E-1 C’est très agréable d’être encore ici ce soir. Nous avons vraiment eu des moments merveilleux hier; et toute la journée d’aujourd’hui, j’ai vécu dans l’atmosphère de la réunion d’hier. Je suis donc heureux d’être au service du Seigneur ce soir. Maintenant, avec tant de gens qui attendent, ou plutôt qui sont debout, je devrais plutôt dire qui sont debout, cela... nous sommes désolés de ne pas avoir une salle appropriée pour faire asseoir les gens. Mais nous savons que, si vous êtes un peu patients avec nous, le Seigneur vous récompensera certainement. J’espère qu’Il le fait, et je suis sûr qu’Il le fera; en effet, Il récompense toujours ceux qui sont patients et ceux... «Ceux qui s’attendent à l’Eternel renouvelleront leur force, et ils s’élèveront avec des ailes comme un... l’aigle.»Maintenant, pendant les dernières soirées, ou plutôt les derniers jours, je vous ai pratiquement prêché et j’ai eu de petites lignes d’appel et tout le reste. Je pense plutôt que je dois consacrer cela aux malades ce soir, à la prière pour les malades, parce qu’on en a un si grand nombre ici, et j’ai dit aux garçons de distribuer des cartes de prière cet après-midi. Je pense qu’ils l’ont fait, ou l’ont-ils fait? L’ont-ils fait? C’est bien, très bien. Nous allons... Merci, Frère Gene. Nous allons les appeler juste dans quelques instants. | E-1 So good to be here again tonight. We just had a wonderful time yesterday, and I've been living in the atmosphere of the yesterday's meeting all day today. So I'm happy to be in the service of the Lord tonight. Now, with so many waiting, or standing rather, that I should say standing, rather, that--we're sorry that we don't have the adequate room for seating, but we know that, if you'll just be patient with us a little while, the Lord will certainly reward you. I hope He does, and I'm sure He will, because He always rewards those who are patiently and tho... "They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, and they shall mount up with an--wings like an eagle."
Now, the last few nights, or days, I just been preaching kinda to you and having the small calling lines, and so forth. I kinda believe I owe it to the sick people tonight to pray for the sick, because there so many of them here, and I told the boys to give out some prayer cards this afternoon. I guess they did, or did they? Did they? That's fine, all right. We'll... Thank you, Brother Gene. We will call them up just in a few moments.

E-2 Ces mouchoirs qui ont été envoyés ici pour que l’on prie dessus, eh bien, nous croyons avec révérence à la prière pour ces tissus. Eh bien, n’oublions pas que prier sur ces linges, c’est une doctrine de la Bible. Eh bien, beaucoup de gens les oignent d’huile et les renvoient aux patients. Et il a dit: «Prends ce bâton et pose-le sur l’enfant.» Je pense que c’est là que Paul a eu l’idée de poser... de prendre des mouchoirs et des linges qui avaient touché son corps; en effet, je ne pense pas que saint Paul pouvait faire quelque chose qui n’était pas scripturaire. Il a donc envoyé... Eh bien, nous sommes conscient que nous ne sommes pas saint Paul. Mais Lui est toujours Jésus. Voyez-vous? Il est toujours Dieu. Ainsi, Dieu ne faisant acception de personne, Il envoie vos pasteurs, vos évangélistes et autres afin que vous ayez la même foi dans le même Dieu que saint Paul représentait. Et alors, si nous avons le même ministère que celui que saint Paul avait, les mêmes choses qui se produisent–qui se sont produites dans les réunions de saint Paul se produiront dans notre ministère.
| E-2 These handkerchiefs here that's sent up here to be prayed over, now, we reverently believe in praying for these cloths. Now, we remember that this is a Bible doctrine to pray over these cloths. Now, many people anoint them with oil and send them back to the patients. We send thousands of them a month around the world. And if you don't have one in here, if you just write our office why, we'll sure send it to you free of charge, no charges for anything we do. So...
In the Bible, if you'll bear with me, I believe, Scripturally, Paul never prayed over them or anointed them; they taken from his body. I believe Paul was Scriptural, don't you think so? Would you like to know where I think he got that from? Elijah one time, when a baby was dead, Elijah said to Gehazi, "Take my staff and go, lay it on the child." Now, Elijah knew that the Holy Spirit upon him, and everything he touched was blessed. And he said, "Take this staff and lay it on the baby." I think there's where Paul got the idea of laying--taking handkerchiefs and aprons from his body, because I wouldn't think that Saint Paul would do anything unscriptural. So he sent...
Now, we realize, that we're not Saint Paul. But He's still Jesus. See? He's still God. So God, being no respect of persons, He sends your pastors, and evangelists, and things along, that you might have the same faith in the same God that Saint Paul represented. And then if we have the same ministry that Saint Paul had, the same things take place in our ministry, take places--took place in Saint Paul's meeting.

E-3 Eh bien, juste avant que nous... ou plutôt avant que nous ne commencions à prier ce soir pour les malades, je–je voudrais poser les mains sur ces mouchoirs et prier pour ça. Bien des fois... J’ai des photos, si vous remarquez bien là dans les livres, provenant de l’Afrique du Sud, où on avait rempli en une soirée, je pense, seize ou dix-huit sacs en jute, de très grands sacs; je pense que nous appelons cela des sacs en toile; ils étaient bourrés de mouchoirs, de lettres et tout. Et l’un des journalistes a dit: «Frère Branham est très superstitieux; il priait sur des linges, des mouchoirs.» C’est parce que les gens ne connaissent pas les Ecritures; c’est tout. Ce sont des gens aimables, ils ne comprennent tout simplement pas. C’est ainsi dans la plupart des cas aujourd’hui; les gens sont tous gentils, mais bien des fois ils ne comprennent tout simplement pas. Alors, nous supportons simplement cela.
| E-3 Now, just before we--or tonight before we start praying for the sick, I--I want to lay hands on those handkerchiefs and pray for them. Many times... I've got pictures, you notice in the books there, from South Africa where they had, I believe sixteen or eighteen grass sack fulls. One nights service, just great big, we call them, I guess they're burlap sacks and stuffed full of handkerchiefs and letters and things. And one of the reporters said, "Brother Branham's very superstitious, he was praying over cloths," handkerchiefs. That they don't know the Scripture; that's all. They're lovely people; they just don't understand. That's the way a lot of it is today; they're all nice people, but many times just don't understand. So we just bear with that...?...

E-4 Ainsi, nous sommes donc heureux de servir de toutes façons. Maintenant, si vous écrivez à Jeffersonville, dites-leur simplement... Ce sera un linge sur lequel j’aurai prié. Je ne peux pas envoyer un mouchoir; c’est très coûteux. J’envoie des milliers de linges par mois. Je prends un ruban que je découpe, puis je prie sur ces rubans; et alors une soeur de l’Illinois me fait donc de petits tissus d’environ cette dimension; ce n’est pas très cher, oh! je pense... Je ne me rappelle plus le montant qu’ils payent pour cent pièces de ces tissus. Et nous en prenons dans des très grosses boîtes, et je prends ces linges et prie dessus. Et ensuite, nous rédigeons une lettre, nous formons une chaîne à travers le monde. Ceci couvre la terre entière. Nous obtenons plus de miracles au moyen de ces tissus que nous n’en avons juste lors des réunions, parce que nous sommes ... plus–atteignons plus de gens.
| E-4 So then we are glad to minister in any way. Now, if you write up to Jeffersonville, just tell them, it'll be a cloth that I prayed over. I can't send a handkerchief; they're too expensive. Been sending thousands of them a month. I take a ribbon and cut them off and pray over these ribbons, and then some sister over in Illinois makes me little cloths about like that, not very expensive, oh, I think--I forget what they pay a hundred for them. And we get them by the great big boxes, and I take those and pray over them. And then there's a letter made up; we have a chain circle around the earth. The entire earth is encircled with this. We have more miracles done by them cloths than we have right in the meeting, because we're ea--meach more--reach more people.

E-5 Voici ce que je voudrais dire. Je sais que cela vous prend beaucoup de temps, mais il y a quelques jours... oh! pas quelques jours, quelques... environ deux ans, on avait envoyé en Allemagne un linge auquel on avait attaché cette instruction: «Si votre–votre pasteur est un croyant, appelez-le. Si vous avez commis un quelconque péché, confessez-le, mettez toute chose en ordre. Dieu ne guérit que sous certaines conditions. Voyez-vous? Appelez donc votre pasteur, et si vous avez fait un quelconque mal, confessez cela. La Bible déclare: ‘Confessez vos péchés les uns aux autres, priez les uns pour les autres, afin que vous soyez guéris. Car la prière fervente du juste a une grande efficacité.’» Et moi, je dis: «Si vous êtes... si vous n’avez pas de pasteur qui croit dans la guérison, vous avez peut-être un voisin qui y croit, un membre de l’église, quelqu’un à qui vous pouvez parler et–et en qui vous avez confiance...» Et cette petite femme allemande a fait venir quelques voisines et a dit: «Si j’ai fait quoi que ce soit de mal, je suis disposée à mettre cela en ordre; je n’en sais rien.» Elle avait été invalide dans un fauteuil roulant pendant vingt ans et quelques. Elles ont donc prié et ont détaché le mouchoir de la lettre; elles l’ont posé sur la petite Allemande. Et au verso de la page où on a donné la traduction de son témoignage, elle a dit: «Maintenant, toi, espèce de vieux démon, tu es resté assez longtemps en moi; sors donc!» Elle s’est simplement levée de ce fauteuil roulant et s’est mise à marcher. Eh bien, c’est vraiment ça. Oui, oui. «Espèce de vieux démon, tu m’as retenue assez longtemps. Maintenant, sors de moi!» Et elle s’est carrément levée et s’est mise à marcher. Eh bien, c’est aussi simple que ça.
| E-5 I like to tell this. I know it's taking a lot of your time, but a few days--oh, it's not a few days, few--about two years ago, there was one sent to Germany, and on the cloth it says, "If your--your pastor is a believer, call him in. If you've done any sin, confess it, make everything right. God will not heal, only under conditions. See? So call your pastor in, and if you've did any wrong, confess it. The Bible said, 'Confess your faults one to another; pray one for the other that you might be healed. For the effectual fervent prayer of the righteous availeth much.'" And I say, "If you're--if you have no pastor that believes in healing, maybe you got a neighbor that believes in healing, some member of the church, someone that you can talk to and--and confide in."
And this little German woman called in some neighbor women and she said, "If I've done anything wrong, I'm willing to make it right; I know nothing about it." She'd been an invalid in a wheelchair for twenty some odd years. So they prayed and took the handkerchief out of the letter, laid it on the little German woman, and on the back of the page where they give the translation of her testimony, she said, "Now, old man devil, you've been in me long enough, so get out." She just get up out of that wheelchair and went walking on. Now, it's just that. Yes, sir. "Old man devil, you've held me long enough. Now, get out of me," and just got right up and walked away. Now, that's just how simple it is.

E-6 Pendant le–l’un de nos premiers voyages missionnaires à l’ouest (Ça fait longtemps que je n’y ai plus pensé), frère Jack Moore et moi étions en train de prier pour des Indiens à Saint Carlos. Oui, est-ce que vous vous en souvenez encore? Eh bien, peut-être que le Seigneur veut que je dise quelque chose à ce sujet. Nous étions là avec les Espagnols, c’était la première fois que je priais pour des Indiens, et un alcoolique et un tuberculeux sont venus à la réunion de Phoenix, à l’auditorium de l’école secondaire Byrd. Et quand j’ai vu les gens amener ces Indiens sur l’estrade, de toute façon, j’ai toujours eu pitié des Indiens. Eh bien, je pense qu’ils ont été traités rudement dans cette affaire américaine. Ainsi donc... afin que... J’ai dit au Seigneur que s’Il guérissait ces deux Indiens, et qu’Il les guérissait réellement, alors je retournerais à la réserve. Avant que je n’atteigne la Californie, quelqu’un m’a fait savoir là que tous les deux étaient guéris. Nous avons donc dû retourner à la réserve, et je me souviens que je suis allé là-bas et que j’ai parlé à ces Indiens, ces Apaches, des gens costauds et forts, qui étaient assis là partout tout autour. Et j’ai dit: «Eh bien, je sais ce que vous devez ressentir.» J’ai dit: «Je pense que ce n’est pas correct d’envoyer des milliards de dollars outre-mer qui permettent à ces gens-là de construire des avions et de fabriquer des bombes pour revenir nous faire sauter avec cela (C’est exact.), alors que des milliers de ces Indiens meurent de faim chaque année à la Grande Prairie.» Ce–c’est une tache sur notre drapeau que de faire une chose pareille. Après tout, ce pays leur appartient; nous les avons simplement repoussés. Que penserions-nous si les Japonais venaient ici et nous repoussaient, ou quelque chose de ce genre? Le même sentiment. Rappelez-vous, ce sont des humains.
| E-6 Brother Jack Moore and I on the--one of our first missions going west (Haven't thought of this for a long time.), we were praying for the Indians out in Saint Carlos. Yes, was you thinking of that? Well, maybe the Lord wants me to say something about it. We had been down with the Spanish people, the first time I'd ever prayed for Indians, and there was an alcoholic and a tuberculosis come into the meeting in Phoenix, at the Byrd High School Auditorium. And when I seen them bring them Indians on the platform, my heart always went out for Indians anyhow. Well, I think they got a rough deal out of this American situation. So then--so that... I asked the Lord if He'd heal those two Indians, and make it definitely heal them, then I'd go back to the reservation. Before I got to California there was somebody there let me know that they were both healed.
So we had to go back up on the reservation, and I remember going in there, and speaking to those Indians, those Apaches, great big, strong people there setting around everywhere. And I said, "Now, I know how you must feel." I said, "I think it's wrong to send billions of dollars overseas for them to build up airplanes, and make bombs, and come back and blow us out with it (That's right.) when thousands of these Indians die every year from starvation on the prairie." It--it's a stain on our flag to do a thing like that. After all, this land belongs to them; we just pushed them back. What would we think if the Japs come over here and pushed us back, or something like that? Same feeling. Remember they're human.

E-7 J’ai dit: «Je ne peux rien à tout cela. Je ne suis qu’un seul Américain; je ne suis qu’un individu qui vote juste comme vous et qui a les mêmes droits que vous et tout le monde, mais, ai-je dit, je ne suis pas ici pour vous parler de cette nation. Je suis ici pour vous parler de Quelqu’Un qui vous traitera correctement; c’est Jésus-Christ.» Et je me souviens que lorsque nous avons appelé la ligne de prière (l’Indien est un type plutôt drôle, vous savez), et personne n’est donc venu dans la ligne de prière. Autrefois, on aur-... nous aurions été obligés de les prendre et les combattre pour les éloigner en utilisant des groupes importants de huissiers. Nous avons appelé la ligne de prière; personne n’est venu. Je me suis retourné vers frère Jack, et il m’a regardé. Finalement, l’interprète est rentré... Comment s’appelait cette femme qui avait là cette mission sur ce... Je–je crois qu’elle est membre des Assemblées de Dieu, oui; son nom m’échappe maintenant. Mais toutefois, j’étais sur les marches de son église... Comment? Mitchell, Mme Mitchell. Beaucoup d’entre vous, membres des Assemblées de Dieu, pourriez se souvenir d’elle. Et elle... Nous nous tenions là sur les marches avec des haut-parleurs, et de les voir assis tout autour, au coucher du soleil, cela paraissait comme à la vieille époque du chariot couvert. Et tous les vieux chefs ainsi que les jeunes Indiens tout autour de cela, étaient bien en ordre là, tous autour de cette berge de la rivière Saint Carlos.
| E-7 I said, "All of that I cannot help. I'm just one American; I'm just one person that votes just like you do and got the same rights that you have and all," but I said, "I'm not here to tell you about this nation. I'm here to tell you about Somebody that will give you a square deal; that's Jesus Christ."
And I remember when we called the prayer line, a Indian's kind of a funny fellow, you know, so's there's nobody come in the prayer line. Used to be you'd ha--we'd have to take and fight them away with great gangs of ushers. We called the prayer line; there was nobody come. I looked around at Brother Jack, and he looked at me. Finally the interpreter went back... What was that woman's name there that had that mission out there on that... I--I believe she belongs to the Assemblies of God, yes; I forget her name now. But however, I was on her church steps... What? Mitchell, Mrs. Mitchell. Many of you Assembly of God people might remember. And she... We stood out on the steps with loud speakers, and it was just looked like the old covered wagon days to see them setting around with that sun going down. And all the old chiefs, and the little Indians all around it, just sorted out in there, all around over that Saint Carlos river bank.

E-8 Et puis, peu après, cette interprète (ils ont toujours quelque chose qu’ils doivent faire), vous savez, elle est donc retournée à l’intérieur et a ramené une Indienne. Eh bien, dès qu’elle est sortie, avec de très gros poignets et ne pouvant pas prononcer un seul mot anglais, elle m’a regardé en face. Je l’ai observée là pendant quelques minutes, et j’ai dit: «Cette femme souffre d’une maladie vénérienne. Ce n’est pas parce qu’elle mène une vie immorale, mais c’est à cause des conditions dans lesquelles elle a été obligée de vivre.» Elle m’a regardé de façon très étrange et cette interprète lui a traduit cela; elle a acquiescé de la tête: «C’est juste.» Alors la personne suivante, c’était une fillette, et elle gardait sa tête baissée. Et j’ai dit: «Eh bien, cette fillette, ai-je dit, est l’enfant de l’un de–de grands hommes de la tribu, et elle faisait une fièvre; cela l’a rendue sourde-muette. Elle est sourde-muette depuis plus de deux ans; elle ne disait rien et n’entendait rien.» J’ai dit: «Maintenant, tous vous connaissez cette fillette, parce qu’elle reste juste ici à la réserve.» J’ai dit: «Eh bien, Jésus-Christ aime les Indiens; Il guérira cette Indienne.» Je lui ai imposé les mains et je me suis dit: «Sei-...» J’ai dit: «N’interprétez pas ceci.» J’ai alors fait cette prière: «Seigneur, fais-moi grâce devant ces gens.» Et j’ai prié pour la fillette, et je me suis penché vers elle. Et si jamais vous avez entendu la langue apache, oh! la la!... Alors j’ai dit: «M’entends-tu?» Elle s’est retournée et m’a regardé, et cette petite fille à la petite chevelure noire, au petit visage sale, a levé les yeux vers moi, et j’ai dit: «M’entends-tu?» Elle a dit... [Frère Branham imite le parler de la fille.–N.D.E.] Et j’ai dit: «Elle parlera mieux.» Et sa mère s’est retournée et a dit: «Hum, son expression s’améliore maintenant.» Alors j’ai dit: «Eh bien...»
| E-8 And then, after while, this interpreter, they got all time to do anything in, you know. So just went back in, brought out an Indian woman. Well, as soon as she came out, great big, wide wrists, couldn't speak a word of English, looked me in the face. I watched her a few minutes there; I said, "The woman has a venereal disease. It's not because that she's immoral, but the way she's had to live." And she looked at me real strangely, and that interpreter got that to it, she nodded her head, "That's right."
So the next come out was a little girl, and she kept her head down. And I said, "Now, this little girl," I said, "she belongs to one of the-the great men in the tribe, and she had a fever; it made her go both deaf and dumb. She's been deaf and dumb for over two years; she hasn't spoke or heard anything." I said, "Now, all of you know this little girl, because she's right here on the reservations." I said, "Now, Jesus Christ loves the Indians; He will heal the Indian." Laid hands, and I thought, "Lo..." I said, "Don't interpret this." And so I prayed, "Lord, give me a favor with these people." And I prayed for the little girl, and I got down to her. And if you ever heard Apache language, oh, my... So I said, "Hear me?" She turned around looked at me, and that little old black hair, little dirty face, and she looked up at me, and I said, "Hear me?"
She said... [Brother Branham imitates the girl talking--Ed.]
And I said, "She'll talk better."
And her mother turned around and said, "Hmmm, her talk heap good now."
So I said, "Well..."

E-9 Ensuite, on a amené un pauvre petit garçon; on l’a fait sortir de ce petit bâtiment. Sa petite chevelure était aussi raide que la crinière d’un cheval, et il avait la tête baissée, et j’ai dit: «Eh bien...» J’ai demandé au petit garçon de lever les yeux vers moi; j’ai dit: «Il louche, n’est-ce pas?» Et la mère était quelque peu rude, elle l’a tout simplement saisi par le sommet de la tête et a ramené sa chevelure et ses yeux en arrière, et ses petits yeux étaient disposés comme cela. J’ai dit: «Je me demande si je peux arriver à...» Il avait peur de moi. J’ai pris donc un morceau de chewing-gum; je me suis familiarisé avec lui, et je le lui ai fait sentir, vous savez. Il a gardé sa tête baissée; je le lui ai fait sentir, ses petits yeux louches regardaient tout autour. Je l’ai soulevé, je l’ai pris dans mes bras et j’ai dit: «Ô Dieu, si jamais Tu m’es venu en aide, que ce soit maintenant. Si je peux trouver grâce devant ces gens, alors ils croiront.» Voyez-vous? Je l’ai porté sur ma petite épaule, sa petite tête était sur mon épaule, et j’ai dit: «Seigneur, je Te prie de redresser ses yeux.» J’ai dit: «Maintenant, relevez vos têtes.» J’ai dit: «Maintenant, avant que je ne fasse descendre l’enfant de mes épaules, si ses yeux ne sont pas droits, je suis un faux prophète. Si ses yeux sont droits, alors croyez que je suis venu avec un message de la part de Jésus-Christ pour vous.» Je l’ai retourné comme ceci, et vous parlez d’une ligne de prière, c’était une ruée. La poussière volait et tout le monde cherchait à... Eh bien, nous n’arrivions pas à... Personne n’arrivait à entrer dans la ligne; ils se battaient simplement, se bousculant, criant, sautant les uns sur les autres. Et alors...
| E-9 And next, they had a little old boy; they pushed him out of that little building. His little old hair as coarse as a mane on a horse, and head down, and I said, "Well..." I let the little boy look up at me; I said, "He's got crossed eyes, hasn't it?" And the mother was kinda rough, she just grabbed him by the top of the head and pulled his hair back, eyes back, and his little eyes setting in like that. I said, "Wonder if I could get..." He was scared of me. So I had a piece of chewing gum; I made friends with him, let him smell it, you know, kept his head down, get him smelling it, them little crossed eyes looking around. I picked him up and got him in my arms and I thought, "God, if You ever helped me, let it be now." If I can just find favor with them, then they'll believe. See? I had him on my little shoulder, little head on my shoulder, and I said, "Lord, I pray that you'll straighten his eyes." I said, "Now, you raise your heads." I said, "Now, before I let the child leave my shoulders, if his eyes is not straight I'm a false prophet. If his eyes is straight, then you believe I've come with a message from Jesus Christ for you." I turned him around like this, and you talk about a prayer line, there was a stampede. Dust flying and everybody try... Well, we couldn't get... No one could get in line, they just fighting, and pushing, and hollering, and jumping over one another. And so...

E-10 Vraiment... la personne suivante était une vieille Indienne qui venait de derrière, et il y avait un vaillant garçon, tout petit, d’environ dix-huit ans, et il était... il–il a simplement escaladé toute la ligne; il était très fort et il a occupé la première position. Sans doute que cette vieille main affaiblie, toute ridée là, a essuyé les larmes des yeux de plusieurs bébés en pleur. Elle est passée par de rudes épreuves.» Elle s’est simplement tenue là et m’a regardé, elle n’a pas du tout ouvert la bouche ni dit quoi que ce soit. Tout à coup, elle s’est mise à sourire; elle a baissé la main et a saisi une béquille et avec l’autre main elle a saisi l’autre, puis elle me les a tendues, et elle s’en est allée, marchant aussi normalement que n’importe qui d’autre, sans prière ni rien; elle a cru tout simplement. | E-10 The really, the next was an old Indian woman coming from the back, and there was a little bitty, stout, about eighteen year old boy was--he--he just climbed over all of it; he was pretty strong; he got next in line. And I said, "Son, you--you--you're--you're not next, this old woman's next." I couldn't make him understand it. And Brother Jackson pretty good little man himself, you know, carpenter, so he just got the little lad and pulled him out of the way.
Here come that old Indian woman; I never forget that as long as I live. Her crutches was made out of two broom sticks with some--a piece of wood tacked over the top and rags wrapped on it, to pad. And she couldn't... It must've been an arthritis condition, and she put these two sticks out. She looked to be at least eighty. And she put these two sticks out, and she'd make a step, and then--then she'd set the other... I just stood real still, and she walked right up like this to me, and she was shaking, like that, and she looked up at me like that. Oh, my. I seen them old plaited hair, gray you know, them old deep wrinkles in her cheeks, and the tears cutting away through like the--the river there, going down, dropping off her face like that, and I thought, "Somebody's mother... No doubt, that old feeble hand there wrinkled up, has stroked the tears back out of a many crying baby's eyes, the hardships she's went through." She just stood and looked at me and never opened her mouth and said a thing. All at once she just started smiling, reached down and got a hold of one crutch, and one with the other one, handed them over to me and went walking out of there as good as anybody else, no prayer or nothing, she just believed. You remember...

E-11 Et vers, je pense, c’était presque à l’aube; j’étais là toute la nuit, et cela... vers quatre heures. Quatre heures du matin. C’était avant le coucher du soleil, cet après-midi-là. Nous avons prié toute cette nuit-là jusqu’à quatre heures le lendemain matin. J’ai remarqué que tous les Indiens qui venaient étaient trempés jusqu’à cette hauteur, j’ai dit: «Qu’est-ce qu’ils ont?» Et elle a dit: «Eh bien, au départ, ils pensaient que vous étiez un trompeur, mais, a-t-elle dit, maintenant, a-t-elle dit, il y a un gué là en bas. Mais, a-t-elle dit, les gens courent dans la Grande Prairie, prendre leurs bien-aimés, et ils traversent la rivière en pataugeant à minuit, transportant leurs bien-aimés jusqu’ici pour qu’on prie pour eux.» Ils se lèveront au Jugement avec la génération des Blancs et les condamneront à tout moment, puisque certains de ces gens ne veulent même pas mettre leurs pieds à une réunion.
| E-11 And along about, I guess it was nearly daylight, I'd been there all night, and that--about four o'clock. Four o'clock in the morning, that's before sundown that afternoon. We had been praying all that night till four o'clock the next morning. I noticed all the Indians coming in, was wet way up around in here, I said, "What's the matter with them?"
And she said, "Well, at first they thought you were false," but said, "now," said, "the ford's a way down." But said, "They run out into the prairies, and got their loved ones, and they're wading across the river at midnight packing their loved ones over to be prayed for."
They'll rise in the judgment with the generation of white people and condemn them any time, that some of these people that won't even darken the door to a meeting.

E-12 Et je me rappelle donc un cas là-bas, je... Excusez-moi de prendre du temps. Mais «la foi vient de ce qu’on entend.» Nous vainquons à cause de la Parole du–de notre témoignage. Et j’ai dit à l’un des gars, c’était le suivant dans la ligne, j’ai dit: «Parlez-vous anglais?»«Un peu.»J’ai dit: «Ne craignez-vous pas d’attraper la pneumonie?»«Non.» Il a dit: «Jésus-Christ a pris soin de moi; j’ai amené mon papa. Hum.»J’ai dit: «Croyez-vous que Jésus-Christ guérira votre papa?»«Ouais. C’est pourquoi je l’ai amené.»J’ai dit: «Ça va.» Je l’ai fait passer, j’ai dit: «Faites-le passer.» J’ai juste imposé les mains à ce vieil homme (avec ses cheveux tressés) qui était étendu là, tremblant comme ceci, vous savez. Je lui ai imposé les mains, j’ai dit: «Ô Dieu, sois miséricordieux envers lui; guéris-le pour l’amour de Christ.» «Emportez-le.» J’ai dit: «Que le suivant approche.» Ils venaient en traversant comme cela. Quelques minutes après, j’ai entendu une grande clameur là dehors parmi ces Indiens; on ne pouvait simplement plus voir ces Indiens après l’endroit où s’arrêtaient les lumières. J’ai regardé là dehors, le vieil homme portait la planche sur son épaule et s’en allait, saluant tout le monde d’un geste de la main.
| E-12 And so I remember one instance there, I... Just excuse me for taking the time. But "Faith cometh by hearing." We overcome by the Word of the--of our testimony. And this was a very outstanding case. There was an old Indian, they'd a board like this and it had four sticks across this board, didn't have a stretcher to put the old fellow on, so they let him lay his arms up here, just as gray as he could be, and his knees across the other part of the board. And there was two great big fellows packing him, just as wet as they could be. And I said to one of the fellows; he was next in line coming up; I said, "You speak English?"
"A little."
I said, "Aren't you afraid you take pneumonia?"
"Nope." Said, "Jesus Christ has take care of me; I brought my dad. Hmmm."
I said, "You believe Jesus Christ will heal your dad?"
"Yep. That's why I brought him."
Said, "All right." Passed him by, I said, "Pass him by." I just laid hands upon the old fellow, that plaited hair laying there and shaking like this, you know. I laid my hands upon him; I said, "God, be merciful to him; heal him for Christ's sake." "Take him on." I said, "Let the next come." They come across like that. Few minutes I heard a great rally out there amongst them Indians; you just couldn't see from end of the lights for Indians. Looked out there, the old man had the board on his own shoulder going along waving at everybody.

E-13 Vous voyez? Nous cherchons à rendre la chose trop compliquée. Nous tendons carrément la main par-dessus la chose, essayant de la trouver. Voyez-vous? Nous cherchons à rendre la chose mystérieuse alors qu’elle est si simple. Plus vous êtes simple, meilleur vous serez. Ne sautez simplement pas sur cela, n’essayez pas de vous précipiter; recevez simplement la chose; c’est aussi simple que ça. Vous allez... vous sautez par-dessus cela en essayant. C’est ce que font nos théologiens: ils sautent par-dessus la chose, essayant de trouver quelque chose qui est juste à côté d’eux. Voyez-vous? C’est aussi simple que ça. La Bible dit que même un insensé ne devrait pas s’y perdre. C’est exact. C’est aussi simple que ça, l’Evangile.
| E-13 See? We try to make it too complicated. We reach plumb over the top of it trying to find it. See? We try to make it some mysterious thing when it's just simple. The more simple you are, better off you'll be. Just don't jump at it, try to press yourself; just receive it; it's just that easy. You go--you jump over it trying. That's what our theologians do: jump over the top of it trying to find what's setting right next to you. See? So simple. The Bible said even a fool shouldn't err like. That's right. It's so simple, the Gospel.

E-14 Oh! je vous assure, je... lorsque nous traverserons de l’autre côté, je me demande vraiment ce qu’il en sera quand nous serons arrivés là. Ici... Un avion peut faire escale, quelqu’un à bord dit: «Frère Branham, je souffrais de telle maladie quand...» Par ici à la gare, à ... J’étais très loin au nord de la Colombie- Britannique, je revenais d’une partie de chasse, après une réunion. Et j’avais une barbe longue comme ça, je n’avais pas pris bain depuis quatre semaines. Je–je–je puais comme un cheval, et j’étais simplement... Nous avions vingt et un chevaux là-bas au fond, et nous devions donc rester tout le temps avec ces chevaux, et je suis venu et je tirais les paniers de bât; je portais un vieux chapeau affalé à cause des pluies et de la neige, et ma moustache grisonnante était longue comme ça, et–et tout–tout aussi sale que possible. Et nous nous sommes arrêtés à une petite ville appelée East Pines, très loin au nord de la Colombie-Britannique, sur l’autoroute Hallocane. Et j’ai vu venir des Indiens, portant ces mocassins blancs et marchant comme cela; et j’ai vu une petite femme au visage rouge qui ne cessait de me regarder. Je ne sais pas si elle était une Esquimaude ou une Indienne. Elle a continué de me regarder comme ceci. Et je me suis simplement détourné. Je ne comprends pas comment elle a reconnu mon visage, avec la barbe partout comme cela. Je tirais les paniers de bât, et j’ai senti quelqu’un me tapoter l’épaule. Je me suis retourné, et elle a dit: «Excusez-moi, n’êtes-vous pas frère Branham?»J’ai dit: «Si, madame.» J’ai dit: «Comment m’avez-vous donc reconnu?» Elle a dit: «Je vois votre photo.»J’ai dit: «Où?» Elle a dit: «Le traîneau tiré par des chiens passe ici une fois l’an, et ils ont amené votre livre intitulé: Un prophète visite l’Afrique.»
| E-14 Oh, I tell you I--when we cross the other side I just wonder what it'll be when we get over there. Here... A airplane can stop, somebody aboard say, "Brother Branham, I was suffering with so and so when..." Over here at train station, down... I was way up at Northern British Columbia, had been back on a hunting trip after a meeting. And I had beard that long, and hadn't took a bath for four weeks, I--I--I smelt like the horse, and I was just... We had twenty-one head of horses back in there, and so we just had to stay with them horses all the time, and I come out and I was pulling up on the paniers, an old flop down hat from them rains and snows, and whiskers about that long, turning gray, and--and just--just dirty as could be. And we stopped at a little place called East Pines, way back up in the Northern British Columbia on the Hallocane Highway.
And I seen some Indians coming by, them white moccasins on and walking like that, and I seen a little red face woman kept looking at me. I don't know whether she was Eskimo or Indian. She kept looking at me like this. And I just looked around. I don't see how she ever seen my face, the beard out all like that. I pulled up the paniers, and I felt somebody tap me on the shoulder. I turned around; she said, "Pardon me, aren't you Brother Branham?"
I said, "Yes, ma'am." I said, "How did you ever know me?"
She said, "I see your picture."
I said, "Where?"
She said, "The dog sled passes through once a year, and it brought your book called, 'The Prophet Visits Africa.'"

J’ai senti quelqu’un me faire me retourner. J’ai regardé et cet... On dirait que de tout petits yeux se trouvaient derrière toute cette fourrure. Cet homme m’a regardé en face; il a dit: «Oui, je crois que je ne me trompe pas.» J’ai dit: «Que voulez-vous dire, monsieur?» Il a dit: «Vous êtes frère Branham, n’est-ce pas?» J’ai dit: «Oui, monsieur. Comment m’avez-vous reconnu?» Il s’est simplement mis à pleurer; les larmes coulaient sur cette barbe, et il m’a étreint comme cela. Il a dit: «Je suis votre frère.» Il a dit: «J’ai un de vos livres. J’ai sept ou huit cabanes le long de la ligne de mes pièges; cela me prend deux semaines pour faire un tour avec un traîneau tiré par des chiens.» Il a dit: «A la lueur d’une chandelle, plusieurs nuits je me suis tenu à genoux près d’une vieille chandelle de suif là dehors à ces endroits, et j’ai prié pour vous.» Il a dit: «J’ai reçu le baptême du Saint-Esprit, a-t-il dit, je suis votre frère.» «Quand tous nous arriverons au ciel, Ô quel jour de réjouissance ce sera! Quand tous nous verrons Jésus, Nous chanterons et crierons victoire.» N’est-ce pas? Oh! la la! Dieu a Ses enfants autour du monde, partout. Montez dans un navire à vapeur et commencez quelque part... J’étais en Jamaï-... Oh! j’arrête simplement, c’est... nous nous tenons simplement debout et nous continuons à témoigner. Où que les gens soient, peu importe les milieux, quelque part quelqu’un a entendu parler de la puissance de Dieu pour guérir les malades.
| E-15 Brother Rasmusson, did you ever hear of him? He lost the key to his car, and I went in at Dawson Creek. Oh, it's a big city, about five hundred, six hundred people. And right at the beginning of Hallocane Road, and I seen a big key sign, and I said, "Maybe I can get the man to make a key." There stood an old sourdough, oh, my, his face, his nose big as the end of my hand nearly, swollen, red, big parka on, and I asked this man; I said, "Could you make a key for a car?"
He said, "No, sir, I can't."
I said, "Thank you." I stepped out; I felt somebody turn me around. Look and this--looked like little bitty eyes set back behind all that fur. That man looked me in the face; he said, "Yea, I believe I'm right."
I said, "What do you mean, sir?"
Said, "You're Brother Branham, aren't you?"
I said, "Yes, sir. How'd you know me?" He just started crying, the tears run off that beard, hugged me like that. He said, "I'm your brother." He said, "I got one of your books. I got seven or eight shacks on my trap line, takes me two weeks to make it around with a dog sled." Said, "By candlelight a many night I knelt down by an old grease candle out there in them places and prayed for you." He said, "I got the baptism of the Holy Ghost," he said, "I'm your brother."
"When we all get to heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be. When we all see Jesus, we'll sing and shout the victory." Won't we? My, my. Around the world, everywhere, God has His children. Get on a steamship and start somewhere...
I was over in Jamai... Oh, I just stop, that's--we just stand and keep testifying. Wherever they are, whatever walks of life, somewhere somebody's heard about the power of God to heal the sick.

E-16 Ce soir, je ne souhaiterais pas... Je ne vais pas prêcher, parce que je voudrais prier pour les malades ce soir. Combien ici n’ont jamais assisté à l’une des réunions auparavant? Faites voir la main. Oh! la la! nous ne pourrions pas tous être à un endroit en même temps, c’est... C’est donc presque la moitié de la foule qui n’a jamais assisté aux réunions auparavant. Nous vous souhaitons certainement la bienvenue ici, mon frère et ma soeur pèlerins. Nous sommes, vous et nous, concitoyens de ce grand Royaume de Dieu, nous nous réjouissons de Son économie, de la Présence de Dieu et du baptême du Saint-Esprit. Je... Quant à la prière pour les malades, je ne prétends pas être un guérisseur; il n’y a qu’un seul Guérisseur; c’est Dieu. Et nous sommes simplement envoyés en tant que Ses serviteurs. Mais je proclame que Jésus-Christ revient très bientôt. Je L’attends. S’Il ne vient pas ce soir, je L’attendrai le matin. S’Il ne vient pas cette semaine, je L’attendrai la semaine prochaine. S’Il ne vient pas cette année, je L’attendrai l’année prochaine. Je veux être prêt au moment de Sa Venue.
| E-16 I wish tonight not... I'm not going to preach because I want to pray for the sick tonight. But just to get you accustomed now to the--to the meeting for the next fifteen minutes or so, I want to call your attention to a Scripture found in Saint Matthew the 14th chapter and the 27th verse. And I would now that you'd just be as reverent as possible. See? Listen now and catch on to the words.
How many's here has never been in one of the meetings before, let's see your hands. Oh, my, we all couldn't get in the place at one time, it's... So nearly half the crowd has never been in the meeting before. We certainly welcome you here, my pilgrim brother and sister. We are fellow citizens with you in this great Kingdom of God, enjoying His economy of the Presence of God and the baptism of the Holy Spirit. I...
As praying for the sick, I do not claim to be a healer, there's only one Healer; that's God. And we're just sent as His servants. But I do claim that Jesus Christ is coming right away. I'm looking for Him. If He doesn't come tonight, I'll be looking for Him in the morning. If He doesn't come this week, I'll look for Him next week. If He doesn't come this year, I'll be looking for Him next year. I want to be ready when He comes.

E-17 Et je crois qu’Il a fait cette promesse: «Ce qui arriva du temps de Sodome arrivera de même à la Venue du Fils de l’homme.» Et nous voyons qu’à Sodome, le... il y avait euh–euh–euh des pécheurs, une bande de pécheurs, des Sodomites. Puis, il y avait un groupe de chrétiens, des croyants tièdes qui représentaient l’église, qui vivaient parmi eux. Lot et son peuple, un peuple saint, les péchés de la ville tourmentaient son âme juste... Puis, Abraham avait un groupe élu, appelé à sortir. Et chacun d’eux avait reçu un signe. Et je crois que le signe que l’Ange du Seigneur a accompli, étant manifesté dans la chair là-bas, c’était le signe de la manifestation de Christ dans Son Eglise aux derniers jours. Or, Jésus a dit dans Saint Jean 14.12: «Vous ferez aussi les oeuvres que Je fais.» Il a aussi dit: «Encore un peu de temps, et le monde (l’ordre du monde) ne Me verra plus; mais vous, vous Me verrez (l’Eglise, les croyants, les appelés à sortir, les élus), car Je (‘ Je’, pas quelqu’un d’autre, mais ‘Je’, pronom personnel), Je serai avec vous, même en vous, jusqu’à la fin du monde.» Hébreux 13.8 dit: «Jésus-Christ est le même hier, aujourd’hui et éternellement.» Si donc Il est aujourd’hui le même qu’Il était à l’époque, Il est le même Sauveur, le même Guérisseur, le même Souverain Sacrificateur, le même Seigneur; Il est exactement comme Il était à l’époque; seulement, au lieu d’être dans un corps physique appelé Jésus, Dieu vit dans Son Eglise, dans votre corps, dans mon corps, qu’Il a sanctifiés avec Son propre Sang, afin qu’Il puisse nous purifier par le lavage d’eau au moyen de la Parole et présenter à Dieu une Eglise sans tache ni ride. Afin qu’Il... «Les oeuvres que Je fais, il les fera... Voici les miracles qui accompagneront ceux qui auront cru,» le surnaturel.
| E-17 And I believe that He promised, "As it was in the days of Sodom, so would it be in the coming of the Son of man." And we find out that in Sodom the--there was a--a--a sinners, a bunch of sinners, Sodomites. Then there was a bunch of Christians, lukewarm believers which represented the church living among them. Lot and his people, holiness people, sins of the city vexed his righteous soul... Then there was an elected group which Abraham had, called out. And each one of them received a sign. And I believe that the sign that the Angel of the Lord did, manifested in flesh there, was the sign of the manifestation of Christ in His church at the last days.
Now, Jesus said, Saint John 14:12, "The works that I do, shall you do also." He also said, "A little while and the world (the world order) will see Me no more; yet ye shall see Me (The church, the believers, the called out, the elected.), for I ('I,' not someone else but 'I,' personal pronoun.), I'll be with you, even in you to the end of the world." Hebrews 13:8 said, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever." Then if He is the same today as He was then, He's the same Saviour, the same Healer, the same High Priest, the same Lord, He's just as He was then, only instead of being in a corporal body named Jesus, God is living in His church, your body, my body, that He sanctified with His own Blood that He might cleanse us by the washing of the water by the Word and present to God a church without spot or wrinkle. That He... "The works that I do shall he do... These signs shall follow them that believe," the supernatural.

E-18 Très bien. Dans Matthieu 14.27:
Jésus leur dit aussitôt: ...N’ayez pas peur... rassurez-vous, c’est moi; n’ayez pas peur!N’ayez pas peur; c’est Moi. Eh bien, gardez donc cela à l’esprit avec révérence, et particulièrement vous qui êtes malades. Et vous qui n’êtes pas sauvés, qui n’êtes pas encore entrés dans la communion de l’Esprit, gardez cela à l’esprit, et je vais me dépêcher aussi vite que possible, et je vais appeler la ligne de prière.

And straightway Jesus said unto them,... Be not afraid--be of a good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.
"Be not afraid; it is I." Now, carry that in your mind now reverently and you especially that's sick. And you that's not saved, hasn't come into the fellowship of the Spirit yet, carry that in your mind, and I'll hurry just quick as I can, call the prayer line.

Je peux voir les muscles forts de ce pêcheur costaud tandis qu’il pousse la petite barque par la poupe, et que la proue de celle-ci s’introduit dans l’eau pendant que les gens, se tenant sur la berge, font au revoir de la main et crient. Lorsque finalement il déplace la petite barque du gravier jusque dans l’eau, il saute en plein milieu de la barque où son frère André est assis à côté d’une rame, et il prend place. Ils donnent un ou deux coups de rame et puis ils font au revoir de la main à ceux qui sont sur la berge, puis ils donnent un ou deux coups de rame et font au revoir de la main à ceux qui sont sur la berge.
| E-19 Watch this conversation. Let's break in, and now make a little drama out of it so the young folks can catch it. The sun had just set, or was setting across the horizon in the west when its last glimpse is on the Sea of Galilee. I can see the brawny muscles of the big fisherman as he was pushing the little boat by the stern, as the bow of it pushed out into the water, the people standing on the banks waving and crying. As he finally got the little boat off the gravel, into the water, climbs up to the middle of the boat where his brother Andrew was setting by the side of an oar, and took his place... They'd make a stroke or two and then wave to the people on the bank, stroke or two and wave to the people on the bank.

E-20 Quelque temps après, alors que le crépuscule commence à s’installer, ils sont alors hors de vue, et ç’a dû être Jean le jeune; (Il était le plus jeune d’entre eux.) ç’a dû être lui qui, après avoir attendu un instant, a arrêté de ramer pendant quelques instants pour reprendre le souffle, comme ils ont encore une bonne distance pour traverser la mer de Galilée. Et lorsqu’il s’est arrêté pour reprendre le souffle, il a certainement dit quelque chose comme ceci, tout en essuyant la sueur de son visage, il dit: «Frères, nous pouvons être assurés que cet Homme que nous suivons n’est pas un imposteur. Aujourd’hui, lorsque je me suis penché sur Son épaule et que je L’observais prendre ces petits poissons et les couper en deux, j’ai observé, dès qu’Il coupait, un autre morceau de poisson cuit poussait. Et je L’ai vu prendre ce pain, le briser et le tendre aux frères. Chaque fois qu’Il coupait un morceau de pain, dès que Sa main s’éloignait, un autre morceau de pain était là.» J’aimerais vous poser une question: quel genre d’atome libérait-Il? Pas le blé, le pain déjà cuit. Cela n’était pas passé par le four; c’était comme lors de Son premier miracle à Cana. Cette eau serait éventuellement devenue du vin, elle montait dans le cep jusque dans le raisin, qui est pressé, et ça devient du vin. Mais Il a contourné tout cela; Il était Lui-même le Créateur. Ainsi, lors de la grande Résurrection Il contournera papa, maman pour donner naissance à ceci. Il parlera et nous sortirons de la poussière, comme Il le fit pour Lazare.
| E-20 After while as dusk begin to set in, they were out of sight now, and it must've been young John; he was the youngest among them. It must've been he that waited a moment, stopped his oaring for just a few moments to catch a breath, as they had quite a distance yet to go across Galilee. And when he stopped to get his breath, he must've said something like this, as he wiped the perspiration from his face, said, "Brethren, we can rest assure that the Man that we're following is not a fake. Today when I stood over His shoulder and watched Him take those little fishes and break them in two, and watch, no sooner than He broke, there come another part of a cooked fish out. And I see Him take that bread, and break that bread, and hand to the brethren. Every time He broke a piece of bread off, no sooner than His hand left, there was another piece of bread there."
I want to ask you, what kind of an atom did He turn loose? Not wheat, bread already baked. It bypassed the oven, like He did His first miracle in Canaan. That water would've eventually become wine, it went up through the vines into the grape, crushed out, become wine. But He bypassed all of that; He was a Creator Himself. So in the great resurrection He will bypass papa, mama give birth to this. He will speak and we'll come from the dust, like He did Lazarus.

E-21 Et Jean doit avoir dit: «Vous savez, aujourd’hui, c’est le jour où tout doute a été ôté de mon esprit. Peu importe que les rabbins et les docteurs de ce jour disent qu’Il n’est pas Dieu, je suis convaincu qu’Il L’est. En effet, je me souviens de ma mère lorsqu’elle me lisait les Saintes Ecritures, dans les rouleaux de l’Exode, comment lorsque les gens avaient faim (comme l’étaient ces gens aujourd’hui), Dieu faisait descendre du Ciel du pain et l’étendait sur le sol. Alors, quand j’ai vu cela, j’ai demandé à ma mère: ‘Maman, Dieu a-t-Il un grand four là-haut pour briser... cuire ce pain?’ Elle disait: ‘ Non, chéri, Dieu est un Créateur.’ Et quand je L’ai vu briser de nouveau ce pain aujourd’hui, j’ai compris que c’était ce même Créateur. Ne ressemblait-Il pas à Jéhovah lorsqu’Il se tenait là, regardant la multitude et brisant ce pain pour le distribuer? Cela m’a rappelé les histoires de la Bible que ma mère me lisait au sujet de Jéhovah qui nourrissait Son peuple du pain du Ciel. Et aujourd’hui, Jéhovah reste le même; en effet, aujourd’hui, frères, nous avons vu Jéhovah briser le pain et le donner de nouveau à Son peuple en le multipliant. Il doit certainement être ce qu’Il déclare être, le Fils de Dieu.»
| E-21 And John must've said, "You know, today has been a day that's settled all doubts in my mind. No matter how much that the rabbis and the teachers of this day say that He isn't God, I know He is. For I remember my mother reading me out of the sacred Scriptures, in the scrolls of Exodus, how that when they were hungry, like these people were today, God brought bread down out of heaven, and laid it up on the ground. So when I seen, I said to mother, 'Mother, has God got a big oven up there to break--bake that bread?' She said, 'No honey, God is a Creator.' And when I seen Him break that bread again today, I knowed that was that same Creator. Did not He look like Jehovah when He stood there looking upon the multitude and breaking this bread and passing it out? I was minded of the Bible stories that my mother used to read to me about Jehovah feeding His people bread out of the heavens. And today Jehovah remains the same, 'cause today, brethren, we have seen Jehovah break bread and give it to His people again and multiply. He surely must be what He says He is, the Son of God."

E-22 Et comme Jean le jeune était à ce moment-là interrompu un instant par Simon Pierre, qui avait toujours quelque chose à dire, ce dernier dit: «Eh bien, pendant que nous nous reposons un peu, je voudrais donner mon témoignage personnel étant donné que Jean a donné le sien. Je me rappelle que mon frère André qui est assis ici me disait: ‘Tu devrais aller entendre un prophète prêcher, prédisant qu’un Messie vient.’ Et j’ai dit: ‘Quel genre d’habits porte-t-il?’ Il a dit: ‘Il porte une peau de mouton; il est sorti du désert; c’est lui l’Elie qui devait venir, d’après ce qui a été annoncé. Je le crois.’» «Puis un jour, il est revenu me parler de la venue d’un autre Homme, un jeune Homme d’environ son âge et tout, concernant une espèce de lumière mystique au-dessus de Lui ou quelque chose de ce genre.» Et il a dit: «Ce prophète a dit qu’il a entendu une voix dire: ‘Celui-ci est Mon Fils bien-aimé.’ Comment serai-je certain de ce qu’il faut croire, de ce que ce prophète a dit? Je ne l’ai jamais entendu, je ne sais rien à son sujet, j’ai donc rejeté la chose en bloc comme étant un tas de non-sens, et je me suis dit que mon frère était tombé dans l’extrémisme.
| E-22 And as the young John was stopped then a moment by Simon Peter who always had to say something, and he said, "Well, while we're resting a moment, I'd like to give my personal testimony being that John has give his. I remember when Andrew, my brother setting here, used to tell me, 'You should go down and hear a prophet preach, predicting that there is coming a Messiah.' And I said, 'What kind of clothes does he wear?' Said, 'He had a sheepskin around him, come out of the wilderness; he's the Elijah that was spoke of to come; I believe it.'"
"Then one day he come back and told me about another man coming down, a young fellow about his age and all about some kind of a mystic light over the top of him or something." And said, "This prophet said he heard a voice saying, 'This is My beloved Son.' How do I know what to believe what that prophet said? I never heard him, don't know nothing about him, so I just dismissed the whole thing as a bunch of nonsense, and I thought my brother had went off on the deep end."

E-23 «Mais un jour, Il est venu au bord de la mer. Et je me suis dit: ‘Eh bien, je pense que je vais aller là; ce n’est pas très loin de mon chemin. Je vais y aller pour voir ce que ce Type a à dire.’» Dès que je suis arrivé là, j’ai compris que cet Homme avait quelque chose de différent. Et j’avais dit une chose avant d’y aller. Je me souviens qu’avant de sortir, il disait: ‘Simon, mon fils, agenouillons-nous et demandons à Jéhovah à qui appartiennent tous les poissons de remplir nos filets de poissons ce soir, car j’en ai besoin. Nous avons besoin de pain à la maison. Et je... Nous avons besoin de quelques poissons; prions donc, Simon.’ Oh! nous nous agenouillions sur la berge et priions.
| E-23 "But one day He came down to the seaside. And I thought, 'Well, I believe I'll walk up there; it ain't very much out of my way. I'll walk up and see what this Fellow's got to say.' No sooner than I walked up there I knowed there was something different about that Man. And I said one thing before I went up there. I remember my old daddy; he was a great old Pharisee as all you brethren know. And I remember when we used to fish out here in the sea. He was very religious. I remember before going out he'd say, 'Simon, my little son, let us kneel and ask Jehovah Who owns all the fish, that He will fill our nets tonight with fishes, for I need it. We need bread at home. And I--we have need of some fishes, so let's pray, Simon.' How we used to kneel on the bank and pray."

E-24 «Je l’ai observé lorsque sa chevelure commençait à tomber, à grisonner. Finalement, un jour il s’est assis au bord de la barque, après avoir fait une belle prise et que Dieu avait exaucé la prière, et il a dit: ‘Simon, mon petit garçon, papa se fait vieux; très bientôt je vais devoir comparaître Là-Haut. Et maintenant voici, Simon, voici comment tu Le reconnaîtras.’ «Et je me souviens que j’étais assis sur son genou et que je le regardais dans les yeux tandis qu’ils tremblaient et se remplissaient de larmes. ‘ Papa, comment sera-t-Il?«‘Il sera juste un Homme ordinaire et peut-être qu’Il ne sera pas aimé parmi notre peuple. Il sera un Homme de douleur, habitué à la souffrance. Il sera abandonné et méprisé. Mais, Simon, beaucoup d’hommes seront abandonnés et méprisés, mais cet Homme sera un Prophète, car Moïse a dit: ‘ L’Eternel, ton Dieu, suscitera un prophète comme moi.’Moïse était un type parfait de Christ: législateur, sacrificateur, libérateur, et ainsi de suite, comme la Bible le dit de lui. «Et Moïse a dit que Dieu lui avait dit qu’Il susciterait un prophète comme lui, et que ce dernier sera plus qu’un prophète. Il sera un Dieu-Prophète. Et tu te souviendras de Lui, oh! Moïse, comme tout notre peuple a... ou plutôt, ne l’oublie pas, Simon, comme tout notre peuple sait que c’est Dieu qui envoie les prophètes. Et les prophètes ont... c’est lui qui révèle la Parole de Dieu. Il est un interprète divin de la Parole divine. Et si ce prophète dit quelque chose et que Dieu confirme cela, alors ce prophète vient de Dieu. En effet, s’il dit quelque chose qui est la Parole de Dieu, une promesse de Dieu, et que Dieu se tourne vers ce prophète et confirme la chose et dit que c’est vrai, alors écoute-Le, parce que c’est cela notre commission, Simon. Ne sois pas séduit, Simon. Mais maintenant, Simon, quand tu verras ces choses arriver, observe ce prophète.’»
| E-24 "I watched him when his hair begin to slip away, turning gray. Finally one day he set down on the side of the boat after a big catch, that God had answered prayer, and he said, 'Simon, my little boy, daddy's getting old, and I must answer my summons pretty soon on high. I've always prayed, Simon, that I'd live to see the day when the Messiah appeared. Now, Simon, there's no doubt but what there'll be lot of confusion in that day. There'll be all kinds of things falsely rise up just before that coming Messiah. But I want you to be... I believe you'll see it, Simon. So I--I want you to be sure of one thing, Simon, don't never accept it 'less it's got the sign of the Messiah. Be sure that that Messiahic sign is Scriptural. And now here, Simon, here's how you're going to know Him.'"
"And I remember setting on his knee and looking in his eyes as they quivered and filled with tears. 'Papa, what will He look like?'
"'He will just be an ordinary Man and perhaps not liked amongst our people. He will be a Man of sorrow, acquainted with grief. He will be rejected and despised. But, Simon, they'll be many man rejected and despised, but this Man will be a prophet, for Moses said, 'The Lord your God shall raise up a prophet liken unto me.'"
Moses was a perfect type of Christ, lawgiver, priest, deliverer, so forth, as the Bible reads of him.
"And Moses said that God told him that they'd raise up a prophet like him, and this will be more than a prophet. He will be a God prophet. And you'll remember him, oh, Moses, as all of our people have--or you'll remember him, Simon, as all of our people does know prophets are sent from God. And prophets have--he is a revelator of the Divine Word. He's a Divine interpreter of the Divine Word. And if this prophet says something and God backs it up, then that prophet's from God. Because if he says something that's the Word of God, a promise of God, and God turns around by that prophet and backs it up and says it's true, then you hear Him, 'cause that's our commission, Simon. Don't be deceived, Simon. But now, Simon, when you see them things comes to pass, you watch this prophet.'"

E-25 «Et ce jour-là, c’est comme si tout me revenait à l’esprit, car mon père est mort depuis des années. Mais quand je suis arrivé là et que je me suis mis à regarder ce petit Homme (Il n’avait aucune beauté pour attirer nos regards; nous avons pour ainsi dire détourné nos visages de Lui), je me suis dit: ‘ C’est très exactement ce que papa m’avait dit que l’Ecriture avait annoncé à Son sujet. Il n’était pas différent de tous les autres hommes; Il paraissait juste comme les autres hommes.’ Mais quand je me suis approché de Lui, Il m’a regardé droit en face et a dit: ‘Tu t’appelles Simon. Et le nom de ton père est Jonas.’ Non seulement Il me connaissait, mais Il connaissait aussi mon vieux père qui était un homme pieux et qui était déjà mort. Je suis tombé à Ses pieds, et j’ai dit: ‘Tu es le Messie.’» J’ai dit: «Cela a réglé le problème pour moi. Car, je sais que mon père m’a enseigné les Ecritures, que ce serait là le signe du Messie.»
| E-25 "And that day all that seemed to flash back to me, for my dad's been dead for years. But when I walked up there, begin to look at that little Fellow, no beauty we should desire, we hid as it was, our face, I thought, 'That's just exactly what dad told me the Scripture said about Him. No different from any other man, looked just like other men.' But when I walked up into His face, He looked straight at me and said, 'Your name is Simon. And your father's name is Jonas.' Not only did He know me, but He knowed that godly old father of mine that had passed on. I fell at His feet, said, 'You are the Messiah.'" Said, "That settled it for me. For I know my daddy had taught me the Scriptures, that that would be the sign of the Messiah."

E-26 Ç’a dû être Philippe, cette fois-là, qui a dit: «Oui, Simon, je me tenais là et j’ai vu cela. Sais-tu ce que j’avais fait? J’ai contourné la colline pour aller trouver notre frère Nathanaël qui est assis ici. Nathanaël, te rappelles-tu cela?»
«Oh! oui, Philippe; eh bien, je me le rappelle.»
«Je me rappelle que j’ai contourné la montagne, et je–j’ai trouvé Nathanaël en prière sous un arbre. Et j’ai dit: ‘Nathanaël, viens voir Qui nous avons trouvé, Jésus de Nazareth, Fils de Joseph.’ Et te souviens-tu de ce que tu as dit, Nathanaël?»
«Eh bien, effectivement je m’en souviens. J’ai dit: ‘Peut-il venir de Nazareth quelque chose de bon, du milieu de ces saints exaltés, ou peu importe le nom que vous voulez leur donner? Un Messie viendra, Il viendra ici jusqu’auprès de Caïphe, le souverain sacrificateur. Il viendra se révéler à notre organisation. Il serait donc impossible que quelque chose soit élevé là-bas, là-dedans, un quelconque fils de Joseph ou que sais-je encore qui puisse être le Messie. Et tu te souviens, je me souviens aussi de ce que tu m’as dit, Philippe.» Qu’était-ce? «Tu as dit: ‘Viens, et vois.’»
C’est la meilleure idée. Ne restez pas à la maison à critiquer; venez voir par vous-même. Venez, examinez la chose par la Parole, voyez si elle est correcte. Voilà une bonne théologie. Venez voir par vous-même. Tu as dit: «Oui, je me souviens de cela.»
Et il a dit: «Te rappelles-tu de quoi nous parlions en venant, Nathanaël?» La barque tanguait, les petites vagues envahissaient à présent la mer. «Oui, je me rappelle.»
| E-26 Must've been Philip about that time said, "Yes, Simon, I was standing seen that. You know what I done? I took around the hill to find our brother Nathanael setting up here. Nathanael, remember it?"
"Oh, yes, Philip, well, I remember it."
"I remember I went around the mountain, and I--I found Nathanael a praying under a tree. And I said, 'Nathanael, come, see Who we have found, Jesus of Nazareth, the Son of Joseph.' And you remember what you said, Nathanael?"
"Well do I remember. I said, Could there be any good thing come out of Nazareth amongst them holy-rollers, or whatever you want to call it. There be any Messiah coming, He'd come up here to Caiaphas the high priest. He'd come make Himself known to our organization. So there couldn't be anything raised up down there in there that, any son of Joseph or so forth, could ever be any Messiah. And you remember, I remember what you told me too, Philip." What was it? "Said, 'Come and see.'"
That's the best idea. Don't stay home and criticize, come, find out for yourself. Come, examine it by the Word, see if it's right. That's good theology. Come, see for yourself. Said, "Yes, I remember it."
And said, "You remember what we talked about coming along, Nathanael?" The boat was rocking along, the little waves now going across the sea. "Yeah, I remember."

E-27 Ils donnaient tous leur témoignage personnel au sujet de Jésus, ce qu’ils pensaient de Lui. Et ainsi, il a dit: «Oui, je me rappelle bien, oui je me rappelle. Nous parlions de toi, Simon, oui. Je...» Il a dit: «Te souviens-tu de ce vieux pêcheur qui ne savait même pas écrire son nom sur le reçu, quand il t’a vendu du poisson?»
«Oui.»
Il a dit: «Il lui a dit qui il était et qui était son père. Eh bien, tu sais, Nathanaël, que tu es un érudit, et tu sais que la Bible dit que le Messie sera un Dieu-Prophète, que nous Le reconnaîtrons par le signe d’un prophète.»
«Oui, je me souviens de cela. Et je me souviens que tu m’as dit qu’il se pourrait qu’Il dise qui je suis quand je me présenterais devant Lui. Oh! je me souviens de cela.»
«Eh bien, alors, Nathanaël, veux-tu donner ton témoignage à partir d’ici?»
«Certainement, frères.» Oh! la la! si jamais vous avez déjà rencontré Jésus, vous aimez en parler.
| E-27 They was all giving their personal testimony about Jesus, what they thought of Him. And so, he said, "Yes, well do I remember, yes I remember. We was talking about you Simon, yeah. I..." He said, "You remember that old fisherman that couldn't even sign his own name on a receipt for your fish?"
"Yeah."
Said, "He told him who he was and who his father was. Now, you know Nathanael, that you're a scholar, and you know the Bible says that the Messiah will be a God prophet; we'll know Him by the sign of a prophet."
"Yes, I remember that. And I remember you told me He might tell me who I was when I come before Him. Oh, I remember that."
"Well now, Nathanael, you want to testify from here out?"
"I certainly do, brethren." Oh, my. When you've ever met Jesus you like to tell about it.

E-28 Je peux le voir se tenir debout dans la petite barque et dire: «Frères, je suis arrivé là; je me demandais ce que cet Homme... J’avais entendu Philippe parler de Lui et je me disais: ‘ Eh bien, certainement que Philippe ne me dirait pas quelque chose de faux.’ Je suis arrivé là, j’ai vu un petit groupe de gens.» Oh! peut-être que c’était comme celui qui est ici ce soir, ou quelque chose comme cela. Il a dit: «Un petit groupe de gens se tenait là.» Peut-être que c’était dans une ligne de prière. «Et quand je suis arrivé devant Lui, Il m’a regardé et Il a dit: ‘Voici un Israélite, dans lequel il n’y a point de fraude.’ Et je me suis dit: ‘Eh bien, c’est étrange, je ne L’ai jamais vu auparavant, et Il ne m’a jamais vu auparavant. Comment sait-Il donc que je suis un Israélite? Comment le sait-Il? Je pourrais être un Arabe; je pourrais être un Grec; eh bien, nous nous habillons tous de la même façon; alors comment a-t-Il su que j’étais un Israélite et qu’il n’y avait point de fraude en moi, que j’étais un–un homme juste, honnête?’» Alors je Lui ai dit: ‘Rabbi’ (ce n’est pas que j’eusse voulu manquer d’égard, manquer de respect à Son endroit), alors j’ai dit: ‘Rabbi, comment m’as-Tu connu? Tu ne m’as jamais vu, et Tu ne me connais pas. C’est la première fois que nous nous rencontrons, comment m’as-Tu donc connu?’»
«Il a dit: ‘Avant que Philippe t’appelât, quand tu étais sous l’arbre, Je t’ai vu.’»
«Oui, a dit Philippe, je me souviens de ce que tu as fait; tu es tombé à Ses pieds et tu as dit: ‘Rabbi, Tu es le Fils de Dieu; Tu es le Roi d’Israël.’» Dis donc, vous rappelez-vous ce que Rabbi Lavinski là-bas a dit? Il a dit: ‘Eh bien, écoutez, assemblée, ne croyez pas cette histoire; c’est Béelzébul; c’est le diable dans cet homme qui fait cela. Il est un diseur de bonne aventure. Voyez-vous? Vous souvenez-vous de ce que Jésus lui a dit? Il a dit: ‘Je vous pardonne cela, mais un jour le Saint-Esprit viendra, et Il fera la même chose, et si vous dites quelque chose contre cela, cela ne vous sera jamais pardonné ni dans ce siècle ni dans le siècle à venir.» Te souviens-tu de cela?»
«Oui, oui, je me souviens de cela.»
| E-28 I can see him stand up in the little boat and say, "Brethren, I walked up there; I wondered what that Man... I'd heard Philip talk about Him and I thought, 'Well, surely Philip wouldn't tell me anything wrong.' I got there, saw a little group of people." Oh, perhaps maybe what's like here tonight, or something. Said, "A little group of people standing along." Maybe it was in a prayer line. "And when I got up before Him, He looked at me and He said, 'Behold, an Israelite, in whom there's no guile.' And I thought, 'Now, that's strange, I never saw Him before, and He never saw me before. So how does He know that I'm an Israelite? How does He know? I could be a Arab; I could be a Greek; why, we all dress alike, so how'd He know I was a Israelite and had no guile; I was a--a just, honest man?' So I said to Him, 'Rabbi,' I didn't want to disregard, disrespect Him. So I said, 'Rabbi, how did You ever know me? You've never seen me, and You don't know me. This is the first time we met, so how did You know me?'"
"He said, 'Before Philip called you, when you were under the tree, I saw you.'"
"Yes," said Philip, "I remember what you done, you fell at His feet and said, 'Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.'" Say, you remember Rabbi Lavinski over there, what he said? He said, 'Now, look, congregation, don't you believe that stuff; that's Beelzebub; that's the devil in that man, doing that. He's a fortuneteller. See? You remember what Jesus said to him? He said, 'I forgive you for that, but someday the Holy Ghost is coming, and He will do the same thing, and if you speak a word against it, it'll never be forgiven you in this world, neither in the world to come.' Remember that?"
"Yes, yes, remember that."

E-29 C’était certainement André (qui était assis à côté de Pierre), qui a alors dit: «Puis-je donner mon témoignage, frères?»

Mais Il devait passer par la Samarie. Nous nous posions toujours des questions. Eh bien, je me souviens qu’Il a dit aux sacrificateurs ce jour-là, Il a dit: ‘En vérité, en vérité, Je vous le dis, le Fils ne peut rien faire de Lui-même; Il ne fait que ce qu’Il voit faire au Père; [tout ce que le Père fait] le Fils le fait pareillement.’ Nous L’avons donc vu ce jour-là traverser une multitude d’estropiés, d’aveugles, d’infirmes, de gens aux membres tordus, de gens aux membres atrophiés, et Il a trouvé un homme qui était couché sur un grabat. Il a dit: ‘Prends ton lit et rentre chez toi.’ L’homme Lui a obéi. The priest questioned Him, and He said, 'I do nothing till the Father shows Me.' And He knowed the man had been in that condition. Brother, that settled it, that He was the... He knowed, God had showed Him what to do, showed who--where the man was, knowed he'd been that way for thirty-eight years. He wasn't paralyzed, or he wasn't crippled; he could walk. Said, 'When I'm coming down somebody steps ahead of me.'"

Alors Il a dit: ‘Femme, apporte-Moi à boire.’ Et rapidement, elle L’a regardé et a dit: ‘Il n’est pas de coutume que vous les Juifs demandiez une telle chose à nous les Samaritains; nous n’avons pas de relations, nous pratiquons la ségrégation ici. Tu ne devrais pas me dire pareille chose.’ Et Il a dit: ‘Mais si tu connaissais Celui à qui tu parles, tu M’aurais toi-même demandé à boire, et Je t’aurais donné de l’eau qui n’est pas celle que tu viens puiser ici.’ Eh bien, elle a dit: ‘Le puits est profond. Tu n’as rien pour puiser.’»

And you remember, she had just pulling up the water pot when we come up. So we wanted to see what He would do. So He said, 'Woman, bring Me a drink.' And quickly she looked at Him and said, 'It's not customary for you Jews to ask us Samaritans things like that; we have no dealing, we have segregation here. You shouldn't say such a thing as that to me.' And He said, 'But if you knew Who you were talking to, you'd ask Me for a drink, and I'd give you waters that you don't come here to draw.' Why, she said, 'The well's deep. You have nothing to draw with.'"

Et au bout de quelque temps, Il l’a regardée droit en face, et Il a dit: ‘Va, prends ton mari, et viens ici.’ Vous vous rappelez ce qu’elle a dit: ‘Je n’ai point de mari.’ Oh! nous nous sommes dit: «Eh bien, maintenant Il est pris dans quelque chose, maintenant Il est dedans. Cette femme a dit... Eh bien, nous savions que si elle disait un mensonge et que Lui était notre Dieu, notre Seigneur, nous savions que cette femme mourrait probablement juste sur-le-champ. C’est juste. Contester la Parole de Dieu juste devant Lui... Alors, nous nous sommes demandé ce qui allait arriver. Elle a dit: ‘Je n’ai point de mari.’ Il a dit: ‘ Tu as dit vrai.’ Nous nous sommes donc demandé ce qui allait arriver. Alors, nous L’avons entendu reprendre la parole et dire: ‘Tu en as eu cinq, et celui avec qui tu vis maintenant n’est pas ton mari; tu as donc dit vrai.’ Rappelez-vous l’expression du visage de cette femme, avec sa chevelure tombante, ses gros et beaux yeux qui regardaient là. Elle s’est gratté la tête. Elle a dit: ‘Seigneur...’ Eh bien, Jean, reste tranquille, je sais ce que tu as dit: ‘Elle va dire qu’Il est Béelzébul.’ Mais elle a dit: ‘Seigneur, je vois que Tu es Prophète.’»
Elle en savait plus sur Dieu que les prédicateurs. Elle a dit... dans cet état. Oh! oui, des fois, une très longue expérience théologique du séminaire vous éloigne de Lui, plus que le fait d’être dans la rue.

Then we hear Him raise up again, said, 'You've had five, and the one you're living with now is not your husband: so you said the truth.' You remember the looks of that woman's face, her hair fell down, her big pretty eyes looked out there. She scratched her head. She said, 'Sir...' Now, John, keep still, I know what you said, 'She's going to say He's Beelzebub.' But she said, 'Sir, I perceive that You are a prophet.'"
She knowed more about God than the preachers does. She said--in that state. Oh, yes, a over-trained theological seminary experience takes you away from Him sometimes, farther than walking the street.

And we know when He comes, He will tell us these things, because that'll be the sign of the Messiah. He'd be a God sent prophet. We know that He's coming. Jesus said, 'I'm He.'" Oh, my. "'I'm He that speaks with you.' And she looked again, she dropped that water pot and took off in the city as hard as she could. You remember we--we went over; we said, 'Eat Master, eat Master.' He said, 'I have bread to eat that you know not of.'"
"And we went on down into the city, and here come the men coming out. And we remember that woman going down through the street, we could hear it plumb out to that well. All the men around the market place was saying, 'Come, see a Man. Come, see a Man, Who told me the things that I've done: isn't this the very Messiah? Isn't this the sign of the Messiah? Yes, come, see the Man, that told me what I've done: isn't this the Messiah?' And brethren, you remember when all them men come out there, and they believed that woman's testimony and accepted Him as the Messiah. Oh, we all witnessed that, so we all know they must have said, brethren, that we know that He is the Messiah."

Get an old nasty roach; throw a apple core down out somewhere, when it's dark he will come around nibbling, just turn the light on and watch him take for cover, certainly. Spiders and everything else will take off. They're afraid of light. That's the reason people are afraid of these old time Holy Ghost meetings. Children of darkness work in darkness. Children of light walk in Light. "Ye are the light of the world, a city that sets on a hill." Don't put a bushel over it now. See?

C’est exactement ce qu’il attend de vous et de moi, que nous partions une fois sans Jésus. Je dis ceci avec révérence et respect. Je suis désolé, je crois que c’est ce que les pentecôtistes font. Vous êtes en train de courir après de grands bâtiments, de grandes organisations, et les associations, et vous L’avez quitté. Vous êtes tellement préoccupés par les programmes de construction. Vous avez oublié la petite mission dans la rue avec le vieux tambourin, la guitare. Et vous avez peur d’être de nouveau jetés en prison et tout. Voyez-vous? Il y a quelque chose qui ne va pas; vous êtes partis sans Lui, vous vous êtes emballés, avec les programmes et ainsi de suite, et vous L’avez oublié. C’est la raison pour laquelle nos soeurs se coupent les cheveux et portent ces sales petits habits. Et les diacres qu’on met dans l’église...
| E-35 Satan looked over soon as it got dark and said, "Well, I guess it's about time for me to start prowling all the night clubs, and honky-tonks, and everything." Said, "I wonder where them disciples and--and Jesus is." So they looked, and as him and all of his demons looked, there they was out on the sea without Him. Said, "Now's our chance; they've gone off without Him. Now we can get even with them."
That's just what he looks for you and I, to go off without Jesus one time. I say this with reverence and respects. I'm afraid that's what the Pentecostal people are doing. You're going off after big buildings, and big organizations, and societies, and you've left Him. You're so busy in building programs. You forgot the little mission down on the street and the old tambourine, the guitar. And you're afraid of jail sentences and things again. See? There's something wrong: went off without Him, got on a tantrum, programs and so forth, and forgot about Him. That's the reason our sisters bob off their hair and wear these little old dirty clothes. And deacons is put in the church...

E-36 Je connais une église de la sainteté, une grande église pentecôtiste, l’une des plus grandes églises des Etats-Unis. Et je connais un ami à moi de cette... Un homme qui fréquente cette église y a découvert une femme, une jeune fille qu’il a aimée plus que sa femme, et il avait une douce petite fille. Et il a quitté sa femme, s’est marié avec la fille de cette église, et on a fait de lui un diacre après cela. Frère, oui, il est parti sans Lui; c’est tout ce que je sais, frères. Oui. En effet, il a payé une forte somme sur le plateau... Les gens commencent à trop faire attention à l’argent, aux habits, et aux belles choses!
Vous feriez mieux de lever les yeux, vous feriez mieux de vous éloigner de ces histoires, puisque, rappelez-vous, c’est cela qui conduit à Laodicée, l’âge dans lequel l’église va entrer. Cela donne de la nausée à Dieu, Il vous vomira carrément de Sa bouche, a-t-Il dit. Les gens jouent simplement au chrétien. Il veut de véritables chrétiens nés de nouveau ayant une foi vraiment authentique pour croire chaque Parole que Dieu écrit. Maintenant, je ne veux pas aborder ces choses parce que je vous garde ici trop longtemps.
| E-36 I know a Holiness church, a great Pentecostal church, one of the greatest in the United States. And I know a friend of mine at that... A man going to this church found a woman, a young girl in there he loved better than he did his wife, and he had a sweet little girl. And he left his wife, married this girl of the church, and they made him a deacon after that. Brother, yeah, he went off without Him; that's all I know, brethren. Yes. Because he paid heavy on the plate... People are beginning to look too much about money and dressing and fine things.
You better look up, better get away from that stuff, 'cause remember, that's the leading to Laodicea, which the church age will go out in. Make God sick at His stomach, He just spews you from his mouth, He said. Just acting like Christians... He wants real borned again Christians with real genuine faith to believe every Word God writes. Now, I don't want to get started on those things because I keep you here too long.

I was called today by some of my sponsors on a meeting; they called me long distance this afternoon, a group of Pentecostal ministers, not Baptist, Presbyterian, Pentecostal ministers, and confessed that they had believed not in Divine healing, and wanted me not in the city, and wouldn't sponsor a meeting where they prayed for the sick. Pentecostal ministers... Pitiful, isn't it?

E-38 J’ai eu un autre appel où l’on disait, venant d’un groupe qui disait: «Si vous laissez un autre groupe s’installer sur l’estrade avec vous, nous n’aurons rien à faire avec cela.» C’est pire que jamais. Quel est le problème? Ils sont partis sans Lui. L’amour de Dieu dans nos coeurs nous contraint à aller dans chaque dénomination partout. Lorsqu’on en arrive au point où vous ne pouvez pas avoir un amour tendre pour chaque être humain, quelque chose vous est arrivé. Dieu vous a tellement aimé lorsque vous étiez un pécheur, un étranger, loin de Dieu, un ennemi du Royaume de Dieu, Il vous a tellement aimé qu’Il a donné Sa Vie pour vous, assurément. Si vous recevez en vous un esprit qui vous fait croire que vous êtes meilleur que quelqu’un d’autre, alors–alors vous êtes pire que n’importe qui que je connaisse. Peu m’importe que vous soyez très correct dans votre théologie; vos motifs et vos objectifs sont faux. Je préférerais avoir–je préférerais avoir une–une mauvaise théologie que d’avoir un mauvais coeur. C’est juste. L’Esprit de Dieu demeure dans votre coeur.
Au jardin d’Eden, l’homme prit son... aller... son... Il se compromit. Eh bien, dans le jardin d’Eden, l’homme fit un choix. Le diable prit sa tête; Dieu prit son coeur. Puis le diable l’envoie à un séminaire, le rend raide avec une bonne théologie et le déshydrate là-dedans; et l’homme en sort avec une tête enflée, trop grosse pour porter un chapeau ordinaire. Alors il en sort avec l’amertume au coeur contre les concitoyens du Royaume; ça, ce n’est pas Dieu. C’est juste.
| E-38 I had another call said, from a group that said, "If you let another group set on the platform with you, we'll have nothing to do with it." That's worse off then ever. What's the matter? Gone off without Him. The love of God in our heart constrains us to reach to every denomination in every place. When it gets to a spot that you can't have a tender love for every human being, something's happened to you. God so loved you when you was a sinner, an alien, away from God, a enemy of the commonwealth of God, He so loved you that He gave His life for you, sure. If you get a spirit in you, you're better than someone else, then--then you're worse than anybody else that I know of. I don't care if you're ever so correct in your theology; your motives and objectives is wrong. I'd rather be--I'd rather be wrong in my--in my theology, than be wrong in my heart. That's right. Spirit of God dwells in your heart.
In the garden of Eden man took his--go--his... He compromised. Now, in the garden of Eden there was a choice made by the man. The devil took his head; God took his heart. Then he sends him off to a seminary, freezes him up with some good theology and dehydrates him in there, and he comes back out, his head all puffed up, too big to wear an ordinary hat. Then he comes out with bitterness in his heart against the fellow citizen of the Kingdom, that ain't God. That's right.

| E-39 Satan seen them go off like that without God. And so he said, "Now, let's get rid of them." And that's just the good way to get rid of it too. Brother, when you get a place that you can't reach across the fence, come across the street, and associate, and call a man a brother just because that there might be some little hair's difference. How do you know you're not a little different in God's sight, some little something. And it be a brother? Why, certainly. Brother, the altar's your place. It's exactly right. And get right with God. I wouldn't want that evil spirit on me. That's right. I'm sorry to see that creeping into Pentecostal groups, all sides of them too, from all sides. One... Pot can't call the kettle black, because it's just six of one, and a half a dozen the other. So there on both sides.

Vous savez, un arbre... si un arbre a sur lui l’écorce du sycomore et qu’il porte des pommes, qu’est-ce? C’est un pommier. C’est la vie qui est dans l’arbre qui produit les pommes. Peu importe ce qu’est votre théologie, qu’elle soit juste ou fausse, si vous portez le mauvais genre de fruits, vous êtes le mauvais genre d’arbre, frère. Jésus a dit: «C’est à leur fruit que vous les reconnaîtrez,» non pas à leur arbre, mais à leur fruit. C’est juste. C’est vrai.

That's the way we should be (Yes, certainly.), not greedy, selfish, indifferent, ungodly. The fruits of the Spirit is love, joy, longsuffering, meekness, gentleness, faith, patience. That's it; that's the fruit of the Spirit.
You know a tree--if a tree's got sycamore bark on it and apples growing on it, what is it? It's a apple tree. The life in the tree produces apples. No matter what your theology is, right or wrong, if you're bearing the wrong kind of fruits you're the wrong kind of tree, brother. Jesus said, "By their fruit you shall know them," not by their tree, but by their fruit. That's right. True.

E-41 Ainsi, il les a vus sans Jésus. Voyez-vous, c’est là le souffle empoisonné de Satan. N’ayez rien à faire avec lui; il ne croit pas comme nous. Il n’y a qu’une seule foi; c’est la foi de Dieu (C’est juste.), la foi de Dieu. Votre foi humaine ne va pas très loin. Mais la foi de Dieu en vous vous fait aimer tout le monde, me fait aimer tout le monde. C’est juste. C’est ce que la foi de Dieu fait en vous; elle vous donne le même sentiment que Jésus avait, parce que l’Esprit de Christ est en vous.

And then he begin to blow his poison breath at them; and a great storm swept down, and the little ship's just about to tip over, back and forth, up and down, back and forth. The little boat become waterlogged. The mast pole blowed down; the oars broke. That's about the crippled condition we are getting into. That's right--that's right. He begin to blow his breath, saying, "Whew, you belong to our organization, or you don't belong to anything. We're the ones that right. The rest of them is wrong. Segregate yourself." Oh, my. "Yeah, days of miracles is past. Aw, that Divine healing, there's nothing to it. Oh, there's no such a thing as this, that, or the other." Oh, my.
See, that's the poison breaths of Satan. Don't have nothing to do with him; he don't believe like we do. There's only one faith; that's the faith of God (That's right.), God's faith. Your human faith don't go very far. But God's faith in you, makes you love everybody, makes me love everybody. That's right. That's what God's faith does to you: makes you have the same feeling that Jesus did, because the Spirit of Christ is in you.

E-42 Tout espoir était perdu; ils étaient sur le point de sombrer. Oh! ils se tenaient les uns les autres et disaient: «Pourquoi sommes-nous partis sans Lui? Pourquoi ne L’avons-nous pas obligé à venir avec nous?» Mais vous savez quoi? Il fait des choses comme cela des fois pour voir ce que nous allons faire. Je pense que c’est ce qu’Il avait fait à ce moment-là. Au lieu de les laisser tous ensemble, vous savez ce qu’Il a fait? Il savait que cela allait arriver. Il sait maintenant même cette chose, que cette chose qui se passe maintenant allait arriver. Mais savez-vous ce qu’Il a fait? Il a gravi la plus haute colline qu’il y avait en Palestine, Il est monté au sommet de la colline afin d’avoir le regard sur tout l’océan et veiller sur eux. Oh!
Quand Il est mort au Calvaire, Il a gravi les remparts du Calvaire au point qu’Il a continué de gravir cela en ce matin-là de Pâques, au point qu’Il est monté au-delà de la lune, des étoiles, du soleil, de sorte qu’Il pouvait voir de l’éternité à l’éternité. Son oeil est sur le moineau, et je sais qu’Il veille sur cette réunion ce soir. Il veut voir ce que nous allons faire.
| E-42 All hopes was gone; they was just about ready to sink. Oh, they was about holding one another and saying, "Why did we go off without Him? Why didn't we constrain Him to go with us?" But you know what? He does things like that sometime to see what we'll do. I think He did it then. Instead of leaving them all together, you know what He done? He knowed that was going to happen. He knows this thing right now, that's going on now was going to happen. But you know what He done? He climbed the highest hill there was in Palestine, got up on top the hill so He could see all the way across the ocean to watch them. Oh.
When He died at Calvary, He climbed the ramparts of Calvary till He kept on climbing on that Easter morning, till He climbed beyond the moon, stars, sun, until He could see from eternity into eternity. His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He's watching this meeting tonight. He wants to see what we'll do.

E-43 Tout espoir était perdu. Ils ont pensé que tout était fini, qu’ils allaient se noyer. Et quand le moment très crucial est arrivé, lorsqu’Il les a observés, et voici Il est venu vers eux en marchant sur la mer houleuse. Mais alors, la grave erreur qu’ils ont faite (Je veux le dire en clôturant.), c’est la même grave erreur que l’église fait aujourd’hui. Ils ont eu peur de Lui. Ils ont pensé qu’Il était un fantôme, un esprit, un spectre, un diseur de bonne aventure ayant des démons...?... C’est ce qu’ils ont pensé. Ils ont commencé à trembler.
Mais écoutez cette Parole de réconfort: «N’ayez pas peur; prenez courage; c’est Moi. C’est Moi.» La seule chose qui pouvait les aider, le seul secours qu’il y avait pour eux, ils avaient peur de cela.
Et aujourd’hui, la seule chose capable de briser les barrières, la seule chose qui peut nous unir ensemble comme des frères et des chrétiens, la seule chose qui peut nous amener encore à l’unité, c’est l’Esprit de Dieu, ou plutôt l’amour de Dieu, qui est répandu dans nos coeurs, un message de grâce venant de Dieu, nous disant que nous ne sommes pas divisés, mais que nous sommes tous un seul corps. Dieu guérit les gens juste de la même manière alors qu’ils étaient... quels qu’ils soient. Nous ne sommes pas divisés.
| E-43 All hopes was gone. They thought everything was past, they was going to drown. And when the very crucial moment, when He had watched them, and here He come walking to them on the troubled sea. And now, the sad mistake that they made (I want to say in closing.) is the same sad mistake that the church is making today. They were afraid of Him. They thought He was a spook, a spirit, something spooky, fortunetelling and devils...?... That's what they thought. They begin to tremble.
But listen at that comforting word, "Be not afraid; be of a good cheer; it is I. It is I" The only thing that could help them, the only help there was to be helped, and they was afraid of it.
And today the only thing that'll break down the barriers, the only thing that can melt us together as brothers and Christians, the only thing that could bring us together again is the Spirit of God, or the love of God, that's shed abroad in our hearts, a message of grace from God that we are not divided, all one body are we. God heals them just the same as they was--whatever they are. We are not divided.

Il n’avait jamais été par là auparavant. Abraham ne L’avait jamais vu. Du mieux de la connaissance d’Abraham, il ne L’avait jamais vu. Et Il a dit: «Abraham, où est Sara, ta femme?» Oh! comment savait-Il qu’il était marié, comment savait-Il qu’il avait une femme, et comment savait-Il que celle-ci s’appelait Sara?
J’imagine qu’Abraham a dit: «J’ai été bien conduit.» Il a dit: «Elle est dans la tente, derrière Toi.»
Il a dit: «Abraham, Je vais accomplir Ma promesse envers toi.» Observez, ce n’était pas un ange, pas un homme, mais «Je vais accomplir Ma...» Quelle promesse! «Ce que Je t’ai promis...» Oh! la la! Ne pouvez-vous pas voir que c’était Dieu? Abraham a dit que c’était Dieu. Il L’appela Elohim, Eternel Dieu, le Créateur. «El, Elah, Elohim» signifie «le Tout-Suffisant et Celui qui existe par Lui-même.» Amen. Il était Celui qui existe par Lui-même, Elohim, manifesté dans un corps de chair, mangeant et buvant comme un homme qui savait qu’il était Abraham. Le même Dieu a été rendu manifeste et a dit: «Ton nom est Simon, et tu es le fils de Jonas. Je t’ai vu quand tu étais sous le figuier.» El, Elah, Elohim; voyez-vous cela?
| E-44 They see the Spirit of God that was promised by Christ Himself. In the last days He said, "As it was Sodom..." When that Angel set of God's Spirit manifested in flesh, eating the flesh of a calf, eating the milk from the cow, drinking buttermilk (sweet milk, whatever it was), eating butter on corn bread, setting there eating like a man, had His back turned to the tent, a Stranger... He'd never been around there before. Abraham had never saw Him. As far as Abraham knowed, He'd never saw him. And He said, "Abraham, where is your wife Sarah?" Oh, how'd He know he was married, how'd He knew he had a wife, and how'd He know his name was Sarah?
I'd imagine Abraham said, "My leading was right." Said, "She's in the tent behind you."
Said, "Abraham, I am going to fulfill My promise to you." Notice, not an Angel, not a man, but "I, going to fulfill My..." What a promise, "What I promised you..." Oh, my. Can't you see it was God? Abraham said it was God. He called Him Elohim, Lord God, Creator. "El, Elah, Elohim" means "the all sufficient and the self existing One." Amen. He was the self existing One, Elohim, manifested in a body of flesh, eating and drinking like a man that knowed he was Abraham. The same God was made manifest and said, "Your name is Simon, and you are the son of Jonas. I saw you when you were under the fig tree." El, Elah, Elohim, see it?

«N’ayez pas peur, c’est Moi», a dit Jésus. «Et Je serai avec vous («Je», de nouveau ce pronom, pronom personnel), Je serai avec vous, même en vous, jusqu’à la fin du monde». (Amen.) Jésus-Christ est le même hier, aujourd’hui et éternellement.
Quand Il vivait en Son jour, hier, Il était une Colonne de Feu. Il a été manifesté dans la chair, Il a dit: «Je viens de Dieu et Je retourne à Dieu.» Quelques jours plus tard, après Sa résurrection, Saul, respirant de grandes menaces, est descendu à Damas; une Lumière, la Colonne de Feu l’a jeté à terre; il a demandé: «Qui es-Tu?»
Il a répondu: «Je suis Jésus.»
Pierre était en prison, la Colonne de Feu est entrée par la fenêtre. Pierre s’est dit: «Je fais un rêve maintenant.»
Il a dit: «Viens, suis-Moi.» Les portes se sont ouvertes d’elles-mêmes, il est passé juste à côté des gardes. Il ne comprenait pas que c’était Dieu jusqu’au moment où il était dehors. Amen. Je L’aime, pas vous? Que nous...

I don't care what you are; it's help for all of you; don't be afraid of it. God's Bible message to everyone of you... "Whosoever will let him come and drink from the fountains of the water of Life freely."
"Don't be afraid, it is I", said Jesus. "And I will be with you ('I,' that pronoun again, personal pronoun), I'll be with you, even in you, to the end of the world," (Amen.) Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today, and forever...
When He was yesterday in His day He was a Pillar of Fire. He was manifested in flesh, said, "I come from God and go to God." A few days later after His resurrection, Saul, breathing out great threats, went down to Damascus; a Light, a Pillar of Fire struck him down, he said, "Who are You?"
He said, "I'm Jesus."
Peter was in prison, a Pillar of Fire come in the window. Peter thought, "I'm having a dream now."
He said, "Come on, follow Me." The gates opened by itself, passed right by the guards. He didn't realize it was God till he was on the outside. Amen. I love Him, don't you? Let's...

Father, take Your eye salve of the Spirit tonight and open the people's eyes, that they might see that it is You, that it's Your Spirit. You're not dead. You're alive forevermore. Certains sont estropiés, d’autres aveugles, et d’autres ont des infirmités pour lesquelles les médecins ne savent que faire. Père, Tu es le Créateur.
| E-48 Father, we thank You now for this sweet fellowship. Oh, how we love it, Lord. Just bathe at the fountain, bathing ourself in the beauty of His righteousness, and holiness, and His power. Our sins are all gone. The Blood of Jesus Christ God's Son cleanses us from that. We're fixing to come into the throne now, Lord, to ask favors.
You've got a group of sick children here, Father. They've come tonight because they believe in You. And I've come to bring the message to them. O God, some of these people in here will die right away if You don't help them. Our beloved physicians of the earth here has give some of them up, no doubt. Some of them are crippled, and blind, and something that the medics don't know what to do about. Father, You're the Creator.

E-49 Comme nous l’avons dit, un jour, David s’occupait des brebis de son père. Ô Dieu, permets que je prenne sa place ce soir, en m’occupant des brebis du Père. Un jour, un lion, un ennemi, est entré; il s’est emparé d’une brebis, d’un agneau, puis s’est enfui. Et David n’avait rien que cette petite fronde. Mais il a poursuivi le lion; il s’est confié en Toi. Il a tué le lion et a ramené l’agneau.
Père, beaucoup d’entre eux ici ce soir sont malades et affligés, au point que la médecine est désemparée; ils ne savent quoi faire. Ils sont venus ici ce soir; ils sont Tes brebis. Je prends cette petite fronde de prière, et je vais après eux, Seigneur. Donne-nous la puissance de la foi pour tuer ce lion, ce démon, ce cancer, ce démon qui les a rendus estropiés ou quoi que ce soit, afin que nous puissions les ramener pour Toi à la bergerie, car notre Père ne veut pas perdre Ses brebis.
Pardonne notre incrédulité, ô Seigneur, et enflamme nos âmes par Ton Esprit. Nous nous rendons compte que la guérison a déjà été acquise pour nous, car «Il était blessé pour nos péchés, et c’est par ses meurtrissures que nous avons été (temps passé) guéris.»
| E-49 David, one time, as we quoted, he was caring for his father's sheep. God, let me just take his place tonight, caring for Father's sheep. One day a lion, an enemy come in, grabbed one of the sheep, and run out, a lamb. And he didn't have nothing but this little slingshot. But he went after the lion; he trusted You. He slew the lion, brought the lamb back.
Father, there's many of them here tonight sick and afflicted that medical science is stumped; they don't know what to do. They've come here tonight; they're Your sheep. I'm taking this little slingshot of prayer, and I'm coming after them, Lord. Give us power of faith to kill that lion, that devil, that cancer, that devil that's crippled them, or whatever it is, that we might restore them back to the sheepfold for You, for our Father don't want to lose His sheep.
Forgive our unbelief, Lord, and set our souls aflame with Thy Spirit. We realize that healing has already been purchased for us, for "He was wounded for our transgressions; and with His stripes we were (a past tense) healed."

E-50 Maintenant, Seigneur, que Tu viennes ce soir dans cette réunion et que Tu fasses quelque chose exactement comme ce que Tu faisais lorsque Tu étais ici sur terre, car Tu as promis que ce serait fait en ce jour-ci. Et quand nous quitterons la réunion ce soir, puissions-nous nous sentir comme Cléopas et l’autre lorsqu’ils revenaient d’Emmaüs, quand Tu fis là quelque chose exactement comme ce que Tu avais fait avant Ta crucifixion. Ils comprirent que c’était le même Jésus, qu’Il était ressuscité et faisait exactement ce qu’Il avait fait avant Sa crucifixion. Ils ont couru gaiement et ont dit à tout le monde: «Certainement, le Seigneur est ressuscité des morts.» Et ils ont dit: «Nos coeurs ne brûlaient-ils pas au-dedans de nous, lorsqu’Il nous parlait en chemin?»
Je prie, ô Père, qu’ils n’aient pas peur ce soir pendant que Tu leur parleras dans leur esprit. Ou plutôt puissent-ils comprendre que ce murmure doux et léger qui a attiré l’attention du prophète... Le vent impétueux s’abattit sur la caverne; cela ne réveilla pas tellement le prophète. Le tonnerre et l’éclair, le sang et l’huile et ainsi de suite, tout se déversa là, mais cela n’attira pas le prophète. Mais lorsque ce murmure doux et léger se fit entendre, alors le prophète se voila le visage et sortit. Dieu lui parla. Ô Dieu, que nous nous voilions le visage ce soir, que nous sortions pour T’écouter. Que nous n’ayons pas peur. Que nous puissions nous voiler de la Parole de Dieu, sortir sur base de Sa promesse maintenant, ce murmure doux et léger de la promesse par la Parole, et Te voir accomplir ces choses que nous demandons ce soir. Nous T’abandonnons tout cela maintenant au Nom de Jésus-Christ. Amen.
| E-50 Now, grant, Lord, that You'll come tonight in this meeting and will do something that You did just like You did when You were here on earth, 'cause You promised it would be done in this day. And when we leave the meeting tonight, may we feel like Cleopas and them coming from Emmaus, when You did something there just like You did before Your crucifixion; they knew that was the same Jesus, He'd rose and was doing just like He did before His crucifixion. Lightheartily they run and told everybody, "Truly the Lord has raised from the dead." And they said, "Did not our hearts burn within us when He talked to us?"
I pray, Father, that they won't be afraid tonight while You been talking to them in their spirit. Or may they realize that still small voice that attracted the attention of the prophet... The mighty rushing wind struck over the cave; it didn't rouse the prophet much. The thunder and the lightening, the blood and oil and so forth, all poured down, but it didn't attract the prophet. But when that still small voice spoke, then the prophet veiled his face and come out. God spoke with him. God, let's veil our face tonight, and walk out, hear from You. May we not be afraid. May we veil ourself with the Word of God, walk out upon His promise now, that still small voice of the promise by the Word, and see You perform these things that we're asking tonight. We commit it all to You now in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

E-51 Je voudrais prier pour ceci juste maintenant. Seigneur Jésus, Tu l’as promis. Un écrivain a écrit qu’un jour les enfants d’Israël étaient en route vers la Terre promise, et la mer Rouge leur barra la route pendant qu’ils étaient juste dans la ligne du devoir. La mer Rouge les empêchait d’entrer dans la Terre promise; et l’écrivain a dit que Dieu regarda au travers de cette Colonne de Feu avec des yeux courroucés, et la mer Rouge eut peur et se retira. Et les enfants d’Israël continuèrent leur chemin jusqu’à la Terre promise.
Maintenant, ô Père, la promesse est que Tu nous guérirais, que Tu nous as guéris; et le doute, la superstition, et toutes sortes de problèmes nous barrent la route. Maintenant, puisse Dieu regarder non seulement à travers la Colonne de Feu ce soir, mais aussi au travers du Sang de Son propre Fils. Que ces démons qui retiennent les gens qui sont malades et qui ont envoyé ces mouchoirs, quand ces mouchoirs représentatifs seront posés sur eux, que ces démons les libèrent afin qu’ils entrent dans la Terre promise de la bonne santé. Accorde-le, ô Seigneur, c’est dans la ligne du devoir. Nous envoyons ces mouchoirs dans ce but, au Nom de Jésus.
Qu’ils soient ramenés à la promesse que Dieu leur a faite. Et la promesse, par-dessus toutes choses, est: «Je souhaite–veux que tu prospères et que tu sois en bonne santé», afin qu’ils puissent servir Dieu. Amen.
| E-51 I want to pray for this just now. Lord Jesus, You promised it. One day it's written by a writer that the children of Israel were on the road to the promised land, and the Red Sea got in their way right in the line of duty. The Red Sea was keeping them from the promised land; and the writer said that God looked down through that Pillar of Fire with angry eyes, and the Red Sea got scared and rolled back. And the children of Israel went on to the promised land.
Now, Father, the promise is that You would heal us, that You have healed us; and doubt is in the way, superstitions, all kinds of troubles. Now, may God, not only look through the Pillar of Fire tonight, but through the Blood of His own Son. May them demons that holds the people that's sick that sent these handkerchiefs in, when these handkerchiefs of tokens is laid upon the people, may that devil turn them loose and they go over into that promised land of good health. Grant it, Lord, it's in the line of duty. We send these handkerchiefs in Jesus' Name for that purpose.
May they be restored to the promise that God gave them. And the promise above all things "I wish--would that you prosper in health" so they can serve God. Amen.

You accept it. That's right. And then if you believe it, you're heal--you're saved.
Then how many knows when Jesus died at the cross that by His stripes we were healed? He healed every sick person. Certainly. Then what can anyone do? If you're already brought out of the pawn shop, if a fellow's standing there with a ticket of redemption, the only thing you have to do is receive it. See? How many Bible readers know this, He promised it? All right.
Do you believe that we are at the end of the Gentile age, like it was at the end of the Jewish age, and the Samaritan age? Now, Jesus made Hisself known as the Messiah to them by a Messiahic sign. Is that right? Anybody knows that? How many knows that He had the Messiah sign? Sure, sure He did. He said, "If I do not the works of My Father, believe Me not."
The woman at the well said, "We know when the Messiah cometh, He will tell us this." See? And so to know the secrets of their heart, to do just the same thing He has always done...

S’Il prenait une autre décision, alors Sa première décision était mauvaise, s’Il la change. Par conséquent, lorsque Dieu fait quoi que ce soit dans la Bible, Il est obligé de faire cela une autre fois, sinon Il a commis une erreur quand Il l’avait fait la première fois.
S’Il s’était donc révélé en ce temps-là comme étant le Messie par le signe du Messie, comme le Messie-Prophète aux Juifs, aux Samaritains, et qu’Il l’a promis aux Gentils, Il doit faire la même chose. Maintenant, combien ont vu cela se produire, faites voir votre main afin que je le sache. Très bien. Oh! je pense que c’est tout le monde. Put your faith in the Word of God, for when God is ever called on the scene to make a decision, He cannot make any other decision but what He has to stay with His first decision. How many knows that? 'Cause He's infinite; every decision's perfect. He don't have to make no two decisions. If He made another decision, then His first decision was wrong, if He changes it. Therefore when God does anything in the Bible, He has to do it again, or He did wrong when He did it the first time.
So if He made Himself known as the Messiah by the sign of the Messiah, a prophet Messiah, then to the Jews, to the Samaritans, and promised it to the Gentiles, He's got to do the same thing. Now, how many's seen it happen, let's see your hands so I know. All right. Oh, I guess everybody. Il a dit: «Mais Je vois que Je me suis affaibli.» La vertu était sortie. Est-ce juste? Et qu’a-t-Il fait? Il a parcouru l’auditoire du regard jusqu’à ce qu’Il découvrit la petite femme et Il lui dit que sa perte de sang était terminée; sa foi l’avait sauvée. Combien savent cela? We're going--just going to say, one time a woman that didn't have a prayer card in the Bible, and she said, "I believe that Man, and if I could only touch the hem of his garment I'll be made whole." You know the story? All right. What happened? She pressed through the crowd till, had touched the hem of His garment. Now, did anybody ever see a Palestinian robe? It's way loose and got a underneath garment, keep the dust off the limbs. And a--a Palestinian garment--if she touched the hem of my coat, I wouldn't feel it. If she touched my trouser legs like that, or the cuff of my trousers I would... How about a big garment hanging out like that? So Jesus turned around and said, "Who touched Me?"
And Peter rebuked Him, said, "Lord, all of them is touching You. Why do You say at a thing like that?"
He said, "But I perceive that I got weak." Virtue went out. Is that right? And what did He do? He looked out over the audience until He found the little woman and told her her blood issue was gone; her faith had saved her. How many knows that? Now, wouldn't you like to touch Him? What... Is it possible that you can touch Him? Is He a High Priest now that could be touched by the feeling of our infirmities? Well then, if He's the same High Priest, how would He act now? Like He did then. Is that right? Now, you touch Him and see if He acts that way. That's the way to do it. Oh, isn't that wonderful, when you bring God Word to a showdown?

Jésus est entré dans une ville, proclamant qu’Il était le Messie, et Il ne put faire là beaucoup de miracles, quelle était la cause? L’incrédulité. Il est le même hier, aujourd’hui et éternellement. Si vous ne croyez pas en Lui, il est impossible qu’Il agisse. Si vous croyez en Lui, Il viendra juste dans votre chair, le Messie le fera. Amen. Il est le même Dieu qui était dans la chair. You'd say, "Lord, let me see if You got scars in Your hand." Anybody could have scars in their hand. "Let me see if You got scars in Your side." I got them where a horse throwed me. Why I... Sure. Now, I--I got another one over here where I was shot with a gun. Gun went off when I was a kid. Another fellow's gun shot me across the side. But that--that don't mean that you'd be a Messiah, no. But the Life of Messiah would be the Spirit of Messiah in His church. Now, no matter how much He'd put it on me, He's got to put it on you too, 'cause we can't work separately; we got to work together.
Jesus went into a place claiming He was the Messiah and many mighty works He could not do, because of what? Unbelief. He's the same yesterday, today, and forever. If you don't believe Him, there's no way for Him to work. If you will believe Him, He will come right in your flesh, the Messiah will. Amen. He's the same God that's in flesh. You believe it?
Now, in this prayer line, you all that's in this prayer line, how many's been in a prayer line that's been here at other meetings and seen God how He reveals the secrets and things, raise up your hands, you that's in the prayer line. All right. Now, if I don't say one word to you, just pray, you believe that God will do it? You believe it? Do you believe it, without seeing? I--I--I know what--what you're feeling. I can just feel it. See? I can tell it.
All right, you out there without--let's have the discernment line out here without prayer cards. The ones without prayer cards have the discernment, and let this--these pass through so that you'll see that the Angel of the Lord is here.

The Pillar of Fire was in the burning bush in the time of Moses when It was made flesh, how many believes that was Christ? He said, "Before Mos--before Abraham was I AM." See? All right. Now, that Pillar of Fire that was in the wilderness when It was made flesh, we know It did that, didn't It? And now, is He a High Priest tonight that can be touched by the feeling of our infirmities? All right. You just have faith and believe God, and God will--will grant that to you.
Now, every one of you just bow your heads silently and start praying, each one of you. Don't be upset, hysterical, but just believe that Jesus Christ is here. If you have a need of Him, just believe.
Oh, how wonderful, the sympathizing Jesus. Now, I've talked about Him, spoke His Word, will He now fulfill His Word? All right, that's all, got your prayer line going back that way?
I want the discernment to be out there. If God will just grant it once more... All right, raise your heads. Look on me, now just like Peter and John passing the gate called Beautiful; believe me, as His servant. Hold your affliction in your mind and say, "God, I'm suffering with so-and-so; have mercy on me." All of you, don't think that you're past healing. You're not. Just as easy for Him to heal you as it is anybody else; just have faith. I wished I could heal every one of you; I'd do it. I can't do no more than just what I see going on.

Je veux qu’il y ait le discernement là-bas. Si Dieu veut bien accorder cela une fois de plus... Très bien, relevez la tête. Regardez-moi, maintenant exactement comme Pierre et Jean, quand ils passaient par la porte appelée la Belle; croyez-moi en tant que Son serviteur. Gardez à l’esprit votre maladie et dites: «Ô Dieu, je souffre de telle maladie; aie pitié de moi.» Vous tous, ne pensez pas que vous ne pouvez plus guérir. Vous le pouvez. C’est tout aussi facile pour Lui de vous guérir que de guérir n’importe qui d’autre; ayez simplement la foi. J’aurais souhaité pouvoir guérir chacun de vous; je l’aurais fait. Je ne peux faire rien de plus en dehors de ce que je vois arriver.
