arrivé à trouver...?... Je ne prenais peut-être pas plus de 10, 15, pas plus de 25 cartes de prière. Si leurs cartes étaient au-delà de cela, ils jetaient simplement cela par terre: «Je n’en veux pas. Je ne serai jamais appelé.» Voyez?
| E-53 Now, notice. He said to me, he said, "Brother Branham, if--if you--you--you make like a arena..." Said, "Don't do that." Said, "All my ministry I've give out prayer cards, make them come and let them stay three times before I'd ever pray for them, three meetings for instructions."
Well, I said, "We'll just do that." Printed up a few hundred cards, I said, "We'll go down there." And first thing you know we got somebody down there was giving out prayer cards, and selling them, so I had to stop that.
So then I said, "Well, I'll just send to pastors, each one, so many prayer cards, that's cooperating." Well, the first pastor got his group in, and that started it with hard feelings between the pastors. Couldn't do that.
So I said, "Well, I'll tell you what, we'll just go down and--and give out the prayer cards. And then I'll get somebody... I got my brother to go with me, which I knowed he wouldn't do that. So I sent my brother down. He'd give out the prayer cards, and they got to a place they found out...?... I didn't get over maybe from ten, fifteen, not over twenty-five prayer cards. If their card went above that, they'd just throw it on the floor, "I don't want it. I'll never be called." See?

E-54 Eh bien, alors, j’ai dit: «Je vais vous dire ce que je ferai. J’enverrai les cartes de prière, je ferai distribuer tout le tas en une nuit, je vais juste les appeler à partir de cela.» Alors les gens qui venaient la deuxième soirée n’avaient point de possibilité de venir à l’estrade. Voyez, cela n’avait pas marché. Oh! Nous avons connu un temps avec cela.
Puis, j’ai dit: «Je vais vous dire ce que nous allons faire; nous allons simplement distribuer les cartes de prière...» On devait avoir les cartes de prière. J’ai dit: «Nous mettrons debout une petite fille ou un petit garçon qui est assis là dans le siège de devant pour qu’il se mette à compter. Là où il s’arrête de compter, ou elle, c’est exactement à partir de là que nous commencerons. Chose étrange, maman demandait à Junior de s’arrêter juste à son numéro et tout. Ainsi donc, cela n’a pas marché.
Je ne savais donc quoi faire. Alors, un soir, je traversais le Canada, le Seigneur m’a donné une vision, Il a dit: «Va et distribue les cartes de prière chaque jour, chaque jour. Et alors, quand tu...» Ce soir-là, les jeunes gens qui distribuaient les cartes de prière, ça pouvait être frère–frère...?... les distribuaient, ou Léo, Gene, ou Billy Paul, mon fils, l’un d’eux distribuait des cartes de prière.
| E-54 Well, then I said, "I'll tell you what I'll do. I'll send the prayer cards down and give the whole thing out in one night, and I'll just call them from that." Then people coming in on the second night, never had a chance to get to the platform. See, that wouldn't work. Oh, we've had a time with it.
Then I said, "I'll tell you what we'll do; we'll just give out the prayer cards..." had to have the prayer cards. I said, "We'll have some little girl or little boy setting there in the front seat to stand up here and start counting. Where he stops counting, or she, that's exactly where we'll start from. Strange as was, mommy had junior to stop right at her number and so forth. So now, that just wouldn't work.
So I didn't know what to do. So one night crossing over to Canada, the Lord gave me a vision, and said, "Go down and give out prayer cards every day, every day. And then when you..." that night, the boys who were giving them out, they could be Brother--Brother...?... will them out, or Leo, Gene, or Billy Paul, my boy, any of them give out the prayer cards.

E-55 Et alors, on apporte des cartes de prière, on les tient comme ceci devant vous, on les bat ensemble, et on va dans l’assistance: «En voulez-vous une? En voulez-vous une?» C’est tout juste... Quiconque en veut peut l’avoir tant qu’on en distribue. Vous pouvez avoir le numéro un, et vous, numéro cinquante. Et puis, lorsque moi, j’arrive, je peux commencer par cinquante. Je peux commencer par dix. Je peux... Voyez, personne ne sait par où on va commencer, ni moi non plus. Ainsi, le...
On peut les distribuer l’après-midi parce que la charge... Les cartes ne s’échangent pas; les gens doivent être là pour suivre la réunion d’instruction, être instruits donc sur la façon de recevoir la guérison divine avant qu’on leur donne les cartes. Et puis, les jeunes gens sont là pour distribuer les cartes.
Et aussi, je peux commencer par cinq, et aller de cinq à dix. Et puis, la soirée suivante, je peux commencer par quatre-vingt-quinze et descendre comme cela jusqu’à n’importe quel numéro qui me vient à l’esprit lorsque je suis ici. C’est tout ce qu’il y a. C’est vrai.
| E-55 And then they bring the prayer cards down and take them like this before you, and mix them all up together, walk right out in the audience, you want one, you want one. That's just all... Anybody that wants them can have them till they give out. You might get number 1 and you get 50. And then when I come in I might start at 50. I might start at 10. I might... See, nobody knows where they're going to start, and I don't either. So the...
You could give them out in the afternoon because the charge--the cards are inexchangeable, and they must stand to hear the instruction meeting, so you'll be instructed on how to receive Divine healing before you give them the cards. And then the boys are there to give out the cards.
And then I might start from five, and run from 5 to 10. And then next night I might start from 95 and come back this way just anywhere, wherever it comes on my mind when I'm standing here. That's just to all. That's right.

Que celui qui a été dans mes réunions ces derniers temps lève la main s’il sait que c’est la vérité. Assurément. Voyez? Dix contre une.
La carte de prière n’a rien à faire avec votre guérison. Votre carte de prière ne représente rien. Cela veut seulement dire que vous... Vous serez appelé ici pour... Qu’était-ce? Ce n’est pas moi qui mets un don en action. C’est votre foi qui fait cela. Voyez?
| E-56 Now, the only thing that does is get the people here, a few lined up. That has nothing to do with if they're going to be healed, not a thing. It only gets the Spirit moving, gets the doubt out of the building.
Then the Holy Spirit goes right on out through the meeting to the people anywhere, where they ever may be, call them right there just as... [Blank.spot.on.tape--Ed.]
You just touch His garment, and see if He doesn't tell me. See? That's the way. See?
And anyone who's ever been in my meetings lately knows that there's--there's ten to one healed in the audience and called out to what's on the platform. Anybody ever been in my late meetings, raise your hand if you know that's true? Sure. See? Ten to one.
The prayer card don't have nothing to do with your healing. Your prayer card don't mean one thing. It just means for you to... You're called up here just to... What was it? I don't operate a gift. Your faith does that. See?

E-57 Jésus, Il était le Fils de Dieu, mais cette femme-là... Il ne savait pas qui L’avait touché. Il a dit qu’Il ne le savait pas. Est-ce vrai? Qu’avait fait la femme? Elle avait mis cela en action. Voyez, c’est votre–c’est votre foi dans un don divin. Croyez-vous... C’est votre approche vis-à-vis de cela. Croyez-vous cela?
Qu’en est-il de ce soldat romain qui avait mis un lambeau sur les yeux de Jésus, qui L’avait frappé à la tête avec un bâton et avait dit: «Maintenant, prophétiseur, dis-nous qui T’a frappé.» Il n’a jamais ressenti de vertu. Il ne lui a été rien dit. Il est dans le tourment ce soir, je suppose, à cause d’une telle attitude.
| E-57 Jesus, He was the Son of God, but that woman... He didn't know who touched Him. He said He didn't. Is that right? What did the woman did? She operated that. See, it's your--it's your faith in a Divine gift. Do you believe... It's your approach to it. You believe that?
What about that Roman soldier that put a rag over His eyes, and hit Him across the head with a stick, said, "Now, prophesier, tell us who hit you." He never felt any virtue. There wasn't one thing told him. He's in torment tonight I suppose, for an attitude like that.

E-58 Regardez Marthe, lorsqu’elle est allée prendre... vers Jésus. Elle est allée vers Lui, elle a dit... Il s’en était allé, Il l’avait laissée au moment où elles étaient en détresse et où Lazare était mort. Mais avez-vous vu? C’est là un cas. Le Père Lui avait déjà dit quoi faire.
Il a dit: «Je suis content de ce que Je n’étais pas là.» On a dit: «Il est mort depuis quatre jours.» Ce que le Père Lui avait montré. Il a dit qu’Il ne faisait rien avant que le Père le Lui ait montré. A la tombe, Il a dit: «Je Te rends grâces, Père, de ce que Tu M’as déjà exaucé, mais j’ai parlé uniquement à cause de ces gens qui m’entourent ici.» Voyez? Il n’a point dit qu’Il s’était senti faible là, n’est-ce pas? Non.
Combien plus grand était cela par rapport au cas de la femme qui avait touché Son vêtement. Mais là, c’était Dieu utilisant Son don. Voyez? Ici, c’était la femme utilisant Son don. C’est juste... C’est votre–votre foi qui fait cela. Cela... Je–je ne peux ni arrêter cela, ni non plus produire cela pas plus que quoi que ce soit. C’est votre propre foi dans cela.
Si vous ne croyez pas que c’est ça, regardez simplement à Dieu. Ne soyez pas nerveux. Regardez simplement à Dieu et dites: «Seigneur Dieu, je crois solennellement cela de tout mon coeur, que c’est la vérité. J’ai besoin de telle et telle chose.» Observez ce qu’Il fera. C’est une forte déclaration à faire ici, n’est-ce pas? C’est vrai.
Mais je sais en Qui j’ai cru. Je suis persuadé qu’Il est capable de garder ce qui lui est confié. Si Dieu dit quelque chose, Dieu tient Sa Parole. Et Il est le même hier, aujourd’hui et éternellement. Je suis enregistré sur bandes et tout comme cela, mais voici ce que je déclare: Une bonne attitude mentale envers n’importe quelle promesse divine de Dieu la fera s’accomplir. Ne l’oubliez pas. Si vous affichez une bonne attitude mentale envers cela, la promesse, elle la fera s’accomplir. Que le Seigneur l’accorde.
| E-58 Look at Martha, when she went to get... to Jesus. And she come to Him, she said... He had went away and left her when they was in trouble and Lazarus had died. But did you see, there's a case. The Father had already told Him what to do.
He said, "I'm glad I wasn't over there." Said, "He's dead four days." What the Father had told Him. He said He did nothing till the Father told Him. At the grave He said, "I think Thee, Father, has already heard Me, but I just said it for these who stand by." See? He never said He got weak there, did He? No.
How much greater was that than it was the woman that touched His garment. But that's when God was using His gift. See? This was when the woman was using His gift. It's just... Your--your faith does it. It... I--I could no more stop it, or no more produce it than nothing. It's your own faith in it.
If you don't believe that's so, just look at God. Don't be nervous. Just look to God and say, "Lord God, I believe that solemnly with all my heart to be the truth. And I have need of such and such a thing." Watch what He will do. That's a great word to say here, isn't it? That's right.
But I know Who I have believed. I'm persuaded He's able to keep that which has been committed. If God says anything, God keeps His Word. And He's the same yesterday, today, and forever. I'll go on record through the tapes and so forth as that, but I say this, that the right mental attitude towards any Divine promise of God, will bring it to pass. Remember that. If you take the right mental attitude towards it, the promise, it'll bring it to pass. May the Lord grant it.

Some--somebody that's maybe... Look at your neighbor, maybe somebody's deaf and can't hear it. They'll miss their card. Look at your neighbor's card. How many prayer cards in the building, raise your hand. Supposed to be fifty or something. All right.

The boys just give them out to anybody that wants them till they're run out. Give a few here, and a few there, and everywhere, so we won't all crowd and rush towards one place.

E-61 Maintenant, combien ici n’ont pas de carte de prière et diront–et diront...?... «Seigneur, je crois en Toi ce soir. Je vais placer ma foi en Toi. Je sais que cet homme qui se tient là ne peut rien faire pour moi. Mais, s’il a expliqué la vérité, que Tu es dans Ton Eglise, il est un membre de l’Eglise.» Juste comme vous l’êtes. Voyez? Nous sommes des frères et des soeurs, juste un membre de l’Eglise.
Et le Saint-Esprit aime chacun de nous de la même façon. Voyez? Et vous direz: «Je vais solennellement placer ma foi en Toi, Seigneur. Alors, amène cet homme à se retourner pour me dire ce pour quoi je prie, me dire quelque chose comme il le fait dans le... comme cela s’était fait dans la Bible.»Voudriez-vous lever la main, vous qui aimerez que cela vous arrive? Levez la main, levez-la très haut et croyez de tout... Il n’y a pas moyen de le savoir. C’est pratiquement partout. D’accord. Croyez seulement maintenant. Croyez seulement. E-63 Combien savent que les enfants d’Israël avaient suivi la Colonne de Feu? Assurément qu’ils L’avaient suivie. Combien savent que cette Colonne de Feu était Christ, le Logos, l’Ange de l’alliance? Combien savent que lorsqu’Il a rencontré Paul sur le chemin de Damas, Il était redevenu la Colonne de Feu et que Cela avait crevé les yeux de Paul? Voyez? Voyez? D’accord. Voyez, Il est le même hier, aujourd’hui et éternellement.
Maintenant, si cet Esprit-là, Celui que j’ai cherché à montrer à l’église... Lorsque j’étais un petit enfant de dix-huit mois, c’est vrai, lorsque je commençais à parler, la première chose dont je me souviens donc, c’est une vision. Il y en a eu des centaines et des centaines et des centaines de milliers de fois, et jamais à aucun moment cela n’a failli. Et ça ne le peut pas. Si cela faillait, ça ne serait pas Dieu. Mais comme c’est Dieu, ça ne peut pas faillir. Voyez?
Je me suis donc tenu devant cinq cent mille personnes, à la fois, à Bombay, en Inde, environ deux cent mille en Afrique, des païens et tout; j’ai défié les musulmans, tenant le Coran dans une main et la Bible dans l’autre, et j’ai dit: «L’un est vrai et l’autre, faux. Now, if that Spirit, which I tried to tell the church... When I was a little baby eighteen months old, that's right, when I first begin to talk, first thing I ever remember is a vision. It's been hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of times, and never one time did it ever fail. And it can't. If it would, it wouldn't be God. But being it is God, it can't fail. See?
So I've stood before five hundred thousand at one time at Bombay, India, about two hundred thousand in Africa, heathens and everything; and challenge the Mohammedans, take the Koran in one hand and the Bible in the other and say, "One of them's right and one's wrong. Let the God that made the promise do the speaking." That's right. See?

E-64 Ecoutez, frère. Une–une parole psychique, c’est une bonne chose; juste parler, prêcher et... Mais écoutez. On en est arrivé au temps (Voyez?), on en est arrivé au temps où le Dieu qui a ressuscité Jésus-Christ doit se manifester. Le Dieu d’Elie vit toujours. Certainement.
Regardez ces gens-là, beaucoup parmi vous ont marché avec Lui chaque jour sans se rendre compte de ce que c’était. Ceux qui L’aiment, Cléopas et son ami allant vers Emmaüs, ils ont marché toute la journée, ils ont parlé avec Lui, ils ne savaient pas qui Il était. Le jour de Sa résurrection, trois jours avant, Il avait baissé le regard depuis la croix; et voici le même Homme avec ces... Combien savent que Dieu peut fermer les yeux ou les ouvrir? Certainement qu’Il le peut. Certainement qu’Il le peut. Eh bien, qu’Il ouvre les vôtres ce soir. Voyez?
Et après qu’Il fut arrivé à Emmaüs, Il parut vouloir aller plus loin, et l’un d’eux L’a persuadé d’entrer. Lorsqu’Il les avait dans une pièce, la porte fermée, ils étaient enfermés, comme nous le sommes ici ce soir, Il a fait quelque chose exactement comme Il l’avait fait avant Sa mort, Son ensevelissement. Est-ce exact?
Et ils ont reconnu, leurs yeux s’ouvrirent, et ils ont reconnu que c’était à Lui qu’ils parlaient tout le temps. Je prie ce soir que nos coeurs, lorsque nous partirons d’ici, soient de même: «Notre coeur ne brûlait-il pas au-dedans de nous alors qu’Il nous parlait en chemin?»

How many knows that God can shut eyes or open eyes? Certainly He can. Certainly He can. Now, let Him open yours tonight. See?
And after He got to Emmaus, made like He'd go on by, and some of them persuaded Him to come in. When He got them in the room and shut the door, got them closed in, like we are here tonight, He did something the very way He did it before His death, burial. Is that right?
And they recognized, their eyes come open, and they recognized it was Him all the time that they had been talking to. I pray tonight that our hearts when we leave here, will be the same way. "Did not our hearts burn within us as He talked to us along the road?"

C. of a supernatural Being. It's right under it as the only supernatural being that was ever scientifically proven photographed. They did it in newspapers, but this happened to be the association that did this.
And in Germany they got It coming down, when It was anointing, when it was going back. They got it in Switzerland. It's knowed the world around. And the--the fruit of that Spirit bears the Life of Jesus Christ. Then it'd have to be the Spirit of Jesus Christ.
Now, as a man... I'm a man. That's just like the rest of you. But now, if we can submit ourselves to a gift that the Holy Spirit would move, now the next is up to Him.
So, Father God, they're--from now on, let Thy Spirit move. Anoint hearts to believe and anoint me, Lord, if I'll see with these eyes that the things that You want these people to know...?... Eternal God, for Thy glory in Jesus' Name. Amen.

So now, you look to Christ now, and say, "Lord, I just believe. I just believe." Just believe it in your heart. Be real reverent, and pray for me, 'cause I'm here to represent your Lord through His Word.

Et nous sommes inconnus... C’est notre première rencontre, madame? Elle m’avait vu. Elle était... Vous étiez juste assise dans la réunion? Elle est passée dans la ligne de prière avec son fils il y a environ dix ans à Phoenix, en Arizona. Et vous pouvez vous représenter ce que je peux savoir d’elle. Voyez? Je n’ai jamais... Now, if His Spirit will come and find this woman's trouble the same way that He did then, how many would believe it then with all their hearts, say, "I promise I believe."?
Now, first I say this, with my hands up, I don't swear, but by the Bible, I've never seen the woman in my life. I don't know the woman. I've never seen her. And we're strange... This is our first time meeting, lady? She saw me. She was...
You was just setting in the meeting? Went through the prayer line with her boy ten years ago in Phoenix, Arizona. And you can imagine what I'd know about her. See? I have never... I've met many, even millions of people since then. I have no way... If it was in a prayer line, I wouldn't know it anyhow. The only way I know what happens...

Elle ne saurait pas si ça se fera ou pas. Mais, voyez... Elle n’aura pas à l’esprit la réponse à la question de savoir si c’était réellement cela.
Mais si le Saint-Esprit lui révèle quelque chose qui est déjà arrivé dans la vie, qu’elle sait, quelque chose qu’elle a fait il y a longtemps, ou quelque chose qu’elle a fait avant de venir ici, ou quelque chose comme cela, qu’elle soit juge quant à savoir si c’est vrai ou pas. Et vous, faites de même là dans l’assistance. Donc, nous savons, s’Il sait ce qui a été, certainement qu’Il saura ce qui arrivera. Est-ce vrai? Cela en est donc la preuve. C’est un miracle.

And that... I... Only way I'd ever know what I said was catch that tape there. We know everything that's been said to people. Watch what it says. If He knows what has been... If I'd tell this woman. She may be sick; she may not be sick. She may be standing here for someone else. She may be here for financial conditions. She may be here for a domestic trouble. I don't know. See, I couldn't tell you. But if I'd say, just say, "Lady, you sick?"
You'd say, "Yes, sir."
I lay my hands on her, say, "Praise the Lord, you're going to get well. Hallelujah. Go believe it." Well, she'd have a right to doubt that. Not...?... whether she did or not. But see... She has to answer the question in her mind whether it was really so.
But if the Holy Spirit tells her something that's already been life that she knows about, something she done a long time ago, or something she done first to come here, or something, let her be judge whether it's right or not. And you do the same out there. Then we know, if He knows what was, He certainly will know what will be. Is that right? So that proves it. That's the miracle.

Mais qu’en est-il de cette femme-ci? Elle paraît solide. Qu’en est-il de ces femmes ici, ces hommes, ou quelque part là dans l’assistance, qui paraissent forts et en bonne santé? C’est là qu’il y a un miracle. Eh bien, soyez très respectueux.
Vous direz: «Frère Branham, vous gagnez du temps.» Je le sais. C’est tout à fait vrai. Je L’attends. C’est tout à fait vrai. S’Il n’aide pas, s’Il ne vient pas vers moi, je vais simplement congédier l’assistance par une prière ou...?... Je L’attends.

"There's a little girl, two ladies setting here in a wheelchair." Sure. "they're in the wheelchair and they're crippled." Sure. Anyone knows that. That wouldn't be no miracle to say that.
But what about this woman? She looks strong. What about these women here, these men, or somewhere out there, looks stout and healthy. There's the miracle of it. Now, be real reverent.
You say, "Brother Branham, you're stalling." I know it. That's exactly right. I'm waiting for Him. That's exactly right. If He doesn't help, come to me, I'll just dismiss the audience with prayer or...?... I'm waiting for Him.
"Only Believe," if you will, sister. Just everybody real reverent. Be real reverent. Now, while we just talk to the lady a moment. Maybe He will speak.

Donc, comme Il est sous la–la forme de l’Esprit, Il peut se servir du corps de Son serviteur pour la même chose. Croyez-vous cela, madame? Croyez-vous que je vous ai dit la vérité de la Bible? Croyez-vous cela solennellement?
| E-71 Now, sister... And ever who's on the microphone, watch now, 'cause it's a vision; you're somewhere else; you don't know how loud you're speaking or how soft you're speaking. So ever who's... The engineer, keep it stepped up when the vision starts if it does.
Now, oh, I believe you said that several years ago you was on the platform in Phoenix, Arizona. Them was great days. I remember them. I remember, I believe three thousand come through the line one afternoon in Phoenix, Arizona. He's still the same Lord God. He's--He's great. He can do all things.
Now, in the Name of Jesus Christ, every spirits subject to the Holy Spirit. Be reverent. He's here.
To know you, I do not. If you were sick, to heal you I cannot. The only way that I could do... If our Lord Jesus was standing here with this suit of clothes on that He gave me, He could not heal you if you're sick. He could only do something to make it--you know that He's here in answer to His Word.
