E-1 Bonsoir, mes amis. C’est certainement un privilège d’être de nouveau de retour ce soir à Long Beach, pour avoir ce moment de communion la semaine qui vient. Et c’était plutôt une surprise pour moi d’apprendre que j’allais rester à Long Beach pendant ce long moment de prolongation. Et je pense que lorsque frère Arganbright m’a appelé pour que je vienne à la côte ouest à partir de Phoenix, il m’a demandé de passer une soirée à Los Angeles et une soirée ici. Et puis, lorsque je me rends compte que j’ai... ou plutôt une soirée, je voudrais dire une semaine dans chacune de ces villes, excusez-moi. Et puis, je me rends compte que j’ai deux semaines ici: de dimanche à dimanche, je pense que c’est ça, de mardi à dimanche, et de dimanche à dimanche. Et ainsi, nous nous attendons donc à passer des moments merveilleux. Maintenant, nous ne pouvons qu’avoir de bons moments dans le Seigneur lorsque nous L’adorons tous ensemble. C’est ce que nous devons faire.
Et maintenant, je parlais aujourd’hui au pasteur et–et je lui ai demandé de quel genre de service il s’agissait, était-ce l’anticipation sur le réveil, ou devrions-nous avoir un service de guérison? Et il a dit: «Juste comme le Seigneur conduira.» Alors, c’est pratiquement ce que je me disais, ce que je pouvais demander. C’est ce que nous voulons, vous savez, là où le Seigneur conduit. Et puis, si le Seigneur a la prééminence, alors tout ira bien.
| E-1 Good evening, friends. It's certainly a privilege to be back again tonight at Long Beach to have this time of fellowship in the coming week. And it was kind of surprising to me to know that I was going to stay in Long Beach this long extended time. And I think Brother Arganbright, when he called me about coming on to the west coast from Phoenix, he asked for one night in Los Angeles and one night here. And then when I find out that I've got--or one night, I mean one week at each place, pardon me. And then I find I got two weeks here: Sunday through Sunday, I think it is: Tuesday through Sunday through Sunday. And so we're expecting now to have a great time. Now, we can only have a good time in the Lord as we all worship Him together. We must do that.
And now, I was talking to the pastor today and--and asked him just what type of service, was it a revival we were anticipating, or was we to have a healing service? And he said, "Just as the Lord will lead." So that's just about as good I guess, as I could ask for. That's what we want, you know, where the Lord leads. And then if the Lord has the right-of-way, then everything will be all right.

E-2 Et c’est... Je pense que c’est la deuxième fois que je viens à ce tabernacle. Je pense que c’est à cet endroit que nous sommes venus (N’est-ce pas, Frère Gene?) un soir, il y a de cela deux ou trois ans, ou quelque chose comme cela. Et... Cela fait environ deux ans, oui... Et puis, je m’étais rendu une fois ici à l’auditorium municipal, lorsque nous... la première fois que je suis venu à la côte ouest. Et ainsi, au départ, je sens un peu comme si je suis l’un de vous; non seulement parce que j’avais déjà été ici, mais parce que, comme vous, j’ai déjà été au même endroit pour trouver le salut: au Calvaire. Et c’est là que nous... La seule Fontaine que je connaisse, c’est cette Fontaine du Calvaire, là où Dieu a déversé Ses bénédictions sur la race humaine, et c’est là que j’ai reçu la mienne, sous le Sang du Seigneur Jésus.
| E-2 And it's... I think this is my second time to this Tabernacle. I think this is the place we come, was it Brother Gene, one night down here about two or three years ago, or something. And... Couple of years ago, yes... And then I was once over at the Municipal Auditorium here when we--I first come to the west coast. And so I kinda feel like I'm part of you to begin with, not only because I've been here, because I've been at the same place you did to find salvation: at Calvary. And that's where we... The only fountain that I know is that fountain of Calvary, where God poured out His blessings upon the human race, and there's where I received mine, beneath the Blood of the Lord Jesus.

E-3 Et maintenant, si le Seigneur le veut, j’aimerais juste voir combien de personnes désirent que l’on prie pour elles, afin d’avoir une soirée de service de guérison? Voyons si nous pouvons lever la main partout. Eh bien, c’est un bon petit groupe pour un service de guérison, alors... pour une église, de toute façon. Et ainsi, eh bien, demain soir, aimeriez-vous avoir un service de guérison demain soir, serait-ce en ordre? Très bien. Je vais demander aux jeunes gens qui sont ici de distribuer les cartes de prière vers 18 h 30, ou à peu près à cette heure-là, afin que cela ne puisse pas déranger les autres étapes de la réunion. Et puis, demain soir, nous allons prier pour les malades, Dieu voulant.
Et puis, nous allons voir alors selon Sa conduite et selon l’évolution, nous allons voir combien... Vous savez, dans une petite église, lors d’une réunion comme celle-ci, nous pouvons prier pour tous les malades en une seule soirée. Donc, être ici durant treize soirées, ça va être–être un vrai service de guérison. Si donc les gens viennent, et que les malades continuent d’affluer, eh bien, nous allons continuer de prier pour eux au fur et à mesure–au fur et à mesure qu’ils viendront.
| E-3 And now, if the Lord willing, I'd just like to just see how many was wanting to be prayed for, have a healing service one night? Let's see if we raise up our hands around. Well, that's a nice little group for a healing service, so--for a church anyhow. And then, well, tomorrow night, how would you like to have a healing service tomorrow night, would that be fine? All right. I'll have the boys over here to give out prayer cards about six-thirty, something like that, so it won't interfere with the other parts of the meeting. And then we'll pray for the sick tomorrow night, God willing.
And then we'll see then as He leads, goes on, see how many... You know in a little church meeting like this, we can pray for all the sick in one night. So to be here thirteen nights, that's going to be--be quite a healing service. So if the people come in, the sick keeps crowding in, why, we'll keep praying for them as--as they come in.

E-4 Et alors, peut-être que cette semaine qui vient, ou plutôt la semaine suivante, si c’est la volonté du Seigneur... Je viens de terminer, j’ai terminé chez moi au Tabernacle la série de sept derniers âges de l’Eglise du Livre d’Apocalypse, avant que je commence la tournée de cette année. Et peut-être, le Seigneur voulant, j’aimerais prendre la semaine suivante pour les quatre cavaliers de l’Apocalypse, et consacrer une soirée pour chaque cheval et chaque cavalier, et ce que cela représente, et le temps dans lequel nous vivons.
Je pense que ce–ce serait–nous devrions tous être avertis des choses qui sont arrivées–qui arrivent. Ce qui manque à l’Eglise aujourd’hui, c’est l’avertissement pour se préparer. Je crois réellement, qu’il y a quarante ans l’Eglise était en meilleure condition pour la Venue de Christ qu’elle ne l’est aujourd’hui. Quarante ans... J’en parlais l’autre jour au Westward Ho, à la Convention des Hommes d’Affaires du Plein Evangile, comment en quarante ans l’Eglise a perdu du terrain, juste comme c’était le cas dans le désert. Mais, alors que les vieux batailleurs sont morts, c’est maintenant le moment, où nous devrions nous mettre ensemble, et nous mettre en marche pour le Royaume de Dieu, aller de l’autre côté et prendre pleinement possession de la bénédiction. Et selon que le Seigneur conduira cette semaine, nous parlerons de ces sujets, en nous préparant.
| E-4 And now, maybe this coming week, this next coming week rather, if it'd be the will of the Lord... I just finished, before I started this year's tour, at my Tabernacle I finished the series of the seven last church ages in Revelation. And maybe, the Lord willing, I'd like to take next week on the four horse riders of Revelations, and give a night on each horse and each rider, and what it represents, and the time that we're living in.
I think it--it should be--we should all be warned of the things that's come--coming. That's what the church today lacks, is the warning of making ready. I believe really, the church was in better condition forty years ago for Christ to come than it is today. Forty years... I was speaking on that the other day at the westward Ho, at the Full Gospel Business Men's Convention, of how that the church in forty years lost ground just like it did in the wilderness. But it's the time now when the old fighters is dead, and we ought to get ourselves together, and get started on for the Kingdom of God, and go over and possess the full blessing. And just as the Lord will lead this week, we'll be speaking on those subjects, in making ready.

| E-5 Now, a minister cannot bring a revival. There's no preacher can bring a revival. He doesn't pack it with him, and the only thing he can do is just be loyal to God and His Word, and the revival has to come by the people, in your home, in your life. Now, a revival isn't adding new members to the church; it's reviving that what we've already got. To "revive" means "to bring back." So a revival...

E-6 Il y a quelques années, je me tenais pour la première fois près d’une grande étendue d’eau, et c’était le lac Michigan. Et j’avais environ... je venais d’être ordonné dans l’Eglise baptiste missionnaire. J’avais environ vingt ou vingt et un ans. Et je me suis rendu là, au moment où se tenait–se tenait un grand service du lever du Soleil de Pâques, au bord du lac. Et j’avais fait connaissance avec Paul Rader, et il était censé prêcher à cette réunion-là. Et je voulais visiter le tabernacle pendant que j’étais à Chicago. Et c’était la première fois que je voyais une si grande étendue d’eau. Et je me suis engagé sur le Lakeshore Drive [Route touristique qui longe le rivage du lac Michigan–N.D.T.], et je me suis tenu là pendant un moment, et j’observais toutes ces vagues qui bondissaient, se répandant simplement–simplement partout. J’ai pensé: «Pourquoi le lac est-il si excité? Pourquoi toute cette excitation?» Et les petites vagues se formaient, et elles filaient ensuite pour devenir de très grosses vagues, et elles bondissaient les unes contre les autres et se brisaient; et–et l’écume volait, et puis, elle retombait. Puis, j’ai vu les grosses vagues revenir se briser sur la berge comme ce que vous voyez par ici, mais c’était là quelque chose de neuf pour–pour moi, un–un–un serviteur qui ne fréquente pas la mer. J’ai donc remarqué comment...?...
| E-6 I stood here some years ago for my first time, by a large body of water, which was Lake Michigan. I was about, just had been ordained in the Missionary Baptist church. I was about twenty or twenty-one years old. And I'd went up there when they had the--they had some great Easter sunrise service out on the lakeside. And I was acquainted with Paul Rader, and he was supposed to speak at that meeting. And I wanted to visit the Tabernacle while I was in Chicago. And it was my first time to see that large a body of water.
And I went out on Lakeshore Drive, and I stood out there a little while, and I noticed all them waves jumping up and down, just--just splashing around. I thought, "What's it so excited about? What's all the excitement?" And the little waves would start, and then run out and be great big waves, and bounce into each other, and break apart, and--and the foam would fly up, and then it'd come back in. Then I see the big waves coming again, breaking on the bank, like you're used to here, but that was something new for--for me, a--a--a landlocked servant. So I noticed how...?...

E-7 Et j’ai dit: «Eh bien, qu’est-ce que cela doit être, que le lac ait un réveil? C’est ce que cela doit être. Il est en train de passer de bons moments, bondissant tout simplement.» Je me suis dit: «C’est–c’est bon; c’est bien. Mais vous savez, je me suis–j’ai dit, eh bien, je me demande s’il reçoit une bonne quantité d’eau de plus pendant son réveil?» Je me suis dit: «Non, il n’y a pas une goutte d’eau de plus là-dedans à l’instant qu’il y en avait lorsqu’il était parfaitement calme, pas une seule goutte. C’est la même eau, mais il a simplement un réveil, en bondissant.» Je me suis dit: «Eh bien, quel bien cela fait-il?» J’ai fini par comprendre que, lorsqu’il a un réveil et qu’il bondit comme cela, il rejette toute sa saleté sur le rivage. C’est ce dont l’Eglise a besoin, un réveil; se débarrasser de toutes les mondanités et de toutes les choses du monde afin qu’elle paraisse claire, qu’elle soit de nouveau belle. Lorsque tout se calme, il a toujours la même quantité d’eau.
Mais ce qui provoque cela dans la mer, c’est un vent qui vient, et qui commence à souffler dans le sens contraire aux vagues, sur la masse d’eau, et la soulève. Eh bien, ce dont l’Eglise a besoin ce soir, c’est d’un vent impétueux qui descendra de nouveau sur Elle, pour la ranimer et faire sortir la mondanité et les choses du monde. Et c’est de cette façon-là qu’elle commence un réveil. Et puis, lorsqu’elle va se calmer, toute l’Eglise sera alors dans l’état qu’il faut pour commencer donc à recevoir de Dieu les dons spirituels et les bénédictions, et c’est ce dont nous avons besoin.
| E-7 And I said, "Well what it must be, that the lake's having a revival. That must be what it is. It's having a big time, just jumping up and down." I thought, "That's--that's good; that's fine." But you know, I--I thought, "Well, wonder if it gets a lot of extra water when it's having a revival?" I thought, "No, there isn't one drop more in it right now than if it was perfectly calm, not one bit. It's the same water, but just having a revival, jumping up and down." I thought, "Well, what good does that do?" Come to find out, when it's having revival and jumping up and down like that, it washes all the trash out of it up on the shore. That's what the church needs, is a revival: Get all of the world and things of the world washed out so it can look clear, be pretty again. When it all calms down, it's got the same amount of water.
But what causes the sea to do that is because there's a wind come, begins to blow against the waves, blow against the body of water and pick it up. Well that's what the church needs tonight, is a mighty rushing wind coming down upon it again, and reviving it, and getting all the world out, and the things of the world out. And that way then it starts a revival. And then when it settles down, the church is all in a condition then to start off then to receive spiritual gifts and blessings from God, and that's what we want.

E-8 Je ne crois pas que le réveil que nous attendons viendra de la manière dont nous l’attendons. Cela vient toujours de façon contraire à celle dont nous l’attendons. Christ est venu d’une manière différente, Jean-Baptiste également. Eh bien, si quelqu’un avait réfléchi... Je pense que si certains interprètes des Ecritures du temps de Jean avaient dit: «La voix de celui qui crie dans le désert: préparez le chemin du Seigneur, aplanissez ses sentiers.»... J’imagine que certains d’entre eux pensaient que Dieu ferait descendre du Ciel le corridor, et serait escorté par les anges en descendant sur la terre, et un grand prophète revêtu de dignité descendrait de la Gloire. Et cela devait être tellement glorieux que tous les lieux abaissés seraient élevés et que tous les lieux élevés seraient abaissés. Et que les montagnes devaient sauter comme de petits béliers et toutes les feuilles battre des mains. Quel événement cela devait être, ce que les gens ont certainement attendu de voir en ces jours-là! Mais, que s’est-il passé? Un vieux prédicateur enveloppé d’une peau de brebis, qui ne prenait probablement pas de bain tous les trois ou quatre mois, est sorti du désert, et il s’est tenu dans la boue qui lui arrivait jusqu’aux genoux et criait: «Repentez-vous, car le Royaume des cieux est proche.» C’est à ce moment-là que les lieux élevés ont été abaissés et que les lieux abaissés ont été élevés.
| E-8 I do not believe that the revival that we're looking to come is coming in the fashion that we are looking for. It always comes contrary to what we're looking for. Christ come different, John the Baptist. Well, if anyone would've thought... I suppose if some of the interpreters of the Scripture in John's day would've said, "The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare the way of the Lord, make his paths straight." I imagine some of them thought that God would slip the corridors out of heaven, and have an Angelic escort coming down to the ground, and some great dignified prophet would come walking out of the glory. And it was to be so great till all the low places to be made high. And all the high places bring down low. And the mountains was to skip like little rams, and all the leaves was going to clap their hands. What an event that was to be. What the people must've looked to see in those times... But what did it come to pass to be? An old fuzzy looking preacher with a sheepskin wrapped around him, probably never took a bath every three or four months, walked out of the wilderness, standing in mud up to his knees and hollering, "Repent, for the Kingdom of heaven is at hand." That's when the high places was made low, and the low places was made high.

E-9 Ce que l’homme appelle grand, Dieu l’appelle folie. Et ce que l’homme appelle folie, Dieu l’appelle grand. Alors, ce que nous devons faire, c’est retourner au programme de Dieu et voir ce que Dieu veut que nous fassions, après tout. Et le seul moyen que je connaisse pour y arriver, c’est la prière. La prière c’est la clé. C’est la réponse. La prière change les circonstances. La prière est l’arme la plus puissante qui ait jamais été placée entre les–les mains des êtres humains. Aucune bombe atomique, aucune bombe à hydrogène n’est aussi puissante que la prière. La prière changera la pensée de Dieu. Le savez-vous? Une fois, c’est ce que cela avait fait.
Un prophète avait été envoyé vers le roi dans sa chambre, et il est dit qu’il est monté lui dire qu’AINSI PARLE L’ETERNEL, il ne descendra pas du lit, il va mourir juste là où il est. Esaïe est monté dire cela à Ezéchias. Et j’imagine que toutes les–les grandes personnalités se tenaient à la porte, les paysans se tenaient là dans le parvis extérieur, lorsqu’il est arrivé, ils ont dit: «Ô prophète de Dieu, qu’adviendra-t-il à notre roi?»
«AINSI PARLE L’ETERNEL, il va mourir.» Il est allé vers les soldats qui ont dit: «Ô grand prophète, que dit l’Eternel au sujet de notre roi?»
«AINSI PARLE L’ETERNEL, il va mourir.» Et c’était vrai; l’Eternel le lui avait dit. Il est descendu et il est entré dans sa petite hutte quelque part derrière le désert.
| E-9 What man calls great, God calls foolish. And what man calls foolish, God calls great. So what we've got to do is get back into the program of God and find out, after all, what God wants us to do. And the only way I know to do it is prayer. Prayer is the key. That's the answer. Prayer changes things. Prayer is the most powerful weapon that was ever put in the--the control of human beings. There's no atomic bomb, or no hydrogen bomb as powerful as prayer. Prayer will change the mind of God. Did you know that? It did do it one time.
A prophet was sent up to the king in the chamber, and said go up and tell him, "THUS SAITH THE LORD, he's not coming off the bed, he's going to die right where he's at." Isaiah went up and told Hezekiah that. And I can imagine all the--the celebrity at the gate, the peasants out at the outer courts, when they went in said, "Oh, prophet of God, what will become of our king?"
"THUS SAITH THE LORD, he's going to die."
Went out to the soldiers, "Oh, great prophet, what does the Lord say about our king?"
"THUS SAITH THE LORD, he's going to die." And that was right; the Lord told him that. Goes on down, gets in his little hut somewhere back in the wilderness.

E-10 Et Ezéchias a tourné son visage contre le mur et a pleuré amèrement, et il a dit: «Eternel Dieu, je Te supplie de considérer mon cas; j’ai marché devant Ta face avec intégrité de coeur. J’ai besoin de quinze années de plus pour mettre mon royaume en ordre.» Et, vous savez, en principe, si Dieu voulait dire quelque chose, Il le lui aurait dit alors qu’il Lui parlait. Mais Dieu a des façons de faire les choses. Vous devez suivre la voie de Dieu et la manière de Dieu de faire les choses. Aussi longtemps que nous essayons de nous introduire par nous-mêmes, cela ne marchera donc pas. Et nous ne pouvons tout simplement pas nous prendre comme modèle les uns les autres, nous devons vivre d’une façon individuelle devant Dieu.
Eh bien, évidemment, la plus grande personnalité du pays, c’était le roi. La plus grande Personnalité du Ciel, c’était Dieu. Le plus grand homme de la terre parlant au plus grand Homme du Ciel–le plus grand du Ciel, mais toutefois, la grande puissance du Ciel ne pouvait pas répondre au roi. En effet, il n’était pas appelé à cela, il était simplement un roi. Et alors, Il s’est adressé à Esaïe (c’était Son prophète), et Il a dit: «Va lui dire que J’ai entendu Ses prières et Je vais lui épargner la vie pendant ces quinze ans.» Eh bien, combien, pensez-vous, ce prophète a dû être embarrassé en retournant! «Pourquoi retournes-tu, ô prophète?»
«AINSI PARLE L’ETERNEL, tu vas vivre.» Et il venait de sortir en disant: «AINSI PARLE L’ETERNEL, il va mourir.» Il est revenu avec l’«AINSI PARLE L’ETERNEL, il va vivre. AINSI PARLE L’ETERNEL, il va vivre.» Pourquoi? Qu’est-ce qui avait changé cela? La prière. Voilà le secret. La prière ouvre des portes, la prière. «Tout ce que vous demanderez en prière avec foi, en croyant, vous le recevrez. Demandez beaucoup afin que votre joie soit parfaite.»
| E-10 And Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and wept bitterly, and said, "Lord God, I beseech you to consider me; I walked before you with a perfect heart. I need fifteen years longer to get my kingdom in condition." And you know, looks like that God would've wanted to say anything, He'd have told him while he was talking to him. But God has ways of doing things. You have to come God's ways and God's means of doing things. As long as we try to get in it ourself, then it won't work. And we just can't pattern after one another; we've got to live individually before God.
Now, the greatest man in the land, of course, was the king. The greatest Person in heaven was God. There was the greatest man on earth talking to the greatest Man in heaven--the greatest in heaven, and yet the great powers of heaven couldn't talk back to the king. Because he wasn't meant to be that; he was just a king. And then He talked to Isaiah (That was His prophet.) and said, "Go tell him that I've heard his prayers and I'm going to spare him them fifteen years." Now, how do you think that prophet must've been embarrassed coming right back, "What are you coming back for, prophet?"
"THUS SAITH THE LORD, going to live." And just left the gate saying, "THUS SAITH THE LORD, he's going to die." Come back, "THUS SAITH THE LORD, he's going to live. THUS SAITH THE LORD, he's going to live." Why? What changed it? Prayer. That's the secret. Prayer opens the door: prayer. "Whatsoever you ask in prayer with faith believing, you shall receive it. Ask abundantly that your joys may be full."

E-11 Demandons ce soir à Dieu de ne rien ménager, mais de déverser les puissances des Cieux, même s’Il doit nous secouer, nous mettre en pièces pour que nous allions à la maison du potier afin d’être remodelés. Si c’est ce qu’il faut, c’est ce que je désire. Je pense que c’est ce que tout croyant honnête désire, peu importe ce que cela exige. Maintenant, gardons cela à l’esprit, alors que les réunions vont se poursuivre. «Peu importe ce que cela exige, Seigneur, je veux toutefois que Tu me ravives. Si c’est quelque chose que je suis en train de faire, quelque chose que je ne devrais pas faire, ou quelque chose que j’aurais dû faire, démolis-moi tout simplement et remodèle-moi, afin que je puisse T’obéir.» Et avec ce but-là dans le coeur, Dieu va entrer en scène, aussi sûr que je me tiens derrière cette chaire. C’est juste.
| E-11 Let's ask God tonight to just not spare nothing, but pour out the towers of heaven, if He has to shake us and tear us to pieces, and go down at the potter's house, and be remolded again. If that's what it takes, that's what I want. And I think that's what every honest hearted believer wants, no matter what it takes. Now, let's bear that in mind as the meeting goes on. "I don't care, Lord, what it takes, but I want You to revive me. If it's something I'm doing, something I ought not to do, something that I should've done, just tear me to pieces and make me over again so I'll obey You." And with that purpose in heart, God's just as sure to move on the scene as I'm standing behind this pulpit. That's right.

E-12 Maintenant, c’est la première fois que je peux me souvenir, dans toute l’histoire de mes réunions, que je suis allé à un endroit pour tenir un réveil, et non un service de guérison. Et je suis tout simplement content que cela ait été programmé de cette manière. Je pensais peut-être que ce serait comme ceci, que nous irions jusqu’à Los Angeles passer quelques soirées ici et là, comme cela, mais cela s’est déroulé d’une manière ou d’une autre, ou plutôt tel que cela a été prévu dans la grande économie de Dieu, que je devais être ici dans une église, je pense, pendant ces deux semaines, en train de tenir un réveil. C’est donc peut-être de cette manière que Dieu veut cela; alors, nous allons simplement Lui confier cela. C’est Lui le Chef, n’est-ce pas? Combien L’aiment? Oh! vous êtes tous... C’est bien, alors, à ce qu’il paraît tous les croyants L’aiment. C’est bon.
Eh bien, nous allons–nous allons prêcher ce soir pour préparer nos coeurs pour le service de guérison de demain soir. Puis, le–le jeudi soir, nous allons immédiatement commencer le texte de l’Evangile et ainsi de suite, le Seigneur voulant. Et prions que Dieu nous fasse entrer dans un tel réveil, le dimanche, que la gloire de Dieu va se répandre partout autour de nous, et Dieu va se mouvoir parmi nous avec de grands miracles et des prodiges, et des centaines de gens vont recevoir le Saint-Esprit, pour–pour–pour aller partout.
| E-12 Now, this is the first time that I can remember in all the history of my meetings, that I've ever come to a place to hold a revival, not a healing service. And I'm just glad that this is planned out this way. I thought that maybe it would be, we'd go up to Los Angeles, and here a few nights, and up there, and like that, but it's panned out somehow, or planned in God's great economy that I was to be here, I suppose, for these two weeks in a church, holding a revival. So maybe that's the way God wants it, so we'll just leave it to Him. He's the Boss, isn't He? How many love Him? Oh, you're all... That's fine, then it looks like all believers. That's good.
Well, let's--let's speak tonight and prepare our hearts for the healing service tomorrow night. Then on--on Thursday night we'll start right off with the evangelistic texts and so forth, if the Lord willing. And pray that God will have us in such a revival by Sunday, the glory of God will be raining around all over us, and God will be moving among us with great wonders and signs, and hundreds receiving the Holy Ghost, and and--and just go everywhere.

E-13 Maintenant, nous ne... nous ne voulons donc pas dire... Un véritable et glorieux réveil n’est pas annoncé par de grands titres dans les journaux et des choses de ce genre. Non, non. Il y a une chose qui manquait dans la vie de Jésus-Christ. Je n’aime pas dire cela, mais c’était ça. Il manquait une chose à Jésus-Christ: un sens de mise en scène moderne. Il n’était pas un homme de spectacle, non. Il... Les gens... Aujourd’hui, tout le monde doit avoir de très gros titres dans les journaux pour se vanter de ce qu’ils font. Ça c’est un prétentieux. C’est juste. Ce n’est pas un serviteur de Dieu. Un serviteur de Dieu est humble, il se tient en retrait.
Et lorsqu’un réveil commence, regardez ce qui arrive toujours; lorsque cela est arrivé au temps de Jésus, il n’y avait qu’une minorité, juste quelques personnes. Regardez ce que Jean avait là sur le rivage, juste quelques personnes des régions avoisinantes s’étaient rassemblées pour L’écouter. Environ quatre-vingt-dix-neuf pour cent d’entre eux ont rejeté Son message et sont partis. Et pourtant c’était un grand réveil et c’était un temps de secousse. Dieu secoue les choses, et les gens ne se rendent pas compte que cela se produit. Voyez-vous, Dieu secoue Son Eglise. Le réveil est pour Son Eglise. Je crois que l’Eglise a été appelée à sortir maintenant. Mais la chose à faire revivre, c’est de raviver cette Eglise et la ramener à sa place en la secouant.
| E-13 Now, we don't--we don't mean to say now... A true great revival, it don't get headlines and things like that. No, no. There's one thing that Jesus Christ lacked in His life. I hate to say that, but He did. Jesus lacked one thing, a modern showmanship. He wasn't a showoff, no. He... they... Everybody today's got to have a great big headlines and bragging what they're doing. That's a stuffed shirt. That's right. That's not a servant of God. A servant of God will be humble, keeping himself back.
And when the revival comes, look what's always come; when it come in the days of Jesus, just in the minority, just a few people. Look what John had out there on the banks, just a few people gathered around from the regions round about to hear him. About ninety-nine percent of them rejected his message and walked away. Yet it was a great revival and a shaking time. God shakes things, and people don't realize it's being done. See, God shakes His church. The revival is to His church. I believe the church is called out now. But the thing to revive is to revive and shake that church to its place again.

E-14 Quelqu’un a dit: «Pourquoi perds-tu ton temps avec une bande de pentecôtistes, de saints exaltés et consorts?» Eh bien, c’est là où j’ai été envoyé. Je suis l’un d’eux. Alors, ils–ils ont dit: «Pourquoi n’accomplis-tu–tu pas ces signes, pourquoi ne vas-tu pas jusque dans les grandes villes, les grands palais et autres?» Si vous faites attention, c’est exactement la même chose qui avait été dite à notre Seigneur. Même Ses–même Ses frères Lui ont dit: «Pourquoi ne Te présentes-Tu pas à Caïphe ou ne vas-Tu pas dans certains grands palais pour Te montrer Toi-même. Si Tu es cet Homme, ce Christ, qu’ils sachent qui Tu es.»
Il a dit: «Votre temps est toujours prêt.» Il n’est pas allé là-bas avec eux. Et Son heure n’était pas encore venue. Il n’était pas un homme de spectacle. Et je pense que c’est cela le problème de l’église aujourd’hui; elle offre tellement de spectacles au lieu d’avoir suffisamment de Christ. Vous voyez? Nous avons besoin de Christ, pas de spectacles, Christ. Nous avons besoin d’avoir des coeurs en bon état. Et lorsque nous arriverons à ce point-là, nous nous rendons compte que Dieu est tout simplement le même hier, aujourd’hui et éternellement. Il ne faillit point.
Maintenant, inclinons la tête juste un moment et approchons-nous de l’Auteur avant d’aborder Sa Parole.
| E-14 Someone said, "Why do you fool with a bunch of Pentecostals, holy-rollers and so forth?" Well, that's where I was sent. I'm one of them. So they--they say, "Why don't you--you do these signs, why don't you go up to the big places and high places and so forth?" If you notice, that's the very same thing that was said to our Lord. His--His brethren even said to Him, "Why don't you come up before Caiaphas or some of the--the big places and show Yourself. If you be this Fellow, this Christ, let them know Who You are."
He said, "Your day is always." He didn't go up with them. But His hour was yet to come. He was not a showman. And I think that's what's the matter with the church today; it gets too much show instead of enough Christ. See? We want Christ, no show, Christ, want to condition our hearts. And when we get that place, you'll find out that God's just the same yesterday, today, and forever. He does not fail.
Now, let us bow our heads just a moment and approach the Author before we approach His Word.

E-15 Notre Père céleste, nous sommes vraiment un peuple privilégié ce soir d’être rassemblés ici dans une nation libre, où nous pouvons adorer Dieu d’après la–la voix de notre propre conscience. Nous sommes tellement contents de cela, et de la porte qui est encore ouverte dans notre pays, tout en sachant que cela ne durera donc pas très longtemps, avant que cette occasion nous soit ôtée. Et, Seigneur, ce sera une chose glorieuse, lorsque cela se produira, parce qu’à ce moment-là, l’amour de Dieu nous contraindra au point que nos coeurs s’uniront.
Je prie, Père, pour cette semaine qui vient, pour Long Beach, et pour cette Eglise appelée par Dieu à se rassembler, là où les enfants de Dieu se rassemblent. Et l’Eglise, ce sont ceux qui constituent le Corps. Et nous prions, ô Dieu, pour ce pasteur. Je Te prie de bénir, Seigneur, et à cause de ses bras et de son coeur ouverts, pour qu’un réveil commence, que leurs prières ne soient pas vaines. Mais puisses-Tu nous exaucer cette semaine par un réveil qui balayera et embrasera d’un bout à l’autre cette côte ouest, ô Seigneur.
| E-15 Our heavenly Father, we are indeed a privileged people tonight to be assembled together here in a free nation, where we can worship God by the--our own dictates of our conscience. We are so glad for this, and for an open door yet in our land, knowing that it won't be too long now, until this opportunities will be taken away from us. And, Lord, it'll be a great thing when it is, because then the love of God will constrain us till our hearts will come together.
I pray, Father, for this oncoming meeting, for Long Beach, and for this church, called by God's assembling, where God's children assemble together. And the church is the people that makes up the body. And we pray, God, for this pastor. I pray that You'll bless him, Lord, and by his throwing his arms open, and his heart, for a revival to begin, may their prayers not be in vain. But may You answer us this week with a sweeping revival that'll catch fire, all up and down this west coast, Lord.

E-16 Et le peuple de Dieu comprendra que, comme il en était au temps d’Ezéchiel, où les ossements s’étaient rassemblés et que la peau poussa dessus, et qu’ils se tinrent debout, et cependant, ils avaient besoin qu’on prophétise sur eux, pour que la vie entre en eux. Père céleste, nous pourrions nous organiser, unir les églises, et–et joindre nos mains et unir les os, mais il faudra cependant la prophétie d’un vent puissant pour ramener la vie en nous. Père, nous prions que ce ne soit pas seulement une–une très longue réunion, mais que ce soit un réveil qui va secouer réellement chaque coeur, chaque foyer, chaque église, chaque membre, jusqu’à ce que le Saint-Esprit aura la prééminence dans chaque vie.
Dès ce moment-là, ô Seigneur, les ouvriers iront partout dans les coins de rues et sur les chemins, non pas avec un visage couvert de honte, mais en tant que de vaillants soldats brûlants, avec des visages comme celui d’Etienne, comme une maison en feu par un temps de grand vent. On ne pouvait pas l’arrêter, ni le sanhédrin non plus. Mais il leur a crié: «Hommes au cou raide, incirconcis de coeur et d’oreilles...» Même la mort n’a pas arrêté son message. Cela est allé jusqu’à Saul de Tarse, cela ne l’a pas du tout quitté jusqu’à ce que, ô Dieu, Tu l’as battu sur le feu et Tu l’as lancé, et il est devenu l’apôtre pour l’âge des Gentils. Ce seul homme-là, alors qu’il se mourait, il s’est agenouillé et a dit: «Je vois Jésus debout à la droite de Dieu», qui le regardait...
| E-16 And the people of God realize that as it was in the time of Ezekiel, the bones went to the bones and the skin upon it, and they stood up, but yet they needed to be prophesied to, to cause life to come into them. Heavenly Father, we might organize, and get the churches together, and--and join our hands and go bone to bone, but yet it takes the prophecy of a shaking wind to bring life back to us again. Father, we pray that there'll be not only a--a protractive meeting, but a revival that'll truly shake every heart, every home, every church, every member, until the Holy Spirit becomes predominate in every life.
From that, Lord, will go forth workers into the street corners and byways, with not a shamed look upon their face, but as gallant soldiers burning: faces like Stephen's was, when like a house on fire in a high wind. They could not stop him; neither could the Sanhedrin court stop him. But he screamed out upon them, "Stiff-necked, uncircumcised in the heart and ears..." Even death itself didn't stop his message. It got onto Saul of Tarsus, never left him until, God, You struck him on fire and started him out, become a apostle to the Gentile age. That one man, when he was dying, kneeling on his knees and saying, "I see Jesus standing at the right hand of God," that look upon him...

E-17 Ô Dieu, nous Te prions d’envoyer le Saint-Esprit avec une telle puissance de conviction qu’Il mettra cet air de détermination sur chaque coeur et sur chaque visage qui s’est rassemblé dans cette église. Accorde, ô Seigneur, qu’il y ait un temps de sondage des âmes, car nous comprenons que nous vivons dans une heure tardive, plus tardive que nous ne le pensons. Tu as dit que Tu viendrais «au moment où vous ne vous y attendez pas», cela pourrait donc être à n’importe quel moment.
Je Te prie, ô Père, de m’aider. Je parlais, il y a quelques instants, de la vision des quatre cavaliers, de la guérison divine, de tout ce qui pourrait advenir... ô Seigneur, nous T’ouvrons simplement nos coeurs. Viens T’occuper de nous, ô Seigneur, selon notre besoin. Retranche de nous le monde, Seigneur. Prends Ton épée bien aiguisée à deux tranchants, la Parole, et juge les pensées de nos coeurs et de nos esprits, et rappelle-nous là où nous avons failli. Et que nous n’arrêtions de prier que lorsque nous verrons l’exaucement de nos prières. Accorde-le, Père. Circoncis mes lèvres; circoncis les coeurs de gens, que je puisse parler et qu’ils puissent écouter la Parole du Seigneur. Nous demandons ceci pour la gloire de Dieu, au Nom de Son Fils Jésus-Christ. Amen.
| E-17 God, we pray that You'll send the Holy Spirit in such a convicting power that'll place that look of determination upon every heart and upon every face that gathers in this church. Grant it, Lord, that there might be a soul searching time, for we realize that we're living in a late hour, later than we think. You said You'd come in the hour that you'd think not, so it may be at any time.
I pray, Father, that You'll help me. Speaking a few moments ago upon saying the four horse riders, Divine healing, whatever it might fall, Lord, we just open our hearts to You. You come deal with us, Lord, just as we have need. Cut all the world away from us, Lord. Take Thy sharp two-edged sword, the Word, and discern the thoughts of our hearts and mind, and bring to our memory where we're short. And may we not cease praying until we see our prayers answered. Grant it, Father. Circumcise my lips; circumcise the hearts of the people, that I might speak and they might hear the Word of the Lord. We ask this for God's glory in the Name of His Son Jesus Christ. Amen.

E-18 Je prie le Seigneur Jésus que ce réveil commence dès maintenant, que tout le monde ait faim et soif... Maintenant, apprêtez-vous tout simplement, chaque personne; ne vous attendez pas au voisin; cela n’a rien à voir avec le voisin, mais nous-mêmes. Jeûnons, prions, invoquons Dieu. Téléphonons, appelons quelqu’un, amenons-le. Conduisons nos enfants dans la prière. Rassemblons nos familles. Ouvrons simplement nos coeurs et disons: «Seigneur, nous voici.»
Maintenant, en prévision du service de demain soir pour le service de guérison, les jeunes gens seront là avec les cartes de prière vers 18 h 30. Vous qui désirez avoir une carte de prière, venez et que les malades viennent tout autour de moi, juste ici. Beaucoup d’entre vous qui avez déjà assisté aux réunions, vous savez comment ça marche. Je... Ce serait mieux pour quelqu’un ayant la foi, et qui croit, de s’asseoir ici, de s’asseoir devant, plutôt que là derrière, parce que bien des fois, lorsque je les vois là derrière, je... Il y a tellement de choses qui se produisent d’ici jusque-là, pendant que cela... là où les canaux (comme j’appelle cela), ou–ou plutôt les rayons de foi qui viennent du milieu de gens, cela produit une certaine confusion. Toutefois, cela va partout dans la foule avec des milliers et des milliers de gens. Mais, j’aimerais plutôt avoir les malades ici devant, tout autour de moi.
| E-18 I pray the Lord Jesus, that the revival will be on from this time on, that everybody hungering and thirsting... Now, just make ready, each person; don't wait on the neighbor; it's nothing about the neighbor: ourself. Let's fast; let's pray; call on God. Get on the phone; call somebody; get them over. Lead our children to prayer. Get our family groups together. Just open up our hearts and say, "Lord, here we are."
Now, on getting ready for the service tomorrow night for healing service then, the boys will be over with the prayer cards about six-thirty. You that want prayer cards, come and let the sick people get up around me, up here. Many of you has been in the meetings; you know how it works. I'd... Better for somebody setting here with faith believing, setting in front, than back there, because sometimes when I them seen back in there, I... There's so many between that, while it--where the channels, as I call it, or--or rays of faith that comes from the people, it's confusing. However it does go all over the crowd and thousands times thousands of people. But I'd rather get the sick people up here in front, around where I'm at.

E-19 Eh bien, ce soir, j’aimerais parler d’un sujet... J’aimerais d’abord vous lire un verset tiré des Ecritures, qui se trouve dans Luc, chapitre 2, verset 26.
Et voici, il y avait à Jérusalem un homme appelé Siméon. Cet homme était juste et pieux, il attendait la consolation d’Israël, et l’Esprit Saint était sur lui.
Il avait été divinement averti par le Saint-Esprit qu’il ne mourrait point avant d’avoir vu le Christ du Seigneur.
Maintenant, j’aimerais prendre comme sujet l’Expectative. Eh bien, avant que vous ne soyez dans l’expectative, il faut que la foi accompagne cette expectative. Il n’y a que deux éléments au monde qui contrôlent le monde ce soir; c’est la peur et la foi. La Russie cherche à amener tout le monde à avoir peur d’elle, et nous, nous cherchons à amener tout le monde à avoir foi en Dieu. Voilà la différence. Ce sont ces deux éléments qui contrôlent toutes les nations, tout le monde, toutes les églises, les individus; ce sont la peur, et la foi.
| E-19 Now, tonight I want to speak on a subject... First I want to read to you a verse out of the Scripture found in Saint Luke the 2nd chapter, the 26th verse.
And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him.
And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he would not see death until he had seen the Lord's Christ.
Now, I want to take the subject of "Expectation." Now, before you can have expectation, there must be faith to accompany that expectation. And there's only two elements in the world that controls the world tonight, that's fear and faith. Russia's trying to get everybody to fear them, and we're trying to get everybody to have faith in God. That's the difference. That two element controls all nations, controls all people, controls all churches, controls individuals, is fear or faith.

E-20 Or, la peur n’a pas de vertu, aucune du tout. Elle est complètement inutile, cela ne... Elle n’a rien de bon en elle. Si je devais être fusillé le matin, je serais fusillé, à quoi me servirait-il d’avoir peur? Quel bien cela me ferait-il? Vous diriez: «Eh bien, à quoi cela vous servirait-il d’avoir la foi?» La foi pourrait me délivrer. Mais la peur ne m’aidera pas du tout. Vous vous mettrez dans tous vos états et deviendrez encore plus nerveux qu’au moment d’être fusillé. Ayons donc la foi. La foi peut me délivrer, et même si elle ne me délivre pas, à quoi bon d’avoir peur de toute façon? Restez simplement avec la foi et accrochez-vous-y. Prenez la promesse de Dieu et restez avec Dieu.
| E-20 Now, fear has no valuation in it, none whatever. It's perfectly endless, it doesn't--it hasn't got one good thing about it. If I was to be shot in the morning, was going to be shot, what good would it do to have fear? What good would it do me? You say, "Well, what good would faith do you?" Faith could deliver me. But fear won't help me a bit. You just get yourself all worked up and more nervous than ever when it comes time for the gun to fire. So let's have faith. Faith could deliver me, but if it doesn't, what good would fear do anyhow? Just stay right with faith and hold on to it. Take God's promise and remain with God.

E-21 Et maintenant, alors que nous commençons à lire la Parole et à enseigner la Parole... Pour rien au monde je ne sortirai de la Parole. Et, souvenez-vous, vous devez croire ceci concernant Dieu: Dieu tient Sa Parole. Il le fera. S’Il ne le fait pas, Il n’est pas Dieu. Il est... Dieu est infini. Et lorsque quelque chose est infini, c’est... Eh bien, il n’y a pas moyen d’expliquer ce que c’est que l’infini. Mais nous, nous sommes limités. Par conséquent, nous pouvons dire une chose et le lendemain, ou plutôt, une heure après ou cinq minutes après, il nous faudra changer cela et dire: «Oh! je me suis trompé.» Mais Dieu ne peut pas faire cela s’Il est infini. En effet, Il donne Sa–Il donne Sa–Sa–Sa promesse, et Il ne peut jamais revenir là-dessus. Sa promesse est toujours la meilleure; Sa décision est toujours parfaite. Et si cela est parfait, cela ne peut jamais être plus parfait, cela doit donc être toujours correct. Eh bien, si par conséquent vous avez la foi...
| E-21 And now, as we begin to read the Word and to teach the Word... I'll never go outside the Word for anything. And remember, that you must believe this in God, that God keeps His Word. He will do that. If He doesn't, He isn't God. He's... God is infinite. And when anything is infinite, it's... Well, there's no way to explain what infinite is. But we are finite. Therefore, we can say anything and the next day or an hour from that or five minutes, we'll have to alter it and say, "Oh, I was mistaken." But God can't do that if He's infinite. Because He makes His--He makes His--His--His promise, and He can never go back on it. His promise is always the best; His decision is always perfect. And if it's perfect, it can never be any more perfect, so it's always got to be right. Now, therefore if you have faith...

E-22 Je parlais à un–à un médecin, il y a quelque temps, à propos de l’un de ses patients qui avait été guéri. Il a dit: «Eh bien, Billy (C’est un ami à moi.), il y a–il n’y a pas de doute du tout.» Il a dit: «Tiens, le cancer se trouvait là, a-t-il dit, j’ai opéré cet homme et je n’ai pas pu atteindre cela, cela se trouvait dans sa gorge.» Et il a dit... Et c’était le beau-frère de ce médecin, et il a dit: «Cela a complètement disparu.» Et certaines personnes se trouvaient là dehors avec le gérant du motel pendant que nous tenions la réunion; il racontait cela à tout le monde, disant que c’était la foi qui avait fait cela. Il a dit: «Oui, Billy, je crois cela.» Il a dit: «Maintenant, pour ce qui est d’avoir la foi, a-t-il dit, maintenant, je crois que s’il pouvait sortir toucher un arbre et dire qu’il avait la foi dans...»
J’ai dit: «Non, cela ne marchera pas.»
Il a dit: «S’il avait la foi.»
J’ai dit: «Il n’a aucune base pour sa foi.» Eh bien, toucher un arbre en ayant la foi, ça c’est de la superstition. Vous devez avoir une base pour votre foi. «Et la foi vient de ce qu’on entend, et ce qu’on entend vient de la Parole de Dieu.» Maintenant, avant... Si vous prenez cela juste comme si c’était un reportage d’un journal ou quelque chose, alors, vous ne pouvez pas avoir foi en cela; ces gens commettront des erreurs parce que ce sont des humains. Mais cette Bible ne commet pas d’erreurs. Elle doit être parfaite, parce que c’est la Parole de Dieu. Et Dieu ne vaut pas plus que Sa Parole, ou bien, vous ne valez pas plus que votre parole. Moi, je ne vaux pas plus que ma parole. Ainsi donc, lorsque la Bible déclare une chose, souvenez-vous-en, c’est réglé pour toujours.
| E-22 I was speaking to a--a doctor some time ago about one of his patients that had been healed. He said, "Why, Billy," (He's a friend of mine.) he said, "there's--there's no doubt at all." Said, "My, the cancer was there." Said, "I operated on the man and couldn't get it, it was in his throat." And he said... And he was a brother-in-law to the doctor, and he said, "It's absolutely gone." And some of the people was out to the man that run the motel, while we was having the meeting he was telling everybody about it, and how that faith did it. He said, "Yes, Billy, I believe that." Said, "Now, to have faith," said, "now I believe if he'd have went out and touched a tree and said he had faith in..."
I said, "No, that won't work."
He said, "If he had faith."
I said, "He hasn't got no grounds for faith." Now, touching a tree having faith; that's superstition. You've got to have a ground for faith. "And faith cometh by hearing, hearing the Word of God." Now, before... If you just take it like any newspaper report or something, why, you can't have faith in that; they'll make errors because they're human. But this Bible cannot make an error. It's got to be perfect because it's the Word of God. And God is no better than His Word, or you're no better than your word. I'm no better than my word. So therefore, when the Bible says anything, remember, it's settled forever.

E-23 Et si jamais Dieu est appelé sur scène pour prendre une décision sur un certain problème, la décision qu’Il prendra lorsqu’Il est encore appelé sur la scène pour le même problème devra être la même. Il ne peut pas la changer pour une autre décision, et dire: «Eh bien, J’ai fait ça pour celui-ci, et... mais Je ne ferai pas ça pour celui-là.» Maintenant, s’Il fait cela, alors Il avait pris une mauvaise décision la première fois. Il a donc fait Sa Parole de telle sorte que «Si tu crois...»
Lorsqu’Il... un homme Lui a demandé pardon pour ses péchés, et que Dieu a pardonné cet homme de ses péchés, si vous venez, ou n’importe qui vient sur cette même base en demandant humblement pardon sur base de la foi, Dieu est tenu de faire la même chose qu’Il avait faite la première fois pour cet homme-là. Et si jamais un homme est malade et qu’il invoque Dieu, si jamais Dieu guérit cette personne, si jamais Il guérissait une personne, et sur la même base qu’Il a amené cet homme-là pour sa guérison, si jamais Il est de nouveau invoqué, Il doit garder la même décision. S’Il ne le fait pas, c’est qu’Il s’était trompé; et si alors Il s’était trompé, Il n’est pas infini. Et s’Il–s’Il n’est pas infini, alors Il n’est pas Dieu.
| E-23 And if God is ever called on the scene to make a decision on a certain thing, and the decision that He made when He's called on the scene for the same thing again, His decision has to remain the same way. He cannot change it for one, saying, "Well, I did it to this one, and--but I won't do it for this one." Now, if He does that, then He made the wrong decision when He made it the first time. So He made His Word so that "If ye can believe..."
When he--a man asked Him forgiveness for his sins, and God forgave that man of his sins, if you come, or whosoever will comes upon them same basis of humbly asking forgiveness, based upon faith, God's obligated to do the same thing He did for that man the first time. And if a man's ever sick and calls on God, and if God ever heals one person, ever did heal one person, and the same grounds that He brought that man to for his healing, if He's ever called on again, He's got to remain with the same decision. If He didn't, He made a mistake and then if He made a mistake He's not infinite. And if He--if He's not infinite, then He's not God.

E-24 Vous voyez, vous devez revenir immédiatement pour reconnaître que cette Parole est la Vérité. Lorsque Jésus regardait l’assistance et connaissait leurs pensées, qu’était-ce? Il était la Parole. «Au commencement était la Parole, et la Parole était avec Dieu, et la Parole était Dieu.» Eh bien, les gens auraient dû reconnaître cela, qu’Il était la Parole de Dieu rendue manifeste. Maintenant, cette même Parole parlée de Dieu, le Saint-Esprit peut rendre manifeste chaque promesse de Dieu, si seulement vous la croyez.
| E-24 See, you've got to come right back to know this Word's the truth. Now, that's exactly what gives me my bold stand in Christ, because I believe that Word is truth. It just cannot fail. It can no more fail than God, because it is God. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And the Word was made flesh and dwelled among us." Hebrews 4 tells us that the Word of God is powerful, more sharper than any two-edged sword, cutting both ways into the asunder and the marrow of the bone, and even a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. When Jesus looked upon the audience and perceived their thought, what was it? He was the Word. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." Well, they ought to have knowed it, that He was the Word of God made manifest. Now, that same spoken Word of God, the Holy Spirit can make any promise of God manifest, if you'll just believe it.

Eh bien, souvenez-vous, si vous allez entrer dans ce réveil en essayant de comprendre quelque chose, vous feriez tout aussi bien de sortir pour commencer, parce que vous ne devez pas faire cela. Rappelez-vous, Dieu ne connaît pas l’homme par... ou Dieu... Ou plutôt l’homme ne connaît pas Dieu par son intellect. Il Le connaît par son coeur. Au jardin d’Eden, eh bien, l’homme a été divisé entre Dieu et Satan. Satan a pris sa tête; Dieu a pris son coeur. Par son intellect, l’homme essaie de soutenir des choses, mais par la foi en Dieu, dans son coeur, Il l’amènera à croire des choses que la raison ne confirmera même pas. «Car la foi est une ferme assurance des choses qu’on espère, une démonstration de celles qu’on ne voit pas.» Voyez-vous, c’est... Il doit croire la Parole de Dieu. Oh! frère, si seulement vous pouvez bien faire descendre et enfoncer cela dans votre coeur, cela amènera chaque démon à sauter et à quitter immédiatement. Voyez-vous? Alors... Oh! c’est ce que ça–ça fait.
Maintenant, je–je–je sais de quoi je parle. J’ai eu... Cela fait maintenant trente et un ans depuis que je suis dans le ministère. Et je–je sais de quoi je parle. Et sincèrement, de toute ma vie, jamais, je n’ai jamais demandé quelque chose à Dieu, avec cette Bible ouverte, qu’Il ne m’ait donné ou qu’Il ne m’ait dit pourquoi Il ne pouvait pas le faire. C’est juste. En effet, des fois, Il ne peut pas me donner la chose parce que je pense que j’en ai besoin, mais Lui en sait mieux. Néanmoins Il est toujours venu me dire pourquoi. Et alors, je–je sais que c’est vrai. Ainsi, Dieu tient Sa Parole. Vous pouvez tout simplement vous reposer sur cela.
| E-25 Now, expectation, it has to be built upon something that got a faith behind it. Because if you're expecting something is because something's been promised or some way like that. So if you want to have real expectations it must be built upon THUS SAITH THE LORD. Look at Noah. It was...
Sometimes God asked you to do things that's ridiculous to your own human thinking. Now, remember, if you're going to enter this revival trying to figure out something, you might as well enter out to begin with, 'cause you can't do it. Remember, God does not know man by--or God... Man does not know God, rather, by his head. He knows Him by his heart. In the garden of Eden, why, man was divided between God and Satan. Satan took his head; God took his heart. With his intellectuals he tries to reason out things, but by faith in his heart through God will make him believe things that reason won't even vindicate. "For it's the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." See, it's... He's got to believe God's Word. Oh, brother, if you could just get that down good and sunk in your heart, it'd make every devil jump and leave right now. See? So... Oh, it--it does it.
Now, I--I--I'm know what I'm speaking of. I've had... This is thirty-one years in the ministry for me. And I--I know what I speak of. And I've never sincerely, in all my life, ever asked God anything, with this Bible open, unless He gave it to me or told me why He couldn't do it. That's right. 'Cause there's sometimes He can't give it to me 'cause I think I want it, and He knows better. But He's always come and told me why. And so I--I know that's true. So God keeps His Word. You can just depend on that.

Mais Noé disait: «Dieu l’a dit. Cela règle la question. Si Dieu l’a dit, Il peut créer la pluie là-haut, s’Il veut.» Ainsi, il s’attendait à ce qu’il pleuve, il a alors pris des dispositions en prévision de la pluie. Oh! j’aime cela. Oh! prenez des dispositions aussi longtemps que vous entendez la Parole de Dieu, prenez donc des dispositions, car cela se produira, et soyez dans l’expectative. Oh! je commence à me sentir religieux avec cela pour commencer. Vous voyez? De penser que... Dieu l’a dit, alors prenez... Attendez-vous à cela.
| E-26 Now, when Noah was asked to build an ark by God, why he moved with fear, knowing... Could you imagine what the critics was saying? Noah was expecting it to rain, because God said it was going to rain. Now, it never had rained on the earth. Could you imagine the critics saying, "Oh, look, poor old fellow's kind a little off at his head. But he said... "Where's that rain at Noah? Tell me where it's at; I don't see any of it up there. There--there's no rain from up there, never has been, never will be."
But Noah said, "God said so. That settles it. If God said so, He can create rain up there if He wanted to." So he was expecting it to rain, so he made preparations for the rain. Oh, I like that. Oh, make preparations as long as you hear God's Word, then make preparations for it to happen and wait under expectation. Oh, that makes me start feeling religious to begin with. See? To think that... God said so, then make--be expecting it.

E-27 Maintenant, si Dieu a promis un réveil ici, nous allons l’avoir. Apprêtons-nous pour cela. Si Dieu a promis de guérir, apprêtons-nous pour cela. Nous ne voyons pas cela; je ne vois aucune espérance dans cela, à ce qu’il paraît. Mais si Dieu l’a dit, faisons-le de toute façon, parce que Dieu l’a dit; cela arrivera de toute façon. Je–je m’attends à cela.
Je crois que Jésus revient. La science a prouvé que l’on peut prendre de quelque chose un peu de pollen et un peu de mucus et mettre là-dedans quelque chose et ainsi de suite comme ça, et ils prétendent qu’ils peuvent pratiquement créer une vie humaine. Oh! ils sont tellement intelligents qu’ils peuvent... ils ont placé là-haut dans les cieux un spoutnik avec à l’intérieur le coeur d’un homme battant. Cela ne me dérange pas du tout. Ils disent: «Eh bien, un de ces jours, vous allez vous rendre compte que toute cette religion dont vous parlez, c’est de la folie.» Non, ça ne sera pas le cas. Jésus sera ici. Nous aurons un Millénium. Nous irons à la Maison dans la Gloire. Je m’attends à cela, alors, je me prépare pour cela; j’attends cela chaque jour, je suis prêt. «Quand reviendra-t-Il?» Je ne sais pas, mais s’Il ne vient pas aujourd’hui, j’attendrai demain. Je m’attends à cela. Je m’attends à cela, tout simplement parce qu’Il l’a dit, et je vis chaque jour dans l’expectative. C’est juste. Vous devez être dans l’expectative, certainement. Noé était dans l’expectative.
| E-27 Now, if God has promised a revival here, we're going to have it. Let's make ready for it. If God promised to heal, let's make ready for it. If Jesus said, "The works that I do, shall you do also," let's make ready for it. Move out everything; get ready. We're right in time. So just... Now, it'll seem foolish. Now, you say, "Well, how's it going to happen in a day like this and when all this..." I don't care what anything contrary is to that, it--it's wrong. We can't see it; I see no hope of it, look like. But if God said so, let's do it anyhow, 'cause God said so; it'll happen anyhow. I'm--I'm expecting it.
I believe Jesus is coming. Science is proving they can take a little pollen from something and some mucus, and put something in it and so forth like this, and they can almost make human life, they claim. Oh, they're so smart they can--got a sputnik up in the sky and a human heart beating in it. That don't bother me a bit. They say, "Well, one of these days you'll find out all the religion you're talking about is crazy." No, I won't. Jesus will be here. We'll have a millennium. We'll go home to glory. I'm expecting it, so I'm preparing for it; I'm waiting for it every day being ready. "When will He come?" I don't know, but if He isn't here today, I'll be looking tomorrow. I'm expecting it, just 'cause He said so, and I live daily under those expectations. That's right. You must have expectation, certainly. Noah did.

«Nous allons l’avoir de toute façon. Je m’y attends.»Dieu a dit: «Sépare-toi de ta famille.» Bien des fois, c’est ce que vous devez faire, vous séparer de ce tas d’incrédulité. Et, souvenez-vous, avant qu’Abraham ait pleinement obéi à Dieu... La bénédiction ne vint que lorsqu’il eut pleinement obéi à Dieu. Il avait amené son père, et celui-ci lui causa des ennuis. Et puis, finalement, ce fut Lot avec un berger qui lui causèrent des ennuis. Et puis, aussitôt qu’il s’est séparé de tout, comme Dieu... Il avait pleinement obéi. Lorsqu’il est parvenu à une pleine obéissance, alors Dieu apporta la bénédiction.

But one day... Say he was a farmer out on the farm, and God spoke to him. He was seventy-five years old, his wife was sixty-five. And He said, "Abraham, you're going to have a baby by your wife Sarah." Well, he went out and got all the arrangements made. Why? He was expecting it. He was expecting the baby to come, any time. "Will it be the next twenty-eight days you'll know about it?"
"I don't know. If it isn't, maybe the next twenty-eight." The first time I imagine he said to Sarah, "How you feeling, dear?" After the first of the month had passed.
"No different."
"Thank God, we'll have it anyhow. Yes. Go ahead and make the little booties and get the little jacket ready, get all the Birdeye and the pins, 'cause we're going to have it. That's right. I'm expecting it. That's right. Put them in your hope chest and get ready 'cause it's coming." A year passed. "Any difference, dear?"
"Not a bit."
"We're going to have it anyhow. I'm expecting it."
God said, "Separate yourself from your kindred." That's what you have to do a lot of times, separate yourself from a lot of unbelief. And remember, until Abraham fully obeyed God, the blessing never come until he fully obeyed God. He took his daddy along, and he caused trouble. And then Lot finally caused trouble, and a herdsman. And then as soon as he got separated from everything like God... He fully obeyed. When he come to full obedience, then God brought the blessing.

E-29 Maintenant, l’Eglise pentecôtiste attendait une–une visitation dans la Terre promise, pour une complète restauration des dons et de tout le reste. Mais aussitôt qu’elle s’est mise à parler en langues et à interpréter, les gens ont alors commencé à s’organiser, à former diverses organisations, en se séparant et des choses comme cela. Vous... Oh! ils diront: «Eh bien, ils vont faire ce...»
| E-29 Now, the Pentecostal church has been expecting a--a visit into the promised land, for all the restoration of the gifts and things. But as soon as it begin to speak with tongues and interpretate, then they begin to organize, make different organizations, separating themselves and things like that. You battle around for forty years. You just keep on battling as long as you do that. But when you get yourselves together, like they did on the day of Pentecost, come together, then expect God to do something. "If the people that's called by My Name will assemble themselves together and pray, then I'll hear from heaven." Now, if we'll do that, we can expect something. Until we do that, we might as well not expect it, because it's not coming. We've got to fully obey God. You've got to come to a place where the--the Assemblies of God and the Church of God, and the Foursquare Church of God, and the Oneness, and Twoness, and Threeness, and Fiveness, and all them other little old isms that you got off on, will forget your differences and come together and pray, then I'll expect to hear something from heaven. You... Oh, they say "Well, they'll do this..."

E-30 Eh bien, l’autre jour, une certaine organisation, pendant que j’étais à Beaumont, au Texas, puisque j’avais fait asseoir sur l’estrade [des ministres] venant d’environ quarante-deux églises (Une seule église m’avait parrainé), et c’étaient tous des gens très bien. «Eh bien, ai-je dit, je vais faire quelque chose différent de cela. Je vais tracer une autre ligne, et vous inclure. Vous, vous m’avez exclu par une ligne, moi, je vais en tracer une autre et vous inclure.» C’est juste.
Voilà donc ce qu’il en est; déployons nos tentes jusque là au loin, pour faire entrer d’autres frères. Certainement, c’est ce que nous devrions faire. Et ensuite, après que nous aurons fait cela, nous pouvons nous attendre à ce que Dieu réponde. Mais tant que nous n’aurons pas fait cela, Il ne répondra pas, parce que nous devons nous séparer des choses du monde. Lorsque Abraham a pleinement obéi à Dieu, alors il a compris... après avoir totalement fait cela, alors aussitôt trois Anges sont venus et ont annoncé la naissance du bébé, et il les a accompagnés. | E-30 Well, the other day a certain organization, when I was in Beaumont, Texas, because I had setting on the platform, from (One church sponsored me) about forty two churches, and they were all fine people, and the district presbyter called me up and said, "I draw a line, from this on, Mr. Branham, I'll draw you out. You had a man setting on the platform was baptized wrong."
Well, I said, "I'm going to do something different from that. I'm going draw another line, take you in. You put me out on one, I'm going to draw another, take you back in." That's right.
So that's what it is; spread out our tents way out yonder, get other brothers. Yes, sir, that's what we got to do. And then when we do that, we can expect God to answer. But until we do that, He won't answer, because we got to separate ourselves from the things of the world. And as long as the Pentecostal church keeps lusting after the things of the world, this, that, and the other one, and--you just might as well quit. Until you get back to the real Gospel again, get back to God's Word, get back to THUS SAITH THE LORD, we'll never prosper till we do that. God will not hear, until we fully obey God. Yes, sir.
When Abraham fully obeyed God, then he knowed that when he fully done it, then right away three Angels come up and announced the birth of the baby, and he come along. But Abraham never give up, just kept expecting it, kept expecting it, and finally he got hisself all in the will of the Lord and then it happened. But until he does that, it just won't happen.

Well, certainly, there was nothing Moses didn't know. Now, wonder if back there forty years on the desert, and herding the sheep, what if he'd thought, "I believe I'll go back down to Egypt and--and dress up my, oh, maybe my mathematics a little bit." Why, he knowed so much he could teach the teachers. He didn't need any education. He didn't have to have anything taught to him, for he knowed it all. But he was a failure with all he knowed.

C’est très bien. «Allez et construisez des hôpitaux.» Non, non. Ce n’était pas là la commission qui a été donnée à l’Eglise. L’église construit des hôpitaux. L’église construit des écoles. L’église construit des édifices. Mais, voici ce qu’était la commission: «Allez par tout le monde, et prêchez la Bonne Nouvelle.» Qu’est-ce que la Bonne Nouvelle? Elle ne consiste pas seulement en paroles, a dit Paul, mais aussi en la manifestation de la Parole. «L’Evangile ne nous a pas été prêché en paroles seulement, mais avec puissance et démonstration du Saint-Esprit.» En d’autres termes: «Allez par tout le monde, et démontrez la puissance de la résurrection. Voici les miracles qui accompagneront ceux qui auront cru.» Le simple fait d’enseigner la Parole ne suffira pas; vous devez avoir la puissance du Saint-Esprit derrière cette Parole pour La vivifier de nouveau. | E-32 Now, I believe in Bible schools. I believe we should do that. We should have Bible schools. My boy just come out of Waxahachie. I got a girl fixing to go in there. Waxahachie Assembly of God School, in Waxahachie, Texas. I believe in that. But, brother, when we get to teaching in the--our schools and seminary, just the right way to speak and so forth and all, education and so forth... What we need today in seminaries and all, is a back to God, back to God, not our educational programs, but our salvation program. Go ye into all the world and make seminaries. No, sir. Go ye in all the world, build churches. No, sir. They're all right. Go and build hospitals. No, sir, that's wasn't what the church was commissioned to do. Church is building hospitals. Church is building schools. Church is building buildings. But here was the commission, "Go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel." What is the Gospel? Not just the Word only, Paul said, but the manifestation of the Word. "The Gospel came to us not in word only, but through power and demonstrations of the Holy Ghost." In other words, "Go ye into all the world and demonstrate the power of the resurrection. These signs shall follow them that believe." Just teaching the Word won't do it; you've got to have the power of the Holy Ghost behind that Word to make it come to life again. Amen. It'll come to life.

They got a (What was it?) sunflower seed or something, four thousand years ago out of the--out of old King Tut's tomb: A sunflower seed, and planted it, and God had preserved that life. Absolutely. "Though the skin worms destroys this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God." God's Word will never be destroyed. God's Word, if you'll plant it in the right kind of conditions on God's Word, it'll do the same thing it did at the beginning. That's right. Correct.

And then, first thing you know, when I'd shoot at the squirrel, I'd have to see four corners of his eye. He's looking at me I wouldn't shoot at him. If he had his back turned I wouldn't shoot at him. He had to set right. Thirty yards I'd leave him alone, twenty yards... He had to be fifty yards. That's just 'cause I got enough that way.
One day that little rifle went out. And I just couldn't make it come in at all. I rebedded it, and I done everything I could do, and tighten loose just five thousands of a vibration here will put it a half inch at a hundred yards. So you see, you... It's got some part tight, another loose; you've got to have it right. So I sent it back to the Winchester Company, and I got the letter at home now; they said, "Reverend Branham, there's not a thing wrong with that rifle." Said, "That rifle will group a inch at twenty-five yards and a model seventy-five will not group any better." Said, "It's not a target gun to begin with." Said, "It's only got one leg screw holding it together. Therefore you've got to get a vibration out of it." Now, that was the man who manufactured and made the gun, the Winchester Company, the proofs. The man who spent his life time and engineers, to make up the gun, they said, "It will not group any better than one inch at twenty-five yards." And I'd been driving tacks at fifty yards with it.

E-35 Or, un jour j’étais assis sous un arbre, et je pleurais tout simplement. Il y avait là-haut frère Wood et deux de mes amis, qui chassaient des écureuils. Je... Eux ne se souciaient pas de l’endroit où ils atteignaient l’écureuil; ils tiraient tout simplement. Et peu importe l’endroit où il était atteint, c’était en ordre pour eux. Quant à moi, je pensais que si je pouvais atteindre sa joue, ou un peu derrière les oreilles, ou quelque part, c’était raté. Il me fallait l’atteindre à l’oeil, sinon, c’était raté. Et je me suis dit: «Eh bien, ce que la société Winchester a dit ne change rien; je suis sûr que ça fera l’affaire, puisque je l’ai déjà vu faire cela.»
Et un matin, j’étais assis là sous un vieux petit arbre courbé, en train de pleurer; j’étais devenu tellement nerveux que je me suis mis à pleurer. J’ai dit: «Seigneur, me voici loin des réunions, ici dans les bois, cherchant à me détendre. | E-35 Now, I set down under a tree one day and just crying. There's Brother Wood and a couple friends of mine up there shooting squirrels. I... They didn't care where they hit him, just bang away. And anywhere hit him is all right. To me, I thought I might drop down on his cheek, hit him a little behind the ears or something, that wouldn't be right. It had to hit the eye; it wasn't right. And I thought, "Well now, it don't make any difference what the Winchester Company says; I know that it will do it because I've seen it do it."
And I was setting there one morning under a little old crooked over tree a crying, just got so nervous I got to crying. I said, "Lord, here I am away from the services, out here in the woods trying to relax. And little old nervous thing like me, why did You ever try to send me out in the meeting anyhow? I'm a failure to begin with, and why did You ever send a person like me? Look like You'd got a man that was a man, somebody that was steady and quiet." And I just kept setting there crying and talking to the Lord, both hands up and the tears pouring down my cheeks.

Suivez. Cela existe. En effet, je sais que c’est vrai. Ces apôtres avaient reçu le même Saint-Esprit; ils voyaient des visions, ils–ils ressuscitaient les morts; ils guérissaient les malades; ils accomplissaient de grands miracles, signes, et prodiges. Et si seulement nous pouvons arriver à bien ajuster la chose ... Vous ne pourrez pas dire: «Oh! ce jour-là... Cette église-là dit ceci. Et mon église était la plus ancienne, et ceci était cela.» Cela n’a pas de sens pour moi. Si–si eux ont fait enfoncer la punaise avec cela, cela l’enfoncera encore. Si eux avaient amené un réveil qui avait secoué le monde par la puissance et les promesses de Dieu, nous ferons la même chose, si nous acceptons la promesse et si nous nous attendons à ce que cela arrive. Mais vous devez croire la chose. Vous ne pouvez pas y croire à moitié.
Et vous savez quoi? Lorsque je me suis levé de dessous cet arbre, après qu’Il m’a parlé et que je suis sorti de là, je n’ai plus jamais tripoté ce fusil une seule fois. Et voici assis ici mon fils avec qui je le recharge. Depuis lors, ce fusil a toujours enfoncé ces punaises à 50 mètres. C’est juste. Je n’ai plus jamais tripoté cela... Vous voyez, Il essayait de me faire quelque chose pour me montrer comment je devrais me comporter. C’est dans des moments difficiles et tout le reste que les gens disent: «Oh! Frère Branham...

Listen. There is. Because I know it's so. Those apostles taken that same Holy Spirit; they saw visions; they--they raised the dead; they healed the sick; they done great miracles and signs and wonders. And if we'll just get it zeroed in. You can't say, "Oh, that day... That church says this way. And my church was the oldest, and this was that." That don't make sense to me. If--if they made it drive the tack, it'll drive it again. If they'd brought forth a world shaking revival with the power and the promises of God, we'll do the same thing if we'll accept the promise and expect it to happen. But you've got to believe it. You just can't halfway believe it.
And you know what? When I got up from under that tree after He's talked to me and walked out there and never touched that rifle one time. And here sets the boy that we reload together. That rifle has constantly drove them tacks at fifty yards ever since. That's right. Never touched it... See, He was trying to do something to me to show me how to behave myself. In tight times and things that they say, "Oh, Brother Branham...

E-37 Un type me disait il n’y a pas longtemps, il a dit: «Si vous venez adhérer à notre organisation, nous allons faire telle et telle chose, si vous voulez tout simplement faire des compromis sur quelques...»
J’ai dit: «Des compromis? Des compromis?» J’ai dit: «Je suis étonné qu’un homme de Dieu comme vous, avec un diplôme de doctorat, demande à un serviteur de Dieu de faire des compromis sur la Parole de Dieu.» J’ai dit: «Je n’ai pas cela dans le sang.» Pas du tout. Je vais rester carrément accroché à cela. Je crois dans le Saint-Esprit et dans la puissance du Saint-Esprit. Je crois que Jésus-Christ est le même hier, aujourd’hui et éternellement. Et je suis dans cette expectative qu’Il suscitera une Eglise qui ira à Sa rencontre avec la même puissance qu’elle avait au commencement. Certainement, si nous nous y attendons, si nous avons foi en Dieu et nous croyons qu’Il va le faire. L’expectative.

I said, "Compromise? Compromise?" I said, "I'm surprised at a man of God, like you are with a doctors degree, would ask a servant of God to compromise on the Word of God." I said, "That don't dwell in my blood." No, sir. I'll stay right zeroed on It. I believe in the Holy Ghost and the power of the Holy Ghost. I believe that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. And I'm under expectations that He will rise up a church to go meet Him with the same power it had in the beginning. Certainly, if we'll expect it, have faith in God and believe He's going to do it. Expectation.

E-38 Malgré toute sa théologie, Moïse n’était jamais arrivé quelque part. Il se trouvait là-bas, un poltron, fuyant derrière les montagnes, dans le désert, en faisant paître les troupeaux de son beau-père. Mais un jour, il est descendu étant dans l’expectative, convaincu que Dieu tient Sa Parole. Amen. Il s’attendait à cela. «Comment vas-tu le faire, Moïse?»
«Je l’ignore, mais je–je suis certain que Lui va le faire. Dieu l’a dit, c’est cela; c’est tout.»
«Tu vas emmener deux millions et demi de gens là dans ce désert et les nourrir? Comment vas-tu les nourrir?»
«Je ne sais pas. Je m’attends à ce que Dieu accomplisse quelque chose à ce sujet.» Il l’a fait. C’est tout. Il s’attendait à quelque chose.
| E-38 Moses, with all of his theology he never got anywhere. He was out there, a coward running behind the mountains, in the desert herding his father-in-law's sheep. But one day he met God, and then he got an experience with God, and he was going down to Egypt to take over Egypt. Now, it might look pretty foolish for an old man with eighty years old and the whiskers hanging way down like this, and probably his bald head shining red in the sun, and the beards all over him, and had crooked stick in his hand, and his wife setting on a mule, and a little...?... kid setting on her hip, going down. Said, "Where you going Moses?"
"I'm going down to Egypt to take over, going to take the nation." You know, when you take God at His promise it makes you act silly to the things of the world. Now, a one man invasion, going down to take a nation as great as Russia is today. Sure, going down... And the thing, he--he took it over, he did it. He killed one man down there and got in trouble. Went back down and killed a whole nation, he was glorified by it. (See?) That's it. He was a murderer for killing one, and--and then a saint for taking the whole bunch. But one time he went down with expectations to know that God stood by His Word. Amen. He was expecting it. "How you going to do it, Moses?"
"I don't know, but I--I know He's going to do it. God said so, that's got it; that's all."
"You going to bring two and a half million people out here in this desert and feed them? How you going to feed them?"
"I don't know. I expect God do something about it." He did. That's all. He was expecting something.

E-39 L’ennui est que nous allons à l’église, nous chantons des cantiques et le pasteur nous parle des roses et des fleurs, puis nous retournons chez nous. Oh! la la! Voilà pourquoi nous n’arrivons nulle part. Voilà le problème de nos Eglises pentecôtistes. C’est... Eh bien, je–je ne viens jamais ici pour vous tapoter dans le dos; je viens ici vous dire la vérité. Vous voyez? Oh! l’Eglise pentecôtiste s’est lancée dans la construction des bâtiments; elle s’est lancée dans la formation des dénominations; et elle est allée partout, elle s’est disloquée, elle s’est déchirée, elle a connu les sorties, les séparations et la ségrégation. Et, oh! elle va avoir... Celle-ci veut être la plus grande église, et celle-là veut être la plus grande. Aussi longtemps que vous faites cela, elle n’arrivera nulle part. Rappelez-vous, je vous le dis dans le Nom du Seigneur.
Mais lorsque vous vous unirez, oh! la la! c’est ça, lorsque vous obéirez pleinement à Dieu: «A ceci tous connaîtront que vous êtes Mes disciples, si vous avez de l’amour les uns pour les autres.» Lorsque vous faites sortir une portion de théologie pour faire entrer là un peu d’amour, cela produira des oeuvres, des prodiges, et–et des miracles. Mais c’est ce que nous devons avoir. Pour qui? Pour tout le monde. «Oh! pour ce vieux groupe des Assemblées de Dieu, ou ce vieux groupe de l’Eglise de Dieu, ces vieux unitaires, ou ces trinitaires, ou ces quinquétaires, ou qui qu’ils soient? Moi les aimer? Je ne peux pas les aimer; ils sont antéchrist.» Vous êtes vous-même perdu, frère, lorsque vous pensez comme cela. C’est juste. Vous n’êtes pas en ordre avec Dieu. Si vous ne pouvez pas tendre une main à votre pire ennemi pour essayer de le gagner à Christ, alors l’Esprit de Christ n’est pas en vous. Car «Il est venu chez les Siens, et les Siens ne L’ont point reçu.» Cependant Il avait donné Sa Vie pour Ses ennemis. C’est ce qu’Il a fait. Comme c’est vrai.
| E-39 The trouble of it, we go to church and sing the hymn and the pastor talks about the roses and the flowers, and we go back home. Oh, my. That's the reason we don't get nowhere. That's what's the matter with our Pentecostal churches. That's... Now, I--I never come here to pat you on the back; I come here to tell you the truth. See? Oh, the Pentecostal church has went on a building rampage; it's went on a denominational rampage; it's gone everywhere, and cut and divided, and pulled out, and separated, and segregated. And oh, it's going to have... This is going to be biggest, and that's going to be the biggest. As long as you do that, she'll never going nowhere. Remember, I tell you in the Name of the Lord.
But when you'll come together, oh, my, that's it, when you'll fully obey God. "This will all men know you're My disciples, when you have love one for the other." When you get part of the theology out and get a little love in there, it'll do works, and wonders, and--and miracles. But we got to have that. For who? For everybody. "Oh, for that old bunch of Assemblies of God, or that old bunch of Church of God, or old Oneness, or Threeness, or Fiveness, or whatever they are? Me love them? I couldn't love them; they're antichrist." You're lost yourself, brother, when you think that. That's right. You're not right with God. If you can't raise out a hand to the bitterest enemy you got and try to win him to Christ, then the Spirit of Christ isn't in you. "For he come to his own, and his own received him not." Yet He gave His life for His enemy. He did. How true it is.

E-40 Et cet Esprit de Dieu en vous vous amène à avoir le même sentiment à l’égard de tout le monde. Lorsque vous en arrivez au point... Eh bien, vous ne pouvez pas juste simuler cela. Le diable sait si vous simulez cela ou pas. Je peux voir là cet enfant épileptique, un jour, et dix jours avant cela Jésus leur avait donné le pouvoir de chasser les démons, et–et de ressusciter les morts, de guérir les malades et d’accomplir toutes sortes de miracles. Ils réussissaient très bien. Ils sont revenus, et ont dit: «Même les démons nous sont soumis.» Ils passaient de bons moments. Quelques jours après cela, ils étaient là tous dépassés. Ils avaient rencontré là un homme; ce dernier savait que ce n’était pas...faire... il ne voulait pas adhérer à leur association, alors, ils lui ont même interdit de chasser les démons. Vous voyez, l’amertume s’était introduite. Vous voyez? «Oh! nous lui avons interdit de le faire; il ne voulait pas se joindre à notre assemblée. Alors, nous lui avons dit de ne plus le faire.»
Jésus a dit: «Ne faites pas cela. Car, il n’est personne qui, faisant un miracle en Mon Nom, puisse aussitôt après parler en mal de Moi. Et il n’est pas contre Moi; celui qui est pour Moi, n’est pas contre Moi.»
| E-40 And that Spirit of God in you makes you feel the same way about everybody. When you get to a place... Now, you just can't act it. The devil knows whether you're acting or not. I can see that epileptic child out there one day, and Jesus ten days before that give them power to cast out devils, and--and raise the dead, and heal the sick, and do all kinds of miracles. They was getting on pretty good. Come back and said, "Even the devils is subject unto us." Having a big time. A few days after that, here they was all stumped. They met a man down there, he knowed it wasn't--doing--he wouldn't come join their society, so they forbid him to even cast out devils. See the bitterness coming in. See? "Oh, we forbid him not, he wouldn't join our assembly. So we told him not to do it."
Jesus said, "Don't you do that. No man can do a miracle in My Name, can speak lightly of Me. And them's not against Me; them that's for Me is not against Me."

E-41 Alors, nous voyons donc, qu’avec ce genre d’attitude, ils ont eu là le cas d’un enfant épileptique, et ils ont tout simplement crié sur lui, ils ont prié et tapé du pied; et–et je peux m’imaginer que l’un d’eux s’est avancé et a dit: «Voici de quelle manière je l’ai fait là-bas. Vous, frères, reculez; vous tous, vous ne savez pas comment procéder. Voici comment le faire.» Un prétentieux, vous savez. «Alléluia, gloire à Dieu.» Il a secoué l’enfant, il a déversé un peu d’huile sur lui, il l’a de nouveau secoué. «Voilà comment j’ai procédé.» Oui, oui. Cela... mais cette fois-là ça n’a pas marché. C’est là le problème qu’on a aujourd’hui. C’est ce que... Ça ne marche pas tellement bien. Vous voyez?
Mais au bout de quelque temps, Quelqu’un s’est avancé calmement. Oh! le père a couru vers Lui et a dit: «Seigneur, aie pitié de mon enfant. Un démon le tourmente de diverses manières.» Et lorsque Jésus a chassé de lui le démon, alors les disciples se sont avancés et ont dit: «Pourquoi n’avons-nous pas pu faire cela? Qu’est-ce qui n’allait pas?»
Il n’a jamais dit: «J’ai retiré Ma puissance.» Il a dit: «C’est à cause de votre incrédulité, pour utiliser la puissance que je vous ai donnée.» Voilà le problème de l’église aujourd’hui. Elle est dégonflée. Elle a... Elle ne s’attend à rien. Elle est simplement assise là, molle et morte. Ce qu’il nous faut, c’est être dans l’expectative.
| E-41 So we find out then, on that kind of an attitude, they had a epileptic boy down there, just a crying over him and praying and stomping, and--and I could imagine one of them coming up and saying, "Here's the way I done it over there. You brothers step back; you all don't know how to do it. Here's the way you do it." Shirt stuffed out, you know. "Hallelujah, glory to God." Shake him, pour a little oil on him, shake him again. "That's the way I done it." Uh-huh. That--but it didn't work that time. That's what's the matter today. That what's... It isn't working so good. See?
But after while, someone come walking down, quietly. Oh, the father run to Him and said, "Lord, have mercy on my child. He's variously vexed with a devil." And when Jesus cast the evil spirit out of him, then the disciples come and said, "Why couldn't we do it? What was the matter with us?"
He never said, "I took My power back." He said, "Because of your unbelief, to work the power that I gave you to work with." That's what's the matter with the church today. It's let down; it's got... It isn't expecting nothing. It's just setting there, groupy and dead. What we need is to have expectations.

Et lorsque vous pensez que vous valez mieux que quelqu’un d’autre, alors, vous n’êtes pas du tout ce que vous devriez être, disent les Ecritures. Vous voyez? Lorsque vous en arrivez au point... Vous devez... Comment pouvez-vous avoir la foi lorsque vous vous attendez à recevoir des honneurs les uns des autres? Vous voyez? Vous devez toujours user de prévenances réciproques. La Vie de Christ, c’est d’user de prévenances envers votre frère ou votre soeur. Et s’ils sont dans l’erreur, ce n’est pas grave. Vous n’en ferez jamais de meilleures personnes en leur donnant des coups. Entourez-le de votre bras et relevez-le. J’aime cet ancien Evangile. Je vais vous dire ce que cela produira, cela–cela amènera un homme en smoking à s’asseoir à côté d’un homme en salopette, et cela les amènera à s’entourer des bras l’un l’autre et à s’appeler frères. C’est juste. Cela amènera une femme en robe de calicot et une autre en robe de soie à s’appeler soeurs. C’est ce que cela fera assurément: c’est un Evangile droit, au ciel bleu. Et c’est ce que cela–cela fera certainement.
| E-42 Simeon, this great old saint of God, he was a man of great reputation. Oh, today they happen to say, "But wait a minute, sir, I'm a businessman. I'm a doctor. I'm--I'm a professor." You're no better than anybody else. And whenever you think you're better than somebody else, then you're nothing that you ought to be, the Scripture says. See? When you get to a place... You got to... How can you have faith when you're expecting honor one from another? See? You must prefer one another always. That's the life of Christ, to prefer your brother, sister. And if they are wrong, that's all right. You'll never make them any better by kicking them around. Put an arm around and pick him up. I like this old time religion. I'll tell you what it'll do, it'll--it'll make a tuxedo suit set by a pair of overalls, and put their arm around one another, and call each other brother. That's right. It'll make a calico dress and a silk one call one another sister. It sure will: gun barrel straight and sky blue. And it--it'll certainly do it.

E-43 Eh bien, Siméon était cependant un homme de bonne réputation. Il était un vieux sage d’environ quatre-vingts ans. Il a–il a une petite, une sorte de petite illusion, alors–un petit quelque chose qui cloche, vous savez.»
Mais Siméon croyait toujours à cela; il ne se souciait pas de sa réputation. Il en a parlé à tout le monde. Il s’attendait à Le voir. Il disait qu’il ne verrait pas la mort avant de voir le Christ du Seigneur.»
Je peux entendre certains grands rabbins, vous savez, se tenir là devant les jeunes, vous savez, ils connaissaient toute la... ils avaient des doctorats en philosophie, des doctorats en droit et tous les autres doctorats, et ainsi de suite, et avec tout ce qu’ils avaient comme instruction, vous savez. Et–et ils disaient: «Eh bien, le pauvre vieux, il a été un bon vieux sacrificateur en son temps, mais, oh! laissez-le simplement tranquille; il a un peu perdu la tête.»
Mais lui allait partout annoncer cela, il ne se souciait pas de sa réputation en tant que sage. C’est ce dont il parlait, il–il avait le Saint-Esprit. Il a dit: «Le Saint-Esprit me l’a révélé.» Vous voyez, il s’attendait à voir cela. Il a dit: «Oui, j’ai tout apprêté. Lorsque je Le verrai, je saurai exactement ce que je ferai. Absolument. J’ai tout apprêté parce que je m’attends à Le voir.» Pourquoi? Le Saint-Esprit l’a dit.
| E-43 Now, but Simeon was a man of great reputation. He was an old sage, about eighty years old. Now, he was going around telling everybody, "I'm not going to die till I see the Lord's Christ." Now, the Bible said... What made Simeon do that? Because the Holy Ghost was upon him. That's the difference. The Holy Ghost was upon him. Now, I imagine the great denomination that he belonged to said, "Oh, the poor old fellow, he's got one foot in the grave and the other one sliding fast. Just let him alone; it won't be long till it'll be over. He's going to die pretty soon. So just let him enjoy himself going ahead. He's--he's got a little some kind of little a illusion, so--a little something wrong, you know."
But Simeon still believed it; he didn't care about his reputation. He let everybody know. He was expecting to see Him. He said, "He's not going to see death until I see the Lord's Christ."
I can hear some of the great rabbis, you know, stand up to the young fellows, you know, that knowed all the--had the Ph.D. and LL.D.'s and all the other D's, and so forth, and all bottleized in them, you know. And--and they say, "Well, the poor old fellow, he's been a good old priest in his days, but, oh, just let him alone; he's a little off at his head."
But he was going around telling it, he wasn't care about his reputation as a sage. What he was talking about, he--he had the Holy Ghost on him. He said, "The Holy Ghost revealed to me." See, he was expecting to see it. Said, "Yeah, I got everything ready. When I see Him I know just what I'm going to do. Yes, sir. Got everything ready because I'm expecting to see Him." Why? The Holy Ghost said so.

Pas dans ce–ce type de voyage, vous videz votre valise de tout. Nous avons donc mis trop de choses dans la valise. Le problème est que nous devons faire le déchargement. Alors pour ce voyage, déchargez-vous. Vous devez vous tenir au beau milieu du chemin.
| E-44 Now, there's no two Holy Ghost's; there only one Holy Ghost (That's right.), only one Holy Ghost. And that same Holy Ghost that led Simeon to believe that he would not die until he seen the Lord's Christ, that same Holy Spirit's telling me, "Something's going to happen." Amen. I just believe it. And it's telling you the same thing. Let's be expecting it. Let's get ready for it, make ready. Like taking a trip, get everything packed up. No, this--this kind of a trip, you unpack everything. Got too much packed up now. The trouble of it, we have to unload. So this trip you unload. You have to get right in the middle of the road.

E-45 L’un des précieux frères, frère... j’allais dire Deweece, je crois; non, non, c’est Oral Roberts. Oh! c’est le responsable des Assemblées de Dieu de l’Indiana. Son nom m’échappe maintenant. De toute façon... Frère Weed, Roy Weed, je crois que vous le connaissez tous, frère Weed. Un jour, mon cousin, frère Vivert qui a une des plus grandes Eglises des assemblées pentecôtistes de Dieu à l’est à Evansville, dans l’Indiana. Tout un pâté de maisons, c’était simplement l’espace que couvrait la réunion. Alors, ils avaient un... je crois qu’on appelait cela la Salle Cinq Cents. De l’autre côté de la rue se trouvait un garage, alors frère Vivert l’a simplement acheté (et son frère dirigeait une compétition à Indianapolis), et il pouvait avoir des milliers de gens à l’école du dimanche. Il avait donc là une école pour hommes où il enseignait un dimanche matin, une classe de cinq cents personnes. J’étais donc censé prêcher ce matin-là dans la classe des hommes. J’étais assis derrière frère Roy, et frère Roy a dit: «Vous savez, j’ai entendu un homme dire (et il s’agissait de moi) que le–le milieu de la route, c’est l’endroit qu’il faut.» Il a dit: «Le milieu de la route...» Je crois cela. Dieu dit dans Esaïe 35: «Il y aura une grande route.» Beaucoup d’entre vous les chers frères nazaréens, vous avez coutume de chanter La Grande Route de la sainteté. Non, il y aura une grande route et (‘et’, c’est une conjonction; il relie votre phrase.)–et une route, et elle sera appelée «le chemin de la sainteté», non pas la grande route de la sainteté, mais plutôt le chemin de la sainteté. Lorsqu’une route est correctement construite, l’eau dégage la crasse d’un côté et de l’autre de la route. Ainsi donc, vous devriez être soit très froid et guindé, soit fanatique de... Mais le chemin se trouve juste au milieu de la route, et cela conduit tout droit vers le calvaire, juste sur ce chemin-là.
| E-45 One of the dear brothers, Brother--I was going to say Deweece, I believe--no, not--that's Oral Roberts. Oh, he's the state superintendent of the Assemblies of God at Indiana. I forget what his name is now. Anyhow... Brother Weed, Roy Weed, I guess you all know him. Brother Weed... one day, my cousin, Brother Vivert, has one of the biggest Pentecostal Assembly of God churches in the east in Evansville, Indiana. The whole city block is just took into church meeting. So they had a, I believe it was called the Five Hundred Room. Across the street there's a garage, so Brother Vivert just bought it out and his brother running competition in Indianapolis, who can have how many thousand in Sunday school. So he had a man school over there that he just taught in on Sunday morning, five hundred in the class.
So I was supposed to speak that morning at the men's class. I was setting behind Brother Roy, and Brother Roy said, "You know, I heard a man say," and that was me, "that the--the middle of road is the place." Said, "The middle of the road..." I believe that.
God said in Isaiah 35, "There shall be a highway." Many of you dear Nazarenes used to sing, "A highway of holiness." No, "There shall be a highway and ('And' is a conjunction; it ties your sentence together.)--and a way, and it shall be called the way of holiness," not the highway of holiness, the way. Correct road's built so the water washes trash to one side or the other. So you'd either be real cold and starchy or a fanatic on the... But the way's right in the middle of the road, right towards Calvary, right up the road.

E-46 Alors, frère Weed s’est levé et a dit: «Un homme... Cela est contraire au code de la route, a-t-il dit. Si un homme conduit au milieu de la route, il se fera tuer. Oh! la la! cela ne–ne fait pas d’eux des gens meilleurs par rapport à frère Weed. Mais c’était vraiment malin, vous savez; il a dit: «Eh bien, si vous conduisez au milieu de la route, vous allez vous faire cogner.» J’ai dit: «Frère Weed, nous n’allons pas nous faire cogner. Nous allons droit dans un seul sens. Seulement dans ce sens-là. Nous ne roulons pas du tout dans l’autre sens.» C’est un ticket aller, je suis content d’avoir donc cela, pas vous? Un ticket aller... Ce que le Saint-Esprit révèle au travers de Sa Parole, je crois que c’est la Vérité; nous nous tenons simplement à cela.
| E-46 So Brother Weed set up and said, "A man... That isn't good driving ethics." He said, "If a man drove in the middle of the road, he'd get killed." Said, "That's not good driving ethics." He didn't know I was setting behind him. I touched him on the shoulder; I said, "That's it, brother; you're just so earthbound, you're..." I said, "This road you don't come back. It's just one way traffic going that way." And so... He is--he's a sweet brother, just as fine as could ever be thought. Oh, my, they don't--don't make them better than Roy Weed. But it was just so cute, you know, he said, "Now, you drive in the middle of the road you get hit."
I said, "Brother Weed, we won't get hit; we're going one straight way. Just that way. We're not coming back at all." A one way ticket, I'm glad I've got it then, aren't you? A one way ticket... What the Holy Ghost reveals through His Word, I believe that is truth; we stay right with it.

Et toutes ces autres choses que nous soutenons dans l’Eglise pentecôtiste parce que les baptistes ont fait cela, parce que les presbytériens font cela. Et les gens pensent que je suis un fanatique démodé. Voir nos femmes pentecôtistes porter des robes dans lesquelles elles ont l’air d’être moulées. Une femme me parlait l’autre jour, elle a dit: «Mais Frère Branham, a-t-elle dit, eh bien, ils ne confectionnent rien d’autre en dehors de cela.» Mais, on a des machines à coudre et des tissus; il n’y a donc pas d’excuse. Jésus a dit: «Si vous...» Jésus a dit: «Si vous faites cela, au jour du Jugement vous serez coupable d’avoir commis adultère. La Bible dit: «Quiconque regarde une femme pour la convoiter a déjà commis un adultère avec elle dans son coeur.» Et lorsque vous vous habillez comme cela, et qu’un pécheur vous regarde, il répondra au jour du Jugement, et vous répondrez pour vous être présentée comme cela à lui. Vous serez donc coupable d’avoir commis un adultère, que vous ayez fait l’acte ou pas, parce que Jésus a dit: «Quiconque regarde», et c’est vous qui vous êtes présentée comme cela. En fait, c’est ce qu’un pécheur fera. Oh! Eglise pentecôtiste, revenez à Dieu, revenez.
| E-47 So Simeon was a man of great reputation amongst the people. But he wasn't ashamed. Some of us claim to have the Holy Spirit; we get a revelation from God that we should stop doing the things we're doing. "But yet if I do, I--I run around with the Joneses over here, and what'll they think about me?"
Some of you women, bobbed off your hair, you know, because Susie did it. "Well, if I'd happen to let my hair grow they'd call me old fashion." Uh-huh. But the Holy Ghost tells you you should do it. The Bible said so. Now, if anything says different from that, don't you believe it; it's a lie; because God said it was so. See?
And all this other stuff that we've propped into the Pentecostal church because the Baptists did it, because the Presbyterian do it. And they'll think I'm an old fashion fanatic. Seeing our Pentecostal women dress in dresses that looks like they're skin tight. A woman said to me the other day, said, "But Brother Branham," said, "well, they don't make anything different from that." But they got sewing machines and goods, so there's no excuse. Jesus said, "If you..." Jesus said, "If you do that, you'll be guilty at the day of the judgment for committing adultery." The Bible said, "Whosoever looketh upon a woman to lust after her, has committed adultery with her already in his heart." And you dress like that and a sinner looks at you, he's going to answer at the day of judgment, and you're going to answer for presenting yourself that way to him. So you're going to be guilty of committing adultery whether you went through the act or not, because said, "Whosoever looketh," and you present yourself. A sinner will actually do that. Oh, Pentecostal church, come back to God. Come back.

E-48 Oh! qu’est-ce qui s’est passé depuis la rue Azusa, jusqu’aujourd’hui? Sur la rue Azusa, c’était une honte d’avoir un recueil de cantiques dans le–dans l’église, au début de la Pentecôte. Juste parce que vous étiez pentecôtiste, vos enfants sont venus et ont été inscrits depuis le berceau, ils ont grandi et ils prétendent être des pentecôtistes, mais ils ne connaissent rien de l’expérience qui amène les femmes à se sanctifier, les hommes à se sanctifier, et les églises à se sanctifier. Je ferais mieux de me taire aussi, sinon... Mais c’est la vérité. Nous devons de nouveau revenir à cette expérience-là. Très bien. Je m’attends à ce qu’Il accomplisse quelque chose avant qu’Il vienne. Et je–je crois que je verrai cela. Très bien.
| E-48 Oh, what happened from Azusa street to this time? Azusa street it was a shame to have a song book in the--in the church when Pentecost first started. They sang in the Spirit. Everything was in the Spirit. Now, it's like David duPlessis said, "We got too many Pentecostal grandchildren." God don't have any grandsons at all. You've had sons and daughters. You've brought your children into the church. Just because you were Pentecost, the kids come in and took the cradle roll and come on up and claim Pentecost, and don't know nothing about the experience that made women clean up, and men clean up, and churches clean up. I better shut up too, or... But it's the truth. We got to get back to that experience again. All right. I'm expecting Him to do something before He comes. And I--I believe I'll see it. All right.

Vous a-t-Il révélé, vous qui êtes là-bas sur ce lit de camp ce soir, frère, qu’Il–ou vous qui êtes là-bas sur ces fauteuils roulants, qu’Il va vous rétablir? S’Il vous l’a révélé, vous allez recevoir cela. C’est tout. Vous a-t-Il révélé, vous pécheur, que vous allez recevoir le Saint-Esprit? Vous allez obtenir cela s’Il le révèle. Vous qui souffrez du coeur, d’un cancer, d’une tumeur, et que sais-je encore, vous a-t-Il révélé que vous allez être guéri? Vous allez recevoir cela. Suivez simplement sa conduite.
| E-49 But it was revealed to him; that's the reason he could stand on the Word. He said, "The Holy Spirit revealed to me that I'm not going to die. I know I'm an old man, but I'm not going to die before I see the Lord's Christ." What David looked for it, and Moses looked for it. And ever since the garden of Eden, four thousand years, they looked for it. But he said, "I'm going to see it. (Amen.) I'm going see it."
"How do you know you're going to see it?"
"I got a good reason; the Holy Spirit revealed it to me." Oh, my.
Does He reveal to you out there on the cot tonight, brother, He--or out there on them chairs, going to make you well? If He does, you're going to get it. That's all. Does He reveal to you, sinner, that you're going to receive the Holy Ghost? You're going to get it if He reveals it. You just got heart trouble, cancer, tumor, whatever it is, revealed to you that you're going to be healed? You're going to get it. Just follow the leading.

E-50 «Les fils de Dieu sont conduits par l’Esprit de Dieu», ils ne sont pas conduits par je ne sais quel fanatique ou par des organisations ou quelque chose d’autre, ils sont conduits par l’Esprit de Dieu. Le Saint-Esprit a été donné à l’Eglise pour être le Surveillant, le Tuteur qui a pour mission d’élever les enfants de Dieu, non pas nos évêques, nos cardinaux, et les autres, mais le Saint-Esprit. Je m’attends au Saint-Esprit, non pas à une dénomination, ni à un évêque, ni à un prêtre catholique, ni à un prédicateur baptiste, ni à un prédicateur pentecôtiste; je m’attends à ce que le Saint-Esprit descende et mette en ordre l’Eglise qui ira Le rencontrer, remplie de la puissance de la résurrection de Christ. Je m’attends à cela; je le crois. Dieu l’a promis, il y aura là une église sans tache ni ride. Je m’attends à cela, parce que Dieu a dit qu’il en sera ainsi.
Quelqu’un m’a dit: «Frère Branham, ne craignez-vous pas de commettre une erreur là sur l’estrade un soir pendant ce discernement?» Non, monsieur. Il m’a dit qu’Il me soutiendrait; je m’attends à ce qu’Il le fasse. C’est tout à fait juste. «Ne craignez-vous pas que certaines de ces prophéties soient fausses?» Si je craignais, j’arrêterais de les donner. Si je ne craignais pas... J’ai confiance en Celui qui me parle, et je m’attends à ce qu’il en soit ainsi. Il a dit qu’Il le ferait, et je suis... Jusqu’ici cela n’a jamais failli, et cela ne faillira jamais, parce que je m’attends à ce qu’Il tienne Sa Parole révélée par le Saint-Esprit. «Les fils de Dieu sont conduits par l’Esprit de Dieu.»
| E-50 "Sons of God are led by the Spirit of God," not led by some other fanatics or some organizations or something or another, they're led by the Spirit of God. The Holy Spirit was given to the church to be the Overseer, the Tutor that was to raise the children of God, not our bishops, and cardinals, and so forth, but the Holy Ghost. I'm expecting the Holy Ghost, not denomination, not a bishop, not a Catholic priest, not a Baptist preacher, or a Pentecostal preacher; I'm expecting the Holy Ghost to come down and set in order a church that'll go to meet Him, filled with the power and the resurrection of Christ. I'm expecting that; I believe it. God promised it, that there'd be a church there without spot or wrinkle on it. I'm expecting it because God said it was so.
Someone said to me, "Brother Branham, aren't you afraid you'd make a mistake some night up there on that discernment?" No, sir. He told me He'd stand by me; I'm expecting Him to do it. That's exactly right. "Aren't you afraid some of them prophecies would be wrong?" If I was afraid, I'd quit saying it. If I wasn't--had confidence in the One was speaking to me, but I'm expecting it to be that way. He said He'd do it, and I'm--it's never failed yet, and it never will, because I'm expecting Him to keep His Word, revealed by the Holy Spirit. "Sons of God led by the Spirit of God."

Je m’attends à ce que cela arrive, parce que je me sens conduit à le faire. Je me sens conduit à dire ce que je dis. Je me sens conduit à faire les choses que je fais, autrement, je ne le ferais pas. Il me faut être conduit pour cela. Et alors, je m’attends à ce que quelque chose se produise.

Now, are you going to be expecting a great healing service tomorrow night, going to be expecting the Lord to pour out His blessings tomorrow night? Sure. Let's be expecting it; be under expectation. Oh, I expect the church to be on fire, the glory of the Lord falling everywhere, and sinners around the altar, and people getting saved and filled with the Holy Ghost, and just a great thing. My anticipations and expectations is built way up high. I felt led to come out to California, and He's going to do something for somebody; that's the one thing sure. I'm expecting it to happen, because I feel led to do it. I feel led to say what I say. I feel led to do the things I'm doing or I wouldn't do it. I want to be led of it. And then I'm expecting something to happen.

"Oh, who was the prophet speaking of? That's that Messiah that's going to come. That's the One that the Holy Spirit revealed to me I'd see."

E-53 Or, il n’y avait pas de télévision en ce temps-là, Dieu merci! Donc, ils n’avaient pas le–toutes sortes de propagandes, d’informations, de journaux, de reportages. Jésus était déjà né. Alors, huit jours après... Je pense qu’avec une population de deux millions et demi, il y avait des centaines de mères ce matin là pour la circoncision de leurs enfants mâles. Eh bien, les mamans seules, vous savez combien elles aiment leurs petits. Elles les tapotent au menton, ils n’ont pas encore de dents. J’aime voir un petit bébé qui n’a pas de dents, vous savez, juste ses petites gencives brillantes. Et je peux m’imaginer les mères se tenant là avec leurs petits bébés enveloppés dans de jolies petites couvertures tricotées, les tapotant sur les joues comme cela. Et une petite vierge s’est approchée, tenant un bébé enveloppé de langes. Et j’ai appris, selon l’histoire, que les langes de notre Seigneur provenaient du derrière de l’attelage d’un boeuf, qui pendait dans l’étable. On labourait avec cet attelage, avec ce... et ils avaient enlevés cela pour y envelopper le bébé.
Je m’imagine en train de voir ces filles de la haute classe, certaines des meilleures filles d’Hollywood, s’avancer là, vous savez, se tenant debout dans l’église, leurs noms figuraient dans le registre (Oh! la la! c’étaient des membres connus.), avec leurs petits bébés tout parfumés, vous savez, avec des langes tricotées et de petits chaussons et tout apprêtés, vous savez, elles s’avancent... Et le sacrificateur allait s’assurer qu’elles mettraient de belles sommes sur le plateau d’offrandes, et vous savez: «Oui, Madame Untel, votre mari c’est docteur Untel», comme cela, vous savez. Elles recevaient cet honneur (oh! la la!) elles en étaient toutes fières.
| E-53 Now, they didn't have televisions, thank God, in that day. So the--all kinds of propaganda, and news, and newspapers, and reports, they didn't have it. Jesus was already born. So eight days later... I guess in two and a half million people, there'd be hundreds of mothers there on the morning for their male children to be circumcised.
Well, how mommies alone, you know how they love their little ones. They beat them on their chin, no teeth. I just like to see a little baby with no teeth, you know, just little old gums a shining. And I can imagine the mothers standing along with their little babies with nice little needlework blankets and gooing them on the cheeks like that. And a little virgin come walking up with a baby wrapped in swaddling cloth. And I'm told, according to history, that the swaddling cloth for our Lord was took off of the back of a yoke of an ox, that was hanging in the stall. Been plowing with this yoke, with this--and they unwrapped this and wrapped the baby up in it.
I can imagine seeing them society girls, some of Hollywood's best, walking along there, you know, standing in the church, names on the book (Oh, my, they're popular members.), with their little babies all perfumed, and you know, and the needlework and the little booties and everything ready, you know, just walking up... And how the priest was going to know they were great payers on the plate and you know, "Yes, Madam so and so, your husband is Doctor so and so," like that, you know. How they'd receive that honor (Oh, my), all swelled out about it.

E-54 Et cette petite fille est entrée avec un Bébé enveloppé de la couverture provenant du derrière de l’attelage de boeuf. Et j’entends quelqu’un dire: «Chut, vous avez entendu cette nouvelle qui circule, n’est-ce pas? Vous n’avez pas entendu cette nouvelle qui circule? Cette fille a eu ce Bébé de Joseph avant qu’ils soient mariés. Oh! c’est terrible. Oh! c’est... Vous–vous... C’est horrible! Voyez-vous? Oh! ce–c’est une disgrâce. Et elle dit que ce Bébé est venu par une naissance virginale.»
Elle n’a prêté aucune attention à cela; elle était sûre du petit Trésor qu’elle tenait dans ses bras. Elle savait dans son coeur à qui appartenait ce Bébé. Elle savait que c’était le Fils de Dieu. Peu importe combien on se moquait d’elle et qu’on disait: «Ne–ne vous associez pas avec elle. Si les gens vous voient en sa compagnie, alors, ils vous classeront dans sa catégorie.» C’est ce qui se passe aujourd’hui. Je crains que ce soit le problème de nos Eglises pentecôtistes. Vous ne voulez plus être l’un d’entre eux. Vous ne voulez pas de cette expérience à l’ancienne mode du baptême du... [Espace vide sur la bande–N.D.E.] ... mode aussi. C’est tout à fait juste.

She didn't pay any attention; she knowed her little Treasure in her arm. She knew in her heart Who that Baby belonged to. She knowed that was God's Son. No matter how many laughed and said, "Don't--don't get with her. The people see you associating with her then they'll class you one of them."
That's the way it is today. I'm afraid that's what's getting the matter with our Pentecostal churches. You don't want to be one of them any more. You don't want that old fashion experience of the baptism of... [Blank.spot.on.tape--Ed.]... fashion too. That's exactly right.

N’êtes-vous pas heureux ce soir de dire: «Je suis l’un d’entre eux.»
Nous avions coutume de chanter un petit cantique pentecôtiste.

When he was standing talking to Festus that day, or Felix, I believe it was, he said...
He said, "Thou almost persuadest me to be a Christian."
And Paul told him, said, "In the way that's called heresy (That's crazy, lunatic.) that's the way I worship the God of our Fathers." I'm glad to join hands with him tonight, aren't you, Pentecostal people? Aren't you glad tonight to say, "I'm one of them."
Used to be a little Pentecostal song we'd sing.
They were gathered in the upper room,
All praying in His name,
Baptized with the Holy Ghost,
And power for service came;
What He did for them that day
He will do for you the same,
I'm so glad that I can say
I'm one of them.
Aren't you glad of that? Oh, so glad that I'm one of them.

E-56 Elle s’est avancée avec ce Bébé. Et toutes les autres disaient: «Ne vous approchez donc pas d’elle maintenant; eh bien, c’est une sainte exaltée.» Ou quelque chose comme cela, vous savez. Regardez simplement... Peut-être que j’ai dit là la chose qu’il ne fallait pas, mais j’espère que ce n’est pas le cas.
Elle connaissait donc ce Bébé; elle savait à qui Il appartenait. Elle savait que c’était le Fils de Dieu, peu importe combien c’était la disgrâce. Et vous savez que si vous avez déjà reçu le Saint-Esprit, vous savez que c’est cela l’expérience de Dieu pour vous. Et vous savez d’où vous venez. Vous savez de quelle fosse vous avez été tiré. Vous savez ce qui vous a sauvé, vous savez ce qui vous a rendu différent.
Et elle s’est avancée, disant: «Ça ne dérange pas, ce que les gens disent. Je n’y prêterai aucune attention. Je vais juste regarder à Toi, Chéri.»
Oh! Si seulement l’Eglise pentecôtiste pouvait tomber amoureuse de Christ comme cela. «Seigneur, je vais regarder à Toi, Chéri. Tu es le Chéri de Dieu. Quoique rejeté. Je vais me rendre... je vais me conduire comme un véritable chrétien. Je vais marcher dans la Lumière de la croix, avec des bras ouverts, des bras d’amour et de tendresse.»
«Oui, je sais à qui Tu appartiens, Chéri. Tu es un Cadeau qui m’a été offert par Dieu.»

So she knowed that Baby; she knowed Who it belonged to. She knowed that was God's Son, no matter how much disgrace it is. And you know that if you've ever received the Holy Ghost, you know that that's God's experience for you. You know where you come from. You know the pit you were taken from. You know what saved you. You know what made you different.
And she went along, "That's all right what they say. I'll not pay any attention. I'll just look at You, Darling."
Oh, if the Pentecostal church could just fall in love with Christ like that. "Lord, I'll look at You, Darling. You're God's Darling. Cast out to the dogs. I will make myself... I'll give my conduct like a real Christian. I'll walk in the light of the cross, with a arm out of love and sweetness."
"Yeah, I know Who You belong to, Darling. You were a present give to me by God."

E-57 Et tout d’abord, vous savez, le vieux Siméon était assis là dans la pièce, lisant Esaïe 9.6. Et le Saint-Esprit... Now, look, if the Holy Spirit has promised you something, and you've been expecting it, it's up to the Holy Spirit then to see that you're led to it. How many's been expecting a revival? All right. Now, maybe this is the time He's led you to it. If there's a revival in making, He will bring you right in. How many's been expecting healing? Sure, all right, then here you are right at the fountain.
Look. David said, "When the deep calleth to the deep." If there's a deep calling on the inside, there's got to be a deep somewhere to respond to that deep. See what I mean? Before there... Here you're people live by the seaside. Before there was a fin on a fish's back, there had to be a water first for him to swim in, or he'd never had no fin. Before the tree to grow in the earth, there had to be a earth first, or there'd be no tree to grow in it.

E-58 Comme je l’ai toujours raconté, il y a quelque temps j’ai lu dans le journal, un article au sujet d’un petit garçon qui ne cessait de manger les gommes de ses crayons à l’école; et on l’a retourné à la maison et on a demandé à sa mère ce qui n’allait pas chez ce petit enfant. Et un jour, elle l’a trouvé dehors en train de manger la pédale d’une bicyclette. Elle l’a alors amené au laboratoire pour–ou plutôt à la clinique pour qu’on examine son–son sang et tout. Lorsqu’on a examiné le petit garçon, on a découvert qu’il avait besoin de soufre. Son petit corps avait terriblement besoin de soufre. Or, le soufre se trouve dans le caoutchouc. Alors regardez maintenant, avant qu’il y ait ce grand besoin de soufre, il a dû premièrement y avoir du soufre pour répondre à ce besoin.
En d’autres termes, avant qu’il y ait une création, il devait y avoir un Créateur pour créer la création. Voyez-vous ce que je veux dire? Maintenant, si vous avez soif de plus de Dieu... Combien aimeraient avoir plus de Dieu? Eh bien, cela montre qu’il y a plus de Dieu que vous pouvez avoir. C’est juste. Vous désirez être guéri? Eh bien, aussi certain que vous croyez que Dieu est un Guérisseur, il y a une Fontaine ouverte quelque part; sinon, vous n’éprouveriez jamais ce désir. | E-58 As I've often made this statement. I read a article in the paper some time ago, that a little boy at school kept eating the erasers off his pencil, and they sent home and asked his mother what was the matter with this little fellow? And one day she found him outside eating the pedal off of a bicycle. So she took him down at the laboratory to--or clinic, rather, to have his--his blood tested and so forth. So when they checked the little fellow, they found out that he needed sulfur. His little body was craving sulfur. So sulfur's in rubber. So now look, before there could be a crave for sulfur, there had to be a sulfur first to respond to that crave.
In other words before there is a creation, there has to be a Creator to create the creation. See what I mean? Now, if you're thirsting for more of God... How many would like to have more of God? Well, it shows you there's more of God for you to have. That's right. You want to be healed? Why, just as sure as you believe that God is a Healer, there's a fountain open somewhere or you'd never have that desire. If you crave to have the Holy Ghost, that shows there's a fountain open somewhere filled with the Holy Ghost. See, there has to be a Creator to create the creation. And then there has to be something out there to respond to that creation.

Eh bien, il y a une Fontaine quelque part pour accomplir cela. C’est ce que vous cherchez, c’est ce que vous cherchez.
Eh bien, alors à ce moment-là, si c’est ce que vous cherchez, si vous en rendez témoignage et vous vous attendez à cela parce que c’était une promesse (et chaque promesse dans le Livre vous appartient), c’est donc ce que vous cherchez, alors si cela était tout près de lui, le Saint-Esprit était obligé de le conduire à cet endroit où se trouvait Christ. C’est cela le devoir du Saint-Esprit.
Eh bien, si vous croyez dans la guérison, le Saint-Esprit a le devoir de vous conduire jusqu’à cette Fontaine. Maintenant, vous n’avez pas à y entrer, mais c’est Lui qui va conduire la chose, vous la montrer. Si vous cherchez le Saint-Esprit, alors le Saint-Esprit vous conduira directement jusqu’à l’endroit où vous pouvez recevoir le Saint-Esprit, si vous Le laissez tout simplement vous conduire.
| E-59 Now, the Holy Spirit was obligated then, to lead him to that fountain. Amen. Oh, if you're expecting it, the same Holy Spirit leads you to that fountain. It's got to open up somewhere. If you got that burning desire in your heart, the Holy Spirit's obligated to lead you to it, right to that fountain filled with Blood, drawn from Immanuel's veins, where sinners (That's unbelievers.), plunge beneath the flood, lose all their unbelief. That's right. Oh, you want to be to a place to where you can surpass any doubt in your mind. Don't you want to be that way? Well, there's a fountain somewhere to do that. You're searching for it, searching for it.
Now, then at that time, if you've been searching for it, testifying about it, expecting it because it was a promise... And every promise in the Book belongs to you, so you've been searching for it, then if it was close to him, it was the Holy Spirit's obligation to lead him to that place to where Christ was. That's the Holy Spirit's obligation.
Now, if you believe in healing, it's the Holy Spirit's obligation to lead you right up to the fountain. Now, you don't have to get in, but He will lead it up, show you. If you're seeking the Holy Spirit, then the Holy Spirit will lead you right up to the place where you can receive the Holy Ghost, if you just let Him lead you.

«Que dois-je faire?»
«Continue simplement d’avancer. Je vais te conduire.» Etes-vous disposé à Le laisser faire cela, non pas prendre votre pensée à vous, mais prendre simplement Sa pensée? «Que la pensée qui était en Christ soit en vous.» Ne critiquez pas. Si vous ne comprenez pas la chose, cherchez-la dans les Ecritures et voyez si c’est juste ou pas. Vous voyez? «Continue simplement d’avancer.»

"Where you want me to go, Lord?"
"Not for you to know, just keep walking." Here he come, don't know where he's going; he just walked. Walks out into the room, he looks all around. "Just keep walking, Simeon."
"Where abouts, Lord?"
"Just keep walking. Just keep walking."
"What must I do?"
"Just keep walking. I'll lead you." Are you willing to let Him do that, not take your own mind, just take His mind? "Let the mind that was in Christ be in you." Don't criticize. If you can't understand it, look it up in the Scripture and see if it's right or not. See? "Just keep walking."

E-61 Maintenant, il se dirige vers cette file de femmes, peut-être qu’il y en avait trois ou quatre cents qui se tenaient là. Je le vois qui longe la file. «Seigneur, je...?... Au bout de quelque temps, aussitôt que ses yeux sont tombés sur cette jeune femme... Toutes les autres se tenaient là derrière, comme des croyants frontaliers, vous savez, elles se tenaient là derrière de côté: «Les jours des miracles sont passés», et ainsi de suite. Mais, vous savez, pour un coeur affamé qui est conduit par Dieu, il sait où il en est lorsqu’il découvre la chose. Il–il sait qu’il est arrivé quelque part.
Ainsi Siméon, lorsqu’il est arrivé tout près de l’endroit où se trouvait ce Bébé, je peux juste voir le vieux sage, les grosses larmes brillantes coulant sur ses joues couvertes de barbe, tendre les bras et prendre ce petit Bébé dans ses bras; il a levé les yeux vers le Ciel, oh! quel sentiment! «Seigneur, maintenant, laisse Ton serviteur s’en aller en paix, selon Ta Parole: car mes yeux ont vu Ton Salut. La chose même que tout le monde critiquait et dont on se moquait, c’est Ton salut. Laisse Ton serviteur s’en aller maintenant en paix, selon Ta Parole. Maintenant, je suis prêt à partir, car mes yeux ont vu Ton Salut.»
| E-61 Now, he walks over to this line of women, maybe there was three or four hundred of them standing there. I see him walking down the line. "Lord, I...?... You told me one day, and the Holy Ghost upon me, made me known many things. You've never failed me. I don't know what You want with me this morning, but You told me just keep walking, so here I am." Walking... After awhile, as soon as his eyes fell upon that little woman, all of them standing back, like borderline believers, you know, standing back on the side, "Days of miracles is past," and so forth. But you know, to a hungry heart that's being led by God, they know where it's at when they find it. They--they know they've arrived somewhere.
So Simeon, when he got up there close to where this baby was, I can just see the old sage and the big glistering tears drop off of his bearded cheeks, and reach over, and grab that baby in his arms, looked up towards heaven, oh, what a feeling. "Lord, now let Thy servant depart in peace, according to Thy Word: for my eyes have seen thy Salvation. The very thing that everybody was criticizing and making fun of, that's Thy salvation. Let Thy servant now depart in peace, according to Your Word. I'm ready to go now, for mine eyes have seen Thy Salvation."

E-62 Là au fond, dans un coin, se trouvait une vieille prophétesse aveugle; mais elle pouvait voir directement à travers ce mur parce qu’elle était une prophétesse. Elle aussi attendait la consolation d’Israël. Et le Saint-Esprit était sur elle, elle était aveugle, elle était étendue là dans un coin. Elle s’est levée. Le Saint-Esprit doit lui avoir dit: «Lève-toi, Anne.» La voici qui vient à travers le temple, elle était physiquement aveugle, mais elle voyait beaucoup plus loin que bon nombre de gens qui se tenaient là avec de bons yeux. Oh! c’est ce genre de vue que je désire. La voici qui vient, titubant à travers la salle, aveugle. Elle est allée tout droit là où se trouvait ce Bébé. Oh! la la! elle a levé les mains et elle a béni Dieu, elle a béni Marie, elle a prophétisé juste là devant eux, disant que l’Enfant allait amener la chute et le relèvement de beaucoup en Israël, et tout cela, et qu’une épée allait transpercer le coeur de Marie.» Et les prophètes avaient annoncé cela.
| E-62 Way back in the corner was an old blind prophetess, but she could see right through those walls because she was a prophetess. She also was waiting for the consolation of Israel. And the Spirit was upon her, blind, laying over in a corner. She raised up. The Holy Spirit must've said, "Raise up, Anna." Here she come through the Temple, blind physically, but she could see a lot farther than many of them was standing there with good eyes. Oh, that's the kind of sight I desire. Here she come, winding her way around through the building, blind. And she come right straight to where that Baby was. Oh, my. She raised up her hands and blessed God, blessed Mary, prophesied right there before them, that the Child would be for a fall and rise again in many in Israel and all that, a sword would also pierce the heart," and how the prophets had said that would take place.

Don't look for the applaud of the world; you won't have it. But be willing to sacrifice your prestige. Everything that you are, sacrifice it to the Kingdom of God. Sacrifice your time for prayer. Sacrifice your life. Sacrifice your card game. Sacrifice all the things of the world; give it over to the devil. Let him have it; it belongs to him. You walk with Christ.

E-64 Une fois, cela fait quelques années, un grand musicien américain était en visite en Russie; et il a joué une ouverture à Moscou. Et il est dit qu’il avait joué cela tellement avec brio, étant un si grand génie, que le public s’est levé par milliers et a crié et a tapé du pied, et les gens criaient pour qu’il rejoue le morceau. Et le jeune homme se tenait simplement là. Et il a continué de regarder comme cela. Eh bien, on... tout le monde s’est mis à se demander ce qui lui arrivait. Ne voulait-il pas accepter leurs applaudissements? Tous applaudissaient.
C’est cela le problème que nous avons aujourd’hui; nous cherchons que quelqu’un nous tapote dans le dos, disant: «Oh! vous êtes ceci, cela.» Ne recherchez pas cela; le monde ne le fera jamais. Si le tapotement doit venir, ça sera dans le coeur par le Seigneur Jésus-Christ. Vous voyez? Ne cherchez pas à ce que le monde dise: «Oh! madame Jones, elle est une bonne...» Non, non, ne cherchez pas cela. On va vous critiquer. Tous ceux qui vivent pieusement en Jésus-Christ seront persécutés.» Souvenez-vous tout simplement, si cela n’arrive pas, alors il y a quelque chose qui cloche quelque part; faites un examen. Revenons, et voyons là où nous sommes sortis de la ligne. Nous cherchons quelque chose qui va dire: «Nous avons–nous sommes membres de la plus grande organisation pentecôtiste. Nous sommes membres de ceci ou de cela.» Vous voyez? Ne recherchez pas cela, si vous le faites vous sortez du chemin étroit et resserré.
| E-64 One time, a few years ago, there was a great American musician who took a visit to Russia; and he played an overture in Moscow. And they said that he played it with such brilliance and such great genius as he was, till the audience stood by the thousands and screamed, and stomped their foot, and screamed for him to play it again. And the boy just stood there. And he just kept looking like that. Well, they--all of them begin to wonder what was the matter with him. Wouldn't he receive their applaud? They was all applauding.
That's what's the trouble today; we're looking for somebody to try to pat us on the back, saying, "Oh, you're this, that." Don't look for that; the world will never do it. If the pat comes it'll be on the heart by the Lord Jesus. You see? Don't look for the world to say, "Oh, Mrs. Jones, she's a fine..." No, no, don't look for that. You'll be criticized. "All that live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution." Just remember, if it doesn't come there's something wrong somewhere; check up; come back, see where we left. We're looking for something to say, "We got--we belong to the biggest organization in Pentecost. We belong to this or we belong to that." See? Don't look for that, if you do you're walking out of the straight narrow road.

E-65 Cet homme, il était... les gens applaudissaient, criaient et disaient: «Il devrait s’incliner en guise de salut. C’est juste. ‘Oh! merci beaucoup. Merci beaucoup. Je vais jouer un meilleur petit morceau cette fois-ci.’» Mais, ce n’est pas ce qu’il faisait. Et les gens se sont arrêtés. Ils se sont tous regardés les uns les autres, et ils ont encore tous applaudi et ont tapé du pied. Mais ce jeune homme n’a prêté aucune attention au public qui tapait du pied ou qui battait des mains. Il s’est fait qu’ils ont observé une chose: il avait les yeux fixés comme cela, là-haut au balcon. Et il regardait là-haut pour voir (son vieux maître était assis là-haut) le vieux maître de musique. Il voulait savoir ce qu’il allait dire à ce sujet. Il ne se préoccupait pas de ce que les gens disaient; il voulait savoir ce que lui disait. Et je pense que c’est ce que nous devrions penser dans ce réveil qui approche. Ne nous soucions pas de ce que le monde va penser; continuons à regarder Là-Haut pour voir ce que le Maître va dire, le Maître qui nous a donné le Saint-Esprit, le Maître qui nous a enseigné à vivre correctement, le Maître qui nous a donné Sa Parole, le Maître qui nous a donné Sa Vie. Vivons pour Lui qui est mort pour nous, et ne prêtons nullement attention au monde; voyons plutôt ce que Lui en dira. Sur ce, venons demain soir en étant dans une grande attente pour voir la manifestation de Dieu guérissant les malades et les affligés.
| E-65 This man, they was--they were applauding and screaming and saying, "He ought to make a bow. That's right. 'Oh, thank you all so much. Thank you all so much. I'll play you a little better one this time.'" But he wasn't doing it. And they stopped. Everybody looked at one another, and they all clapped again and stomped their feet. But the boy never paid any attention to them stomping their feet or clapping their hands. They happened to notice. He had his eyes fixed up like that, way up into the balcony. And he looked up there to see; his old teacher was setting up there, the old master of music. He wanted to know what he was going to say about it. He didn't care what they said; he wanted to know what he said about it.
And I think that's what we ought to think in this oncoming revival. Let's not think of what the world's going to think; let's keep looking up and see what the Master's going to say, the Master Who gave us the Holy Spirit, the Master Who taught us to live right, the Master Who gave us His Word, the Master Who gave us His life. Let us live for Him Who died for us, and not pay any attention to the world, but see what He's saying about it. On that, let's come tomorrow night with great expectations to see the manifestation of God healing the sick and afflicted.

Lorsque je suis arrivé dans cette ville hier soir, on dirait pratiquement une bande de voyous qui se tenaient ici à un certain endroit, portant des jackets de motards, des pantalons descendus à mi-chemin sur les hanches et certains... suffisamment de cheveux et donnant l’impression que cela... plus que ce que les femmes ont sur la tête comme cela, ils étaient assis là, et... Qu’est-ce qui arrive à ce monde? Qu’est-ce qui ne va pas? Oh! jeune homme, jeune femme, sortez de cette folie. Le Saint-Esprit vous a conduit ici ce soir. Levez la main et acceptez-Le comme votre Sauveur personnel ce soir. Il ôtera tous vos péchés et vous donnera une joie dont vous ne connaissez encore rien, jusqu’à ce que vous L’aurez accepté. Il n’est pas nécessaire que vous soyez jeune, même les vieux peuvent faire de même.
| E-66 Let us bow our heads just a moment. Are you under expectation, church? Are you expecting God to pour out His Spirit? Is there a sinner here would like to start tonight and come up to the altar and say, "I want to kneel down and pray, Brother Branham. I--I'm expecting God to save me tonight; I--I come in that door with that expectation." If you're here, come. What led you in the door, son? What led you in the door, young lady? What did it? What jerked you from that teen-age crowd of reckless people in the world?
When I come into the city the other night, just like almost a bunch of hoods standing out here at a place, motorcycle jackets on, britches pulled halfway down on their hips and some--enough hair looked like it--more than the women wear on top their head like that, setting out there, and... What's happening to this world? What's the matter? Oh, young man, young woman, jerk yourself from that insane stage. The Holy Spirit led you here tonight. Raise up your hands and accept Him as your personal Saviour tonight. He will take away all your sins and give you joy that you know nothing about yet, until you've accepted Him. You don't have to be young; the old can do the same.

Amenez-les ici afin que vous puissiez les amener à la Fontaine, comme–comme Philippe était parti prendre Nathanaël pour l’amener auprès du Seigneur Jésus. That's good. Got a request on your heart, say, "God, I'm expecting You to answer me in this revival. I've got lost children. I've got a lost daddy, mother, brother, or sister, or loved one, neighbor. Remember them, Lord." Just raise up your hand. He will--He--He will hear it; He will know it. Just in your heart, just say that. "Save this loved one." Now, if you've raised your hand to Him, then go get that loved one and bring them in. Bring them in. That's the way. Bring them here so you can bring them to the fountain, like--like Philip went and brought Nathanael to the Lord Jesus. He told him where he was at, under the tree, when he found him.

E-68 Notre Père céleste, nous sommes heureux ce soir pour le privilège que nous avons de nous tenir debout dans cette église et de prier pour les gens. Ô Dieu, Je Te prie, ne les laisse–laisse pas penser, Seigneur, que je cherche à les réprimander; mais j’essaie simplement de placer les Ecritures devant eux. Et il leur faudra marcher sur Cela, Seigneur, et rejeter Cela de côté avant de continuer dans le mal. Je prie que chaque personne, moi-même, nous tous, nous fassions un inventaire de nos vies et comparions cela avec les exigences de Dieu. Accorde-le, Père.
| E-68 Our heavenly Father, we're happy tonight for the privilege of standing in this church and praying for the people. We're thankful for Your Word: Thy Word is life, Lord. And I pray that You'll send the revival that we're asking for. And now, Lord, I'm ask You something personally myself. Please, dear heavenly Father, put in the people's heart an expectation. Let them never forget that. All down along the nights, if we shall continue in the meeting, may they remember tonight, they're expecting it. We come every night, say, "Well, it never happened last night, but it--I'll be expecting it tomorrow night. It'll--it'll be tomorrow night. I'll be the one. I'll be the one that receives the Holy Ghost. I'll be the one--the first one at the altar to repent of my sins. I'll be the first one that God sanctifies and takes all the world out of me. Lord, I'm ashamed of my life. I'm ashamed the way I've been doing. I--I want You to take it away from me, give me something so great Lord, that I won't want to go back in that hog wallow again." As the Bible plainly said, "As the sow returns to her wallow, a dog to its vomit..." And we can see Lord, that many of our Pentecostal people are acting the same way: come up out of the world and going right back in it again.
God, please, let--let them not think, Lord, I'm trying to scold them, but merely trying to put the Scripture in front of them. They'll have to walk over it, Lord, and push it aside to go any farther. I pray that every person, and myself, and all of us, will take an inventory of our lives and compare it with God's requirement. Grant it, Father.

Tu as dit: «Vous êtes le sel de la terre. Mais si le sel perd sa saveur, il ne sert plus qu’à être jeté dehors, et foulé aux pieds par les hommes.»
| E-69 Forgive us of our sins, forgive us of our mistakes and our errors. Let the Blood of the Lord Jesus sanctify this little church tonight. O God, may every person in here get a--a touch of the Holy Spirit right away, Father. Grant it. Let it come, please do, Lord, and start a revival right here in this city. Grant it, Lord. Make this church an example, a--a example church. And let the people come from different parts and look in here and see the way their conduct is and how they shuck back from the things of the world, back into the real true genuine Pentecostal path of real genuine Pentecostal experiences, walking with You, blameless. Grant it, Lord.
Then other churches will see; they'll say, "Well, if--if the brother can have his church like that, and all them people can be together, and their hearts can be one, and--and they got a arm out for everyone, and look how much difference there is in them." Lord, then they'll hunger and thirst.
You said, "You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt looses its savour, it's henceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out and trod under the feet of men."

E-70 Ô Dieu, ce n’est pas que les gens aimeraient m’écouter; ferme si possible leurs oreilles. Mais je–j’aimerais dire ceci, Père: je regarde ce que l’Eglise pentecôtiste devient. Ô Dieu, nous professons la sainteté, et que sommes-nous devenus? Du sel qui a perdu sa saveur. Ô Dieu, ramène sans tarder la saveur au sel, afin que cela puisse entrer en contact avec ce monde pourri, afin que cela puisse... Cela produit une saveur lorsqu’il entre en contact. Et cela possède la vie; cela sauve. Ô Dieu, fais que nous soyons une saveur pour le monde; accorde-le, Seigneur. Mets en nous la saveur pour fortifier l’église, afin que les gens puissent entrer par cette porte pour voir la puissance de résurrection du Seigneur Jésus agir parmi le peuple, pour qu’Il se manifeste comme étant vivant à jamais.
Que nous ne puissions pas regarder aux applaudissements de gens, ni à l’opinion de gens, de quarante mille personnes qui sont dans la réunion pour faire un réveil. Ô Dieu, ça, ce n’est pas un réveil. Je prie que le Saint-Esprit s’empare de quelques coeurs et secoue l’église pour produire un véritable réveil de la Pentecôte. Accorde-le, Seigneur. Tu as promis d’exaucer les prières. | E-70 God, not that the people would hear me, if possible close their ears. But I--I want to say this, Father. I look at the way the Pentecostal church is getting. O God, professing holiness, and what have we become? Salt that's lost its savour. God, bring the savour back to the salt quickly, that it might contact this rottening world, that it might... It's a savour if it contacts. And it's got life in it; it'll save. God, make us savours of the world, grant it, Lord. Put the savour in us to strengthen the church, that people might walk in this door and see the power of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus moving among the people, showing Himself alive forevermore.
May we not look to the applaud of the people, or the opinion of the people, of forty thousand in a meeting to make a revival. O God, that isn't a revival. I pray that the Holy Spirit will get a hold of a few hearts, and shake the church, and cause a real Pentecostal revival. Grant it, Lord. You promised to hear prayer, and I believe You will, as I commit the service to You and the peoples to You, that You might answer our prayers and fulfill our desires. In the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

E-74 Je–je continue simplement–je cherche à éluder un problème ici. Je vais le dire. Lors de ma dernière réunion à Tucson, en Arizona, il y a trois ou quatre soirées, j’ai vu entrer là des Blancs empesés, des pentecôtistes empesés au possible. J’ai vu entrer là de pauvres vieux Mexicains. Ils étaient là ce matin-là pendant que je prêchais au service du matin. Ils étaient assis dans cette église-là toute la journée, de 9 h 00’ du matin jus-... eh bien, c’était à 8 h 00’, autour de 7 h 00’, je pense, ou plutôt de 8 h 00’ qu’ils sont entrés. Et ils se sont assis et sont restés carrément là dans cette église jusqu’au soir. Et lorsque le moment est arrivé, lorsque le Saint-Esprit est descendu au milieu de la salle, qui ont été guéris? Les Espagnols, les Mexicains. Le Saint-Esprit est allé juste à travers l’assistance et a fait se lever les malades et les affligés et tout le reste comme cela, amenant...?... Les Espagnols, les humbles. En venant ils s’attendaient à cela. Ils n’avaient rien du monde, ils regardaient simplement à Christ.
| E-74 I--I just keep--I'm trying to dodge a issue here. I'm going to say it. My last meeting at Tucson, Arizona, three or four nights ago. I seen the white people come in there, starchy, Pentecostal, starchy as they could be. I seen some poor old Mexican comes in there. They was there that morning when I spoke at the morning service. They set right in that church all day long, from nine o'clock that morning un--well, it was eight o'clock, about seven o'clock I guess, or eight, when they come in. And they set and stayed right around in that church until that evening. And when it come time, when the Holy Spirit dropped in among the building, who got healed? Spanish, the Mexicans. The Holy Spirit going right out through the audience and raising up the sick and afflicted and everything like that, bringing...?... Spanish, humble. Come expecting it. Nothing of the world, just looking to Christ.

E-75 Tout récemment, je me trouvais en Allemagne. Un très bon frère, il n’est pas ici ce soir, sinon, il se trouverait sur l’estrade. Miner Arganbright est un homme droit. C’est un homme de bien. Vous pouvez faire confiance à Miner Arganbright en tant que chrétien. J’ai été avec lui dans toutes sortes de réunions. Il était assis là ce soir-là, lorsque quinze sorciers, se tenant de chaque côté, essayaient de faire emporter la tente par le vent. Et on a vu là la tempête se lever, là où il y avait trente ou quarante mille personnes, et cette tente était secouée, lorsque ces sorciers ont coupé cette plume à l’aide d’une paire de ciseaux et qu’ils l’ont pointée vers moi, puis ils sont allés par là, faisant des enchantements et disant qu’ils allaient faire venir la tempête. Et ils l’ont fait. Ne les sous-mes... estimez pas. Ils ont donc fait venir la tempête. Ils ont dit: «Nous allons faire emporter cela par le vent.» Et cette grande tente montait et descendait comme cela.
J’ai dit: «Frère Arganbright, priez.» J’ai dit: «Frère Rauster, n’interprétez pas ceci.»
J’ai dit: «Seigneur Dieu, lorsque Je suis descendu de cet avion l’autre jour au Nom du Seigneur Jésus, Tu m’as dit que Tu Te tiendrais à me côtés au moment des troubles. Tu ne m’as jamais déçu. Par conséquent, Seigneur, cette foule est tout agitée; il y a des centaines et des milliers de communistes assis ici, ainsi que cette petite fille aveugle qui vient d’être guérie.» J’ai dit: «C’est Toi, ô Dieu, qui peux faire partir ce nuage; ainsi je réprimande ce nuage.» Dieu est mon Juge; juste au milieu de la tente, le nuage a commencé à se dissiper et il s’est éloigné comme ceci. Et en moins d’une minute, le soleil a brillé. Le tonnerre grondait comme cela, pendant qu’on se tenait là. Oui.

A real fine brother, he's not here tonight, or he'd be on the platform. Miner Arganbright is gun barrel straight. He's a fine man. You can put your trust in Miner Arganbright as a Christian. I've been with him in all kinds of meetings. He was setting there that night when fifteen witch doctors on each side, trying to blow the thing away, and seen there the storm lifting around thirty or forty thousand people, that tent shaking, them witch doctors cutting that feather, and pointing it towards me, with them scissors and going through there and chanting and said they'd call the storm. They did it. Don't you never undermes--estimate them. So they called the storm, said, "We'll blow it away." And that great big place moving up and down like that.
I said, "Brother Arganbright, pray." I said, "Brother Rauster, don't interpret this." I said, "Lord God, I stepped off that plane the other day in the Name of the Lord Jesus. You told me You'd stand by me in the hour of trouble. You've never failed me yet. Therefore, Lord, this crowd's all excited; there's hundreds and thousands of communists setting here, and that little blind girl has just been healed." I said, "It's you, God, You can move that cloud, so I rebuke that cloud." God being my judge, right in the middle of the tent she begin to break and roll away like this, and in less than a minute the sun was shining. The thunder roaring out like that, standing there, yes.

E-76 Et j’ai remarqué les Suisses. Les Suisses n’ont jamais eu de problèmes. Ils sont comme les Américains. Ils sont biens nourris, et oh! la la! ils sont tout aussi suffisants, si vous voulez bien exprimer–si vous voulez bien excuser l’expression. Nous sommes ceci et cela; nous sommes des zwinglistes; nous sommes–nous sommes des luthériens, nous n’avons pas besoin d’écouter de telles affaires.» Et tous ces pauvres Allemands étaient découragés. Nous avons compté cent quatre-vingts bus pleins, ces grandes bus pleins au toit vitré, qui étaient venus là où environ cinquante mille personnes s’étaient rassemblées, là dans cette grande arène. Et lorsque... Que s’est-il passé? Quand le Saint-Esprit s’est mis à descendre, Il a appelé tous les Allemands qui se trouvaient là. Et eux, Il les a laissés assis juste là où ils étaient assis, toujours malades, toujours dans leur péché. Ils étaient assis juste là. Et Il a guéri les Allemands qui étaient venus, étant dans l’expectative et ayant les bras ouverts. Ils avaient été abattus au point (ces chrétiens qui se trouvaient là sous le règne d’Hitler et les autres)–ils avaient été abattus au point où ils avaient dû chercher Dieu pour obtenir miséricorde. Oh! Dieu sait comment faire les choses.
Mes amis, prenez garde, que cela ne soit pas votre cas. Venez en étant dans l’expectative; soyez prêts. Mettez de côté tout petit fardeau qui vous enveloppe si facilement, et venez d’un coeur humble, vous attendant à ce que Dieu tienne Sa Parole. Il le fera.

We counted a hundred and eighty bus loads, them big glass top bus loads, come in to where there's about fifty thousand gathered together there in the big arena. And when... What happened? When the Holy Spirit begin to fall, everyone out there was the Germans that He called. Left them setting right where they was setting, still in their sickness, still in their sin. Set right there. And healed the Germans, that come with expectations and arms out. They'd been beat down to a place, them Christians up there under Hitler and them, had been beat to a place till they had to look to God for mercy. Oh, God knows how to do things.
Friends, watch, don't let it be you. You come with expectations; be ready. Lay aside every little weight that so easily beset you, and come humble in heart, expecting God to keep His Word. He will do it.

Je vais par la foi, Seigneur, je regarde à ces clous qui ont été enfoncés dans Tes pieds et dans Tes mains. Je pose mes mains sur cette perforation de Ton côté. Je–je sens la déchirure faite par les clous. Tu es mort afin que moi, je vive, Seigneur. Laisse-moi renoncer à moi-même, Seigneur. Laisse-moi renoncer à tout mon orgueil et à toute la folie de ma vie. Laisse-moi sentir cela dans mon coeur ce soir, Seigneur. Laisse cette église sentir cela dans son coeur. «Acquit mon salut au Calvaire.» C’est Toi l’Agneau de Dieu qui ôte le péché du monde. Et moi, je suis le pécheur là. Ôte mes péchés. Ô Agneau de Dieu, je viens. Je viens, confessant mes fautes. Je viens, confessant mes erreurs. Et je confesse que je ne suis pas digne de vivre, mais, Seigneur, laisse-moi vivre pour Celui qui est mort pour moi. Laisse-moi abandonner toutes les choses du monde afin d’être trouvé en Lui comme un serviteur fidèle. Bénis cette église, Père, alors que nous Te fredonnons ce cantique d’un coeur reconnaissant, le chantant du fond de nos coeurs. Tu as dit: «Que tu as tiré de nos coeurs des mélodies de joie», parce que l’huile de joie de Dieu a été déversée dans nos âmes. | E-77 Let's hum it to Him. Look yonder at Calvary. The winds are blowing. His back's sticking to the cross, Blood and spit over His face.
I go by faith, Lord, I look at that nail in Your feet and in Your hands. I put my hands upon that thrust in Your side. I--I feel the tear of the nails. You died that I might live, Lord. Let me lose myself, Lord. Let me lose all of my pride and all the foolishness in my life. Let me feel it in my heart tonight, Lord. Let this church feel it in their heart. "Purchased my salvation on Calvary." You are the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world. And I'm the one that's sinful. Take away my sins. O Lamb of God, I come. I come confessing my wrongs. I come confessing my errors. And I confess that I'm not worthy to live, but, Lord, let me live for Him that died for me. Let me forsake all the things of the world that I might be found in Him a true servant. Bless this church, Father, as we hum this song to You in grateful hearts, singing it from our hearts. You said, "Making melody in our heart of the gladness," because the oil of God's gladness is poured out in our souls.
